Tonight’s guest, Roger Williams, host of the popular Squatchin’ Holler Podcast, grew up spending countless hours in the woods. A large part of what he knows about the woods is due, in large part, to the things his dad taught him when he was a kid. Due to how much he thought he knew about the woods, Roger used to love venturing deep into the woods any chance he got. Then, one day, he had an experience that changed all that. After having that experience, his view of the woods, and how safe he was in them, changed so much, he stopped doing a lot of the things in the woods he used to do without a second thought. In fact, Roger still hunts, but he refuses to do so in the deep woods now. Now, if he goes hunting, he does so in fields. Not the woods. We hope you’ll tune into tonight’s show and listen to Roger spell out what happened to him that day, that changed his view of the woods, so much. He’s going to talk about that and several other experiences he’s had. [0:01] Speaker 1: If you've had a big foot sighting it would like
[0:02] Speaker 1: to be a guest. Please go to bigfoot witness dot
[0:05] Speaker 1: com and let me know.
[0:08] Speaker 2: Hey everybody, this is Roger Williams. I'm from Louisbourg, Tennessee,
[0:13] Speaker 2: or Marshall County, Tennessee. It's southern Middle So if you're
[0:19] Speaker 2: driving through Nashville head of south, about fifty miles straight south,
[0:23] Speaker 2: twenty two miles or so from the Alabama border, that's
[0:27] Speaker 2: where I grew up at. And as you drive through,
[0:32] Speaker 2: you would notice the ridges that we ran as young
[0:36] Speaker 2: kids and hunters, and we hunted and fished. I thought
[0:46] Speaker 2: for fun, but you know, the seventies they were a
[0:50] Speaker 2: tough time. I didn't realize that we were helping supplement
[0:55] Speaker 2: the grocery bill, and so that's something my dad and
[0:58] Speaker 2: I did. And I grew up out in the country
[1:02] Speaker 2: and from probably seven or eight years old when I
[1:08] Speaker 2: started hunting with him, and pretty quickly I would go
[1:14] Speaker 2: hunt small game by myself. He trusted me. He taught
[1:17] Speaker 2: me the right way to do things, safety and all that,
[1:21] Speaker 2: you know. And at a different time kids, we were
[1:26] Speaker 2: trusted to do more things. Back then. Of course, there
[1:29] Speaker 2: wasn't as many houses around. You know, the population wasn't
[1:33] Speaker 2: as large as it is you know everywhere actually now.
[1:38] Speaker 2: And we you know, growing up here, we learned how
[1:46] Speaker 2: to do you know, we would raise the gardens. My
[1:50] Speaker 2: uncles they were farmers and whatever. So it was more
[1:53] Speaker 2: of an outdoor type life early on, So spending time
[1:58] Speaker 2: in the woods even if I wasn't hunting, being curious
[2:04] Speaker 2: about things and the animals. Even now at my age,
[2:11] Speaker 2: the most enjoyable part of being in the woods and hunting,
[2:17] Speaker 2: it's the being in nature that that's the most peaceful
[2:23] Speaker 2: thing I can do, because I do a lot of
[2:25] Speaker 2: my best thinking, you know, in the woods. So not
[2:31] Speaker 2: having not been a kid that had video games or
[2:34] Speaker 2: Internet of course and all that, I spent a lot
[2:37] Speaker 2: of time by myself. And one day I would, you know,
[2:41] Speaker 2: I'll get bored or whatever, I go either to the
[2:44] Speaker 2: woods and explore, or if I couldn't, I still was
[2:48] Speaker 2: kind of daydreaming and looking at the fields and all that,
[2:52] Speaker 2: and I stepped out. You know, It's perfect timing because
[2:56] Speaker 2: if I've been five minutes before or five minutes later,
[2:59] Speaker 2: I wouldn't be here talking to you guys now, all
[3:02] Speaker 2: these years later. You know, forty years later, I stepped
[3:07] Speaker 2: out into the field looking at the fence roads, looking
[3:11] Speaker 2: for rabbits, crows, deer, you name it. And I didn't
[3:16] Speaker 2: know it, but in a few seconds things were going
[3:25] Speaker 2: to change in a way for me. I couldn't couldn't
[3:30] Speaker 2: have predicted it. And so I'm standing there looking where
[3:36] Speaker 2: I hunted was about two hundred yards up in this field.
[3:40] Speaker 2: It was clear, and there was a hillside that goes,
[3:43] Speaker 2: you say, if you're looking, goes to the right, and
[3:46] Speaker 2: there was a dry creek bed that ran to the
[3:49] Speaker 2: left side, and I hunted around the bend. I couldn't
[3:53] Speaker 2: see that spot from where I was standing. There was
[3:56] Speaker 2: a little elbow of woods that came out and there
[3:59] Speaker 2: was a te three. It had a limb that came
[4:01] Speaker 2: down and kind of, you know, drooped a little bit
[4:04] Speaker 2: and back up. That's that That's an important detail that'll
[4:08] Speaker 2: come up later. But I had seen my dad, you know,
[4:14] Speaker 2: walk from there many times, and something stepped out right
[4:21] Speaker 2: there at that limb and that elbow, And I can't
[4:27] Speaker 2: say the first thing I noticed, because when something that
[4:33] Speaker 2: shapes you the way you think about things and what
[4:36] Speaker 2: you think you know, appears in front of you you're
[4:40] Speaker 2: noticing everything at one time. That's why a lot of
[4:43] Speaker 2: people have trouble. It's mind blowing because yes, of course
[4:47] Speaker 2: you see the all one color from head to toe
[4:51] Speaker 2: you see in the in the I can't tell people, well,
[4:56] Speaker 2: this thing I saw was seven and half foot, and
[4:58] Speaker 2: it probably weighs six or seven hundred pounds, because you know,
[5:03] Speaker 2: I had a reference of the hogs and cattle and
[5:06] Speaker 2: stuff like that weight but distributed in a man's form,
[5:12] Speaker 2: where the one this thing I saw with that athletic
[5:16] Speaker 2: and I think the only thing I've ever seen before
[5:19] Speaker 2: was Patty you know the film. It was really shaky
[5:21] Speaker 2: at the time, and she's like barrel chested and round,
[5:24] Speaker 2: and this was similar. But you take that middle part
[5:29] Speaker 2: and that weight and put it in the shoulders and
[5:31] Speaker 2: you know, and the legs, and so I can tell
[5:36] Speaker 2: you about how big I think it was, which I
[5:39] Speaker 2: have the height down pretty good because of the limb.
[5:41] Speaker 2: We went and measured later, but I can't get across
[5:46] Speaker 2: the mass and the mass that comes along with these
[5:51] Speaker 2: things with bigfoot is mind blowing. I stood beside Tennessee
[5:58] Speaker 2: Titan football players that were, you know, sixty five sixty
[6:02] Speaker 2: six sixty seven two seventy five to three twenty five.
[6:06] Speaker 2: And yes, they're they're they're huge, but if you add
[6:13] Speaker 2: two or three hundred pounds to that frame, that that
[6:16] Speaker 2: weight has to distribute and go to the shoulders and
[6:19] Speaker 2: to the biceps and forms and whatever. So just trying
[6:22] Speaker 2: to paint a picture. When I see this thing step out,
[6:28] Speaker 2: I knew it was massive and way bigger than what
[6:31] Speaker 2: my dad would even think about being. So I almost ran.
[6:38] Speaker 2: To be honest with you, I you know, I froze,
[6:43] Speaker 2: and I don't think I could have run if I
[6:47] Speaker 2: wanted to. And it's really good because Sin send this
[6:54] Speaker 2: massive brown head to toe creature too, lust standing on
[6:59] Speaker 2: two left eggs. Because I couldn't run, I locked in
[7:06] Speaker 2: on a few details, and people asked me, did I
[7:09] Speaker 2: see a face? I'm no, Well, it's like one hundred
[7:12] Speaker 2: and seventy yards but nothing in between us, so I
[7:14] Speaker 2: couldn't make out any details, but I could make out
[7:17] Speaker 2: details of, you know, the actual body and what I
[7:21] Speaker 2: tell people when they asked what color it was, I'm like, okay,
[7:26] Speaker 2: so I Hershey's milk chocolate bar. The Rapper's darker, but
[7:31] Speaker 2: the milk chocolate bar on the inside is a little
[7:33] Speaker 2: bit lighter. That's as close as I can as I
[7:37] Speaker 2: can describe it from from med to toe, no neckline,
[7:41] Speaker 2: no boots, no blue jeans, and it's just standing there.
[7:48] Speaker 2: And I believe because I had hunted the area from
[7:54] Speaker 2: you know, I was fourteen at this time, from eight
[7:56] Speaker 2: years old, I believe now later thinking things had happened,
[8:01] Speaker 2: it knew that I was there. It probably knew I
[8:03] Speaker 2: was no threat. It turned. It's I'm looking at its
[8:07] Speaker 2: right shoulder and it's looking up the hill, and it turns.
[8:13] Speaker 2: It pivots a little bit in the waist and the
[8:16] Speaker 2: shoulders turn, and the head and neck all the head
[8:21] Speaker 2: did turn a little, but it was mostly a torso turn,
[8:26] Speaker 2: and it leaned a little bit deep to the left
[8:29] Speaker 2: and looked my way and immediately turned back looking up
[8:34] Speaker 2: the hill. And it didn't spook like a deer would
[8:38] Speaker 2: have or any other wild animal. It's like it didn't
[8:42] Speaker 2: care that I was standing there. And I don't know
[8:45] Speaker 2: if it was an acknowledgment like hey, I know you're there,
[8:48] Speaker 2: or it was just checking out its surroundings. I'll never
[8:52] Speaker 2: know that part. But what it did where it was
[8:55] Speaker 2: looking up the hill was the quickest point from where
[9:01] Speaker 2: it was standing to get hit again. And there was
[9:05] Speaker 2: an open gate that always stayed open on top of
[9:08] Speaker 2: the hill it was. There were honeysuckles vines growing over it,
[9:12] Speaker 2: and you could, man if you'd have tried to shut it,
[9:14] Speaker 2: I don't believe you could have. But there was an
[9:18] Speaker 2: alfalfa field back there that deer just if any of
[9:23] Speaker 2: you hunters know that alfalfa just draws draws them in.
[9:27] Speaker 2: And I couldn't hunt it, but I could hunt around it,
[9:30] Speaker 2: so you know, we would be back there too. Well,
[9:37] Speaker 2: when it started walking, it was flat for just a
[9:40] Speaker 2: little bit, but then it started up the hill. Now,
[9:43] Speaker 2: now this is why I'm glad I stayed. I couldn't
[9:46] Speaker 2: tell you the ratio of you know, the arms and
[9:49] Speaker 2: the legs. All I knew in a fourteen year old
[9:52] Speaker 2: mind that it didn't look right. It just it didn't
[9:56] Speaker 2: look like us. It wasn't. It was shaped like us
[10:00] Speaker 2: in a way, but it was odd and that could
[10:04] Speaker 2: have been the you know, the orange being longer or whatever.
[10:07] Speaker 2: But what I focused on mainly because I'd walked this
[10:12] Speaker 2: hill so many times and I hated it. I absolutely
[10:15] Speaker 2: hated it. Because the farmer who let me hunt was older.
[10:19] Speaker 2: He was almost ninety years old, and he didn't bush
[10:22] Speaker 2: hoog every year, and so some of this grass on
[10:27] Speaker 2: this hill was regrowth, and then it would die, and
[10:30] Speaker 2: then it regrow again the next year. So it was intertwined.
[10:33] Speaker 2: And it was not the easiest grass to walk through.
[10:37] Speaker 2: Matter of fact, you really couldn't wade through it. You
[10:40] Speaker 2: had to pick your feet up and leaning up hill.
[10:45] Speaker 2: It's kind of funny almost, I don't know how, like
[10:47] Speaker 2: a duck walk almost where you throw your feet out
[10:50] Speaker 2: to the side the way we're built, you know, and
[10:52] Speaker 2: bring it up and over the grass. Same thing with
[10:54] Speaker 2: the left foot up and over the but it's thrown
[10:56] Speaker 2: out to the side and leaning forward and stumbling and
[10:59] Speaker 2: all that. So it was a horrible walk. It was
[11:01] Speaker 2: the quickest. The only reason I did it a few
[11:03] Speaker 2: times was it was the quickest point, quickest way to
[11:08] Speaker 2: that top of the hill. Sometimes if I did that,
[11:11] Speaker 2: normally I would go up the old access road to
[11:14] Speaker 2: the cemetery on top of the hill. Longer walk, but
[11:18] Speaker 2: it was easier. So knowing how I looked or other
[11:24] Speaker 2: people look walking up that hill came into play. When
[11:29] Speaker 2: this thing started up the hill, instead of doing the
[11:33] Speaker 2: feat and leg action like I would. It was. If
[11:37] Speaker 2: any of you, if you don't know, you can google
[11:40] Speaker 2: Tennessee walking horse and watch a video of the Chevyville celebration.
[11:45] Speaker 2: We have the actual headquarters here in Louisbourg. But if
[11:50] Speaker 2: you'll watch a video and watch that walking horse throw
[11:53] Speaker 2: those legs up and over, up and over. This thing
[11:57] Speaker 2: was doing that. It wasn't exaggerated as that, but it
[12:00] Speaker 2: reminded me of that that walk. But it was stepping
[12:04] Speaker 2: over this grass just effortlessly. And you know it would
[12:08] Speaker 2: probably have been need to mint thigh on me. Uh.
[12:14] Speaker 2: This thing was having no trouble, no issues whatsoever. And
[12:18] Speaker 2: the back was straighter than you know, the body lean
[12:23] Speaker 2: I would have had to have had to go on
[12:25] Speaker 2: up this incline. Well, another weird part of this was
[12:31] Speaker 2: the back, the angle of the back. It was straighter
[12:33] Speaker 2: than a human would have done, which made it look
[12:37] Speaker 2: really really awkward. But it was as smooth. I mean,
[12:41] Speaker 2: you hear this all the time now that I've started
[12:44] Speaker 2: a podcast to learn from people years later, you hear
[12:49] Speaker 2: these stories and a lot of the common factors are. Man,
[12:54] Speaker 2: it was really smooth, like it was on skis the
[12:55] Speaker 2: head didn't bolve. Well, it's that's true. And I got
[13:00] Speaker 2: to thinking later, well, you know that gate on a
[13:03] Speaker 2: walking horse. The reason they do that in competition is
[13:07] Speaker 2: so the rider's head stays smooth, and that's how they
[13:10] Speaker 2: judge these these competitions where the rider is like standing
[13:15] Speaker 2: in the stirrups and if their head doesn't bob, then
[13:19] Speaker 2: you know, they may win the Grand Championship. I don't
[13:21] Speaker 2: know the exact rules, but it hit me later that
[13:24] Speaker 2: the way the gate of this it may not have
[13:26] Speaker 2: anything to do with anything, but it was. It was
[13:33] Speaker 2: just smooth. It's hard to explain. So when I hear
[13:37] Speaker 2: people talk about that, I know exactly what they mean.
[13:41] Speaker 2: And the whole encounter. You know, I thought it was short,
[13:46] Speaker 2: but talking to people now, you know more people get
[13:49] Speaker 2: glimpses or they get a Most encounters are accidentally anyway.
[13:55] Speaker 2: The person who sees the bigfoot is surprise and the
[13:57] Speaker 2: Bigfoot is surprised. So you know, it's rarely a long one.
[14:03] Speaker 2: There are some long ones that are terrifying, but mostly
[14:07] Speaker 2: there's a few seconds. Well, I've gone back in my mind.
[14:12] Speaker 2: The way my memory works, it plays like a movie,
[14:15] Speaker 2: back and forth and I've counted, and I'm going to
[14:20] Speaker 2: say my best guestimation is thirty seconds for the total
[14:25] Speaker 2: from the time it stepped out to the time it
[14:27] Speaker 2: went to the top of the hill. Now me, when
[14:33] Speaker 2: I would do that, you know, five minutes going up
[14:36] Speaker 2: that hill would have been a really good time for me,
[14:39] Speaker 2: because one it was steep, and you know, when you
[14:43] Speaker 2: walk on the asphalt and let's say walk five miles
[14:48] Speaker 2: a day, but then you go to grass and you're
[14:50] Speaker 2: using your muscles different, you know, it wears you down
[14:55] Speaker 2: quicker until you train those muscles to walk in grass
[14:58] Speaker 2: or walk on uneven terrain. So this thing, it never
[15:04] Speaker 2: checked up. So, like we say in the South, it
[15:08] Speaker 2: walked up that hill, no problems, no issues, and went
[15:11] Speaker 2: out of sight through that gate up at the top. Now,
[15:18] Speaker 2: needless to say, I didn't know what to do. I
[15:22] Speaker 2: didn't know what to think. I was the type of
[15:26] Speaker 2: kid that would take a two dollars flashlight and go
[15:28] Speaker 2: in the woods an hour before daylight. I was dedicated.
[15:32] Speaker 2: I loved the being in the woods and I loved
[15:34] Speaker 2: out smarting the prey, and naively I thought I was
[15:41] Speaker 2: the king of the woods with my little shotgun. Well
[15:47] Speaker 2: after like one of my friends said, you have the
[15:52] Speaker 2: roger five minutes before he saw bigfoot, and then you
[15:54] Speaker 2: have the roger five minutes after he saw the bigfoot.
[15:56] Speaker 2: And that's a fact. I changed the way I did things.
[16:03] Speaker 2: I became, instead of a deep woods hunter and being
[16:07] Speaker 2: proud of that, to a field hunter. I will go
[16:11] Speaker 2: in the woods, I will hunt woods, but I'm in it.
[16:14] Speaker 2: I make sure I try to find the best spot
[16:17] Speaker 2: where I can see something coming, where I have a
[16:21] Speaker 2: you know, a view all around me where maybe something
[16:25] Speaker 2: can sneak up on me. Whether that would help or not,
[16:28] Speaker 2: I don't know. As big as this thing was, you know,
[16:34] Speaker 2: he's definitely king of the woods or or they are.
[16:38] Speaker 2: So I didn't know what. I didn't know what to do,
[16:41] Speaker 2: but I'm my whole mhm. The way I would do
[16:47] Speaker 2: things from that point on was changed. And I tell
[16:51] Speaker 2: people all the time, I don't know whether I saw
[16:54] Speaker 2: a bigfoot because I'm open minded, or I'm open minded
[16:58] Speaker 2: because I saw a bigfoot, And I really don't know that. Uh,
[17:02] Speaker 2: that's one thing I'm trying to figure out. But I
[17:06] Speaker 2: went I went in the house, and you know, didn't
[17:10] Speaker 2: say anything to anybody. I might have been home by
[17:13] Speaker 2: myself until my mom come in from work and my dad.
[17:18] Speaker 2: I decided to tell him and I said, hey, Daddy,
[17:21] Speaker 2: I needed I need to talk to you. And he said,
[17:25] Speaker 2: what is it? I said, you know, more or less,
[17:29] Speaker 2: the conversation went, I know you might not believe me,
[17:32] Speaker 2: but I think I saw a big foot today. What
[17:35] Speaker 2: you know we're at right up here walking up this hill. Well,
[17:39] Speaker 2: he says, oh, that was probably Beauford. Well he was
[17:43] Speaker 2: the ninety year old neighbor. And I'm like, Daddy, Beufer
[17:46] Speaker 2: can barely make it to the mailbox in back. He's
[17:49] Speaker 2: not walking up this hill like what I what I
[17:51] Speaker 2: saw did well, he laughed, and he was he was
[17:55] Speaker 2: the type of guy you had to show him. And
[17:57] Speaker 2: I explained to him about the branch, and we went
[17:59] Speaker 2: up later because they had something happen maybe a year
[18:03] Speaker 2: and a half. Two years later, something jumped off of
[18:06] Speaker 2: a bank in the dark and landed on two feet
[18:08] Speaker 2: and shook the ground, came running at him and my
[18:11] Speaker 2: mom in the dark. They jumped in the car and left.
[18:17] Speaker 2: He said, every time the foot would hit the ground,
[18:19] Speaker 2: it would kick rocks. As a gravel road, it would
[18:22] Speaker 2: kick rocks to them, and he's screaming at my mom
[18:24] Speaker 2: to get in the car because he knows they're in trouble.
[18:28] Speaker 2: We went back and measured guests measured recently, and the
[18:36] Speaker 2: I think we come up with like thirty five foot
[18:38] Speaker 2: counting the fence, so something breaking trees and limbs and
[18:46] Speaker 2: then jumps, and he said he could hear the leaves
[18:49] Speaker 2: when it left the ground and it landed in the road.
[18:53] Speaker 2: And my mom my dad's not with us anymore. So
[18:55] Speaker 2: I asked my mom, I need, you know, can you
[18:57] Speaker 2: take us up there? And we're drive up there and
[18:59] Speaker 2: you us where it was at when I saw the
[19:02] Speaker 2: bank and the fence. I said, is that pretty much
[19:04] Speaker 2: the same right there? She said, yeah, as far as
[19:06] Speaker 2: I remember, that's that's like it was back then. And
[19:12] Speaker 2: we were looking and we come up with about thirty
[19:15] Speaker 2: five foot jump to the road having to clear the fence.
[19:20] Speaker 2: So anyway, he come in after that and started asking
[19:24] Speaker 2: me these weird questions, like how big was that thing
[19:27] Speaker 2: you said you saw? And I'm like why, He said, well,
[19:31] Speaker 2: just how big was? I said, well, it was you
[19:33] Speaker 2: know that limb And we went up there and so,
[19:36] Speaker 2: give or take it was somewhere between seven and seven
[19:39] Speaker 2: and a half foot. After that, you know, I looked
[19:43] Speaker 2: for footprints and all that, but never never found any.
[19:49] Speaker 2: And after we moved from there, we moved to another
[19:54] Speaker 2: area five miles down the road. And I never had
[19:56] Speaker 2: anything happen for a long time, and I I put
[20:00] Speaker 2: it in the back of my mind, but but I
[20:03] Speaker 2: would go, you know, when YouTube came along, like everybody else,
[20:07] Speaker 2: you know, I live in Tennessee, So first thing I'll
[20:10] Speaker 2: put in is Tennessee and Bigfoot, and then stuff started
[20:14] Speaker 2: popping up, uh, you know, maybe Scott Carpenter in East
[20:18] Speaker 2: Tennessee or or whatever. And then you would go and
[20:21] Speaker 2: it would carve you to this this video in this video,
[20:25] Speaker 2: so I saw that people were talking about it a
[20:28] Speaker 2: little more. But I think my two favorites, of course
[20:34] Speaker 2: was M. K. Davis and then Thinker Thunker. Uh, just
[20:38] Speaker 2: the breakdowns of videos and you know, the the taking
[20:47] Speaker 2: apart and focusing on certain things. I love that. And
[20:51] Speaker 2: I was showing him to my dad here, you need
[20:54] Speaker 2: to you need to watch this. And you know, I
[20:56] Speaker 2: think he was a believer before he passed, and he
[21:00] Speaker 2: probably would laugh right now knowing that I was talking
[21:04] Speaker 2: on a podcast about about bigfoot. So but yeah, it was.
[21:13] Speaker 2: It never goes away, but you deal with it the
[21:17] Speaker 2: best you can. Now, years later, my son was born.
[21:21] Speaker 2: He was probably I don't really remember exactly the age,
[21:23] Speaker 2: but he was in the fourteen fifteen year old age.
[21:28] Speaker 2: And I was cooking lunch one day and he was
[21:32] Speaker 2: in the living room watching YouTube on his phone or something,
[21:37] Speaker 2: and I hear the sound and I freeze. I'm like,
[21:43] Speaker 2: what is that. I'm like, Peyton, what are you doing?
[21:47] Speaker 2: And he's, oh, there's this new show called Finding Bigfoot
[21:50] Speaker 2: and Matt Moneymaker and blah blah blah and this this
[21:55] Speaker 2: is the how it's He recorded a big foot in
[21:58] Speaker 2: the early nineties. And I'm like, whoa, what you just
[22:03] Speaker 2: played is supposed to be a bigfoot? He said yeah.
[22:07] Speaker 2: I said, play at it again. He plays it again.
[22:12] Speaker 2: I get full body chills. Play it again, and he
[22:17] Speaker 2: played it three or four times for me. He said,
[22:19] Speaker 2: what's wrong, Daddy. I'm like, we've got to talk. I said,
[22:24] Speaker 2: I've heard that at least a half a dozen times,
[22:27] Speaker 2: and so now I'm going back and you know, I've
[22:31] Speaker 2: never felt a sound before. Later in life, you know,
[22:34] Speaker 2: you go to a concert or whatever and you feel
[22:38] Speaker 2: the music you feel all that. Well, I never found
[22:40] Speaker 2: felt a sound before until one morning before daylight. I
[22:45] Speaker 2: don't know what I was doing. I was outside, maybe
[22:48] Speaker 2: feeding the chickens or something before school, and in that
[22:53] Speaker 2: same area, I was talking about the alfalfa field in
[22:56] Speaker 2: the woods and all that. This company they started strip
[23:01] Speaker 2: mining for phosphate and they were tearing the woods up.
[23:04] Speaker 2: I mean they were. You could hear them working back
[23:08] Speaker 2: there or whatever. And I heard this scream and it
[23:15] Speaker 2: was coming at me. What I mean, the sound was
[23:17] Speaker 2: coming at me. Now we shoot and I understand the
[23:21] Speaker 2: speed of sound and all this stuff or whatever. Well,
[23:24] Speaker 2: this sound hit me and went through me. And it
[23:28] Speaker 2: had to be at least five hundred yards maybe seven
[23:31] Speaker 2: hundred yards away, which is pretty impressive. And I had
[23:38] Speaker 2: heard that was the first time. And then after that,
[23:40] Speaker 2: you know, and I being outside playing I used to
[23:42] Speaker 2: like star stargaze. I didn't know what I was looking at,
[23:45] Speaker 2: but every now and then you'd see a falling star
[23:48] Speaker 2: and that was worth it. So hear a scream or
[23:51] Speaker 2: whatever and run in and my dad, oh, that was
[23:55] Speaker 2: probably whatever. Well, okay, we'll go with that. Well, anyway,
[24:00] Speaker 2: so that introduced my son to my story and some
[24:03] Speaker 2: other things that happened, and then I really started digging.
[24:10] Speaker 2: I started watching the shows, and I realized early on,
[24:13] Speaker 2: like most people, that some of the TV shows, they
[24:15] Speaker 2: were mostly for entertainment, but they gave out a little info,
[24:21] Speaker 2: you know, and we kind of owe them a little
[24:26] Speaker 2: bit because if it hadn't been for those shows early on,
[24:31] Speaker 2: we wouldn't be doing this because it would still be
[24:34] Speaker 2: a subject that she probably wouldn't feel comfortable talking about.
[24:38] Speaker 2: So it normalized it enough to let some of the
[24:42] Speaker 2: less hardcore people come out of the woodwork and tell
[24:46] Speaker 2: their stories. I think, so, you know. I told my
[24:51] Speaker 2: son about hearing the screams, and we watched they show
[24:55] Speaker 2: one time about infrasound and some animals that did that,
[25:00] Speaker 2: and I told him my story about one day I
[25:02] Speaker 2: froze and I was going hunting in the snow. I
[25:05] Speaker 2: was looking forward to it, which it's rare here in
[25:07] Speaker 2: southern Middle Tennessee to have a day that you can
[25:10] Speaker 2: hunt in the snow. And I've done it a couple
[25:13] Speaker 2: of times, and I just loved it because it's peaceful,
[25:15] Speaker 2: everything quiets down. But where I would go in to
[25:20] Speaker 2: where my tree stand was at that point I couldn't.
[25:23] Speaker 2: It looked dark, it felt ominous. I froze and I
[25:28] Speaker 2: got this jittery feeling in my torso and I couldn't
[25:33] Speaker 2: step forward. I tried. I tried it through four times,
[25:35] Speaker 2: and I couldn't make myself take a step forward. And
[25:39] Speaker 2: I've always listened to my gut, and it's if I
[25:42] Speaker 2: had a few times, I wouldn't be here today. But
[25:48] Speaker 2: you know, I'm thinking, this is crazy, Roger, You're you're crazy.
[25:54] Speaker 2: This is not real. So after not being able to
[26:02] Speaker 2: step in my mind, I don't know what made me
[26:05] Speaker 2: think to do this, I said in my head. I
[26:08] Speaker 2: did it, not out loud. I said, if you'll let
[26:10] Speaker 2: me go, I'll turn around my right foot walk back
[26:15] Speaker 2: to the house and I won't come back today. And
[26:17] Speaker 2: it's like, whether it's power, suggestion or whatever. I was released,
[26:24] Speaker 2: and you bet, you can bet I did exactly what
[26:26] Speaker 2: I promised, went back my mom and dad, what are
[26:29] Speaker 2: you doing back so early? Oh? It was too cold
[26:32] Speaker 2: out there, and went and did something else. I didn't
[26:34] Speaker 2: put it together back then like what it could have been.
[26:38] Speaker 2: There's a few other things too, But it's kind of
[26:41] Speaker 2: like I said, learning and reverse, you know, you start
[26:45] Speaker 2: getting this information and you hear people bring it up,
[26:47] Speaker 2: and well, that's maybe that was something to do with that.
[26:50] Speaker 2: Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, who knows. And then
[26:55] Speaker 2: I didn't think about it too heavy. And my son
[26:58] Speaker 2: got a new place to hunt and some of his family,
[27:02] Speaker 2: and even though his mom and I are divorced, where
[27:05] Speaker 2: everybody's still close, and they said I could come with him,
[27:09] Speaker 2: because you know, you don't want to be by yourself.
[27:11] Speaker 2: I mean, it's not smart to go hunting by yourself.
[27:14] Speaker 2: I've done it, and he does it. But if you
[27:15] Speaker 2: can carry somebody with you, it's always a good idea.
[27:18] Speaker 2: So I just go for for the just the opportunity
[27:22] Speaker 2: to be with him, spend time with him, get up early,
[27:25] Speaker 2: do what me and my dad used to do, you know,
[27:27] Speaker 2: just a dad and sonthing, kind of a tradition. But
[27:32] Speaker 2: it was a few weeks before opening day and I'm like, hey,
[27:35] Speaker 2: we need to I said, you know anything about the place?
[27:37] Speaker 2: He said, well, no, I don't. Well we need to
[27:39] Speaker 2: go scout and check out the food, horses, the water sources,
[27:43] Speaker 2: you know, the normal, the normal stuff. And everything's fine
[27:51] Speaker 2: until we get to one hillside. We just started up
[27:56] Speaker 2: the hardwoods, but there was a few cedars. It is
[28:00] Speaker 2: a little bit rocky, not too bad. It was. It's
[28:04] Speaker 2: one of those transition type woods where you've got on
[28:07] Speaker 2: further back you have all hard woods. Over here, you
[28:11] Speaker 2: have you know, some cedars or whatever, and then around
[28:14] Speaker 2: the edge it's all seeds. It was like a transition
[28:17] Speaker 2: right there. And I noticed a tree break about five
[28:24] Speaker 2: and a half foot There's a tree about four inches
[28:29] Speaker 2: in diamond or maybe, and it's just snapped and there's splintered.
[28:33] Speaker 2: It's splintered. Whatever broke it broke it like a number
[28:37] Speaker 2: two pencil, you know, just a high pressure snap. And
[28:40] Speaker 2: it's the tops laying there. It's still attached by a few,
[28:44] Speaker 2: you know, a few fibers. And I look at it
[28:48] Speaker 2: and I don't say anything, and I'm looking around. I'm like,
[28:53] Speaker 2: what broke this? There are no other big limbs that
[28:56] Speaker 2: fell on it. There are no scuffs on the tree.
[28:59] Speaker 2: There's not a tractor, it's not a piece of equipment.
[29:04] Speaker 2: That's not wind damage at all. And because anything that
[29:11] Speaker 2: would have broke that hardwood like that, a lot of
[29:14] Speaker 2: these other trees would have been on the ground too.
[29:17] Speaker 2: So I'm quietly assessing the situation, and all of a sudden,
[29:22] Speaker 2: this thought comes into my head. Of some of these
[29:25] Speaker 2: documentaries I watched, I was like, is that what they're
[29:28] Speaker 2: talking about? A marker, you know as a tree break?
[29:31] Speaker 2: I seem to remember something about that. Well, I have
[29:35] Speaker 2: my phone in my pocket and it's set to in
[29:40] Speaker 2: my shirt pocket and it's set to trigger with me saying,
[29:44] Speaker 2: you know the command that we all say with the apple,
[29:49] Speaker 2: and we weren't saying anything. We weren't talking about. I
[29:51] Speaker 2: had pointed that out to my son and he looked
[29:53] Speaker 2: kind of confused. He's really good at investigating and picking
[29:57] Speaker 2: up on things, and we have our own little sign
[29:59] Speaker 2: language out in the woods. So we're looking around. I
[30:05] Speaker 2: decide to take a step up the hill. When I
[30:09] Speaker 2: stepped one step up the hill sideways kind of past
[30:14] Speaker 2: that marker, my phone triggers and says, I don't quite understand. Well,
[30:20] Speaker 2: we're not hunting, but we're in hunting mode. And I
[30:26] Speaker 2: immediately grab my pocket and start to pull this phone out.
[30:31] Speaker 2: When I do, I barely see it. Out of the
[30:33] Speaker 2: corner of my eye. Something moved, but it was a
[30:36] Speaker 2: rock and it was about double fist size. Now my
[30:39] Speaker 2: son's looking up the hill towards it. It comes out
[30:45] Speaker 2: of these cedar bushes, small trees and lands, and it's
[30:51] Speaker 2: a it's it's not a it's not a baseball throw.
[30:53] Speaker 2: It's a softball toss, if that makes sense. And it
[30:57] Speaker 2: arcs and it hits another, it hits road, hits another,
[31:01] Speaker 2: rock bounces down the hill towards us, and the cedar
[31:04] Speaker 2: trees are only like twenty yards away. So at that point,
[31:11] Speaker 2: with all three of these things, the tree break my
[31:14] Speaker 2: phone doing whatever's crazy stuff it was doing, and then
[31:18] Speaker 2: this rock throw, the rock throw happened. That changed old
[31:21] Speaker 2: situation because whatever through the rock had our thumbs. So
[31:26] Speaker 2: it's either somebody crazy back there that shouldn't be there,
[31:29] Speaker 2: and why they would be back there, who knows. It's
[31:32] Speaker 2: rural as you can get if any of you ever
[31:35] Speaker 2: been to Jack Daniel's Distillery and you go back through
[31:39] Speaker 2: all those hills back in there. We were in the middle.
[31:42] Speaker 2: We were north of there, but we were in the
[31:44] Speaker 2: middle of some of the most dense would you in
[31:49] Speaker 2: the most rural woods you could think of. And so
[31:55] Speaker 2: I'm thinking, you know, I've got my son here. He's
[31:57] Speaker 2: old enough to take care of himself. Of course, we're
[32:01] Speaker 2: armed because we're scouting, and I'm thinking the first thing
[32:07] Speaker 2: I think is don't run. I don't want to trigger
[32:08] Speaker 2: a response from anything. Why that thought popped in my head,
[32:12] Speaker 2: I don't know, but I don't think I was quick
[32:16] Speaker 2: enough for him, because he says, are we just going
[32:20] Speaker 2: to ignore the fact? And we had a rock thrown
[32:22] Speaker 2: at us? So he broke the silence, and I'm like, no, Peyton,
[32:28] Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of what the next move should be.
[32:30] Speaker 2: I said, I don't think we need to run at all.
[32:32] Speaker 2: He's no, no, no, no, We're not going to do that.
[32:35] Speaker 2: I said, well, let's turn towards it, back down real easy,
[32:42] Speaker 2: and then let's go to the truck, and we talk
[32:43] Speaker 2: about this when we get in the truck. So we
[32:46] Speaker 2: had no idea what that was. And we've had tree
[32:52] Speaker 2: breaks on this property, we've had sounds, and just this
[32:56] Speaker 2: last first day of hunting season, I've had hip hip issues.
[33:00] Speaker 2: So he drove me to a spot and he got
[33:03] Speaker 2: me a chair out, folded out, and I sat in
[33:06] Speaker 2: a spot. And it's close to where we found an
[33:09] Speaker 2: X made out of cedars, and amongst other things that's happened.
[33:17] Speaker 2: But we usually when we leave, we stay all day.
[33:21] Speaker 2: We carry you know, Mr E's or whatever, and water
[33:24] Speaker 2: and whatever. So it was a long day and my
[33:27] Speaker 2: hip was hurting this before my surgery, and I'm we're
[33:32] Speaker 2: leaving and retired. It's getting close to the dark. And
[33:34] Speaker 2: we don't stay there either because of things we've had happen.
[33:39] Speaker 2: We know there's something there, but we usually talk and
[33:45] Speaker 2: make noise because we don't want to walk up on
[33:47] Speaker 2: something by accident. Well, we forgot, and so on the
[33:51] Speaker 2: way out, I'll just go ahead and say it. We
[33:54] Speaker 2: spooked one and it was to our left. No, sorry,
[33:58] Speaker 2: it was to our right, going down the hill in
[34:02] Speaker 2: a dark Uh. It really it was dark over there
[34:05] Speaker 2: because the way the sun was going down, and it
[34:08] Speaker 2: was light enough. We had green grass and in the
[34:11] Speaker 2: field we were in going down, I had a flashlight
[34:13] Speaker 2: my hand, but I didn't need it yet. I could
[34:16] Speaker 2: see where I was going, but in those woods you
[34:18] Speaker 2: couldn't see. And so we've been doing this long enough
[34:22] Speaker 2: now that you recognize things pretty quickly. We scared one.
[34:31] Speaker 2: It was very big and it turned a quarter turned.
[34:34] Speaker 2: I heard the feet shuffle in the weight of the
[34:37] Speaker 2: feet and it shut. It turned towards us, and it
[34:41] Speaker 2: let out a hoff growl air expelled as like, and man,
[34:48] Speaker 2: it was right there, forty yards away maybe, And my
[34:51] Speaker 2: son starts up with a gun, their deer rifle. And
[34:54] Speaker 2: I put my hand on the scope and I said,
[34:57] Speaker 2: you know what we've been told about that? He said,
[34:59] Speaker 2: I was just want to look the of the scope.
[35:00] Speaker 2: I said, nude, don't point that gun over there. And
[35:04] Speaker 2: he said, what was that? I said, Peyton, you know
[35:06] Speaker 2: what that was. I said, there's nothing else that could be.
[35:09] Speaker 2: You know, if for sure wasn't a possum, because it
[35:13] Speaker 2: sounded like it weighed, you know, a thousand pounds and
[35:18] Speaker 2: and nothing else makes that noise. We've heard it, but
[35:20] Speaker 2: we've heard this before. We got in a situation. I'll
[35:23] Speaker 2: tell that here in a little bit. We've heard that before,
[35:27] Speaker 2: but it was more of a surprised type. It wasn't
[35:30] Speaker 2: a mad reaction, I don't think. And I learning what
[35:37] Speaker 2: I've learned from people and researchers. I held up my
[35:41] Speaker 2: right hand, showed my palm. I said, hey, hey, we're leaving,
[35:47] Speaker 2: you know, we're sorry, and we turn and walk off.
[35:51] Speaker 2: Didn't hear anything else. If I'd have done that with
[35:53] Speaker 2: a deer or something that ran well that whatever this was,
[35:57] Speaker 2: which we pretty much know what it was, that stayed
[35:59] Speaker 2: put and we walked out and we're talking about it.
[36:04] Speaker 2: Of course you're listening to make sure it's not following.
[36:07] Speaker 2: And Peyton he's like, you know, we're five years into
[36:10] Speaker 2: this now of actually getting out, and you know, I
[36:12] Speaker 2: don't want to say researching, investigating. He said that it
[36:17] Speaker 2: is getting the word don't scare me anymore. I'm like,
[36:19] Speaker 2: you know, I had the same reaction now. The first
[36:23] Speaker 2: time it happened was terrifying, but now it's got to
[36:28] Speaker 2: the point where it we haven't felt threatened there. So
[36:35] Speaker 2: and you know, you you listen, Vick, you listened to
[36:40] Speaker 2: one of my episodes where Kevin made the comment, you know,
[36:44] Speaker 2: I figured, it's always if it's there, it's always been there,
[36:48] Speaker 2: and if it hadn't hurt me by now, it's not
[36:49] Speaker 2: going to. So he continued to hunt and fish as
[36:52] Speaker 2: a kid. Well that's the kind of way we figure it.
[36:54] Speaker 2: But we're still careful, you know. And we talked about
[36:59] Speaker 2: it on the way out and I said, it is
[37:02] Speaker 2: strange from the first time we started doing this to
[37:05] Speaker 2: now how we react. I mean, maybe it's because we've
[37:13] Speaker 2: learned things. We've learned what not to do. That's a
[37:15] Speaker 2: big thing to learn what not to do. But the
[37:19] Speaker 2: first time that happened to us. My wife's family has
[37:25] Speaker 2: about one hundred and thirty acres on the north end
[37:27] Speaker 2: of the county. It's over close to the Duck River.
[37:30] Speaker 2: It's really close to where several sightings have happened over
[37:33] Speaker 2: the years that I found out recently, Heaven sighting was
[37:37] Speaker 2: you know the crow flies just a few miles from there.
[37:41] Speaker 2: You got the train tracks not far away. You've got
[37:44] Speaker 2: the river, You've got all the crevices and caves and
[37:49] Speaker 2: water sources and plenty of places to hide or travel
[37:54] Speaker 2: travel ways. We didn't have anything happen. We would just
[37:58] Speaker 2: go sit out and enjoy it, start a fire or whatever.
[38:01] Speaker 2: But we started we started having things that happened. And
[38:08] Speaker 2: Peyton and I got and I've got this on the
[38:10] Speaker 2: video and I've had people break down the audio. And
[38:15] Speaker 2: it was with the phone. It wasn't with a recorder,
[38:17] Speaker 2: so you know how hard that is, and the the
[38:20] Speaker 2: phone and the recorder doesn't do it justice. So how
[38:22] Speaker 2: loud everything was. This was terrifying. We went in and
[38:28] Speaker 2: we were gonna, you know, we've been learning and some
[38:32] Speaker 2: people say gift. You talk to some of my Native
[38:36] Speaker 2: American friends, I say, carre to tobacco. Give an offering,
[38:40] Speaker 2: you know, or whatever. Some people give different items or whatever.
[38:46] Speaker 2: We had we had some fruit, some apples and stuff, oranges,
[38:51] Speaker 2: and we had had a lot of stuff happen and
[38:56] Speaker 2: I think we wore out our welcome is actually what happened.
[39:01] Speaker 2: And we walk in and it had been drizzling rain
[39:06] Speaker 2: the night before, so the leaves the forest floor was
[39:08] Speaker 2: you know, very good for sneaking, I mean as a hunter,
[39:12] Speaker 2: which it wasn't hunting season. It was in the late
[39:15] Speaker 2: February early March when the leaves were still off the trees,
[39:20] Speaker 2: but it was perfect for stalking. Well, when we walked in,
[39:24] Speaker 2: we spooked up like seven deer and I mean you
[39:27] Speaker 2: could see them. They were no more than twenty five
[39:29] Speaker 2: thirty yards away. They didn't make a sound, they were
[39:32] Speaker 2: running through there. Didn't hear them. And we get to
[39:37] Speaker 2: this the spot that looks like a good tree right there,
[39:41] Speaker 2: and we brought a rake with us and the plan
[39:45] Speaker 2: was it was to rake a big circle of leaves
[39:48] Speaker 2: and exposed dirt, really big circle so if something stepped in,
[39:54] Speaker 2: whether it was a raccoon or whatever, squirrel whatever, to
[39:57] Speaker 2: get the fruit, that we would have tracks unless you know,
[40:01] Speaker 2: let you know, a squirrel will come down the tree,
[40:03] Speaker 2: but you know, anything else would leave a track. Hopefully
[40:08] Speaker 2: we'd planned to head and we were armed again, and
[40:12] Speaker 2: people like, well, if you go armed, you know they
[40:14] Speaker 2: don't like guns and you shouldn't do that. And they
[40:18] Speaker 2: know your intentions. Well, okay, if they know my intentions
[40:22] Speaker 2: and his intentions, then we all should be good. Because
[40:25] Speaker 2: before we go in, we let it be known we're
[40:28] Speaker 2: not here to cause any trouble. There are things in
[40:32] Speaker 2: the woods that are very small that like to bite folks,
[40:35] Speaker 2: and I don't like to be bit, and I will
[40:39] Speaker 2: get away or stand away or whatever. But that's mainly
[40:42] Speaker 2: for our protection. You can run up on a wild
[40:46] Speaker 2: hog or anything and mama and being bad trouble. So
[40:53] Speaker 2: we were there and I don't remember what happened first,
[40:58] Speaker 2: but Vic this will it was a good fifteen to
[41:01] Speaker 2: twenty minutes. But what happened during that fifteen to twenty
[41:05] Speaker 2: minutes gave me a new respect for these things. Not
[41:13] Speaker 2: only were we being distracted at twelve o'clock. We had
[41:18] Speaker 2: screams from the little one, I believe, And when I
[41:21] Speaker 2: say this, this is from researching and finding out stuff.
[41:26] Speaker 2: Now we think it was the little one was farther
[41:28] Speaker 2: off at a safer distance. And we've got those four
[41:32] Speaker 2: screens on audio and got some people that put on
[41:36] Speaker 2: spectrograumd that it supposedly fits in that range, or it
[41:40] Speaker 2: possibly could be you know, bigfoot. Well, but we get
[41:48] Speaker 2: something behind us also that comes in later. But I
[41:53] Speaker 2: believe the mom was throwing a fit thirty five forty
[41:57] Speaker 2: yards just out of out of where we could. You know,
[42:00] Speaker 2: it's really thick over there. So in the video you
[42:03] Speaker 2: can say, well, that's twenty five yards to that, that's
[42:06] Speaker 2: thirty five that's forty forty five. So this is before
[42:11] Speaker 2: so some of it might have been fifty yards away
[42:13] Speaker 2: in the woods. It was not too far. But what happens.
[42:19] Speaker 2: The first thing is a tree snap, green sapling, and
[42:24] Speaker 2: when that happens, it's louder than a gun. We snapped
[42:29] Speaker 2: to attention because nothing had fallen. This was just a break,
[42:36] Speaker 2: and we look at each other like we weren't expecting this.
[42:41] Speaker 2: I was hoping to do our thing during the day
[42:43] Speaker 2: and maybe at night something come in and take the fruit.
[42:47] Speaker 2: But we had been going we'd been going through four
[42:51] Speaker 2: times a week for like three weeks because so much
[42:54] Speaker 2: had happened. We kind of got cooked in, you know,
[42:58] Speaker 2: a little little little too trust and I guess so
[43:06] Speaker 2: we could hear this thing grab one end. You could
[43:11] Speaker 2: hear me on the video and say listen, because you
[43:13] Speaker 2: could hear it pick up a log, a dead log
[43:19] Speaker 2: or fallen tree. I don't know what size it was,
[43:23] Speaker 2: but you could hear it pick it up. But you
[43:25] Speaker 2: can also hear it pull a drag it to it,
[43:29] Speaker 2: and then it would swing it and hit another tree
[43:33] Speaker 2: and it wud thud, because you know, dead wood on
[43:35] Speaker 2: live wood is not a crack. It with thud. And
[43:39] Speaker 2: then the end that was out past the tree when
[43:42] Speaker 2: it hit with helicopter through the woods. You hear it
[43:45] Speaker 2: hitting limbs and it would bounce out through the woods
[43:49] Speaker 2: and we're looking at each other like ohh and but
[43:53] Speaker 2: I'm not really really scared yet because you know, I've
[43:56] Speaker 2: got a gun and he's got one. But we're just
[44:02] Speaker 2: we're not moving. And you can hear on the video too.
[44:08] Speaker 2: Peyton said that sounded like a boulder and it did.
[44:10] Speaker 2: It sounded like a boulder went flying through the trees again,
[44:14] Speaker 2: slapping limbs, hitting the ground and bouncing. And I'm talking
[44:18] Speaker 2: about weight thirty forty fifty pounds, and I don't mean
[44:22] Speaker 2: a few feet, I mean twenty thirty foot. This thing travels.
[44:29] Speaker 2: And now I'm going to give y'all a warning if
[44:32] Speaker 2: you ever go watch that on my video. I apologize
[44:36] Speaker 2: because something happened that made me. I said some dirty word,
[44:39] Speaker 2: says some ugly words, and the guy that did the
[44:43] Speaker 2: sound took it out for me. But there's one that
[44:45] Speaker 2: I left it up because it's the raw video and
[44:51] Speaker 2: I'm not proud of it. But what caused it was
[44:55] Speaker 2: this thing was working up. It was working up to
[45:01] Speaker 2: it was mad. And I asked my friend Greg, because
[45:04] Speaker 2: he has a lot of stuff happened there in Alabama.
[45:07] Speaker 2: He said, have you ever heard one pace in a circle?
[45:10] Speaker 2: He said, oh, yeah, he said when they get mad,
[45:13] Speaker 2: and he said, you heard that on that Yeah? I did.
[45:15] Speaker 2: I said I shouldn't have, and you can hear on
[45:17] Speaker 2: the video there's something's walking over it and we shouldn't
[45:20] Speaker 2: be able to hear it because we didn't hear those
[45:22] Speaker 2: deer and they were right in front of us, and
[45:23] Speaker 2: they wasn't even trying to be quiet. I could hear
[45:26] Speaker 2: the footfalls. Now you know it's walking in a circle. Well,
[45:29] Speaker 2: what it's doing. I guess it's mad. And it turned
[45:38] Speaker 2: towards us and it let out the biggest huff ground
[45:43] Speaker 2: first one I ever heard. But the amount of error
[45:46] Speaker 2: that came out of those two nostrils was a moment
[45:53] Speaker 2: that it was worse than seeing one that when I
[45:59] Speaker 2: was fourteen, because I've got my son with me, we're
[46:04] Speaker 2: away from the truck. Now I've got something massive that's
[46:08] Speaker 2: not happy. And I'm like, oh no, just just like,
[46:13] Speaker 2: oh what have I done? And we look at I
[46:16] Speaker 2: told Peyton I don't and Vic, I don't know where
[46:18] Speaker 2: it comes from. Maybe from talking to people. I said, Peyton,
[46:22] Speaker 2: clear your mind. And with that and I didn't say
[46:26] Speaker 2: anything tell him to do this. But you could see
[46:28] Speaker 2: in the video he lays his gun against the tree
[46:31] Speaker 2: closest to it, and I say out loud, we're not
[46:35] Speaker 2: here to hurt you. We're just curious and we don't
[46:38] Speaker 2: want to be hurt either, you know, And just let
[46:42] Speaker 2: it be known. And Vic out of all this whole
[46:45] Speaker 2: ordeal of this happening, you know, And a lot of
[46:48] Speaker 2: that happened more than once. The boulder throws the logs
[46:52] Speaker 2: against the trees with more than once. After I said
[46:56] Speaker 2: that out loud in the woods, we have one more
[46:59] Speaker 2: tree snap. And it was loud, almost like an acknowledgement,
[47:03] Speaker 2: like all right, then, you know, don't mess with us. Well,
[47:07] Speaker 2: during that time, I forgot to tell this part. During
[47:10] Speaker 2: that time, I told Peyton, I just got this feeling.
[47:12] Speaker 2: I said, look behind this. I mean, I said, you know,
[47:16] Speaker 2: I don't know if this thing's distracting us or what's
[47:18] Speaker 2: going on, but you need to keep check on our backside.
[47:22] Speaker 2: He turns around and it's probably high thirties low forties
[47:29] Speaker 2: temperature and drizzalem rain, so it's moist and kind of cool.
[47:35] Speaker 2: You know, we're dressed for it. He turns around, and
[47:39] Speaker 2: this kid doesn't exaggerate at all. Matter of fact, he'll
[47:44] Speaker 2: undertell a story before he'll exaggerate. He said, oh no,
[47:48] Speaker 2: I said, what is it? He said, you ain't gonna
[47:50] Speaker 2: believe this. He said, we're about twenty yards back there.
[47:52] Speaker 2: I just saw something a little like a heat wave
[47:55] Speaker 2: go from left to right and it crossed in front
[47:57] Speaker 2: of that beach tree right there. You know, they have
[47:58] Speaker 2: a lighter color bark crossed in front of that beach
[48:02] Speaker 2: tree and it was big. I'm like, or what are
[48:05] Speaker 2: you saying? Are you saying it that you couldn't see
[48:08] Speaker 2: it but you could see it? He said yeah, he
[48:10] Speaker 2: said it was wavy looking. I'm like, oh, so that's
[48:14] Speaker 2: kind of when I'm like, we need to try something
[48:16] Speaker 2: here and let these things know that we're not trying
[48:18] Speaker 2: to hurt them. So we went through that ordeal and
[48:24] Speaker 2: we got out of it, and his girlfriend kind of
[48:28] Speaker 2: caught her bluff one night. She didn't think any of
[48:30] Speaker 2: this stuff was true, and she's had two things happen
[48:35] Speaker 2: at two different times. Now. She won't talk about it.
[48:38] Speaker 2: She talked about it at a meet and greet where
[48:40] Speaker 2: with all bigfoot people, but she will absolutely not talk
[48:43] Speaker 2: about it. But she would tell you it's one of
[48:45] Speaker 2: the loudest sounds she's ever heard in her life, if
[48:48] Speaker 2: she you know, she told some of our friends. But
[48:51] Speaker 2: we had something to step out and scream at us
[48:53] Speaker 2: one night. She scared of the dark anyway, and it's
[48:57] Speaker 2: maybe thirty yards behind us in the field, nothing between us,
[49:01] Speaker 2: and I talked to Cumbo Baker about it, and he's
[49:06] Speaker 2: very valuable to me. I've been allowed into the circle
[49:11] Speaker 2: and they know that I'm trying to learn, and so
[49:15] Speaker 2: I can talk to him and ask him questions with
[49:17] Speaker 2: his all of his experience. This is the reason why
[49:20] Speaker 2: I believe Cumbo, because I was talking to him backstage,
[49:25] Speaker 2: maybe it's on somebody's show or whatever, and I was
[49:27] Speaker 2: explaining to him what happened to us, went through this explanation,
[49:32] Speaker 2: and he said, Roger, did it sound like this? And
[49:36] Speaker 2: he screamed out and I looked at him. I'm like, yes,
[49:41] Speaker 2: it did, and so matter nonchalantly, matter of fact, he thought, well,
[49:46] Speaker 2: that was a that was a young juvenile male. Blah
[49:48] Speaker 2: blah blah blah blah blah. I'm oh, wait a minute.
[49:52] Speaker 2: At that time, I hadn't been thinking juvenile. This is
[49:56] Speaker 2: a lot to take in. You know, you start out bigfoots.
[50:00] Speaker 2: There's one big foot, like one Godzilla, and it's on
[50:03] Speaker 2: the West Coast, and Godzilla's in Japan, and you're a kid,
[50:06] Speaker 2: and you're like, okay, that's a long ways. I'm good.
[50:08] Speaker 2: Then all of a sudden it's in foul, Arkansas. Then
[50:10] Speaker 2: all of a sudden, it's in you know, Kaleoka, tennessee
[50:13] Speaker 2: down here that people are talking about it, and I'm like,
[50:16] Speaker 2: you know, then it starts to get a little too
[50:19] Speaker 2: close to home. So yeah, so all of this is
[50:27] Speaker 2: a slow process of learning. But I had no idea.
[50:30] Speaker 2: And then what what makes me believe him is he
[50:34] Speaker 2: copied it exactly, and I couldn't explain it to you.
[50:38] Speaker 2: If I explained it to you to make you picture
[50:41] Speaker 2: how it sounded, it would be so gruesome that you
[50:46] Speaker 2: really don't want to explain you but you can think
[50:48] Speaker 2: about it's almost it was male, almost human at first,
[50:55] Speaker 2: and then almost like an excruciating scream. But it went
[51:00] Speaker 2: so high and so loud, and it lasted, its tailed
[51:03] Speaker 2: off and it lasted. I asked Peyton how long was that?
[51:07] Speaker 2: He said, I don't know, six or seven seconds. I'm like,
[51:09] Speaker 2: you sure, one, eight or nineties, Dad, that's a long time.
[51:12] Speaker 2: I know it is. You know what we're talking. You
[51:14] Speaker 2: know this is after the fact, you know, But you
[51:17] Speaker 2: know his girlfriend jumps in the jumps out of the
[51:19] Speaker 2: chair and runs and locks everybody of the truck. That's
[51:23] Speaker 2: why I always carry keys with me, because you don't
[51:24] Speaker 2: never know who's gonna uh uh uh. We call it
[51:30] Speaker 2: abandon you. So yeah, it's it's it's been a lot
[51:35] Speaker 2: of stuff happened, and we found tracks. I'm going to
[51:40] Speaker 2: do a show. Actually I don't know when this will air,
[51:43] Speaker 2: but actually tomorrow night. So if this airs later, y'all
[51:47] Speaker 2: can go back and look at it. I had no
[51:50] Speaker 2: idea about some tracks that was found in LBL and
[51:54] Speaker 2: me and my wife went up there and the water
[51:58] Speaker 2: was down, hadn't rained in two months, and rained a
[52:03] Speaker 2: little bit the night before, so I wasn't even thinking
[52:06] Speaker 2: about bigfoot tracks. I was just wanting to see. There'll
[52:08] Speaker 2: be two and a half hours from the south end
[52:12] Speaker 2: entrance there, and I'd heard all these wild stories. So
[52:15] Speaker 2: the way we went. It was two Thanksgivings ago, the
[52:20] Speaker 2: Tuesday that week, and we go to this one bay
[52:26] Speaker 2: and there's no water hardly, just a little in the middle,
[52:28] Speaker 2: and I'm like, are those tracks out there? And my
[52:31] Speaker 2: wife she can't see too well. And I think that's
[52:33] Speaker 2: why she married me, because it's her vision. I don't
[52:37] Speaker 2: want her to get her eyes fixed, but you know,
[52:40] Speaker 2: but you know, I got lucky on that end, but
[52:45] Speaker 2: I believe those are tracks. I went out there with
[52:47] Speaker 2: my poor Man's GoPro and I found almost over thirty
[52:51] Speaker 2: tracks and there's large ones, eighteen inch, there's fourteen inches,
[52:56] Speaker 2: and there's a bunch of little ones and whatever. And
[52:58] Speaker 2: I got all that on video and I came back
[53:00] Speaker 2: and we put it on the show. After that show,
[53:03] Speaker 2: I started getting messages, Hey, you you do know about
[53:08] Speaker 2: the read Noble trackway right, And I'm like, I don't
[53:11] Speaker 2: know what you're talking about. And they're like three years
[53:13] Speaker 2: ago we all found and we casted them. There was
[53:15] Speaker 2: a lot of them. There was a big one and
[53:18] Speaker 2: there was fourteen inches, and there were smaller ones. And
[53:20] Speaker 2: it was in the same location three years, probably almost
[53:23] Speaker 2: three weeks' difference in the time of year. And I'm like,
[53:29] Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about. And so they
[53:31] Speaker 2: started getting all these pictures and I'm like, wow, that's
[53:35] Speaker 2: those Is this the same family? You know, it's like
[53:40] Speaker 2: crazy confirmation. You know, You're like this, this is to me,
[53:46] Speaker 2: it's amazing. And I want to expose that to people
[53:49] Speaker 2: because people always said, where's the proof, where's the proof, Well,
[53:52] Speaker 2: it's out here on these little shows. It's just the
[53:54] Speaker 2: new wave of people come in. Every couple of years
[53:56] Speaker 2: and you don't know to go look for it. So
[53:59] Speaker 2: I'm going to have a couple of people on tomorrow
[54:01] Speaker 2: night that one of the guy that was there and
[54:05] Speaker 2: found them, and then one of the ladies that went
[54:07] Speaker 2: and got the plaster of Paris, and tell the story,
[54:10] Speaker 2: show the pictures, and to direct them to the documentary
[54:13] Speaker 2: on it. And then I'm gonna have a part two
[54:16] Speaker 2: with some people were there that you got the DNA
[54:19] Speaker 2: that tried to get all that. So I'm gonna get
[54:21] Speaker 2: different perspectives. I think it needs to be told. I
[54:23] Speaker 2: think people need to know about this evidence that's actually
[54:28] Speaker 2: out there, and they're always wanting to know where it's at.
[54:31] Speaker 2: So I want to do my small part and direct
[54:35] Speaker 2: the new batch of people to this stuff. You know.
[54:37] Speaker 2: So anyway we found those tracks got made fun of
[54:42] Speaker 2: because I didn't cast any other and I'm not look
[54:44] Speaker 2: by myself. If I'd had one hundred pounds to cast
[54:47] Speaker 2: the material, you still would have no tracks. Because Ol'd
[54:49] Speaker 2: Rods was gonna after seeing all this, and I was,
[54:52] Speaker 2: you're talking about vulnerable seeing these massive tracks and you're
[54:56] Speaker 2: out here eighty yards from the truck and I can't
[54:58] Speaker 2: you know, I'm not a speech. So I did, uh
[55:03] Speaker 2: the best I could to document it on video. And
[55:05] Speaker 2: I get back to the truck, now, Vick. I get
[55:08] Speaker 2: back to the truck, and when I left, the windows
[55:11] Speaker 2: were down. My uh, my wife and Heather and the
[55:15] Speaker 2: honey and my dog were in the truck. Why pull
[55:18] Speaker 2: on the door? Hand on? I can't get in, and
[55:19] Speaker 2: I don't have keys or anything. They're all on the truck.
[55:21] Speaker 2: I'm like, what are you doing? She unlocked. She get in.
[55:24] Speaker 2: What's what's going on? She said, while you were out
[55:26] Speaker 2: there looking at those tracks, there's a rock come out
[55:31] Speaker 2: of the woods back here. But it sounded like about
[55:33] Speaker 2: the size of a golf ball and bounced and went
[55:35] Speaker 2: under the truck. And I locked the door, road the
[55:38] Speaker 2: windows up. I'm like, you know, that's uh, that's probably
[55:41] Speaker 2: a good time to blow the horn. Because I didn't
[55:44] Speaker 2: have my phone with me or anything. Let me know
[55:46] Speaker 2: something's up. Uh. And so she had that experience, and
[55:52] Speaker 2: she's been around a lot of this long enough to
[55:55] Speaker 2: know that you know, it was either somebody or it
[55:59] Speaker 2: was one of them that I'm out here looking at
[56:02] Speaker 2: their tracks or whatever. So anyway, we found we found tracks.
[56:06] Speaker 2: I got called out on there was a cow killed
[56:08] Speaker 2: in a strange way in uh North Lincoln County. Here
[56:14] Speaker 2: we found four fresh tracks in the creek. We found
[56:17] Speaker 2: a bone yard. I asked the guy, I said, you
[56:19] Speaker 2: got horses missing. We've never had horses. How long do
[56:22] Speaker 2: your family been here? Almost sixty years? Never had horses? No,
[56:27] Speaker 2: my son, you ever had any pigs? No, you ever
[56:31] Speaker 2: had this? You ever had that?
[56:32] Speaker 1: No?
[56:32] Speaker 2: Why dude, We're sitting there looking at horse skulls and
[56:35] Speaker 2: hogs calls and all these bones, and you're not like
[56:40] Speaker 2: you don't have any missing, you know, since some of
[56:43] Speaker 2: them are older, but not sixty years old. You know,
[56:46] Speaker 2: by then they're they're pretty much the rats and mice
[56:49] Speaker 2: and squirrels. They will eat all of it for calcium.
[56:52] Speaker 2: And I found it was a canine skull. I don't
[56:55] Speaker 2: know if it's CODI or what. But it was cracked
[56:57] Speaker 2: down the center, like where's something get access to the
[57:00] Speaker 2: meat inside. But it wasn't. It wasn't it wasn't crushed
[57:03] Speaker 2: in with a rock or a hammer. It's like something
[57:06] Speaker 2: took two hands and opened it like a clam, you know,
[57:09] Speaker 2: right down in the center. And we and we found
[57:15] Speaker 2: some evidence and some ambush points and all kinds of stuff,
[57:20] Speaker 2: and we scared the guy so bad. We don't have access.
[57:23] Speaker 2: We can't go back, and I didn't take any pictures
[57:26] Speaker 2: and video. I got one, but not of the boneyard.
[57:30] Speaker 2: We were going to come back. He's like, yeah, y'all
[57:32] Speaker 2: come back anytime. But then after we started telling them
[57:35] Speaker 2: all this stuff, we can't go back. So that's word
[57:39] Speaker 2: of advice to some of y'all. You might not ever
[57:40] Speaker 2: get access again, so get what you can when you can.
[57:43] Speaker 2: But we found tracks and banking national forests behind a
[57:50] Speaker 2: friends in cave. Absolutely nobody goes down there. That's the
[57:57] Speaker 2: first tracks I actually found. My son and I were
[57:59] Speaker 2: to get and it was a It was a small one.
[58:03] Speaker 2: It looked like a baby. There was some big tracks
[58:07] Speaker 2: that walked out of the save woods there down the bank,
[58:11] Speaker 2: and the river was down, so it gave us a
[58:14] Speaker 2: lot of area to search, but we didn't have to
[58:16] Speaker 2: search long. The bigger tracks were there. Then all of
[58:21] Speaker 2: a sudden, these small tracks appeared and I'm looking at
[58:25] Speaker 2: them and all like Peyton, these just appeared out of nowhere.
[58:29] Speaker 2: He said, yeah, I noticed that. I said, look at
[58:32] Speaker 2: look at how these does that look like something was
[58:35] Speaker 2: sat down and mashed evenly all the way down in
[58:39] Speaker 2: that mud. Come up. It's not like a step. You
[58:42] Speaker 2: think that was a little one, you know, on the
[58:44] Speaker 2: mom's back or shoulder or whatever. And it he said,
[58:47] Speaker 2: you know what, he said, that that that looks that
[58:51] Speaker 2: kind of what that looks like. And then it walked
[58:53] Speaker 2: down to the edge of the river and rested its
[58:55] Speaker 2: right foot on a little rock. In its left foot
[58:59] Speaker 2: h little cute little feet with toes. And then there's
[59:02] Speaker 2: a place that looked like the mom sat down. And
[59:04] Speaker 2: we're not we're not researchers, so to speak. We're investigating stuff,
[59:09] Speaker 2: and we take pictures and all that. Now now, since
[59:13] Speaker 2: then my son has the light our out on his phone,
[59:17] Speaker 2: which is amazing. You can you can take a scan
[59:19] Speaker 2: of whatever. Well, I wish we had all that. Then
[59:23] Speaker 2: in that spot where it looked like the mom may
[59:25] Speaker 2: have laid down there a little bit resting, we found
[59:29] Speaker 2: three fingers, small fingerscrapes like fingertips through it, like the
[59:34] Speaker 2: little one had been there playing and just kind of
[59:36] Speaker 2: when the mom got up, just kind of raked its
[59:39] Speaker 2: fingers across. And it's no doubt what it was. I
[59:42] Speaker 2: just don't know. What did it? But it's in a really,
[59:45] Speaker 2: really hot spot, and I and recently, I'll tell this.
[59:51] Speaker 2: I haven't told this a lot because you know, I
[59:56] Speaker 2: saw the one walking when I was fourteen. I never
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: thought i'd ever see another one because it's just so rare.
[1:00:05] Speaker 2: And people are like, yeah, you know, I've heard paid.
[1:00:08] Speaker 2: I had people say you've had too much stuff happened
[1:00:10] Speaker 2: to you. I want, well, look here's the way I
[1:00:13] Speaker 2: look at it. If Vick you told me it's Roger,
[1:00:15] Speaker 2: I'll give you a thousand dollars if you catch a
[1:00:17] Speaker 2: five pound bass within the next two days. Well, I'm
[1:00:20] Speaker 2: not going in here and fishing in my tub. I'm
[1:00:23] Speaker 2: going to go somewhere where their five pound bass probably
[1:00:26] Speaker 2: and try to catch one. Well, these experiences we've had
[1:00:30] Speaker 2: or have been in the land between the Lakes Bangkad
[1:00:33] Speaker 2: National Forest here on the southern rim of the dimple
[1:00:37] Speaker 2: of the universe, they call this ridge system. The lle
[1:00:40] Speaker 2: is at the Nashville Basin, and this ridge system is
[1:00:43] Speaker 2: a circle. You can see it from space. It goes
[1:00:45] Speaker 2: above Nashville comes around. And I found out there's been
[1:00:48] Speaker 2: a lot of activity over a lot of years through
[1:00:50] Speaker 2: here and up there and all around. So I kept
[1:00:56] Speaker 2: this to myself for a while, and then I you know,
[1:01:00] Speaker 2: I've got I've got friends that will ask great questions
[1:01:04] Speaker 2: and they hold you accountable. And I told them what
[1:01:07] Speaker 2: I saw, and I finally come to terms what it was.
[1:01:12] Speaker 2: And I was working with a company that delivered people
[1:01:16] Speaker 2: to doctors visits and stuff like that. These two ladies
[1:01:21] Speaker 2: will go to dialysis three times a week. It was
[1:01:23] Speaker 2: my turn to do the morning run. And so this
[1:01:29] Speaker 2: van we drive, You're sitting up like a mini bus.
[1:01:32] Speaker 2: So the seat's really high and the windows are really huge. Okay,
[1:01:36] Speaker 2: if I'd been in my car, in our truck or whatever,
[1:01:38] Speaker 2: I never would have seen this thing. So we're driving
[1:01:42] Speaker 2: going to Murray County over in that area, and the
[1:01:46] Speaker 2: drive through is your Nalli Land Preserve. It's a few
[1:01:51] Speaker 2: thousand acres. I don't know exactly how many it is,
[1:01:55] Speaker 2: but I've heard reports from there. And if you get
[1:02:00] Speaker 2: into this, you know, you're talking to people and stuff,
[1:02:02] Speaker 2: but you're always when you're an area like that, you're
[1:02:04] Speaker 2: always looking. Now I'm not downtown, I'm not I'm not looking,
[1:02:09] Speaker 2: but I get in an area like that, I'm you know,
[1:02:10] Speaker 2: head on a swelvel. You know, it's it's it's just
[1:02:13] Speaker 2: getting daylight. It's it's cold, hard frost on the ground.
[1:02:18] Speaker 2: And you know the the green grass pruty and has
[1:02:21] Speaker 2: that white hard frost on it, and how everything's just
[1:02:24] Speaker 2: frosted over. Well, that's the way it was this morning.
[1:02:27] Speaker 2: And it's still hasn't got full daylight yet. And I'm
[1:02:30] Speaker 2: talking to the lady to my right and I'm driving.
[1:02:33] Speaker 2: There's a guardrail, but we're setting up. The road is up.
[1:02:36] Speaker 2: You know, there's a there's some flat lands and they've
[1:02:40] Speaker 2: got they've got this road built up, and the hunt
[1:02:43] Speaker 2: land is on the left and right side it's it's
[1:02:46] Speaker 2: public land. And there's an opening in the woods here
[1:02:51] Speaker 2: that you can see this green field and it's it's
[1:02:56] Speaker 2: it's got that white color to it, the white greenish color,
[1:02:59] Speaker 2: and vic I lok on to it. It's about forty
[1:03:03] Speaker 2: yards from where I'm at and it's off down in
[1:03:06] Speaker 2: there to where like I said, I couldn't see it
[1:03:09] Speaker 2: if I'd been in my vehicles, but in this van,
[1:03:12] Speaker 2: it was perfect. The view was perfect. And the first
[1:03:15] Speaker 2: thing I saw it is the the pointed hit at
[1:03:22] Speaker 2: the top. I thought it was a hoodie I thought
[1:03:24] Speaker 2: it was a person in a hoodie, but that didn't
[1:03:28] Speaker 2: make sense. That was hunting season. But this thing didn't
[1:03:32] Speaker 2: have orange, It didn't have a rifle, it had no
[1:03:36] Speaker 2: hunting clothes. This thing was black. I don't know how
[1:03:39] Speaker 2: I can describe it. It looked like it was absorbing
[1:03:43] Speaker 2: all the light, so to speak. It was so black
[1:03:47] Speaker 2: that and I'm sure that the contrast against that field
[1:03:52] Speaker 2: in that icye grass helped that somewhat. But it was
[1:03:58] Speaker 2: just the darkest black you've ever seen. But the face,
[1:04:02] Speaker 2: a little bit of the face, the chest area, and
[1:04:06] Speaker 2: the belly. I thought, I get a five second look
[1:04:10] Speaker 2: at this. I lock onto it. The left foot is
[1:04:14] Speaker 2: facing twelve o'clock towards the road. The right foot is
[1:04:16] Speaker 2: two o'clock like it maybe if it needed, you know,
[1:04:20] Speaker 2: to get away really fast, And I take this mental
[1:04:25] Speaker 2: movie pictured away. My mind works, and I'm driving down
[1:04:29] Speaker 2: the road and I'm talking to this lady and I
[1:04:30] Speaker 2: stop and I picked back up talking to her. But
[1:04:35] Speaker 2: then I ended the conversation and I'm thinking, and when
[1:04:38] Speaker 2: I saw it, I got a really sick feeling in
[1:04:43] Speaker 2: my stomach. I really got nauseous. It was something hit me,
[1:04:48] Speaker 2: you know, I don't know whether I in my mind,
[1:04:51] Speaker 2: in my heart I knew what it was, I didn't
[1:04:53] Speaker 2: think i'd ever see another one, or I don't know
[1:04:55] Speaker 2: what it was, but it hit me hard, and so
[1:05:01] Speaker 2: looking back on it, I believe I saw a pregnant
[1:05:05] Speaker 2: female because it looked like it had a great backpack,
[1:05:09] Speaker 2: you know, on the front, which didn't make sense. And
[1:05:12] Speaker 2: I talked to some of my research friends about it
[1:05:15] Speaker 2: and went through and then but the siding factor was
[1:05:20] Speaker 2: I didn't know. I didn't have a size comparison. There
[1:05:23] Speaker 2: was nothing out there in that field. I was driving
[1:05:26] Speaker 2: through one day and just a little way from that spot,
[1:05:29] Speaker 2: there was a normal sized person walking down the road
[1:05:33] Speaker 2: beside that guardrail. And when I saw that person there
[1:05:36] Speaker 2: at that guardrail, I was like, oh no, this thing
[1:05:39] Speaker 2: was big, you know. And so that gave me the
[1:05:41] Speaker 2: final piece I needed. And now, you know, I've hardly
[1:05:46] Speaker 2: said anything about this because I have a Bigfoot podcast
[1:05:52] Speaker 2: YouTube channel, so I've been accused, and all of us
[1:05:56] Speaker 2: have been accused of making stuff up. I'm not gonna
[1:05:59] Speaker 2: do that because it only hurts all of us that
[1:06:04] Speaker 2: are have really had experiences at all you're doing when
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: you make stuff up. So if I'm taking time to
[1:06:10] Speaker 2: explain to you what I saw, I saw it and
[1:06:12] Speaker 2: whatever you think about it, I'm okay with it. I mean,
[1:06:15] Speaker 2: I'm putting it out there. You decide it's not gonna
[1:06:18] Speaker 2: hurt my feelings, but you know, but anyway, so I'm
[1:06:22] Speaker 2: counting that as number two. And I never thought that
[1:06:26] Speaker 2: I would that would ever happen again. And it's just
[1:06:31] Speaker 2: We've had so much happen. I've got I've got audio
[1:06:36] Speaker 2: we have of course, I don't have any pictures. That's
[1:06:42] Speaker 2: one of the hardest things in the world to do.
[1:06:44] Speaker 2: I mean, if you told, if I told somebody, now, hey,
[1:06:48] Speaker 2: I want you to go tomorrow, and I want you
[1:06:50] Speaker 2: to go over in this woods give me a good
[1:06:51] Speaker 2: picture of a squirrel. How many people are gonna come
[1:06:53] Speaker 2: back with a with their phone and have me a
[1:06:56] Speaker 2: good picture of a squirrel. It can happen, but it's
[1:06:59] Speaker 2: it's very hard. I mean, I can't even get my
[1:07:02] Speaker 2: puppy stand still long enough to get up the picture
[1:07:04] Speaker 2: of So when something happens to you, thought one of
[1:07:08] Speaker 2: my friends said, people would say, I always say, well,
[1:07:10] Speaker 2: why white in you get pictures? He said, you know
[1:07:13] Speaker 2: you can go down here to the Birmingham Zoo, and
[1:07:16] Speaker 2: you can have the nicest camera there there ever was
[1:07:19] Speaker 2: ever made, and you can stand out there and take
[1:07:22] Speaker 2: pictures of lines and gorillas and get all the pretty pictures. Said,
[1:07:28] Speaker 2: but if I throw you in that cage with that
[1:07:29] Speaker 2: line or that gorilla, how many pictures you're gonna get?
[1:07:33] Speaker 2: He said. That's the difference, He said, when you're when
[1:07:35] Speaker 2: you're in a position to where you're fearing for your
[1:07:40] Speaker 2: life and you have something big enough that could just
[1:07:42] Speaker 2: tear you and have if it wanted to, which I
[1:07:46] Speaker 2: don't think most of them want to. I think they're
[1:07:49] Speaker 2: like us. There's there's good and bad and all things,
[1:07:53] Speaker 2: and and I think there's different types in the in
[1:07:56] Speaker 2: the country. Uh so, yeah, it's there's I could talk
[1:08:02] Speaker 2: for a few days on this, but that sighting in
[1:08:08] Speaker 2: nineteen eighty five changed the way I think about things.
[1:08:15] Speaker 2: If if you come and tell me you saw some
[1:08:20] Speaker 2: of the weirdest things, I have no right to doubt you.
[1:08:24] Speaker 2: I can ask you questions, I can try to gather
[1:08:28] Speaker 2: information and make my own decision. But some of the
[1:08:30] Speaker 2: stuff I've seen I'm not even gonna get into. The
[1:08:32] Speaker 2: paranormal and the UFOs and the orbs that and the
[1:08:36] Speaker 2: thing is most of the things that's happened to me,
[1:08:39] Speaker 2: I've had witnesses or I've got you know, audio and stuff.
[1:08:43] Speaker 2: So I'm not doing this to try to be the
[1:08:47] Speaker 2: one that's going to prove to people. I'm doing this
[1:08:53] Speaker 2: to learn, and I'm doing this to give people an outlet,
[1:08:57] Speaker 2: like I got to get it off. My says, get
[1:09:00] Speaker 2: get it, get it out there, and doing our show,
[1:09:06] Speaker 2: we come from a position I think we make people
[1:09:09] Speaker 2: comfortable where we already know it's it's it's real, So
[1:09:13] Speaker 2: we we're not judging. We're not sitting back, you know,
[1:09:18] Speaker 2: and trying to get the information that would prove it
[1:09:21] Speaker 2: to us. So if that makes sense to you, Like
[1:09:24] Speaker 2: if I talk to somebody that's a doubter, you're automatically
[1:09:28] Speaker 2: on alert that they're going to make fun of you
[1:09:31] Speaker 2: or whatever. So those are my sightings, uh, And the
[1:09:35] Speaker 2: more intense moments, there's a lot of regular stuff that
[1:09:39] Speaker 2: I've learned, like the rock clacks, the mouth pops with
[1:09:43] Speaker 2: the residents. I can tell the difference between a tree
[1:09:46] Speaker 2: smack and a mouthpop because and learning from some of
[1:09:51] Speaker 2: the really great people I've been lucky enough to meet.
[1:09:55] Speaker 2: They'll tell you how to tell the difference and you
[1:09:57] Speaker 2: can hear it, so you know without taking up your
[1:10:04] Speaker 2: podcast time for a whole week. That's that's where I'll
[1:10:09] Speaker 2: leave all that. If you if you have questions, you know,
[1:10:13] Speaker 2: shoot them.
[1:10:14] Speaker 1: I do have a question for you. You told us
[1:10:17] Speaker 1: that your sighting changed you from being a deep woods
[1:10:20] Speaker 1: hunter to being a field hunter. But you go on
[1:10:25] Speaker 1: research outings now to try and find sasquatch. How can
[1:10:29] Speaker 1: you do that if you fear them. I'm not judging you.
[1:10:31] Speaker 1: I'm just a little confused on that right.
[1:10:35] Speaker 2: So I'm gonna be up front. O. Our bigfoot outings,
[1:10:40] Speaker 2: air quotes are really close to the truck and we
[1:10:43] Speaker 2: don't go really deep into the woods. Uh Now, when
[1:10:47] Speaker 2: we went to look at that Man's land, we went
[1:10:51] Speaker 2: during the day and we went up in the woods
[1:10:54] Speaker 2: for a little bit, but we were real, real careful.
[1:11:02] Speaker 2: We will go in the woods now, but it's not
[1:11:05] Speaker 2: an hour before daylight, hour after dark type thing. When
[1:11:09] Speaker 2: we go to the land in the North End. A
[1:11:12] Speaker 2: lot of times we just sit in the truck and
[1:11:15] Speaker 2: we have recorders out or whatever, or I'll go play
[1:11:17] Speaker 2: them before dark. The crazy encounter that happened with the
[1:11:26] Speaker 2: huff growl and the throwing boulders was no more than
[1:11:30] Speaker 2: seventy yards into the woods out of the field that
[1:11:32] Speaker 2: we usually, you know, have our fires and stuff. So
[1:11:35] Speaker 2: what's funny about that place? On the right side of
[1:11:38] Speaker 2: the field. There's hardly anything that happens over there. But
[1:11:43] Speaker 2: on the left side those woods, I guess it's the
[1:11:46] Speaker 2: getaway there, getaway options for them, you know. And with
[1:11:52] Speaker 2: the LBL, I was in the truck when I spotted
[1:11:56] Speaker 2: the tracks. Now we did camp out there, but there
[1:12:00] Speaker 2: was one hundred something people on camping, so I figured
[1:12:03] Speaker 2: the odds were I'm able to get to the truck before.
[1:12:06] Speaker 2: You know, I was quicker than some of the people
[1:12:08] Speaker 2: out there. But it's it's not an easy thing to do, VIC.
[1:12:12] Speaker 2: It's it's it's it's a face your fears type thing.
[1:12:16] Speaker 2: And the more you learn about these things, and when
[1:12:22] Speaker 2: I say, the more we learned, all I know is
[1:12:25] Speaker 2: what's happened to me. What I truly know. I have
[1:12:28] Speaker 2: people I trust to tell me the truth, or there's
[1:12:31] Speaker 2: books that I read I'm trusting that author to tell
[1:12:34] Speaker 2: me the truth. But all I really know, and all
[1:12:37] Speaker 2: you really know, and all this research over here really
[1:12:40] Speaker 2: knows is what's happened to them. So but I've got
[1:12:45] Speaker 2: a little bit more peace of mind about them because
[1:12:53] Speaker 2: of the people and the education that I've gathered. But
[1:12:59] Speaker 2: it's not an easy thing. I mean, when when we're
[1:13:01] Speaker 2: walking out and we miss time a little bit and
[1:13:03] Speaker 2: it's really dark on us. It's not my most favorite
[1:13:07] Speaker 2: thing in the world. So it's still there. But sometimes
[1:13:13] Speaker 2: sometimes you get caught, you know, out there. But I
[1:13:17] Speaker 2: just I'm not gonna I definitely am not gonna do
[1:13:20] Speaker 2: like a two mile trek in and camp somewhere. I
[1:13:23] Speaker 2: want to be close to something that I can, you know,
[1:13:28] Speaker 2: leave the place. But yeah, that's so when we do
[1:13:31] Speaker 2: our investigations, it's not like we go eight miles into
[1:13:35] Speaker 2: the Sierrada.
[1:13:38] Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, that definitely does make a difference. And
[1:13:42] Speaker 1: I don't blame you. I understand we're about out of
[1:13:46] Speaker 1: time here.
[1:13:47] Speaker 2: Roger.
[1:13:47] Speaker 1: Before we get out of here, please promote the heck
[1:13:50] Speaker 1: out of your podcast, Squatching the Haller.
[1:13:52] Speaker 2: Now, yeah, y'all find me. Y'all can find me on YouTube.
[1:13:58] Speaker 2: It's Squatching Holler. It's at our Dodger In nineteen seventy one.
[1:14:05] Speaker 2: You can go in there and search that. I have
[1:14:07] Speaker 2: some videos, some shorts, and a bunch of live shows.
[1:14:11] Speaker 2: Go check it out. If you like it, subscribe. And
[1:14:14] Speaker 2: I know we're probably not for everybody. We're not professional,
[1:14:18] Speaker 2: we don't edit much. It's just us doing our thing
[1:14:21] Speaker 2: and just give it a shot. Hope you enjoy it,
[1:14:24] Speaker 2: and we would be proud to have you as part
[1:14:27] Speaker 2: of the chat family when we go live. We have
[1:14:29] Speaker 2: really good chat sessions and a lot of people are
[1:14:32] Speaker 2: like family now and we've met a lot of them
[1:14:34] Speaker 2: at meet and greets. So just give us. You know,
[1:14:37] Speaker 2: I'm on TikTok, but I mean it's the same thing.
[1:14:40] Speaker 2: You find me the same way. But I really put
[1:14:44] Speaker 2: it more into my channel on YouTube than I do
[1:14:48] Speaker 2: any other thing. Hopefully one day we can do some podcasts,
[1:14:51] Speaker 2: but right now it's just YouTube.
[1:14:54] Speaker 1: Well, it is a good show. If anyone listening wants
[1:14:57] Speaker 1: to find what you hope you all do. I'm going
[1:14:59] Speaker 1: to put a link for it in the description for
[1:15:01] Speaker 1: tonight's show that they'll make it really easy to find
[1:15:03] Speaker 1: and if you do check it out, you're gonna like
[1:15:05] Speaker 1: what you hear because it is a good show. But
[1:15:08] Speaker 1: having said that, Roderra can thank you enough for coming
[1:15:11] Speaker 1: on and sharing the details of all these experiences with us.
[1:15:14] Speaker 1: I really appreciate it.
[1:15:16] Speaker 2: Oh yes, thank you for having me all. Thank you
[1:15:18] Speaker 2: for doing my show. We you know you're one of
[1:15:22] Speaker 2: the good people in this business, like I've heard said before,
[1:15:24] Speaker 2: and we really appreciate you, and you've made a fan
[1:15:30] Speaker 2: out of me.
[1:15:32] Speaker 1: Well that goes two ways. I'm really impressed by you
[1:15:35] Speaker 1: and what you do and how you do it, so
[1:15:37] Speaker 1: I really do hope you never stop.
[1:15:40] Speaker 2: Thank you, sir.
[1:15:41] Speaker 1: Oh you're welcome. Thanks again so much for your time,
[1:15:44] Speaker 1: and have a great night. That's it for another episode
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: of Bigfoot Eyewitness Radio with Vic Kundiff. If you've had
[1:15:58] Speaker 1: a sasquatch encounter and would like to be a guest
[1:16:00] Speaker 1: on the show, please go to Bigfoot eyewitness dot com
