[0:00] Speaker 1: Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.
[0:05] Speaker 2: And welcome back. George Norrie with you. The Reverend Sarah
[0:07] Speaker 2: Nash with us, founder of the White Light Express. a
[0:10] Speaker 2: clairvoyant and ordained minister who has spent more than 25
[0:14] Speaker 2: years teaching about the paranormal and the mysteries of the universe.
[0:18] Speaker 2: And for 16 years, she studied crystal skulls and the
[0:22] Speaker 2: legend of the 13 crystal skulls introduced to them by
[0:26] Speaker 2: a Mayan priest, later fulfilling prophecy by discovering her own
[0:30] Speaker 2: crystal skull. Sarah Nash on Coast to Coast. It's been
[0:34] Speaker 2: a while, Sarah. How you been?
[0:36] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, it has been a while. I've been great.
[0:39] Speaker 4: I've been great, actually, really busy writing, visiting. The White
[0:43] Speaker 4: Light Express has its 25-year anniversary coming up, so that's
[0:49] Speaker 4: kind of a big deal, 25 years of prayers.
[0:52] Speaker 3: And let's remember, you don't have to pay to pray.
[0:54] Speaker 2: Not at all. How did you get involved in such
[0:57] Speaker 2: kind of spirituality?
[0:59] Speaker 3: Oh, my life.
[1:02] Speaker 4: Yeah, no, my mother thought that I needed an exorcism
[1:05] Speaker 4: at a really young age, took me to a priest
[1:08] Speaker 4: who was the first person who actually validated me. But
[1:14] Speaker 4: my fascination with crystal skulls happened because, well, as a
[1:17] Speaker 4: Jungian analyst, I'm actually the world's most skeptical psychic, but
[1:22] Speaker 4: I had a dream about this old man, and he
[1:25] Speaker 4: was holding up skulls over his head. Now, I never
[1:29] Speaker 4: really got into any of the whole rigmarole or any
[1:33] Speaker 4: of the legends or anything. I was really interested in aliens, paranormal.
[1:40] Speaker 3: Situations with ghosts. And because I've had my own NDA, I... NDA.
[1:46] Speaker 4: Yeah, I have that.
[1:52] Speaker 3: Near-death experience. Don't talk about it.
[1:54] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[1:56] Speaker 4: When I had my dream, I looked it up immediately
[2:03] Speaker 4: the next day. And this was back in 2009, 2010.
[2:09] Speaker 4: And I looked up old man crystal skulls. And the
[2:12] Speaker 4: first thing that popped up on Google was Hanbat's men.
[2:17] Speaker 3: And there was the man that I dreamed about, that
[2:21] Speaker 3: I'd had that dream about. And it was shocking. Really,
[2:25] Speaker 3: really shocking.
[2:26] Speaker 4: Like I said, I'm skeptical. My first go-to is it's
[2:30] Speaker 4: not a ghost. It's not an alien. It's not something spiritual. It's...
[2:36] Speaker 4: You know, it's something that our mind is making up.
[2:39] Speaker 4: And so when I get confirmations like these, this is
[2:43] Speaker 4: what kind of puts me over the line into the
[2:46] Speaker 4: supernatural and the paranormal.
[2:48] Speaker 3: And then I had to meet him.
[2:51] Speaker 4: Immediately, I began writing and asking. And so when I
[2:55] Speaker 4: finally did meet with Hanbat's on the solstice during the.
[3:03] Speaker 2: And he was the Mayan priest, the Mayan priest, right?
[3:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.
[3:07] Speaker 4: And Patricia and Daniel Cardona, they actually run the Cosmic
[3:12] Speaker 4: Mystery Schools, but Hun Batts had his own crystal skull.
[3:16] Speaker 4: And when I met him, he said, you know, you're
[3:21] Speaker 4: not magical, what's inside of you?
[3:24] Speaker 3: Is magical.
[3:25] Speaker 4: And, you know, that was my first, I think, moment
[3:29] Speaker 4: of bruised ego. I'm like, I'm not magical. I wanted
[3:31] Speaker 4: to be magical. We all want to be magical.
[3:34] Speaker 2: How old, Sarah, are crystal skulls generally?
[3:41] Speaker 3: Well, old, old as the earth. They're carved.
[3:46] Speaker 4: I mean, the Maya and the Aztecs used skull imagery,
[3:51] Speaker 4: and they carved stone, jade, obsidian, and other materials into
[3:56] Speaker 4: sacred objects. But the famous large quartz skulls that claim
[4:02] Speaker 4: to be ancient Mesoamerican artifacts are They've not held up
[4:08] Speaker 4: well under scientific examination. So there are several examples that
[4:16] Speaker 4: show evidence of modern cutting and polishing techniques. And this
[4:21] Speaker 4: doesn't prove that there wasn't an ancient person that never
[4:24] Speaker 4: carved anything resembling a skull from crystal.
[4:28] Speaker 3: It means that we basically....
[4:30] Speaker 4: We lack any credible archaeological evidence for the grand tradition
[4:37] Speaker 4: described in what we would call modern crystal skull lore.
[4:43] Speaker 4: They're old, of course they're old, but I mean, basically
[4:46] Speaker 4: we can go back to the early 19th century. And
[4:51] Speaker 4: it starts with the Mitchell Hedges skull and others, the
[4:56] Speaker 4: Smithsonian skull. But we don't have any real evidence. But
[5:01] Speaker 4: I'm not going to say that that doesn't mean something.
[5:04] Speaker 2: How did they carve them out so smoothly?
[5:08] Speaker 3: Well, they used rotary tools.
[5:10] Speaker 4: It's like, it's modern technology. When we look at the, well,
[5:21] Speaker 4: the documentation is that they were probably used with diamond
[5:26] Speaker 4: cutting skills and just, it's all modern tooling. There's no
[5:33] Speaker 4: evidence that shows that it's done by ancient hands.
[5:40] Speaker 2: That's an interesting take. What do you mean by that?
[5:44] Speaker 4: Well, you know, when we go back to religious and
[5:50] Speaker 4: spiritual traditions, okay, and this is like following Isaac, too,
[5:55] Speaker 4: because almost everywhere, skulls and bones have represented mortality, our ancestors, saints, wisdom, initiation,
[6:08] Speaker 4: those kinds of things. Christian traditions preserved relics of saints, right?
[6:13] Speaker 4: Buddhist and Hindu traditions sometimes bring in human remains or
[6:19] Speaker 4: skull imagery as reminders that we are impermanent, that we're
[6:24] Speaker 4: going to transcend. But the Mesoamerican civilizations used a lot
[6:30] Speaker 4: of skull imagery, really extensively. But European Christianity developed, what
[6:36] Speaker 4: is that, memento mori? Remember that you will die, basically.
[6:43] Speaker 4: Different cultures really interpret the image differently. There's a basic
[6:50] Speaker 4: message that keeps returning. Life is temporary. What are you
[6:54] Speaker 4: going to do with it?
[6:55] Speaker 2: But are you saying that they were carved out from
[6:58] Speaker 2: ancient mechanical abilities?
[7:02] Speaker 3: No, not at all. In fact, quite the opposite. I'm
[7:04] Speaker 3: saying that it was modern.
[7:06] Speaker 4: Anything ancient that we have that is representing a skull,
[7:15] Speaker 4: the tooling on it is completely different.
[7:19] Speaker 2: Well, when you say modern, what do you mean by that?
[7:24] Speaker 4: Well, I think it's important to go with the prophecy, right?
[7:33] Speaker 4: the 13 skulls prophecy and where that came from. And
[7:36] Speaker 4: so we don't know, not anything resembling the documentation that
[7:42] Speaker 4: we'd expect for a genuine ancient prophecy. There's no known
[7:46] Speaker 4: Maya codex containing the 13 skulls prophecy. And there isn't
[7:50] Speaker 4: a recognized pre-Columbian inscription laying out the story either. The
[7:55] Speaker 4: crystal skull story accumulated layers during the 20th century. And
[8:01] Speaker 4: it really became intertwined with a lot of New Age teachings.
[8:06] Speaker 4: And the indigenous attributed prophecies like Atlantis and extraterrestrial.
[8:13] Speaker 3: Narratives, that came later.
[8:15] Speaker 4: So when somebody says ancient Maya prophecy says that there's
[8:19] Speaker 4: 13 crystal skulls, my next question is, you know, which
[8:24] Speaker 4: Maya text? And that's where the historical trail becomes really,
[8:28] Speaker 4: really thin because But I also want to point out
[8:33] Speaker 4: that our crystal skulls today represent a kind of a
[8:39] Speaker 4: modern form of ancestor symbolism.
[8:41] Speaker 6: And I know you're going to want some after hearing this.
[8:43] Speaker 6: This is an amazing story. We've got Stephen and Malachi
[8:46] Speaker 6: Gregory in Nelson, New Zealand. I understand that Malachi, who's eight,
[8:51] Speaker 6: almost nine years old now, was suffering with cancer. Not
[8:54] Speaker 6: just one or two warts, but I mean a significant
[8:57] Speaker 6: outbreak of warts all over his body. So significant it
[8:59] Speaker 6: impacted his ability to really function.
[9:02] Speaker 5: Yeah, he was having trouble even holding a pencil to write.
[9:05] Speaker 5: It was Ty's book actually that got me thinking about it.
[9:08] Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. It is an amazing immunomodulator. And so
[9:12] Speaker 1: I can see that it would work.
[9:14] Speaker 6: And so at what point did you see that there
[9:17] Speaker 6: was actually improvement?
[9:18] Speaker 1: It was really going to work?
[9:19] Speaker 5: Well, look, we really started to notice it around 12
[9:21] Speaker 5: weeks later. You can see these things actually getting smaller
[9:25] Speaker 5: and smaller and then going down to where they're just
[9:28] Speaker 5: little red marks. The whole things are gone. And we're
[9:30] Speaker 5: talking about one the size of a walnut. I thought,
[9:33] Speaker 5: no way that's going to. Wow. It's just been miraculous
[9:37] Speaker 5: to see him get into a pair of shoes.
[9:39] Speaker 1: Yes.
[9:40] Speaker 6: How wonderful.
[9:41] Speaker 5: It's great to see him so happy and confident.
[9:43] Speaker 6: Absolutely wonderful.
[9:45] Speaker 5: Our friends that have seen it, they're just blown away.
[9:47] Speaker 2: Ty, this is awesome.
[9:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, this is awesome.
[9:49] Speaker 2: Another amazing story.
[9:50] Speaker 6: Why?
[9:51] Speaker 2: of the 13 crystal skulls?
[9:51] Speaker 2: We're talking about carnivora. Call them to awaken your immune
[9:54] Speaker 2: system and protect yourself now. Call 1-866-836-8735. What is the legend, Sarah,
[10:16] Speaker 4: Mostly that when there are 13 skulls, that when they
[10:21] Speaker 4: come together, then we're supposed to have this sacred moment
[10:26] Speaker 4: of revelation, aka disclosure, perhaps.
[10:30] Speaker 3: It's about a doorway opening, if you will.
[10:38] Speaker 2: Have these 13 skulls all been found?
[10:41] Speaker 5: No.
[10:43] Speaker 3: Okay, so this is.
[10:45] Speaker 4: This is where I want to step in with what
[10:48] Speaker 4: I do know from a really personal place, because again,
[10:51] Speaker 4: I've only had this experience with crystal skulls for about
[10:55] Speaker 4: 15 years and I have my own and, and the
[10:58] Speaker 4: way I have a 13 pound, uh, Rose quartz crystal
[11:02] Speaker 4: skull and her name is Leah Rose and she's traveled.
[11:05] Speaker 4: She likes to visit people. She's sat with some of
[11:08] Speaker 4: the grandmothers, uh, and she's, she's been to Sedona. She's
[11:13] Speaker 4: sat in a couple of, conferences. And so I give
[11:17] Speaker 4: her the personality that I feel is best suited for
[11:22] Speaker 4: the vibration, the rose quartz vibration, right, of love. And
[11:28] Speaker 4: that heart-based stuff. So I have actually met someone who
[11:34] Speaker 4: claimed to be part of creating or spreading the 13
[11:40] Speaker 4: skulls story. And this was in Mount Shasta. And this
[11:44] Speaker 4: was 2012. My husband was with me. This guy in
[11:49] Speaker 4: this crystal store, you know.
[11:53] Speaker 4: We walked in because at that point I had a
[11:55] Speaker 4: very small Jasper. It was carved out of Jasper and
[12:03] Speaker 4: a crystal skull that I had found at a different store,
[12:07] Speaker 4: a different crystal store. But he said to me, well,
[12:11] Speaker 4: which one of the original 13 crystal skulls do you want?
[12:14] Speaker 3: I have like 30 in the back.
[12:17] Speaker 2: Jeez.
[12:17] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[12:20] Speaker 4: What he said, though, was that he and a few
[12:23] Speaker 4: of his friends that were in the selling the crystal trade,
[12:28] Speaker 4: which was part of this New Age movement that in
[12:32] Speaker 4: the New Age really isn't new, but. the pushing forward of...
[12:38] Speaker 4: And what was it that Isaac said earlier? Somebody said
[12:41] Speaker 4: in the first half of your show, George, idols are
[12:46] Speaker 4: the marketplace. It was all about capitalism and how could
[12:52] Speaker 4: they really influence people to buy more crystals and to
[12:56] Speaker 4: really get involved with it. So because this 13, the
[13:00] Speaker 4: prophecy really asks us us to become involved in something
[13:05] Speaker 4: and pushing something forward. And I believe what that something is,
[13:09] Speaker 4: is disclosure. So what fascinated me really about this man
[13:14] Speaker 4: telling me that he and his friends, back, I think
[13:18] Speaker 4: he said it was the late 70s or maybe the
[13:21] Speaker 4: early 80s, they came up with this plan to, you know,
[13:25] Speaker 4: promote crystals and make it more so that people would
[13:31] Speaker 4: make it more so that To make it better for
[13:34] Speaker 4: people to become more involved, say, at a very personal
[13:40] Speaker 4: level with their stones. So, like I said, I didn't
[13:45] Speaker 4: really care whether his claim was true. Basically, what I
[13:49] Speaker 4: did was I found myself sitting across from someone who
[13:53] Speaker 4: was essentially saying, you know, this ancient legend, it may
[13:58] Speaker 4: not be ancient at all.
[14:00] Speaker 3: And, you know, here's the thing. It didn't destroy my interest.
[14:04] Speaker 3: It really didn't.
[14:05] Speaker 4: It deepened it because then the question for me became,
[14:08] Speaker 4: how does a story become sacred? I mean, how many
[14:13] Speaker 4: generations have to repeat something? before the folklore becomes traditional. And,
[14:21] Speaker 4: you know, can a modern myth carry a psychological truth?
[14:26] Speaker 2: Well, how many of these 13 skulls have been reunited? Well, 30?
[14:31] Speaker 3: I don't know. 30 out of 13? You said 30? Well,
[14:35] Speaker 3: 13 is really, it's like an irresistible number.
[14:47] Speaker 4: It carries associations with lunar cycles, transformation, feminine symbolism, and
[14:56] Speaker 4: Christian imagery through Jesus, Yeshua.
[14:59] Speaker 2: This guy that you mentioned, though, can't have all the skulls.
[15:03] Speaker 2: I'm sure of that.
[15:05] Speaker 5: No.
[15:06] Speaker 4: That's just the point. He was being irreverent about it.
[15:09] Speaker 4: Because there's not 13 crystal skulls, whether they're crystal or
[15:14] Speaker 4: rose quartz or... or granite or, you know, a different
[15:20] Speaker 4: kind of sediment or what have you. The thing is,
[15:24] Speaker 4: is that it was promoting an idea to push something forward,
[15:29] Speaker 4: both to promote capitalism, but also to get people really
[15:34] Speaker 4: interested in what crystals can do for them. And really,
[15:40] Speaker 4: you know, it's really difficult to, to take the skull
[15:44] Speaker 4: imagery and make it irreverent. There's something that happens to us.
[15:51] Speaker 4: I mean, it's like we all have a skull, right?
[15:53] Speaker 4: I mean, it's like, again, it represents that whole mortality
[16:01] Speaker 4: part of it and the sacred essence behind it. Well, okay,
[16:10] Speaker 4: let's consider a wedding ring. So chemically, nothing happens to
[16:14] Speaker 4: the gold during the ceremony, right? But nobody's going to
[16:18] Speaker 4: actually argue that the ring means exactly what it meant
[16:22] Speaker 4: while it was sitting in the jeweler's case. So the
[16:26] Speaker 4: same thing goes with a crystal. We see something, we
[16:29] Speaker 4: walk into a store, but a skull makes it far
[16:34] Speaker 4: more personal.
[16:37] Speaker 2: But these 13 skulls could be scattered throughout the planet, right?
[16:43] Speaker 3: Well, absolutely.
[16:44] Speaker 4: But that's on the presumption, George, that this prophecy is
[16:49] Speaker 4: really a prophecy. Because, you know, my information was that
[16:54] Speaker 4: this was a made-up prophecy in order to promote an idea.
[16:58] Speaker 4: So I've always moved forward from that place because it
[17:03] Speaker 4: felt the most accurate to me, which is why I
[17:06] Speaker 4: began studying skulls.
[17:08] Speaker 1: So.
[17:10] Speaker 3: One of the things that we have to ask.
[17:11] Speaker 4: Ourselves, I mean, this story didn't really become anything until
[17:17] Speaker 4: we started this whole, again, this quote-unquote new age, this
[17:23] Speaker 4: era of new age belief. Now, let's go back to
[17:26] Speaker 4: Humbat's Men, though. Let's go back to my dream and
[17:30] Speaker 4: why it just blew up in my face, and I
[17:33] Speaker 4: had to find out more. So, I had this dream,
[17:37] Speaker 4: and then this man appears who is a real man,
[17:40] Speaker 4: and he has a real practice, and he's a real
[17:43] Speaker 4: Mayan priest. So, I go visit him, and he tells
[17:47] Speaker 4: me what he tells me. So, he has his own teaching.
[17:51] Speaker 3: About crystal skulls.
[17:53] Speaker 4: So we can't ignore the oral tradition of our Indigenous people.
[18:00] Speaker 4: And that, I think, is what becomes very important. So
[18:04] Speaker 4: did the myth persist before, or did it get really
[18:10] Speaker 4: pushed forward after this whole prophecy happened? the marketing behind
[18:17] Speaker 4: the prophecy began. Like, it had to begin somewhere. That's
[18:22] Speaker 4: where everyone that I know of comes up against silence.
[18:30] Speaker 2: Is the Mayan elder, Hombat's men, still alive?
[18:35] Speaker 3: Excuse me. No, no, he's not. He passed away. Oh, gosh.
[18:41] Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. I can't remember. 2012.
[18:48] Speaker 4: No, he passed away after that. I met him in 2011, 2010.
[18:54] Speaker 3: 2016, it says.
[18:55] Speaker 5: Okay.
[18:57] Speaker 4: Yeah, but I have been in contact with Patricia and
[19:04] Speaker 4: Daniel Cardona, and they carry on his tradition.
[19:11] Speaker 2: Well, back to the skulls for a moment. Are you
[19:13] Speaker 2: saying that these 13 skull legends... are not real?
[19:21] Speaker 3: Well, yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying, but that doesn't
[19:24] Speaker 3: make it meaningless.
[19:27] Speaker 4: I mean, because I guess yes and no, because historical
[19:30] Speaker 4: truth and symbolic truth are not identical things.
[19:35] Speaker 3: What I'm saying is that we don't.
[19:37] Speaker 4: Have a meaningful historical basis to fall back on. What
[19:43] Speaker 4: we have is this influx of this supposed prophecy. But
[19:50] Speaker 4: with regard to 13 skulls coming together, there's no real
[19:57] Speaker 4: evidence that that is a true Indigenous prophecy or story.
[20:04] Speaker 4: We know that the skulls themselves are There may be
[20:09] Speaker 4: more than 13. Again, there could be 113. There could
[20:13] Speaker 4: be 13. It's that number. It's the number that causes
[20:19] Speaker 4: people to become really invested in it.
