[0:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Check one two, Check one two.
[0:04] Speaker 2: Is this Mike On?
[0:05] Speaker 1: Is this Mike On?
[0:06] Speaker 3: Hey? Listen man, it's the one and only Trunks that
[0:08] Speaker 3: a DJ system and you're listening to cocktails Dirty Discussions
[0:12] Speaker 3: with Kikia Medina Monroe.
[0:14] Speaker 1: Here. Today's cocktail is called a snow globe margarita. So
[0:24] Speaker 1: this is a good festive holiday drink. So for this one,
[0:27] Speaker 1: you're gonna need two ounces of white cranberry juice, an
[0:30] Speaker 1: ounce of lime juice, one and a half ounces of
[0:33] Speaker 1: tequila of your choice. You'll need some frozen cranberries. I
[0:36] Speaker 1: forgot mine at home, but it's really just gonna add
[0:38] Speaker 1: a little razzle dazzle to the finished product some edible glitter.
[0:42] Speaker 1: You'll need a cocktail glass, a clear fillable ornament, and
[0:46] Speaker 1: a little glitter. So what you're gonna do is you'll
[0:49] Speaker 1: take your cocktail glass that'll be the final thing, and
[0:53] Speaker 1: you're gonna fill it up with ice, put a little
[0:55] Speaker 1: rosemary sprig in there for garnish, and if you have
[0:59] Speaker 1: the frozen cranberry you would put them in there just
[1:01] Speaker 1: a few and so then you'll take a cocktail shaker
[1:04] Speaker 1: and you're going to fill that with ice and then
[1:06] Speaker 1: we're gonna add in our liquid ingredients. So see we've
[1:09] Speaker 1: got the cranberry juice and this one, if you wanted
[1:12] Speaker 1: it to be a mocktail, it could be a motail.
[1:15] Speaker 1: You would just add in place of the tequila, put
[1:19] Speaker 1: some sparkling water, and then, of course, remember don't put
[1:23] Speaker 1: the sparkling water in your shaker. So we've got the tequila.
[1:27] Speaker 1: Then we'll add in the lime juice. Teqitha. All right,
[1:34] Speaker 1: So my ornament it has a decent size opening. If
[1:39] Speaker 1: your ornament has a small opening, or your little light
[1:43] Speaker 1: on your hands, I mean heavy on your hands, you
[1:45] Speaker 1: might want to use a little funnel or something just
[1:47] Speaker 1: so that you don't make a mess. And then we're
[1:50] Speaker 1: gonna take the ornament. We'll put a little dash of
[1:53] Speaker 1: the glitter in there because it's gonna make it sparkle.
[1:58] Speaker 1: We're gonna take our shaker shake this salt up. So
[2:06] Speaker 1: what you're gonna do to make this super cute is
[2:09] Speaker 1: you'll pour your ingredients in here. Depending on the size
[2:14] Speaker 1: of your ornament will determine how much we'll fit. If
[2:19] Speaker 1: you can get the big ones, get the big ones,
[2:22] Speaker 1: and then when you serve it, you serve it like this,
[2:26] Speaker 1: and whenever somebody's ready to drink it, you'll just take it,
[2:30] Speaker 1: turn it upside down and you have a snow globe
[2:33] Speaker 1: Margarita cheers.
[2:38] Speaker 4: On the first day of Christmas, my true love gate
[2:41] Speaker 4: to me.
[2:43] Speaker 2: A game off. I'm curious to know.
[2:45] Speaker 1: Well, welcome back to cocktails Jerry Discussions. You guys. Hey, y'all,
[2:48] Speaker 1: so I just made these oop oop Mine is sinking
[2:51] Speaker 1: in there, so oh sho. So what you're gonna do?
[2:56] Speaker 1: Yours should not sink because mine already had liquid. So
[2:58] Speaker 1: you will un screw your order, give it a shake.
[3:02] Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
[3:03] Speaker 1: You see the glitter, Okay, now unscrew it and pour
[3:08] Speaker 1: it it into your thing.
[3:13] Speaker 2: And then take your globe out.
[3:14] Speaker 1: But these are fun, and then this is something that
[3:17] Speaker 1: you could make this part, the little ornament part early
[3:20] Speaker 1: if you were having a party or something, and then
[3:22] Speaker 1: as people get there, get the ice. And also added
[3:26] Speaker 1: a little rosemary spree because it kind of looks like
[3:28] Speaker 1: pine needles for a Christmas tree. So you know, if
[3:30] Speaker 1: you're feeling festive this Christmas season, go ahead and try
[3:34] Speaker 1: out one of our holiday tree.
[3:36] Speaker 3: And I like that it's really light, like this doesn't
[3:38] Speaker 3: seem like a Christmas drink where someone's gonna be drunk
[3:40] Speaker 3: and embarrassing Christmas.
[3:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just a it's just a shot of tequila
[3:44] Speaker 1: in there and that's it and some juice and ice,
[3:46] Speaker 1: lot's of vice.
[3:47] Speaker 3: Yes, okay, guys. So this week on Cocktails, we have
[3:51] Speaker 3: a very special guest. We have a Gurriel coriol from
[3:56] Speaker 3: Girls Stop Playing Podcasts.
[4:00] Speaker 5: I love being on this side, so thank you.
[4:02] Speaker 1: Isn't it fun? It's different, right?
[4:03] Speaker 5: Yes, no pressure, all eyes on you. Oh pressure.
[4:08] Speaker 1: So tell us what your show is about.
[4:11] Speaker 6: So Girls Stop Playing podcasts. It's all about encouraging black
[4:14] Speaker 6: women to stop playing with their potential and start working for.
[4:17] Speaker 5: What they want.
[4:17] Speaker 6: I transitioned from Confessions of a Workaholic podcast, which was
[4:22] Speaker 6: all about entrepreneurship, and I felt like my voice was
[4:25] Speaker 6: getting lost in the black women make money, make money, climb, climb,
[4:29] Speaker 6: climb conversation when I really know that we have to
[4:33] Speaker 6: be able to make the money, but we also want
[4:35] Speaker 6: to get the honey. So Girls Stop Playing kind of
[4:37] Speaker 6: brings together both of those desires, which you know a
[4:41] Speaker 6: lot of, or at least my audience has.
[4:43] Speaker 2: I like that.
[4:44] Speaker 3: Did you find that when you were doing the get money,
[4:47] Speaker 3: get money. We get money as women, and we wear
[4:49] Speaker 3: business power suits all day. Did you find that it
[4:52] Speaker 3: was hard to get fine love or to date.
[4:56] Speaker 5: I don't think that.
[4:56] Speaker 6: It was necessarily hard. It just wasn't the priority. It
[4:59] Speaker 6: wasn't the focus. Nothing is hard when you, you know,
[5:02] Speaker 6: focus on a creative plan and you know, take action
[5:04] Speaker 6: behind it. But a lot of people are focusing on
[5:07] Speaker 6: the make money, make money, make money, and that is
[5:09] Speaker 6: kind of clouding their I guess capacity to be able
[5:12] Speaker 6: to focus on the other side.
[5:14] Speaker 2: But were you people? Oh?
[5:16] Speaker 5: Yes, I was people, Okay, I was people.
[5:18] Speaker 6: So so in addition to the podcast, I had a
[5:20] Speaker 6: whole business called the Single Wives Club. It was literally
[5:23] Speaker 6: single women preparing to become wives. So I was literally
[5:26] Speaker 6: working professionally in the relationship readiness space but not really
[5:30] Speaker 6: taking my own relationship status seriously. And the year that
[5:34] Speaker 6: I closed down that business is the year that I
[5:36] Speaker 6: met my husband.
[5:36] Speaker 5: Really, God was like, girls, stop playing.
[5:40] Speaker 1: Did a part of you want to stop that business
[5:43] Speaker 1: mainly because you wanted to be in a relationship and
[5:46] Speaker 1: you were like, this is taking up all my time?
[5:49] Speaker 5: No.
[5:49] Speaker 6: I stopped that business because the single women like got
[5:52] Speaker 6: on my they I ran into so many why do
[5:56] Speaker 6: I have to do anything for a man?
[5:58] Speaker 5: He should to take me as I am.
[5:59] Speaker 6: Kind of a conversation which my whole mission and message
[6:02] Speaker 6: was never do X y Z to get a man.
[6:05] Speaker 6: It was become a better woman before becoming a wife.
[6:07] Speaker 6: That was my whole for the single for the single yeah,
[6:11] Speaker 6: for the single wife's club, because it's if you become
[6:12] Speaker 6: the best woman that you could be, you're going to
[6:14] Speaker 6: attract better quality men. So it's not do this to
[6:17] Speaker 6: to get that, but it's do this because this is
[6:20] Speaker 6: truly for you.
[6:21] Speaker 5: This is what's best for you. So whatever that is,
[6:22] Speaker 5: do that.
[6:23] Speaker 6: And so it was it came down to me literally
[6:26] Speaker 6: fighting against the people that I was trying to help
[6:28] Speaker 6: because I'm like, well, let's focus on improving, and they're like,
[6:31] Speaker 6: girl delivered me a man. They wanted a matchmaker, and
[6:33] Speaker 6: I was never a matchmaker. That was never it. But
[6:35] Speaker 6: I did find that when I stopped focusing solely on
[6:38] Speaker 6: the professional my professional goals and really got serious about
[6:41] Speaker 6: my personal goals, which was marriage, that is when you know,
[6:45] Speaker 6: things didn't necessarily fall into place, but I started.
[6:47] Speaker 5: Being serious and taking action towards that goal.
[6:50] Speaker 1: And taking your own advice. Well, congratulations and married.
[6:55] Speaker 6: Yeah so our four year wedding anniversary is New Year's Day.
[7:00] Speaker 1: Oh well, early, congratulations, happy anniversary, all that good stuff.
[7:05] Speaker 2: I love that you're gonna have your anniversary and your
[7:08] Speaker 2: New Year's case.
[7:09] Speaker 6: Yes, that was I wanted to start the new year
[7:12] Speaker 6: with like a new life.
[7:13] Speaker 5: That was my thing. I always wanted a New Year's
[7:15] Speaker 5: Eve wedding for that reason.
[7:16] Speaker 3: I always wanted a New Year's Eve will because it
[7:20] Speaker 3: wasn't to start the new life.
[7:21] Speaker 2: But I like that I might steal it.
[7:22] Speaker 3: I got into my notes, But I think that the
[7:26] Speaker 3: idea of starting the new year off going to a
[7:29] Speaker 3: wedding like attending a wedding, because no one ever has
[7:32] Speaker 3: plans on New Year's Eve, and when you get older,
[7:34] Speaker 3: you're not going to the club, at least I'm not.
[7:36] Speaker 3: I would like to be at a if we're gonna
[7:38] Speaker 3: party at somebody's house, and it'd be like in a Yeah,
[7:42] Speaker 3: like we still get dressed up, we still get pretty imagined,
[7:45] Speaker 3: imagined doing had a wedding.
[7:46] Speaker 2: I love that you did that.
[7:47] Speaker 1: Yeah, well, we are going to play a quick round
[7:53] Speaker 1: or a quick few rounds of our game. I'm curious
[7:55] Speaker 1: to Know. If you guys would like to play I'm
[7:58] Speaker 1: Curious to Know as well, you can order it by
[8:01] Speaker 1: going to I'm Curious to Know dot com.
[8:03] Speaker 3: So, Coriol if you didn't know kickin, I came out
[8:06] Speaker 3: with a game. It's called I'm Curious to Know. And
[8:07] Speaker 3: we came out with this game to help people with
[8:11] Speaker 3: their conversations with the people they love, people you want
[8:14] Speaker 3: to have sex with, someone you might be on a
[8:16] Speaker 3: date with, because what we have discovered is that people
[8:19] Speaker 3: don't know how to talk, whether you're nervous or you're
[8:21] Speaker 3: just boring. So we're helping. We're helping, We're helping the people.
[8:25] Speaker 3: So I'll go first, Coriol. I am curious to know?
[8:29] Speaker 3: Do you know your love language?
[8:31] Speaker 5: I do what?
[8:33] Speaker 6: I am very much an acts of service girl. Take
[8:36] Speaker 6: care of some stuff for me, baby, Please make me.
[8:40] Speaker 6: I don't want to think about the things I love.
[8:43] Speaker 1: That. That's a good one. Okay. My question is how
[8:46] Speaker 1: did you meet your best friend? Oh?
[8:50] Speaker 6: So, I actually so, My best friend and I met.
[8:53] Speaker 6: We met in college. But I think what kind of
[8:56] Speaker 6: brought us together is she went through a bad breakup
[8:59] Speaker 6: in college and I felt very much so not necessarily
[9:04] Speaker 6: a big sister because she's older than me. But I
[9:06] Speaker 6: felt very like defensive, like yeah, like this is my girl,
[9:10] Speaker 6: and I feel like seeing her go through that was
[9:12] Speaker 6: so much humility and just like her goodness shining through
[9:18] Speaker 6: that to me was kind of what brought us together.
[9:19] Speaker 5: But we man in college.
[9:20] Speaker 3: Okay.
[9:21] Speaker 2: I love a good best friends story, especially if it lasts.
[9:25] Speaker 6: Girl, I have so many stories. This girl has saved
[9:27] Speaker 6: my life things have Yeah, this is.
[9:29] Speaker 5: Mine, girl.
[9:30] Speaker 2: Girl.
[9:31] Speaker 1: Where'd y'all go to school?
[9:32] Speaker 5: Tennessee State University? Okay, shout out to the HBCUs Right,
[9:35] Speaker 5: we all went to both and.
[9:38] Speaker 1: Howards Okay, Coreol.
[9:42] Speaker 3: I'm curious to know how do you feel about traditional
[9:46] Speaker 3: gender roles in a relationship.
[9:48] Speaker 5: Oh?
[9:51] Speaker 6: I am one of those want my cake and eat
[9:53] Speaker 6: it too kind of thing because I'm like, I want
[9:57] Speaker 6: you to follow your gender roles, but I want a
[9:59] Speaker 6: little flexible. You don't want, No, I don't want to
[10:04] Speaker 6: be because fair and balance leads down that like, well,
[10:07] Speaker 6: if you want to be fair, then are you paying
[10:09] Speaker 6: fifty percent of these bills?
[10:10] Speaker 5: I don't want to be that fair.
[10:11] Speaker 6: I don't want that much of us being have an equality.
[10:17] Speaker 6: I very much so appreciate my husband being what we
[10:21] Speaker 6: as a society would consider.
[10:22] Speaker 5: The man in our relationship.
[10:25] Speaker 6: However, he is very much so active father, which by
[10:29] Speaker 6: those same societal standards, that may not be the most
[10:32] Speaker 6: masculine thing.
[10:34] Speaker 5: I don't know.
[10:34] Speaker 6: I think times are changing now and men are looked
[10:36] Speaker 6: at as expected to be more active fathers. But I
[10:40] Speaker 6: I guess I do kind of appreciate the.
[10:43] Speaker 2: Gender roles attitude, or you don't have to feel bad.
[10:45] Speaker 3: I like when I read this question, I'm always like, Okay,
[10:48] Speaker 3: it doesn't really matter about how I feel about traditional
[10:51] Speaker 3: gender roles in a relationship. But what I do know
[10:53] Speaker 3: that's important is that man that comes into my life,
[10:55] Speaker 3: I want him to love traditional gender roles.
[10:58] Speaker 6: But then it goes But then it's like how far
[11:00] Speaker 6: with the tradition? How far do you want to go?
[11:02] Speaker 6: Because if he's very very traditional, that could mean girl,
[11:07] Speaker 6: what you're doing down at that podcast, you need to
[11:09] Speaker 6: be at this house with the that family is your
[11:11] Speaker 6: priority now.
[11:11] Speaker 5: So that's where it gets tricky.
[11:13] Speaker 7: It gets tricky, it does, and I think that's like
[11:16] Speaker 7: people grow up differently too, and so their idea of
[11:20] Speaker 7: what is traditional or normal or whatever could be very different.
[11:23] Speaker 1: And that's why We always say, y'all need to be
[11:25] Speaker 1: asking each other questions. Yeah, talking and getting a deep
[11:28] Speaker 1: understanding of what these things are when we say things
[11:32] Speaker 1: like traditional and stuff like that, because your traditional and
[11:35] Speaker 1: his traditional or her traditional may be different.
[11:37] Speaker 5: Totally different.
[11:38] Speaker 6: And I will say too, I wish I had these
[11:40] Speaker 6: cards when I was dating my husband because I can
[11:42] Speaker 6: tell you, hands down, the foundation of our relationship was
[11:46] Speaker 6: a friendship based on me asking every dad just had
[11:49] Speaker 6: a random question and it was not a put the
[11:51] Speaker 6: pressure on you because we're trying to dating. You got
[11:53] Speaker 6: to impress me with my It was like we were
[11:55] Speaker 6: friends and we were having these very open, random conversations things.
[12:01] Speaker 6: So y'all are definitely on the right path with people
[12:04] Speaker 6: ain't talking, y'all not asking the right questions.
[12:06] Speaker 2: People don't be talking. I'll just be like I talk
[12:09] Speaker 2: a lot.
[12:10] Speaker 1: You know this. Why don't you ask? If you don't
[12:12] Speaker 1: know you're asking me? Girl, I'm not here, Okay. Do
[12:16] Speaker 1: you think it's okay to remain friends with an X
[12:19] Speaker 1: when you're in a new relationship or your whole face
[12:22] Speaker 1: before the sin has even been in? Absolutely not no, no,
[12:27] Speaker 1: And why do you say, well, I think my personal
[12:30] Speaker 1: bad choices, and man, it has led me to not
[12:34] Speaker 1: ever want to see anybody I ever dated ever again
[12:36] Speaker 1: in life.
[12:37] Speaker 5: So because I.
[12:37] Speaker 6: Don't have relationships with those people, I couldn't imagine a
[12:40] Speaker 6: real need for anybody else to either. Yeah, it's just
[12:44] Speaker 6: totally me and my bad choices.
[12:47] Speaker 3: I know. This just made me think of something, And
[12:49] Speaker 3: I'm just gonna ask you a question has nothing to
[12:52] Speaker 3: do with me, y'all. Okay, how would you feel if
[12:57] Speaker 3: someone you were in a relationship with ex hit them
[13:01] Speaker 3: up and ask them to move their resume, like forward
[13:06] Speaker 3: their resume along to the job that they work at
[13:08] Speaker 3: because they want to work for that company. And the
[13:11] Speaker 3: person did it, the man who you're in a relationship
[13:14] Speaker 3: did it?
[13:15] Speaker 5: Did he do it.
[13:15] Speaker 6: After talking to this person that's not you? Because this
[13:20] Speaker 6: ain't just scenarios.
[13:21] Speaker 1: This isn't yours. This is somebody that somebody else.
[13:24] Speaker 6: But did they get a warning or did they get
[13:26] Speaker 6: the story after it was done?
[13:27] Speaker 2: The girlfriend?
[13:28] Speaker 5: His girl girlfriend?
[13:30] Speaker 2: They got the they just got the story after.
[13:34] Speaker 1: I would feel way about that. I'm not sure which
[13:36] Speaker 1: way it would make me make that face, but you
[13:39] Speaker 1: make it right, that's weird? Or like, why didn't you
[13:42] Speaker 1: say anything? Then I mean, you don't have the answers,
[13:45] Speaker 1: But I'm curious as to how it even came up
[13:47] Speaker 1: in the conversation because at this point exactly that if
[13:51] Speaker 1: you were going to do that and you knew it
[13:53] Speaker 1: was going to have me perturbed, why even tell me?
[13:57] Speaker 1: Because I would oftimes sometimes ignore if you're not up
[14:01] Speaker 1: to anything, but you know it like upset me, but
[14:04] Speaker 1: it's not really gonna hurt me because it doesn't have
[14:07] Speaker 1: any real effect. There's nothing going on with y'all. It's
[14:10] Speaker 1: okay for me. It's okay for you to keep some
[14:12] Speaker 1: stuff to yourself. Yeah, I would not feel good about
[14:16] Speaker 1: that though. It would just be weird why you want
[14:18] Speaker 1: them so close?
[14:18] Speaker 3: But that's interesting because I am at a point in
[14:21] Speaker 3: my life now where when something upsets me, I try
[14:24] Speaker 3: to think, have you ever been upset about something but
[14:26] Speaker 3: you can't vocalize why exactly you're upset about it?
[14:29] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[14:30] Speaker 2: Like that's but I don't know. I don't know what triggered.
[14:35] Speaker 3: Is not even a trigger, it's like somebody, it's like
[14:38] Speaker 3: you did it, I'm mad, And then it's like why
[14:40] Speaker 3: am I mad?
[14:41] Speaker 2: Though, Like I don't know why.
[14:43] Speaker 6: In that scenario, I would I would be upset that
[14:47] Speaker 6: if you felt like this was an important thing that
[14:49] Speaker 6: you wanted me to know, why didn't you consider my
[14:52] Speaker 6: feelings beforehand? Because at this point it doesn't matter what
[14:55] Speaker 6: I think because you've already done it.
[14:56] Speaker 5: So why did you even tell me?
[14:57] Speaker 1: Now? I feel like an afterthought?
[14:59] Speaker 3: But then it was because then the person thought about
[15:02] Speaker 3: it like this. If you would have told me beforehand
[15:06] Speaker 3: the type of person I am, it's not like I
[15:07] Speaker 3: would be like, don't get that bitch job, like let
[15:09] Speaker 3: her let her be.
[15:12] Speaker 1: You should have said something in the jump, because what
[15:14] Speaker 1: did you think I was there? Because it's not really
[15:16] Speaker 1: about the forwarding of the resume. It's this conversation.
[15:20] Speaker 3: It's about the absence of someone not knowing, and.
[15:23] Speaker 6: It's also about the potential of this girl not working
[15:26] Speaker 6: at this job that y'all working at together. You know,
[15:28] Speaker 6: like all of that is like.
[15:29] Speaker 2: Granted, is remote, but it still was like, yeah, yeah.
[15:33] Speaker 1: I don't know. I would just hope if you felt
[15:36] Speaker 1: the need to tell me, tell me on the front end,
[15:38] Speaker 1: not the back end, and then things could be avoided
[15:42] Speaker 1: any sort of unnecessary stress.
[15:44] Speaker 2: Play the game, y'all, play the game.
[15:45] Speaker 3: Things will come up Okay, next one, Coreell, I'm curious
[15:49] Speaker 3: to know.
[15:50] Speaker 2: Can you have too much sex?
[15:52] Speaker 5: Yes?
[15:57] Speaker 2: Girl?
[15:58] Speaker 5: How much is too much? I think your body.
[16:00] Speaker 6: I don't know how people do the things that they do,
[16:03] Speaker 6: but the way that my body works.
[16:05] Speaker 5: No, I'm not doing all of that. I'm not doing.
[16:08] Speaker 6: All of that whatever, all of that is. That's what
[16:10] Speaker 6: too much sex is. When things start hurting, that's too what.
[16:15] Speaker 6: I'm not a pleasure pain girl. I'm a pleasure pleasure girl.
[16:18] Speaker 6: If it starts hurting, yeah, it's different.
[16:21] Speaker 2: We don't want to be sore in the morning. We
[16:23] Speaker 2: don't want to walk the limb.
[16:24] Speaker 3: No, maybe your kidney got a little pain kidney.
[16:27] Speaker 1: Your kidney's a never hurt.
[16:29] Speaker 3: No.
[16:30] Speaker 1: Okay, okay, this is my last one. Do you believe
[16:34] Speaker 1: in living together before marriage?
[16:36] Speaker 5: You let me look y'all in your eyes when I
[16:38] Speaker 5: answered this.
[16:40] Speaker 6: Living with the man that I was engaged to before
[16:44] Speaker 6: I actually got married is what literally saved my life.
[16:47] Speaker 6: Like I when you can leave and go close your
[16:50] Speaker 6: door and just go on to your own house, you
[16:53] Speaker 6: can take your real personality and your true character with you.
[16:56] Speaker 6: But when you are living and literally cohabitating with someone
[17:02] Speaker 6: on a not necessarily twenty four to seven. But if
[17:04] Speaker 6: you're working remote, it could feel like that. But when
[17:06] Speaker 6: you are that intertwined with someone, the things that you
[17:09] Speaker 6: are forced to talk about, the everyday mundane habits that
[17:14] Speaker 6: you see, just the conversations that you overhear them, having
[17:16] Speaker 6: all of those things that usually are not gonna happen
[17:19] Speaker 6: unless you are either traveling together extensively or living together.
[17:22] Speaker 6: I think that that's necessarily necessary to truly know a person.
[17:27] Speaker 2: Okay, this is my last one. I'm curious to know.
[17:31] Speaker 2: Excuse me. What's the longest you have waited to have
[17:33] Speaker 2: sex with someone?
[17:35] Speaker 5: Oh? More than a year? Really? Yes? I told them
[17:40] Speaker 5: before we start that I am very lame.
[17:42] Speaker 6: So yeah, if you came to this episode for some
[17:44] Speaker 6: spicy'll probably still gonna get some spice, but it ain't
[17:46] Speaker 6: gonna be my spice. But my spice level is very
[17:49] Speaker 6: what's the non spicy pepper or child? Yeah, I'm very
[17:53] Speaker 6: one pepper on the menu.
[17:54] Speaker 2: Okay, but that's like a bell pepper.
[17:56] Speaker 6: Bell pepper, Yeah right, that's me. Sweet chili, yes, one
[18:02] Speaker 6: of those.
[18:03] Speaker 1: Well, that's sweet chili salce okay, because the ti chilies
[18:08] Speaker 1: are very hot.
[18:09] Speaker 3: The good thing about cocktails is. It's not always spicyer Okay.
[18:13] Speaker 3: Sometimes we don't have any spies to add to the pot.
[18:16] Speaker 3: Sometimes we talk about friendships. Sometimes episode talking about ghosts.
[18:22] Speaker 3: You just never know how ghost You never know what
[18:25] Speaker 3: you're gonna get. So that was our game. I'm curious
[18:28] Speaker 3: to know if you guys are interested in getting it good.
[18:29] Speaker 3: I'm curious noo dot com and purchase it. Get it
[18:31] Speaker 3: for a friend for New Year so they can be
[18:33] Speaker 3: a new version of themselves in their dating lives. Before
[18:36] Speaker 3: we get to know our girl, Corey O a little
[18:38] Speaker 3: bit more, We're going to move on to weird sex.
[18:43] Speaker 2: You said a man is not a necessity.
[18:46] Speaker 5: A man is a luxury like dessert. Yeah, a man
[18:51] Speaker 5: is absolutely not necessity.
[18:52] Speaker 1: Did you mean that to sound mean it bitter? Oh
[18:56] Speaker 1: not at all.
[18:58] Speaker 5: I adore dessert.
[18:59] Speaker 1: I love I think men are the coolest, but you
[19:02] Speaker 1: don't really need them to live, all right, you guys,
[19:09] Speaker 1: this week's weird sex. So many of you guys sent
[19:12] Speaker 1: me this story, and this one was wild. So this
[19:14] Speaker 1: is one that has been brewing since earlier in the year.
[19:18] Speaker 1: So this guy, Josh Peters, he dropped a documentary. It's
[19:22] Speaker 1: forty seven minutes long and he was following this OnlyFans
[19:26] Speaker 1: creator Lily Phillips, who's twenty three on her journey, because
[19:31] Speaker 1: she declared at some point prior to that she wanted
[19:35] Speaker 1: to sleep with one hundred men in a day. Now,
[19:39] Speaker 1: that is not the first time somebody has done something
[19:42] Speaker 1: like that. I don't know if they did a whole
[19:44] Speaker 1: documentary behind it, but somebody broke the world record in
[19:48] Speaker 1: two thousand and four. She slept with nine hundred and
[19:51] Speaker 1: nineteen men in one day. Now, I don't I don't
[19:54] Speaker 1: even want to imagine how you could accomplish that. And
[19:58] Speaker 1: like our good cis core Yo just told us doing
[20:01] Speaker 1: too much, just too much? Right, So I know the
[20:04] Speaker 1: eyes are rolling back, Like girl, what anyway, she wanted
[20:08] Speaker 1: to do this, So she does it, and it took
[20:10] Speaker 1: like a lot of planning because she's screening these people.
[20:13] Speaker 1: She has a team of assistance. This guy is getting
[20:15] Speaker 1: the documentary together or leading the team on that. So
[20:18] Speaker 1: all these people have been documenting. Well, it happened, it
[20:21] Speaker 1: got released. Guess what she's doing it? Oh no, no,
[20:27] Speaker 1: she recorded herself on internet crying because now she's stressed
[20:31] Speaker 1: out about all of the backlash. So she's and I mean,
[20:33] Speaker 1: she's been getting backlash about it and just everything and regret, remorse,
[20:39] Speaker 1: all this stuff on the end. So I'm sure you
[20:44] Speaker 1: guys have seen a lot of stuff about this girl,
[20:47] Speaker 1: because so many of you guys sent it to me.
[20:51] Speaker 1: She's upset and she's crying. But let this be a
[20:53] Speaker 1: cautionary tale to anyone out there. One cocktail is enough.
[20:57] Speaker 1: You don't have to do a hundred, okay for you
[21:00] Speaker 1: be on the internet crying and sad and as much
[21:03] Speaker 1: fun as it can be. When we think about being young,
[21:06] Speaker 1: wild and free and sexually liberated, part of that liberation
[21:12] Speaker 1: is coming with the freedom to not just do stuff
[21:15] Speaker 1: for atension. You can do things that you want to do,
[21:17] Speaker 1: you can abstain, there's so many other things that you
[21:19] Speaker 1: can do. So y'all be careful out here while y'all
[21:21] Speaker 1: trying to be buck wild, because too many shots of
[21:25] Speaker 1: tequila and maybe even a few drugs could lead you
[21:28] Speaker 1: down a path of crying on the internet. And you
[21:30] Speaker 1: know how we talk about people crying on the internet anyway.
[21:32] Speaker 3: Because if you think that that is living young, wild
[21:35] Speaker 3: and free, I don't want it.
[21:38] Speaker 1: I don't want that.
[21:40] Speaker 2: Is absolutely a lot I want to do that. Yes,
[21:43] Speaker 2: I'm judging you.
[21:45] Speaker 1: I don't know why she wanted to. I don't know
[21:47] Speaker 1: what it was. I don't know if she thought that
[21:50] Speaker 1: she wouldn't do it at first, and it was just
[21:53] Speaker 1: like something to say for shock value, and then it's like,
[21:56] Speaker 1: I'm too deep. I don't know. I haven't watched the
[21:58] Speaker 1: documentary honestly, probably won't. Not that curious, but it's a
[22:03] Speaker 1: wild story. I'll link it if you guys would like
[22:05] Speaker 1: to see.
[22:06] Speaker 5: I heard she's going for a thousand though the same
[22:09] Speaker 5: girl to be.
[22:11] Speaker 1: I didn't hear about this girl. Wow, everybody has been
[22:14] Speaker 1: sending to me. I was seeing it all over the place.
[22:19] Speaker 1: She said it was a fantasy at first.
[22:21] Speaker 2: What is her ethnicity?
[22:22] Speaker 5: Girl? You know what her She's Caucasian?
[22:25] Speaker 2: Okay, mmm okay.
[22:28] Speaker 5: And they did not do STD testing. It is such
[22:30] Speaker 5: a rabbit heart.
[22:31] Speaker 2: So when she said screening, what was the screening?
[22:33] Speaker 6: I think they had to send their information but they
[22:35] Speaker 6: didn't have to do Yeah, identity, they didn't have to,
[22:37] Speaker 6: she said. They they gave priority to the people who
[22:39] Speaker 6: did get STD testing.
[22:41] Speaker 2: They got.
[22:44] Speaker 1: She oh, yeah, she wanted to break that other lady's
[22:46] Speaker 1: record from two thousand and four. With a thousand men
[22:51] Speaker 1: is no horror Phobia and sex works stigma are so
[22:56] Speaker 1: pervasive that it's easy to blame the blah blah blah blah. Look,
[23:00] Speaker 1: I just think that that's a lot. It's it's a lot.
[23:04] Speaker 1: Y'all gotta be here for a year.
[23:06] Speaker 5: I couldn't imagine.
[23:06] Speaker 1: What would you do if somebody told you, oh, I
[23:10] Speaker 1: just had sex with like nine hundred people yesterday. Would
[23:14] Speaker 1: you do? Girl? I went to publics and got some groceries,
[23:16] Speaker 1: Like what?
[23:17] Speaker 6: What I kept thinking about, though, was the hundred men,
[23:20] Speaker 6: because those one hundred men surely went out and had
[23:23] Speaker 6: sex with other women very soon after.
[23:26] Speaker 5: I'm sure, well, you.
[23:27] Speaker 1: Know, maybe what if they couldn't get them and they
[23:28] Speaker 1: had to?
[23:29] Speaker 2: You know? But how would you feel if?
[23:33] Speaker 3: This is one of the questions that I've asked people
[23:34] Speaker 3: that I'm dating, And it's not like a judgmental question.
[23:36] Speaker 3: I just be wondering, have you ever paid for sex
[23:39] Speaker 3: in like a prostitution way? Like have you ever pulled
[23:41] Speaker 3: up and bought a prostitute?
[23:43] Speaker 5: How do you feel?
[23:43] Speaker 2: Answers? I'm always shock.
[23:45] Speaker 3: I haven't had a man tell oh, yes, I haven't
[23:49] Speaker 3: had one man tell me no that he hasn't done it.
[23:51] Speaker 2: Most men have said that they did it.
[23:53] Speaker 3: So I wonder if, like you were dating somebody or
[23:55] Speaker 3: your husband was like, oh yeah, Like one time there
[23:58] Speaker 3: was this girl who wanted to sleep with one hundred men,
[23:59] Speaker 3: and I was one of the men.
[24:00] Speaker 2: I went to the house in state the line.
[24:02] Speaker 5: No.
[24:02] Speaker 2: I don't know how I think I would be like.
[24:05] Speaker 1: Wow, the paying for sex, I don't think I would
[24:08] Speaker 1: be so shocked about that, but participating in like some
[24:12] Speaker 1: sort of challenge, like I want to be one of
[24:14] Speaker 1: the one hundred or one of the thousands.
[24:17] Speaker 2: You know, why did you do that? I don't know.
[24:20] Speaker 5: I ask my husband that on our first date, though.
[24:22] Speaker 3: Have you ever paid a prosecut for sex, like a
[24:24] Speaker 3: real raw procect?
[24:25] Speaker 2: Did he know?
[24:26] Speaker 5: He said that?
[24:26] Speaker 1: Okay, okay, I've only asked a few people that question.
[24:30] Speaker 1: Some guys said that they had done it for themselves.
[24:32] Speaker 1: Some of them said that they have paid, but they
[24:35] Speaker 1: paid for a frind like it was a friend's birthday
[24:37] Speaker 1: or something like that, or he got deployed. I mean
[24:41] Speaker 1: it is common, because you know, I just think if
[24:44] Speaker 1: you're gonna pay for I hope you paid them well
[24:46] Speaker 1: and you paid their price and you weren't trying to
[24:47] Speaker 1: run an though, I mean, like pay them what they
[24:50] Speaker 1: asked for. Well, you because try and get somebody. I
[24:54] Speaker 1: think it depends. I think it depends, but I do
[24:57] Speaker 1: think it's it's crazy if you agree to pay and
[25:00] Speaker 1: then you don't. Oh yeah, that's yeah, you know that's
[25:02] Speaker 1: not okay either. Anyway, that's it for weird sex this week.
[25:06] Speaker 1: Now we'll get back to the.
[25:08] Speaker 3: Show to end up with the man who ran off
[25:10] Speaker 3: on the Columbian prostitute is wild girl, I'm breaking up
[25:14] Speaker 3: with you now you're gonna run off on me and
[25:16] Speaker 3: these kids?
[25:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, ran off for way less. Okay. So this week, Coreo,
[25:22] Speaker 1: we are going to be talking about a few different
[25:26] Speaker 1: dating relationships, sex scenarios, and we're going to be deciding
[25:30] Speaker 1: if this would land you on the NAZI or the
[25:33] Speaker 1: nice list. Okay, you want to start? You want me to,
[25:37] Speaker 1: so you can start, Kiki, Okay the first one? Do
[25:41] Speaker 1: you think it? I have a feeling what your answer
[25:44] Speaker 1: would be. I want both y'all to answer. Texting your
[25:46] Speaker 1: ex to say Merry Christmas? Is that naughty or nice?
[25:51] Speaker 2: Oh? Man, that's such an interesting.
[25:55] Speaker 5: If you're in a relationship, are there any other deals?
[25:57] Speaker 1: Are you here?
[25:57] Speaker 5: Period?
[25:58] Speaker 1: You? In general, everybody used to get their own ok yeah, yeah, naughty.
[26:04] Speaker 3: Okay, So that's naughty. Texting your ex Merry Christmas. It's naughty. Yeah,
[26:09] Speaker 3: it's it's naughty unless y'all got kids together. And I
[26:12] Speaker 3: don't date men who already have children. So it's naughty. Okay,
[26:18] Speaker 3: it's a naughty thing. You can't do that.
[26:21] Speaker 1: You keep saying it.
[26:22] Speaker 5: Did you have to think about it for a minute.
[26:25] Speaker 1: The reason why I.
[26:26] Speaker 2: Was, Yeah, it's naughty. Okay, what about you? Kiki?
[26:30] Speaker 1: Oh, I think it's naughty.
[26:32] Speaker 2: You think what do you what do we need to wish?
[26:34] Speaker 1: Mary?
[26:35] Speaker 2: What are we doing?
[26:35] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[26:37] Speaker 1: I think that that's one of those little things that
[26:39] Speaker 1: people do, whether they're in a relationship or not, to
[26:41] Speaker 1: keep that door open to check and see what's going. See.
[26:45] Speaker 3: That's where I was, like, that's where I don't agree
[26:47] Speaker 3: with it, because y'all know, I used to date somebody.
[26:49] Speaker 3: His name is Carlos, and he was my boyfriend for
[26:50] Speaker 3: eight years and like I cheated on him the whole relation.
[26:53] Speaker 3: It really was over before it was even over for real,
[26:56] Speaker 3: and like one this year I did text him Happy Birthday,
[26:59] Speaker 3: And there is appssolutely nothing.
[27:01] Speaker 2: It's not to keep a door open.
[27:02] Speaker 3: It is just simply because it's like, I know it's
[27:05] Speaker 3: your birthday, might be naughty. I don't know, but I
[27:10] Speaker 3: have been on the cydeberhere it's like this, there's really
[27:12] Speaker 3: not not nandor what made.
[27:14] Speaker 2: You want to do it? Though he had a rough year.
[27:17] Speaker 2: He had a rough year. And it's not even that
[27:19] Speaker 2: I knew it from his word of mouth, like because.
[27:21] Speaker 1: That was gonna be my next version, you know, he
[27:22] Speaker 1: had a rough year.
[27:23] Speaker 3: People posting their whole lives on Instagram and it was
[27:25] Speaker 3: like people passing away. And sometimes I do think when
[27:27] Speaker 3: it's like you have a connection with somebody in a
[27:32] Speaker 3: way and this has nothing to do with sex or romance,
[27:35] Speaker 3: but when you really know somebody and you know they
[27:37] Speaker 3: might be struggling with something sometimes and I'm not saying
[27:40] Speaker 3: with everybody with that specific situation, there's absolutely nothing there.
[27:44] Speaker 3: There has been no conversation, and it was just simply
[27:46] Speaker 3: like happy birthday. I hope you're doing well, not I
[27:50] Speaker 3: hope you're doing well so that I can get back.
[27:51] Speaker 2: I don't want to get back there. He don't want
[27:53] Speaker 2: and it was.
[27:53] Speaker 3: Just like I don't know sometimes when you have certain
[27:56] Speaker 3: roots with people, it's just like it's sad when you
[27:59] Speaker 3: see certain things into them, do you know what I mean?
[28:01] Speaker 3: And I don't always think it's okay that you make
[28:03] Speaker 3: somebody be like you better not ever check on them
[28:06] Speaker 3: again because you're mine and so but that's just me.
[28:09] Speaker 2: That is just me.
[28:10] Speaker 1: I wouldn't put the pressure on somebody else, but I
[28:12] Speaker 1: don't like it, and I can let that be know,
[28:15] Speaker 1: And then the choice is yours, and you decide if
[28:17] Speaker 1: those roots are strong enough that you're married or anyone's
[28:20] Speaker 1: worth it?
[28:21] Speaker 6: Yeah, if that one, if that merry Christmas is worth it?
[28:24] Speaker 2: Yeah? You know.
[28:25] Speaker 3: Do you really think that though when it comes to marriage,
[28:28] Speaker 3: like a merry Christmas or a happy Birthday could end
[28:30] Speaker 3: the marriage?
[28:30] Speaker 5: No? But what are you doing that for? I don't
[28:33] Speaker 5: think your decision making, couldn't you know?
[28:34] Speaker 6: Like your And I am not gonga holl about divorce either,
[28:37] Speaker 6: so I'll say that, but no.
[28:40] Speaker 5: Because what are you doing that for?
[28:41] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[28:42] Speaker 5: And then how did I find out?
[28:43] Speaker 6: Because I'm not a snooper either, So if I even
[28:45] Speaker 6: know that information, you've taken a wrong turn.
[28:49] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[28:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's just one of those things where
[28:51] Speaker 1: It's not like a deal breaker or something that's a
[28:54] Speaker 1: huge fight about, but it is.
[28:55] Speaker 6: Something I'm like, Yeah, you're gonna make a mental note.
[28:58] Speaker 6: Just okay, okay, what you got?
[29:00] Speaker 2: Okay? Naughty or nice?
[29:02] Speaker 3: You guys, that is definitely naughty. You've been too busy
[29:13] Speaker 3: to see your partner, but you've still had time to
[29:16] Speaker 3: post on Instagram.
[29:16] Speaker 2: And go out with your friends.
[29:20] Speaker 1: That's naughty.
[29:21] Speaker 2: That's mean, Like do.
[29:23] Speaker 1: You like your partner? Yeah?
[29:26] Speaker 5: Yeah, what is there has like? That's not naughty? Nice?
[29:28] Speaker 6: They're like a non existent Like that's in the non
[29:31] Speaker 6: existent category, Like this relationship is non existent if you
[29:33] Speaker 6: don't even care to.
[29:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, because like how could you not make time?
[29:38] Speaker 2: You guys were looking confused with people are dealing with this.
[29:41] Speaker 1: I'm sure, but that would be my question to the
[29:44] Speaker 1: person if I was like on the receiving end of that,
[29:46] Speaker 1: I see somebody posting on Instagram or wherever, and they've
[29:51] Speaker 1: been telling me they're too busy for everything. You couldn't
[29:53] Speaker 1: squeeze nothing in.
[29:54] Speaker 6: This is the thing, though, now that I am on
[29:57] Speaker 6: the other side as a married woman, what I thought
[30:01] Speaker 6: as a single woman, and what I feel like a
[30:03] Speaker 6: lot of single women think is that they have to
[30:06] Speaker 6: deal with people like that and you don't. That to
[30:09] Speaker 6: me tells That would tell me that this person is
[30:12] Speaker 6: not really into me.
[30:13] Speaker 5: Because we have.
[30:14] Speaker 6: All had men that we would leave on red, that
[30:16] Speaker 6: we would be posting on social media and they DM
[30:18] Speaker 6: in us and we don't care.
[30:19] Speaker 5: And we have those guys that we don't really care about.
[30:23] Speaker 6: We weren't about to marry those guys, like, no, they
[30:25] Speaker 6: were just somebody that were texting us and entertaining us
[30:28] Speaker 6: or whatever. So that would tell me that I'm in
[30:31] Speaker 6: that category for you, that there's some other girl who's
[30:33] Speaker 6: called you will not miss. Everybody has that person, so
[30:37] Speaker 6: you're just not that person. We have to accept when
[30:39] Speaker 6: we're not that person, and most don't want to accept that.
[30:41] Speaker 6: And I didn't even realize that until I met the
[30:43] Speaker 6: person who I was the person.
[30:46] Speaker 2: It's so interesting to me.
[30:47] Speaker 3: You say, like, the people who don't want to acknowledge
[30:50] Speaker 3: that they're not the person you need, you're unwell because
[30:54] Speaker 3: and I say that because if I even get a
[30:58] Speaker 3: slight tinge of like it seems like I'm not that
[31:01] Speaker 3: does not feel good turn off. It's a turn off,
[31:04] Speaker 3: but it also is just like it's embarrassing. It doesn't
[31:08] Speaker 3: feel good, and it makes you almost feel like you're
[31:10] Speaker 3: betraying yourself to keep moving forward in this. And when
[31:13] Speaker 3: you start betraying yourself.
[31:15] Speaker 1: Oh, it is a problem.
[31:17] Speaker 3: It's a problem. And I know some of y'all going
[31:19] Speaker 3: through this right now. Stop just you just ain't it
[31:22] Speaker 3: crying the bathtub. Put on some Beyonce and get over it.
[31:25] Speaker 5: And don't let the holiday blues have you out here
[31:27] Speaker 5: making moves that you're gonna regret.
[31:29] Speaker 1: That's the real thing.
[31:30] Speaker 6: This is the season, gro this is the season to
[31:33] Speaker 6: make some terrible choices. This is the season.
[31:36] Speaker 1: The holidays will do it. The emotion to high for
[31:39] Speaker 1: so many reasons, on your nerves and with questions, all
[31:42] Speaker 1: that stuff making you feel insecure.
[31:43] Speaker 2: You want to get a gift from somebody.
[31:46] Speaker 5: It's a hard time for a lot of people.
[31:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, get a dog. That's what I did. And this
[31:53] Speaker 1: is one of the best decisions I made. Okay, I'm
[31:54] Speaker 1: gonna be making those bad decisions I used to. I
[31:56] Speaker 1: got a baby. I have a child to think of.
[31:58] Speaker 1: Now I'm older and wiser and I am a mother
[32:02] Speaker 1: and we're a packaged deal. So you don't like my baby, well,
[32:07] Speaker 1: kick rocks. I don't have that problem anyway. Speaking of
[32:11] Speaker 1: treating yourself and getting gifts, what do you think about
[32:14] Speaker 1: regifting a present from an ex to your current partner?
[32:20] Speaker 1: Do they know? You know? They don't have to know.
[32:24] Speaker 1: And it's a nice gift, it's nice. It's not some
[32:27] Speaker 1: trink it's something nice.
[32:29] Speaker 5: That they would like and want, and they would never know.
[32:32] Speaker 1: Mm hmm. They would never know. That's why sometimes I
[32:36] Speaker 1: think it's okay to take things to the grave. But
[32:38] Speaker 1: what if you got some real, real goods to the grave?
[32:41] Speaker 2: Girl?
[32:42] Speaker 6: Everything is does not have to be so answer I
[32:46] Speaker 6: would it's nice list. I say, nice list, I say,
[32:50] Speaker 6: because if you have something that is a value that
[32:52] Speaker 6: you think I would like that I would never know
[32:54] Speaker 6: that this belongs to someone else.
[32:57] Speaker 5: By all means, my body hole got tight.
[33:00] Speaker 2: He got tight because did you do it before? No?
[33:03] Speaker 3: I was thinking about if it was done to me,
[33:04] Speaker 3: because I was like, well, what if it was, like,
[33:06] Speaker 3: it is a really nice gift. But then I'm just thinking,
[33:09] Speaker 3: like if you find out.
[33:11] Speaker 1: Depending on what it is, I mean, if it's something nice, okay,
[33:14] Speaker 1: So it's from an X to the other person, So
[33:18] Speaker 1: this is a unisex gift. I'm thinking it's some sort
[33:22] Speaker 1: of camera. It's from a gift from your ex. Oh,
[33:27] Speaker 1: I thought it was something I bought for an ex.
[33:29] Speaker 1: I get back and from your ex he gave it
[33:31] Speaker 1: to you. No, I wouldn't do that. You wouldn't.
[33:33] Speaker 2: I understood it wrong.
[33:35] Speaker 1: So it's not it's a gift from an ex and
[33:37] Speaker 1: I'm giving it to my new man.
[33:39] Speaker 2: Okay, No, no naughty.
[33:41] Speaker 1: Well, okay, I guess i'd be a naughty girl then,
[33:43] Speaker 1: because I think something. I mean nice stuff, no trinkets,
[33:46] Speaker 1: no little bullshit. But if it's something that I had
[33:49] Speaker 1: that I never used, maybe didn't even want, or it
[33:52] Speaker 1: didn't apply or like what.
[33:54] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[33:55] Speaker 5: I'm thinking, like that's an example. Give us an example.
[33:57] Speaker 1: If I just gave a camera, like nice camera, like
[34:00] Speaker 1: one of these, so someone gets you a box up,
[34:03] Speaker 1: it's still I never like Okay, okay, because I also
[34:07] Speaker 1: could have sold it and then just went and bought some.
[34:09] Speaker 1: But it's like I'm giving this is this is a
[34:11] Speaker 1: nice given. It's more than what I can buy for you.
[34:13] Speaker 1: You can buy these cameras. They're high. I think it
[34:17] Speaker 1: depends well.
[34:19] Speaker 2: Because I'm just thinking about it. If I if he
[34:21] Speaker 2: did to me, because.
[34:23] Speaker 1: Let's what if unless it's something like an engagement ring
[34:27] Speaker 1: or something, I don't want that regifted. But so I
[34:31] Speaker 1: would be okay with certain things, really certain things.
[34:34] Speaker 5: And if I had no idea that is.
[34:36] Speaker 1: The biggest I don't know either. Both sides of however,
[34:39] Speaker 1: y'all understood it was to say the other person won't
[34:42] Speaker 1: know whoever is getting to give.
[34:44] Speaker 3: You really don't know people, even when you think you
[34:45] Speaker 3: know people, because it's probably happened.
[34:47] Speaker 2: Honestly, right.
[34:48] Speaker 5: I mean, I have definitely regifted things to people yesterday.
[34:53] Speaker 1: Maybe I've never regifted anything that somebody like I was
[34:58] Speaker 1: romantically involved with every gave me or that I bought
[35:01] Speaker 1: for them, and I was like, I ain't getting it
[35:02] Speaker 1: no more. I've never done that. But I've definitely gifted stuff,
[35:08] Speaker 1: and I'm like, these are good things, Like it was
[35:09] Speaker 1: something I want. Maybe I have two Maybe one year
[35:12] Speaker 1: I got three of the same damn skincare sets, so
[35:16] Speaker 1: I gave two of them away.
[35:18] Speaker 2: That's different. I just this isn't technically regifting.
[35:25] Speaker 3: But this was just a gift that was from another man,
[35:27] Speaker 3: and it was it just got real awkward.
[35:29] Speaker 2: Something happened to one of my bags, and I.
[35:31] Speaker 3: Took it to the store to get it to send
[35:33] Speaker 3: it off to get it fixed, and my boyfriend came
[35:36] Speaker 3: with me.
[35:37] Speaker 2: This was so uncomfortable, y'all.
[35:38] Speaker 3: And this has nothing to do with regifting, but it
[35:40] Speaker 3: just scarred me toward It was like, if the name,
[35:42] Speaker 3: if a name is tied to it in any way,
[35:43] Speaker 3: I just don't Let's just let's just do this in private.
[35:46] Speaker 3: And I wish I would have did this in private.
[35:48] Speaker 3: He the bag. You know how if you're at certain stores,
[35:52] Speaker 3: you create a profile for what you buy, and he
[35:54] Speaker 3: called him the man's name that by the other man's
[35:57] Speaker 3: name who bought the back, and it was just this
[35:58] Speaker 3: who it was. I was so I felt like a prostitute.
[36:02] Speaker 3: I actually felt like a prostitute. Like it just looked
[36:04] Speaker 3: like it was just all bad. So I'm probably just
[36:07] Speaker 3: not gonna regift it because what if the camera got
[36:09] Speaker 3: registered in his name? I just can't do it. And
[36:12] Speaker 3: now I'm stressed, and now I'm looking embarrassed.
[36:15] Speaker 1: Yeah, you are for life.
[36:17] Speaker 5: That sounds embarrassing.
[36:18] Speaker 3: I feel you, okay with this land somebody on the
[36:20] Speaker 3: Naughty or Nice list, you broke up with someone by
[36:24] Speaker 3: using the classic it's not you, it's me line, But
[36:26] Speaker 3: really you were just bored.
[36:29] Speaker 5: No, I think that's nice.
[36:30] Speaker 1: I think that's nice too. Sometimes I think it's okay
[36:32] Speaker 1: to spare people's feelings.
[36:34] Speaker 6: And not waste their time. I'd rather you just cut
[36:35] Speaker 6: me loose and not waste my time. That is naughty
[36:38] Speaker 6: to me, wasting my time. No one that this ain't
[36:40] Speaker 6: going to where you don't like me?
[36:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. Okay, let's see sending a flirty holiday
[36:53] Speaker 1: DM to someone you know is in a relationship, y'all
[36:57] Speaker 1: ever get those are the relationship is earlier? I mean
[37:01] Speaker 1: as you get them, Like, do you ever get them?
[37:04] Speaker 1: People sending you messages like that and they know good
[37:07] Speaker 1: and well that y'all are in relationships.
[37:08] Speaker 3: You know, I get people more so people are respectful,
[37:12] Speaker 3: but but I do get the they're testing the waters,
[37:15] Speaker 3: like are you still in a relationship?
[37:17] Speaker 2: Are you still happy?
[37:18] Speaker 3: M M?
[37:20] Speaker 6: I don't really like on TikTok where people don't really
[37:22] Speaker 6: know me. Sometimes you know, people are stupid, But I
[37:24] Speaker 6: feel like on Instagram, if you don't know that I'm married,
[37:27] Speaker 6: or you don't care that I'm really.
[37:28] Speaker 1: I gonna say, it's not gonna be the they don't know.
[37:30] Speaker 5: Yeah, don't.
[37:30] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think. I think it's naughty either way, but
[37:36] Speaker 1: nothing naughtiest of things be it? You know what you're
[37:39] Speaker 1: doing again?
[37:40] Speaker 5: Now responding right now? Your response is what makes it naughty?
[37:43] Speaker 2: Are nice? Okay you're not.
[37:46] Speaker 3: Let's say you're not married, but you are dating someone
[37:48] Speaker 3: and you invite your situationship to your work holiday party.
[37:52] Speaker 1: Wait say that again.
[37:53] Speaker 3: You invite your situationship to your work holiday party.
[37:59] Speaker 5: But you're dating somebody else.
[38:03] Speaker 1: Now, why would you go into a silly thing like that? Yeah,
[38:07] Speaker 1: that is asking for unnecessary drama.
[38:09] Speaker 2: This is messy.
[38:12] Speaker 1: I have one about holiday parties too. If you invite
[38:15] Speaker 1: a plus one to the holiday party, but you spend
[38:18] Speaker 1: all night flirting with somebody else.
[38:19] Speaker 5: They oh, absolutely not. That is very naughty.
[38:23] Speaker 2: That is very naughty.
[38:27] Speaker 1: I was at a holiday party earlier this week and
[38:30] Speaker 1: that was happening. There was somebody who was flirting with
[38:34] Speaker 1: me a lot, and I kept like trying to like
[38:36] Speaker 1: move around and stuff like that. First of all, I
[38:38] Speaker 1: don't even know who he was or how he got
[38:40] Speaker 1: there because he didn't work for the same station. I
[38:43] Speaker 1: was like, I don't know, I don't know what's going on,
[38:45] Speaker 1: and then later as the night progresses, I realized, you're
[38:48] Speaker 1: here on a date with somebody. That's the worst.
[38:51] Speaker 2: When you're on the other end of you're like, I'm
[38:53] Speaker 2: innocent here lead you go to.
[38:55] Speaker 5: Your girl because I don't want this man, get him
[38:58] Speaker 5: out of here.
[38:59] Speaker 1: And well she it was worse because she was just
[39:01] Speaker 1: oblivious and I was like, well, I hope this isn't
[39:04] Speaker 1: too serious, and maybe she's just leaning into it. Maybe
[39:06] Speaker 1: she had a few drinks and she's just feeling really
[39:09] Speaker 1: close right now. I don't know, But that was so
[39:10] Speaker 1: all your.
[39:11] Speaker 3: Parties are always so interesting when it's a company holiday party.
[39:14] Speaker 3: So Keller, Williams, Buckhead have their holiday party.
[39:16] Speaker 2: And I went, and I'm new, so I don't really know.
[39:21] Speaker 3: And you know how some people know who the drunk
[39:23] Speaker 3: person is, who's the inappropriate person.
[39:27] Speaker 1: Who was walking in here?
[39:32] Speaker 3: And yeah, there were a couple of people where I
[39:35] Speaker 3: was like, oh, y'all drunk, drunk, like always trying to leave,
[39:39] Speaker 3: like I know I'm old because now I know what
[39:40] Speaker 3: are they doing? Just very handsy, very touchy, very like
[39:44] Speaker 3: we're not a booty grab or nothing, but just like yes,
[39:48] Speaker 3: And I was just like, I don't even want to
[39:52] Speaker 3: be a part of this. It's time for me to leave.
[39:56] Speaker 1: Okay, let's we're working. Weally got a little excited. We
[40:02] Speaker 1: have a small live studio audience. But yeah, coworkers acting
[40:07] Speaker 1: up as a holiday parties is interesting. This one was
[40:11] Speaker 1: just so different when I went because we did it combined,
[40:15] Speaker 1: and then there were a lot of like clients there.
[40:17] Speaker 1: I worked for a radio station outside of this, and
[40:20] Speaker 1: so a lot of our clients were there, and so
[40:23] Speaker 1: we don't know all of these people. So I'm like, oh,
[40:25] Speaker 1: it's a lot of people here. Who is everybody? I
[40:27] Speaker 1: knew who the usual suspects are, and it's funny to
[40:30] Speaker 1: see people be the same every single year.
[40:33] Speaker 5: It will be turned.
[40:34] Speaker 3: I don't know how you don't be embarrassed. I have
[40:36] Speaker 3: just been so embarrassed and drunk on this show. So
[40:39] Speaker 3: to do it at like your holiday work party, that
[40:42] Speaker 3: is just like, I'm going to quit.
[40:45] Speaker 1: Luckily, nobody got too messed up. The only thing that
[40:47] Speaker 1: ever really happens is old men just get too flirty.
[40:51] Speaker 1: That's that's the one.
[40:53] Speaker 3: Okay, is this naughty or nice? This isn't on the
[40:55] Speaker 3: LISTA I just thought about this. You're married, but you
[40:57] Speaker 3: want to get a divorce so you can go and
[40:59] Speaker 3: cheat on them.
[41:00] Speaker 1: Buddy. Okay, that is naughty, naughty, naughty, so naughty.
[41:06] Speaker 2: Okay, that's bad. Don't do that, y'all.
[41:08] Speaker 5: Don't do it.
[41:10] Speaker 1: I had to let her calm down. Okay, let's see
[41:15] Speaker 1: next one. Making this is like God, well, I guess
[41:22] Speaker 1: it depends on how you look at it. Making your
[41:24] Speaker 1: partner's gift something that's really for you, like concert tickets
[41:29] Speaker 1: for your favorite artists, or something.
[41:30] Speaker 5: That's don't do that.
[41:33] Speaker 2: Don't do that.
[41:34] Speaker 3: I'm selfish, Hue. Are you a good gift giver in
[41:39] Speaker 3: your relationship?
[41:40] Speaker 6: I am a good gift giver because I give gifts
[41:42] Speaker 6: that are like useful and things not necessarily things you need,
[41:46] Speaker 6: like they're not fun, but things that are meaningful for
[41:49] Speaker 6: you and not just like a Colonne set.
[41:51] Speaker 3: And that's important because you pay attention to what the
[41:55] Speaker 3: person that you love likes. It's different if it's just
[41:58] Speaker 3: like a random gift throughout the week and you're just like,
[42:01] Speaker 3: I just thought you would like it. But when it's
[42:02] Speaker 3: a birthday or Christmas, somebody you had, time you had,
[42:06] Speaker 3: it's never when people be like, you know, Christmas is like, what.
[42:12] Speaker 1: What does that mean.
[42:14] Speaker 3: People always know what these excuses like, you don't know
[42:16] Speaker 3: that Christmas is December twenty fifth. Every year, you don't
[42:19] Speaker 3: know somebody's birthday is the same day of their birth
[42:22] Speaker 3: Every single year, you had time, baby, you had time.
[42:25] Speaker 2: This is not an excuse. I think it does not care.
[42:27] Speaker 1: I will say this. I think that it can be
[42:30] Speaker 1: difficult to buy for certain people, not because you're not
[42:32] Speaker 1: thought for or anything, but if the person you want
[42:35] Speaker 1: to get a gift for is a combination of these
[42:37] Speaker 1: two things. One they never give you a chance to
[42:41] Speaker 1: ever want anything because they are quick to get at themselves.
[42:45] Speaker 1: And then two if they don't like to say what
[42:48] Speaker 1: they want. So there was a guy I wanted to
[42:51] Speaker 1: get him a gift, and I did get him something.
[42:52] Speaker 1: He really liked it, but he has this habit of
[42:58] Speaker 1: saying things that he needs. And I'm like, it's okay
[43:01] Speaker 1: to just want something. It doesn't have to be a
[43:03] Speaker 1: practical gift. It could be something very impractical as long
[43:07] Speaker 1: as you want it, like just say And I'm like,
[43:10] Speaker 1: what is that about. I think it's something from childhood.
[43:12] Speaker 1: I don't know, but yeah, I think that that can
[43:15] Speaker 1: be difficult, But you can be thoughtful and even if
[43:17] Speaker 1: they don't like it, do put effort in it. You know,
[43:20] Speaker 1: I think the lack of effort in trying to figure
[43:23] Speaker 1: it out, it's not cut that out.
[43:26] Speaker 2: That's the effort.
[43:27] Speaker 6: That's where the whole thought is, the thought that counts
[43:29] Speaker 6: thing comes from. Because I feel like I would much
[43:31] Speaker 6: rather have a gift that you put some thought into
[43:35] Speaker 6: that costs nothing, versus you going out and spending stupid
[43:39] Speaker 6: money on something that is just a complete waste.
[43:42] Speaker 1: Or even if it's something I don't like, we can
[43:44] Speaker 1: set the side of the cost aside. But you thought
[43:47] Speaker 1: that I want it because maybe I said something or
[43:50] Speaker 1: you notice something, you thought this would be a great gift.
[43:52] Speaker 1: And I'm disappointed because I don't really like to give.
[43:54] Speaker 1: But the thought and that you are listening, I can
[43:57] Speaker 1: appreciate that.
[43:58] Speaker 5: I agree.
[43:58] Speaker 1: I've had that happen before. It INSI right, I don't
[44:00] Speaker 1: want this, but thank you.
[44:02] Speaker 5: Yeah, And I wear it and I appreciate it.
[44:04] Speaker 1: I really do.
[44:05] Speaker 3: And if you're dating somebody who is hard to just
[44:07] Speaker 3: like get a gift for, I always like to say, listen,
[44:11] Speaker 3: do you remember that one year when I got my
[44:13] Speaker 3: boyfriend a song made and I honestly wasn't sure how
[44:17] Speaker 3: he was even gonna take it because it was like,
[44:19] Speaker 3: who does that crying?
[44:21] Speaker 2: I'm talking about instant tears. He didn't even go to.
[44:25] Speaker 1: What is that company's song, fins.
[44:27] Speaker 3: Songfinch dot com and get somebody a song made.
[44:30] Speaker 2: I'm talking about instant tears. If you listen to this,
[44:32] Speaker 2: now you didn't get a gift, you clearly don't care
[44:33] Speaker 2: about him.
[44:34] Speaker 3: Because its the day before Christmas. But if their birthday
[44:36] Speaker 3: is coming up, do something.
[44:38] Speaker 1: Like, yeah, it's after Christmas.
[44:40] Speaker 3: Now, yeah, but yeah, that's a good one. Like it
[44:46] Speaker 3: it's you don't you don't know you needed it, but
[44:48] Speaker 3: then you needed it because in the details of the
[44:50] Speaker 3: song you put you can you create the lyrics, you
[44:53] Speaker 3: put your story in it.
[44:54] Speaker 2: You It was just a beautiful situation I did.
[44:58] Speaker 1: I did one for my grandmother for her eightieth birthday,
[45:01] Speaker 1: and she was crying. I don't even think she could
[45:04] Speaker 1: really understand all of what was being in the song,
[45:06] Speaker 1: because when it was done and she was done crying,
[45:08] Speaker 1: she asked me to send her the lyrics. She has
[45:09] Speaker 1: a hearing problem, but just she could pick up on it,
[45:13] Speaker 1: and then I did send it to her. She was
[45:15] Speaker 1: able to read it and it's nice and they have
[45:17] Speaker 1: like nice little gift giving things. And there was another
[45:19] Speaker 1: company that we had worked with in the past. I
[45:22] Speaker 1: think it's called Paint Your Life. They will paint a
[45:24] Speaker 1: portrait for and it's like actually a painting, painting, not
[45:28] Speaker 1: digital print, and you give them a picture. There's little
[45:32] Speaker 1: things like that that somebody wouldn't know that they would want.
[45:36] Speaker 1: That's thoughtful and special. And it doesn't even have to
[45:39] Speaker 1: be a picture of them. I know somebody did a
[45:42] Speaker 1: picture and they the guy's mom had passed away, and
[45:46] Speaker 1: so she got him a portrait made with him and
[45:50] Speaker 1: his mom and his grandma. They don't have a picture
[45:53] Speaker 1: with the three of them, but they're able to make one.
[45:55] Speaker 1: So yeah, y'all, Well, we just gave y' all.
[45:57] Speaker 5: Some good ideas.
[45:59] Speaker 1: And it could be or birthday or just because you
[46:01] Speaker 1: don't have to wait for a holiday to give it,
[46:03] Speaker 1: give a gift to somebody. The unexpected ones I personally
[46:06] Speaker 1: think are even better, just because.
[46:10] Speaker 3: Okay, so I have one that just popped off the
[46:12] Speaker 3: top of my head. Is this naughty or nice? You're
[46:15] Speaker 3: dating someone you are you think something's wrong with them,
[46:21] Speaker 3: like mentally and so you gift them a therapy session.
[46:26] Speaker 2: Is that naughty or nice?
[46:29] Speaker 5: That's nice?
[46:31] Speaker 1: It's nice. Is this a Christmas gift?
[46:34] Speaker 3: It's a Christmas gift? Okay, you wrap it up. Still,
[46:38] Speaker 3: you wrap it up, You put an envelope, put it
[46:39] Speaker 3: under the tree. They cold get some therapy because something's
[46:42] Speaker 3: wrong with you.
[46:43] Speaker 5: I think it's nice.
[46:44] Speaker 3: They don't think they have a problem, then I'm sorry.
[46:49] Speaker 3: I still think it's nice because somebody you if I
[46:52] Speaker 3: don't help you, who is.
[46:53] Speaker 1: The thought does count? However, I think it's all in presentation.
[46:58] Speaker 1: That is not I feel like, like, you know you crazy, right?
[47:02] Speaker 1: That would set somebody on Christmas because imagine if they
[47:05] Speaker 1: felt the same about you, and you open up your
[47:07] Speaker 1: gifts and that's what it is, and you thinking I've
[47:09] Speaker 1: been going to therapy already and say well you need
[47:11] Speaker 1: another one because we're trying to be doing it. I
[47:15] Speaker 1: don't know. I think that you could give somebody therapy
[47:18] Speaker 1: that's a good just because and like have a conversation
[47:20] Speaker 1: like I got this for you and go. But that
[47:26] Speaker 1: that is a tough I would be upset if that
[47:29] Speaker 1: was what I opened up, if there was.
[47:31] Speaker 5: No prior conversation, if we if you hadn't mentioned it before,
[47:34] Speaker 5: and then.
[47:35] Speaker 1: If you know I wanted for it, don't know where
[47:39] Speaker 1: to go. Okay, but if ain't none of that going on,
[47:43] Speaker 1: that's gonna certify.
[47:46] Speaker 5: How crazy I ain't. They're going to prove it.
[47:52] Speaker 1: Okay. What about if you cancel your holiday plans with
[48:00] Speaker 1: your significant other to spend time with your family instead,
[48:04] Speaker 1: and maybe you uninvited them too because they thought they
[48:07] Speaker 1: could come and now they can't.
[48:09] Speaker 5: Very naughty, and we're done.
[48:12] Speaker 2: Say it again.
[48:14] Speaker 1: You cancel plans with your significant other to spend time
[48:17] Speaker 1: with your family instead, and you might have also uninvited
[48:21] Speaker 1: them by doing that because they thought that they could come.
[48:24] Speaker 2: M that's mean.
[48:26] Speaker 1: What if you did not uninvite them.
[48:28] Speaker 2: You just never invited them?
[48:31] Speaker 5: Still mean?
[48:31] Speaker 1: But you made plans with them too, like you double
[48:34] Speaker 1: booked yourself and now you got to cancel.
[48:36] Speaker 2: And you chose your family over.
[48:39] Speaker 3: I get weird about the holidays and dating because I'm
[48:42] Speaker 3: one of those people where it's like, choose me.
[48:46] Speaker 1: I think it's naughty only because if you made plans
[48:51] Speaker 1: and then you canceled them, that makes it naughty. If
[48:54] Speaker 1: you just didn't make the plans, that's different.
[48:57] Speaker 6: I still want to know why, because what are we
[48:59] Speaker 6: doing in this relationship ship if we're not spending the holid?
[49:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's not a balid conversation.
[49:04] Speaker 3: Yeah, if we're in a relationship and then the holidays
[49:06] Speaker 3: come around and it's starting to get weird and we
[49:08] Speaker 3: don't want to talk about, like what we're doing with families.
[49:10] Speaker 3: If I'm not saying I need to be embedded. You
[49:12] Speaker 3: never know how long you've been dating. But I'm one
[49:14] Speaker 3: of those people. I don't care how long we've been dating.
[49:15] Speaker 3: If we're saying we're dating and you are entering in
[49:18] Speaker 3: my body, somebody's coming to somebody's family's house.
[49:21] Speaker 5: Or you're at least inviting me and giving me the chance,
[49:24] Speaker 5: you're not.
[49:24] Speaker 2: Just like, so what you doing?
[49:27] Speaker 1: Conversation?
[49:28] Speaker 3: You were we gotta communicate, sir. You're sending me a
[49:32] Speaker 3: plenty of.
[49:33] Speaker 1: Food, upset your hat.
[49:37] Speaker 3: We're gonna get real, real different around the holidays.
[49:41] Speaker 1: And I think it's because things get real a lot
[49:43] Speaker 1: more serious. It's not play places the same force would
[49:46] Speaker 1: you love barbecues.
[49:47] Speaker 3: And you start to know your place in somebody's life,
[49:49] Speaker 3: because if you're not the one getting chosen somebody else
[49:52] Speaker 3: seeing that way grandma getting to school a potato sal or.
[49:56] Speaker 1: Nobody is and they have no plans to bring anybody
[49:59] Speaker 1: for a while, and they are actually just not interested
[50:02] Speaker 1: in moving forward. Yeah, either way, you're not the one.
[50:06] Speaker 1: So if you wanted it to be the one you
[50:08] Speaker 1: thought it was and he was waiting around, well, I mean,
[50:10] Speaker 1: you know now it's after Christmas.
[50:12] Speaker 2: You know it wasn't you.
[50:13] Speaker 1: But take this time between now and the new year
[50:16] Speaker 1: and maybe like, don't bring that person in because y'all
[50:19] Speaker 1: are not on the same page, or get a ticket
[50:23] Speaker 1: out of Dululu Island. Because sometimes I will say, and
[50:26] Speaker 1: this happens on both sides. People act like they thought
[50:29] Speaker 1: that something was going to happen, but when they explain
[50:32] Speaker 1: the situation, it's like, well, how did you ever think
[50:35] Speaker 1: that nothing that the other person did should have led
[50:39] Speaker 1: you to believe.
[50:39] Speaker 2: That you were coming for Christmas? Like he ain't been texting.
[50:42] Speaker 1: You, like you're not coming to anything. You can't come
[50:46] Speaker 1: to church nothing.
[50:48] Speaker 2: Oh I don't.
[50:51] Speaker 6: I can't know your place. Just know your place and
[50:54] Speaker 6: don't pretend like it's somewhere.
[50:55] Speaker 1: That's keep your eyes open. That's hard for a lot
[50:57] Speaker 1: of people.
[50:57] Speaker 6: It's very hard because you weren't you want you want
[51:00] Speaker 6: them to want you.
[51:02] Speaker 3: Somebody told me something the other day. I was talking
[51:04] Speaker 3: to a girlfriend of mine. She's a yoga instructor and
[51:06] Speaker 3: so she always goes real deep, and she was like,
[51:09] Speaker 3: you know, our brains were designed to save our lives literally,
[51:13] Speaker 3: so they will romanticize certain things to save you from pain.
[51:19] Speaker 3: Sometimes you gotta like video record your pain and go
[51:23] Speaker 3: back and watch it just to remind your brain. No, no, no,
[51:27] Speaker 3: baby girl, we romanticize in the situation that does not
[51:30] Speaker 3: deserve to be romanticized.
[51:32] Speaker 2: Women can be very forgetful.
[51:34] Speaker 3: There's a word for it, and it's because we give
[51:36] Speaker 3: We're made to give birth, and so you forget, you
[51:39] Speaker 3: forget pain, you forget it. That's how you can have
[51:42] Speaker 3: multiple kids, y'all. Was just like, oh shit, let me
[51:44] Speaker 3: start video recording.
[51:45] Speaker 6: Listen my breakup strategy. When I was a single woman,
[51:48] Speaker 6: I felt like I was like a breakup artist. I
[51:49] Speaker 6: was like, I was like master this thing. But one
[51:53] Speaker 6: of the things that I would do is I would
[51:54] Speaker 6: literally make like a breakup list in my phone of
[51:57] Speaker 6: like all of the horrible things that this person has
[51:59] Speaker 6: done to me. So if I ever slipped back into
[52:02] Speaker 6: de Lulu lane. I can just remind myself like, no,
[52:06] Speaker 6: there's no way, and then.
[52:08] Speaker 3: It's like if, but if the way does come and
[52:10] Speaker 3: you just ignore the list, it's.
[52:11] Speaker 5: Like, yeah, you have this evidence.
[52:14] Speaker 2: Yes, you need the therapy.
[52:16] Speaker 6: You have to remind yourself of those things, because we
[52:18] Speaker 6: will go to the fantasy of what we thought it
[52:20] Speaker 6: was going to be in the good times we had
[52:22] Speaker 6: and all the ship he told you, and then you'll
[52:24] Speaker 6: slip right back into that.
[52:26] Speaker 2: Now you're in the bathtub crying with a yeast affection.
[52:29] Speaker 5: Girl and a baby. No, no, we made up a
[52:33] Speaker 5: whole scenario and a baby. Don't do it. Don't do it.
[52:40] Speaker 1: That sounds stressful and very uncomfortable to all my lady parts.
[52:43] Speaker 3: Okay, okay, this is my last this, this is the
[52:46] Speaker 3: last one. It's just popped in my head too. Is
[52:47] Speaker 3: this naughty or nice? Okay, you're going on a trip.
[52:50] Speaker 3: He planned it and it's a good trip. You getting
[52:53] Speaker 3: flued out, you're in love. He got himself a first
[52:57] Speaker 3: class ticket and you and you in comfort place.
[53:00] Speaker 1: That is very naughty.
[53:01] Speaker 5: Question.
[53:02] Speaker 6: Did he get randomly upgraded or did he purchase himself
[53:05] Speaker 6: a first class question?
[53:07] Speaker 2: Let's say that.
[53:09] Speaker 6: Either way, my man cannot sit in first class without me,
[53:11] Speaker 6: so it don't really matter what that This is a
[53:13] Speaker 6: real question.
[53:13] Speaker 5: Me and my husband had.
[53:14] Speaker 6: No, you can't do it because this has happened where
[53:16] Speaker 6: he will get the random upgrade. No, nigga, and he'll
[53:18] Speaker 6: be like, you can go. No, we are on this
[53:20] Speaker 6: flight together.
[53:22] Speaker 2: This is the first woman that sat the girl in
[53:24] Speaker 2: it together.
[53:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, you going to first class, absolutely, and I've done it.
[53:29] Speaker 3: I had.
[53:30] Speaker 1: We were on the same flight when you did it,
[53:31] Speaker 1: and I walked. I was in first class. The man
[53:35] Speaker 1: that came I got the upgrade, and I'm not passing
[53:37] Speaker 1: rade though, Yeah.
[53:38] Speaker 5: Okay, you wanted to pass back a free drink.
[53:41] Speaker 1: He was in Comfort Plus, so he had drinks and
[53:44] Speaker 1: I offered. When I got the upgrade, I was going
[53:48] Speaker 1: to see if I could just surprise him and pay
[53:50] Speaker 1: for his upgrade. I was going to do that, but
[53:53] Speaker 1: they didn't have no more upgrades available. So I'm sorry
[53:56] Speaker 1: to that man. He still made it to the destination.
[53:59] Speaker 1: We still got there, and it wasn't like he paid
[54:01] Speaker 1: for the destination. That was that was a trip because
[54:05] Speaker 1: of us, so and he had a great time circumstances,
[54:08] Speaker 1: but it's not like everything lied together, we died together.
[54:14] Speaker 2: If I get an upgrade, I'm denying me.
[54:16] Speaker 1: I'm coming to the buy am not. And what do
[54:18] Speaker 1: they tell you on the plane? You know, because you've
[54:20] Speaker 1: been in a flight attendant before for many years, you
[54:23] Speaker 1: gotta save yourself first before you can help anybody else.
[54:27] Speaker 1: And we all were on the plane. We all made
[54:30] Speaker 1: it to the destination. Everything was fine.
[54:32] Speaker 5: He didn't.
[54:34] Speaker 1: Because he could have bought it. He got guy, he
[54:37] Speaker 1: could have bought a first class ticket to begin with,
[54:39] Speaker 1: because when we were going on the trip, initially the
[54:42] Speaker 1: first class was open, so if you if you need
[54:45] Speaker 1: to really get there. And so it didn't work out.
[54:46] Speaker 1: But on the way back we sat together. But on
[54:49] Speaker 1: the way there isn't happening. Oh well, and I would
[54:51] Speaker 1: do it again. I also on the flip side, I'll
[54:55] Speaker 1: be honest. On the flip side, I would not have
[54:57] Speaker 1: been upset if his flight got upgraded and mine didn't
[55:00] Speaker 1: and I had to sit back there, like go have
[55:02] Speaker 1: fun and enjoy it.
[55:03] Speaker 3: Is why I would be pissed because most people that
[55:07] Speaker 3: I date, we have so much fun together, Like the
[55:12] Speaker 3: actual presence of us just being everything we do is
[55:16] Speaker 3: like we just have fun.
[55:17] Speaker 2: Together. No, so we.
[55:19] Speaker 5: Come back in for the fun.
[55:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like what you're doing on the plane together,
[55:22] Speaker 1: playing games.
[55:23] Speaker 3: We'll download certain shows, movies like I'm a We just
[55:28] Speaker 3: have so much fun, telling jokes, talking about people, like
[55:32] Speaker 3: holding hands and cuddling and sleeping, like I want if
[55:35] Speaker 3: I'm traveling with you, I truly want to be I
[55:37] Speaker 3: want to just.
[55:38] Speaker 2: Be with you. When is jo I'm a Libra, I'm
[55:41] Speaker 2: a lover girl.
[55:42] Speaker 6: I love definitely Libra And I'm like, so none of that,
[55:46] Speaker 6: but I love that October.
[55:48] Speaker 3: That's what I'm a September September libers. And also they
[55:51] Speaker 3: totally did different ouse. I'm like, oh, what what is
[55:55] Speaker 3: that I expect?
[55:57] Speaker 2: Girl, I'm talking about I need. I want to hold
[55:59] Speaker 2: hands the whole flight, to be in their skin.
[56:01] Speaker 5: I am that that way a little bit. Yeah I can't.
[56:06] Speaker 1: I can handle the end for a little bit, but
[56:08] Speaker 1: I haven't needing space needs space, And I like to
[56:12] Speaker 1: communicate that so that everybody knows this is me. I
[56:17] Speaker 1: just don't be offended.
[56:18] Speaker 6: But I mean, and if you travel with someone like
[56:22] Speaker 6: for more than five days, do you start feeling like, Okay,
[56:25] Speaker 6: I gotta run downstairs and take thirty minutes to myself
[56:28] Speaker 6: or do you start feeling like that or are you
[56:30] Speaker 6: still like what's your max that you can like be
[56:32] Speaker 6: up under someone?
[56:34] Speaker 2: It depends on who it is. Honestly, it depends on
[56:36] Speaker 2: who it is.
[56:37] Speaker 3: I'm the type of person where I know, like in
[56:39] Speaker 3: a relationship, I like to do most things together and
[56:44] Speaker 3: I want to be with somebody that. But I've been
[56:49] Speaker 3: in the position where I'm traveling with someone and it
[56:51] Speaker 3: is like, oh no, I need a minute, like I
[56:54] Speaker 3: need a break, and I'm actually just gonna lie and
[56:56] Speaker 3: act like I have.
[56:57] Speaker 2: Something cool and I don't.
[56:59] Speaker 3: Or if I friend in the city, I'm going and
[57:01] Speaker 3: you can't come like but but that wouldn't work for me.
[57:04] Speaker 3: I'm someone that pays attention to, like I want to
[57:06] Speaker 3: be married, and so if I feel that way, it's
[57:09] Speaker 3: probably not my guy because I don't want to be
[57:10] Speaker 3: running from you. I'm running where are we going?
[57:15] Speaker 1: Sometimes it's not about the other person. You just want
[57:18] Speaker 1: some space sometime or not even mad, like I'm fine,
[57:22] Speaker 1: but I just I don't want to talk. I don't
[57:23] Speaker 1: want to do it, and you're going to be upset
[57:26] Speaker 1: if I don't want to engage and I don't want
[57:27] Speaker 1: to upset you, so like, let me just take a
[57:29] Speaker 1: minute because I need a minute. It's a lot of
[57:32] Speaker 1: togetherness and I just want a little space and I
[57:35] Speaker 1: don't want to upset you either, but now I'm getting upset.
[57:38] Speaker 1: So the compromise is I will go do something and
[57:40] Speaker 1: I might pick a time when you sleep anyway, or
[57:43] Speaker 1: you can you can go do this other thing that
[57:45] Speaker 1: you wanted to do by yourself.
[57:46] Speaker 3: I be mad and still want to be with you.
[57:50] Speaker 1: You absolutely not no, no, no.
[57:54] Speaker 3: No, but to the flight back to the flight thing.
[57:56] Speaker 3: I just wanted to share this story because scenarios be
[57:59] Speaker 3: all different. One time, when I was getting fluke out
[58:01] Speaker 3: with a man who is now dead, rest in.
[58:03] Speaker 2: Peace, niggas.
[58:04] Speaker 3: He this was before you could like do the whole
[58:07] Speaker 3: check in on your phone and everything, and.
[58:09] Speaker 6: Girl, you said rest in peace, nigga. I have never
[58:11] Speaker 6: heard it before. Please continue.
[58:13] Speaker 5: Wow.
[58:14] Speaker 2: He was like, do you want to come?
[58:16] Speaker 3: He had a he was like a manager and Lord Jesus,
[58:21] Speaker 3: he was like, do you want to come to Orlando
[58:23] Speaker 3: with us like such and such as a show?
[58:25] Speaker 2: You want to come? I was so excited. I was
[58:27] Speaker 2: so excited.
[58:28] Speaker 3: You'd be dumb in your twenties and I'm like, yeah,
[58:31] Speaker 3: I'm going to go. And so he gets the flights
[58:33] Speaker 3: and this is before like you're checking in online. You
[58:35] Speaker 3: got to go to the gate and like check in.
[58:37] Speaker 3: This is some years ago and we met at the airport.
[58:40] Speaker 3: He was at the gate. I go check in. I
[58:42] Speaker 3: meet him at the gate and I'm just like so excited.
[58:44] Speaker 3: I'm like fine with him and this like celebrity dude.
[58:49] Speaker 3: We go to board. They start calling the groups. They're
[58:51] Speaker 3: like first class. He gets up to go board and
[58:53] Speaker 3: I was like, hmm, I was in group nine.
[58:58] Speaker 2: I get up to go board.
[59:00] Speaker 3: I get up to go board. I walked past him
[59:02] Speaker 3: on first class. We are traveling together. He brought me
[59:06] Speaker 3: a drink to the back. I might I might be triggered.
[59:09] Speaker 3: That's why I need to sit with you and your
[59:10] Speaker 3: hand and laid my hand on your shoulder the whole
[59:12] Speaker 3: fucking flight. He brought me a drink back and this
[59:15] Speaker 3: white lady was sitting next to me and she was like, honey,
[59:17] Speaker 3: are you traveling with him?
[59:19] Speaker 2: And I was like yeah.
[59:19] Speaker 3: She was like this is unacceptable. I know your mother
[59:22] Speaker 3: raised you better than this. I was so embarrassed and
[59:26] Speaker 3: I didn't even know that I should have been before
[59:27] Speaker 3: the white lady tapped me. I was like, I'm getting
[59:30] Speaker 3: fleued out, and I didn't know. That's not how you
[59:32] Speaker 3: do it. That's not how you do it. If that's
[59:34] Speaker 3: happening to you, that's not how you do it.
[59:36] Speaker 2: And he brought me my drink back. He went sat
[59:38] Speaker 2: back down, And.
[59:39] Speaker 5: How did the rest of the trip go? Because that
[59:41] Speaker 5: was on the way where y'all were.
[59:42] Speaker 1: Going were That was on the way.
[59:44] Speaker 3: That was on the way, and you have to remember
[59:45] Speaker 3: I was in my twenties, So the rest of the
[59:47] Speaker 3: trip still went really good. What everybody, well, I am
[59:55] Speaker 3: so sorry that that happened to you.
[59:58] Speaker 1: That's the only space and I will be in first
[1:00:01] Speaker 1: and you can be wherever you're gonna be. You pay
[1:00:03] Speaker 1: for your own upgrade or do whatever you need to do,
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: and don't be mad. Read your book, take a nap.
[1:00:09] Speaker 1: She can be energized when we get there, because I
[1:00:12] Speaker 1: also don't like when I get to a destination and
[1:00:14] Speaker 1: you stayed up on the whole flight. Now you need
[1:00:16] Speaker 1: the TV shows and now you want to sleep all day.
[1:00:18] Speaker 1: I don't want to sleep. We're here. You should took
[1:00:20] Speaker 1: your nap. You need to drink your drink so that
[1:00:22] Speaker 1: you can sleep easily. Please tell me scared.
[1:00:24] Speaker 5: Please tell me your zodiac sign as well. Yes, I guess. Oh,
[1:00:31] Speaker 5: I don't want to guess. It could be offensive.
[1:00:32] Speaker 1: She does, I won't be I won't. She likes space,
[1:00:36] Speaker 1: I like I won't be offended. Yes, in a date
[1:00:42] Speaker 1: September thirteenth, I don't like space.
[1:00:46] Speaker 5: Okay, you said you should. You need to have taken
[1:00:48] Speaker 5: your nap when you said that, Yes, virgo your nap.
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: To talk about these things like, okay, we're trying. How
[1:00:56] Speaker 1: you like to do it, especially if I haven't done
[1:00:57] Speaker 1: it with you before. How do you like to do things?
[1:01:00] Speaker 1: Would kind of trip? I need to know these things
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: because I gotta mentally kind of traveler?
[1:01:05] Speaker 5: Are you? That's a real thing, dude.
[1:01:07] Speaker 3: I always tell people you're dating somebody, make sure you travel.
[1:01:11] Speaker 2: With them before you get married. When you travel with somebody,
[1:01:15] Speaker 2: you learn a lot about them. You see how they
[1:01:17] Speaker 2: treat people. You see if they're on time. I'm not.
[1:01:19] Speaker 2: I don't play with time in the airport. If you
[1:01:21] Speaker 2: run in late by the skin of your chinny, chin chin,
[1:01:24] Speaker 2: I don't like that shit.
[1:01:25] Speaker 3: It is a character flaw. Why are you doing this
[1:01:28] Speaker 3: at the airport. Why didn't you pack right?
[1:01:30] Speaker 1: You knew you had a bottle of lotion in the luggage.
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: Why don't you have pre check or clear We could.
[1:01:37] Speaker 5: Have set it up, but you didn't plan.
[1:01:40] Speaker 2: It tells you a lot about somebody.
[1:01:43] Speaker 1: Telling you there too. If you don't have pre check
[1:01:46] Speaker 1: Global Entraine.
[1:01:47] Speaker 5: Now, yeah, that's different, that's totally.
[1:01:50] Speaker 2: But I also have not experienced it.
[1:01:51] Speaker 3: Girl.
[1:01:52] Speaker 5: I'm not saying in general admission for.
[1:01:54] Speaker 2: But here's what you do.
[1:01:55] Speaker 3: I need to we need to have a conversation, like
[1:01:57] Speaker 3: before we even get to the flight.
[1:01:58] Speaker 2: You got to pre check. You have clearly get it. Yeah,
[1:02:01] Speaker 2: let's get it.
[1:02:02] Speaker 1: I mean pre check is something that you can get overnight.
[1:02:05] Speaker 1: I have a plan for that, but yeah, playing I
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: send the promo code.
[1:02:09] Speaker 3: When you travel with somebody, you see if they're a planner,
[1:02:11] Speaker 3: you get to see who's the planner.
[1:02:12] Speaker 5: You didn't even know what Global Entry was.
[1:02:15] Speaker 1: Even the free mobile passport app. You don't have your passport.
[1:02:19] Speaker 2: They're like, I don't have a passport.
[1:02:20] Speaker 5: All of those things those tell you who you are.
[1:02:23] Speaker 1: We talk about an international trip. If you don't have
[1:02:26] Speaker 1: the proper document.
[1:02:28] Speaker 3: Well, let's just say we're trying to see where we're
[1:02:29] Speaker 3: going in the summer. You just happen to say, let's
[1:02:31] Speaker 3: go to I don't know, let's go to Tulum. And
[1:02:32] Speaker 3: he's like, oh, I have a passport?
[1:02:34] Speaker 1: Oh okay, well are you ready to get it. I'm
[1:02:39] Speaker 1: not gonna lie.
[1:02:40] Speaker 3: I can't continue this because why that would be we
[1:02:42] Speaker 3: are forty six years old?
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: Forty six I'm not Did you see the comment on
[1:02:49] Speaker 1: one of the episode was a little we made a joke.
[1:02:51] Speaker 1: We always talk about our are seventy eight. I have
[1:02:54] Speaker 1: lied so much about my age, and this day I
[1:02:57] Speaker 1: told the truth. Whatever my age is, who knows, anyway,
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: I told the truth and Medina we're the same age.
[1:03:03] Speaker 1: We are ten days together. Yeah, she's like, I'm not
[1:03:07] Speaker 1: whatever age I said to day, I'm not that. And
[1:03:10] Speaker 1: I was like, oh okay, And so somebody was like, oh,
[1:03:12] Speaker 1: I didn't realize y'all were so far apartoner age. I
[1:03:14] Speaker 1: was like, girl, that was a joke.
[1:03:16] Speaker 3: And that's why I'm going to get some feelers in
[1:03:18] Speaker 3: my face and my chin done because y'all think we.
[1:03:20] Speaker 5: Old don't do it. Did you see the lady with
[1:03:23] Speaker 5: the pas.
[1:03:23] Speaker 2: I'm doing it? Yeah? Good? Did you that.
[1:03:29] Speaker 1: You I'm not dying before. Sometimes people go to people
[1:03:36] Speaker 1: no matter how much money they have, they are still
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: going to people you are not like.
[1:03:43] Speaker 5: Do you know what that is?
[1:03:44] Speaker 1: Well, she said it was a paras I think she
[1:03:46] Speaker 1: just had a bad feeler, drive and sympathy. She was
[1:03:50] Speaker 1: on some reality shows that I watched. She has a
[1:03:53] Speaker 1: lot of unscrupulous behaviors.
[1:03:54] Speaker 5: Okay, Okay, so she's not a good example.
[1:03:58] Speaker 1: Okay, there's there's other you know. Have you seen Lindsay
[1:04:01] Speaker 1: Lohan lately? She and Linda and Hilaria Is that Okay?
[1:04:07] Speaker 1: They've been looking nice and lots of people do it,
[1:04:10] Speaker 1: whether you realize it or not. The key is to
[1:04:12] Speaker 1: be conservative in your enhancements. And you don't have to
[1:04:16] Speaker 1: change your face. You enhance your features and that'll help.
[1:04:20] Speaker 5: Don't change your face, enhance your features like make up.
[1:04:23] Speaker 1: But more permanent.
[1:04:24] Speaker 2: I love it more, do it? Okay? So I'm not not.
[1:04:27] Speaker 2: We're gonna move on in Decisive Diana.
[1:04:29] Speaker 3: When we come back, coriol is going to help us
[1:04:31] Speaker 3: give you, ladies and gentlemen, some advice.
[1:04:36] Speaker 5: Would you stop thinking about what everyone wants?
[1:04:39] Speaker 1: Stop thinking about what I want?
[1:04:40] Speaker 2: What do you want?
[1:04:41] Speaker 1: What your parents want.
[1:04:42] Speaker 5: What do you want?
[1:04:43] Speaker 3: What do you want?
[1:04:45] Speaker 5: What do you want?
[1:04:48] Speaker 1: What do you want?
[1:04:54] Speaker 4: Hey, ladies and gentlemen, if you're in the house this
[1:04:59] Speaker 4: week's date, I it's coming from the heart literally. I
[1:05:03] Speaker 4: think you should plan something and this should be a
[1:05:05] Speaker 4: date or you can do it's solo. But do something
[1:05:08] Speaker 4: when you're giving back to the less fortunate, help somebody
[1:05:11] Speaker 4: who needs a little bit of help. Ask your babe
[1:05:14] Speaker 4: if they're interested in giving back. Maybe you go to
[1:05:17] Speaker 4: a soup kitchen. Maybe you donates some clothes. If they
[1:05:20] Speaker 4: say no to that, and if you don't want.
[1:05:22] Speaker 8: To do it, what does it say about you?
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: All Right, and we are back from Indecisive Diana and
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: it's time for the advice. If you have a question
[1:05:56] Speaker 1: that you would like for us to answer on an episode,
[1:06:00] Speaker 1: please email us. The email for that is at vice
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: at cocktailspod dot com and put advice in the subject line.
[1:06:07] Speaker 3: Okay, so this one is titled does she really need
[1:06:13] Speaker 3: to know?
[1:06:17] Speaker 2: I'm gonna just get straight to the point.
[1:06:19] Speaker 1: Thank you.
[1:06:20] Speaker 3: Me and my coworker have been working together for a
[1:06:22] Speaker 3: couple of years. Recently, she told me she's not happy
[1:06:25] Speaker 3: with her pay and is considering a different job. I
[1:06:28] Speaker 3: really didn't want her to leave, but ultimately supported her decision.
[1:06:32] Speaker 3: So I helped with her resume and did some references
[1:06:36] Speaker 3: for her. She ended up getting an offer for eight
[1:06:39] Speaker 3: k more than what she was making now. However, during
[1:06:44] Speaker 3: this time, I got a promotion and would be her manager.
[1:06:48] Speaker 3: The change would happen on January first, twenty twenty five.
[1:06:51] Speaker 3: I can't and won't give her the pay she's looking for.
[1:06:54] Speaker 3: But since we are having a baby in March, why
[1:06:57] Speaker 3: is this the coworker?
[1:07:00] Speaker 2: Okay, people will be outside.
[1:07:04] Speaker 3: Okay, so since we are having a baby in March,
[1:07:08] Speaker 3: nobody knows that at the office. See the holiday party,
[1:07:11] Speaker 3: That's what happened.
[1:07:12] Speaker 2: Does she really need.
[1:07:13] Speaker 3: To know I got promoted and we'll be making an
[1:07:14] Speaker 3: additional seventeen k per year, or does it not matter
[1:07:17] Speaker 3: because she's leaving?
[1:07:18] Speaker 2: Best?
[1:07:21] Speaker 1: No way, the goddamn miss.
[1:07:23] Speaker 2: I'm very confused.
[1:07:24] Speaker 1: You are having a baby, a baby with your coworker.
[1:07:29] Speaker 1: Your coworker wants to leave because she's not making enough.
[1:07:33] Speaker 1: But you, since she's been applying for jobs and she's
[1:07:37] Speaker 1: gotten an offer, you are getting a job with your
[1:07:40] Speaker 1: baby mama or baby daddy baby mama, and you're going
[1:07:45] Speaker 1: to be making seventeen thousand more dollars. You don't want
[1:07:50] Speaker 1: to tell her that you got a pay increase or
[1:07:53] Speaker 1: that you got a promotion, And is that a secret
[1:07:55] Speaker 1: that you really intend to keep from her? And you're
[1:07:59] Speaker 1: calling her worker? So like, did y'all do like one
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: of those team building retreats and you really worked on
[1:08:05] Speaker 1: building but instead of building a team, you started trying
[1:08:07] Speaker 1: to build a family. And then you were like, how
[1:08:10] Speaker 1: did this happen? This is why I say say no
[1:08:11] Speaker 1: to coworkers. But you know, sometimes it works out. I
[1:08:14] Speaker 1: don't know many people it does. This is wild, and
[1:08:18] Speaker 1: then that would be really inappropriate. I don't well, I
[1:08:23] Speaker 1: don't know if y'all are dating. I think that part
[1:08:26] Speaker 1: will not work because you likes to keep real, big
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: important secrets. I think it. I think it matters, But
[1:08:34] Speaker 1: I don't want you to tell her because I don't
[1:08:35] Speaker 1: want you to stress her out. If she is about
[1:08:37] Speaker 1: to have this baby in three months, she's in the end.
[1:08:41] Speaker 3: I just think she's gonna find out when she is
[1:08:44] Speaker 3: getting child support from me, So tell her now or don't.
[1:08:47] Speaker 2: She's gonna get a check from you.
[1:08:49] Speaker 1: And if this sounds like your man, you let us
[1:08:51] Speaker 1: know because girl, and tell us how you like?
[1:08:56] Speaker 2: What do you think you should tell her?
[1:08:59] Speaker 5: My question is why she wants to tell her?
[1:09:01] Speaker 3: That's what I'm confused about, Like what is it when
[1:09:03] Speaker 3: people be like should I shu?
[1:09:06] Speaker 5: Why shouldn't you?
[1:09:07] Speaker 1: I don't get it. I feel like the only thing
[1:09:11] Speaker 1: that doesn't sound like the absolute worst, which most of
[1:09:16] Speaker 1: my ideas that are coming to my head right now
[1:09:18] Speaker 1: are like horrible. The only thing I can think of
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: is it possibly starting an argument, because now he would
[1:09:25] Speaker 1: be her manager and she might feel like he will
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: have the power to give her the race that she
[1:09:31] Speaker 1: wants and to avoid that. Maybe that's why that's the
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: only half nothing.
[1:09:36] Speaker 6: To do with the seventeen thousand, that has to do
[1:09:38] Speaker 6: with the the promotion to manager. But why would you
[1:09:42] Speaker 6: not want her to know you're making more money? To me,
[1:09:44] Speaker 6: that's like you're hiding that you're making more money?
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: Does she know how much money you make?
[1:09:47] Speaker 2: All right?
[1:09:47] Speaker 1: Already?
[1:09:48] Speaker 3: I think this is where like good communication comes into place,
[1:09:51] Speaker 3: because technically nobody has to tell anybody how much they're making.
[1:09:54] Speaker 6: But if they've already been having these active conversations, I'm
[1:09:56] Speaker 6: making this, I'm making this, and now it changes and
[1:09:58] Speaker 6: then you don't say the guys.
[1:10:00] Speaker 3: I think when he didn't ever tell her how much
[1:10:03] Speaker 3: he was making, she did it.
[1:10:05] Speaker 5: But I thought she knew how much less she was
[1:10:07] Speaker 5: making than him.
[1:10:07] Speaker 2: It came more than what she was making.
[1:10:09] Speaker 3: Oh, she was telling she's making more than what she
[1:10:12] Speaker 3: was making out she gave all that information.
[1:10:14] Speaker 2: I actually don't think you need to tell her.
[1:10:16] Speaker 3: But the way that you posed it, it made it
[1:10:17] Speaker 3: seem like you were doing something wrong, but you really not.
[1:10:20] Speaker 2: I don't really know, sir. Just do your job.
[1:10:24] Speaker 1: But I think they're having a baby together. That is
[1:10:29] Speaker 1: when you need to discuss finances.
[1:10:31] Speaker 5: Why didn't he say my girlfriend?
[1:10:32] Speaker 2: Why did?
[1:10:33] Speaker 3: I don't think girl? So do you need to discuss finances.
[1:10:37] Speaker 1: If you're having a baby together and there are still
[1:10:39] Speaker 1: financial obligations that need to be had.
[1:10:42] Speaker 3: But that doesn't include you knowing how much I make.
[1:10:44] Speaker 3: Like I said, if the government gets involved, that you're
[1:10:46] Speaker 3: gonna get a check. But I think I think that
[1:10:48] Speaker 3: you need to write Everybody needs to write down their expenses,
[1:10:50] Speaker 3: and you need to talk about what you're gonna pay
[1:10:52] Speaker 3: and whatever, but you don't need to actually be like, hey,
[1:10:53] Speaker 3: this is how much I make, Like you need to
[1:10:56] Speaker 3: take care of your baby. But I'm not sure if
[1:10:57] Speaker 3: y'all not going to have a commitment to each other,
[1:10:59] Speaker 3: you might that's not You're gonna be like this wasn't
[1:11:01] Speaker 3: my four oh one k and this is how well
[1:11:02] Speaker 3: I'm doing.
[1:11:02] Speaker 1: Well, I'm not saying that, but if you if you
[1:11:05] Speaker 1: are acting like you make sixty thousand dollars a year
[1:11:08] Speaker 1: when you make one hundred and twenty and so now
[1:11:11] Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, well we're talking about things that we
[1:11:14] Speaker 1: want and budgeting for the baby. How much can you contribute?
[1:11:18] Speaker 1: And you tell me three hundred dollars when it could.
[1:11:20] Speaker 2: Possibly even if we're not angry with each other, you're
[1:11:24] Speaker 2: because I need it.
[1:11:25] Speaker 1: Well, that's why I say, I think it's important to
[1:11:27] Speaker 1: talk about these things. I hope that you get over
[1:11:29] Speaker 1: whatever your fear is in communicating fully and start communicating,
[1:11:35] Speaker 1: because it's going to be a lot more communicating than
[1:11:37] Speaker 1: needs to be done. And if this how you starting off, yeah,
[1:11:41] Speaker 1: I'm scared for everyone involved.
[1:11:43] Speaker 3: You got a promotion in your career, but you need
[1:11:45] Speaker 3: to promote your communication level.
[1:11:49] Speaker 1: All right, Well, good luck. Let us know how it goes,
[1:11:51] Speaker 1: because I'm really curious. Send us a follow up. I'll
[1:11:53] Speaker 1: be waiting, Okay, next one. Hey, y'all, I've been asked.
[1:11:58] Speaker 1: I've been talking to this guy for the past I
[1:12:00] Speaker 1: was recently at his house sleeping over and I went
[1:12:03] Speaker 1: to throw something in the trash and saw a condom,
[1:12:05] Speaker 1: and we don't use condoms, okay. I asked him about
[1:12:10] Speaker 1: it and he lied and said it was his friend.
[1:12:13] Speaker 1: So we went back and forth. He never admitted to anything,
[1:12:16] Speaker 1: so I left. I know he's not my boyfriend, But
[1:12:18] Speaker 1: how would you guys feel react to this? Do I
[1:12:21] Speaker 1: have a right to be upset even though we're not
[1:12:23] Speaker 1: in a relationship. Sent from my iPhone. I'll let y'all answer.
[1:12:26] Speaker 2: First, we listen, We don't judge.
[1:12:29] Speaker 1: Please.
[1:12:30] Speaker 6: No, you do not have the right to be upset.
[1:12:33] Speaker 6: That's my answer, Wow, Because you are not in a
[1:12:36] Speaker 6: committed relationship with this person, and he's obviously having safe
[1:12:41] Speaker 6: sex with whoever else he's sleeping with. So the lack
[1:12:44] Speaker 6: of commitment, in my opinion, gives you no leg to
[1:12:47] Speaker 6: stand on. Now, if we have committed to each other,
[1:12:50] Speaker 6: I have the reasonable expectation that you are not having
[1:12:53] Speaker 6: sex with anybody else unless that's something that we've discussed.
[1:12:56] Speaker 6: But if we have not had a conversation, then I
[1:12:57] Speaker 6: just can't make that assumption.
[1:13:00] Speaker 2: Smart girl right there, But the girls aren't smart.
[1:13:02] Speaker 1: What do you do?
[1:13:05] Speaker 3: I think listen, I don't Sometimes I just don't know
[1:13:12] Speaker 3: how people. I don't know how who if we are
[1:13:19] Speaker 3: not committed. I see what you're saying, because it is like, bro,
[1:13:24] Speaker 3: when I was out there, it was like, you gotta
[1:13:27] Speaker 3: protect your heart and your feelings and we're not perfect
[1:13:30] Speaker 3: and everybody is gonna make mistakes. There were some men
[1:13:33] Speaker 3: that I have dealt with where it was like I
[1:13:36] Speaker 3: already know that doesn't mean that everything they did was
[1:13:39] Speaker 3: right or everything they did was wrong, but it's still
[1:13:41] Speaker 3: like when it comes to like that, are you having
[1:13:43] Speaker 3: sex with other people? I stand on this, even if
[1:13:46] Speaker 3: your feelings are hurt, If you don't have the conversation,
[1:13:51] Speaker 3: I don't know what to tell you. And there are
[1:13:52] Speaker 3: so many men and women who won't just be like,
[1:13:55] Speaker 3: even if you're heading towards a relationship. When I got
[1:13:58] Speaker 3: in a relationship with my boyfriend and I asked him
[1:14:00] Speaker 3: was he having sex with other people? Because you people
[1:14:02] Speaker 3: aren't going to just outwardly give you that information if
[1:14:05] Speaker 3: you don't ask.
[1:14:06] Speaker 2: I was alarmed at the number of women.
[1:14:07] Speaker 3: He was having sex with, and I was still having
[1:14:10] Speaker 3: sex with people, so I couldn't even be mad. Like
[1:14:12] Speaker 3: what you have to literally verbat them say are you
[1:14:16] Speaker 3: having sex with anybody else?
[1:14:17] Speaker 1: Or else?
[1:14:17] Speaker 3: People are having sex with other people? That is literally
[1:14:20] Speaker 3: how it goes. I don't care how serious you think
[1:14:23] Speaker 3: you are. I don't care, bro, you got to have
[1:14:26] Speaker 3: the conversation. So I think that it sucks that you
[1:14:27] Speaker 3: find yourself in this situation, but you have to ask
[1:14:30] Speaker 3: people if it's serious to you. There have been men
[1:14:31] Speaker 3: where it's like, I know you're having sex with other people,
[1:14:33] Speaker 3: and I don't want to actually know. So if I
[1:14:35] Speaker 3: look in the trash and I see a condom, I
[1:14:37] Speaker 3: can't even be mad at anybody but myself because I
[1:14:39] Speaker 3: already knew that this was going on. Now, like answer,
[1:14:43] Speaker 3: we said the same answer, Like you said, It's like,
[1:14:45] Speaker 3: if we have the conversation, then that's a different thing.
[1:14:47] Speaker 3: And if you have the conversation, you would be surprised
[1:14:50] Speaker 3: at how honest certain people would be. I think it
[1:14:52] Speaker 3: depends on the type of man you like, cause some
[1:14:53] Speaker 3: people you just do go for men that just ain't
[1:14:55] Speaker 3: shit and that's on you or women who just ancient
[1:14:58] Speaker 3: and that's on you. So it's like, y'all gotta communicate.
[1:15:01] Speaker 3: If someone you're dealing with someone, whether you're serious or not,
[1:15:05] Speaker 3: and they're having sex with them, having sex with their people,
[1:15:07] Speaker 3: would bother you. You have to ask. You have to just ask.
[1:15:11] Speaker 3: I don't know what are you having sex with other people?
[1:15:15] Speaker 3: Does anyone else think that you're their boyfriend?
[1:15:19] Speaker 1: I think that a big mistake people make is thinking
[1:15:22] Speaker 1: that when you are having sex with somebody on some
[1:15:27] Speaker 1: form of a consistent basis, or just more than once,
[1:15:30] Speaker 1: twice or three times or on holidays, just because you
[1:15:36] Speaker 1: have unprotected sex. There is no unwritten rule, law, regulation
[1:15:43] Speaker 1: that says that the person can't be with somebody else
[1:15:46] Speaker 1: or is not with somebody else, whether they choose to
[1:15:49] Speaker 1: use protection with the other people or not. I agree
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: with the point that you can't be upset that he
[1:15:57] Speaker 1: has sex with somebody else because it doesn't sound like
[1:16:01] Speaker 1: there was any sort of commitment. I think that you
[1:16:03] Speaker 1: might have assumed that there was because y'all are having
[1:16:07] Speaker 1: unprotected sex. Now you said that he lied. I feel
[1:16:13] Speaker 1: like he lied too, right, But you don't really know
[1:16:17] Speaker 1: that he lied, just like you also don't know where
[1:16:20] Speaker 1: y'all really stand what else is going on, And instead
[1:16:25] Speaker 1: of picking a fight about the trash, I think a
[1:16:29] Speaker 1: better and possibly a better opportunity for you to get
[1:16:34] Speaker 1: some real clarity on whatever it is y'all were doing
[1:16:37] Speaker 1: when you saw the condom. Instead of asking him about
[1:16:39] Speaker 1: the condom, just take that as a sign that you
[1:16:42] Speaker 1: need to talk to him about who else he's sleeping with,
[1:16:46] Speaker 1: without doing the accusatory thing and all of that. Sometimes,
[1:16:49] Speaker 1: when you find yourself in situations like this, because it
[1:16:52] Speaker 1: does happen, instead of doing this stuff where probably gonna lie,
[1:16:58] Speaker 1: skip that, get to the root of it, because the
[1:17:00] Speaker 1: root of it is you want to know is this
[1:17:02] Speaker 1: person fucking somebody else? Now you're convinced you don't really
[1:17:05] Speaker 1: know unless you saw it happen. He never told you that.
[1:17:07] Speaker 1: You're assuming that he's lying. I agree, but I don't
[1:17:11] Speaker 1: know neither because I wasn't there and I don't know
[1:17:13] Speaker 1: anybody involved. You have got to start asking the questions.
[1:17:17] Speaker 1: And because something looks like something walks like something, I
[1:17:20] Speaker 1: know they say looks like a duck walks like a duck,
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: it's a duck.
[1:17:23] Speaker 2: Not always, because sometimes it looks like a man and
[1:17:25] Speaker 2: is a woman.
[1:17:28] Speaker 5: It's a fact these.
[1:17:31] Speaker 1: Well, I was just gonna say, sometimes it looks like
[1:17:32] Speaker 1: a relationship and sometimes it's a placeholder, but okay, that
[1:17:36] Speaker 1: can apply as well. So I just hope that going forward,
[1:17:41] Speaker 1: skip that part that's gonna help you get to the
[1:17:44] Speaker 1: truth more. It's gonna help. It's not a solution, it
[1:17:47] Speaker 1: will help and just sometimes you got to look at
[1:17:50] Speaker 1: the non verbal too. So good luck to you, girl.
[1:17:52] Speaker 1: And I don't think that you're wrong for leaving. Asked
[1:17:55] Speaker 1: us what we would have done in that situation. If
[1:17:57] Speaker 1: I was in the situation and I felt like somebody
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: was lying to me, I would leave too. You were
[1:18:02] Speaker 1: not wrong for that, because at the end of the day,
[1:18:05] Speaker 1: is your body is your choice, and it's also your feelings,
[1:18:08] Speaker 1: and you feel like he's lying, so you have every
[1:18:11] Speaker 1: right to get up and go and in that situation.
[1:18:13] Speaker 1: Good luck, and I hope this is something that you
[1:18:16] Speaker 1: leave behind.
[1:18:17] Speaker 2: To add something to this real case.
[1:18:19] Speaker 3: This is I'm just being funny at this one because
[1:18:21] Speaker 3: I had a friend that was in a situation literally
[1:18:22] Speaker 3: kind of like this.
[1:18:23] Speaker 2: I'm like, is this her? And she was like, he's
[1:18:25] Speaker 2: sleeping with someone else. I saw the content and the thing.
[1:18:27] Speaker 3: And I was just listening to her because I'm her
[1:18:29] Speaker 3: friend and I'm listening and I'm like, oh man, I
[1:18:30] Speaker 3: love you so much. And I and She's like, and
[1:18:32] Speaker 3: I know I'm sleeping other people too, but and I
[1:18:34] Speaker 3: was like, now.
[1:18:36] Speaker 2: Friend, what are we talking? Sometimes I really do you
[1:18:39] Speaker 2: ever just be like, what are we doing?
[1:18:41] Speaker 3: Y'all? So if you are also sleeping with somebody else's
[1:18:44] Speaker 3: also maybe you need the gift of therapy, y'all. Soo, okay,
[1:18:47] Speaker 3: thank you for writing men.
[1:18:49] Speaker 1: All right, And on that note, we're going to move
[1:18:51] Speaker 1: on to the cocktails before we get out of here.
[1:18:53] Speaker 1: So if you have a cocktail that you like to
[1:18:55] Speaker 1: share on the show, please send it to us. The
[1:18:57] Speaker 1: email is cocktail coockt A L. E. S at cocktails
[1:19:02] Speaker 1: pod dot com and put cocktails in the subject line.
[1:19:06] Speaker 5: Uh uh, but it ain't got them on? Is this
[1:19:20] Speaker 5: on cash and the pot?
[1:19:24] Speaker 1: Once upon a time, not long.
[1:19:25] Speaker 8: Ago, I was all.
[1:19:30] Speaker 1: Right, coreyol, it's your time to shine. We are so
[1:19:34] Speaker 1: ready to hear your cocktail.
[1:19:35] Speaker 6: You're so ready. So disclaimer. Now you all said this
[1:19:40] Speaker 6: cocktail could be romantic.
[1:19:41] Speaker 1: Also, yeah, we've had a few romantic ones.
[1:19:44] Speaker 6: Okay, so my cocktail is my engagement story. Okay, So
[1:19:50] Speaker 6: my boyfriend at the time had set up plans for
[1:19:57] Speaker 6: all of my friends to meet us in Vegas, and
[1:20:00] Speaker 6: he had this proposal planned that was March twenty twenty,
[1:20:06] Speaker 6: so we're supposed to go, I think like the first
[1:20:07] Speaker 6: week of April. The first week of April, we're supposed
[1:20:10] Speaker 6: to go. It was like April fourth weekend. COVID literally
[1:20:15] Speaker 6: happened and shut everything down like the week prior to,
[1:20:18] Speaker 6: so everybody's flights got canceled, everything got canceled. But he
[1:20:21] Speaker 6: wanted to propose to me on four four, twenty twenty,
[1:20:25] Speaker 6: and so he ended up having to change plans because
[1:20:28] Speaker 6: everything was closed down. But y'all know, Atlanta was still
[1:20:31] Speaker 6: kind of hallway open. So he ended up finding a
[1:20:33] Speaker 6: loft here Castlebury Hill, and it ended up being private
[1:20:37] Speaker 6: and romantic, which is what I wanted because I am
[1:20:39] Speaker 6: not the hey will you marry me with the sign
[1:20:41] Speaker 6: kind of girl. So I do think that God had
[1:20:43] Speaker 6: me in mind when all of this happened. But he
[1:20:45] Speaker 6: ended up having to plan everything himself, decorated everything himself.
[1:20:50] Speaker 5: It was just me and him.
[1:20:50] Speaker 6: He had this rooftop picnic and he had ordered if
[1:20:53] Speaker 6: y'all ever been in Chicago, yes, okay, so he had
[1:20:55] Speaker 6: ordered Portillo's, which is like my favorite food. I grew
[1:20:58] Speaker 6: up in Chicago, So he had ordered that, and so
[1:21:01] Speaker 6: we had that at the picnic. He had Jane Iico
[1:21:03] Speaker 6: when we were young, playing like I would.
[1:21:08] Speaker 5: Have been nicely what that would have been a real cocktail.
[1:21:10] Speaker 6: But no, he had this song on repeat that ended
[1:21:12] Speaker 6: up being the song I walked down the aisle to had.
[1:21:15] Speaker 5: I don't think I had ever heard that song. It's
[1:21:18] Speaker 5: while We're young. Go listen to it.
[1:21:20] Speaker 6: I know it on the way it's just like everything.
[1:21:23] Speaker 6: But yeah, so that was the proposal night. And then
[1:21:26] Speaker 6: the next day, you know, all my friends I found
[1:21:28] Speaker 6: out about the Vegas story. But he planned like a
[1:21:31] Speaker 6: surprise engagement kind of party with the friends who could come,
[1:21:34] Speaker 6: because again it was like the lockdown. But what took
[1:21:37] Speaker 6: it over the top was he had my makeup artists,
[1:21:40] Speaker 6: Like he had went out of his way to schedule
[1:21:43] Speaker 6: for my makeup artists to come to the loft. So
[1:21:45] Speaker 6: when I came out, like came downstairs and saw her there,
[1:21:47] Speaker 6: I just broke down in tears because that was the
[1:21:50] Speaker 6: icing on cake. That he had planned for me to
[1:21:53] Speaker 6: look nice for this engagement party, and that, to me
[1:21:56] Speaker 6: is just a testament. I have a million romantic cocktails
[1:22:00] Speaker 6: for this man, but that was a testament of you
[1:22:03] Speaker 6: went over the tip to wanting me to look good
[1:22:06] Speaker 6: for this moment, for the effort.
[1:22:09] Speaker 3: Now, even though we're ending, I do have a question,
[1:22:11] Speaker 3: do you put in the same effort.
[1:22:14] Speaker 6: I feel like I want to say yes, but he
[1:22:18] Speaker 6: is so good to me that I hope.
[1:22:21] Speaker 5: So that's my answer. I hope. So I hope he
[1:22:23] Speaker 5: feels the same way he does. I hope.
[1:22:25] Speaker 2: So if that's your answer, he does, that's so beautiful.
[1:22:29] Speaker 1: I would love to see where Kia somewhere. If I'm
[1:22:31] Speaker 1: about to get engaged.
[1:22:32] Speaker 3: You just walk down. Could you imagine if you were
[1:22:34] Speaker 3: like and we're like, oh my gosh, She's.
[1:22:37] Speaker 1: Like, I would already know what time it is.
[1:22:40] Speaker 5: No, so this was the next day after I had
[1:22:42] Speaker 5: got engaged. This is the.
[1:22:43] Speaker 1: Party, Yeah, the party. Okay, so this is a separate times.
[1:22:46] Speaker 5: Yeah it was two separate times. Yeah.
[1:22:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, oh well that helps y.
[1:22:50] Speaker 5: Yes, he did not speil the surprise. I had no idea,
[1:22:52] Speaker 5: But that's beautiful.
[1:22:54] Speaker 1: I love a good engagement story.
[1:22:55] Speaker 2: Me too. I love a good love story, of a
[1:22:57] Speaker 2: good engagement story. I love and how we met story of.
[1:23:01] Speaker 5: All the story.
[1:23:01] Speaker 6: I want to say this one last thing, though some
[1:23:03] Speaker 6: hopes are the single ladies. I have a laundry list
[1:23:06] Speaker 6: of romantic stories from one man. Before that, I got
[1:23:12] Speaker 6: a laundry list of it was a shit show. It
[1:23:15] Speaker 6: was hell date, you know, over and over again.
[1:23:17] Speaker 5: So I say that to say I can.
[1:23:19] Speaker 6: I brag about my husband all the time, but I
[1:23:22] Speaker 6: was very unlucky in love before my husband, and I
[1:23:25] Speaker 6: love to share that for women who feel like every
[1:23:28] Speaker 6: man that they meet is supposed to just be all
[1:23:31] Speaker 6: of the things, because most of the men that I
[1:23:33] Speaker 6: knew before my husband were none of the things. But
[1:23:35] Speaker 6: I feel like God or whoever y'all believe in, saved
[1:23:39] Speaker 6: that one for me. So if y'all all you need.
[1:23:43] Speaker 5: Is one, all you need is one.
[1:23:46] Speaker 3: All you need is all weley needs is that one
