[0:01] Speaker 1: Rich. They did it.
[0:03] Speaker 2: The New York Knicks are the champions of the basketball world.
[0:08] Speaker 1: How are you feeling?
[0:08] Speaker 3: Man?
[0:09] Speaker 4: I have cried so many times since Saturday. Whatever the
[0:13] Speaker 4: opposite of doom scrolling is is what I've constantly been
[0:17] Speaker 4: doing on my phone, soaking in every video, every celebration,
[0:24] Speaker 4: every time I see Kat hug Patrick ewing.
[0:27] Speaker 5: I'm starting to like get for clemps now.
[0:29] Speaker 4: But just an incredible feeling that I'm sharing with many
[0:33] Speaker 4: people of my age, especially Mets, Jets Knicks fans, who
[0:39] Speaker 4: to this point in our lives had never experienced a championship.
[0:44] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[0:45] Speaker 2: I just got to say, as someone who's experienced five
[0:48] Speaker 2: championships and his adult life from his city's teams, welcome
[0:52] Speaker 2: to just being.
[0:52] Speaker 1: A normal fan and having a normal team.
[0:55] Speaker 3: I'm JJ and over the last couple of years, I've
[0:57] Speaker 3: been doing everything I can to be a best ball
[1:00] Speaker 3: and last season things finally fell into place.
[1:03] Speaker 1: I got fortieth in the DraftKings.
[1:05] Speaker 3: MILLI Contest, taking home twenty thousand dollars. Maybe I became
[1:09] Speaker 3: a best ball bro, But I'm still looking to learn
[1:11] Speaker 3: more about this game, and I still want others to
[1:14] Speaker 3: come on this ride with me.
[1:16] Speaker 1: So even if you consider me a best ball bro,
[1:18] Speaker 1: this could be your year.

[2:16] Speaker 1: The crown is yours.
[2:20] Speaker 2: Welcome into another episode of Becoming a Best ball Bro.
[2:24] Speaker 2: I'm JJ Zachareson, joined as always by my New York
[2:28] Speaker 2: Knicks loving rich Ryan Rich.
[2:31] Speaker 1: How's it going, buddy. I mean, I'm sure you're on
[2:32] Speaker 1: top of the world right now.
[2:33] Speaker 4: Absolutely. I was just in Vegas. I was in Vegas
[2:36] Speaker 4: four games, four and five. I don't think I dragged
[2:39] Speaker 4: a meaningful pot playing poker that entire time. But you
[2:42] Speaker 4: could not wipe the smile off my face regardless because
[2:46] Speaker 4: the New York Knicks are NBA champions.
[2:49] Speaker 1: Were you out there when the Canes won the Stanley
[2:51] Speaker 1: Cup too?
[2:52] Speaker 4: I had just gotten back that It's so funny. Vegas
[2:55] Speaker 4: has really turned into a hockey town. Makes sense with
[2:58] Speaker 4: all the success that they've had. And yeah, I did
[3:02] Speaker 4: not see anyone wearing night s gear or anything because
[3:07] Speaker 4: Carolina had just taken a stranglehold on that series. So
[3:11] Speaker 4: they're like there was no hockey viobs whatsoever in the city.
[3:14] Speaker 4: But yeah, I had a crazy run for them with
[3:16] Speaker 4: towards taking over right before the playoffs.
[3:18] Speaker 5: And then then somehow finally getting to the Cup finally.
[3:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, people people really don't realize. Number One,
[3:23] Speaker 2: people don't realize that the Hurricanes don't play in Charlotte.
[3:26] Speaker 2: A lot of people think that for like that live
[3:28] Speaker 2: outside North Carolina, they play in Raleigh, and it's it's
[3:31] Speaker 2: Raleigh's only professional team, right because Charlotte has the Hornets
[3:34] Speaker 2: and the Panthers and then Raleigh has the Hurricanes. And
[3:38] Speaker 2: because I you know, I have fam like my immediate
[3:40] Speaker 2: family all lives in Raleigh now and so I'm there
[3:42] Speaker 2: all the time, and I you know, I live in Charlotte,
[3:44] Speaker 2: and I don't think like the the the atmosphere for
[3:47] Speaker 2: the Canes is insane because it's right next like this,
[3:50] Speaker 2: the the arena is right next to NC States Football
[3:53] Speaker 2: Stadium and so you know, any any big football stadium
[3:56] Speaker 2: in big, big program football stadium.
[3:58] Speaker 1: Usually especially in because it's an.
[4:00] Speaker 2: Agricultural school, like there's farm farmland and stuff around, you know,
[4:04] Speaker 2: it is it is downtown Raleigh, like the school is,
[4:06] Speaker 2: but there's a lot of land there where people can
[4:09] Speaker 2: tailgate and stuff, right, and so Carolina Hurricanes games are
[4:14] Speaker 2: in this giant area where there's just so much tailgating
[4:17] Speaker 2: going on and so and it's their only professional team,
[4:20] Speaker 2: so it's a very very like popular like well you know,
[4:25] Speaker 2: uh backed NHL franchise the Hurricanes are. And I'm I'm
[4:28] Speaker 2: I'm glad and at least I'm hopeful that people were able.
[4:31] Speaker 1: To see that.
[4:32] Speaker 2: You know, I'm a Penguins fan through and through, but
[4:34] Speaker 2: just being in you know, I live, I've been lived
[4:36] Speaker 2: in North Carolina for twelve years now, and so like
[4:38] Speaker 2: the Canes are kind of like my you know, if
[4:40] Speaker 2: the Penguins don't do it, then it's I'm happy to
[4:42] Speaker 2: see the Canes do it. Jordan Stall when in con
[4:45] Speaker 2: smyth is an amazing story and he started, you know
[4:47] Speaker 2: with the pens and stuff. And I know that we're
[4:49] Speaker 2: talking hockey here and there's a football show, but I
[4:50] Speaker 2: gotta gotta shout out, you know, give a little bit
[4:52] Speaker 2: of love to those Canes fans out there because they
[4:55] Speaker 2: showed up, they showed out, happy for Rod, Brenda Moore,
[4:58] Speaker 2: just a cool story overall.
[5:00] Speaker 4: Sports man, the ultimate unifying force. Then we're going right
[5:03] Speaker 4: into the World Cup now, where little Cape Verde, a
[5:07] Speaker 4: small island off of West Africa, draws with Spain yesterday,
[5:11] Speaker 4: creating memories that the people from that country and the
[5:13] Speaker 4: players on that team will literally never forget.
[5:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's cool.
[5:17] Speaker 2: I mean, like I just think, not only that, but
[5:19] Speaker 2: you're getting all these people coming in from other countries
[5:21] Speaker 2: right now, and some of the most viral videos on
[5:23] Speaker 2: social media are these people from like Europe and just
[5:25] Speaker 2: random countries you know, outside of the United States that
[5:27] Speaker 2: are like, Wow, the people in the US are actually
[5:30] Speaker 2: kind of nice, and the food here is really cool,
[5:32] Speaker 2: and like the different dynamics of each state is just
[5:34] Speaker 2: super cool. How there's like a completely different world in
[5:37] Speaker 2: Arizona compared to Pennsylvania and stuff. And I don't know,
[5:40] Speaker 2: it's to me it's important to lead with this kind
[5:43] Speaker 2: of thing, you know, before we get to the more
[5:44] Speaker 2: meaningless stuff of best ball and whatnot, because I do
[5:48] Speaker 2: think that this is what sports are all about, is
[5:50] Speaker 2: bringing people together that wouldn't be brought together otherwise and
[5:52] Speaker 2: really having better perspective on what's going on around you
[5:56] Speaker 2: and what this world is really about.
[5:58] Speaker 4: Yeah, touch grass, have a beer with your neighbor and
[6:00] Speaker 4: watch a game. Life's gonna be so much better, I promise.
[6:03] Speaker 2: And maybe maybe maybe draft some best ball teams, maybe
[6:06] Speaker 2: maybe maybe click some names. We're gonna so today we're
[6:10] Speaker 2: gonna just go through some adp risers and followers. We
[6:13] Speaker 2: do have a guest that you guys will listen to
[6:14] Speaker 2: after we do this. But Rich kick things off, let's
[6:17] Speaker 2: talk about some some risers this week.
[6:20] Speaker 5: Once again.
[6:21] Speaker 4: The top two names repeats from last week, Greg greg
[6:25] Speaker 4: Ultic and ad Mitchell. They're the biggest risers, almost up
[6:28] Speaker 4: a full round and then up more than half around
[6:32] Speaker 4: our Zacharia Branch, a guy I besmirched last week in
[6:36] Speaker 4: George Hallane and yeah, shod White. So I'll about half
[6:40] Speaker 4: dozen there. I'll let you give your take on some
[6:43] Speaker 4: of these show.
[6:43] Speaker 2: How do you feel about the ad Mitchell rise, Like,
[6:46] Speaker 2: do you think that it's justified? And do you think
[6:48] Speaker 2: you know, we talked about this a little bit last
[6:49] Speaker 2: week in the way that this wide receiver room could
[6:52] Speaker 2: be deployed, in the way that Omar Cooper kind of
[6:55] Speaker 2: fits within that room. And my stance has been even
[6:57] Speaker 2: since Omar Cooper was drafted that that I think d
[7:00] Speaker 2: Mitchell still fits like a true X role best in
[7:02] Speaker 2: that offense. Is that what Jets Twitter and the Jets
[7:05] Speaker 2: world is saying as well.
[7:06] Speaker 4: For sure, the deployment of Omar Cooper seems to be
[7:11] Speaker 4: a giant question mark. And it's funny because we're seeing
[7:13] Speaker 4: the same thing on the other side of the ball
[7:15] Speaker 4: with Ponds, where because of his stature, everyone thinks he's
[7:18] Speaker 4: going to play inside corner, flat corner, but there's a chance.
[7:22] Speaker 5: That he plays outside as well.
[7:23] Speaker 4: So all eyes are on where Omar Cooper is going
[7:26] Speaker 4: to line up as the summer progresses and into preseason.
[7:30] Speaker 4: But for now, the way he's built, the speed that
[7:33] Speaker 4: he has, his ability to get downfield and create separation.
[7:37] Speaker 4: It's going to be eighties. Mitchell's job to lose, at
[7:39] Speaker 4: least on the outside. And I think overall, one of
[7:42] Speaker 4: the things that people are having a hard time perhaps
[7:45] Speaker 4: grasping about the Jets is that when you look at
[7:48] Speaker 4: this fifteen year playoff drought and you look at their
[7:51] Speaker 4: offensive output in terms of literally any major statistic, whether
[7:55] Speaker 4: it be EPA or DVOA, they've been so bad the
[8:00] Speaker 4: quarterback position from a learning Sam Donalds to Zach Wilson
[8:05] Speaker 4: to whatever the hell last year was when they were
[8:08] Speaker 4: tanking with a UFL quarterback under center. Most teams that
[8:13] Speaker 4: are bad, You've done this study many times over, there's
[8:17] Speaker 4: going to be some sort of regression when you are
[8:19] Speaker 4: so below the mean output, and the Jets have just
[8:23] Speaker 4: never been able to get there, right, because they've never
[8:25] Speaker 4: had even a bad quarterback playing. They've just had awful,
[8:29] Speaker 4: horri like, unimaginable quarterback.
[8:33] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[8:33] Speaker 4: So if do you just be run of the mill bad, right,
[8:36] Speaker 4: just a bad quarterback, the offensive output for this team
[8:40] Speaker 4: is going to far exceed people's expectations.
[8:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's true, you know, I still have a hard
[8:46] Speaker 2: time with Garrett Wilson, I will say, and clicking his name,
[8:50] Speaker 2: just because there's so many good wide receivers in that
[8:52] Speaker 2: area that I'm not gonna I don't, I don't. There's
[8:55] Speaker 2: only gonna be a couple in that range, and I'm
[8:57] Speaker 2: gonna be like truly overweight on and then that just
[8:59] Speaker 2: means it, I'll be a bit underweged on some others,
[9:01] Speaker 2: you know. But situationally, you know, I think Art Wilson's
[9:04] Speaker 2: a phenomenal player. It's just that like, at some point
[9:07] Speaker 2: we have to just be realistic about from what he's
[9:09] Speaker 2: done from a production standpoint, like a true production standpoint,
[9:12] Speaker 2: And I don't want to just keep projecting, projecting, projecting
[9:15] Speaker 2: every year and then it not happened, right, And if
[9:17] Speaker 2: I'm wrong, I'm wrong, that's you know, that's fine. I
[9:20] Speaker 2: just think if there weren't so many good wide receivers
[9:23] Speaker 2: going around him, it would be a different story, you know.
[9:24] Speaker 2: It'd be a lot easier to be like, yeah, I'll
[9:26] Speaker 2: bet on the talent, because I think he's really talented.
[9:28] Speaker 2: Adie Mitchell, though, I think is a great because none
[9:30] Speaker 2: of that Mitchell is really conducive to a Best Ball situation.
[9:33] Speaker 2: I talked about this on the Late Round show. I
[9:35] Speaker 2: recorded it just before this one. But it's similar like
[9:38] Speaker 2: like Brian Thomas, where there's like stories and you know
[9:41] Speaker 2: things are but he's actually like a player that you
[9:44] Speaker 2: like the Jags in general, I think the wide receivers
[9:46] Speaker 2: in general, where I want to get my exposure in
[9:48] Speaker 2: Best Ball right, But then also we know he's a
[9:51] Speaker 2: down the field, big play threat on the outside.
[9:53] Speaker 1: And that's how I view.
[9:55] Speaker 2: Adie Mitchell in a much worse situation, and like, I
[9:57] Speaker 2: don't think that he has the same ceiling, but Adie
[10:00] Speaker 2: Mitchell's been like like, look, I was one of his
[10:02] Speaker 2: biggest haters when he was drafted because people were so
[10:05] Speaker 2: obsessed with this dude, and I'm like, his production is
[10:08] Speaker 2: his age adjusted production college is not that good.
[10:12] Speaker 1: But I will say that Mitchell is out.
[10:14] Speaker 2: He's actually been better than what I expected now that
[10:17] Speaker 2: he's played in the NFL.
[10:18] Speaker 1: Per route run, he's been good in the NFL.
[10:21] Speaker 2: And so that's the kind of dart throw I want
[10:23] Speaker 2: to I want to make when I'm when I'm drafting
[10:24] Speaker 2: these Best Ball lineups.
[10:25] Speaker 4: And it's funny too because and I don't know how much.
[10:29] Speaker 4: I don't think you'd do this at all. But his
[10:32] Speaker 4: teammates score coming in obviously purely college based, like Xavier
[10:36] Speaker 4: Worthy really hasn't lived up to expectation either. So whatever
[10:40] Speaker 4: strength was going into that teammate score at Texas kind
[10:43] Speaker 4: of gets dinged a little bit too, because Avier Worthy
[10:46] Speaker 4: hasn't been that guy either in the league. I'll tell
[10:49] Speaker 4: you from a fans perspective, Jets fans are are really
[10:52] Speaker 4: excited about Adie Mitchell. I've got my I'm pumping the
[10:56] Speaker 4: brakes a little bit because when a good team is
[11:00] Speaker 4: okay and a smart team is okay, kind of just
[11:03] Speaker 4: like getting rid of an asset like that. My red
[11:05] Speaker 4: flag is always up in the culture, very well run organization.
[11:08] Speaker 4: But I mean as a throw in, as a guy
[11:10] Speaker 4: that in an awful wide receiver room right where we
[11:13] Speaker 4: back to back years of Malakai Corley and Arian Smith,
[11:18] Speaker 4: like he was definitely a sight for sore eyes.
[11:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean like but like like both of those guys,
[11:24] Speaker 2: I remember going on your Jets show last year and
[11:26] Speaker 2: being like, Arian Smith is one of the worst wide
[11:27] Speaker 2: receiver picks I've ever seen in my life, right, like,
[11:30] Speaker 2: like legitimately and Malachi Corley to me, was one of
[11:32] Speaker 2: the worst wide receiver picks that I've ever seen.
[11:34] Speaker 1: Like it's like, at least there's some substance. Adie Mitchell.
[11:37] Speaker 2: So I do like the the Ady Mitchell rising, and
[11:40] Speaker 2: I mean, I don't like it for my portfolio, but
[11:41] Speaker 2: I like that the market is being pretty smart about it.
[11:44] Speaker 2: Greg Dolcich we talked. We've talked about him really good
[11:46] Speaker 2: last season per rout run numbers. Zachariah Branch I can
[11:50] Speaker 2: get behind, just because I don't think there's some obvious
[11:52] Speaker 2: picks late and he's got an opportunity ahead of him.
[11:55] Speaker 2: George Hallani is interesting, you know. I think that he
[12:01] Speaker 2: can play a third down role, which is gonna be
[12:03] Speaker 2: beneficial on a site like DK. But they've been talking
[12:06] Speaker 2: about him splitting like you know, first team reps and
[12:09] Speaker 2: such with with UH with Genarian Price, and I don't.
[12:13] Speaker 2: I just don't think that George Laani is that kind
[12:15] Speaker 2: of player. I remember prospecting him too. I just didn't
[12:18] Speaker 2: didn't see him in that way necessarily. I think Emmanuel
[12:21] Speaker 2: Wilson fits that role a little bit better, but they're
[12:24] Speaker 2: not seemingly using Wilson in that manner. So we just
[12:27] Speaker 2: have to kind of roll with what's.
[12:28] Speaker 1: Going on, uh, you know, with the deployment and what
[12:31] Speaker 1: we think might like how they might use these guys. Uh.
[12:35] Speaker 2: Rashad White, I think is a reaction to Jacory Krossky merit,
[12:39] Speaker 2: you know, and stuff going on there, and and also
[12:42] Speaker 2: some some positive coach speak with Rashad White, uh and
[12:45] Speaker 2: him being just like a reliable pass catcher.
[12:48] Speaker 1: I think White is like a very easy click, especially
[12:52] Speaker 1: if you go zero RB, like just a very easy
[12:55] Speaker 1: don't know if he's gonna be a league winner, but
[12:56] Speaker 1: I do think that that in a full on a
[12:58] Speaker 1: full PPR platform, he could he could do some work
[13:00] Speaker 1: and do some damage.
[13:01] Speaker 4: Yeah, And in Washington offense that personally, I'm I'm investing
[13:05] Speaker 4: in because.
[13:06] Speaker 1: I love Terry McLaurin.
[13:07] Speaker 4: Yeah, and I just believe in what I saw from
[13:11] Speaker 4: Jayden Daniels in year one. I'm like the throw against Cincinnati,
[13:15] Speaker 4: just the way he played in the playoffs. I'm a
[13:17] Speaker 4: believer in him, and thus I'm just a believer in
[13:20] Speaker 4: this offense as a whole.
[13:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, agreed, all right, who else we got right?
[13:24] Speaker 4: If we slide down a little, Probably the most impactful
[13:26] Speaker 4: move because it's a single ditch round is Toot bay
[13:31] Speaker 4: Shall tooting up seven spots going now at pick fifty five,
[13:36] Speaker 4: People are starting to catch on that maybe sen Bayhall
[13:40] Speaker 4: is the click here.
[13:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we talked about this on the Late
[13:44] Speaker 2: Round show just a couple of minutes ago. But you
[13:46] Speaker 2: know in your podcast feed it's gonna be on Thursday,
[13:48] Speaker 2: and this is coming out on Wednesday.
[13:49] Speaker 1: But with there were the reports this week about JK.
[13:53] Speaker 2: Dobbins being like almost like getting a contract with Jacksonville,
[13:56] Speaker 2: maybe signing with Jacksonville, and that he was their priority
[13:59] Speaker 2: like off season look at running back, and everyone's like, oh,
[14:03] Speaker 2: this is bad for base Shall Tuton.
[14:04] Speaker 1: In my response is like, no, this is bad for
[14:05] Speaker 1: Chris Rodriguez.
[14:06] Speaker 2: Because if the narrative with Chris Rodriguez is that they
[14:10] Speaker 2: were getting him because he's Liam Cohen's guy, is he
[14:12] Speaker 2: is he Liam Cohen's guy, If they were looking at JK.
[14:14] Speaker 2: Dobbins instead of Chris Rodriguez, you know, if anything, it
[14:18] Speaker 2: makes me feel more bullish about bay Shall Tuton. You know,
[14:21] Speaker 2: you can still get him at like the five six
[14:23] Speaker 2: turn and a lot of drafts like pretty frequently. You know,
[14:27] Speaker 2: obviously his ADP's up more to like the fifty six range,
[14:29] Speaker 2: like mid fifth round. I think you can draft him
[14:31] Speaker 2: as early as the beginning at the four or five
[14:33] Speaker 2: turn like that. I think that's where that's where his
[14:37] Speaker 2: like break even would be generally speaking. It's just that
[14:40] Speaker 2: I think in that area you're you're often looking still
[14:42] Speaker 2: at some wide receivers and stuff, which is fine, like
[14:45] Speaker 2: Jalen Waddle I love, But yeah, I mean I think
[14:47] Speaker 2: Tuton deserves to be going there. There's a lot of
[14:49] Speaker 2: upside for him. He's apparently been been crushing it so far,
[14:54] Speaker 2: you know, in these in these camps and stuff, and
[14:56] Speaker 2: so I am you know, as I've been saying, all
[14:59] Speaker 2: roads lead to base, shall Tuoton?
[15:02] Speaker 4: The only other single digit mover in a positive direction
[15:05] Speaker 4: in terms of rounds is Quintin Johnson up five point
[15:08] Speaker 4: six spots to eighty sixth in the eighth round, and
[15:12] Speaker 4: just the continuing drum beat of positivity around this Chargers offense.
[15:17] Speaker 5: Are you.
[15:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of stuff about them using Johnston
[15:21] Speaker 2: for his yak, which is really important because that's really
[15:23] Speaker 2: what he does best.
[15:24] Speaker 1: And so yeah, I mean I want to be a
[15:27] Speaker 1: little bit more overweight than.
[15:28] Speaker 2: I've been on QJ for sure, because I think that
[15:30] Speaker 2: he could be you know, everyone's like really high on lad,
[15:33] Speaker 2: but there's some stuff where you know there's there's a
[15:35] Speaker 2: chance he gets steamed up too high through the summer.
[15:39] Speaker 2: And then I've been drafting a lot of Trey Harris.
[15:41] Speaker 2: I've mentioned that, but that's more so just like he's
[15:43] Speaker 2: super cheap and it's a good offense, and he could
[15:45] Speaker 2: rotate in at times. But Qj's kind of in that
[15:48] Speaker 2: middle ground where you're like, should I be getting him
[15:50] Speaker 2: right now?
[15:50] Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, there's good quarterbacks here.
[15:52] Speaker 2: I need to force the issue a little bit more
[15:54] Speaker 2: because I do see an outcome where Quentin Johnson has
[15:56] Speaker 2: actually a pretty good season.
[15:57] Speaker 5: All right, we'll go to some followers.
[15:59] Speaker 4: He talked about coach speak having a positive impact on
[16:02] Speaker 4: a player. Two players who have had a hit because
[16:05] Speaker 4: of the other side of the coin are Emmanuel Wilson
[16:08] Speaker 4: and Eli Stowers. Wilson specifically running with the threes right
[16:11] Speaker 4: now in Seattle.
[16:13] Speaker 5: I saw one Yahoo headline.
[16:14] Speaker 4: Was like, do the Seahawks already regrets signing Emmanuel Wilson?
[16:19] Speaker 5: He's got do you.
[16:20] Speaker 1: Regret signing Emmanuel Wilson, like it's the most like inconsequential
[16:23] Speaker 1: thing of all time.
[16:23] Speaker 7: Two million dollars. What are we gonna do? We get
[16:26] Speaker 7: two million? To Emmanuel Wilson, he's down thirteen and a
[16:29] Speaker 7: half picks. And then Eli Stowers, who a Philadelphia b writer,
[16:33] Speaker 7: was saying he's had a very quiet spring. There was
[16:35] Speaker 7: one practice where he was running as the tight end
[16:37] Speaker 7: one and in this writer's estimation, didn't really do anything.
[16:41] Speaker 7: So some cold water on Wilson and Eli Stowers the latter.
[16:45] Speaker 7: I'm not worried about Stour. I'm not worried about a
[16:47] Speaker 7: rookie tight end in shorts in June.
[16:50] Speaker 5: But that's just me.
[16:51] Speaker 1: I'm not super worried about it. I mean, D'antavian Wicks
[16:53] Speaker 1: on the flip.
[16:53] Speaker 2: Side, was a riser on that list, and I think that, like,
[16:57] Speaker 2: I'm actually a little bit more concerned because of cost
[17:01] Speaker 2: of Makaya Lemon right now. When I was drafting Lemon
[17:04] Speaker 2: like fairly confidently, and then I started doing some research
[17:08] Speaker 2: in the draft guide, like for the draft guide, and
[17:10] Speaker 2: then like there's you know, the Dantavian Wis reports coming
[17:14] Speaker 2: out about him, you know, being their wide receiver too.
[17:17] Speaker 2: At least right now. Look, this is not an indictment
[17:19] Speaker 2: on the way that I view Mackay Lemon. I still
[17:21] Speaker 2: think Lemon's a good prospect, and I think that the
[17:23] Speaker 2: long term outlook looks pretty good. I just think that
[17:26] Speaker 2: he might end up being more of a late season
[17:29] Speaker 2: hammer as opposed to a full season hammer, and in
[17:32] Speaker 2: that range where he goes, you probably need a little
[17:35] Speaker 2: bit more of that full season points and output from
[17:38] Speaker 2: that player. So I've been backing up a little bit
[17:40] Speaker 2: on Makaya Lemon recently, and I just want to throw
[17:43] Speaker 2: that out there. Kind of plays into this whole Philadelphia think.
[17:45] Speaker 2: I agree though with with Stours. It's like, I don't know,
[17:48] Speaker 2: I think that you're just kind of hoping for like
[17:50] Speaker 2: like given his cost, you are hoping that he gets
[17:53] Speaker 2: late season production and that you know, maybe there's some
[17:56] Speaker 2: injuries and things just fall into place at the right
[17:58] Speaker 2: time for a guy like Stours. But he's still a
[18:01] Speaker 2: this is still a rookie tight end. There's there's a
[18:03] Speaker 2: there's more of a long term outlook for these kind
[18:05] Speaker 2: of player, especially Dallas Goddard.
[18:06] Speaker 4: Still there another tight end who is falling, this one
[18:10] Speaker 4: due to an absence. It looks like during off season activities.
[18:14] Speaker 4: Is Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannon. This is the
[18:17] Speaker 4: only single digit guy that made our list in the
[18:20] Speaker 4: eighth round.
[18:20] Speaker 5: Currently.
[18:21] Speaker 4: He dropped half around Fannin any amazing rookie season last year.
[18:27] Speaker 4: But the market cooling on Fannin.
[18:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, this is probably the only other call out that
[18:32] Speaker 2: we need on the followers list this week. And it's
[18:34] Speaker 2: you know, it's sad because I love Harold Fannin and
[18:37] Speaker 2: his mom is great, and it's you know, we we
[18:39] Speaker 2: uh hopefully we get to see Harold Fannon's mom again
[18:42] Speaker 2: at the Fantasy Football Expo this year.
[18:44] Speaker 5: But I love that there's people that have no idea.
[18:47] Speaker 1: There's people have no idea about this.
[18:48] Speaker 2: The lore the Harold Fannon's mom law the TLDR is
[18:53] Speaker 2: that that Kitchen and I met Harold Fannon's mom last
[18:56] Speaker 2: year at the Fantasy Football Expo and we got to
[18:59] Speaker 2: talk to her for about fifteen minutes, and I talked
[19:01] Speaker 2: about him being a duck footed prospect and the way
[19:03] Speaker 2: that he ran and stuff.
[19:04] Speaker 1: Knows fun, It was a lot of fun.
[19:06] Speaker 2: The fan in thing scares me because I was actually
[19:08] Speaker 2: more out on him even without this. I'm worried about
[19:11] Speaker 2: Fan and with all of the because he was like, like,
[19:14] Speaker 2: I think he's a very very good player, but he
[19:17] Speaker 2: did rely on volume to some degree last year because
[19:20] Speaker 2: his target shore was absurd down the stretch last season
[19:22] Speaker 2: when when David Njoko went down, and then they add
[19:24] Speaker 2: Casey Concepcio and they add Denzel Boston. You know, they
[19:28] Speaker 2: have a whole new offense that I do think is
[19:30] Speaker 2: helpful for tight ends with Todd Monkin, but we don't
[19:33] Speaker 2: know exactly how it's going to be deployed. And so
[19:35] Speaker 2: when I look at a player like Sam Laporta who
[19:38] Speaker 2: has a very stable environment and work, we're drafting in
[19:42] Speaker 2: June and we kind of need the stability a little
[19:44] Speaker 2: bit more, you know, with our single digit round picks,
[19:47] Speaker 2: I'd be more inclined to go that direction than than
[19:49] Speaker 2: Harold Fan in which I think he officially has flipped
[19:52] Speaker 2: Harold Fan and ADP. But regardless, I wasn't really that
[19:56] Speaker 2: in on Fan in to begin with, despite loving him
[19:59] Speaker 2: long term. And this is just another reason why I'm
[20:02] Speaker 2: not gonna.
[20:03] Speaker 4: Be in when I've gotten the first pick. There is
[20:07] Speaker 4: just it seems like on a platter that Detroit Chicago stack,
[20:13] Speaker 4: of which I've been sliding Laporte in there in there
[20:17] Speaker 4: quite a bit, so I'm right there with you.
[20:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Well, we do have a guest for
[20:23] Speaker 2: today's show. It's one that I've had on each year,
[20:26] Speaker 2: one that I've got to know through Best Ball and
[20:28] Speaker 2: through doing this show, and you know I've hopped on
[20:30] Speaker 2: stream with him in the past.
[20:32] Speaker 1: But it's Liam Murphy.
[20:33] Speaker 2: He's another big, big Best Ball winner as we had
[20:37] Speaker 2: last week with Pat Corane. He's from Beatbeestball dot Com.
[20:40] Speaker 2: He also has his YouTube channel at Chess Liam. He's
[20:43] Speaker 2: a he's a chess instructor, like a chess teacher, so
[20:46] Speaker 2: he knows what he's doing.
[20:48] Speaker 1: With that game as well.
[20:49] Speaker 2: But I talked to Liam about the current meta why
[20:52] Speaker 2: I think this is the most interesting part with Liam.
[20:54] Speaker 2: Why he likes two quarterback builds more than most people,
[20:59] Speaker 2: So you guys will get some insight into that, which
[21:00] Speaker 2: I thought was interesting, his tight end approach so much
[21:03] Speaker 2: more was a great conversation. So, without further ado, here
[21:05] Speaker 2: is my chat with Liam Murphy. All right, Liam, So,
[21:23] Speaker 2: as you look at the Best Ball landscape right now,
[21:26] Speaker 2: specifically over on DraftKings, what's one of the biggest differences
[21:29] Speaker 2: that you see year over year. Do you think that
[21:31] Speaker 2: it's the same that we're seeing year over year? Are
[21:33] Speaker 2: are there major differences or do you think it's mostly
[21:35] Speaker 2: what we saw last year.
[21:37] Speaker 6: No, it's major differences, And I think that's a fun
[21:40] Speaker 6: puzzle piece. Right. For the past couple of years, I
[21:43] Speaker 6: would say the market has mostly remained the same. And
[21:47] Speaker 6: it's not really clear to me exactly why we're seeing
[21:50] Speaker 6: these wide market changes, but the market is very different,
[21:54] Speaker 6: specifically at running back and quarterback. I would say running
[22:00] Speaker 6: back since BBM two, so that's twenty twenty one. Since
[22:06] Speaker 6: twenty twenty one, twenty twenty, we have not seen running
[22:09] Speaker 6: backs of this expensive in drafts. And with quarterback like
[22:15] Speaker 6: used to be able to get like CJ. Stroud or
[22:19] Speaker 6: the other rookie guys who went literally second in the draft,
[22:22] Speaker 6: they would be like eighteenth round draft picks, right. Or
[22:25] Speaker 6: you think of Matt Stafford last year and he was
[22:32] Speaker 6: whatever like a fifteenth round pick, especially after the back stuff,
[22:36] Speaker 6: or Daniel Jones was like a seventeenth round pick. Even
[22:39] Speaker 6: the stinkers of the quarterbacks like Geno Rogers Mendoza. I'm
[22:45] Speaker 6: looking at a high stakes draft I did yesterday on DraftKings.
[22:49] Speaker 6: They're gone by the fourteenth round. So the true stinkers
[22:52] Speaker 6: are like job security guys, the Atlanta quarterbacks, the Browns quarterbacks,
[22:58] Speaker 6: like it's way different there. And then of course at
[23:01] Speaker 6: running back, we got about five running backs maybe six
[23:06] Speaker 6: consistently going in the first round. We have not seen
[23:08] Speaker 6: that forever, and even like the dead zone guys of yesteryear,
[23:16] Speaker 6: that's probably like the fifth round to the tenth round,
[23:21] Speaker 6: where like, some of these guys are gonna be big hits,
[23:23] Speaker 6: and I like some of them. So I'm talking to
[23:25] Speaker 6: anyone from like Swift scatter Bow down to Dobbin's White
[23:32] Speaker 6: or whatever, something like something whatever range you want to
[23:34] Speaker 6: say there, some of them gonna be a big hits.
[23:36] Speaker 6: Some of them are gonna be silent killers. Maybe Chuba
[23:39] Speaker 6: like some of these guys I'm softer on.
[23:41] Speaker 1: But that's what I'm seeing. What about you?
[23:43] Speaker 6: You know?
[23:44] Speaker 1: I agree?
[23:44] Speaker 2: I think the big thing that kind of a continuation
[23:47] Speaker 2: like a trend, you know, like like it was happening
[23:50] Speaker 2: a little bit last year and now it's just continued
[23:52] Speaker 2: as the quarterback thing that you mentioned, where I guess
[23:54] Speaker 2: my question back to you about the quarterback stuff, is
[23:58] Speaker 2: that you now are seeing those lower end QB twos,
[24:02] Speaker 2: mid range QB two is being pushed up, right, They're
[24:06] Speaker 2: being drafted earlier. Is that making you want to get
[24:10] Speaker 2: the elite quarterbacks more? Because obviously if you can't get
[24:14] Speaker 2: the value as late, that would mean getting the value
[24:17] Speaker 2: early is a little bit easier to swallow, you know,
[24:21] Speaker 2: just given the cost of that. And then on top
[24:24] Speaker 2: of that, I talked to Pat Koran last week, who
[24:27] Speaker 2: was very much fading Josh Allen given the cost. And
[24:30] Speaker 2: so this plays into that, right where if some of
[24:33] Speaker 2: these quarterbacks are going a little bit earlier and you're
[24:35] Speaker 2: not able to get a guy in around eighteen that
[24:37] Speaker 2: you were reliably were able to get two or three
[24:40] Speaker 2: years ago, does that make you lean into the Josh
[24:43] Speaker 2: Allen thing more?
[24:44] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[24:44] Speaker 6: I saw that question on the sheet and I think
[24:46] Speaker 6: it should be brought up now. So I'm happy you
[24:47] Speaker 6: did that. You know, like the consensus thought process is
[24:51] Speaker 6: you have to get three quarterbacks, you need three quarterbacks
[24:54] Speaker 6: in every draft, and you need it by X round
[24:57] Speaker 6: or whatever. And I think that is so misguided and
[25:01] Speaker 6: just reacting to last year and relax and lacks all
[25:04] Speaker 6: contexts where again, the reason why three quarterback hit is
[25:08] Speaker 6: because you could literally get Matt Stafford, Daniel Jones, Like
[25:12] Speaker 6: these were the cheap bets you could get. Okay, these
[25:14] Speaker 6: these are the guys you could get the undrafts Jackson Dart,
[25:17] Speaker 6: guys who were legit top five quarterback options in Fantasy
[25:21] Speaker 6: for weeks at a time. And now the late round
[25:24] Speaker 6: options are Gino Smith, Aaron Rodgers, Tua Mendoza, Brissette. Like,
[25:29] Speaker 6: ask yourself, are these guys going to hit in the
[25:32] Speaker 6: way that Stafford did? Are they gonna hit in the
[25:34] Speaker 6: way that Daniel Jones did? And like to me, the
[25:37] Speaker 6: answer is obviously no. Maybe you could say, like if
[25:41] Speaker 6: anyone is, it's gonna be Mendoza because he was a
[25:43] Speaker 6: high draft pick. So sure, like that's a that's a
[25:45] Speaker 6: mystery box that I'm willing to do. So I'm I
[25:49] Speaker 6: don't feel compelled to do three quarterback in every draft,
[25:52] Speaker 6: like I'm comfortable to get to by the like Baker
[25:57] Speaker 6: Mayfield line depending so I'll go a thin is like
[26:00] Speaker 6: Goffin Baker or you know, Kyler Murray and bow Nicks.
[26:06] Speaker 6: What some combo of this not saying I won't take
[26:10] Speaker 6: a third quarterback, but I'm not so stringent where it's
[26:13] Speaker 6: like I need my third quarterback, I need my third quarterback,
[26:16] Speaker 6: and then yeah, of course, Like I think it's very
[26:18] Speaker 6: shortsighted to view Josh Allen and be like he's a fade.
[26:21] Speaker 6: Like I think it's pretty easily level one thinking where
[26:25] Speaker 6: you look at Josh Allen, he goes in the third,
[26:27] Speaker 6: and I'll admit, there's no real rhyme or reason why
[26:30] Speaker 6: he should have such a gap on Lamar, Joe Burrow,
[26:34] Speaker 6: maybe some of these Drake May's, Jayden Daniels, Dak Cale
[26:38] Speaker 6: William guys who go in the fifth through sixth. But
[26:42] Speaker 6: what you should be thinking through is like what's the
[26:45] Speaker 6: cost of the stack. So if we look at Josh
[26:47] Speaker 6: Allen and like, let's just pick Drake May, Okay, so
[26:52] Speaker 6: AJ Brown and Drake May, you got to burn a
[26:55] Speaker 6: second round pick to get AJ Brown, where Josh Allen
[26:58] Speaker 6: and DJ or or Josh Allen, Dalton Kinkaid whatever, Like,
[27:03] Speaker 6: you're not spent, You're getting a second round player instead
[27:06] Speaker 6: of AJ Brown. So I don't really think it's that
[27:09] Speaker 6: expensive of a price to spend on Josh Allen, And
[27:12] Speaker 6: it honestly just doesn't even really matter where like where.
[27:15] Speaker 6: It's like, look, if you want a full faded player,
[27:18] Speaker 6: that's a variance question. That's a risk tolerance question. To me,
[27:22] Speaker 6: I think it's obviously no. I'm out at Josh Allen
[27:25] Speaker 6: at a second round cost like that to me is
[27:27] Speaker 6: just a little ridiculous. But I was doing a five
[27:30] Speaker 6: five five yesterday. He felt to me to the back
[27:32] Speaker 6: of the third. Sometimes he goes to the fourth. I
[27:35] Speaker 6: think it's a no brainer to mix them in there,
[27:38] Speaker 6: especially because you should be asking yourself like can this
[27:40] Speaker 6: be a guy you need to win the contest? And
[27:43] Speaker 6: the answer is so obviously yes. Where he gets the Dolphins,
[27:46] Speaker 6: Like can Josh Allen drop forty against the Dolphins?
[27:49] Speaker 1: Yes?
[27:49] Speaker 6: Is that pretty realistic?
[27:51] Speaker 1: Yes?
[27:52] Speaker 6: Right, So to me, I'm not fading him. And then
[27:54] Speaker 6: to your point, when I get Josh Allen, Yeah, I
[27:57] Speaker 6: can just take Josh Allen, Maleiku Willis, Josh Tyler, shuck
[28:01] Speaker 6: Josh Allen, CJ. Stroud, and I don't need to fool
[28:05] Speaker 6: around in this like round seven to eleven range where
[28:08] Speaker 6: a lot of people are going three quarterback?
[28:10] Speaker 1: What do you think your portfolio will end up as
[28:13] Speaker 1: when you look at two versus three quarterback builds like
[28:15] Speaker 1: how just so people listening would like have an idea
[28:18] Speaker 1: of where your head's at with sort of the you know,
[28:20] Speaker 1: the the proportion of the two. I generally lean to QB.
[28:24] Speaker 6: It's worse for advance rate, but it's like I don't
[28:30] Speaker 6: care about advance rate as much as other people, Like
[28:33] Speaker 6: I'm okay rolling up in December and people making fun
[28:37] Speaker 6: of me and being like he only advanced twenty three
[28:40] Speaker 6: teams like that's not I'm not playing for looking good,
[28:44] Speaker 6: yeah fifteen. I'm playing what I think is optimal to
[28:48] Speaker 6: win the contest. And so yeah, I will do three
[28:50] Speaker 6: quarterback when it makes sense, like say I have a
[28:52] Speaker 6: Cardinal Tait and I already have Dart and Love and
[28:56] Speaker 6: cam Ward's there.
[28:57] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll mix it.
[28:58] Speaker 6: I'll take him, but I'm not gonna pay ask him
[29:00] Speaker 6: if I think there's a literal difference maker at the position,
[29:03] Speaker 6: like I'm looking to go three quarterback more when it's
[29:06] Speaker 6: like I have Malik Willis Tyler shuck, Yes, I really
[29:10] Speaker 6: want a third on that because it's all like kind
[29:12] Speaker 6: of mystery box y. I personally like the Malik Willis bet,
[29:16] Speaker 6: but it is uncertain. So I lean more two QB.
[29:21] Speaker 6: But and I don't know Zach like I don't. I'm
[29:24] Speaker 6: also not in such a nerd with it where I'm like,
[29:26] Speaker 6: I have eighteen like I'm just drafting East draft. And
[29:31] Speaker 6: that's what why best Ball is great. It's like you draft,
[29:33] Speaker 6: you're done, let's find out who wins at the end
[29:36] Speaker 6: of the year. Like I'm not using the caddy. I'm
[29:39] Speaker 6: not going through like I know roughly who I'm taking
[29:41] Speaker 6: in who I'm not.
[29:42] Speaker 2: When you refer to the playoff weeks right and you
[29:44] Speaker 2: refer to the two quarterback build versus three quarterback, is
[29:47] Speaker 2: that something that you are saying, I have outs at
[29:52] Speaker 2: wide receiver, running back in a stack that other people
[29:55] Speaker 2: might not because they spent that on a quarter that
[29:58] Speaker 2: that pick on a quarterback instead of boot sting up
[30:00] Speaker 2: or bolstering that or just another running back and wide
[30:03] Speaker 2: receiver that could potentially hit or is it a larger
[30:06] Speaker 2: roster construction thing also where you know that in you know,
[30:11] Speaker 2: if the meta right now is three quarterback and you
[30:13] Speaker 2: know that a lot of these teams are three quarterback,
[30:15] Speaker 2: you just have an inherent edge because there's just a
[30:17] Speaker 2: different roster construction that you're using once you get to
[30:21] Speaker 2: the playoffs.
[30:22] Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I guess it does boil down to
[30:24] Speaker 6: my core philosophy is hitting a difference maker at a
[30:27] Speaker 6: skill position is more important than having a third quarterback
[30:31] Speaker 6: got And so yeah, look, does it suck when one
[30:33] Speaker 6: of your quarterback gets hurt or both get hurt and
[30:36] Speaker 6: you got a dead team. Sure, but you think of
[30:39] Speaker 6: the guys who make you win this contest, having another
[30:42] Speaker 6: shot at getting or shot Penny that year, a mon Ross,
[30:46] Speaker 6: Saint Brown his rookie year. These are the things to
[30:49] Speaker 6: me that decide who wins the contest and who doesn't.
[30:53] Speaker 6: And we do see quarterbacks separate at times, of course,
[30:56] Speaker 6: And so yeah, technically you have another shot of that
[30:58] Speaker 6: if you tack on Tua. But again, like I'm not
[31:02] Speaker 6: panicked with it, Like, as long as I have two guys,
[31:05] Speaker 6: I feel reasonable. And I it comes back to me
[31:08] Speaker 6: from like your home league. Like, pretend you have a
[31:10] Speaker 6: home league, you have a good team, and your only
[31:12] Speaker 6: quarterback is Jordan Love. You're not feeling like your team
[31:16] Speaker 6: is like dead each week? Right, Like, yeah, okay, you're
[31:18] Speaker 6: not feeling great, but you got Jordan Love, you got
[31:21] Speaker 6: a second guy, reasonable, right, but yeah, I do want
[31:25] Speaker 6: to have more shots at landing the difference maker, which
[31:28] Speaker 6: to me comes at running back in white.
[31:29] Speaker 2: El okay, and then the you know, as you noted
[31:32] Speaker 2: at the top, how running back seems to be. You know,
[31:35] Speaker 2: it's funny because like in season long, itself like not
[31:37] Speaker 2: best ball. I think it's more or less the same
[31:39] Speaker 2: of what we've seen. But I also think that part
[31:41] Speaker 2: of the best ball thing maybe maybe you would agree
[31:44] Speaker 2: or disagree, but I think there's at least part of
[31:46] Speaker 2: this is like the narrative of the taut where like
[31:50] Speaker 2: touts over the you know, maybe maybe not last year
[31:53] Speaker 2: as much, but definitely the year before that and the
[31:55] Speaker 2: year before that, we're super zero RB heavy right, like
[31:58] Speaker 2: like very much. So that was the mindset that a
[32:00] Speaker 2: lot of touts were going with, and I think that
[32:02] Speaker 2: part of the narrative to here is that like touts
[32:05] Speaker 2: are not doing that as much, and like they're more
[32:07] Speaker 2: open to more robust running back builds. Like I think
[32:10] Speaker 2: that is kind of fueling what this meta has become,
[32:13] Speaker 2: which is you know, going more running back heavy stemming
[32:15] Speaker 2: from that. Let's just assume that like it's super running
[32:19] Speaker 2: back heavy, and like we it gets more running back
[32:21] Speaker 2: heavy as the summer goes on, and like that's the
[32:23] Speaker 2: way that that the drafts are unfolding. Is this a
[32:27] Speaker 2: season then where you want to zig while others are
[32:30] Speaker 2: zagging and you actually want to lean into a zero
[32:33] Speaker 2: RB build?
[32:33] Speaker 6: More so, I always try to do a mix of
[32:37] Speaker 6: builds every year, right, Like, I don't want to go
[32:40] Speaker 6: all zero RB any year. I don't want to go
[32:43] Speaker 6: all here running back in a year. I think to
[32:46] Speaker 6: your point, yeah, a lot of touts probably drafted zero
[32:49] Speaker 6: RB and did bad and that felt bad and so
[32:51] Speaker 6: they're they're changing that. But no, I think also to
[32:54] Speaker 6: your point, yes, this is a great year to go
[32:56] Speaker 6: zero RB. Where definitions on that like mix?
[33:00] Speaker 1: Yes, it rives me nuts.
[33:02] Speaker 6: And though it's like, what what is zero back? Zero
[33:05] Speaker 6: running back?
[33:06] Speaker 5: To you?
[33:06] Speaker 6: Is it Tony Pollard?
[33:07] Speaker 1: Does your RB one?
[33:08] Speaker 5: Is it?
[33:08] Speaker 1: Rashad White? Is your RB one?
[33:10] Speaker 6: Like those are two different things.
[33:13] Speaker 2: You know.
[33:14] Speaker 6: To some people, it's like Travis etn as there RB one.
[33:17] Speaker 6: It's like, dude, you took him the third round, Like
[33:19] Speaker 6: what are we talking about? But like let's say I
[33:23] Speaker 6: think to most people first running back around round seven,
[33:27] Speaker 6: which would be the Warren Stevenson Harv Range like there
[33:32] Speaker 6: are guys to like in that range. Uh, you know,
[33:35] Speaker 6: I also like, like, you know, Kenneth Gainwell, I like
[33:41] Speaker 6: the Steelers guys, Jonathan Brook. So I mix up my builds,
[33:46] Speaker 6: and my ranks almost always lean more wide receiver heavy,
[33:50] Speaker 6: where it's just hard for Darius Slayton to turn into
[33:53] Speaker 6: Jamar Chase. It's not that hard for Jordan Mason with
[33:58] Speaker 6: volume to turn into a points per game. We saw
[34:01] Speaker 6: that last year when Aaron Jones got hurt, and so, yeah,
[34:04] Speaker 6: I mix it up. But I do think to your
[34:05] Speaker 6: point's a good year to do the zero RB, especially
[34:08] Speaker 6: because running back prices are more expensive and less people
[34:11] Speaker 6: are doing it.
[34:12] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[34:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been trying to the Other thing too, is
[34:15] Speaker 2: that when you mix up strategy, this is what I've experienced,
[34:17] Speaker 2: at least in doing more of the max entering and
[34:21] Speaker 2: playing a lot more over the last couple years. When
[34:23] Speaker 2: you do different strategies, you're getting exposure to different players
[34:27] Speaker 2: just naturally, right Like that to me screwed me a
[34:31] Speaker 2: couple of years ago was that I was going more
[34:33] Speaker 2: zero RB heavy, which I think, yes, it was a
[34:35] Speaker 2: good year for going not zero RB.
[34:38] Speaker 1: But at the same time.
[34:39] Speaker 2: More so, in my opinion, it's that you're getting certain
[34:42] Speaker 2: exposure to the same players over and over again, as
[34:44] Speaker 2: opposed to having the right mix of players right just
[34:47] Speaker 2: just naturally based on that strategy. And I think that
[34:50] Speaker 2: also is like an untalked about part of being a
[34:54] Speaker 2: little bit more flexible with the strategy.
[34:55] Speaker 1: Overall.
[34:56] Speaker 6: That's a great point, and I can think of a
[34:58] Speaker 6: couple examples that highlight that. One of the years where
[35:01] Speaker 6: Nico Collins was a big hit, he was around around
[35:05] Speaker 6: like ten or eleven wide receiver, and as someone who
[35:08] Speaker 6: was drafting a lot of zero RB, I thought I
[35:11] Speaker 6: had my wide receivers checked. So who am I taking
[35:13] Speaker 6: in those rounds? I'm taking running backs, So I'm missing
[35:16] Speaker 6: on the Nico. Same thing this year, where again I
[35:19] Speaker 6: would say my teams are more wide receiver heavy. I'm
[35:22] Speaker 6: not getting as much of the Jaden Higgins of the world,
[35:26] Speaker 6: who I find a reasonable bet. But like when I
[35:29] Speaker 6: need to take a running back, and it's kind of
[35:31] Speaker 6: like the last guys you feel good about, I'm just
[35:34] Speaker 6: inherently getting a little bit less of that if I'm
[35:36] Speaker 6: going to a heavy wide receiver. So if Jadon Higgins
[35:39] Speaker 6: is a big hit. I'm not missing it because I
[35:40] Speaker 6: dislike Jaydon Higgins. I actually kind of like like the
[35:42] Speaker 6: bet I'm missing it because of my builds. So yeah,
[35:45] Speaker 6: I think that's a great point where mixing up the
[35:47] Speaker 6: builds you go for RBS heavy, now you're just getting
[35:50] Speaker 6: different types of players because they live in different pockets
[35:53] Speaker 6: of the draft.
[35:54] Speaker 2: It even extends the quarterback stuff too, right, because if
[35:57] Speaker 2: you're not like let's say you're not getting Josh Allen,
[36:00] Speaker 2: you aren't in a position very frequently to get like
[36:03] Speaker 2: a Lamar or you know that five six range and
[36:05] Speaker 2: then all of a sudden, like we know, there's you know,
[36:08] Speaker 2: I think that like from a value perspective, we would
[36:10] Speaker 2: all we would, we would probably a lot of people
[36:12] Speaker 2: would agree that, Like towards the end of the single
[36:14] Speaker 2: digit rounds, you know into the double where you see
[36:16] Speaker 2: that like giant pocket of quarterbacks go, you're probably double
[36:20] Speaker 2: tapping frequently in a lot of drafts, and you're probably
[36:22] Speaker 2: going and that's you're doing that more frequently if you
[36:24] Speaker 2: don't get Josh Allen, if you don't get Lamar Jackson,
[36:27] Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, I noticed this, like
[36:29] Speaker 2: fortunately pretty early on and like what my portfolio was
[36:32] Speaker 2: looking like. But I was like, man, I like these
[36:34] Speaker 2: running backs and wide receivers in this.
[36:36] Speaker 1: Range, but I'm not getting them. Yeah, I'm not getting them.
[36:39] Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh my gosh, I gotta stop doing
[36:41] Speaker 2: this because now all of a sudden, like my Kenneth
[36:43] Speaker 2: Gainwell exposure or my Jonathan Brook's exposure when I love Brooks,
[36:46] Speaker 2: I love the Brooks bet this year, right and I'm worthy.
[36:49] Speaker 6: Or Pittman or pearstill like whoever they are.
[36:52] Speaker 2: For you exactly, and like that, all of a sudden,
[36:54] Speaker 2: you're like, holy crap, I don't I don't have the
[36:56] Speaker 2: right mix of players right now, just because I'm not
[37:00] Speaker 2: doing that other thing. And so there's other ways of
[37:02] Speaker 2: getting round, like if you want to full fade Josh
[37:03] Speaker 2: Allen or if that's like what your mission is this year,
[37:07] Speaker 2: just keep that in mind, like keep that part in mind,
[37:09] Speaker 2: you know.
[37:10] Speaker 6: And that's why I say it's it's shortsighted to fade
[37:12] Speaker 6: Josh Allen because it doesn't realize like what we're diving
[37:15] Speaker 6: into in the more deep it deeper, like you know,
[37:17] Speaker 6: exposure questions here, like to me, Okay, Cale Williams, Drake
[37:22] Speaker 6: May it feels like we're maybe we're crowning them a
[37:25] Speaker 6: little bit early, or maybe we're undervaluing them whatever. Like
[37:28] Speaker 6: to me, they feel like, I'm confused why Jackson Darti's
[37:31] Speaker 6: four rounds cheaper than them who had a bunch of good,
[37:35] Speaker 6: fancy games runs the ball. But I simply am gonna
[37:38] Speaker 6: take them sometimes just to get exposure to them. And
[37:41] Speaker 6: so to your point, I'm now taking more of the
[37:45] Speaker 6: whatever running back, wide receivers, tight ends in that round
[37:49] Speaker 6: eight through nine, and I don't want to be the
[37:51] Speaker 6: guy every eight and nine. This is where I get
[37:53] Speaker 6: my quarterbacks because that's what's best for advance rate. It's
[37:55] Speaker 6: like you're not thinking about how do you win.
[37:58] Speaker 1: H It's a difference between doing a lot of drafts
[38:00] Speaker 1: and two drafts, you know. For like like if I
[38:02] Speaker 1: was doing if I was doing like a volume, yeah
[38:05] Speaker 1: right right.
[38:06] Speaker 2: If I'm doing five best ball drafts, I'm probably okay, Like.
[38:10] Speaker 6: Hey, get you home to you guys, Yeah Jersey.
[38:13] Speaker 2: You have yeah, right right, that's my pocket at quarterbacks.
[38:16] Speaker 2: I'll get those there, and I'll do that in all
[38:17] Speaker 2: five drafts. But if you're listening to this and you're
[38:19] Speaker 2: doing fifty plus one hundred plus, you know, two hundred
[38:22] Speaker 2: plus teams then and drafts. Then I would advise to probably,
[38:26] Speaker 2: you know, mix up the strategy portion of things, and
[38:30] Speaker 2: I would argue it might even like lean quarterback more
[38:34] Speaker 2: than the other strategies because even when you go zero RB,
[38:38] Speaker 2: and even when you go robust RB, you at least
[38:41] Speaker 2: can like, like, you know, you're getting five plus six
[38:44] Speaker 2: plus of a certain position, usually right of the running
[38:48] Speaker 2: back and wide receiver, but like a quarterback you're getting
[38:50] Speaker 2: two or three, And so if you're not getting one
[38:53] Speaker 2: at that point in time, then you're you're you're running
[38:56] Speaker 2: the risk of then them drying out.
[38:58] Speaker 1: And you're not happy.
[38:59] Speaker 2: So like you're you're feeling worse to get them in
[39:00] Speaker 2: that range, and so like like you can at least
[39:03] Speaker 2: get those other running back and wide receivers in round nine,
[39:06] Speaker 2: in round ten if you go zero RB or if
[39:08] Speaker 2: you go robust RB, But if you're going non early
[39:11] Speaker 2: round quarterback all the time, then then you're really running
[39:14] Speaker 2: into a wall in terms of not getting exposure to
[39:16] Speaker 2: those players.
[39:17] Speaker 6: So, yeah, it doesn't feel good when you take Josh
[39:19] Speaker 6: Allen and then quarterbacks start falling past ADP. But what
[39:23] Speaker 6: happens way more, especially on DK, is like you take
[39:26] Speaker 6: Josh Allen and then three Drafters take four quarterbacks, and
[39:29] Speaker 6: now you're like, oh my god, I'm sitting pretty with
[39:31] Speaker 6: great value. I just spent like a third or fourth whatever.
[39:35] Speaker 6: All I got to fade is like, you know, Ted
[39:38] Speaker 6: McMillan or Buka or someone like this being the guy
[39:41] Speaker 6: you need this year. But I'm able to take my
[39:44] Speaker 6: QB two not stress it while other people are taking
[39:47] Speaker 6: now Aaron Rodgers in the tenth round because they're they're
[39:51] Speaker 6: reacting to what the room is doing.
[39:54] Speaker 2: One of the big talking points that I've you know,
[39:56] Speaker 2: I like. I talked to Davis a little bit about
[39:58] Speaker 2: this on his show. He seemed to not be nearly
[40:02] Speaker 2: as concerned this year about Week seventeen. In Week seventeen matchups,
[40:05] Speaker 2: at least compared to previous seasons. Is that something that
[40:09] Speaker 2: you have started to fade more or is it something
[40:11] Speaker 2: that you're leaning into more? How are you looking at
[40:13] Speaker 2: Week seventeen?
[40:14] Speaker 6: Week seventeen remains important to me. I have not really
[40:18] Speaker 6: changed how I approach it. I do not force it
[40:21] Speaker 6: in every single draft. There are some drafts where I
[40:23] Speaker 6: simply take guys who I think are good bets. However,
[40:27] Speaker 6: that also kind of ties into like me just trying
[40:31] Speaker 6: to pick individual gems from Week seventeen games. I like,
[40:34] Speaker 6: like I want a piece of Jaguars commanders. I want
[40:37] Speaker 6: a piece of Cowboys giants. So even when I'm not
[40:39] Speaker 6: doing a full game stack, I'm still Week seventeen is
[40:42] Speaker 6: still top of mind because I believe it's very important. Yeah,
[40:45] Speaker 6: and there are lots of teams where I try to
[40:47] Speaker 6: get a lot of Week seventeen mini correlation breaking ties,
[40:52] Speaker 6: and most of the teams I've won contests with have
[40:54] Speaker 6: had something like ten to twelve plus players week seventeen
[40:59] Speaker 6: mini correlation, And it's another good way just to vary
[41:01] Speaker 6: your bets, like right, so it's like you have Jaden Reid, Oh,
[41:05] Speaker 6: I take Jayden Higgins instead of Jalen Coker because they
[41:08] Speaker 6: play Week seventeen things like that.
[41:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of how I've approached it as well.
[41:13] Speaker 2: I mean it helped me, Like I feel like, once
[41:15] Speaker 2: you experience it at helping you too. Anecdotally You're like, Okay,
[41:20] Speaker 2: I see this, right, Like I see this, and that's
[41:22] Speaker 2: what it like it did for me last year in
[41:23] Speaker 2: Week seventeen it's like I get, like you can. You
[41:25] Speaker 2: can fully understand and grasp why you're making those correlated
[41:29] Speaker 2: bets in that week, because obviously that's the money week
[41:32] Speaker 2: and you set, you're sitting.
[41:33] Speaker 6: And there's simply some years there's going to be games
[41:35] Speaker 6: you have to have right to win, and that's not
[41:37] Speaker 6: guarant some it could be that there's a bunch of
[41:40] Speaker 6: evenish games, yeah, and you could get there a lot
[41:43] Speaker 6: of ways, but more often than that, there's going to
[41:45] Speaker 6: be a game you need. And also, although the finals
[41:48] Speaker 6: field is big about a thousand players, you do not
[41:51] Speaker 6: need a ninety nine point ninety nine percentile outcome. You
[41:54] Speaker 6: do not need to beat a million entrants, even though
[41:56] Speaker 6: there's a million entrants in the contest, need to be
[41:59] Speaker 6: twelve twelve and then a thousand and so maybe you
[42:03] Speaker 6: can win with a top eighty five percentile team, and
[42:07] Speaker 6: correlating is an easier way to do that versus picking
[42:11] Speaker 6: random players and saying that you have the hand of
[42:14] Speaker 6: God and you're picking the nuts. Yeah, it is what
[42:16] Speaker 6: you're trying to do if you're trying to beat a
[42:18] Speaker 6: million entrants, not a thousand, right.
[42:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, totally. We haven't talked about tight end very much.
[42:23] Speaker 2: Are you in or out on elite tight end this year?
[42:26] Speaker 6: It's a very interesting question. And again I would ask you, like,
[42:30] Speaker 6: is elite tight end only mcbrideen Bowers?
[42:32] Speaker 1: Is it down too lovely to you?
[42:34] Speaker 2: We can put Loveland in there, and even even if
[42:36] Speaker 2: you want to even go to Warren if you want
[42:38] Speaker 2: to talk about him.
[42:39] Speaker 6: So it's an interesting question to me because Okay, yes
[42:42] Speaker 6: I'm drafting them, especially McBride, who falls to the third round.
[42:48] Speaker 6: Like I kind of like some offenses who just have
[42:51] Speaker 6: like I call it the stink, like the Cardinals stink,
[42:54] Speaker 6: the Jets stink, the Brown stink, like people are too
[42:57] Speaker 6: confident that these teams stink. Yeah, yeah, they're probably not
[43:00] Speaker 6: going to be great, But you're also getting a discount
[43:04] Speaker 6: on the players because of this. And so I do
[43:07] Speaker 6: want Bowers, McBride, Loven simply because you might need them,
[43:11] Speaker 6: and it gives you the flexibility to do weirder lineup constructions,
[43:15] Speaker 6: like you can take Bowers and only one other tight
[43:18] Speaker 6: end and then just have extra shots at running back
[43:21] Speaker 6: or wide receiver.
[43:23] Speaker 1: At the same time.
[43:24] Speaker 6: Though I really like this, Dalton Kincaid, Travis Kelce, godd
[43:28] Speaker 6: or Ferguson range and then even cheaper. I think the
[43:32] Speaker 6: chig Juwan, Breton Strange, Kenyan Sadik, this type of range
[43:36] Speaker 6: is reasonable, and of course at the end of the
[43:38] Speaker 6: draft you even have like the Mika Sicki's Pat Fryarman,
[43:40] Speaker 6: Like there's a lot of Every single year, there's a
[43:44] Speaker 6: lot of tight ends to sell yourself on. There are
[43:47] Speaker 6: going to be years you need an elite tight end
[43:49] Speaker 6: to win, So I do mix it up. Like if
[43:52] Speaker 6: I was just trying to advance teams, I would pass
[43:55] Speaker 6: on them because I do think more likely than not,
[43:58] Speaker 6: at elite tight end is worse for your advance rates
[44:01] Speaker 6: for best ball because you know you're passing on elite
[44:05] Speaker 6: running backs and wide outs. And it's very easy to
[44:08] Speaker 6: take three random guys and cobble together twelve points a week, right,
[44:13] Speaker 6: But I'm trying to win. So do I think Holston
[44:15] Speaker 6: Lovelin could be the guy you need against the Lions
[44:17] Speaker 6: Week seventeen?
[44:18] Speaker 1: I do?
[44:19] Speaker 6: Do I think Bowers could be the guy you need?
[44:20] Speaker 5: I do?
[44:21] Speaker 1: Do I think McBride could be the guy you need?
[44:23] Speaker 1: I do?
[44:23] Speaker 6: And also like, hey, if they're just averaging twenty points
[44:26] Speaker 6: a game or something, PPR. That helps for advance rates too,
[44:29] Speaker 6: So it's kind of like it's a win win where
[44:31] Speaker 6: it's like if they're bad for advancing, they're going to
[44:33] Speaker 6: be more unique. If they're good for advancing, cool, I'm
[44:36] Speaker 6: advancing more teams, so I'm always into elite tight end.
[44:39] Speaker 6: But yeah, there's a lot of guys to like throughout there.
[44:42] Speaker 2: So in those in those early rounds, is there a
[44:45] Speaker 2: pick that you're going to be heaviest on this year
[44:47] Speaker 2: that you that you look at and you and you
[44:49] Speaker 2: feel there's mentally.
[44:51] Speaker 6: Common helple, I feel in my bones. One I'll go.
[44:55] Speaker 6: You know, I guess early. What are we calling early?
[44:58] Speaker 6: We calling early? Round five plus round three plus, let's
[45:01] Speaker 6: go a three plus? Okay, round three plus, let's go
[45:04] Speaker 6: with Jeremiah Love. Okay, to me, dude, one third in
[45:08] Speaker 6: the draft, I understand, it's a worse draft class than normal,
[45:12] Speaker 6: but this is the cheapest we've had a generational running
[45:14] Speaker 6: back prospect ever, be in a market where running backs
[45:19] Speaker 6: are more expensive than ever. So to me, that's just
[45:21] Speaker 6: like a close your eyes and let the chips falls.
[45:24] Speaker 2: They may.
[45:24] Speaker 6: I'll bet on the ultra talented guy while everyone else
[45:28] Speaker 6: is just saying Cardinals have to stink.
[45:30] Speaker 1: Probably has a.
[45:30] Speaker 6: Tough schedule during the regular season, but once he gets
[45:33] Speaker 6: to the playoffs, he has a pretty tasty schedule, culminating
[45:38] Speaker 6: with the Raiders week seventeen. So even if it's kind
[45:41] Speaker 6: of tough sledding, especially on DK where it's PPR, I
[45:44] Speaker 6: just like his ability to get catches. I like his
[45:47] Speaker 6: ability to be a home run hitter. It's a running
[45:49] Speaker 6: back bet. I actually like And it seems kind of
[45:52] Speaker 6: crazy to me that you can go like Love in
[45:55] Speaker 6: the it he'll fault to the end of the third.
[45:57] Speaker 6: Sometimes it's crazy Love there, and then within a round
[46:01] Speaker 6: you got Javonte Williams, which is like or you know,
[46:05] Speaker 6: it's like.
[46:05] Speaker 1: Kind of an inspiring player.
[46:07] Speaker 6: Yeah, just like plotters like, yeah, you're trying to get
[46:10] Speaker 6: fifteen points a game, like Jeremiah Love is a swing
[46:12] Speaker 6: at true league winning upside even though his team is
[46:15] Speaker 6: not good.
[46:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I like that pick.
[46:17] Speaker 2: What about some some players that you're looking at late
[46:21] Speaker 2: in drafts that that you I feel like, I don't know.
[46:23] Speaker 2: I talked to to Crane about this a little bit.
[46:25] Speaker 2: I've mentioned this on the show. In general, it feels
[46:28] Speaker 2: like a weaker year in the late rounds right now.
[46:32] Speaker 1: Now.
[46:32] Speaker 2: It could just be I'm living in the moment right
[46:35] Speaker 2: now and it's June, and more players are going to
[46:38] Speaker 2: emerge and we're going to feel better about them when
[46:39] Speaker 2: we start to understand situation a little bit more. But
[46:42] Speaker 2: you know, Crane brought it up, and I agree with
[46:43] Speaker 2: them where it's like, also, this rookie class is not
[46:46] Speaker 2: that strong, it's not very deep, and so all of
[46:49] Speaker 2: a sudden, you know you don't have the same like
[46:52] Speaker 2: Day two wide receiver bets that.
[46:53] Speaker 1: You usually feel good about.
[46:54] Speaker 2: There weren't as many day day two running backs either,
[46:58] Speaker 2: that would push players down, and then you get better
[47:01] Speaker 2: rookies late.
[47:01] Speaker 1: Then do you agree? Maybe you disagree?
[47:03] Speaker 2: And then are you are there any players that you're
[47:05] Speaker 2: you're drafting frequently late right now?
[47:07] Speaker 6: Okay, So i'd actually I disagree in a sense where
[47:11] Speaker 6: from a certainty angle may be true, but you know,
[47:15] Speaker 6: late round picks are always certain. But I'm gonna list
[47:18] Speaker 6: some names here, and we know what these guys can be.
[47:21] Speaker 6: So I actually think it's an incredibly unique year where
[47:25] Speaker 6: we are potentially drafting league winners and I'm gonna say
[47:28] Speaker 6: Tank Dell Brandon, IU Tyreek Hill, these types of guys
[47:34] Speaker 6: who were like, they're not all all of them are
[47:37] Speaker 6: not thirty five right, Like they're young, they're coming off injury,
[47:41] Speaker 6: they have varying degrees of whatever going on, Travis Hunter.
[47:44] Speaker 6: So we're drafting ultra talented guys late in drafts and
[47:50] Speaker 6: in June, in May. I'm into it. I'm into risking
[47:54] Speaker 6: the zero for what Brandon au could be on the
[47:57] Speaker 6: Commanders Tyreek Kill. That one's a little tougher for me
[48:00] Speaker 6: because I do have some of him, but still it
[48:03] Speaker 6: just seems like he's like super injured. So I'm taking
[48:06] Speaker 6: the risk on these guys, and it's not gonna feel
[48:09] Speaker 6: good if they're all zeros. I'm not doing it in
[48:11] Speaker 6: every draft, but I'm generally interested in doing the tank.
[48:15] Speaker 6: I especially at Yuke. Like I'm in on the Ayuke thing.
[48:18] Speaker 6: I know, I know it can be bad. I feel
[48:22] Speaker 6: like we're gonna get Like how I think it's gonna
[48:24] Speaker 6: go is he's gonna show up in August, get cut
[48:27] Speaker 6: and signed to the Commanders and it's Terry and Brandon
[48:31] Speaker 6: Ayuk for the Commanders. You know, Yeah, And I don't
[48:33] Speaker 6: know how healthy is Like, I'm not a doctor. I'm
[48:35] Speaker 6: not grinding his Instagram videos, but I think he's gonna
[48:39] Speaker 6: play man.
[48:39] Speaker 1: And none of that.
[48:40] Speaker 2: But I I think, you know, this is something that
[48:42] Speaker 2: that I've definitely played into more when when you when
[48:46] Speaker 2: you draft more teams and stuff. But like the CLV
[48:49] Speaker 2: that you can get on some of these guys that
[48:52] Speaker 2: are more ambiguous, right that we know, like Stefan Diggs
[48:55] Speaker 2: is like like, well, like we saw with Keenan Allen
[48:58] Speaker 2: last year, I like that a lot, you know, like
[49:00] Speaker 2: it's this idea that Keenan Allen last season was a
[49:03] Speaker 2: free agent.
[49:04] Speaker 1: Everyone's like, oh, he.
[49:05] Speaker 6: Didn't even say Dobbins JK Dobbins. I was smashing this
[49:08] Speaker 6: time of year. But because people were like, oh, is
[49:10] Speaker 6: he gonna sign right and.
[49:12] Speaker 2: And you know, like Dobbins found a good spot and
[49:13] Speaker 2: he rose a lot, and then Alan, the initial instinct
[49:17] Speaker 2: with him was like, Ah, this isn't like the greatest
[49:19] Speaker 2: spot in the world for Keenan Allen to thrive even
[49:21] Speaker 2: still as adp went up like five rounds, you know,
[49:24] Speaker 2: so like it feels like that's going to happen with
[49:26] Speaker 2: each of these guys when they I mean like imagine
[49:30] Speaker 2: if I you signed with a Command or you know,
[49:32] Speaker 2: gets traded or something.
[49:33] Speaker 1: Where will he go? Like, legit, where will he go?
[49:35] Speaker 1: In drafts?
[49:35] Speaker 6: I think he's gonna go, Like if we get a
[49:38] Speaker 6: positive reports, he's probably going around like the DK Metcalf
[49:41] Speaker 6: Chris Godwin range, right, like, yeah, I got to go
[49:45] Speaker 6: there day one, but yeah, right, like it could it
[49:47] Speaker 6: could gradually get to that point.
[49:49] Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, like that would be peak.
[49:51] Speaker 6: People would be like, oh okay, And so I don't
[49:54] Speaker 6: know if I really want to be doing that, and
[49:56] Speaker 6: so I'm happy to take And again I don't want
[49:59] Speaker 6: every single team have potentially dead a yuke on it.
[50:02] Speaker 6: But I think you're kind of silly if you're a
[50:05] Speaker 6: volume drafter not drafting them because to me, like when
[50:08] Speaker 6: I first started playing basketball, I think one of the
[50:10] Speaker 6: worst feelings in the world for me personally would be
[50:14] Speaker 6: only drafted in August and knowing that there's seventeenth around
[50:17] Speaker 6: Brandon I you teams on out there that I don't
[50:20] Speaker 6: get a chance to get. Yeah, like I would, I'd
[50:23] Speaker 6: be like, I don't.
[50:24] Speaker 5: I don't like that, you know, and.
[50:26] Speaker 2: It might it might not work right, it might not
[50:28] Speaker 2: pan out, but that's the that's the expected value, you
[50:31] Speaker 2: know equation. You're running through in your head whenever you're
[50:34] Speaker 2: whenever you're making that pick.
[50:35] Speaker 6: And ultimately a couple of zeros are not going to
[50:38] Speaker 6: kill you anyway. So it's like if I use the
[50:41] Speaker 6: zero and I've built a team, especially a team that maybe,
[50:44] Speaker 6: like you know, there's different sides of coin, for like,
[50:47] Speaker 6: what's a good time of year to go RB heavy
[50:49] Speaker 6: zero RB? I would say early, Like right now is
[50:53] Speaker 6: a good time to go RB heavy because you don't
[50:55] Speaker 6: have to weigh through the uncertainty, Like you don't have
[50:57] Speaker 6: to weigh through the uncertainty of like, oh is it Johnson?
[51:00] Speaker 5: Is it?
[51:01] Speaker 6: Nick Singleton, is it? Emmanuel Wilson is whatever? Like, Yeah,
[51:06] Speaker 6: on the other side of the coin, it can be
[51:07] Speaker 6: a good time to go zero RB because Saquon Barkley
[51:11] Speaker 6: tears his ACL two weeks from now, where's Tank Bigsby
[51:15] Speaker 6: going in drafts? Right? Like we know he's gonna be
[51:18] Speaker 6: a third round pick, so that will not feel good
[51:21] Speaker 6: not having exposure to that when he was a eighteenth
[51:25] Speaker 6: round pick or whatever. So yeah, like, and we've had
[51:28] Speaker 6: like people are very reactive to what's worked in the
[51:31] Speaker 6: past and bad at adding context, We've had very healthy
[51:35] Speaker 6: off seasons for running backs in particular for a couple
[51:39] Speaker 6: of years running now, and that eventually is not going
[51:42] Speaker 6: to be the case. Yeah, yeah, at least to this
[51:44] Speaker 6: degree for sure.
[51:45] Speaker 2: All Right, before I let you go, give me a
[51:48] Speaker 2: fire tick, give me, give me, give me, give me
[51:50] Speaker 2: a bold proclamation about what could go down here.
[51:53] Speaker 1: In twenty twenty six.
[51:54] Speaker 6: Okay, I got two for you, Okay, Jaguar Smith and
[51:58] Speaker 6: Jigba Parker Washington top twelve wide receiver this year.
[52:04] Speaker 1: There we go Brock Purty MVP.
[52:08] Speaker 6: With Mike Evans coming in with ten plus touchdowns thirteen
[52:13] Speaker 6: hundred plus yards. I like both these bets, Mike Evans,
[52:17] Speaker 6: Parker Washington. The Washington one is just like, I look
[52:21] Speaker 6: at what he did last year, and having watched those games,
[52:24] Speaker 6: the dude was legit torching people.
[52:26] Speaker 1: Oh okay, amazing.
[52:28] Speaker 6: Great, So people could say it was because of Brian
[52:30] Speaker 6: Thomas Junior was hurt and Hunter was hurt. All true,
[52:34] Speaker 6: but also the dude is legit good in my opinion,
[52:36] Speaker 6: and I just don't see him going from what he
[52:38] Speaker 6: was doing, including the real NFL playoffs, to being a
[52:42] Speaker 6: stone zero. So sure I want to be taking Brian
[52:45] Speaker 6: Thomas Junior as well in case, it was all injury
[52:49] Speaker 6: and Brian's we get back this Brian Thomas junior rookie
[52:53] Speaker 6: year thing, and then the Mike Evans thing is like
[52:55] Speaker 6: last year. I tweeted out, like, people don't understand Matt
[52:59] Speaker 6: Stafford could win the MVP this year, and this was
[53:02] Speaker 6: during him going in and out of the cryo chamber.
[53:05] Speaker 6: And why do I feel that way? I felt that
[53:07] Speaker 6: way because Devanta Adams was in town, and that is
[53:10] Speaker 6: a whole other calculus. Mike Evans coming to the forty
[53:13] Speaker 6: nine ers gives me just different feel like this could
[53:16] Speaker 6: be the year where Perdy just throws a you know,
[53:19] Speaker 6: six red zone touchdowns to Mike Evans on top of
[53:21] Speaker 6: what he'll usually get. You got questionable talent around Mike Evans.
[53:26] Speaker 6: We don't know what Kittle will be, We don't know
[53:29] Speaker 6: when Kittle will play. CMC is getting older, We don't
[53:32] Speaker 6: know how good Ricky Pearsall is. I do believe Purdy
[53:35] Speaker 6: is good, and I believe in Big Mike if he
[53:37] Speaker 6: stays healthy, could legit smash.
[53:41] Speaker 1: Yeah. I like it. I like it. Liam, This is great.
[53:44] Speaker 2: Let everyone know where they can find you, your YouTube channel,
[53:47] Speaker 2: where you're drafting all that.
[53:49] Speaker 6: Yeah, you can search me up on YouTube, Liam Murphy.
[53:51] Speaker 6: I am not the runner in college. I am or

[54:19] Speaker 1: Otherwise, everyone, thanks for tuning in.
