Nikki Sixx answered a fan asking why Mötley Crüe use backing tracks — and traced the whole practice back to Queen and "Bohemian Rhapsody" in 1975. Scott Penfold breaks down the distinction everybody argues past: the difference between augmenting a live show and replacing one, and the one piece of evidence John 5 offered that actually holds up. Plus Anthrax release the video for "Everybody's Got A Plan," the third single from Cursum Perficio — their first album in ten years, out September 18, recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606. And the Latin title translates to something worth thinking about. And a new documentary, "Neil Peart: No One's Disciple," debuts on CBC September 23, featuring Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson performing Rush songs with Chad Smith, Stewart Copeland and Danny Carey filling Peart's seat.
