[1:56] Speaker 1: What's one of the biggest differences that you're seeing year
[1:58] Speaker 1: over year or or I mean, you could be look
[2:00] Speaker 1: at this landscape and thinking that it's the same, but
[2:03] Speaker 1: what are you seeing overall and if there is a
[2:05] Speaker 1: change year over year.
[2:07] Speaker 3: Well, one thing is you know, this year we have
[2:10] Speaker 3: a different rookie class than last year, and there's some
[2:14] Speaker 3: strengths and weaknesses, mostly weaknesses compared to last year's rookie class,
[2:19] Speaker 3: and I think that.
[2:20] Speaker 2: Changes things up.
[2:22] Speaker 3: In some pretty big ways for this year's landscape and
[2:25] Speaker 3: Best Ball rookies, you know, have been a pretty big part.
[2:29] Speaker 3: Especially rookie receivers have been like a pretty big edge
[2:33] Speaker 3: in Bestball leagues over the years, and so, you know,
[2:37] Speaker 3: I think you're seeing a couple of things. One the
[2:39] Speaker 3: rookie running backs, there's a couple first rounders that go
[2:43] Speaker 3: reasonably high, and I think both guys are our interesting picks.
[2:47] Speaker 3: I like Jeremi, I love more at ADP. But then
[2:51] Speaker 3: you get past those guys and it really dries up
[2:55] Speaker 3: and we're talking, you know, a lot, a lot of
[2:57] Speaker 3: Day three type of guys that in June are hard
[3:01] Speaker 3: to know for sure if we're going to get anything
[3:03] Speaker 3: from this year, and not having interesting rookie upside swings
[3:09] Speaker 3: in you know, let's say, outside the top six rounds.
[3:14] Speaker 2: Definitely shakes things up a bit.
[3:16] Speaker 3: And then at wide receiver, I think some of the
[3:20] Speaker 3: stink of the rookie class from a dynasty perspective has
[3:23] Speaker 3: translated over to the Best Ball market, and I actually
[3:27] Speaker 3: think there's some values at rookie wide receiver this year
[3:30] Speaker 3: where they're a little bit cheaper than we've had over
[3:33] Speaker 3: the past. Couple of years, So those guys, to me
[3:36] Speaker 3: are actually targets. A number of them are pretty clear
[3:40] Speaker 3: targets at at cheaper prices than we've had recently, where
[3:43] Speaker 3: rookie wide receivers have kind of had some inflation compared
[3:47] Speaker 3: to where they used to go, like four or five years.
[3:48] Speaker 2: Ago with this rookie class.
[3:50] Speaker 1: Because I'll kind of skip ahead to another question that
[3:52] Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you, but I think it's pretty
[3:54] Speaker 1: pertinent and kind of ties into it. When I'm drafting
[3:58] Speaker 1: right now, I'm looking at the late rounds and I
[4:00] Speaker 1: feel awful about almost every player that is available in
[4:03] Speaker 1: the late rounds of these drafts. My question to you is,
[4:07] Speaker 1: do you think that this is a normal feeling that
[4:09] Speaker 1: I feel every year and I've forgotten and this is
[4:12] Speaker 1: not any different than what we typically see, or do
[4:15] Speaker 1: you think that it is a weaker late round, you know,
[4:18] Speaker 1: around eighteen nineteen round twenty type group than we've historically seen.
[4:23] Speaker 1: And again, we have to give this context that we're
[4:25] Speaker 1: doing this in June, where I think probably in July
[4:28] Speaker 1: and August we'll have at least some better idea of
[4:30] Speaker 1: some situations and stuff like that, and you know, players
[4:33] Speaker 1: and the roles that they're going to play and maybe
[4:35] Speaker 1: we feel better about some more later round darts. Maybe
[4:37] Speaker 1: you don't even feel this way at all, But do
[4:39] Speaker 1: you think the rookie class is playing a huge role
[4:42] Speaker 1: in that feeling that I'm feeling.
[4:44] Speaker 3: One hundred percent of the rookie class is factoring in there.
[4:46] Speaker 3: I mean, last year, at the end of the summer,
[4:50] Speaker 3: like final weeks of drafts, Kyle Manungai started popping, as
[4:55] Speaker 3: you know, a pretty strong pick, and he remained available
[5:00] Speaker 3: like the eighteenth, nineteen twentieth round on DraftKings. You know,
[5:03] Speaker 3: he was a seventh round pick, so it took a
[5:04] Speaker 3: while for us to view him as as a reasonable click.
[5:09] Speaker 3: But I mean, it's hard for me to even see like.
[5:12] Speaker 2: Who that would be.
[5:13] Speaker 3: Because like k Tron Allen would would probably be a
[5:17] Speaker 3: comparable type of player. Well, Kateron Allen's already getting drafted.
[5:21] Speaker 3: You know, he's not available in those rounds now, so
[5:24] Speaker 3: there's just not as many guys. Now we were taking
[5:26] Speaker 3: Jarquiz Hunter, we were taking DJ Giddens, like, there were
[5:29] Speaker 3: a bunch of land mines.
[5:30] Speaker 2: Too, But it was the rookie class.
[5:33] Speaker 3: The depth of the running back class did make it
[5:35] Speaker 3: easier to kind of dream on these picks and then
[5:38] Speaker 3: also to ultimately find a couple of these guys who mattered,
[5:41] Speaker 3: even if it took a while to kind of realize
[5:43] Speaker 3: that that Manung guy was the best of the bunch
[5:45] Speaker 3: in those final rounds. But yeah, I mean, I think
[5:48] Speaker 3: there's also some NFL personnel shift stuff going on here
[5:52] Speaker 3: a little bit where we are seeing like more two
[5:55] Speaker 3: tight end sets, more teams talking about how I mean,
[5:59] Speaker 3: the Jaguars talking about playing more twelve.
[6:02] Speaker 2: It's like, come on, man, you've got.
[6:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, like nig Borcatur's I gotta worry about that.
[6:09] Speaker 4: Yeah, So it's you.
[6:11] Speaker 3: You get down and you're like, what receivers? Can I
[6:14] Speaker 3: just buy routes on? I think those guys, the depth
[6:18] Speaker 3: of that kind of group of players also probably a
[6:20] Speaker 3: little thinner now than it was a couple of years ago.
[6:22] Speaker 3: And I think part of it is like, yeah, it's
[6:26] Speaker 3: it isn't that fun always to you know.
[6:28] Speaker 2: In the nineteenth round like that.
[6:29] Speaker 3: That is not a high hit rate kind of group,
[6:33] Speaker 3: And we probably have memory wiped some of the disgusting
[6:35] Speaker 3: picks we were making over the past three four years.
[6:37] Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, I'm taking more tight ends in
[6:40] Speaker 3: those final rounds. Yeah, And I think that's one way
[6:44] Speaker 3: to kind of especially I am considering on my streams
[6:47] Speaker 3: just having like a rolling banner that says it's June.
[6:51] Speaker 2: Because.
[6:53] Speaker 3: Like there's there's like some like it used to be
[6:56] Speaker 3: that like Scott Fishbowl kind of kick things off and
[6:59] Speaker 3: the redraft, like this was Dynasty season.
[7:01] Speaker 2: It's just card but we were sending trades. We're not
[7:04] Speaker 2: really draft.
[7:04] Speaker 3: We could relax them in it in jail. Yeah, yeah,
[7:07] Speaker 3: And so that has changed. Like we're we're talking like
[7:10] Speaker 3: definitively about the structures of teams in twenty twenty six
[7:14] Speaker 3: for you know, the entire offseason in the early part
[7:18] Speaker 3: of June, and I think things will change. We're all
[7:22] Speaker 3: so much more dialed in than we were like in
[7:24] Speaker 3: twenty nineteen this time of year that it doesn't it's
[7:28] Speaker 3: like hard to remember that how much things can change
[7:30] Speaker 3: and probably will change. So the late rounds will look
[7:35] Speaker 3: different as we get more information. But for now, taking
[7:38] Speaker 3: some of these tight ends, you know, it does feel
[7:41] Speaker 3: like a way where you're not just like completely punting
[7:46] Speaker 3: and taking a zero and you're like maybe, like with
[7:49] Speaker 3: Eli Stowers, I probably am buying routes.
[7:51] Speaker 2: Particularly in the at the end of the season.
[7:53] Speaker 3: His ADP is around two hundred on DraftKings, right, So
[7:55] Speaker 3: it's like you get late and I'll take that fourth
[7:59] Speaker 3: tight end who's probably going to be running routes at
[8:01] Speaker 3: the end of the season. I'll take a stab on
[8:04] Speaker 3: one of the rams tight you know committee tight end guys.
[8:06] Speaker 3: They're going to play a bunch of tight ends. We
[8:08] Speaker 3: know that, so you know, Michael Mayer probably plays some.
[8:12] Speaker 3: You can get into this. Charlie Kolar started to consider
[8:15] Speaker 3: a little bit like is you know, purely as kind
[8:17] Speaker 3: of a twentieth round guy. He's a name on my
[8:20] Speaker 3: mind of not hammering him, but Mike is sicky. I've
[8:22] Speaker 3: taken a lot of yeah, because I think he you know,
[8:25] Speaker 3: he's on a good offense.
[8:26] Speaker 2: He'll run routes. It's going to be part time, they'll
[8:28] Speaker 2: spike for a couple of weeks, but it's the same.
[8:30] Speaker 3: Type of profile that you would have had, probably a
[8:32] Speaker 3: little bit more cheaply with with some of these wide
[8:34] Speaker 3: receivers that are harder to find. Once she gets the
[8:37] Speaker 3: final rounds and then I am taking though, as I
[8:39] Speaker 3: alluded to earlier, some of these rookie wide receivers. I
[8:42] Speaker 3: still think those guys are under priced and you can
[8:45] Speaker 3: get even in the final rounds.
[8:46] Speaker 2: You can get a Chris Brasel, you can get the Jacoby.
[8:49] Speaker 3: Lane, Elijah so Rott, you know, one or both those
[8:53] Speaker 3: guys if you want.
[8:54] Speaker 2: You can get Zach right branch.
[8:56] Speaker 3: You know, there's a bunch of those rookie wide receivers
[8:58] Speaker 3: that are still I mean, Jeremy Bernard is still you know,
[9:00] Speaker 3: he's more expensive than that. He's in the one eighties,
[9:03] Speaker 3: but he's pretty cheap for a second round pick, right,
[9:06] Speaker 3: you know, So there's once you get you know, not
[9:09] Speaker 3: the final rounds, but late in the draft, those rookieide
[9:13] Speaker 3: receivers definitely pop two well with the tight ends.
[9:16] Speaker 1: This is this is kind of I feel like, made
[9:19] Speaker 1: me not go as hard at elite tight end right now.
[9:24] Speaker 1: Is the fact that because the the latter parts of
[9:27] Speaker 1: the draft are I should say more so McBride than
[9:30] Speaker 1: Bauers to be fair, but like, because the latter parts
[9:33] Speaker 1: of the draft are set up the way they're they're
[9:35] Speaker 1: set up where I feel relatively decent about like Terrence
[9:39] Speaker 1: Ferguson having a role this year, like like doing doing
[9:42] Speaker 1: something at some point, right and like being a tight
[9:45] Speaker 1: end three or four even four right, because if I'm
[9:47] Speaker 1: if I'm waiting a decent or like Pat Fryermouth or
[9:50] Speaker 1: someone like that, where like.
[9:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, like Donald Washington, sure sure like the like there.
[9:56] Speaker 1: And it's because of, like you said, the way the
[9:57] Speaker 1: NFL is, of all the way it's changed, and you're
[10:00] Speaker 1: you're able to at least capture that position in that way.
[10:03] Speaker 1: But then you're staring at like Brock Bowers, who could
[10:05] Speaker 1: clearly go nuclear this year. Ye you know, you're staring
[10:08] Speaker 1: at Trey McBride coming off the season that he had.
[10:11] Speaker 1: Even Colson Lovelin you can make a very easy pro
[10:14] Speaker 1: argument for. So what's been your approach at tight end?
[10:17] Speaker 1: Has it been like like, Okay, I'm in round two,
[10:20] Speaker 1: I'm gonna just draft Bowers and then obviously adjust, you know,
[10:24] Speaker 1: as I go, Or is it like, hey, I know
[10:26] Speaker 1: that the way the landscape looks right now is that
[10:29] Speaker 1: there's a lot of ambiguity in those late rounds where
[10:31] Speaker 1: I'm probably gonna just get tight end. So maybe I'm
[10:33] Speaker 1: gonna lean running back wide receiver instead in round two
[10:36] Speaker 1: and not go after one of these guys and then
[10:39] Speaker 1: maybe get some some some exposure to those guys later
[10:42] Speaker 1: on in the year. Has that been a thought process
[10:44] Speaker 1: or has it just been like, no, I think Bowers
[10:46] Speaker 1: are gonna smash I'm gonna draft Rock Bowers.
[10:49] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think this This question kind of goes to,
[10:51] Speaker 3: like with best Ball, you're there's sort of the are
[10:55] Speaker 3: you evaluating like what has worked in the past versus
[10:58] Speaker 3: trying to be forward looking and what will work given
[11:02] Speaker 3: a brand new set of ADPs that apply to this
[11:06] Speaker 3: specific player pool that we're only going to get one
[11:09] Speaker 3: shot at this offseason. And this is where we have
[11:12] Speaker 3: a tool leg up called the Sidekick that has it's
[11:15] Speaker 3: a SYM driven player recommendation tool, and we're able to
[11:18] Speaker 3: evaluate things like what is available now versus what it
[11:20] Speaker 3: is available later by sending out the NFL season and
[11:23] Speaker 3: then also the contests that you're in. And what we're seeing,
[11:26] Speaker 3: honestly is that like Bowers, the fact that these tight
[11:29] Speaker 3: ends are available later does not mean that you need
[11:32] Speaker 3: to avoid Bowers. And in fact, when you have Bowers,
[11:36] Speaker 3: you do not need to limit yourself to two tight ends.
[11:39] Speaker 3: Like if you get to the final rounds and it's
[11:41] Speaker 3: like there aren't any good players left, but there's some
[11:46] Speaker 3: tight ends who could hit your lineup. You should probably
[11:48] Speaker 3: take those tight ends, and it might be the case
[11:52] Speaker 3: that you have extra roster spots as well, if you
[11:55] Speaker 3: went with a build that's like four or five total
[11:58] Speaker 3: running backs, where you've got some running backs, I don't
[12:01] Speaker 3: think you necessarily need eleven wide receivers, even on full
[12:05] Speaker 3: PPR in twenty rounds. On DraftKings like you can have
[12:08] Speaker 3: nine wide receivers. You can have you know, three, maybe
[12:12] Speaker 3: even four tight ends, depending on where your tight end
[12:14] Speaker 3: two came with a brock Bowers or Trey McBride or
[12:18] Speaker 3: a call some level or Tyler Warren or whatever like
[12:20] Speaker 3: you can you can still build in some depth at
[12:22] Speaker 3: that position if the opportunity cost that the other positions
[12:25] Speaker 3: is pretty low, and if you have I think particularly
[12:28] Speaker 3: if you have running back covered with kind of a
[12:31] Speaker 3: hyper fragile.
[12:32] Speaker 2: Build, sure where you've got at least a couple early
[12:35] Speaker 2: kind of hammers Leam Murphy.
[12:38] Speaker 1: What's one of the biggest differences that you see year
[12:41] Speaker 1: over year. Do you think that it's the same that
[12:43] Speaker 1: we're seeing year over year. Are there are there major
[12:44] Speaker 1: differences or do you think it's mostly what we saw
[12:46] Speaker 1: last year?
[12:47] Speaker 5: No, it's major differences, and I think that's a fun
[12:51] Speaker 5: puzzle piece, right. Like for the past couple of years,
[12:54] Speaker 5: I would say the market has mostly remained the same,
[12:58] Speaker 5: and it's not really clear to me exactly why we're
[13:00] Speaker 5: seeing these wide market changes, but the market is very different,
[13:05] Speaker 5: specifically at running back and quarterback. I would say running
[13:11] Speaker 5: back since BBM two, so that's twenty twenty one. Since
[13:16] Speaker 5: twenty twenty one, twenty twenty, we have not seen running
[13:20] Speaker 5: backs this expensive in drafts, and with quarterback like used
[13:26] Speaker 5: to be able to get like CJ. Stroud or the
[13:30] Speaker 5: other rookie guys who went literally second in the draft,
[13:33] Speaker 5: they would be like eighteenth round draft picks, right Or
[13:36] Speaker 5: you think of Matt Stafford last year and he was
[13:42] Speaker 5: whatever like a fifteenth round pick, especially after the back stuff,
[13:47] Speaker 5: or Daniel Jones was like a seventeenth round pick. Even
[13:50] Speaker 5: the stinkers of the quarterbacks like Geno Rogers Mendoza, I'm
[13:56] Speaker 5: looking at a high stakes draft I did yesterday on DraftKings,
[14:00] Speaker 5: but gone by the fourteenth round. So the true stinkers
[14:02] Speaker 5: are like job security guys, the Atlanta quarterbacks, the Browns quarterbacks.
[14:09] Speaker 5: Like it's it's way different there, and then of course
[14:11] Speaker 5: at running back, we got about five running backs maybe
[14:16] Speaker 5: six consistently going in the first round. We have not
[14:19] Speaker 5: seen that forever. And even like the dead zone guys
[14:24] Speaker 5: of yesteryear, that's probably like the fifth round to the
[14:31] Speaker 5: tenth round, where like, some of these guys are gonna
[14:33] Speaker 5: be big hits, and I like some of them. So
[14:35] Speaker 5: I'm talking to anyone from like Swift scatter Bow down
[14:39] Speaker 5: to Dobbin's White or whatever something like something, whatever range
[14:45] Speaker 5: you want to say, They're some of the gonna be
[14:46] Speaker 5: big hits. Some of them are gonna be silent killers.
[14:49] Speaker 5: Maybe Chuba like some of these guys I'm softer on,
[14:51] Speaker 5: but that's what I'm seeing.
[14:53] Speaker 2: What about you?
[14:54] Speaker 6: You know?
[14:54] Speaker 1: I agree? I think the big thing that kind of
[14:57] Speaker 1: a continuation, like a trend, you know, like like it
[15:00] Speaker 1: was happening a little bit last year and now it's
[15:02] Speaker 1: just continued. As the quarterback thing that you mentioned, where
[15:05] Speaker 1: I guess my question back to you about the quarterback
[15:09] Speaker 1: stuff is that you now are seeing those lower end
[15:12] Speaker 1: QB twos, mid range QB two is being pushed up right,
[15:15] Speaker 1: They're being drafted earlier. Is that making you want to
[15:20] Speaker 1: get the elite quarterbacks more because obviously if you can't
[15:25] Speaker 1: get the value as late, that would mean getting the
[15:28] Speaker 1: value early is a little bit easier to swallow, you know,
[15:32] Speaker 1: just given the cost of that. And then on top
[15:34] Speaker 1: of that, I talked to Pat Kauran last week, who
[15:38] Speaker 1: was very much fading Josh Allen given the cost. And
[15:41] Speaker 1: so this plays into that, right where if some of
[15:44] Speaker 1: these quarterbacks are going a little bit earlier and you're
[15:46] Speaker 1: not able to get a guy in around eighteen that
[15:48] Speaker 1: you were reliably were able to get two or three
[15:50] Speaker 1: years ago, does that make you lean into the Josh
[15:53] Speaker 1: Allen thing more.
[15:54] Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw that question on the sheet, and I
[15:56] Speaker 5: think it should be brought up now. So I'm happy
[15:58] Speaker 5: you did that. You know, like the Sensus thought process
[16:01] Speaker 5: is you have to get three quarterbacks. You need three
[16:04] Speaker 5: quarterbacks in every draft, and you need it by X
[16:08] Speaker 5: round or whatever. And I think that is so misguided
[16:11] Speaker 5: and just reacting to last year and relax and lacks
[16:14] Speaker 5: all contexts. Where again, the reason why three quarterback hit
[16:18] Speaker 5: is because you could literally get Matt Stafford, Daniel Jones,
[16:22] Speaker 5: Like these were the cheap bets you could get. Okay,
[16:25] Speaker 5: these these are the guys you could get the undrafts
[16:27] Speaker 5: Jackson Dart, guys who were legit top five quarterback options
[16:31] Speaker 5: in Fantasy for weeks at a time. And now the
[16:34] Speaker 5: late round options are Gino Smith, Aaron Rodgers, Tua Mendoza, Brissette. Like,
[16:39] Speaker 5: ask yourself, are these guys going to hit in the
[16:42] Speaker 5: way that Stafford did? Are they gonna hit in the
[16:45] Speaker 5: way that Daniel Jones did? And like to me, the
[16:48] Speaker 5: answer is obviously no. Maybe you could say, like if
[16:51] Speaker 5: anyone is, it's gonna be Mendoza because he was a
[16:53] Speaker 5: high draft pick. So sure, like that's a that's a
[16:56] Speaker 5: mystery box that I'm willing to do. So I'm I
[16:59] Speaker 5: don't feel compelled to do three quarterback in every draft,
[17:02] Speaker 5: like I'm comfortable to get to by the like Baker
[17:07] Speaker 5: Mayfield line depending so I'll go as thin as like
[17:11] Speaker 5: Goffin Baker or you know, Kyler Murray and bow Nicks.
[17:17] Speaker 5: What some combo of this not saying I won't take
[17:21] Speaker 5: a third quarterback, but I'm not so stringent where it's
[17:24] Speaker 5: like I need my third quarterback. I need my third quarterback.
[17:26] Speaker 5: And then yeah, of course, like I think it's very
[17:28] Speaker 5: shortsighted to view Josh Allen and be like he's a fade,
[17:32] Speaker 5: Like I think it's pretty easily level one thinking where
[17:35] Speaker 5: you look at Josh Allen, he goes in the third,
[17:38] Speaker 5: and I'll admit, there's no real rhyme or reason why
[17:40] Speaker 5: he should have such a gap on Lamar, Joe Burrow,
[17:45] Speaker 5: maybe some of these Drake May's, Jayden Daniels, Dack, Caleb William,
[17:49] Speaker 5: guys who go in the fifth through sixth. But what
[17:52] Speaker 5: you should be thinking through is like what's the cost
[17:56] Speaker 5: of the stack. So if we look at Josh Allen
[17:59] Speaker 5: and like, let's just pick Drake May. Okay, so AJ
[18:03] Speaker 5: Brown and Drake May, you got to burn a second
[18:06] Speaker 5: round pick to get AJ Brown, Where Josh Allen and
[18:10] Speaker 5: DJ Moore or Josh Allen, Dalton Kinkaid whatever, Like, you're
[18:14] Speaker 5: not spent. You're getting a second round player instead of
[18:17] Speaker 5: AJ Brown. So I don't really think it's that expensive
[18:21] Speaker 5: of a price to spend on Josh Allen, And honestly
[18:23] Speaker 5: just doesn't even really matter like where it's like, look,
[18:27] Speaker 5: if you want a full faded player, that's a variance question.
[18:30] Speaker 5: That's a risk tolerance question. To me, I think it's
[18:33] Speaker 5: obviously no I'm out at Josh Allen at his second
[18:36] Speaker 5: round cost like that to me is just a little ridiculous.
[18:40] Speaker 5: But I was doing a five five five yesterday. He
[18:42] Speaker 5: felt to me to the back of the third. Sometimes
[18:44] Speaker 5: he goes to the fourth. I think it's a no
[18:47] Speaker 5: brainer to mix them in there, especially because you should
[18:49] Speaker 5: be asking yourself like can this be a guy you
[18:52] Speaker 5: need to win the contest? And the answer is so
[18:54] Speaker 5: obviously yes. Where he gets the Dolphins, like can Josh
[18:58] Speaker 5: Allen drop forty against the Dolphins?
[19:00] Speaker 2: Yes?
[19:00] Speaker 5: Is that pretty realistic?
[19:02] Speaker 4: Yes?
[19:02] Speaker 5: Right, So to me, I'm not fading him. And then
[19:05] Speaker 5: to your point, when I get Josh Allen, yeah, I
[19:08] Speaker 5: can just take Josh Allen, Malik Willis, Josh Allen, Tyler
[19:11] Speaker 5: shuck Josh.
[19:12] Speaker 1: Allen, CJ.
[19:13] Speaker 5: Stroud, and I don't need to fool around in this
[19:16] Speaker 5: like round seven to eleven range where a lot of
[19:19] Speaker 5: people are going three quarterback?
[19:21] Speaker 1: What do you think your portfolio will end up as
[19:23] Speaker 1: when you look at two versus three quarterback builds? Like
[19:26] Speaker 1: how just so people listening would like have an idea
[19:29] Speaker 1: of where your head's at with sort of the you know,
[19:31] Speaker 1: the proportion of the two.
[19:33] Speaker 2: I generally lean to QB.
[19:35] Speaker 5: It's worse for advance rate, but it's like I don't
[19:41] Speaker 5: care about advance rate as much as other people, Like
[19:44] Speaker 5: I'm okay rolling up in December and people making fun
[19:47] Speaker 5: of me and being like he only advanced twenty three teams,
[19:51] Speaker 5: like that's not I'm not playing for looking good fifteen.
[19:56] Speaker 5: I'm playing what I think is optimal to win the contest.
[20:00] Speaker 5: And so yeah, I will do three quarterback when it
[20:02] Speaker 5: makes sense, like say I have a Cardinal Tait and
[20:04] Speaker 5: I already have Dart and Love and cam Ward's there, Yeah,
[20:08] Speaker 5: I'll mix it. I'll take him, but I'm not going
[20:10] Speaker 5: to pass him if I think there's a literal difference
[20:12] Speaker 5: maker at the position, like I'm looking to go three
[20:15] Speaker 5: quarterback more when it's like I have Malik Willis Tyler shuck, Yes,
[20:20] Speaker 5: I really want a third on that because it's all
[20:22] Speaker 5: like kind of mystery box y. I personally like the
[20:25] Speaker 5: Malik Willis bet, but it is uncertain, so I lean
[20:30] Speaker 5: more two QB. But and I don't know Zach like
[20:34] Speaker 5: I don't. I'm also not in such a nerd with
[20:36] Speaker 5: it where I'm like I have eighteen three, like I'm
[20:40] Speaker 5: just drafting East Draft, And that's what why best Ball
[20:43] Speaker 5: is great. It's like you draft, you're done, Let's find
[20:45] Speaker 5: out who wins at the end of the year. Like
[20:47] Speaker 5: I'm not using a caddy. I'm not going through like
[20:51] Speaker 5: I know roughly who I'm taking and who I'm not.
[20:53] Speaker 1: When you refer to the playoff weeks, right and you
[20:55] Speaker 1: refer to the two quarterback build versus three quarterback, is
[20:58] Speaker 1: that something that you are saying, I have outs at
[21:03] Speaker 1: wide receiver, running back in a stack that other people
[21:06] Speaker 1: might not because they spent that on a quarter that
[21:09] Speaker 1: pick on a quarterback instead of boosting up or bolstering
[21:12] Speaker 1: that or just another running back and wide receiver that
[21:14] Speaker 1: could potentially hit. Or is it a larger roster construction
[21:18] Speaker 1: thing also where you know that in you know, if
[21:21] Speaker 1: the meta right now is three quarterback and you know
[21:24] Speaker 1: that a lot of these teams are three quarterback, you
[21:25] Speaker 1: just have an inherent edge because there's there's just a
[21:28] Speaker 1: different roster construction that you're using once you get to
[21:31] Speaker 1: the playoffs.
[21:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I guess it does boil down to
[21:34] Speaker 5: my core philosophy. Is hitting a difference maker at a
[21:37] Speaker 5: skill position is more important than having a third quarterback
[21:42] Speaker 5: got and so like, yeah, look, does it suck when
[21:44] Speaker 5: one of your quarterback gets hurt or both get hurt
[21:46] Speaker 5: and you got a dead team? Sure, but you think
[21:49] Speaker 5: of the guys who make you win this contest, having
[21:53] Speaker 5: another shot at getting or shot Penny that year, a
[21:56] Speaker 5: mon Ross, Saint Brown his rookie year. These are the
[21:59] Speaker 5: things to me that decide who wins the contest and
[22:02] Speaker 5: who doesn't. And we do see quarterbacks separate at times,
[22:06] Speaker 5: of course, and so yeah, technically you have another shot
[22:09] Speaker 5: of that if you tack on Tua. But again, like
[22:12] Speaker 5: I'm not panicked with it, Like, as long as I
[22:15] Speaker 5: have two guys, I feel reasonable. And it comes back
[22:18] Speaker 5: to me from like your home league. Like, pretend you
[22:20] Speaker 5: have a home league, you have a good team, and
[22:23] Speaker 5: your only quarterback is Jordan Love. You're not feeling like
[22:26] Speaker 5: your team is like dead each week, right, Like, yeah, okay,
[22:29] Speaker 5: you're not feeling great, but you got Jordan Love, you
[22:31] Speaker 5: got a second guy. Reasonable, right, But yeah, I do
[22:35] Speaker 5: want to have more shots at landing the difference maker,
[22:38] Speaker 5: which to me comes at running back.
[22:40] Speaker 4: At white ol.
[22:42] Speaker 1: Neil Orfield. The thing that I always struggle with is
[22:45] Speaker 1: then getting proper exposure based on what I think is
[22:49] Speaker 1: the optimal strategy to take in some of these drafts.
[22:53] Speaker 1: Like for instance, like if you think going running back
[22:55] Speaker 1: running back is like the way to go, especially if
[22:57] Speaker 1: you're in the back half of the first round or
[22:58] Speaker 1: something like that, which we'll get to it in a stead.
[23:00] Speaker 1: If you think going running back running back like that
[23:02] Speaker 1: is optimal, then sure you'll get some different iterations for
[23:06] Speaker 1: the running backs that you're taking, but maybe you never
[23:08] Speaker 1: get CD Lamb even though you probably want some exposure
[23:11] Speaker 1: to CD lamb. Is that something that you're constantly thinking
[23:13] Speaker 1: about in general? Is it something that you're thinking about
[23:16] Speaker 1: right now in June or is it something that you
[23:18] Speaker 1: worry about a little bit later in the season if
[23:20] Speaker 1: you're doing something like the MILLI where you know that
[23:23] Speaker 1: you can kind of even out exposure as the summer
[23:26] Speaker 1: goes on.
[23:27] Speaker 6: Yeah, and it's it's definitely something that I'm thinking about constantly,
[23:30] Speaker 6: but it's not something that I'm acting on as much.
[23:33] Speaker 2: Right now as it will be later on.
[23:34] Speaker 6: Like you said, like because you and I we're gonna
[23:37] Speaker 6: be drafting all summer, like we have time to even
[23:40] Speaker 6: at our exposures if we want to. But generally, I
[23:43] Speaker 6: think it's just draft to draft, just making the best
[23:45] Speaker 6: pick for that draft. I think it's generally the correct
[23:48] Speaker 6: approach because ADP is gonna shift throughout the year, and
[23:52] Speaker 6: you're gonna have different opportunities throughout the year because you know,
[23:55] Speaker 6: ADP shifts like we saw with you know, we've seen
[23:58] Speaker 6: aj Brown shift from a third round pick to a
[24:00] Speaker 6: second round pick, and so you know it's better to
[24:02] Speaker 6: get him in the third round, and you see that
[24:05] Speaker 6: throughout the summer, all these different players are going to
[24:08] Speaker 6: shift in their ADP now for you know, the opposite
[24:11] Speaker 6: example would be like I'm not really taking Melik Neighbors
[24:14] Speaker 6: right now, but I'm not worried about it because I
[24:15] Speaker 6: think Melik Neighbors is going to move backwards later in
[24:20] Speaker 6: the summer. We're going to be able to get him later.
[24:21] Speaker 6: So I think, you know, generally, it's something that's always
[24:24] Speaker 6: on my mind, what are my exposures looking at and
[24:25] Speaker 6: my comfortable with these exposures. But I also know that
[24:28] Speaker 6: ADP is going to shift over time. And also, just
[24:31] Speaker 6: like draft to draft, you can see even right now,
[24:33] Speaker 6: if I do ten drafts today, I can keep my
[24:37] Speaker 6: rankings the exact same but I'm gonna have different opportunities
[24:39] Speaker 6: draft to draft, so you know, I might always be
[24:43] Speaker 6: taking those those running backs in the later rounds. But
[24:47] Speaker 6: there's gonna come a draft where, like you say, Ceedee Lamb,
[24:50] Speaker 6: if you want to get Ceede Lamb, there's going to
[24:52] Speaker 6: come a draft where Seedy Lamb is just gonna fall
[24:54] Speaker 6: to you at the eleven pick or something, so you
[24:56] Speaker 6: can keep him ranked behind Justin Jeffson and Almana Saint
[24:59] Speaker 6: Brown and Christian mcaff whoever it is that you're taking
[25:01] Speaker 6: over him, and you're gonna have opportunities to draft him
[25:05] Speaker 6: without reaching to to take him ahead of players that
[25:07] Speaker 6: you like better. So I don't worry about it that
[25:09] Speaker 6: much right now. But yeah, once we get to August,
[25:11] Speaker 6: if I'm like, you know, I don't really see a
[25:14] Speaker 6: big separation between Cede Lamb and Alman Ross Saint Brown,
[25:18] Speaker 6: then I might start just I'll reach a little bit
[25:20] Speaker 6: and take Ceedee Lamb over Alman Ross Saint Brown. But yeah,
[25:23] Speaker 6: for now, I'm not, I'm not really you know, going
[25:26] Speaker 6: out of my way to even out my exposures that much. Now, Yeah,
[25:29] Speaker 6: I say this, I think that that is the correct
[25:31] Speaker 6: approaches to not do it that much. I do it
[25:33] Speaker 6: so like I can't help it because there are players
[25:35] Speaker 6: that I'm like, you know, I really don't feel that
[25:37] Speaker 6: differently about. Like I had this conversation with Karan last week,
[25:40] Speaker 6: Tedro macmillan and Luthor Burden, like, yeah, if I use
[25:43] Speaker 6: his product, I'm always gonna get Tedroo McMillan ahead of
[25:46] Speaker 6: Luthor Burden. I'm to me, Like, to me, it's not
[25:48] Speaker 6: that clear that I like t Maac that much better
[25:51] Speaker 6: than Luthor Burden, because I think there's pros and cons
[25:54] Speaker 6: to both. So I might sometimes reach and take you know,
[25:57] Speaker 6: a Burden over Tero Maple and you know, profiles like
[25:59] Speaker 6: that were It's like, it's not that clear to me
[26:01] Speaker 6: that this is a different tier of player. So I
[26:04] Speaker 6: do I do sometimes reach a little bit, but I
[26:05] Speaker 6: think that the correct approach is the you know, let it,
[26:09] Speaker 6: you know, work itself out over time.
[26:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, makes a lot of sense to me. So also
[26:13] Speaker 1: this year, we're definitely seeing more people. I will say
[26:16] Speaker 1: I think that part of like the running back heavy discussion,
[26:19] Speaker 1: which is why I love that you answered that first
[26:21] Speaker 1: question with quarterback and not running back, because I think
[26:24] Speaker 1: it's sort of like the default to talk about the
[26:26] Speaker 1: running back, not to say that it's right or wrong,
[26:28] Speaker 1: but I do think that it might be a little
[26:31] Speaker 1: bit overblown, like the idea that people are like going
[26:33] Speaker 1: so crazy for running backs right now and such and
[26:35] Speaker 1: like that, like it's so totally different than what we
[26:38] Speaker 1: saw last year. I would argue that last year we
[26:40] Speaker 1: still saw a decent amount of running backs going early
[26:42] Speaker 1: in these drafts, especially because the year before that running
[26:46] Speaker 1: back was actually pretty strong, and so we are seeing
[26:49] Speaker 1: some like I think that part of it is the
[26:50] Speaker 1: narrative of like some zero rb bros who are now
[26:54] Speaker 1: touting you know, going earlier around running back is making
[26:58] Speaker 1: the entire industr be like, oh man, like everyone's going
[27:02] Speaker 1: earlier around running back now, which is probably true to
[27:04] Speaker 1: a degree. But there's still some good wide receiver picks
[27:05] Speaker 1: in there, but the meta has certainly shifted. Let's just
[27:08] Speaker 1: say that, Let's say that people are more okay and
[27:10] Speaker 1: drafting multiple running backs with their first couple of picks.
[27:13] Speaker 1: So my question though, and this is one that I
[27:15] Speaker 1: asked Liam last week as well, is this a year
[27:19] Speaker 1: then to zig when everyone's zagging and go zero RB
[27:22] Speaker 1: as people are more comfortable with a robust RB approach.
[27:26] Speaker 6: I think that the correct approach is always to just
[27:29] Speaker 6: take what the draft room gives you. So no, I
[27:33] Speaker 6: don't think that it's necessarily the right year, Like I
[27:35] Speaker 6: don't think that you should be forcing zero RB this
[27:38] Speaker 6: year because we don't have the same type of late
[27:41] Speaker 6: round running backs that we used to have. So part
[27:43] Speaker 6: of the reason that you know, I was really in
[27:45] Speaker 6: on zero RB, I mean even last year when it
[27:47] Speaker 6: didn't really work out for me, was because I thought,
[27:50] Speaker 6: at least last year that there were tons of late
[27:52] Speaker 6: round running backs that had really strong profiles. It was,
[27:56] Speaker 6: you know, a really strong rookie running back draft class
[28:00] Speaker 6: could get these rookie running backs late who should have
[28:02] Speaker 6: a ton of upside, have some continued value. Now for me,
[28:05] Speaker 6: I took all the wrong ones. I was taking Richard Smith,
[28:08] Speaker 6: Darks Hunter, et cetera, et cetera.
[28:09] Speaker 2: But I know you started.
[28:10] Speaker 6: Talking about kalman Ungui late later on in the season
[28:12] Speaker 6: after not really loving him early on. Woody Marks like,
[28:15] Speaker 6: there were these running backs that you could get later on,
[28:19] Speaker 6: so it made more sense to do more zero RB
[28:22] Speaker 6: when they're were stronger running backs later. Now you have
[28:25] Speaker 6: a lot of the running backs that were that are
[28:27] Speaker 6: like young running backs that we see have a lot
[28:29] Speaker 6: of upside, you can't really get them in the later
[28:32] Speaker 6: rounds anymore.
[28:32] Speaker 2: Like even last year you could get like a Tyler Lgier.
[28:35] Speaker 6: So I love the running backs, particularly in Best Ball,
[28:38] Speaker 6: that have some standalone value, like they don't need anything
[28:41] Speaker 6: to happen, and they're going to have some double digit
[28:43] Speaker 6: scoring weeks, but then also have like awesome contingent upside.
[28:46] Speaker 6: So last year was like Tyler Lgiear, if something happened
[28:48] Speaker 6: to be Jean Robinson was going to be awesome. You
[28:51] Speaker 6: just don't really have a ton of those guys later on.
[28:54] Speaker 6: So if you and you need to score some running
[28:56] Speaker 6: back points early on, so you really can't wait too
[29:00] Speaker 6: long I think to start drafting running backs now. I
[29:02] Speaker 6: still do some zero RB ish builds where I won't
[29:05] Speaker 6: take a running back until like the seventh round, but
[29:08] Speaker 6: it's tougher because we don't have, you know, a ton
[29:11] Speaker 6: of these, and you do have some like you. I mean,
[29:13] Speaker 6: Brian Robinson might be an example this year replacing Tyler
[29:16] Speaker 6: Aldiere in Atlanta, who knows like you can you can
[29:18] Speaker 6: probably find some of those later on in drafts who
[29:20] Speaker 6: are going to have who will have those you know,
[29:22] Speaker 6: ten point weeks here and there throughout the season, even
[29:25] Speaker 6: without an injury. But they're more difficult to find because
[29:28] Speaker 6: people have gotten sharper about how to find the right
[29:32] Speaker 6: running back profile. So like the running backs who have
[29:35] Speaker 6: that you know, standalone value, Blake Quorum is now going
[29:38] Speaker 6: in the top one hundred bick, kaal Manungai going to
[29:40] Speaker 6: the top one hundred bicks. The type of running back
[29:42] Speaker 6: that you used to maybe be able to get at
[29:44] Speaker 6: like pick one forty one fifty, you can't get them
[29:47] Speaker 6: there anymore. So it is to me more difficult to
[29:50] Speaker 6: go zero RB this year than it has been in
[29:53] Speaker 6: years past. But then the you know, the tricky part
[29:56] Speaker 6: there is it does feel like, you know, we we
[29:58] Speaker 6: have a lot of kind of aging running backs, a
[30:00] Speaker 6: lot of miles on their legs at this point, who
[30:02] Speaker 6: are going in the early rounds. So it does feel
[30:05] Speaker 6: like we're probably going to find some later round running
[30:08] Speaker 6: backs who don't have a ton of standalone value but
[30:11] Speaker 6: probably do have massive continent value behind Saquon Barkley, Derrek Henry,
[30:15] Speaker 6: Jonathan Taylor, whatever, and name any of these running backs
[30:18] Speaker 6: who are veterans who have a ton of miles on them.
[30:20] Speaker 6: But to me, it's like you can you can still
[30:23] Speaker 6: go after some of those backup running backs without going
[30:27] Speaker 6: zero RB, because, like, I just think that the tough
[30:30] Speaker 6: part is you do need to get points early in
[30:32] Speaker 6: the season to advance your team. You need to get
[30:33] Speaker 6: some points from running back early on, and it's tougher
[30:36] Speaker 6: to find those running backs who are going to score
[30:38] Speaker 6: early points later in drafts this year. So I'm doing
[30:41] Speaker 6: I am doing some zero RB, but I'm not taking
[30:44] Speaker 6: it to the extreme that I've done in past years
[30:46] Speaker 6: where it's like I'm not taking a running back till
[30:47] Speaker 6: the tenth or eleventh round. Like, to me, zero RB
[30:49] Speaker 6: now is like sixth or seventh rounds when I started
[30:52] Speaker 6: taking running backs.
[30:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, agreed. Are there any middle or late round
[30:56] Speaker 1: backs that you've really gravitated towards run DK Yeah.
[31:00] Speaker 6: I mean a lot of the ones that I mentioned,
[31:03] Speaker 6: I've taken a fair amount of Blake Korum, Kamon Ung Guy.
[31:08] Speaker 6: The one that I'm really in the middle rounds that
[31:10] Speaker 6: I've gravitated toward is Jonathan Brooks. I just I can't
[31:13] Speaker 6: can't get enough Jonathan Brooks. Just I think I've just
[31:16] Speaker 6: memory wiped the past two years, and just like you know,
[31:19] Speaker 6: he was so exciting a couple of years ago coming
[31:21] Speaker 6: in and I don't know, like I'm not a doctor,
[31:24] Speaker 6: I don't know how to read the medical reports, and
[31:26] Speaker 6: I think like, depending on who you read, you're going
[31:28] Speaker 6: to get a different vantage point on like Jonathan Brooks's
[31:31] Speaker 6: outlook this year, like did he have did he actually
[31:33] Speaker 6: tear his ACL twice or was it a repair the
[31:36] Speaker 6: second time? And he's good to go now. I don't
[31:38] Speaker 6: know that stuff, but I know that there are some people,
[31:41] Speaker 6: some you know, Twitter doctors who believe Jonathan Brooks should
[31:44] Speaker 6: be good to go at this point, should be healthy.
[31:47] Speaker 2: And then we just get such.
[31:48] Speaker 6: Bullish coach speak on Jonathan Brooks that kind of leads
[31:52] Speaker 6: me to believe that, like, you don't really need an
[31:54] Speaker 6: injury ahead of him to Toobe Hubbard for Jonathan Brooks
[31:57] Speaker 6: to take over as the top running back on team
[32:00] Speaker 6: that really wants to run the ball. So so to me,
[32:03] Speaker 6: Jonathan Brooks is is kind of that mid range running
[32:05] Speaker 6: back that I've really gravitated toward.
[32:07] Speaker 2: Now he is.
[32:08] Speaker 6: He's getting a little bit more difficult as he gets
[32:10] Speaker 6: closer to the Blake Korum and common Unga because to me,
[32:13] Speaker 6: like that's kind of the tier that he belongs in now.
[32:16] Speaker 2: I do think that he.
[32:18] Speaker 6: Has a probably better odds than either of those two
[32:21] Speaker 6: to take on like the one A role without an injury,
[32:25] Speaker 6: but I think that they have probably a stronger hold
[32:29] Speaker 6: on the or you know, we're surer of their floor,
[32:32] Speaker 6: like as the one B for a guy like Kamon
[32:34] Speaker 6: Unguy Blake Orm. So to me, that's kind of the
[32:36] Speaker 6: right range for Jonathan Brooks until we hear something more
[32:40] Speaker 6: bullish and he's moving kind of in that direction, but
[32:42] Speaker 6: he has not quite gotten there yet. So I've been
[32:45] Speaker 6: drafting just a ton of Jonathan.
[32:46] Speaker 1: Brooks nez takes. What's been the most common build for
[32:50] Speaker 1: you this year over on draftings?
[32:52] Speaker 7: Yeah, right now, it's been, uh and this kind of
[32:55] Speaker 7: hurts me because I am like a contrarian by nature,
[32:57] Speaker 7: but I am doing a lot of hyperfragile the four
[32:59] Speaker 7: to five running back builds right now.
[33:02] Speaker 4: It just makes so much.
[33:03] Speaker 7: Sense in the current meta to do that, and especially
[33:06] Speaker 7: on DraftKings, a PPR website where you can really just
[33:09] Speaker 7: backfill those wide receiver spots with volume and just you know,
[33:13] Speaker 7: get lucky catch one of these guys on a game
[33:16] Speaker 7: where they catch a touchdown. It just makes so much
[33:18] Speaker 7: more sense in taking bets on those late round running
[33:21] Speaker 7: backs that really need contingency value to pay off. For
[33:25] Speaker 7: the most part, I mean, maybe some of these guys
[33:27] Speaker 7: have their own standalone role that we haven't really seen yet.
[33:29] Speaker 7: You know, there's some rookies, there's more Shaan Lloyd back there.
[33:32] Speaker 7: But really really feel more comfortable drafting the wide receivers
[33:37] Speaker 7: late and tight ends late as a post of the
[33:39] Speaker 7: running backs. But I would love for it to be
[33:41] Speaker 7: a zero RB year because everybody's convinced that it's not.
[33:45] Speaker 4: It's just pretty hard to do so right now. But
[33:48] Speaker 4: I'm still trying. I'm still trying.
[33:50] Speaker 1: That's how I feel too, Like I'm still throwing out
[33:52] Speaker 1: some zero RB teams because I don't want to miss it.
[33:55] Speaker 1: If because like realistically, I've been doing a lot of
[33:57] Speaker 1: research for my draft guide. The last two years at
[34:00] Speaker 1: running back have been sort of the most predictive years
[34:03] Speaker 1: that we've seen at the position over the last like
[34:06] Speaker 1: like fifteen years. Like it's been very very strong. Whether
[34:09] Speaker 1: that's due to injury, but I also think like the
[34:11] Speaker 1: NFL meta is playing into that a little bit with
[34:13] Speaker 1: just it being more run because it also been the most
[34:15] Speaker 1: run heavy years over that timeframe as well, which kind
[34:18] Speaker 1: of like allows for yes, like there might not be
[34:21] Speaker 1: as much target share going to running backs because it's
[34:23] Speaker 1: feeding into tight ends, but they at least are seeing
[34:25] Speaker 1: more work on the ground to kind of combat that,
[34:27] Speaker 1: whereas wide receiver they're just not and so you get
[34:30] Speaker 1: sort of like a flatness at wide receiver. And so yeah,
[34:33] Speaker 1: I mean I'm in the same boat where like it
[34:36] Speaker 1: just you feel so uncomfortable this year more than ever
[34:39] Speaker 1: going zero RB, and I think maybe the market's a
[34:42] Speaker 1: little bit sharper too. Have you have you noticed that?
[34:44] Speaker 1: Do you think that the running back market is slightly
[34:47] Speaker 1: sharper with like the player takes that we're seeing out there,
[34:50] Speaker 1: and just like you know, like a backfield where you
[34:53] Speaker 1: have like a Remandre and Travion, like two guys that
[34:55] Speaker 1: are middle round picks. It feels like a Remandre historically
[34:58] Speaker 1: might have been ahead of where Trayveon's going, but it's
[35:01] Speaker 1: just not happening this year.
[35:02] Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, I think you absolutely have to admit
[35:05] Speaker 7: that the that the field is getting sharper, you know,
[35:07] Speaker 7: as best ball goes on. You are clearly seeing adaptations
[35:11] Speaker 7: to the draft boards right now, and that the running
[35:14] Speaker 7: backs are a prime example of it. I think guys
[35:16] Speaker 7: are very appropriately priced in terms of roles that they
[35:20] Speaker 7: have or have had in recent memory, plus factoring in
[35:24] Speaker 7: how many high value touches a guy has in an
[35:27] Speaker 7: offense and baking in that uncertainty of the situation, like
[35:32] Speaker 7: very appropriately in my opinion, like that late second round
[35:35] Speaker 7: just loaded with running backs that all have like different
[35:38] Speaker 7: forms of upside in terms of touchdown equity versus their role,
[35:41] Speaker 7: especially as a pass catcher. On on draftings as well,
[35:44] Speaker 7: I think the field's gotten pretty sharp at identifying who
[35:48] Speaker 7: the strong running backs are and how to how to
[35:50] Speaker 7: value them appropriately, like across across the board.
[35:53] Speaker 1: And it feels like like do you have a I mean,
[35:56] Speaker 1: I'm sure you have like some like favorites in like
[35:58] Speaker 1: the you know, round nine into eleven to twelve, whatever
[36:02] Speaker 1: the case may be. You know, like we'll just dub
[36:04] Speaker 1: them like later ish type picks. But at the same time,
[36:07] Speaker 1: does it not feel like once those like year two
[36:10] Speaker 1: guys are off the board, especially in like round five,
[36:13] Speaker 1: you know, like the Tutons, the Travions, if you want
[36:16] Speaker 1: to throw them in there, though I've I've personally been
[36:17] Speaker 1: drafting more Remondra than Travion, But like those types of players,
[36:21] Speaker 1: it feels like there's just a big like drop in
[36:25] Speaker 1: projected product production after those guys. Do you feel that too?
[36:27] Speaker 4: One hundred percent?
[36:28] Speaker 7: Like you are you are buying points for, like you're
[36:31] Speaker 7: able to buy points at those pitches, you know, not
[36:35] Speaker 7: like I came up with that term myself, but that's
[36:37] Speaker 7: how that's how I think of it. Right when I'm
[36:38] Speaker 7: drafting running backs in that range, I know I'm going
[36:40] Speaker 7: to get some points from those running backs once you
[36:43] Speaker 7: get past and like Alvin Kamaras like shooting up draft
[36:45] Speaker 7: boards right now, which like I would agree with. It
[36:48] Speaker 7: does sound like he's gonna have a good role in
[36:50] Speaker 7: that offense, which would be great for PPR as soon.
[36:53] Speaker 4: As you get past him, like in round like fourteen on.
[36:55] Speaker 7: At that point, you're just like buying hope and the
[36:58] Speaker 7: hope that like these guys have something that happens to
[37:02] Speaker 7: their to their running mate that allows them to ascend
[37:05] Speaker 7: to RB one status. And there are some decent bets there,
[37:08] Speaker 7: some that are certainly better than others that can I
[37:10] Speaker 7: think have that, I have the confidence in them assuming
[37:12] Speaker 7: that strong RB one role if that situation takes place.
[37:15] Speaker 7: But at that point though, like, yeah, these guys are
[37:18] Speaker 7: not guaranteed to score points, and for me that that
[37:22] Speaker 7: that means something, right, I think there's definitely something to
[37:25] Speaker 7: that where you know, the probabilities are not in your
[37:27] Speaker 7: favor for those guys to hit, but we are well
[37:30] Speaker 7: aware of the upside if that does take place.
[37:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent. If we're looking at the
[37:35] Speaker 1: early rounds, do you have any guys that you've been
[37:38] Speaker 1: generally fading this year or are you sort of like
[37:41] Speaker 1: spreading out exposure Like I guess you could also talk
[37:43] Speaker 1: about how you've approached that historically, because I think a
[37:45] Speaker 1: lot of people are always curious about, like, you know,
[37:47] Speaker 1: do you want that four percent blanket for everybody you
[37:50] Speaker 1: know in the first couple of rounds because it's it's
[37:52] Speaker 1: a more comfortable way to sort of approach things.
[37:54] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[37:54] Speaker 7: No, I've always taken a pretty strong stance in the
[37:57] Speaker 7: first two rounds of drafts. Last year year just to
[38:00] Speaker 7: kind of toot my own horn, pat in my back here,
[38:02] Speaker 7: I faded Brian Thomas Junior pretty heavily. I faded Bucky
[38:05] Speaker 7: Irving pretty heavily in favor of guys like Derrick Henry
[38:08] Speaker 7: and Jonathan Taylor. Just thinking like, wow, these guys have
[38:11] Speaker 7: like really really strong profiles is running backs, and I
[38:13] Speaker 7: can I can build out teams that I think give
[38:16] Speaker 7: me better expected value than if I you know, it
[38:18] Speaker 7: took some of these other some of these other risks.
[38:20] Speaker 7: This year, I'm I'm doing the same thing. I'm taking
[38:23] Speaker 7: some some some fades here. The two fhades that that
[38:27] Speaker 7: are the strongest for me, and I think this might
[38:28] Speaker 7: come off as spicy is Jonathan Taylor and uh In
[38:32] Speaker 7: Saquon Barkley this year. These guys, to me, I think
[38:36] Speaker 7: have some some concerns, different concerns for each Quon. For me,
[38:41] Speaker 7: the concern is, is that explosiveness still there that we
[38:44] Speaker 7: saw two years ago that really just did not show
[38:46] Speaker 7: itself last year. Can we fully put that on the
[38:48] Speaker 7: on the old o C. I'm not entirely convinced, on
[38:51] Speaker 7: top of the fact that he's gonna lose a lot
[38:53] Speaker 7: of these goal line touchdowns, that that is so massive
[38:56] Speaker 7: that like him compared to Derrick Henry, Derek Henry is
[38:59] Speaker 7: getting that SAT Clan's not man, and that that to
[39:02] Speaker 7: me really really hurts the ceiling there. And the JT
[39:06] Speaker 7: Bear case for me is just are we one certain
[39:09] Speaker 7: that Daniel Jones can not only come back at full
[39:12] Speaker 7: health but do what he did last year. I've been
[39:15] Speaker 7: a Daniel Jones defender. I thought that he had some
[39:18] Speaker 7: some pretty good seasons in New York, but the truth
[39:22] Speaker 7: of the matter is that he's pretty inconsistent and if
[39:25] Speaker 7: he can't, if you can't do what he did last year,
[39:29] Speaker 7: it's a cascading effect on that offense. And it starts
[39:31] Speaker 7: with Jonathan Taylor's ability to be who he was last year,
[39:34] Speaker 7: even though he has obviously such amazing skill and can
[39:37] Speaker 7: break long runs even no matter who's at quarterback. But
[39:40] Speaker 7: Daniel it's hard to deny that Daniel Jones was a
[39:42] Speaker 7: big reason why he was so successful last year.
[39:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I agree. I mean you can even
[39:47] Speaker 1: look at the splits right after after Jones went down,
[39:49] Speaker 1: and it was right, that's I mean, everyone who had
[39:51] Speaker 1: Jonathan Taylor, they were like, oh, I got the league winner,
[39:53] Speaker 1: and then it just it just went to the crapper
[39:55] Speaker 1: because the offense just just was horrible, right, And that's
[39:59] Speaker 1: I definitely more So for me with the tailor take
[40:02] Speaker 1: that the Saquon take, I've still been taking Saquon not
[40:06] Speaker 1: I'm not overexposed, but like still drafting him. But the
[40:09] Speaker 1: the the difference too is that like there's a difference
[40:12] Speaker 1: in costs, Like even though like four or five picks
[40:15] Speaker 1: is significant because with Jonathan Taylor, I think Amena only
[40:19] Speaker 1: just started to officially go ahead of him in ADP
[40:22] Speaker 1: and to me, like Saint Brown, I'm taking him over
[40:25] Speaker 1: over Jonathan Taylor all day, just based on what his
[40:29] Speaker 1: floor ceiling combo looks like. And I mean he just
[40:31] Speaker 1: also just projects really well Amana Saint Brown does. But
[40:34] Speaker 1: the JT stuff, it's hard for me to really see
[40:38] Speaker 1: a significant gap in projection from him to the bottom
[40:41] Speaker 1: of that round two tier. With with some of those
[40:43] Speaker 1: like Dereck Henry, Let's say, right like there is there
[40:46] Speaker 1: truly truly, Yeah, j T will probably catch a few
[40:49] Speaker 1: more passes and and and be you know, more of
[40:51] Speaker 1: a plus in the in the passing game. And yes,
[40:54] Speaker 1: you know there's there's less competition for him on that team,
[40:57] Speaker 1: but like realistically we know Derek Henry is in the
[40:59] Speaker 1: better andronment like locked in better environment. You know, like
[41:02] Speaker 1: you said, you had to, you have to you have
[41:04] Speaker 1: to play into this Daniel Jones thing a little bit
[41:05] Speaker 1: to really buy into Jonathan Taylor. And so to me,
[41:08] Speaker 1: it's like that tier almost starts to begin with Jonathan Taylor,
[41:11] Speaker 1: and you just don't want to be wrapping at the
[41:13] Speaker 1: top of that tier in the end.
[41:15] Speaker 4: One hundred percent.
[41:15] Speaker 7: That's really where I'm at, is like he is sneaky
[41:18] Speaker 7: in that tier, and because there's a gap between him
[41:20] Speaker 7: and the next RB and that range, it feels like
[41:23] Speaker 7: he's not and it feels like you're supposed to take
[41:25] Speaker 7: Jonathan Taylor, but in reality, the projections are not that different,
[41:28] Speaker 7: and I think that's where stands can really come into play.
[41:31] Speaker 7: It's risky, but at the end of the day, like
[41:33] Speaker 7: if you're if you're playing DFS and you have a
[41:36] Speaker 7: guy that is more expensive but projects the same as
[41:39] Speaker 7: a guy that is cheaper in cost, you're probably gonna
[41:42] Speaker 7: take the guy that's cheaper in cost exactly. So you
[41:44] Speaker 7: can really make some outside bets, outsized bets in bestball,
[41:48] Speaker 7: using those those principles, and that that's what I like
[41:51] Speaker 7: to do. I like to take some risks and flush
[41:53] Speaker 7: things through like that.
[41:56] Speaker 1: Best Ball guy, what do you think for people who
[41:58] Speaker 1: are maybe getting into, you know, dipping their toes into
[42:02] Speaker 1: Best Ball a little bit, what do you think folks
[42:04] Speaker 1: get wrong when thinking about season long and then going
[42:07] Speaker 1: into best Ball and what are some of the pitfalls there.
[42:10] Speaker 8: Yeah, so I was imagining someone coming over from you know,
[42:16] Speaker 8: a redraft landscape into best Ball for the first time.
[42:19] Speaker 8: And one of the things that I think that people
[42:23] Speaker 8: need to realize about best Ball is you're you're playing
[42:26] Speaker 8: a massive tournament here. That is really the big difference
[42:30] Speaker 8: here is you have these tens of thousands to hundred
[42:33] Speaker 8: of thousand person contests and essentially you cannot add and
[42:38] Speaker 8: drop players, right, That's the major difference with Best Ball.
[42:42] Speaker 8: So you need to plan your teams to have not
[42:48] Speaker 8: only the fire power for the late season, which can
[42:52] Speaker 8: come sometimes from those you know, handcuff running backs, rookie
[42:56] Speaker 8: wide receivers, stuff like that, but you also need to
[42:58] Speaker 8: be careful about the fact that you can't add and
[43:01] Speaker 8: drop players. You need to also try to not take
[43:04] Speaker 8: zeros on your roster. So it's really this game of
[43:07] Speaker 8: building teams that don't have zeros but also yet have
[43:13] Speaker 8: upside baked into some of these profiles that can break
[43:16] Speaker 8: out late and give you that like late season hammer.
[43:19] Speaker 8: You really want to look down at a team in
[43:20] Speaker 8: Best Ball that advances through the regular season into week
[43:23] Speaker 8: fifteen that has like, you know, these really fun rookies
[43:27] Speaker 8: that are recently breaking out, or you do have the
[43:30] Speaker 8: you know, the Bucky Irving of twenty twenty four who
[43:33] Speaker 8: has taken over the backfield that you got in the
[43:35] Speaker 8: fifteenth round and is starting now on your roster.
[43:37] Speaker 4: That kind of thing.
[43:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I was thinking about this. I was
[43:40] Speaker 1: actually doing a live stream last week, and we always
[43:44] Speaker 1: hear the phrase better in Best Ball, right, where like
[43:47] Speaker 1: these players are better in a Best Ball environment than
[43:49] Speaker 1: they are in a season long environment. And I think
[43:52] Speaker 1: that when to your point, I think that the way
[43:55] Speaker 1: that people think about that is almost backwards because they
[43:57] Speaker 1: often think, oh, I need like of course you needs
[44:00] Speaker 1: spiked spiked ceilings and weekly ceilings and such. But I
[44:03] Speaker 1: also think that like they're not thinking about it like
[44:06] Speaker 1: like for instance, Chris Rodriguez, right, or Jordan Mason types,
[44:10] Speaker 1: like those those types of like early down grinders where
[44:13] Speaker 1: they're they're ceiling from a receiving perspective. Isn't that that crazy,
[44:16] Speaker 1: I don't really mind, like a Jordan Mason is whatever.
[44:19] Speaker 1: I mean, it's late enough that I'm not going to
[44:20] Speaker 1: really like care if someone like has like a really
[44:23] Speaker 1: hardcore stance in these guys. But realistically, like a Jordan
[44:26] Speaker 1: Mason type, I'm probably gonna like more in a best
[44:29] Speaker 1: ball environment than I am in a season long environment
[44:32] Speaker 1: because because there's going to just be some production from
[44:36] Speaker 1: those players, but we might not know when that production
[44:39] Speaker 1: is going to come. And so I think that there's
[44:41] Speaker 1: also like to your point of not taking zeros like
[44:43] Speaker 1: those players that we typically are like, oh, I don't
[44:46] Speaker 1: really care about that guy, because like even in my
[44:48] Speaker 1: draft guide every year, I'm just like, get the guys
[44:50] Speaker 1: that have ceiling. Only worry about ceiling, and that's what
[44:52] Speaker 1: you should be doing. But you actually do have to
[44:54] Speaker 1: think about the floor for these players and not just
[44:56] Speaker 1: draft you know, Nick Singleton over and over again, because
[44:59] Speaker 1: there's a chance that Singleton's zero this year, Like that's
[45:02] Speaker 1: a very the sact possibility. Not to say that he
[45:04] Speaker 1: can't be something, I still have drafted him, But you
[45:07] Speaker 1: have to check yourself a little bit and make sure
[45:08] Speaker 1: that you're not overweight on some of those players. That's
[45:11] Speaker 1: the way that you kind of see things too.
[45:13] Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, And I'm fine if you want to
[45:16] Speaker 8: be overweight on Nick Singleton, like call your shot on
[45:18] Speaker 8: these late round guys, of course. But absolutely, I think
[45:22] Speaker 8: every single year the staple of having good advance rates
[45:26] Speaker 8: are the middle round running back hits, like they could
[45:29] Speaker 8: be Jordan Mason, Chris Rodriguez this year, I mean we
[45:32] Speaker 8: saw it with like Etn.
[45:34] Speaker 4: I don't know if we want to say.
[45:35] Speaker 8: Eight Chan Junior, but yeah, you know Etn Javonte Williams.
[45:39] Speaker 8: Last year, these guys were the same exact bets, right,
[45:42] Speaker 8: kind of grinder backs on kind of ambiguous backfields. Away,
[45:46] Speaker 8: I guess those Yeah, they are ambiguous. Yeah, I would
[45:49] Speaker 8: say Twoton's an ambiguous you know player right now. So yeah,
[45:53] Speaker 8: it's like these guys can be massive advance rate pieces.
[45:57] Speaker 4: So absolutely, But.
[45:58] Speaker 8: Then the same in the same you can still mix
[46:01] Speaker 8: in a really fun upside pick like a Nick Singleton
[46:04] Speaker 8: at the end of your drafts.
[46:06] Speaker 1: Yeah, so I always try to like balance the all right,
[46:09] Speaker 1: how risky was I in some of these profiles earlier
[46:12] Speaker 1: on in terms of getting guys that might be zeros
[46:15] Speaker 1: and then you know, late like there was a draft.
[46:17] Speaker 1: I drafted Zach Sharboney, which I haven't gotten a lot
[46:19] Speaker 1: of sharbone, but it was a you know, he fell whatever.
[46:22] Speaker 1: And then I was contemplating. I was in chat and
[46:23] Speaker 1: actually EMO was watching, so shout out toxic Tower, but
[46:27] Speaker 1: Emos was watching the stream and it was the twentieth
[46:30] Speaker 1: round and I'm sitting there and I'm like, should I
[46:32] Speaker 1: go running back or wide receiver? And Emo is like,
[46:34] Speaker 1: you should go running and he made a great point.
[46:36] Speaker 1: He's like, you like cause I let the chat kind
[46:38] Speaker 1: of vote which direction I go in, and he's like,
[46:40] Speaker 1: you gotta get running back because we can't assume that Sharboney,
[46:43] Speaker 1: you know, is healthy. You know, he could be a
[46:45] Speaker 1: zero realistically. And so I ended up going running back
[46:48] Speaker 1: in that case, just to get a little bit more beef,
[46:51] Speaker 1: you know, at the position after potentially taking some of
[46:53] Speaker 1: those zeros. All right, with that being With all that
[46:56] Speaker 1: being said, what's one of the more overlooked thoughts or
[46:59] Speaker 1: strategies you think that more people should be aware of
[47:03] Speaker 1: with best ball?
[47:04] Speaker 8: Yeah, so this one, I wanted to relate it to
[47:08] Speaker 8: my DK Milliemaker Finals team last year. And I'm just
[47:12] Speaker 8: gonna say it's unique pairings. I think last year in
[47:16] Speaker 8: this sometimes the unique pairings come in two ways. Sometimes
[47:19] Speaker 8: it's a forced unique pairing where I go gent at
[47:24] Speaker 8: the turn, but I pull up Nico Collins or something
[47:26] Speaker 8: like something where the ADPs don't line up whatsoever, or
[47:30] Speaker 8: if you're in a spot. And this actually happened to
[47:32] Speaker 8: me in a draft last night. But last year I
[47:34] Speaker 8: was able to go aman raw and then Puka fell
[47:37] Speaker 8: back to me. I don't remember if this was during
[47:39] Speaker 8: the Matt Stafford back problem kind of thing, but the
[47:42] Speaker 8: Amanra Puka combo last year accelerated that entire team into
[47:47] Speaker 8: the finals.
[47:47] Speaker 4: So I think having that.
[47:50] Speaker 8: Unique pairing can be a big lever to pull once
[47:53] Speaker 8: you get to the finals. So this is kind of
[47:57] Speaker 8: a there's two ways to think about this, right, can
[48:00] Speaker 8: either force the unique pairing, or if you're in the
[48:03] Speaker 8: middle rounds, like if you get picked six through nine
[48:06] Speaker 8: kind of you can almost go off of the top
[48:09] Speaker 8: of adp. And last night I was doing a Milli
[48:12] Speaker 8: maker and I got Amanra at nine and or ten,
[48:17] Speaker 8: and then Lamb fell all the way back to me,
[48:19] Speaker 8: and in my head, I was like, that is the
[48:21] Speaker 8: exact almost the exact same feeling is how it felt
[48:24] Speaker 8: when Puka fell back to me with Amanra on that
[48:26] Speaker 8: team that got me there. So I would say that
[48:30] Speaker 8: or one other thing would be winning the flex, and
[48:34] Speaker 8: I think this month might be more actionable.
[48:37] Speaker 4: But I think I think people take quarterback.
[48:39] Speaker 8: And tight end too early, to be honest with you,
[48:41] Speaker 8: And I think grabbing the strongest possible wide receiver running
[48:46] Speaker 8: backs oftentimes make the strongest teams winning the flex. Those
[48:51] Speaker 8: those those two positions up at the top of the board,
[48:56] Speaker 8: those guys have the best chance of breaking out. Whereas
[48:59] Speaker 8: you can find later round quarterbacks, later round tight ends
[49:04] Speaker 8: that can be the big hits for the season.
[49:06] Speaker 1: So when you talk about unique combos and specifically with
[49:09] Speaker 1: the Millie, is that something that you're doing immediately now
[49:12] Speaker 1: or are you waiting maybe until like August to make
[49:15] Speaker 1: sure that ADP's settled a little bit.
[49:17] Speaker 8: I'm waiting till August. Great question. Yeah, definitely waiting till August.
[49:21] Speaker 8: We know news can move stuff around. I would say
[49:25] Speaker 8: maybe you know, if you're running, if you're doing all
[49:28] Speaker 8: one hundred and fifty, you know you get that itch
[49:31] Speaker 8: during the summer, you know it mix it up a
[49:34] Speaker 8: little bit because you don't think Nico Collins is going
[49:36] Speaker 8: to move anywhere or whatever. But as we know, guys
[49:40] Speaker 8: get in legal trouble, they get injured. You know, there's
[49:43] Speaker 8: not really too many reasons why guys rise all that much,
[49:46] Speaker 8: but they can definitely fall.
[49:49] Speaker 4: So I do like to wait till August.
[49:50] Speaker 8: I think doing the majority of my expensive drafts, I
[49:53] Speaker 8: like to do them in August in general.
[49:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, do you find another thing that I and
[49:58] Speaker 1: this is completely like it's kind of related. But if
[50:02] Speaker 1: you get that like Amanras CD lambs start okay and
[50:05] Speaker 1: you're like, you're like, oh, this is sick, like this
[50:07] Speaker 1: this could go really really well, and like let's say
[50:09] Speaker 1: round three falls into place too, do you find yourself
[50:13] Speaker 1: and this is a completely subjective, opinionated thing, like I
[50:15] Speaker 1: don't think there's a real answer. Maybe you feel like
[50:17] Speaker 1: there is a real answer, but do you feel like
[50:19] Speaker 1: when you get a start like that, you then force
[50:22] Speaker 1: the issue and just get your favorite plays from then
[50:24] Speaker 1: on out because you really want that lineup to like
[50:28] Speaker 1: like you're like, all right, I already hit the jackpot
[50:30] Speaker 1: early on with these first three rounds. I'm just gonna
[50:33] Speaker 1: get the dudes that I think are gonna hit cause
[50:35] Speaker 1: obviously we have our favorites, right, I'm just gonna get
[50:37] Speaker 1: the dudes that I think are gonna hit. Therefore, this
[50:40] Speaker 1: could just be the lineup that I'm gonna sort of
[50:43] Speaker 1: like hold on to and say, this could be the
[50:45] Speaker 1: one that brings it home this year.
[50:47] Speaker 4: Definitely.
[50:48] Speaker 8: I mean I think more through a like a structure standpoint.
[50:53] Speaker 8: So I'm like, Okay, I have almanro cd Lamb, I
[50:57] Speaker 8: have the wide receiver one and two on the season, like,
[51:00] Speaker 8: think about it like that. So then then I start
[51:02] Speaker 8: building my draft backwards. In my head, it's like this
[51:06] Speaker 8: team obviously is gonna need running back points. Let's it's like,
[51:08] Speaker 8: let's just make sure this team advances because you up,
[51:12] Speaker 8: because people don't have almanro Lamb in the finals. They
[51:16] Speaker 8: like that that combo is so rare and unique. Like
[51:18] Speaker 8: I said, it's such a big lever that I'm pulling that,
[51:22] Speaker 8: And you know, maybe it is different on DraftKings. Maybe
[51:24] Speaker 8: that is common. Sorry if it's not, I've only done
[51:26] Speaker 8: fifteen DK million makers.
[51:27] Speaker 1: But no, no, look it's not. It's not a very
[51:29] Speaker 1: super super common thing. I mean, like Lamb will fall
[51:32] Speaker 1: at times just because people on DK will be pretty wild.
[51:36] Speaker 1: Uh you know, it's okay once to turn, but it's
[51:38] Speaker 1: not I would not call it a common start.
[51:40] Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, well I would just say, once you get it,
[51:43] Speaker 8: just make sure you can advance it from there. So
[51:45] Speaker 8: back to let's make sure we get running back points.
[51:47] Speaker 8: I think in the third I went with maybe ETN
[51:53] Speaker 8: or something, just trying to get some starting running back
[51:55] Speaker 8: points like that. Yeah, like ETN scat a bow in
[51:58] Speaker 8: the fourth whatever. But yeah, that's all I'm thinking through.
[52:01] Speaker 8: I'm also thinking like it would be super ideal to
[52:03] Speaker 8: get Dak or Golf on this team, maybe even both,
[52:07] Speaker 8: like just fully commit to those two offenses. But that's
[52:10] Speaker 8: really all I'm thinking is, let's let's get this team
[52:13] Speaker 8: to the two week fifteen where no one has this
[52:16] Speaker 8: combo and I'm gonna have it.
[52:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, let's not screw it up. And I think
[52:20] Speaker 1: like it's it's also just like let's make sure we
[52:22] Speaker 1: don't get screwed at quarterback, right and like just like
[52:25] Speaker 1: reach a little bit just to make sure that when
[52:27] Speaker 1: that quarterback run inevitably happens, that we don't screw ourselves over,
[52:31] Speaker 1: which is my gosh, just a side rant I had
[52:34] Speaker 1: Puoka and DeVante last night, and someone took naked Stafford
[52:39] Speaker 1: way above ADP and it's the most tilting thing on
[52:41] Speaker 1: the planet.
[52:42] Speaker 4: It is, It absolutely is.
[52:44] Speaker 8: And to speak to your point, someone took Dak one
[52:47] Speaker 8: pick before me with no with no cowboy, just on
[52:51] Speaker 8: that team in the seventh round.
[52:52] Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, although the great Adam Adam Levitan
[52:56] Speaker 1: has noted that. As tilting as those instances are, it's
[53:00] Speaker 1: great that we're drafting with people that do that because
[53:02] Speaker 1: that means that that rooms aren't a sharp right, So
[53:04] Speaker 1: it's yeah, when you think about that, it stings, it sucks,
[53:08] Speaker 1: but then you know, you fall back on that idea
[53:10] Speaker 1: and you're like, all right, I'll take it over the
[53:12] Speaker 1: long run.
[53:13] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's my earlier point.
[53:15] Speaker 8: It's also like it opened up this ability to be like,
[53:17] Speaker 8: all right, it's still the seventh round, Like, let me
[53:20] Speaker 8: take another usable running back here. I can get Jalen Warren,
[53:23] Speaker 8: who might be this year's Kenneth Gainwell on this thin instead,
[53:26] Speaker 8: So let's go that route.
