[0:00] Speaker 1: Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.
[0:05] Speaker 2: And welcome back. George Norrie with you. Author Preston Dennett
[0:08] Speaker 2: began investigating UFOs and the paranormal back in 1986 when
[0:13] Speaker 2: he discovered that his family, friends, and co-workers were having dramatic,
[0:18] Speaker 2: unexplained encounters. Since then, he has interviewed hundreds of witnesses,
[0:22] Speaker 2: investigated a wide variety of paranormal experiences, And he is
[0:27] Speaker 2: a field investigator for the Mutual UFO Network, a ghost hunter,
[0:31] Speaker 2: and a paranormal researcher. His book is called The Healing
[0:34] Speaker 2: Power of UFOs. Preston Dennett, back on Coast to Coast. Preston, welcome.
[0:39] Speaker 3: Thank you very much, George. How are you?
[0:43] Speaker 2: I'm doing fine. Good to have you back with us.
[0:46] Speaker 2: When your family member and friends started having these unexplained encounters,
[0:50] Speaker 2: how did they come to you with the information?
[0:53] Speaker 3: They didn't, actually. And that was what was so upsetting
[0:56] Speaker 3: to me. They were keeping it secret from me. Really shocking.
[1:01] Speaker 3: My brother had had an encounter when I was 13
[1:04] Speaker 3: years old. He was really the only one who came forward.
[1:08] Speaker 3: And at that time, I didn't believe him. It wasn't
[1:11] Speaker 3: until November 17, 1986, there was a very famous sighting.
[1:16] Speaker 3: You probably heard it. Captain Kenji Turochi was and his
[1:20] Speaker 3: crew of JAL Airlines saw a UFO over Alaska. Well,
[1:25] Speaker 3: this made the evening news, and that's what prompted me
[1:28] Speaker 3: to start asking people within my circle of family, friends,
[1:31] Speaker 3: and coworkers how they had an encounter. And I got
[1:35] Speaker 3: a huge shock because I found out that not only
[1:39] Speaker 3: did my brother have an encounter, my sister, several friends,
[1:44] Speaker 3: people at work, about 20, maybe 30% of people I
[1:47] Speaker 3: knew It had some kind of encounter.
[1:52] Speaker 2: But what about yourself? Did you have one?
[1:55] Speaker 3: I did eventually, yeah. Looking back in hindsight, there was
[2:01] Speaker 3: a missing time incident as a young child, but really
[2:04] Speaker 3: my first major encounter occurred about, let me see, six
[2:09] Speaker 3: years into doing research. I was driving home one evening
[2:13] Speaker 3: in 1992, and an orb of light came down in
[2:17] Speaker 3: front of my car I actually stopped the car because
[2:21] Speaker 3: it was right in front of my windshield, went back
[2:24] Speaker 3: and forth two or three times, darted away, and that's
[2:28] Speaker 3: all I remembered. In fact, I forgot the whole encounter
[2:31] Speaker 3: completely for a few months. So I'm pretty sure I
[2:35] Speaker 3: had missing time. And from that point on, I had
[2:38] Speaker 3: four major sightings that year, and it just got a
[2:42] Speaker 3: little bit closer and closer until I've had some pretty
[2:45] Speaker 3: major encounters, yeah.
[2:47] Speaker 2: Do you remember that first time you got involved in
[2:50] Speaker 2: UFO research, Preston?
[2:52] Speaker 3: Oh, I sure do. It was a really... I mean,
[2:56] Speaker 3: I look back on it fondly, but at the time,
[2:58] Speaker 3: it was a very difficult adjustment because I came in
[3:02] Speaker 3: as a skeptic. I did not believe any of this stuff.
[3:06] Speaker 3: I thought anyone who saw UFOs was lying on drugs, crazy,
[3:12] Speaker 3: mentally ill. Of course, I was wrong. I had bought
[3:16] Speaker 3: the Air Force party line kind of hoaxes, hallucinations, misperceptions,
[3:22] Speaker 3: mental illness, imagination that I thought explained all UFO encounters.
[3:28] Speaker 3: So it really kind of collapsed my entire belief system.
[3:31] Speaker 3: I had to readjust everything. Finding out there was a
[3:35] Speaker 3: cover-up was not fun. So yeah, there was a whole
[3:40] Speaker 3: year there that I had a real hard time with this.
[3:43] Speaker 2: Did you originally get into the investigations to prove that
[3:47] Speaker 2: it was all hooah?
[3:51] Speaker 3: Yeah. Although, you know, almost immediately after I sat down
[3:57] Speaker 3: with my brother Marco, my older brother, and he described
[3:59] Speaker 3: his sighting, which was of a metallic disc, classic flying saucer,
[4:05] Speaker 3: very low level, silent, colored lights. He had two friends
[4:11] Speaker 3: with him who I knew well. I could not explain this,
[4:16] Speaker 3: but I did start buying every book I could find,
[4:18] Speaker 3: hoping that I could explain this away as swamp gas,
[4:22] Speaker 3: which of course I couldn't. About a year into it,
[4:26] Speaker 3: I joined MUFON, Mutual UFO Network, and became a field investigator.
[4:32] Speaker 3: And yeah, I mean, the books were very serious on
[4:36] Speaker 3: the subject. I realized I was a late comer to this.
[4:38] Speaker 3: A lot of people were taking the subject very seriously.
[4:43] Speaker 3: So pretty early on, I could tell that I was
[4:47] Speaker 3: wrong and had been wrong and that there was validity
[4:49] Speaker 3: to the subject.
[4:52] Speaker 2: But when you jumped in, you jumped in in a
[4:54] Speaker 2: big way, didn't you?
[4:57] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
[4:57] Speaker 3: You know, not anything I ever expected to be doing.
[5:01] Speaker 3: I thought, you know, I'm going to look into this
[5:05] Speaker 3: and it'll go away and I won't have to worry
[5:07] Speaker 3: about it. Of course, that's not what happened. I ended
[5:11] Speaker 3: up making this my life's work. It's just endlessly fascinating.
[5:16] Speaker 3: And for me, it literally hit home. I found out
[5:19] Speaker 3: that my family is one of the families who's basically
[5:22] Speaker 3: being followed. We know this phenomenon is generational. And that's
[5:28] Speaker 3: certainly true in my own family. Not only do both
[5:32] Speaker 3: my sister-in-laws have had encounters with humanoids, but I have
[5:37] Speaker 3: two nephews who had very close encounters. One saw humanoids
[5:42] Speaker 3: as well. My parents never did admit to anything. I
[5:46] Speaker 3: couldn't ask my mom. It was too late. She had
[5:49] Speaker 3: passed on. But my dad hated this subject with such
[5:53] Speaker 3: a passion that I often wondered if she was keeping
[5:56] Speaker 3: a secret from me. Because when you have that strong
[5:59] Speaker 3: of an emotional reaction, positive or negative, that's kind of
[6:03] Speaker 3: a red flag that something's going on here.
[6:06] Speaker 2: Something's happening with him. What was your home state?
[6:10] Speaker 3: California. I thought maybe that's why. Because California, according to
[6:15] Speaker 3: MUFON and New Fork, has more UFO encounters than any
[6:19] Speaker 3: other state. Washington and Texas are right up there. But
[6:23] Speaker 3: California has the most reported encounters. I thought, well, maybe
[6:26] Speaker 3: there's something about this state. No, of course that's not true.
[6:31] Speaker 3: We now know UFOs are seen everywhere on this planet.
[6:34] Speaker 3: But yeah, California, Southern California was where I basically grew up.
[6:40] Speaker 2: Preston, at what point did you start getting involved in
[6:43] Speaker 2: the UFOs and the healing modalities connected to them?
[6:48] Speaker 3: Very quickly, actually. I mean, for the first 10 years
[6:53] Speaker 3: of getting involved in UFO research, I was reading books.
[6:57] Speaker 3: I was interviewing people. I was going to conventions, writing articles.
[7:03] Speaker 3: And one of my very first cases I investigated involved
[7:06] Speaker 3: a lady who does not want her name used. I
[7:09] Speaker 3: call her Wendy. But she had described how she had
[7:13] Speaker 3: visitations regularly with gray type ETs. And she had come
[7:19] Speaker 3: down with a medical issue where they had diagnosed her
[7:23] Speaker 3: with a cyst in her fallopian tubes. It was causing
[7:28] Speaker 3: her all kinds of problems, a lot of pain, and
[7:31] Speaker 3: she was scheduled for surgery. And the night before surgery,
[7:35] Speaker 3: she had a visitation by her gray folks. And do
[7:41] Speaker 3: you really remember much? But she thought it was kind
[7:43] Speaker 3: of an odd thing that they would come right before surgery. Well,
[7:46] Speaker 3: she went to the doctor the next day for surgery
[7:49] Speaker 3: and they did pre-op imaging as they always do. And
[7:54] Speaker 3: they came back into the room and they looked pretty upset.
[7:57] Speaker 3: They said, you had surgery and she denied it. And
[8:01] Speaker 3: they said, well, we know you had surgery because your
[8:04] Speaker 3: cyst is gone and there's fluid here that's present in
[8:08] Speaker 3: the fallopian tube that's only present after someone's had surgery.
[8:14] Speaker 3: And they examined her. They found this little healed, what
[8:17] Speaker 3: looked like a laser scar on her abdomen. And they said,
[8:21] Speaker 3: you've had surgery. Who did you go to? So at
[8:24] Speaker 3: this point, she's realizing what happened and just kind of
[8:28] Speaker 3: played dumb. But yeah, that was the first case I
[8:32] Speaker 3: ran into. And I always kind of wondered about it
[8:36] Speaker 3: and decided I was going to write an article about
[8:39] Speaker 3: this because I hadn't heard really of many people talking
[8:43] Speaker 3: about this subject. I thought this would make a good
[8:45] Speaker 3: subject for an article. I did know of a few
[8:48] Speaker 3: other cases. Jacques Vallée had a case in France of
[8:52] Speaker 3: a medical doctor. There was another case by Ralph and
[8:55] Speaker 3: Judy Bloom of a Peruvian customs official who had been
[8:59] Speaker 3: healed of rheumatism and nearsightedness. There was another very famous
[9:05] Speaker 3: case in Damon, Texas involving two police officers, one who
[9:09] Speaker 3: was healed of a flesh wound. I thought, yeah, I'll
[9:12] Speaker 3: write an article about this. And I started looking into
[9:17] Speaker 3: the books I have on the subject in the magazines.
[9:19] Speaker 3: I subscribed to the UFO News Clipping Service, which I'm
[9:23] Speaker 3: so glad I did because I found a lot of
[9:24] Speaker 3: cases there. And in the space of about two weeks
[9:28] Speaker 3: of research, I found over 30 cases. Now that's more
[9:32] Speaker 3: than an article can contain. So I thought, you know,
[9:35] Speaker 3: this might.
[9:37] Speaker 1: Be a book.
[9:39] Speaker 3: Because there were so many cases. I did research for
[9:42] Speaker 3: a full year and found over 100 cases, and that
[9:47] Speaker 3: ended up becoming my very first book, which I've since reissued,
[9:51] Speaker 3: because I've now got well over 300 cases. So this
[9:56] Speaker 3: is not as rare as you might think.
[9:58] Speaker 4: And I know you're going to want some after hearing this.
[10:00] Speaker 4: This is an amazing story. We've got Stephen and Malachi
[10:03] Speaker 4: Gregory in Nelson, New Zealand. I understand that Malachi, who's eight,
[10:08] Speaker 4: almost nine years old now, was suffering with not just
[10:11] Speaker 4: one or two warts, but I mean a significant outbreak
[10:14] Speaker 4: of warts all over his body. So significant it impacted
[10:16] Speaker 4: his ability to to really function.
[10:19] Speaker 5: Yeah, he was having trouble even holding a pencil to write.
[10:22] Speaker 5: It was Ty's book actually that got me thinking about it.
[10:25] Speaker 1: I'm not surprised.
[10:26] Speaker 3: It is an amazing immunomodulator.
[10:29] Speaker 6: And so I can see that it would work.
[10:31] Speaker 4: And so at what point did you see that there
[10:33] Speaker 4: was actually improvement is really going to work?
[10:36] Speaker 5: Well, look, we really started to notice it around 12 weeks.
[10:39] Speaker 5: You can see these things actually getting smaller and smaller
[10:43] Speaker 5: and then going down to the where they're just little
[10:45] Speaker 5: red marks, the whole things are gone. And we're talking
[10:48] Speaker 5: about one the size of a walnut. I thought, no
[10:50] Speaker 5: way that's going to.
[10:51] Speaker 1: Wow.
[10:52] Speaker 6: It's just been miraculous to see him get into a
[10:54] Speaker 6: pair of shoes.
[10:55] Speaker 1: Yes.
[10:57] Speaker 3: How wonderful.
[10:58] Speaker 6: It's great to see him so happy and confident.
[11:00] Speaker 4: Absolutely wonderful.
[11:01] Speaker 6: Our friends that have seen it, they're just blown away.
[11:04] Speaker 2: Ty, this is awesome.
[11:05] Speaker 1: Yeah, this is awesome.
[11:06] Speaker 7: Another amazing story.
[11:07] Speaker 4: Why?
[11:08] Speaker 2: We're talking about carnivora.
[11:09] Speaker 7: Call them to awaken your immune system and protect yourself now.
[11:13] Speaker 2: Call 1-866-836-8735.
[11:16] Speaker 7: That's 1-866-836-8735. Or visit carnivora.com. C-A-R-N-I-V-O-R-A. Carnivora.com.
[11:28] Speaker 2: Were they all dramatic cases as well?
[11:32] Speaker 3: I wouldn't... Well, you know, it depends how you look
[11:34] Speaker 3: at it. I wouldn't say so, necessarily. Because some were
[11:38] Speaker 3: feelings of very minor issues. Like the case in Damon, Texas.
[11:44] Speaker 3: These two police officers were driving... along the highway, saw
[11:48] Speaker 3: a UFO. It sent down a beam of light. It
[11:51] Speaker 3: struck one of the officer's arms, Deputy Good. He could
[11:56] Speaker 3: feel the heat from it. He felt tingling. His arm
[11:59] Speaker 3: was hanging outside of the window. Earlier, he had been
[12:02] Speaker 3: bit by his son's baby pet alligator. It had a
[12:06] Speaker 3: wound on his finger, which was not serious, but it
[12:10] Speaker 3: was painful and inflamed. They raced off. They were quite scared.
[12:15] Speaker 3: pulled into a diner and parked, and he realized he
[12:18] Speaker 3: wasn't feeling any pain on his finger. Pulled off the
[12:21] Speaker 3: Band-Aid and the cut was completely healed. So there's quite
[12:24] Speaker 3: a few cases like that of relatively minor conditions, but
[12:29] Speaker 3: all the way from colds to cancer. People healed of
[12:32] Speaker 3: back pain, stomach issues, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease,
[12:37] Speaker 3: a bunch of cancer cases, very serious conditions as well.
[12:44] Speaker 3: So some are really dramatic, and some are just sort
[12:47] Speaker 3: of like, why would they heal this person of a cold?
[12:50] Speaker 2: Well, Preston, like the first case you mentioned, are the
[12:55] Speaker 2: medical professionals baffled?
[12:59] Speaker 3: They are. These cases leave a long line of really upset, often,
[13:07] Speaker 3: doctors and nurses even. Some of these cases are pretty
[13:12] Speaker 3: well-verified cases.
[13:15] Speaker 2: Why would they be upset? Because they don't know?
[13:17] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[13:20] Speaker 3: Often patients are very reluctant to explain how this healing
[13:25] Speaker 3: took place. I'll give you an example.
[13:27] Speaker 1: Do they know?
[13:28] Speaker 6: No.
[13:30] Speaker 3: The patients don't tell them.
[13:33] Speaker 2: No, but do the patients know?
[13:36] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Well, in most cases, yeah.
[13:39] Speaker 2: They do.
[13:40] Speaker 3: There are some people who've been taken on board and
[13:42] Speaker 3: told they were sick. They didn't know it. The ET said, oh, yeah,
[13:46] Speaker 3: you're quite ill. We'll fix you. But usually, I would
[13:51] Speaker 3: say 95% of the cases, the patients are aware of
[13:55] Speaker 3: the healing.
[13:57] Speaker 2: Pretty dramatic, isn't it?
[14:00] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. And a lot more common than people realize.
[14:05] Speaker 3: Because I started researching this subject, and I realized pretty
[14:10] Speaker 3: much every major researcher out there has cases like these.
[14:15] Speaker 3: Because I initially thought this must be rare. But John
[14:18] Speaker 3: Mack has multiple cases. David Jacobs. Bud Hopkins. He never
[14:24] Speaker 3: wrote about it. I had to corner him at a convention.
[14:27] Speaker 3: He says, oh yes, I've got several cases. But Timothy
[14:30] Speaker 3: Green Beckley. Richard and Lee Boylan. Artie Sixkiller Clark. Gordon Creighton.
[14:36] Speaker 3: Barbara Lamb. I mean, all of them. Constance Clear. Tony Dodd.
[14:40] Speaker 3: Ann Druffle. Edith Fiore, Leonard Stringfield, Timothy Goode, Cynthia Hind,
[14:47] Speaker 3: an African researcher. More researchers have these cases than don't.
[14:53] Speaker 3: Jim and Cora Lorenzen, Wendell Stevens. I can go on.
[14:57] Speaker 3: Most major researchers have multiple cases of this kind.
[15:02] Speaker 2: Are the illnesses all kinds too?
[15:06] Speaker 3: Right across the board. In fact, I ended up putting
[15:09] Speaker 3: a list together and it was shocking. because you could
[15:15] Speaker 3: practically name any body part and it's healed. Again, some
[15:21] Speaker 3: very serious conditions and minor ones as well. Angioma, malformation
[15:27] Speaker 3: of the blood vessels in the vein, arthritis, asthma, burns,
[15:32] Speaker 3: lots of cases involving cancer, but Crohn's disease, colds, flus, diabetes, diphtheria, gallstones, fibromyalgia, fever,
[15:44] Speaker 3: just about everything you can think of. Leukemia, paralysis, muscular dystrophy, polio, rheumatism, stroke, tuberculosis.
[15:57] Speaker 3: It's incredible how many different types of cases there are.
[16:00] Speaker 3: Eye problems, dental problems, you name it.
[16:05] Speaker 2: Preston, how does the medical community respond to these incredible
[16:10] Speaker 2: miracles that occur? What do they say?
[16:15] Speaker 3: Well, they'll usually say something like, maybe you are misdiagnosed,
[16:21] Speaker 3: or this is a spontaneous remission that we cannot explain.
[16:26] Speaker 3: Spontaneous remission is a well-verified medical phenomena. Someone will be sick,
[16:31] Speaker 3: and then suddenly they're not, and they can't explain it.
[16:35] Speaker 3: And I wonder if a good number of these cases
[16:38] Speaker 3: that are reported as spontaneous remission are, in fact, intervention
[16:43] Speaker 3: of some kind.
[16:44] Speaker 2: Well, the misdiagnosis excuse, in most cases, I would assume,
[16:49] Speaker 2: the patient has been going to that medical practitioner. So
[16:53] Speaker 2: I don't think they'll talk about misdiagnosis on that case,
[16:56] Speaker 2: would they?
[16:59] Speaker 3: Well, sometimes it does come up, but that's usually their excuse.
[17:03] Speaker 3: I think it depends on the individual. Because, again, they
[17:10] Speaker 3: have a real hard time explaining this. There was one
[17:12] Speaker 3: case I looked into personally involving a gentleman by the
[17:16] Speaker 3: name of Reverend Michael Carter. He's pretty well known in
[17:18] Speaker 3: this field. He was diagnosed with a blood clot.
[17:23] Speaker 2: I think he's been a show guest of ours. He's
[17:26] Speaker 2: been on the program.
[17:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, he's pretty well known. He had a blood clot
[17:30] Speaker 3: in his leg. His leg swelled up to more than
[17:32] Speaker 3: twice its normal size. He went to the doctor. The
[17:36] Speaker 3: doctor was pretty upset with him. He said, you should
[17:38] Speaker 3: have come in much earlier. This is a potentially fatal
[17:44] Speaker 3: condition we're dealing with here. And prescribed him a whole
[17:47] Speaker 3: list of vitamins and prescription medicines to deal with this.
[17:53] Speaker 3: And told him, you need to come in every week
[17:56] Speaker 3: or two. And we'll follow this very closely. But this
[18:00] Speaker 3: is a very serious condition. And he went home, and
[18:04] Speaker 3: it wasn't long after this that he was visited by, well,
[18:08] Speaker 3: we call them Nordics. I don't like that term. I
[18:10] Speaker 3: call them human-looking ETs because they're not all necessarily Nordic
[18:15] Speaker 3: in appearance. These figures that he saw were. He said
[18:19] Speaker 3: that they were about six, seven feet tall, very muscular,
[18:23] Speaker 3: appeared in his bedroom, and held up their hand and
[18:28] Speaker 3: hit him with a beam of light, which caused him
[18:31] Speaker 3: to pass out. And he woke up the next morning,
[18:34] Speaker 3: and his leg was normal size. He said it looked
[18:37] Speaker 3: as if his veins and arteries had been rerouted. And
[18:40] Speaker 3: he went to the doctor just a few days later,
[18:44] Speaker 3: and the doctor was absolutely stunned and asked him what happened.
[18:48] Speaker 3: And again, Michael Carter just kind of played coy, didn't say,
[18:52] Speaker 3: and said, just be happy for me. But yeah, his
[18:55] Speaker 3: doctor was pretty upset. They generally don't react well.
[19:01] Speaker 2: Where do the healings generally occur? In the room the
[19:04] Speaker 2: person's in or aboard the craft?
[19:09] Speaker 3: You have basically a few scenarios going on here. If
[19:14] Speaker 3: it's a very serious illness, like cancer or a major disease,
[19:19] Speaker 3: often people will be taken on board. So you're going
[19:22] Speaker 3: to see about 50% of the cases really take place
[19:27] Speaker 3: on board a craft. But another... Category of about 25%
[19:31] Speaker 3: are when people are just outside walking, perhaps driving around,
[19:37] Speaker 3: a UFO shows up and sends down a beam of
[19:40] Speaker 3: light or circles around their car or something like this,
[19:44] Speaker 3: and they're healed. There's another category, equally about 25%. or so,
[19:51] Speaker 3: where ETs will just come into a person's bedroom and
[19:55] Speaker 3: heal them there. A good example is Jim Law of Gainesville, Florida,
[19:59] Speaker 3: who was suffering from a hernia, and he had lifelong
[20:04] Speaker 3: visitations by gray ETs and wasn't very happy about it, actually.
[20:10] Speaker 3: and had kind of gotten over his fear of it.
[20:14] Speaker 3: But these little greys show up and he says, hey,
