Tonight’s guest, Zach, lives in Roanoke, Virginia and he’s been living there for most of his life. On tonight’s show, Zach is going to be talking about a Sasquatch sighting he had in his backyard in June of 2021, while he was doing yardwork. Before Zach had that experience, he was an open-minded skeptic, as he describes it. Back then, he thought that if Sasquatch were real, they didn’t come out during the daytime. Zach was about to find out how wrong he was about that. After having his sighting and coming to the realization Sasquatch actually are extant, he was terrified and afraid to go into his backyard alone. We hope you’ll tune into tonight’s show, so you can find out the particulars regarding his experience. [0:14] Speaker 2: Hello everyone, my name is Zach and I'm currently in Rent, Virginia.
[0:18] Speaker 2: I've lived here for most of my life. I am
[0:21] Speaker 2: a paramedic by trade. I've been doing that for about
[0:24] Speaker 2: twenty years, work for two different agencies here in southwest Virginia.
[0:29] Speaker 2: Here to tell you today about a citing that I
[0:32] Speaker 2: had back in twenty twenty one June of twenty twenty one.
[0:36] Speaker 2: To be exact, this took place on my property out
[0:40] Speaker 2: in the backyard, and in the backyard is rather unique
[0:45] Speaker 2: and where it's kind of broken up in the back
[0:47] Speaker 2: of my property in three different levels. I have a
[0:51] Speaker 2: top level, when I have a middle level and a
[0:54] Speaker 2: bottom level. So to describe that a little more, the
[1:00] Speaker 2: top level and the bottom level are maintained. In the
[1:03] Speaker 2: middle level is approximately an eighth and acre of wood
[1:09] Speaker 2: did area brush different things to that effect, And so
[1:15] Speaker 2: my wife and I usually do the yardwork, you know,
[1:18] Speaker 2: by ourselves. I usually do the trimming and the weed
[1:22] Speaker 2: eating and the general things like that, and she usually must.
[1:26] Speaker 2: She likes it. She thinks it's therapeutic, which is is fantastic,
[1:31] Speaker 2: works out great. She had gone down there, she had
[1:35] Speaker 2: completed the mowing process and was up in the front
[1:38] Speaker 2: of our house sitting there. I was weeding and just
[1:42] Speaker 2: set the stage. It was about four o'clock in the
[1:44] Speaker 2: afternoon at the time this happened. My stance on sasquatch
[1:51] Speaker 2: was an open minded skeptic, so I didn't dismiss the
[1:57] Speaker 2: fact that they existed. I had never seen one. I
[2:01] Speaker 2: used to give them a hard time a lot of times,
[2:03] Speaker 2: her and her friends and different things, and you know,
[2:07] Speaker 2: go around saying, you guys are going, you know, snipe
[2:09] Speaker 2: hunting again, just to kind of get a rise out
[2:11] Speaker 2: of them. But truth being known, I didn't completely dismiss it.
[2:16] Speaker 2: Prior to that, I was pretty skeptical, but certainly had
[2:21] Speaker 2: an open mind to the fact that creatures would exist,
[2:25] Speaker 2: that either we're in folklore or something that maybe folks
[2:28] Speaker 2: had not seen before. I was weed eating and I
[2:33] Speaker 2: had to fix a line on the weed eater, and
[2:36] Speaker 2: I had my AirPods in. I was listening to music
[2:40] Speaker 2: at the time, so I paused it. I had to
[2:43] Speaker 2: restring the weed eater and had run out of line.
[2:45] Speaker 2: So I got the line and as I'm re bringing
[2:49] Speaker 2: the weed eater, I get this feeling somebody's watching me.
[2:54] Speaker 2: So I looked around. There's nobody there. Didn't see anything,
[2:58] Speaker 2: you know. It was just a really bizarre feeling that
[3:00] Speaker 2: you get as I am restringing the weed eater. I
[3:06] Speaker 2: look up ahead of me across the fence line. If
[3:09] Speaker 2: you're looking at my house, it would be the left
[3:11] Speaker 2: side of the yard. Beyond that is a patch of
[3:15] Speaker 2: woods between my house and the neighbor's house. On that
[3:19] Speaker 2: side a patch of woods there, pretty overgrown in the summertime.
[3:25] Speaker 2: This was June of twenty twenty one. As I looked up,
[3:31] Speaker 2: I saw a very large creature. And the best way
[3:34] Speaker 2: I can describe it is it was not brown black,
[3:40] Speaker 2: somewhere kind of brownish black. It may not make a
[3:43] Speaker 2: whole lot of sense, but it wasn't like a brown
[3:47] Speaker 2: but it wasn't jet black either. The creature stood. If
[3:51] Speaker 2: I were to have to estimate, I think we came
[3:54] Speaker 2: up with about eight and a half feet tall. With
[3:56] Speaker 2: the best estimation, after we looked at it, I could
[4:00] Speaker 2: come up with it gruffed, just kind of went almost
[4:06] Speaker 2: like it was disgusted that I was there, turned around
[4:11] Speaker 2: and took off. My entire sighting was probably two to
[4:16] Speaker 2: two and a half seconds, maybe three seconds. I was stunned.
[4:22] Speaker 2: I didn't know what to think, what to make of it.
[4:25] Speaker 2: It turned around and it took off. It was gone.
[4:28] Speaker 2: And the best way I can describe the noise that
[4:31] Speaker 2: it made was if you took a softball or a
[4:35] Speaker 2: walnut or something fear like and threw it through the trees.
[4:41] Speaker 2: That little sound that it makes going through the trees,
[4:44] Speaker 2: as all the sound it made as it left. I
[4:47] Speaker 2: have never seen anything move so fast in my life. Well,
[4:51] Speaker 2: here's the thing, I at the time did not know
[4:58] Speaker 2: if Bigfoot even came out in the daytime. I did not.
[5:03] Speaker 2: I was completely I had no I had no earthly clue.
[5:07] Speaker 2: So I called my wife at the time. She was
[5:09] Speaker 2: sitting up front, and I asked her. I said, I
[5:12] Speaker 2: have a serious question for you. And she knows when
[5:14] Speaker 2: I say, you know, I have a serious question, that
[5:17] Speaker 2: I am being serious. That's just one of the things
[5:19] Speaker 2: that you know, we laugh with joke, we carry on,
[5:22] Speaker 2: but when we're serious, we're serious. And I said do
[5:25] Speaker 2: they come out in the daytime? And she said, what
[5:28] Speaker 2: are you referring to? And I said, Bigfoot? Does Bigfoot
[5:31] Speaker 2: come out during the day And she paused, and she said, well, yeah,
[5:37] Speaker 2: I mean they do have day watchers. Why are you
[5:40] Speaker 2: asking me this, you know, why are you following me
[5:42] Speaker 2: asking me this out of the clear blue? I said, honestly,
[5:46] Speaker 2: I think I saw one. And so she comes down
[5:51] Speaker 2: so the backyard. Took her less than a minute to
[5:53] Speaker 2: get down there, and she said, you need to tell
[5:54] Speaker 2: me exactly what happened, and so I told her that. Well,
[5:58] Speaker 2: one thing that was very bizarre is I'm typically not
[6:03] Speaker 2: the guy to get scared of things that go bump
[6:05] Speaker 2: in the night. I usually don't pay in any mind.
[6:08] Speaker 2: I'm not a fearful person. I was terrified, terrified to
[6:14] Speaker 2: the point to where I did not want to be
[6:16] Speaker 2: left alone in the backyard. I was completely an utterly terrified,
[6:21] Speaker 2: fear stricken. I had probably a good thirty forty five
[6:26] Speaker 2: minutes left of tramming back there because I had just
[6:29] Speaker 2: gotten started. I may have done five minutes before the
[6:33] Speaker 2: line that I had to change the line, So I
[6:38] Speaker 2: did not even finish the backyard. I was that terrified.
[6:42] Speaker 2: I had her stay down there. I tried to finish.
[6:46] Speaker 2: I did not want to be in that backyard anymore.
[6:49] Speaker 2: And it was very bizarre for me. She was concerned
[6:52] Speaker 2: because I don't think prior to that. Now we've been
[6:55] Speaker 2: married since nineteen ninety nine, and prior to that, she
[6:59] Speaker 2: has never seen me that scared, and I don't remember
[7:02] Speaker 2: being that scared. I could not tell you right now
[7:06] Speaker 2: what I was scared of, other than the fact that subconsciously,
[7:10] Speaker 2: if this thing wanted me dead, or this thing wanted
[7:13] Speaker 2: me to hurt, or it wanted to get me, there
[7:16] Speaker 2: would have been no stopping it. There would have been
[7:18] Speaker 2: nothing I could have done. I could not have outrun
[7:21] Speaker 2: this thing. I could certainly could not have out maneuvered it.
[7:24] Speaker 2: I certainly was not a strummer than this. What stopped
[7:28] Speaker 2: it from coming over and getting me, I still this
[7:31] Speaker 2: day have no idea. It was terrifying to me to
[7:35] Speaker 2: think that after that event. It took me probably a
[7:41] Speaker 2: good two to two and a half weeks to go
[7:43] Speaker 2: back there, especially by myself, and then first couple of
[7:47] Speaker 2: times here or three times I went back there. I
[7:49] Speaker 2: believe someone went back there with me and Tiffany went
[7:52] Speaker 2: back at one point I even had At the time,
[7:55] Speaker 2: my youngest daughter was twelve, I believe tw eleven or twelve.
[8:00] Speaker 2: I actually have her go back there with me, And
[8:03] Speaker 2: I mean, I to give you a perspective. I am
[8:06] Speaker 2: six and eighty pounds. My wife is five foot four
[8:09] Speaker 2: one thirty. What I thought she was going to do
[8:13] Speaker 2: to try to help me, I don't know. I was terrified,
[8:18] Speaker 2: as the only thing I knew was it was. It
[8:20] Speaker 2: was a childlike fear, like I want somebody to I behind.
[8:25] Speaker 2: I've never been that scared in my life, and I've
[8:27] Speaker 2: not ever been that scared since. I don't know to
[8:31] Speaker 2: this moment what struck that fear in me, But I've
[8:35] Speaker 2: heard reports since of other folks who have encountered what
[8:40] Speaker 2: they believed to be a sasquatch have that same fear. Now.
[8:45] Speaker 2: As far as smells, I did not smell anything. I
[8:49] Speaker 2: know some folks have reported that there they smell a
[8:53] Speaker 2: string smell, the smell of garbage, or just a kind
[8:58] Speaker 2: of a musky smell. I never smelled anything. The only
[9:03] Speaker 2: thing I saw and heard is what I described. We
[9:07] Speaker 2: went over there. Unfortunately, at the time, though we hadn't
[9:10] Speaker 2: had a whole lot of rain, so the ground wasn't
[9:13] Speaker 2: super soft over there where it was. But when I
[9:17] Speaker 2: called her to come down there, I did not take
[9:19] Speaker 2: my eyes off of where I last saw this. The
[9:23] Speaker 2: reason I did not was because I wanted to get
[9:26] Speaker 2: as accurate of an idea of how tall this thing was.
[9:31] Speaker 2: So we try to rule everything out right, Because we
[9:35] Speaker 2: have bear around here, we have deer, typical wildlife things
[9:40] Speaker 2: like that. I wanted to try to rule out every
[9:44] Speaker 2: conceivable thing that I possibly could before I was willing
[9:48] Speaker 2: to say this was a big foot. Well, so no
[9:52] Speaker 2: bear that we know. First of all, this thing was
[9:55] Speaker 2: a little bit lighter than a bear. We have black
[9:58] Speaker 2: bear and we have several of our cam several bears
[10:01] Speaker 2: around here. We have several you know, videos of the
[10:05] Speaker 2: bears on our property, so we know they're there. But
[10:09] Speaker 2: these things are pretty black, We're pretty jet black. We
[10:12] Speaker 2: don't have any brown bears to my knowledge in this area.
[10:16] Speaker 2: I've not seen or heard of any. Now, just because
[10:19] Speaker 2: I've not seen or heard of any doesn't necessarily mean
[10:22] Speaker 2: that they're not here, So we wanted to rule that out.
[10:25] Speaker 2: So the problem with the bear would be the bears,
[10:30] Speaker 2: first of all, would not move that fast on two feet.
[10:33] Speaker 2: This thing was on two feet. There was not It
[10:35] Speaker 2: was not crawling. It was onto definitely on two feet.
[10:39] Speaker 2: Bears can move fast, but number One, they're not. Typically
[10:43] Speaker 2: what we describe is probably about eight and a half
[10:45] Speaker 2: feet tall. And two, they can't run that fast on
[10:49] Speaker 2: two legs. They do jump up. I do understand that
[10:52] Speaker 2: they come up on two legs, but I've never seen
[10:55] Speaker 2: them sprint on two legs. And that was the thing.
[10:58] Speaker 2: Whatever this was was definitely on two legs, and it
[11:02] Speaker 2: moved quickly. Now, the other thing that's kind of baffling
[11:05] Speaker 2: about this is beyond those woods, it goes down into
[11:10] Speaker 2: an alcove. But on the other side of our house
[11:13] Speaker 2: is a one of the main thoroughfares through the area.
[11:19] Speaker 2: It's a two lane road. But at that time the day,
[11:22] Speaker 2: it was about four o'clock in the afternoon. That time
[11:24] Speaker 2: of the day it is typically pretty busy down there. Now,
[11:28] Speaker 2: there's only two places that this creature could have gone.
[11:34] Speaker 2: One would be down towards the road or perhaps across
[11:37] Speaker 2: the road. It was moving very quickly, could it have
[11:43] Speaker 2: made it across the road. So on the other side
[11:45] Speaker 2: of the road there's a creek and then there's a
[11:47] Speaker 2: big mountain forest over there across this particular road. There
[11:52] Speaker 2: is a subdivision a little bit further down. But in
[11:56] Speaker 2: order for this thinge to get across the creek and
[11:59] Speaker 2: up the mountain had to cross that road. Could it
[12:02] Speaker 2: have crossed and it just so happened nobody saw it. Possibly?
[12:06] Speaker 2: Could it have crossed and somebody did see it, didn't
[12:09] Speaker 2: see anything. Possibly the other option that this thing would
[12:14] Speaker 2: have had would have been straight back, which would have
[12:17] Speaker 2: been a little more would it be he would have
[12:19] Speaker 2: had to have crossed through an open backyard of my
[12:21] Speaker 2: next door neighbor's house in order to get to the
[12:26] Speaker 2: other part of the forest over there. So where this
[12:30] Speaker 2: went we don't know it. Kind of it kind of
[12:35] Speaker 2: went diagonally, maybe towards the road, but I couldn't be
[12:38] Speaker 2: one hundred percent certain. This entire thing lasted about two
[12:43] Speaker 2: and a half to three seconds once I saw it.
[12:47] Speaker 2: I don't know whether it took off because I saw it.
[12:50] Speaker 2: I don't know how long it had been standing there
[12:52] Speaker 2: watching me. I don't know anything. And prior to this,
[12:57] Speaker 2: we never had any indication of anything like this, no
[13:03] Speaker 2: formations know anything. Since but since then we have had
[13:09] Speaker 2: some paranormal things that have gone on that did not
[13:13] Speaker 2: occur until after this sighting. One of the things, and
[13:18] Speaker 2: I know this is kind of Sasquatch related, And I've
[13:21] Speaker 2: heard some things since of a rock formation. Now when
[13:25] Speaker 2: I say rocks, I'm talking some pretty not pebbles, but
[13:30] Speaker 2: not huge rocks, but good sized rocks that were out
[13:34] Speaker 2: in the driveway in a perfect line. Whether that was
[13:38] Speaker 2: Sasquatch related, I don't honestly know. I can just tell
[13:43] Speaker 2: you some very bizarre things have happened had happened since then.
[13:49] Speaker 2: Now we haven't had the paranormal things in quite some time.
[13:54] Speaker 2: That's been kind of sporadic, but probably for about a
[13:57] Speaker 2: year after this sighting, we had some just really bizarre
[14:00] Speaker 2: or things that had taken place, you know, kind of
[14:03] Speaker 2: in the house. And so I don't know whether this
[14:05] Speaker 2: is Sasquatch related. I don't know whether this is coincidence.
[14:08] Speaker 2: I really don't know. After the sighting though, it's when
[14:13] Speaker 2: I really started looking into the possibility and actually kind
[14:16] Speaker 2: of teeming with my wife. You know, she had you know, honestly,
[14:20] Speaker 2: she has been into this, you know, her whole life.
[14:23] Speaker 2: She's always been an enthusiast. She could you know talk
[14:28] Speaker 2: She talked to folks on podcasts about, you know, different
[14:32] Speaker 2: sightings and different things. And I know that there are
[14:34] Speaker 2: some folks that believe this this this creature flesh and blood.
[14:38] Speaker 2: I know there's some folks that think there are may
[14:41] Speaker 2: be a supernatural aspect to this, this creature. I'll tell you,
[14:46] Speaker 2: I don't know where I fall in that, other than
[14:48] Speaker 2: I can tell you that I think all things are
[14:51] Speaker 2: a really good possibility. And so I went from an
[14:54] Speaker 2: open minded skeptic too. I am fairly certain that's what
[14:58] Speaker 2: I saw. So I'm pretty convincing creatures exist at this point.
[15:02] Speaker 2: To what degree, I don't know, And I don't really
[15:06] Speaker 2: think any of us truly know. I know we all
[15:09] Speaker 2: have our opinions. I know that there's probably a lot
[15:12] Speaker 2: of sightings out here that go unreported or untalked about
[15:17] Speaker 2: because I feel like that folks are afraid of what
[15:20] Speaker 2: people are going to say. They're going to be afraid
[15:23] Speaker 2: of being ridiculed. And again, I know my wife has
[15:28] Speaker 2: had several people that she has talked to anonymously that
[15:33] Speaker 2: did not want to go on camera or a podcast
[15:35] Speaker 2: or talk about it publicly at all in fear of
[15:38] Speaker 2: people thinking that they were crazy, and unfortunately, it's very
[15:45] Speaker 2: common that people are very skeptical of doing that because
[15:49] Speaker 2: they're definitely afraid of what people are going to think.
[15:53] Speaker 2: So it makes me wonder how many sightings in even
[15:56] Speaker 2: including mine, has anyone in the neighborhood or anyone in
[16:01] Speaker 2: the mediate area also seeing what they believed to be
[16:05] Speaker 2: a sasquatch that did not say anything in fear of
[16:09] Speaker 2: people going that person's crazy. There's no way that they
[16:13] Speaker 2: saw what they thought they saw. So those are all
[16:17] Speaker 2: questions that I had that you know, obviously, we won't
[16:20] Speaker 2: know unless someone comes up and says, you know, hey,
[16:23] Speaker 2: you know, the only thing I asked the neighbors is
[16:26] Speaker 2: did you guys see anything bizarre? And no one admitted
[16:30] Speaker 2: to seeing anything bizarre anytime around that time, So that's
[16:35] Speaker 2: pretty much in a nutshell kind of the experience that
[16:40] Speaker 2: I had. I've not seen anything like that since. We've
[16:43] Speaker 2: seen several bears, we've seen several deer when you had
[16:47] Speaker 2: a mountain lion or bobcat rather not a mountain lion
[16:51] Speaker 2: of bobcat citing a couple of times, but I've not
[16:54] Speaker 2: seen anything like that since that particular time, and believe me.
[17:01] Speaker 2: My eyes are open and I'm always watching for something
[17:05] Speaker 2: out there now at this point, and I have ever
[17:07] Speaker 2: since this has happened. So my question is do they
[17:12] Speaker 2: know and they're not going to They're going to be
[17:15] Speaker 2: very careful about where they come out or when they
[17:17] Speaker 2: come or you know, am I or are they out
[17:21] Speaker 2: there and they're watching us? We don't know they're there.
[17:25] Speaker 2: These are all very good questions that I, honestly, you know,
[17:28] Speaker 2: do not have the answer to. But otherwise, like I said,
[17:33] Speaker 2: we haven't seen anything since. It was a kind of
[17:36] Speaker 2: like a one off thing. But the one thing that
[17:39] Speaker 2: that I want to drive home to about this is
[17:43] Speaker 2: the fact that the fact that I was just absolutely terrified.
[17:49] Speaker 2: I've never been that scared of my life that I
[17:51] Speaker 2: can recall. I have been fearful in my life, you know,
[17:54] Speaker 2: I have been scared. Things half scared me. I don't
[17:56] Speaker 2: want to say I don't get scared. It's just difficult too.
[18:01] Speaker 2: But this thing terrified me to the point to where
[18:04] Speaker 2: I didn't want want to go back there. I didn't
[18:06] Speaker 2: want to go back there for it took me a
[18:07] Speaker 2: good two weeks to go back there, and the first
[18:10] Speaker 2: few times now at this point in time, I can
[18:12] Speaker 2: walk back there with no problem. But at the time
[18:15] Speaker 2: I was absolutely terrified, and I cannot put my finger
[18:19] Speaker 2: on why that is. I don't know at all what
[18:24] Speaker 2: terrified me. I just can't tell y'all was. So that's
[18:27] Speaker 2: pretty much in a nutshell kind of the story behind it,
[18:34] Speaker 2: you know. Otherwise, you know, like I said, we haven't
[18:36] Speaker 2: really seen anything since that siding.
[18:40] Speaker 1: Obviously terrified to you said, but did you still catch
[18:44] Speaker 1: the big foot bug after it happened?
[18:47] Speaker 2: I did, and I think I was very, very curious
[18:50] Speaker 2: from that moment on. I, like I said, I was
[18:53] Speaker 2: an open minded skeptic. I was more, you know, kind
[18:57] Speaker 2: of made jokes about it and kind of, you know, everything,
[19:01] Speaker 2: But in all honesty and all seriousness though behind that,
[19:05] Speaker 2: I certainly was open to the fact that this creature existed.
[19:09] Speaker 2: I'm not in anything else. You know, we have all
[19:12] Speaker 2: sorts of different cryptids, and we have all sorts of
[19:15] Speaker 2: different folklores. You know, there have been multiple sightings, specifically
[19:20] Speaker 2: a sasquatch, and you know when we've had dog Man,
[19:23] Speaker 2: we've got Mothman, the locks and excuse me, the lot
[19:26] Speaker 2: mess Monster, all these things that we've had sightings of
[19:30] Speaker 2: in multiple reported sightings. So in my mind, I find
[19:36] Speaker 2: it hard to believe they don't exist, because in order
[19:39] Speaker 2: for those creatures not to exist with all these reports,
[19:42] Speaker 2: then everyone would have to be getting together and just
[19:44] Speaker 2: completely making this up. That's very far fetched to me.
[19:48] Speaker 2: I don't think that a bunch of people are going
[19:50] Speaker 2: to get together and make up some story. I don't
[19:52] Speaker 2: buy it. So to me, there's something to it. What
[19:56] Speaker 2: I don't know, and I don't know if anyone does know.
[19:58] Speaker 2: I don't know if we have any sasquatch experts. I
[20:01] Speaker 2: do know we have people who have studied and listened
[20:03] Speaker 2: to reports, so I do think there are a lot
[20:06] Speaker 2: of educated people on the subject, but I, you know, again,
[20:10] Speaker 2: I don't know to my knowledge, you know, if we
[20:14] Speaker 2: have any true you know, experts. I do enjoy listening
[20:17] Speaker 2: to encounters. I like comparing them to mind and there's
[20:21] Speaker 2: a lot of similarities there's, but there are some differences
[20:24] Speaker 2: as well. Not every sasquatch sighting is going to be
[20:27] Speaker 2: the same, not every sasquatch is going to act. I haven't.
[20:30] Speaker 2: I find it hard to believe that, you know, all
[20:33] Speaker 2: sasquatches are the same. If you think about it. You know,
[20:36] Speaker 2: we have humans, and we have different personalities, we have
[20:39] Speaker 2: different tendencies, and we have different fears. We're all different,
[20:43] Speaker 2: So why would sasquatch or any other species of animal
[20:46] Speaker 2: be any different. I understand we have wild animals. You
[20:49] Speaker 2: take bears. You have some bears that are less fearful
[20:53] Speaker 2: than other bears, and there's multitudes of reasons why some
[20:57] Speaker 2: of them may be used to humans, other ones may
[20:59] Speaker 2: be terrified. If I believe that sasquatch has to be
[21:03] Speaker 2: the same way, I don't have any proof of that.
[21:06] Speaker 2: That's just my opinion, obviously, but that wouldn't make sense
[21:09] Speaker 2: as to why we had different encounters and different things
[21:13] Speaker 2: that happened, and they've reacted differently. Some of them aren't
[21:16] Speaker 2: so scared, other ones are terrified. So you know, I
[21:19] Speaker 2: don't I find it hard to believe that all of
[21:22] Speaker 2: them are the same. I really do think there are
[21:24] Speaker 2: differences as far as like the flesh and blood versus
[21:28] Speaker 2: the woo, if you will, with the different portals, and
[21:33] Speaker 2: I've heard the portals, and I've heard the encounters where
[21:36] Speaker 2: folks believe that they're portals and there's a supernatural, you
[21:39] Speaker 2: know thing to this. I don't find that far fetched
[21:42] Speaker 2: at all. As a matter of fact, I'm open to
[21:45] Speaker 2: any possibility, because when it took off, it took off.
[21:49] Speaker 2: I don't know where it went. It was broad daylight.
[21:52] Speaker 2: I don't know how something that large could disappear into
[21:55] Speaker 2: such a small area and just not be seen. I
[21:58] Speaker 2: don't understand that at all.
[22:00] Speaker 1: They do amazing things like that all the time. It
[22:02] Speaker 1: sure does make you wonder if they are paranormal beings.
[22:06] Speaker 1: That would definitely explain a lot, it really would. Did
[22:10] Speaker 1: you ever feel any sort of vibrating sensation right before
[22:13] Speaker 1: you laid eyes on that sasquatch that day?
[22:17] Speaker 2: I don't recall any vibrating sensations. The only thing that was,
[22:21] Speaker 2: like I said, bizarre, was I felt like something was
[22:24] Speaker 2: watching me. I looked up, and I looked around a
[22:26] Speaker 2: couple of times. This was probably two or three minutes
[22:29] Speaker 2: before I actually spotted it, just like you'd get that
[22:33] Speaker 2: feeling someone's watching or somebody's watching you, but you know
[22:36] Speaker 2: it's broad daylight. My you know, my none of my
[22:39] Speaker 2: daughters are home yet, because at the time I have
[22:42] Speaker 2: three daughters, two of them around on their own now,
[22:45] Speaker 2: and my daughter now is currently fifteen she'll be sixteen
[22:48] Speaker 2: next month. U only she was eleven at the time,
[22:52] Speaker 2: maybe twelve. I'm horrible with math. Right now, she was
[22:56] Speaker 2: at school, she had not gotten home yet. She typically
[22:59] Speaker 2: got home at the time around ten after four. That's
[23:01] Speaker 2: happened a little bit before four pm. I don't believe
[23:07] Speaker 2: we told her what had happened at that time. But
[23:11] Speaker 2: the only I didn't feel any vibrations, like I said,
[23:13] Speaker 2: didn't smell any smells. I've heard many encounters of where
[23:16] Speaker 2: folks have smelled like a musky type of smell. I
[23:20] Speaker 2: never smelled anything that I could recall. It was just
[23:24] Speaker 2: a weird feeling of being watched. And when I saw it,
[23:27] Speaker 2: it it like I said it, it huffed like almost
[23:31] Speaker 2: like I was disgusted, like how dare you look at me?
[23:34] Speaker 2: And he turned around and was gone. I've tried to
[23:38] Speaker 2: rack my brain about the whole fear thing. The only
[23:41] Speaker 2: thing I could come up with that I thought about
[23:44] Speaker 2: after the fact was the fact that if this thing
[23:46] Speaker 2: wanted to do me harm, it would happen. Would have
[23:48] Speaker 2: had no problem, It would have had no problem catching me,
[23:51] Speaker 2: It would have had no problem out maneuvering me. It
[23:53] Speaker 2: would have had no problem. I was no match for
[23:56] Speaker 2: strength wise. I am sixty one two eightym, a pretty
[24:00] Speaker 2: big guy, but I was nothing compared to this creature,
[24:02] Speaker 2: absolutely nothing. There was nothing I could have done. If
[24:06] Speaker 2: this thing wanted to do harm to me, it could
[24:08] Speaker 2: have very easily done it. Why did it not? That
[24:11] Speaker 2: always has been a question that I had, and I
[24:14] Speaker 2: had not heard many encounter stories. I have heard the
[24:21] Speaker 2: ones where folks are very fearful, but I've not heard
[24:25] Speaker 2: many encounter stories. And maybe this is something that the
[24:27] Speaker 2: listeners or you could have heard of sasquatch actually doing
[24:32] Speaker 2: harm to someone. I do know that there are some stories,
[24:35] Speaker 2: like there's some stories out of Russia where the I
[24:40] Speaker 2: guess there was college students out plumping and they suspect
[24:44] Speaker 2: that maybe a sasquatch may have done them harm. And
[24:48] Speaker 2: there's a couple of others like that as well. But
[24:51] Speaker 2: I have not heard of many stories of sasquatch actually
[24:54] Speaker 2: doing warmed of folks. I have heard the rock throwing
[24:58] Speaker 2: and things like that, and it's almost like, Hey, you
[25:00] Speaker 2: need to leave me alone. Get out of my you know,
[25:03] Speaker 2: get out of my territory, Get out of my house.
[25:05] Speaker 2: This is where I live. You're not welcome here. It
[25:08] Speaker 2: would just be like me coming to your house uninvited
[25:11] Speaker 2: and letting myself in. You're gonna do things to defend
[25:14] Speaker 2: your home. And from the stories that I've heard, that's
[25:18] Speaker 2: my impression. We go into the woods, that's their habitat,
[25:22] Speaker 2: that's where they live. If we go in the woods,
[25:25] Speaker 2: they don't know what our intentions are. We could be
[25:28] Speaker 2: out there to try to harm them. We could be
[25:30] Speaker 2: doing anything. So to me, I liken that too. We're
[25:35] Speaker 2: going into their home space. They don't want us in
[25:38] Speaker 2: their home space because they don't know why, what our
[25:40] Speaker 2: intentions are. If I were to walk up, if you
[25:43] Speaker 2: knew me, and I were to walk up and knock
[25:44] Speaker 2: on your door, and you invited me in and we
[25:47] Speaker 2: talked and you were comfortable. You invited me into your home,
[25:50] Speaker 2: that's one thing. But if I just walked up there,
[25:52] Speaker 2: opened the door, and walked into your house uninvited, you
[25:55] Speaker 2: didn't know me or didn't know me, well, then you
[25:58] Speaker 2: would you would defend your house. And that's that's honestly
[26:01] Speaker 2: what I feel like they're doing.
[26:03] Speaker 1: That makes good sense. But on the other hand, I
[26:07] Speaker 1: do think it's pretty cheeky if that sasquatch to gruff
[26:10] Speaker 1: at you, almost as if it was disgusted with you
[26:13] Speaker 1: or put off by you. But you're standing in your
[26:16] Speaker 1: own backyard. Of course they don't recognize that it's your backyard,
[26:20] Speaker 1: but it's not like you're venturing out into the woods
[26:23] Speaker 1: and possibly would have stumbled into its territory. You were
[26:27] Speaker 1: where you're supposed to be. It came to visit you
[26:30] Speaker 1: and had them hurf to do that. That's why I
[26:32] Speaker 1: think that's pretty cheeky.
[26:34] Speaker 2: Right well, and it could very well be. And it
[26:36] Speaker 2: goes back to the fact that you know, we have
[26:39] Speaker 2: I believe there are different personalities. You know, animals and
[26:43] Speaker 2: animal kingdom have personalities. We all know humans have different personalities.
[26:48] Speaker 2: I believe. I have no reason I believe they wouldn't
[26:51] Speaker 2: be the same that you know, you have your ones
[26:54] Speaker 2: that are more bold, you have the ones that are
[26:56] Speaker 2: more fearful, you have the ones that are angry, you know,
[27:00] Speaker 2: whatever the case, may be irritated, less than happy, whatever
[27:06] Speaker 2: adjective you want to use. And again this is all opinionated.
[27:10] Speaker 2: I could be one hundred and ten percent completely wrong
[27:13] Speaker 2: about all of it, but just just my opinion on
[27:17] Speaker 2: it is I really feel like that this is an
[27:20] Speaker 2: animal that exists. It's a creature that exists, and we
[27:25] Speaker 2: don't understand them. I don't know if they understand us,
[27:28] Speaker 2: or perhaps they do, we don't know. And that's what
[27:32] Speaker 2: makes this whole thing so fascinating, is that we don't
[27:37] Speaker 2: really understand them. We don't know if they understand us.
[27:41] Speaker 2: We don't know. These could be peaceful creatures, these can
[27:44] Speaker 2: be evil creatures. We really don't know. And that's to me,
[27:49] Speaker 2: and that's the fascinating portion of it. Now, the fear,
[27:54] Speaker 2: I don't that's just something that's still to this moment
[27:57] Speaker 2: talking to you right now really baffles me. Don know
[28:00] Speaker 2: why I was so fearful.
[28:02] Speaker 1: Well, the reason why I asked you that question about
[28:04] Speaker 1: the feeling of a vibration is I was wondering if
[28:07] Speaker 1: you might have been zapped, and that's why you felt
[28:09] Speaker 1: so terrified. Do you know what it means to be
[28:12] Speaker 1: zapped by them?
[28:14] Speaker 2: I have heard other folks talk about it, and to
[28:17] Speaker 2: be honest with you, I didn't think about that aspect
[28:20] Speaker 2: until just now, until you said something could it? Could
[28:24] Speaker 2: it have happened? Yet? Could have? I don't recall losing
[28:27] Speaker 2: any time, but if something like that happens. Would you
[28:31] Speaker 2: even recall losing any time or would you even have
[28:33] Speaker 2: the perception that you lost time or would you even know.
[28:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a really good point, really good question. Also,
[28:41] Speaker 1: and to touch on what you said just a bit ago,
[28:44] Speaker 1: the mystery around everything to do with these guys, or
[28:47] Speaker 1: almost everything to do with them, that's one of the
[28:49] Speaker 1: biggest alures. That's one of the things that makes them
[28:52] Speaker 1: so interesting in my opinion. So I agree with you
[28:55] Speaker 1: on that. I do now had anything happen around your
[28:59] Speaker 1: property before you had that sighting that looking back now,
[29:02] Speaker 1: I realized that before we had the sighting, you didn't
[29:04] Speaker 1: even know they were out there, So that made you
[29:07] Speaker 1: that much less likely to say, Okay, well, I wonder
[29:09] Speaker 1: if this or that means we have a sasquatch around.
[29:12] Speaker 1: But I'm talking about hindsight. Looking back now, that you
[29:15] Speaker 1: had that sighting and that experience, had anything happened around
[29:19] Speaker 1: your property? That makes you think again looking back, that
[29:23] Speaker 1: you just might have had a sasquatch around then before
[29:26] Speaker 1: you had that sighting.
[29:28] Speaker 2: Well, the only thing that I could think of, there
[29:31] Speaker 2: were two instances where a creasher got into our trash
[29:35] Speaker 2: when we set it out on Monday nights, or used to.
[29:39] Speaker 2: We don't anymore. We taken out Tuesday mornings for Tuesdays
[29:42] Speaker 2: or trash days, and so we had taken it up there.
[29:45] Speaker 2: Our trash had been rummers through a couple of different times.
[29:49] Speaker 2: There were a lot more food items in those particular times.
[29:54] Speaker 2: I always talked it up to was a bear, because
[29:57] Speaker 2: we know we do have bears around here. They're pret
[30:00] Speaker 2: prevalent and they're looking for food, so it would only
[30:04] Speaker 2: make sense. I had thought. After the sighting, I thought
[30:09] Speaker 2: back to those past couple of times. Was it a bear?
[30:11] Speaker 2: Was it not a bear? I actually have a picture
[30:14] Speaker 2: on my phone of a bow j Angle's chicken box
[30:17] Speaker 2: that had some scraps left in it that actually had
[30:22] Speaker 2: a bear what I perceived to be a bear claw mark. Now,
[30:27] Speaker 2: I don't know enough about a sasquatch to know what
[30:31] Speaker 2: you know, if they rip something over and they tear
[30:33] Speaker 2: into something, what that would look like. Your listeners or
[30:38] Speaker 2: you or whomever may may be a little more worse
[30:41] Speaker 2: on that than me. I just talked it up to
[30:43] Speaker 2: being a bear, but it had been a sas squatch,
[30:46] Speaker 2: It absolutely could have been. But at the time I
[30:50] Speaker 2: wasn't thinking along those lines at all. It's just thinking, well,
[30:52] Speaker 2: you know, we have bear and we have deer and
[30:54] Speaker 2: different other things. One of the particular times, so directly
[31:00] Speaker 2: across the street from us, is another set of woods.
[31:04] Speaker 2: Because we live in the we live in the Appalachian
[31:07] Speaker 2: Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains, so woods are a
[31:11] Speaker 2: thing here and we got woods pretty much everywhere to
[31:13] Speaker 2: turn around, and so directly across from us it's a
[31:16] Speaker 2: very very steep hill that goes up into some woods.
[31:20] Speaker 2: There were food the second time there were food, and
[31:24] Speaker 2: I believe, I believe it was someone's birthday that we
[31:31] Speaker 2: had done like a little catering thing, you know, several
[31:35] Speaker 2: different containers of different types of food. The container that
[31:40] Speaker 2: you had been moved out of the one container into
[31:43] Speaker 2: the one. We put them in the trash can and
[31:44] Speaker 2: then threw those up there. One of those containers was
[31:47] Speaker 2: a very very high on that hill. Now, I know
[31:51] Speaker 2: bears climb, and I know that they can they can
[31:53] Speaker 2: do steep terrain also, but it was way up there.
[31:56] Speaker 2: I mean you really had to strain to see it,
[31:59] Speaker 2: which I found very very interesting at the time. But
[32:03] Speaker 2: thinking back on that, that could have very well been
[32:06] Speaker 2: sasquatch activity as well, and it's definitely a possibility, but
[32:10] Speaker 2: it's not something that I can say that was one
[32:12] Speaker 2: hundred percent of Sasquatch that did this. It's just kind
[32:15] Speaker 2: of one of those things of you know, after the
[32:18] Speaker 2: twenty twenty one incident, it really makes you question everything,
[32:22] Speaker 2: like is this you know, is this truly what I
[32:26] Speaker 2: did see? Is you know anything else that has happened
[32:30] Speaker 2: that you just chalk up to whatever? Could it have
[32:32] Speaker 2: been Sasquatch? Maybe maybe not? I don't know.
[32:36] Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mean after having that sighting, it just
[32:39] Speaker 1: proved to you that you've been living a lie. Ever
[32:42] Speaker 1: since you've been able to understand the spoken word, it's
[32:45] Speaker 1: been hammered into your head that things like sasquatch they're
[32:48] Speaker 1: not out there, they can't be out there. Well, one
[32:51] Speaker 1: day you actually see with your own two eyes that's
[32:54] Speaker 1: not the case. And that's not the case, then what
[32:57] Speaker 1: else have you been told it's not true? So it's
[32:59] Speaker 1: only natural you would feel that way.
[33:02] Speaker 2: You're exactly right, and you know, not only would the Sasquatch,
[33:06] Speaker 2: but you know, you take something like the Locknest Monster.
[33:09] Speaker 2: That's one of my favorite folklore. That's one of my
[33:11] Speaker 2: favorite cryptids. You know, of this thing that lives in
[33:15] Speaker 2: the lake and it pops up, and you've had multiple
[33:18] Speaker 2: multiple reports of this creature existing and everybody's like, no,
[33:23] Speaker 2: there's no way it could. It's just in at lake.
[33:25] Speaker 2: You know, what would it eat like? You know, come on,
[33:28] Speaker 2: you know, there's just no way if if I again,
[33:32] Speaker 2: I was open minded, but seeing it becoming a believer
[33:36] Speaker 2: in about five minutes, you know, after seeing it for
[33:41] Speaker 2: two and a half seconds, being fearful, processing and going
[33:44] Speaker 2: back into the house, going over and over and over
[33:45] Speaker 2: and over again. And I had trouble sleeping that evening
[33:49] Speaker 2: over it as well. So if this has proved to
[33:52] Speaker 2: be or what I need to be, this thing exists,
[33:57] Speaker 2: what else exists? What else is there? So it does?
[34:01] Speaker 2: It opens your mind to a completely vast possibility of
[34:05] Speaker 2: absolutely anything that we thought was folklore or an old
[34:11] Speaker 2: wives tale. I'm not so sure that this stuff isn't true.
[34:15] Speaker 2: It's like I said before, either there's something to this
[34:19] Speaker 2: or you have a large demographic of people that are
[34:22] Speaker 2: coming together just completely lying about it. Now, it's really
[34:26] Speaker 2: hard for me to say that that's going to be
[34:29] Speaker 2: the case. First of all, what would the motive be.
[34:33] Speaker 2: And second off, I don't believe we're going to get
[34:35] Speaker 2: the same story from hundreds of people across hundreds of miles,
[34:39] Speaker 2: all across the country and in other countries that describe
[34:43] Speaker 2: something similar, all the way back to Patising himline in
[34:46] Speaker 2: sixty seven, all the way up. You know what, you know,
[34:50] Speaker 2: we had the video of this and you know, I
[34:52] Speaker 2: know the Patterson Himlin film has been analyzed and looked
[34:57] Speaker 2: at and then trying to you know, people try to
[34:59] Speaker 2: just people try to credit it, you know, things like that,
[35:03] Speaker 2: but we have several different ones. And you know, the
[35:06] Speaker 2: one thing that you hear is why doesn't anybody get
[35:08] Speaker 2: a clear picture? Well, I can tell you just by
[35:11] Speaker 2: my perception. The last thing I was thinking about when
[35:15] Speaker 2: I laid eyes on this thing, was trying to process
[35:18] Speaker 2: what I was seeing, was grabbing my phone to snap
[35:20] Speaker 2: a picture. That was the last thing I was thinking about.
[35:23] Speaker 2: Even if I would have I would again keep in mind,
[35:27] Speaker 2: I pointed out, I was terrified. How clear of a
[35:30] Speaker 2: picture do you actually think I would have been able
[35:32] Speaker 2: to take from my cell phone? I would say it
[35:35] Speaker 2: was probably thirty yards away, maybe twenty across the fence line.
[35:39] Speaker 2: There how clear of a picture you actually think I
[35:42] Speaker 2: would have been able to get doing this? And I
[35:45] Speaker 2: honestly believe because the number one things that critics and
[35:49] Speaker 2: skeptics say is we don't have a clear picture of this. Well,
[35:52] Speaker 2: I'm here to tell you when you see these things
[35:55] Speaker 2: you don't expect you're not. First of all, you're such
[35:58] Speaker 2: shock of what you're actually seeing. And in my case,
[36:02] Speaker 2: I went from open minded skeptic. They probably don't exist. Right,
[36:06] Speaker 2: there's one. This is terrifying. The last thing I was
[36:09] Speaker 2: thinking about was taking a picture out and in my
[36:11] Speaker 2: phone out to say, have a picture. And even if
[36:13] Speaker 2: I did, how clear do you think that would have been?
[36:15] Speaker 2: It wouldn't have been very clear at all.
[36:17] Speaker 1: I was listening to a podcast not too long ago,
[36:20] Speaker 1: and I heard the guests make a great point. He said,
[36:23] Speaker 1: if we put you into a kege at the zoo
[36:25] Speaker 1: of a lion, how many photos of that line do
[36:27] Speaker 1: you think you're gonna get? And that's a really good point,
[36:30] Speaker 1: that's a last thing on your mind.
[36:32] Speaker 2: I absolutely agree, I absolutely one hundred percent degree, and
[36:37] Speaker 2: so I believe, I honestly believe that's why we don't
[36:40] Speaker 2: have clear photos. We don't have clear photos because number one,
[36:43] Speaker 2: they don't exactly announce it they're there, you kind of
[36:47] Speaker 2: have to see them. They're very elusive. They've gotten the
[36:51] Speaker 2: art of hiding. And you know, we see these minds, uh,
[36:54] Speaker 2: these memes all the time online about you know, hide
[36:57] Speaker 2: and seek champion. Then they got a picture of a sasquade,
[37:00] Speaker 2: which you know there's some truth to that, and then
[37:02] Speaker 2: you know they hide. They you know they're not seeing
[37:05] Speaker 2: very well, and if you do, you know, sometimes it's
[37:07] Speaker 2: by a mistake that you see them. Other times you
[37:10] Speaker 2: know that I don't know if they're being careless, whether
[37:12] Speaker 2: you take them by surprise, whatever the case may be.
[37:16] Speaker 2: The point is is that when you run across this,
[37:19] Speaker 2: you're not expecting it. And even if you had your
[37:22] Speaker 2: camera at the ready, I don't know. You know these
[37:26] Speaker 2: things and I'm here to tell you these things move
[37:29] Speaker 2: very very quickly. They move fast or anything I've ever seen,
[37:33] Speaker 2: and so you take the speed of them running away
[37:36] Speaker 2: and capturing a picture that you know it takes you
[37:39] Speaker 2: a few minutes to pring your phone up on the camera.
[37:41] Speaker 2: By the time you're ready to take a picture of
[37:43] Speaker 2: things out of there like you're not going to get
[37:45] Speaker 2: a clear picture. So that's why we don't have pictures.
[37:49] Speaker 2: I don't know whether they can. Like people are like,
[37:51] Speaker 2: why don't we capture them on trail cams? We capture
[37:53] Speaker 2: everything else on trail cams. We'll understand that. But I
[37:56] Speaker 2: honestly believe that they probably know what a trail camera is,
[38:00] Speaker 2: or there's some kind of where, you know, where it
[38:03] Speaker 2: emanates this infrared and that maybe something they can hear it,
[38:07] Speaker 2: maybe something they can see it, maybe something they can sense.
[38:10] Speaker 2: I don't know how they know, but I honestly believe
[38:13] Speaker 2: they know those trail cameras are there and they know
[38:15] Speaker 2: how to avoid them. So I don't think just a
[38:17] Speaker 2: simple trail camera is going to ever catch a sasquatch.
[38:20] Speaker 2: I just don't. I don't believe that at all.
[38:24] Speaker 1: Oh sure, when it comes to us being able to
[38:26] Speaker 1: get a picture of them, especially a good picture, they've
[38:29] Speaker 1: got every advantage. So it's no surprise we don't really
[38:32] Speaker 1: have very many good photos of them.
[38:35] Speaker 2: Correct, correct? And you know, and will we ever? I
[38:38] Speaker 2: don't know they answer that question. I can tell you
[38:42] Speaker 2: that that's the difficulty of someone just hanging around in
[38:45] Speaker 2: the woods or somewhere where they may be that's why
[38:48] Speaker 2: we're not going to get good pictures is because first
[38:50] Speaker 2: of all, you're surprised. Second off, you know, cell phone
[38:54] Speaker 2: cameras aren't the greatest. I know they're coming out with
[38:56] Speaker 2: new models and the upgraded cameras and whatnot. I get that,
[39:01] Speaker 2: but like, I don't foresee that. First of all, you're
[39:06] Speaker 2: gonna be surprised. I just I don't see where we're
[39:08] Speaker 2: gonna get a good picture. I don't believe we will.
[39:12] Speaker 2: I'll never say never, because there could be somebody somewhere
[39:15] Speaker 2: who make it one. But you know, first of all,
[39:19] Speaker 2: even if we did get a picture and there have
[39:21] Speaker 2: been several folks in the community and brought the floida,
[39:24] Speaker 2: you know, folks are a lot of times they're so
[39:26] Speaker 2: skeptical that even if we got a clear picture of
[39:29] Speaker 2: this creature, would it would people actually even believe it?
[39:35] Speaker 2: What would it take? Because a lot of folks ask
[39:37] Speaker 2: the question, what would it take for folks to finally
[39:41] Speaker 2: understand or believe that they exist? Does it would it
[39:44] Speaker 2: take a body? Probably? Are we going to get one? Probably?
[39:49] Speaker 1: Not?
[39:50] Speaker 2: Again, you know, these are this is just my opinion.
[39:53] Speaker 2: I could be completely utterly wrong about all of this,
[39:57] Speaker 2: But if we haven't gotten one yet, lead us to
[40:00] Speaker 2: believe that we're going to get one. And even if
[40:03] Speaker 2: we get one, are people even going to believe it? Then?
[40:08] Speaker 2: I don't know if some folks, I don't think we'll
[40:10] Speaker 2: ever believe it unless they have an encounter or something
[40:14] Speaker 2: that changes their mind like I did. So I don't
[40:17] Speaker 2: know what it's going to take.
[40:18] Speaker 1: Honestly, well, I'm convinced that most people never will believe
[40:24] Speaker 1: in their existence. I mean, if the Patterson Gimmel One
[40:26] Speaker 1: film didn't get the job done, nothing is going to
[40:28] Speaker 1: get the job done. But I have seen some amazing
[40:32] Speaker 1: photos of sasquatch. That's another way that decks are just
[40:35] Speaker 1: stacked against you. I mean, if you do have a
[40:39] Speaker 1: great photo of a sasquatch and you go public with it,
[40:41] Speaker 1: well then you have to contend with other problems as well.
[40:44] Speaker 1: So I've seen some really good ones that have been
[40:47] Speaker 1: put up on Facebook, for example, but they get taken
[40:49] Speaker 1: down in short order. So so many people think that Okay,
[40:54] Speaker 1: once I get a great photo, that's it. But your
[40:57] Speaker 1: problems really are just starting.
[41:00] Speaker 2: And not only that, you also have folks that are
[41:02] Speaker 2: out here for the money, and you have folks that
[41:05] Speaker 2: like to fake things, and you have folks, you know,
[41:07] Speaker 2: believe it or not. Unfortunately, we live in a world
[41:09] Speaker 2: where not everyone is trustworthy, and so you have folks
[41:13] Speaker 2: also that are trying to make a quick buck off
[41:16] Speaker 2: of it and everything like that. And unfortunately, while you
[41:19] Speaker 2: have those folks out there, and then we you know,
[41:21] Speaker 2: you post things, and then you have people you could
[41:24] Speaker 2: put a fake photo and a real photo right next
[41:27] Speaker 2: to each other, and you're going to have folks that
[41:29] Speaker 2: just aren't gonna you know, they're going to believe the
[41:34] Speaker 2: wrong one or whatever. So unfortunately we kind of have
[41:37] Speaker 2: that work and the community kind of has that working
[41:39] Speaker 2: against them as well, with folks that like to manufacture
[41:44] Speaker 2: things to try to either get likes, views or make
[41:47] Speaker 2: a buck.
[41:49] Speaker 1: Oh definitely, And don't leave out AI. Now the day
[41:52] Speaker 1: I is so advanced doing really good photos or videos
[41:56] Speaker 1: you get now, people are just gonna say, no, that's
[41:58] Speaker 1: just AI. So that it stacks the deck against even Moore.
[42:03] Speaker 2: You're exactly right, And you know the thing of it
[42:06] Speaker 2: is is that you know, I don't believe this mystery
[42:10] Speaker 2: surrounding Bigfoot. I don't believe is ever going to be
[42:12] Speaker 2: put to bed. I think it's going to go on
[42:15] Speaker 2: till the end of time. And I don't think you're
[42:18] Speaker 2: always going to have your skeptics. You're always going to
[42:20] Speaker 2: have your believers. You're going to have those folks in
[42:22] Speaker 2: the middle. You're going to have folks that actually see
[42:24] Speaker 2: them and nobody believes. And that's you know why a
[42:28] Speaker 2: lot of folks are so afraid to come forward and
[42:31] Speaker 2: tell their story because they're afraid of they're ridicule. They're
[42:35] Speaker 2: afraid that they're going to be labeled as crazy and
[42:38] Speaker 2: nobody's ever going to believe them, and in you know
[42:41] Speaker 2: a multitude of other reasons, and it's frustrating. It is
[42:46] Speaker 2: because not everyone is lying. You do have your liars,
[42:51] Speaker 2: but not everyone is lying. And it's frustrating because you
[42:55] Speaker 2: have people you really want to hear from, but they're
[42:58] Speaker 2: terrified to tell you because they're afraid that be labeled crazy.
[43:02] Speaker 2: Oh sure you do.
[43:03] Speaker 1: But I think the biggest obstacle improving their existence is
[43:08] Speaker 1: of course, there are a lot of things that go
[43:09] Speaker 1: together to make it such an uphill slog, but I
[43:12] Speaker 1: think the biggest obstacle is you've got so many people
[43:16] Speaker 1: who it seems like their main goal in life is
[43:18] Speaker 1: just to live one more date without any new thoughts.
[43:21] Speaker 1: So they're just they're going to do anything they can
[43:24] Speaker 1: to prevent even considering the possibility they could be wrong
[43:28] Speaker 1: about their existence.
[43:30] Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, And I mean we can we can take
[43:33] Speaker 2: other you know, button topics and do the same thing
[43:38] Speaker 2: is you know, you do have the folks that are
[43:41] Speaker 2: afraid of not being accepted or you know it's going
[43:43] Speaker 2: against the societal norm of things, and a lot of
[43:47] Speaker 2: people are like, well until I see one, I'm not
[43:50] Speaker 2: going to believe it. Yeah, I've got to see it
[43:52] Speaker 2: in order to believe it. And I get that to
[43:54] Speaker 2: a certain extent. But you know, I saw what I saw,
[44:00] Speaker 2: and my attitude towards it is you can believe it
[44:04] Speaker 2: or you don't have to believe it. But I know
[44:06] Speaker 2: what I saw. I'm not afraid to tell people what
[44:08] Speaker 2: I saw. I'm not afraid of being labeled anything because
[44:12] Speaker 2: at the end of the day, I know what I saw,
[44:16] Speaker 2: and so you know, I'm happy to tell you know
[44:20] Speaker 2: I've gotten, you know, some ridicule. Well, obviously it was
[44:23] Speaker 2: probably a bear. Well I find that kind of hard
[44:27] Speaker 2: to believe because I don't know very many eight foot
[44:29] Speaker 2: tall bears that can run on two legs as fast
[44:31] Speaker 2: as the thing ran. Like, I just don't see where
[44:34] Speaker 2: that's plausible. I just don't. So you know, we can
[44:38] Speaker 2: try you know, we can try it again. You know.
[44:41] Speaker 2: So I have had the handful of people that are like, yeah,
[44:44] Speaker 2: I know, you just you just thought you saw one. No, No,
[44:47] Speaker 2: I'm pretty I'm pretty sure I saw it. You know,
[44:50] Speaker 2: you don't have to believe it. I'm not out here
[44:52] Speaker 2: to convince people, you know, one way or another. I'm
[44:55] Speaker 2: just act here telling a story of what I saw,
[44:58] Speaker 2: and and you know, take it, you know, take it
[45:00] Speaker 2: or believe it, you know, however you want to interpret it.
[45:03] Speaker 2: But I know what I saw.
[45:05] Speaker 1: Yeah. That's all you can do is just tell what
[45:08] Speaker 1: you experienced, and that's it. Before you had that sighting,
[45:11] Speaker 1: you've already established the fact that you were an open
[45:14] Speaker 1: minded skeptic. But your wife was already interested in sasquatch.
[45:18] Speaker 1: What made her interested in them before he had that experience?
[45:21] Speaker 1: Had she already had a sighting of her own?
[45:24] Speaker 2: Well, she hadn't had any sightings. Her story is when
[45:28] Speaker 2: she was younger, her father was a Vietnam veteran, and
[45:34] Speaker 2: he saw a lot of things over there that were questionable.
[45:40] Speaker 2: One of them, we believe was some Sasquatch sightings there.
[45:45] Speaker 2: He came home. He never really would talk about anything
[45:48] Speaker 2: Sasquatch related, but he really piqued her interest. He was
[45:55] Speaker 2: a firm believer in things died. You know, at about
[45:58] Speaker 2: the same time the show Harry and the Hendersons came out,
[46:01] Speaker 2: which you know, obviously is a comedy and things where
[46:05] Speaker 2: you know, Harry was a Sasquatch and things like that,
[46:07] Speaker 2: and my wife always said, well, you know, when I was.
[46:09] Speaker 3: Younger, you know, I always wanted to Harry, you know,
[46:12] Speaker 3: and you know her her father believing you know, they
[46:16] Speaker 3: existed obviously, well you know, this is just for fun
[46:19] Speaker 3: to pretend, you know, this is this isn't really how
[46:21] Speaker 3: they are.
[46:24] Speaker 2: She has always believed, and he's passed away now, but
[46:27] Speaker 2: she had always believed, just the way he would react
[46:30] Speaker 2: when the subject came up, that he had to have
[46:32] Speaker 2: had an encounter with one over in Vietnam at some point.
[46:38] Speaker 2: That was one of the things that he just would
[46:40] Speaker 2: not talk about. So that kind of got piqued her
[46:44] Speaker 2: interest in cryptis in general. Not only that, but dug
[46:47] Speaker 2: Me and then some of the other ones mothedman, rakes,
[46:52] Speaker 2: different different things, you know, different other creatures. But that's
[46:57] Speaker 2: what got her started about when she I believe she
[46:59] Speaker 2: said she was eight when when all that happened, and
[47:02] Speaker 2: she'd been pretty much had a curiosity about him ever since,
[47:06] Speaker 2: and you know, when we got married and we started
[47:09] Speaker 2: dating and things like that. When she first brought it
[47:11] Speaker 2: up to me, I kind of looked at her like
[47:12] Speaker 2: she had, you know, less she had lost her mind,
[47:14] Speaker 2: like Bigfoot, you know, because there wasn't something when I
[47:17] Speaker 2: had grown up that was ever. I mean we you know,
[47:21] Speaker 2: we never as a family really disgusted or anything like that.
[47:26] Speaker 2: I do know they were there, and I figured they
[47:28] Speaker 2: were folklore. You know, there's jokes made about them. You know.
[47:34] Speaker 2: I was watching a wrestling event on TV. One of
[47:40] Speaker 2: the characters who was a bad guy that his job
[47:45] Speaker 2: is to get a rise out of the crowd saying, oh, yeah,
[47:47] Speaker 2: we're in this town. I guess you guys believe Bigfoot
[47:50] Speaker 2: exists too, right, ha ha ha ha type of thing.
[47:53] Speaker 2: So most people view it as as a folklore. Most
[47:57] Speaker 2: people view it as something that's in storybooks or you know,
[48:01] Speaker 2: people are crazy when they see them and things like that.
[48:05] Speaker 2: You're always going to have that crowd, and that's gonna
[48:07] Speaker 2: be the unfortunate part for the big Foot community as
[48:10] Speaker 2: a whole is you know, the more advanced we get
[48:15] Speaker 2: or the more we find, the more it's gonna probably
[48:19] Speaker 2: be dismissed. So I don't know if we're ever gonna
[48:22] Speaker 2: ever put the Sasquatch thay to bed. I think that
[48:25] Speaker 2: you're gonna have people who have their encounters that believe
[48:28] Speaker 2: that know what they saw or suspect they know what
[48:30] Speaker 2: they saw, and you're gonna have other ones that are
[48:32] Speaker 2: just never gonna believe them. I just think this is
[48:34] Speaker 2: gonna be a vicious cycle that's never gonna hint.
[48:37] Speaker 1: Yeah, people get pretty tribal when it comes to this topic.
[48:40] Speaker 1: It's just one of those things I guess either believe
[48:43] Speaker 1: or you don't. And man, that's all there is to it.
[48:46] Speaker 2: Now.
[48:46] Speaker 1: You said that you've got woods all around you. Howd
[48:49] Speaker 1: mode is your property though I'm still unclear on that.
[48:52] Speaker 2: Well, it's so we live in a subdivision and it's
[48:56] Speaker 2: just about eight houses on one particul Well, I'm sorry,
[49:01] Speaker 2: there're two streets technically, but between the two streets we
[49:06] Speaker 2: have about eight houses that are that are kind of
[49:08] Speaker 2: sporadically through here. Once you go down the road a
[49:13] Speaker 2: little bit, we have other subdivisions, but we're kind of
[49:16] Speaker 2: in a little alcove of our own over here. We
[49:20] Speaker 2: have woods kind of surrounding us. And we're at like
[49:23] Speaker 2: I said, we live in the Appalachian Mountains, uh where
[49:26] Speaker 2: we kind of live in one of the mountain lines
[49:29] Speaker 2: there on the Appalachian Mountains. In southwest Virginia. Our entire
[49:35] Speaker 2: side of our state is wooded for the most part.
[49:39] Speaker 2: You do have your your bigger city, you know, you
[49:41] Speaker 2: do have a metropolitan areas, not many in southwest Virginia,
[49:46] Speaker 2: but you have like Richmond, which is kind of the
[49:49] Speaker 2: capital of the state. And of course when you get
[49:51] Speaker 2: further into northern Virginia. But I do know that there
[49:54] Speaker 2: are documented sightings even in Northern Virginia, higher populated areas
[49:58] Speaker 2: that that also do have woods. But you know these things,
[50:02] Speaker 2: We've got reports from all over the state. As a
[50:05] Speaker 2: matter of fact, we have a couple of very credible sightings,
[50:09] Speaker 2: probably twenty five minutes from my house in the next
[50:13] Speaker 2: county over, which is a very rural county that doesn't
[50:17] Speaker 2: have a whole lot of population at all, we have
[50:19] Speaker 2: several sightings. Very the VFRO has several very credible sightings,
[50:28] Speaker 2: probably about again out of that one county that's about
[50:31] Speaker 2: twenty five minutes from US. I do believe that there
[50:34] Speaker 2: is a lot of them around here. I believe there's
[50:38] Speaker 2: a lot of them in any mountainous region as you
[50:39] Speaker 2: go to across the country. I don't think, you know,
[50:43] Speaker 2: especially in the lower forty eight. I don't know if
[50:46] Speaker 2: any states that have not had at least one sighting.
[50:51] Speaker 2: I can't speak to Alaska or Hawaii, but I can
[50:53] Speaker 2: tell you the lower forty eight. I'm pretty sure every
[50:56] Speaker 2: state has had at least one sighting, multiple sightings most likely,
[51:00] Speaker 2: but you know, credible documented from you know, well told stories.
[51:05] Speaker 2: You know, researchers have gone out and looked, and you
[51:08] Speaker 2: know they've either found footprints. You know there's some really
[51:11] Speaker 2: really good castid footprints out there. Uh, you know in
[51:17] Speaker 2: rock formations, and you know the different things where you
[51:20] Speaker 2: know they take trees and they shake trees and you
[51:23] Speaker 2: know all the things. And I can take you just
[51:26] Speaker 2: based off the one that I saw just for two seconds.
[51:29] Speaker 2: I mean it was big enough to say I mean
[51:31] Speaker 2: not maybe not the huge trees with the big old trunks.
[51:34] Speaker 2: But you know, could they topple tree? I'm sure they
[51:36] Speaker 2: probably could if they really wanted to.
[51:39] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they even topple big trees. That's just one
[51:42] Speaker 1: of those things I just don't understand. I mean, to
[51:44] Speaker 1: topple trees like very credible eyewitnesses report seeing them topple.
[51:49] Speaker 1: I think they'd have to be supernatural beings. But yeah,
[51:52] Speaker 1: that's another whole topic for a different day. But Zach,
[51:56] Speaker 1: you said it was a brownish black color. Is it
[52:00] Speaker 1: wasn't that far from you? So with that in mind,
[52:03] Speaker 1: could you see its face well enough to see any
[52:05] Speaker 1: emotion on its face before it gruffed at you and
[52:09] Speaker 1: flew away.
[52:10] Speaker 2: Not really. I can tell you that the hair was longer,
[52:13] Speaker 2: almost like a long hair, like a dog breed with
[52:18] Speaker 2: the longer hair. It had longer hair, didn't have the
[52:22] Speaker 2: short hair. I'm trying to think of a dog breed
[52:27] Speaker 2: that would like it. Maybe like a golden retriever is
[52:30] Speaker 2: the best one I can come up with. It's got
[52:33] Speaker 2: the longer hair. Wasn't super long, but it was. It
[52:35] Speaker 2: was almost like a golden retriever. It was brown again,
[52:41] Speaker 2: The best way I can describe it is brownish black.
[52:44] Speaker 2: It wasn't black enough to be the classic black bear
[52:47] Speaker 2: that we see here. It wasn't also, Yeah, that's unfortunately,
[52:54] Speaker 2: and that's the only way I really know how to
[52:55] Speaker 2: describe it was it was lighter than a black bear,
[52:58] Speaker 2: but it wasn't brown. Was a very dark brown with
[53:02] Speaker 2: hair almost like a golden retriever.
[53:05] Speaker 1: Huh. Those are good descriptions. I think I can paint
[53:08] Speaker 1: the picture of what you saw that day, So yeah,
[53:11] Speaker 1: good job on that.
[53:13] Speaker 2: Now.
[53:13] Speaker 1: Did it have a round head or somewhat of a
[53:16] Speaker 1: pointed crest on the top of its head?
[53:18] Speaker 2: It was what do you call it? Maybe cone? Not
[53:23] Speaker 2: like a classic cone like you would think of a
[53:25] Speaker 2: like a like a you know, like a waffle cone
[53:28] Speaker 2: type of shape. It was more on a cole. It's
[53:32] Speaker 2: really hard to describe. I didn't see it for a
[53:36] Speaker 2: tremendous amount of time, too. I wish now that I
[53:40] Speaker 2: would have at the time. I'm glad I always saw
[53:42] Speaker 2: it for two seconds. Looking back, I kind of wish
[53:45] Speaker 2: I could have gotten a little better of a It
[53:49] Speaker 2: had a peek and it kind of came down a
[53:52] Speaker 2: little bit. It really didn't appear to have much of
[53:56] Speaker 2: a neck. But again I didn't get to see. I mean,
[54:01] Speaker 2: what I saw at the front of it was maybe
[54:02] Speaker 2: a quarter of a second before it turned. It turned
[54:06] Speaker 2: and took off as far as like strides and different things,
[54:12] Speaker 2: I saw its arms go back, But like, that's the
[54:14] Speaker 2: best I can really come up with is just the
[54:19] Speaker 2: very brief time I saw it. I definitely, you know,
[54:24] Speaker 2: I can recall it pretty good. You know, I think
[54:26] Speaker 2: every traumatic event you have, and I do think it
[54:28] Speaker 2: was to me, I classified it as a traumatic event.
[54:32] Speaker 2: Every traumatic event you tend to be able to recall
[54:34] Speaker 2: pretty good. So yeah, as far as as far as
[54:41] Speaker 2: the head, it was it was kind of pointing at
[54:43] Speaker 2: the top lightly, almost like a cone with no neck.
[54:49] Speaker 2: And I remember the hair, and I remember the one arm,
[54:53] Speaker 2: but I really didn't get a good look at the
[54:55] Speaker 2: bottom of it at all. Unfortunate.
[55:01] Speaker 1: Oh that's all right. I think you did a great
[55:03] Speaker 1: job noticing what you did. Most people wouldn't have taken
[55:06] Speaker 1: in nearly that much. So yeah, you did a really
[55:09] Speaker 1: good job on that. When it took off, though the
[55:12] Speaker 1: way it did, did it seemed to be contacting the
[55:14] Speaker 1: ground or in a way floating.
[55:18] Speaker 2: That is a very good question. I never really thought that.
[55:20] Speaker 2: To be honest with you, Nick, that's the first time
[55:23] Speaker 2: I've ever been asked that. It's really hard to tell.
[55:28] Speaker 2: What I can say is that when it took off,
[55:33] Speaker 2: you would think something that large would make some noise running, right,
[55:37] Speaker 2: You would think that there would be like, you know,
[55:42] Speaker 2: breakage and things like that. The only thing I heard
[55:45] Speaker 2: was it seriously sounded like if you've ever roam something
[55:51] Speaker 2: through the trees, like a walnut or a baseball or softball,
[55:56] Speaker 2: something to that effect. And the noise that it makes
[55:59] Speaker 2: when it's kind of like that's the best way I
[56:03] Speaker 2: can describe it. So I'm not against the whole floating
[56:09] Speaker 2: theory only because it's very difficult to believe that something
[56:14] Speaker 2: so large would not make any sounds as it was running.
[56:18] Speaker 2: But it didn't. There was no snapping of twigs or
[56:22] Speaker 2: anything to that effect. There was normal noise outside, you know.
[56:27] Speaker 2: I you know, like I said, I had my EarPods in,
[56:29] Speaker 2: but the music was stopped and I had pretty much
[56:32] Speaker 2: stopped everything at that point because I had it up
[56:34] Speaker 2: kind of loud to go over the noise of the
[56:37] Speaker 2: long equipment. So anytime I have to do anything, and
[56:41] Speaker 2: so with this day, if I have to do anything
[56:42] Speaker 2: with the long equipment, I'm going to cut my music
[56:44] Speaker 2: off because it's very loud and it's kind of then
[56:48] Speaker 2: I've had to fish my phone out of my pocket,
[56:50] Speaker 2: adjust the volume and things like that. It's just easier
[56:52] Speaker 2: for me to reach up and just squeeze it one
[56:54] Speaker 2: time and pause it, so I've always done that. So
[56:58] Speaker 2: I didn't have anything playing at the time, Like I said,
[57:01] Speaker 2: it was normal noise. Maybe track I couldn't. I couldn't
[57:03] Speaker 2: take if there was a car going up down the
[57:04] Speaker 2: road at the time or not. It's fairly quiet and
[57:09] Speaker 2: the one whole lot of the least out. But I
[57:13] Speaker 2: find it it's very difficult, and it's always baffled me
[57:15] Speaker 2: as to how something so large and go so fast
[57:20] Speaker 2: and maybe no more noise than what it did. So
[57:22] Speaker 2: the floating thing is a vast possibility.
[57:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of eyewitnesses report that it's almost like
[57:28] Speaker 1: the sasquatch was floating. So that's why I was wondering
[57:32] Speaker 1: about that. Now here's another question that you might not
[57:35] Speaker 1: have thought about, and this just might explain the tear
[57:38] Speaker 1: that you felt, but I don't know. That's why I'm
[57:40] Speaker 1: going to ask you about this what I'm getting at
[57:42] Speaker 1: is finding out that the f sasquatch coming to your
[57:45] Speaker 1: property is one thing if you don't have kids, of course,
[57:49] Speaker 1: but you've got more than one and they're still all small.
[57:53] Speaker 1: Were you possibly more traumatized due to your concern for
[57:56] Speaker 1: their safety or do you think it was just from
[57:58] Speaker 1: the sudden shock of realizing sasquatch or real in that
[58:02] Speaker 1: you have when coming around.
[58:04] Speaker 2: Well, it could have been a combination of everything, because
[58:08] Speaker 2: you know, if if fear isn't one of those things
[58:11] Speaker 2: that you know, everybody one has different levels of it,
[58:14] Speaker 2: and some people scared more easily than others, and you know,
[58:18] Speaker 2: some people are more fearful of other people not so much.
[58:21] Speaker 2: I follow into kind of the not so much category.
[58:24] Speaker 2: Not that I don't get scared. I don't want anybody
[58:26] Speaker 2: to think that I don't get scared, because they do.
[58:29] Speaker 2: It's just difficult or I don't get as scared as easily.
[58:33] Speaker 2: I don't recall any other time in my life I
[58:36] Speaker 2: have been that scared prior to that event, and I
[58:40] Speaker 2: have not been that scared since that event. I don't
[58:43] Speaker 2: know if it was something subconscious, I don't know. You
[58:46] Speaker 2: know you said something about zapping earlier. I never thought
[58:49] Speaker 2: of that before that. I didn't feel like I lost
[58:52] Speaker 2: any time, and I didn't feel like but do you,
[58:56] Speaker 2: I mean, if you haven't been, if if it's never
[58:58] Speaker 2: happened to you, you're really not But I know what
[59:00] Speaker 2: to expect. I don't know. I was definitely fearful for
[59:07] Speaker 2: you know. I didn't want anybody to go back there
[59:09] Speaker 2: for a while. They did. I didn't want to go
[59:15] Speaker 2: and it took me, like I said, about a couple
[59:16] Speaker 2: of weeks. And I remember the first couple two or
[59:19] Speaker 2: three times I went back there, I had someone with me. Now,
[59:22] Speaker 2: I didn't make them stay with me. We have a
[59:25] Speaker 2: deck off the backyard, so you come out of our
[59:29] Speaker 2: door onto a deck. They step up on the deck
[59:32] Speaker 2: and you can see across the entire backyard of the deck.
[59:36] Speaker 2: So I just had somebody sit out there with me
[59:39] Speaker 2: at the time. It's really hard to say that, to
[59:42] Speaker 2: be honest. You could have been a combination of everything.
[59:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, it would make sense if that's what it was. Combination.
[59:50] Speaker 1: What kinds of changes did you make to what your
[59:52] Speaker 1: kids were allowed to do and not allowed to do
[59:55] Speaker 1: around the property after seeing that Sasquatch.
[59:58] Speaker 2: Well honestly I did. We didn't make a whole lot
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: of adjustments where it was. We don't really go over
[1:00:05] Speaker 2: there anyway. I've only been over there since this happened,
[1:00:09] Speaker 2: and after we initially went over there to see if
[1:00:11] Speaker 2: we could find anything broken, see any footprints. Again, it
[1:00:16] Speaker 2: hadn't rained and quite sometimes, so the ground wasn't soft,
[1:00:18] Speaker 2: so we didn't find any footprints. I went over there
[1:00:21] Speaker 2: at one point. Tiff went over there at one point
[1:00:23] Speaker 2: to just kind of kind of get an idea of
[1:00:26] Speaker 2: how tall it was based off of where I saw, because,
[1:00:30] Speaker 2: like I said, when I called her, she came down there.
[1:00:34] Speaker 2: When she got to me, I still had not taken
[1:00:38] Speaker 2: my eyes off of where I saw it, because I
[1:00:41] Speaker 2: desperately wanted to get as accurate of a height as
[1:00:44] Speaker 2: I possibly could, and the only way to do that
[1:00:47] Speaker 2: was to spot something that I could find again, So
[1:00:51] Speaker 2: it took me a little while to do that. So
[1:00:54] Speaker 2: I finally found a place to where I thought it
[1:00:57] Speaker 2: was fairly fairly close. I would say probably, I mean
[1:01:03] Speaker 2: it maybe a couple of inches off, but it wasn't far.
[1:01:08] Speaker 2: That measurement was about eight and a half feet. It
[1:01:11] Speaker 2: could have been a little taller. It could have been
[1:01:13] Speaker 2: a little shorter. It was about eight and a half
[1:01:15] Speaker 2: feet very tall, which was another thing that when you
[1:01:20] Speaker 2: just look up, you don't expect to see something like that.
[1:01:24] Speaker 2: The shock is something I can't even describe. It's just
[1:01:28] Speaker 2: because you go from an open minded skeptic to there's
[1:01:32] Speaker 2: this thing standing there that you didn't really know if
[1:01:35] Speaker 2: it existed or not. You were willing to accept that
[1:01:38] Speaker 2: it did or you were willing and it wasn't. But now,
[1:01:41] Speaker 2: by golly, you see this thing and you're trying to
[1:01:43] Speaker 2: process it, and you're having difficulty processing it. And then
[1:01:47] Speaker 2: at the same time you're trying to think, well, that's
[1:01:48] Speaker 2: a big bear or that's a big deer. Well, I'm sorry,
[1:01:52] Speaker 2: bear deer are an eight and a half feet tall. They
[1:01:55] Speaker 2: just aren't. They're not that tall. There's not a bear
[1:01:58] Speaker 2: in well, I can't. Then maybe a grizzly bear, but
[1:02:00] Speaker 2: we don't have grizzly bear here. Well, on top of
[1:02:02] Speaker 2: the fact that grizzly bear would have been more toward
[1:02:04] Speaker 2: a great collar than a reddish black collar. So you know,
[1:02:08] Speaker 2: you're thinking all these crazy things at first and trying
[1:02:11] Speaker 2: to think, well, surely that's not what I saw and
[1:02:14] Speaker 2: then you've ruled everything else out and you've had help,
[1:02:18] Speaker 2: and you know, Tiff called some of her people and
[1:02:20] Speaker 2: they're like, you know, they're asking questions, Well, you know,
[1:02:23] Speaker 2: what about this and what about that? No, it couldn't
[1:02:25] Speaker 2: have been that, And they said, well, then I don't
[1:02:27] Speaker 2: know what else it could have possibly been other than
[1:02:30] Speaker 2: a sasquatch. We literally tried to rule everything else out.
[1:02:33] Speaker 2: And I think that's healthy to do. If you see something,
[1:02:35] Speaker 2: you want to try the rules to see if there's
[1:02:37] Speaker 2: anything simple that you can come up with, but there's not,
[1:02:42] Speaker 2: and only leave one other thing. And so I think
[1:02:45] Speaker 2: that's kind of you know, it took me a couple
[1:02:47] Speaker 2: of days to actually reconcile that's got to be what
[1:02:49] Speaker 2: it was.
[1:02:51] Speaker 1: Oh, it's only natural. You have an experience like that,
[1:02:53] Speaker 1: you're going to evaluate it and evaluated, but eventually you're
[1:02:57] Speaker 1: going to circle right back around and come to the realiza. Okay, well, yeah,
[1:03:01] Speaker 1: I saw a sasquatch and that's all there is to it.
[1:03:05] Speaker 1: There are a lot of sasquatch investigators who lived close.
[1:03:08] Speaker 2: To you, there is, Zach.
[1:03:09] Speaker 1: Did you ever contact any of them and ask them
[1:03:11] Speaker 1: to come out?
[1:03:13] Speaker 2: Honestly, we never had anyone come out, But I know
[1:03:16] Speaker 2: my wife talked to a ton of people about it.
[1:03:20] Speaker 2: I couldn't even tell you who all she did talk to,
[1:03:22] Speaker 2: and it sounded like everyone pretty much came up with
[1:03:25] Speaker 2: the same conclusion that that's kind of what it was.
[1:03:28] Speaker 2: I think the reason why, the biggest reason why I
[1:03:31] Speaker 2: wasn't really think anybody was going to come out, or
[1:03:35] Speaker 2: we didn't really bring anyone out, was for the simple
[1:03:37] Speaker 2: lack of evidence that we found. We didn't find anything broken,
[1:03:40] Speaker 2: We didn't find any footprints. The only thing I really
[1:03:43] Speaker 2: had to go on was a spot on a tree
[1:03:45] Speaker 2: or a spot in the branches coming off the tree
[1:03:48] Speaker 2: where this thing was. There was no evidence over there
[1:03:52] Speaker 2: of anything running through there, and you would think something
[1:03:54] Speaker 2: that large would make some type of path, or there
[1:04:00] Speaker 2: would be something disturbed. There's no graphs over there, obviously
[1:04:04] Speaker 2: it's all trees. But I didn't see any any bizarre
[1:04:07] Speaker 2: branch break. I mean, there was some broken limbs there,
[1:04:10] Speaker 2: but you know, could it have been Sasquatch. It could
[1:04:12] Speaker 2: have been, but it could have been just a wind
[1:04:14] Speaker 2: blew them down. I meant, there was no hard evidence
[1:04:17] Speaker 2: that there was anything even went through there, which was
[1:04:19] Speaker 2: crazy to me again, how something so large can cause
[1:04:24] Speaker 2: so little damage when the escapes, Like, how does that happen?
[1:04:28] Speaker 1: I know, it's so hard to wrap your mind around.
[1:04:30] Speaker 1: But rest assured, exactly, there are tons and tons of
[1:04:33] Speaker 1: credible eyewitnesses just like you who report that this is
[1:04:36] Speaker 1: a Sasquatch. It runs through the woods like that, and
[1:04:40] Speaker 1: it doesn't don't leave much in the way of any trees.
[1:04:42] Speaker 1: So it's just one of the many things it's so
[1:04:45] Speaker 1: hard to figure out about these guys.
[1:04:47] Speaker 2: It really is. It's mine knowing I don't get it.
[1:04:51] Speaker 2: I don't and to this day, thinking back on it,
[1:04:54] Speaker 2: I have no idea how that happened. And I know
[1:04:56] Speaker 2: some people have suggested that there may be you know,
[1:04:58] Speaker 2: like portals and different things like that, and I'm open
[1:05:01] Speaker 2: to that. I'm open to the fact that this thing
[1:05:04] Speaker 2: could be supernatural. Some people have suggested that they use
[1:05:08] Speaker 2: cave systems to pop in and out of places. I
[1:05:12] Speaker 2: know there are vast cave systems around. Some people have
[1:05:16] Speaker 2: suggested they use interdimensional ports, and that could be a
[1:05:19] Speaker 2: possibility as well. I'm not dismissing any of it, because
[1:05:23] Speaker 2: I'm telling you, this thing went in a real big
[1:05:26] Speaker 2: hurry and cast little to no damage. So something like
[1:05:29] Speaker 2: that has to be true.
[1:05:31] Speaker 1: Well, if they are supernatural beings, that would definitely explain
[1:05:34] Speaker 1: a lot of this, It really would. But having said that,
[1:05:39] Speaker 1: it's about time for us to get out of here.
[1:05:40] Speaker 1: Before we do, though, I just want to thank you
[1:05:42] Speaker 1: so much for coming on sharing the details of that
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: experience with this. I really appreciate it.
[1:05:48] Speaker 2: Yes, sir, I'm glad to be here, happy to happy
[1:05:52] Speaker 2: to have you and appreciate you inviting me. I just
[1:05:56] Speaker 2: you know again, I'm always down to tell the story
