In this week’s episode, actress, writer, producer and professional on-screen villain Lindsay Diann pulls up for a raw, funny, and deeply honest conversation about being paper pregnant, navigating miscarriage, and stepping into baby joy after loss. She shares what it was really like inducing her missed miscarriage at home, how hormones had her feeling unhinged, and what partners should—and shouldn’t—do when you’re carrying that emotional load alone. We dive into the mental shift from “outside girl” to “intentional woman,” why friendships change when marriages and babies enter the chat, and how to be a better friend when someone in your circle goes through trauma. Lindsay also spills on playing the unhinged Leslie on “The Team”, the joy of being a villain, and what’s next for her production company, LA Elite Productions, including her upcoming films “Girls Night,” “The Perfect Proposal,” and “Curious.” And because every episode needs something in the glass, today’s drink is the Prego-Rita — a citrusy mocktail with a sparkling-wine upgrade for the girls who aren’t pregnant. 🍹 Today’s Cocktail: The Prego-Rita (Mocktail + Cocktail) Base: • 2 oz fresh lime juice or alcohol-free margarita mix • 1 oz fresh orange juice • 1 oz agave syrup • Club soda to top • Optional: salt/Tajín rim + jalapeño slices Cocktail Add-On: • 2 oz sparkling wine Directions: Shake lime, orange, and agave over ice. Pour into a rimmed glass over fresh ice. Mocktail: top with club soda. Cocktail: add sparkling wine, then top with club soda. Garnish with jalapeño for a spicy kick. [0:41] Speaker 4: two ounces of sparkling wine if you're making a cocktail
[0:45] Speaker 4: instead of a mocktail. Three to four ounces of club

[1:47] Speaker 4: have a famous person on the show this week.
[1:49] Speaker 2: Okay, so please welcome our guest, Lindsey Diane.
[1:56] Speaker 1: You do a lot. You do a lot.
[1:58] Speaker 4: You're an actress. You sing, yes, you write, you produce,
[2:03] Speaker 4: you dance.
[2:05] Speaker 3: That's how you polled dancing on your IMDb.
[2:12] Speaker 5: Know it was so good when you drop that baby,
[2:14] Speaker 5: you don't have to teach us some things.
[2:15] Speaker 3: We love learning new dance moves.
[2:17] Speaker 2: Ok, we really do.
[2:18] Speaker 4: As soon as you dropped in our live shows when
[2:21] Speaker 4: we were touring, we incorporated dance. I don't know who
[2:24] Speaker 4: we think we are, but we are who we think
[2:26] Speaker 4: we are, and we did dance routines at the beginning
[2:28] Speaker 4: of each other.
[2:28] Speaker 2: You we don't. We're not dancers at all.
[2:30] Speaker 6: Everybody's a dancer, Yeah, everybody. You can find a beat.
[2:36] Speaker 6: If you can't, you know, find your little vibe vies.
[2:39] Speaker 3: Definitely was some of them.
[2:40] Speaker 4: Some people found beats and some of us did it.
[2:43] Speaker 4: But you know what, we did it.
[2:44] Speaker 3: It was fun.
[2:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, and you had a good time.
[2:46] Speaker 2: We did. That's a good time. How are you. How
[2:50] Speaker 2: have you been?
[2:51] Speaker 1: I've been very pregnant. Is the mondsel you described? Is
[2:56] Speaker 1: that what I'm drinking.
[2:56] Speaker 2: That's what you're drinking without the sparkling wine.
[2:59] Speaker 3: You just have soda in yours. I just have and
[3:02] Speaker 3: no spicy stuff.
[3:03] Speaker 5: And because I know sometimes people get the heart burns,
[3:05] Speaker 5: so I was like, I'm not even about to breathe.
[3:07] Speaker 1: That is the thing.
[3:08] Speaker 4: That is because your pregnancy been easy, it has been
[3:12] Speaker 4: a breeze.
[3:13] Speaker 6: I cannot lie. My friends say I'm fake pregnant, like
[3:16] Speaker 6: or no, I'm sorry, I'm paper pregnant, Like I'm not pregnant,
[3:20] Speaker 6: no stretch marks all, like I'm just sitting here a
[3:25] Speaker 6: huge In fact, I woke up maybe like four months
[3:28] Speaker 6: because we were filming at first, we did all our movies,
[3:30] Speaker 6: and I was pregnant the whole time, even as the Tima.
[3:34] Speaker 6: But after maybe about four and a half months, then
[3:38] Speaker 6: it's like, okay, it started coming and start.
[3:40] Speaker 2: You started feeling pregnant, and now we're here.
[3:42] Speaker 1: Now I feel pregnant.
[3:43] Speaker 2: Okay, okay, I feel pregnant, and this is your first baby,
[3:46] Speaker 2: it's my first favorite. Happy are you?
[3:48] Speaker 6: I'm very happy. I finally got rid of the delivery nerves.
[3:53] Speaker 6: That was the only thing I was kind of scared
[3:55] Speaker 6: of once I got really big. You know, you kind
[3:58] Speaker 6: of grow up when you have yours, like okay, i'm
[4:00] Speaker 6: gonna have my husband, I'm gonna have my kids. And
[4:02] Speaker 6: I've always been that girl. I want kids, I want this,
[4:04] Speaker 6: I want that. And then I got pregnant and I
[4:08] Speaker 6: was like, oh my god, okay, I'm pregnant.
[4:10] Speaker 1: We're here. I'm a woman now.
[4:12] Speaker 6: And then I started getting bigger and bigger, and I'm like, okay,
[4:15] Speaker 6: you gotta come out of here right, like I have
[4:18] Speaker 6: to push you out of here. And she's my small
[4:21] Speaker 6: she apparently she's hava.
[4:22] Speaker 1: She is good.
[4:23] Speaker 6: Last week she was about six and a half pounds,
[4:26] Speaker 6: so no, no, maybe about two and a half weeks
[4:29] Speaker 6: ago now, so maybe she's gonna be a good seven
[4:33] Speaker 6: of it.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Wow and then we done.
[4:35] Speaker 3: Yeah, not looking for no ten twelve pounds. Baby.
[4:40] Speaker 2: This is when I.
[4:41] Speaker 4: See pregnant people. Even though this is like you know
[4:42] Speaker 4: people are getting pregnant, I'm just like, wow, you're really
[4:45] Speaker 4: like your body is really making a human. It's crazy,
[4:51] Speaker 4: Like do you ever just sit in the tub or
[4:52] Speaker 4: like on like on the edge of the bed, like
[4:54] Speaker 4: looking at your like it's really a human in here.
[4:56] Speaker 1: I do it all the time.
[4:57] Speaker 6: Like as soon as I feel her, I literally just
[4:59] Speaker 6: pulled my shirt up, like let me see you moving
[5:02] Speaker 6: around like a little alien, like you can see her
[5:05] Speaker 6: little elbow or see her foot like pushing out the side.
[5:09] Speaker 1: Now it doesn't hurt as bad all the time anymore.
[5:14] Speaker 6: Initially, like those first kicks where when she had a
[5:17] Speaker 6: lot more room, oh they were devastating. But now maybe
[5:21] Speaker 6: because she's so tight she can't kick as hardy one
[5:27] Speaker 6: and she would come out she is to dance with
[5:29] Speaker 6: her mama.
[5:31] Speaker 2: I'm just like that is so cool.
[5:33] Speaker 4: Like I just think women are superheroes because of that
[5:36] Speaker 4: right there, Like you're literally brewing a child. And then
[5:40] Speaker 4: there's a book that I was reading that I'm reading.
[5:42] Speaker 4: I keep talking about it, and y'all, this ain't no ad.
[5:44] Speaker 4: It's called Boundaries. And there's a part in the book
[5:45] Speaker 4: where it talks about women and babies, and there I
[5:48] Speaker 4: can't remember the age range, but it talks about how
[5:51] Speaker 4: when the baby is born, and like whatever the age
[5:53] Speaker 4: range is, there's a moment where the child is so
[5:56] Speaker 4: connected with the mother.
[5:57] Speaker 2: Just that's just how it goes. But the child is.
[6:00] Speaker 4: So connected with the mom that it feels the child
[6:03] Speaker 4: thinks that it's you, like it still thinks that it's
[6:07] Speaker 4: in you, and it thinks that you.
[6:08] Speaker 2: Guys are one unit. I mean, it was. You should
[6:11] Speaker 2: research it.
[6:11] Speaker 4: It's a beautiful description of It's normally the baby phase
[6:14] Speaker 4: when the baby just wants to see it's called I
[6:16] Speaker 4: think they call a stranger danger phase, and the kid,
[6:18] Speaker 4: the child just doesn't want to go to anybody, and
[6:20] Speaker 4: you just got to I'm so sorry. It's a phase
[6:22] Speaker 4: because the child thinks that y'all are one, the mom
[6:24] Speaker 4: and the baby. I was like, this is a It
[6:26] Speaker 4: was just a beautiful reference that it talked about.
[6:28] Speaker 2: So that's just so dope.
[6:31] Speaker 6: I can say last night, and I don't even tell
[6:33] Speaker 6: my husband this, but I was laying down and neither
[6:37] Speaker 6: one of us could go to sleep. I took a
[6:38] Speaker 6: long nap. I went to sleep at like seven, woke
[6:41] Speaker 6: up about eleven thirty. So around twelve, we're up and
[6:46] Speaker 6: moving and I swear like, I know she's head down
[6:50] Speaker 6: and I can tell like where her butt and where
[6:52] Speaker 6: her feet are. But I swear like when I was
[6:54] Speaker 6: holding her here, like I can just feel her little
[6:56] Speaker 6: hand like this, and I'm just like moving her hand
[6:59] Speaker 6: and I'm like you, I'm like, okay, so we we
[7:02] Speaker 6: hold their hands.
[7:03] Speaker 1: I swear.
[7:08] Speaker 3: Movie what about you?
[7:10] Speaker 6: But I swear that was my first moment where I
[7:12] Speaker 6: felt like, okay, I feel like we are I mean,
[7:16] Speaker 6: obviously we're connected now, you know what I mean. But
[7:18] Speaker 6: I can feel you in the moment, like okay, I'm
[7:21] Speaker 6: touching you, you're touching me, and we just having conversations
[7:24] Speaker 6: like that was definitely last night.
[7:26] Speaker 5: What has been the most surprising part about your pregnancy
[7:30] Speaker 5: for you, maybe something you didn't expect to happen or
[7:33] Speaker 5: to feel even.
[7:37] Speaker 6: I would say the entire process, to be honest, Like,
[7:40] Speaker 6: you wake up one day and you know, you get
[7:43] Speaker 6: that positive pregnancy test, and then you slowly just see
[7:47] Speaker 6: yourself getting bigger and bigger and bigger, and I'm like, wow, okay,
[7:53] Speaker 6: you start seeing the small things. You start saying your no,
[7:55] Speaker 6: just start seeing your cheat, you.
[7:57] Speaker 3: Know what I mean.
[7:57] Speaker 6: You start saying now, like I said, my little fake
[8:02] Speaker 6: pregnancy that they say, and I have Now I see my.
[8:04] Speaker 1: Feet are a little bigger, Like.
[8:08] Speaker 6: I think, just seeing yourself change and your body actually
[8:12] Speaker 6: go through those things and you see a little person
[8:15] Speaker 6: moving around in you, that alone.
[8:17] Speaker 1: Is like, it's beautiful.
[8:19] Speaker 2: It's beautiful.
[8:20] Speaker 1: It really is, I think too.
[8:24] Speaker 6: Also, it started to make me realize and honestly just
[8:29] Speaker 6: have so much more respect for women that are single
[8:33] Speaker 6: because I have no idea how they're doing it.
[8:35] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[8:37] Speaker 1: I have no idea.
[8:38] Speaker 6: Now that I am pregnant, it's like, literally, life is
[8:41] Speaker 6: not fair, Like it's you against the world for real,
[8:44] Speaker 6: for real, because you are you are handicapped, you literally
[8:48] Speaker 6: cannot physically.
[8:49] Speaker 2: Do things, but you still have to go to work.
[8:52] Speaker 1: But you have to.
[8:52] Speaker 4: You still gotta you know, like take care of whatever
[8:55] Speaker 4: you gotta take care of and hold a whole human
[8:58] Speaker 4: in your belly.
[8:59] Speaker 2: This ingle moms that do it. I'm always like me too,
[9:01] Speaker 2: I be looking like.
[9:04] Speaker 4: Even even the men that leave them, I'm like, how
[9:07] Speaker 4: could you do that? Like, even if you don't want
[9:09] Speaker 4: to be together, make sure that you are, You're making
[9:13] Speaker 4: sure she's good. Because, bro, what I'm telling you right now,
[9:16] Speaker 4: you're crazy. On as a team, I'll be crazy really
[9:18] Speaker 4: like pregnant or I'm pulling up man, I get it.
[9:21] Speaker 1: I get it now.
[9:22] Speaker 6: I could see why women are so mad or certain
[9:26] Speaker 6: women are mad or you know, just feel without. And
[9:30] Speaker 6: I have friends that grew up as single parents or
[9:33] Speaker 6: you know, have been kicking and doing this thing on
[9:35] Speaker 6: their own, or women that have two three four kids
[9:38] Speaker 6: like being pregnant.
[9:40] Speaker 1: I do want to have more.
[9:41] Speaker 6: Children, one more, but trying to breast bless you trying
[9:48] Speaker 6: to breastfeed or take care of another infant while you're pregnant.
[9:54] Speaker 6: I can't get the hot sauce down from the cap.
[9:56] Speaker 6: Like seriously without it being a whole thing, like, but
[9:59] Speaker 6: it's women and that continuously have to do that. If
[10:02] Speaker 6: we just moved into a new house that we love,
[10:04] Speaker 6: but if I had to pick them boxes up by myself,
[10:08] Speaker 6: like no, or.
[10:09] Speaker 5: You have to spend so much more money because you
[10:11] Speaker 5: constantly have to hire somebody or pay somebody to do
[10:14] Speaker 5: those little.
[10:15] Speaker 6: Things because you're already single. You're already single, you already
[10:19] Speaker 6: working and doing the most to try to better your
[10:22] Speaker 6: life for you and your child to you know, just
[10:24] Speaker 6: make try to find a way to make things comfortable,
[10:28] Speaker 6: if that even exists. But I just feel like things
[10:31] Speaker 6: are so unfair, you know what I mean, just naturally,
[10:35] Speaker 6: you know.
[10:36] Speaker 4: And then you throw in the hormone imbalance, Yes, let's
[10:42] Speaker 4: you throw in the hormonal imbalance that, in my opinion,
[10:46] Speaker 4: is not talked about enough. And I appreciate when men
[10:48] Speaker 4: talk about it specifically because I've heard men be like, yeah,
[10:53] Speaker 4: I'm wrong with her, And it's like, do you have
[10:55] Speaker 4: you read a book about what happens to a woman's hormones?
[10:59] Speaker 4: It can you you can feel like you're schizophrenic, yeah,
[11:02] Speaker 4: and that there's nothing you can.
[11:03] Speaker 2: Do about it.
[11:05] Speaker 4: And there was one of my pastors in my church,
[11:07] Speaker 4: him and I have conversations like this all the time,
[11:09] Speaker 4: and he was like, I really knew I was a
[11:11] Speaker 4: man when I really did realize that women go through
[11:14] Speaker 4: these changes when they're pregnant and it's not just made up.
[11:17] Speaker 4: He's like, because a lot of us be thinking like,
[11:18] Speaker 4: you are right, and it's like when I really did
[11:20] Speaker 4: pick up a book and like really see, like, oh no,
[11:22] Speaker 4: there's a there's an imbalance going on.
[11:26] Speaker 3: I'm sorry'.
[11:28] Speaker 5: And it's crazy that you even have to pick up
[11:30] Speaker 5: a book to read it and you can't listen to
[11:32] Speaker 5: the woman that you created life. Yes, why do you think?
[11:35] Speaker 5: Why would you lie about being crazy?
[11:37] Speaker 3: Why would you.
[11:39] Speaker 4: Even naturally, when you're on your period, we be a
[11:41] Speaker 4: little crazy, and I sometimes I shocked myself.
[11:43] Speaker 2: I'm like, are you okay.
[11:45] Speaker 4: And it's like, oh, I'm about to st long period,
[11:47] Speaker 4: So I can't imagine the pregnancy part. When my sister
[11:49] Speaker 4: was pregnant, I will never forget. There were moments when
[11:53] Speaker 4: she would just calm me in the middle of the
[11:54] Speaker 4: night and be like, I'm reading a million vadilia.
[12:02] Speaker 2: It's a cartoon story, and she was like, yeah, it's
[12:04] Speaker 2: like a it's.
[12:06] Speaker 4: She just doesn't know, and she just it's okay.
[12:11] Speaker 2: I couldn't imagine being with somebody who's.
[12:13] Speaker 3: Like, stop crying.
[12:15] Speaker 2: She can't stop crying. Just let just let her.
[12:17] Speaker 1: Cry, Just let her cry.
[12:19] Speaker 2: May join in.
[12:22] Speaker 1: A million, you're gonna be all right.
[12:24] Speaker 4: And so I also command the men that get it
[12:26] Speaker 4: or try to get it, or they might be like,
[12:28] Speaker 4: she's crazy, but you still sit there.
[12:29] Speaker 2: You want some apple sauce, Like what you want me
[12:31] Speaker 2: to do?
[12:32] Speaker 1: Like they don't.
[12:33] Speaker 4: They don't like prolonged argument because I'm crazy right now. Baby,
[12:36] Speaker 4: we said for better or for worse, they need to
[12:38] Speaker 4: throw it through pregnancy and what comes with you.
[12:40] Speaker 6: Seriously, seriously everything that comes to pregnancy. Now, I can't
[12:43] Speaker 6: say I haven't had those crying moments, like I haven't.
[12:49] Speaker 3: Really are having a paper pregnancy.
[12:51] Speaker 1: I haven't. I was just literally just thinking I just.
[12:53] Speaker 5: Have physical changes in the few yeah, because you keep
[12:58] Speaker 5: calling yourself big, and I'm like you like this after
[13:00] Speaker 5: I eat.
[13:01] Speaker 3: So we're looking.
[13:04] Speaker 5: The same hell and it ain't no baby in here,
[13:08] Speaker 5: you know.
[13:08] Speaker 6: I mean, she's a good I think I gained like
[13:12] Speaker 6: thirty pounds.
[13:14] Speaker 1: They said, like, yeah, about thirty pounds. You look good.
[13:18] Speaker 4: Yeah, you look healthy. Because I have heard some hor
[13:20] Speaker 4: some people losing their edges. Yeah, a lot of my
[13:23] Speaker 4: losses was like my edges fell out.
[13:24] Speaker 2: I was like, why, I've.
[13:25] Speaker 3: Heard that that happened sometimes when you're pregnant with a
[13:28] Speaker 3: boy for somebody. I don't want one.
[13:30] Speaker 1: I don't know what I want to.
[13:31] Speaker 6: I want to boy next may gonna snatch them edges out,
[13:35] Speaker 6: Like I think the girl is supposed to give you hell.
[13:39] Speaker 5: I think the girl they say, they say the old
[13:42] Speaker 5: wives shell, they're.
[13:43] Speaker 3: Still your beauty. But I don't believe that.
[13:45] Speaker 5: I think that was a hating mama that said that
[13:47] Speaker 5: started that because she didn't really want no baby. Yeah,
[13:51] Speaker 5: but I think it's the problems after like growing up
[13:55] Speaker 5: that now the girls might give you hell, the attitudes
[13:59] Speaker 5: the I.
[14:00] Speaker 6: Feel like, I'm definitely gonna be the more disciplined.
[14:03] Speaker 2: You think so?
[14:04] Speaker 6: I think so too.
[14:05] Speaker 2: You're the one that's like I said, what I said,
[14:07] Speaker 2: he's going.
[14:07] Speaker 6: To run all over Anthony.
[14:09] Speaker 3: Oh well yeah, she probably is going to give you hell.
[14:13] Speaker 6: She's going to give him hell, and he's gonna say
[14:15] Speaker 6: yes to everything.
[14:17] Speaker 5: I have a question when y'all decided, okay, it's time
[14:21] Speaker 5: for us to have a baby. We're ready to expand
[14:24] Speaker 5: the family. How did that conversation go or was there one?
[14:28] Speaker 6: So first of all, that's actually not normal, And it's
[14:32] Speaker 6: crazy that you knew that we planned that because most babies, you.
[14:36] Speaker 1: Know, are oops.
[14:38] Speaker 6: And last year actually we had oops and I had
[14:41] Speaker 6: a miscarriage. I had a miss miscarriage, what they call
[14:46] Speaker 6: a miss miscarriage, a missed miscarriage.
[14:48] Speaker 3: You didn't really realize you were pregnant.
[14:51] Speaker 6: No, I knew I was pregnant. I've found out and
[14:55] Speaker 6: I was. I don't feel like I was getting bigger
[14:58] Speaker 6: or anything like that. But no, yes I did, Yes,
[15:01] Speaker 6: I did in the beginning anytime, because I'm used to
[15:04] Speaker 6: having a flast stomach, So as soon as it start moving,
[15:07] Speaker 6: I'm like, lords, your mama gonna find out.
[15:08] Speaker 1: She's gonna know.
[15:09] Speaker 6: I have to wear I bought all these loose, big
[15:12] Speaker 6: MAXI dresses because I'm like, she's gonna be able to
[15:15] Speaker 6: tell me when to keep it a secret.
[15:16] Speaker 1: For a second, wasn't big at all looking back at
[15:20] Speaker 1: it now, like.
[15:21] Speaker 6: I did not move, but I was going to get
[15:25] Speaker 6: the ultrasounds and everything was fine. And then we went
[15:27] Speaker 6: one day and I just remember the doctors like you
[15:31] Speaker 6: can always tell when something's going on, and I remember
[15:34] Speaker 6: looking at the screen.
[15:35] Speaker 1: Like okay, well I don't see nothing.
[15:38] Speaker 6: I never know what I'm looking at at ultrasounds. I
[15:40] Speaker 6: just now today earlier we went to the doctor and
[15:43] Speaker 6: I'm like, I can finally understand her face, like, okay,
[15:45] Speaker 6: I see I see the eyebrows and see that, you know,
[15:48] Speaker 6: because I always just looks like Gibby jabbers a shadow.
[15:54] Speaker 6: I can see the side profile and I can see,
[15:56] Speaker 6: you know, when they call it. But when they're like
[15:59] Speaker 6: he on her face, I can never see it until today.
[16:03] Speaker 6: But when I went, I'm like, I don't see anything.
[16:06] Speaker 6: So they called us back, and long story short, we
[16:09] Speaker 6: went back in and they said, yeah, so you had
[16:11] Speaker 6: a miscarriage. And I said okay, and then then I cried,
[16:16] Speaker 6: just just cried cry. I cried, and they said, well,
[16:20] Speaker 6: you have to now this is something I did want
[16:22] Speaker 6: to talk about. Oh Lord, I'm talking about my miscarriage.
[16:24] Speaker 6: One No, it's fine. I was gonna I wasn't gonna
[16:28] Speaker 6: talk about this. I wasn't gonna talk about this because
[16:31] Speaker 6: this is something I do feel like it's not talked
[16:34] Speaker 6: about enough.
[16:35] Speaker 1: So Lord, Okay, we here we go.
[16:37] Speaker 4: Come on, so Brooklyn bedding. I'll say this every time
[16:40] Speaker 4: we're Brooklyn.
[16:41] Speaker 2: At we're Brooklyn. I ain't nobody from Brooklyn. I'm not.
[16:45] Speaker 4: But let me tell you what Brooklyn, Brooklyn Betting has
[16:47] Speaker 4: done for me. Like a lot of times, people talk
[16:49] Speaker 4: about the soft life, and you talk about the soft
[16:51] Speaker 4: life in a very specific way.
[16:53] Speaker 2: It's like spa and looking pretty.
[16:55] Speaker 4: Brooklyn Betting is a version of soft life, because it
[16:59] Speaker 4: ain't no soft If you out here in the world
[17:00] Speaker 4: being soft and you go home to lay on a rough,
[17:02] Speaker 4: hard bed a bag of bricks, I look forward to
[17:07] Speaker 4: laying down in my bed, y'all. It's so serious with
[17:11] Speaker 4: the Brooklyn Betting mattress that I don't always make my
[17:14] Speaker 4: bed all the time anymore.
[17:15] Speaker 2: I like to leave a little piece up.
[17:17] Speaker 4: So when I get home for the night, I take
[17:19] Speaker 4: a shower, I get clean and want to just jump
[17:21] Speaker 4: on my mattress. I could just slide smooth because I
[17:23] Speaker 4: got the Brooklyn Betting mattress.
[17:25] Speaker 2: I have the sheets, I have the pillows. I'm not playing.
[17:30] Speaker 4: This is a lifestyle now. It has elevated my sleeping experience.
[17:35] Speaker 4: While I've been in this isolation mode. I have had
[17:37] Speaker 4: to spend a lot of time alone Brooklyn betting that
[17:40] Speaker 4: mattress specifically, and then pillows that have a cooling gel
[17:44] Speaker 4: in at the pillow. It's changing my life. I'm not
[17:47] Speaker 4: gonna pill What are you doing differently? Sleeping good and comfy?
[17:50] Speaker 2: What you doing?
[17:51] Speaker 3: I ordered that knee pillow you did?
[17:53] Speaker 2: I wanted to get in.
[17:55] Speaker 5: It helps because sometimes I like to sleep on my side.
[17:58] Speaker 5: When they when you take the quiz, if you go
[18:00] Speaker 5: to the website, they have a like a sleep quiz,
[18:02] Speaker 5: and so they will suggest which mattress will be best
[18:05] Speaker 5: for you. But depending on my mood. I'm a very
[18:07] Speaker 5: moody girl. Depending on my mood, I want to sleep
[18:10] Speaker 5: on my side. I want to sleep on my back.
[18:11] Speaker 5: I want to sleep on my stomach. I got the
[18:13] Speaker 5: knee pillow. But let me tell y'all something funny. Why
[18:15] Speaker 5: is Whitley trying to get me to upgrade her betting situation?
[18:19] Speaker 5: So why I come home one day after I left
[18:21] Speaker 5: her at home and I forgot to close my bedroom door.
[18:24] Speaker 5: I get back, this halfer is sitting sleeping, laying peacefully
[18:29] Speaker 5: on my pillow, and I take it all the sheets
[18:31] Speaker 5: so so it's just like the pillows. She can clearly
[18:34] Speaker 5: feel the cooling this her pillow. Now had to give
[18:37] Speaker 5: me another one, but I'm like, well, I understand, sweetie,
[18:40] Speaker 5: because you need to sleep good too.
[18:42] Speaker 4: I told you my nephew and my niece, they both
[18:44] Speaker 4: I have. I ordered four pillows. They each took one.
[18:47] Speaker 2: They're like. Zam was like, can I take this pillow?
[18:49] Speaker 4: And I was like take it where you want to
[18:51] Speaker 4: take it home to California with him?
[18:52] Speaker 2: And I let him.
[18:53] Speaker 4: I said go ahead, you could take it in this eighty
[18:55] Speaker 4: was like can I help? When I said take the
[18:57] Speaker 4: Brooklyn bit. Y'all's gift giving season.
[19:00] Speaker 2: This is the perfect time. Yeah.
[19:02] Speaker 4: If your man doesn't have like matching sheets or really
[19:05] Speaker 4: comfy pillows and you do love him, go ahead and
[19:07] Speaker 4: get him a little pillow top mattress cover. Get the
[19:09] Speaker 4: mattress if you haven't already ordered it, Get the pillows,
[19:12] Speaker 4: gets the frame. Be a grown up, because I think
[19:14] Speaker 4: what I want next is the the bed frame that
[19:18] Speaker 4: will elevate so I can like elevate these feet when
[19:22] Speaker 4: they're swelling, elevate my back if I'm watching TV or something,
[19:27] Speaker 4: or just like, uh, I don't always want to stack
[19:29] Speaker 4: up all my pillows, the sheets, all the things.
[19:31] Speaker 3: So if you've.
[19:32] Speaker 5: Already got your mattress, don't worry. There's more stuff that
[19:35] Speaker 5: you need to get. Yeah, they've got They've got all
[19:38] Speaker 5: the bedding, they've got the pillows, they have different things
[19:40] Speaker 5: that are going to support you. And what you'll realize
[19:43] Speaker 5: is not just us telling you this because they're sponsoring,
[19:47] Speaker 5: but really, when you have a good night's rest, it
[19:50] Speaker 5: makes the world of difference. I thought I was going blind,
[19:53] Speaker 5: and then I realized I hadn't been sleeping in my
[19:55] Speaker 5: own damn bed. I had to take my ass home
[19:57] Speaker 5: because I wasn't sleeping good. The pillows wasn't good over there.
[20:01] Speaker 5: I needed my good pillow back. Yeah, I don't have
[20:03] Speaker 5: a crook in my neck anymore. And I think after
[20:06] Speaker 5: two more nights of sleep, my nasal passages will be
[20:09] Speaker 5: back clear and I'll be back good. I thought my
[20:11] Speaker 5: allergies were gone. They're not gone. But it just it's
[20:14] Speaker 5: got me sleeping right and everything's working right in Brooklyn Betting.
[20:17] Speaker 4: When you get a good night's rest, you have a
[20:20] Speaker 4: good life. And so if you too, with like a

[20:54] Speaker 4: now let's get back to the show.
[20:56] Speaker 6: They sent me home and they said, you can decide
[20:59] Speaker 6: when you want to have your miscarriage, and I can
[21:01] Speaker 6: give you this pill, or we can, you know, make
[21:04] Speaker 6: you have a miscarriage because they call it a miss
[21:07] Speaker 6: miscarriage because I didn't bleed.
[21:09] Speaker 1: My body doesn't know.
[21:10] Speaker 6: I'm not pregnant yet, but they're like, there's no baby
[21:13] Speaker 6: in here, so it's it's done.
[21:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, So you can.
[21:16] Speaker 6: Kind of get the rest of that out of there
[21:18] Speaker 6: yourself and you can plan it or you know or not.
[21:22] Speaker 6: So I said, okay, now, mind you. They did not
[21:25] Speaker 6: warn me about what was going to happen when I
[21:28] Speaker 6: took this pill. They did not give me all the
[21:31] Speaker 6: side effects. She just said, you'll know when it happened. Yeah,
[21:37] Speaker 6: you'll know when it happened. You need to medical professionals.
[21:40] Speaker 5: Y'all need to tell people what happens, because that would
[21:43] Speaker 5: be such a shock if you didn't know so well.
[21:47] Speaker 6: I mean, just what you're gonna go through once you
[21:49] Speaker 6: take this pill. So, because I was already so overly emotional,
[21:54] Speaker 6: I told Anthony, go ahead, go to work, babe, like
[21:56] Speaker 6: I feel like we're gonna do this. I'm gonna I'm
[21:59] Speaker 6: gonna take this pill. I'm a chill, she said on
[22:01] Speaker 6: a note. When it happened, like, okay, cool. It was
[22:05] Speaker 6: about four or five hours. And my friends that have
[22:08] Speaker 6: gone through this that told me later and had a baby,
[22:11] Speaker 6: they said, baby girl, you just gave birth. I was
[22:14] Speaker 6: in that bathroom. I thought life was over. Like I
[22:18] Speaker 6: was on a towilether do you got to throw up?
[22:20] Speaker 6: You gotta use the bathroom. You have to I have
[22:22] Speaker 6: to feel, you can feel everything. The sack has to
[22:26] Speaker 6: come out, literally, the sack has to come out, and
[22:29] Speaker 6: you're you're inducing it, so you're making it happen. Your
[22:32] Speaker 6: body doesn't want it to happen, so you're forcing it
[22:36] Speaker 6: to happen, and like I said, it was like four
[22:39] Speaker 6: or five hours of just constant pain. I'm in and
[22:42] Speaker 6: out the shower. I'm like, oh my god, I cannot
[22:44] Speaker 6: do this. And then all of a sudden it just
[22:46] Speaker 6: came out. But the excruciating pain of that.
[22:49] Speaker 1: I wouldn't have.
[22:50] Speaker 6: Told Anthony to go to work, like I would not
[22:52] Speaker 6: have said, let me do this by myself, like I
[22:55] Speaker 6: would have said somebody should be here, because it was
[22:58] Speaker 6: so many times I'm like, am I gonna have to crawl?
[23:00] Speaker 6: Where is my phone? I need to call the ambulance
[23:02] Speaker 6: to come get me.
[23:02] Speaker 1: Like what is this?
[23:05] Speaker 4: Wow?
[23:05] Speaker 6: And then I asked some of my friends when I
[23:08] Speaker 6: was telling my friends that hey, girl, this is what
[23:11] Speaker 6: I'm going through. I just had a miscarriage, you know,
[23:12] Speaker 6: blah blah blah, this is what it felt like. And
[23:15] Speaker 6: then so many of them say, and I'm talking about
[23:18] Speaker 6: friends that are close to me that I know a
[23:20] Speaker 6: lot about you already, why how did I miss your miscarriage? Like,
[23:24] Speaker 6: but they were like, yeah, I went through the same thing,
[23:26] Speaker 6: and I know how you feel, you know, and blah
[23:28] Speaker 6: blah blah. And I'm like, well, why didn't you tell
[23:29] Speaker 6: anybody like why isn't anybody saying, hey, let's just spread
[23:34] Speaker 6: the word. If this is something that you're going through,
[23:36] Speaker 6: don't do that by yourself. We know about abortions, we
[23:39] Speaker 6: know about you know, actual miscarriages that happened. But I
[23:43] Speaker 6: just feel like so many things as women, sometimes maybe
[23:46] Speaker 6: we're ashamed to talk about them. Sometimes we're embarrassed to
[23:49] Speaker 6: talk about them, or you know, it's too painful to
[23:52] Speaker 6: talk about it, which I understood.
[23:54] Speaker 1: I understood that.
[23:55] Speaker 6: That's why initially I told them to go to work,
[23:58] Speaker 6: cause it's just too emotional. I don't want to talk
[23:59] Speaker 6: about about it, but I feel like we need to
[24:03] Speaker 6: because so many things could have happened in that bathroom.
[24:06] Speaker 2: I imagine who would have taken it and like went
[24:08] Speaker 2: to the store, yeah.
[24:12] Speaker 4: Traffic, Yes, now you in the car hunched over the steal, like.
[24:17] Speaker 6: They said, within like I don't remember slashing maybe like
[24:20] Speaker 6: a couple of hours or something like that. Like it'll happen,
[24:24] Speaker 6: but it's not like necessarily a time thing. And that's
[24:26] Speaker 6: why she just kept saying, you know, you'll know, and
[24:29] Speaker 6: yes I knew when it was happening.
[24:33] Speaker 1: Like well, when I went.
[24:35] Speaker 6: Back later, I told her what happened then and just said, yeah,
[24:41] Speaker 6: I knew, but I instantly felt myself also like kind
[24:45] Speaker 6: of shutting down and being quiet about it.
[24:46] Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. I don't know why
[24:50] Speaker 1: we do that as women.
[24:51] Speaker 6: Sometimes women that have you know, go through sexual things,
[24:55] Speaker 6: you know whatever, and it's like we kind of just
[24:57] Speaker 6: shut down and close close out once we go through
[25:01] Speaker 6: traumatic things or things that we just feel like are
[25:04] Speaker 6: just too emotional, like you know what, never mind, I
[25:06] Speaker 6: just don't want to talk about it. I had a
[25:07] Speaker 6: miscarriage and.
[25:08] Speaker 2: That was it.
[25:08] Speaker 4: Sometimes one of them, me and some of my friends
[25:10] Speaker 4: had a conversation like about like what we're talking about
[25:13] Speaker 4: not miscarriages, but like just things that have happened that
[25:16] Speaker 4: are traumatic in your life and you don't tell anybody.
[25:18] Speaker 4: And then when we all get together, we're kind of
[25:20] Speaker 4: like sharing stories. Yeah, and it's we were all like, dang,
[25:24] Speaker 4: I didn't tell anybody, like what this person did to
[25:27] Speaker 4: me or whatever happened, And a lot of it was
[25:30] Speaker 4: like sexual abuse, honestly, And we came to this conclusion
[25:34] Speaker 4: that we maybe do that because you're you start to
[25:37] Speaker 4: tell yourself it's not that serious, and if I say something,
[25:40] Speaker 4: people are gonna be like, well, why you ain't well,
[25:42] Speaker 4: how you ain't well, and then you just kind of
[25:44] Speaker 4: like don't want to deal with the app that where
[25:47] Speaker 4: you're like, dang, like maybe I shouldn't say so, maybe
[25:49] Speaker 4: it wasn't that serious.
[25:50] Speaker 2: No, it's that serious. Yeah, it is that serious.
[25:52] Speaker 4: And I've gotten to the point now where I try
[25:54] Speaker 4: to tell people it's that serious.
[25:55] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[25:56] Speaker 5: And I also think that like, depending on what it
[25:58] Speaker 5: is that you go through and the time it has
[26:01] Speaker 5: been since you've gone through whatever it is, it might
[26:04] Speaker 5: still just be too hurtful and you're still trying to
[26:07] Speaker 5: wrestle with those emotions. I know, whenever I've been through things,
[26:11] Speaker 5: there's certain things that I haven't shared with anyone and
[26:13] Speaker 5: I'm still not ready to because it's already like an
[26:17] Speaker 5: emotional thing. And then I don't want to put my
[26:21] Speaker 5: feelings in the hands of others, not knowing how those
[26:24] Speaker 5: reactions may be or what they may say, or just
[26:29] Speaker 5: being fearful of you know, when you tell somebody something
[26:31] Speaker 5: they throw it back in your face later, you just
[26:33] Speaker 5: never know. And it's like okay, until I can get
[26:35] Speaker 5: a better grip on my feelings and my emotions and.
[26:39] Speaker 3: Work through it with professional help.
[26:41] Speaker 5: I'm not ready to share that, and I think sometimes
[26:43] Speaker 5: it's just personal. But I do commend everybody any time
[26:47] Speaker 5: that they do feel comfortable enough to share, because I
[26:49] Speaker 5: do think it helps, and thank you for sharing that,
[26:52] Speaker 5: because you never know who that can help, that's watching
[26:55] Speaker 5: this or listening to this and can relate and they
[26:58] Speaker 5: don't have anybody to talk.
[26:59] Speaker 2: To about it.
[27:00] Speaker 4: Another version of that, which I think is interesting because
[27:02] Speaker 4: this is a common saying with everybody, where it's like like,
[27:04] Speaker 4: don't in a relationship, don't let nobody in your business,
[27:07] Speaker 4: like don't keep it between y'all, and that I get it.
[27:10] Speaker 2: I do get it.
[27:10] Speaker 4: But then there's a version of that where it's like
[27:12] Speaker 4: some people be this happened to me, where you're keeping
[27:14] Speaker 4: stuff in your business cause you're like, I don't want to.
[27:16] Speaker 2: And then you be like is this abuse? Like is
[27:19] Speaker 2: this stuff like that?
[27:20] Speaker 4: Even it's like and I'm not talking about somebody's busting
[27:22] Speaker 4: you upside your head the way somebody is speaking to you,
[27:24] Speaker 4: things that they're doing that are emotional abuse, and then
[27:27] Speaker 4: you kind of like start to tell, yeah, are you
[27:30] Speaker 4: in the house depressed and quiet talking about doing it?
[27:32] Speaker 4: Said don't tell don't let people in your business, because
[27:34] Speaker 4: that's not really relationship.
[27:35] Speaker 2: Nigga, you ruin me everybody else?
[27:38] Speaker 3: Is he here doing this to you?
[27:40] Speaker 4: And then you tell them they're like apps. That is
[27:42] Speaker 4: not how this is supposed to go.
[27:44] Speaker 2: Like that is normal?
[27:45] Speaker 5: Yeah?
[27:45] Speaker 2: Is this normal?
[27:46] Speaker 4: And sometimes you do need to ask your smart friends
[27:49] Speaker 4: and family that have like a grasp, a little bit
[27:52] Speaker 4: of a grasp on life. Not just the people that mature,
[27:56] Speaker 4: not people you notice want to be in your business.
[27:58] Speaker 4: But if somebody is treating you wrong and it feel wrong,
[28:00] Speaker 4: sometimes you gotta let somebody in your business.
[28:02] Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think too, like that's why I love
[28:06] Speaker 5: having girlfriends and I hate when I meet other women
[28:09] Speaker 5: who don't have girlfriends or sisters or just like other women,
[28:14] Speaker 5: because I still feel like, no matter how great your
[28:17] Speaker 5: partner might be, or your guy friends or whoever else,
[28:19] Speaker 5: there's nothing like talking to a woman because there's something
[28:22] Speaker 5: about some form of being able to relate, even if
[28:24] Speaker 5: they haven't been through the exact same situation.
[28:27] Speaker 3: It's just something where sometimes we just get each other.
[28:30] Speaker 5: And I love meeting other women, and I like making
[28:34] Speaker 5: new friends. You know, I think we both do like
[28:36] Speaker 5: making new friends and I hate when people are like, oh,
[28:38] Speaker 5: I don't want new friends, and I feel bad for
[28:39] Speaker 5: them because I feel like you probably went through something,
[28:42] Speaker 5: and I hope that you grow out of that, and
[28:43] Speaker 5: I hope that this is a phase because we need
[28:46] Speaker 5: each other and hopefully you have at least one person
[28:50] Speaker 5: that you can share something with, because you're right, like,
[28:53] Speaker 5: people go through things and they think it's normal, and
[28:56] Speaker 5: then you sitting there thinking you crazy right in.
[28:59] Speaker 2: The house, get mostly uppercutting and blessed aside.
[29:02] Speaker 3: Hey yeah, eyes all swollen and got out.
[29:10] Speaker 2: Skinny. Everybody's like, what's your workout? Playing niggas?
[29:12] Speaker 3: I'm depressed.
[29:15] Speaker 6: Like women naturally just say okay, I got it. I
[29:19] Speaker 6: got my big girl hat on, like naturally all the
[29:22] Speaker 6: time in a lot of situations. But to your point, no,
[29:25] Speaker 6: we don't need to do that. You need to talk
[29:27] Speaker 6: about that. Because also when I was talking to my
[29:30] Speaker 6: friends and they told me then that they've been through that,
[29:32] Speaker 6: I was like mad at them, like not for real
[29:37] Speaker 6: mad in the sense of did you not trust me
[29:40] Speaker 6: that you could tell me that, Like I know, I'm
[29:43] Speaker 6: a good friend. We talk about everything, like why would
[29:46] Speaker 6: you go through something like that and not say hey,
[29:49] Speaker 6: I need support here, I need help here, or I
[29:51] Speaker 6: need you know whatever. And it was only two people.
[29:55] Speaker 6: I'm not saying I had a bunch of friends, but
[29:58] Speaker 6: they both kind of said the same thing. And like,
[30:00] Speaker 6: I was just going through it and I just want
[30:01] Speaker 6: to handle it and be done with it. And I
[30:04] Speaker 6: couldn't necessarily argue that because as soon as it happened
[30:08] Speaker 6: to me until this day, like I wanted to make
[30:11] Speaker 6: this big post and I told Anthy this all the time, like, Okay,
[30:13] Speaker 6: I have to share this. I made a video because
[30:16] Speaker 6: it was it was traumatic in other ways. Also, we
[30:19] Speaker 6: had just told our parents, we did this whole I
[30:21] Speaker 6: just sent all these gifts to my best friends. We
[30:24] Speaker 6: had just told everybody that we're pregnant, and then now
[30:26] Speaker 6: I got to go back and tell you I'm not.
[30:29] Speaker 1: And like I said, that was a year ago.
[30:30] Speaker 6: Oh lord, I had you asked me a question, this
[30:33] Speaker 6: was not your question.
[30:33] Speaker 3: But yeah, I don't even know what I'm talking about.
[30:37] Speaker 1: Go ahead.
[30:38] Speaker 6: I made the video a year ago and it sat
[30:41] Speaker 6: there until we just naturally start talking about it. But
[30:44] Speaker 6: to your point, when you are talking it out with
[30:48] Speaker 6: people and you feel comfortable in a certain space, then
[30:52] Speaker 6: it just naturally comes out. I don't even trust people
[30:55] Speaker 6: that don't have friends. I'm gonna be honest with yours.
[30:59] Speaker 2: Man or woman.
[30:59] Speaker 5: It's like.
[31:01] Speaker 1: No friends at all? Why am I mad at you?
[31:04] Speaker 4: What you do?
[31:05] Speaker 2: Or why are you so closed off? Like what is
[31:09] Speaker 2: going on? I'm sorry, I gotta go.
[31:11] Speaker 3: It makes me really nosy.
[31:12] Speaker 5: I don't know if I don't trust them all the time.
[31:15] Speaker 5: But I'm gonna ask a few questions and then I'll
[31:16] Speaker 5: decide very quickly, this is weird and you weird or
[31:20] Speaker 5: something happened.
[31:21] Speaker 1: It usually comes out.
[31:23] Speaker 6: That's why you ain't got no friends. Yes, as you're
[31:26] Speaker 6: on the way out, Yeah, that's what you do. That's
[31:29] Speaker 6: how you be acting. Send off queen or you you know,
[31:32] Speaker 6: I don't know. You lie about a bunch of stuff.
[31:34] Speaker 2: It eventually it's just too much, like it's doing too
[31:38] Speaker 2: much and I have to go.
[31:39] Speaker 6: We've all been through high school, middle school, college, we
[31:42] Speaker 6: are grown grown.
[31:43] Speaker 1: Now where did all your friends go? Like you, where
[31:48] Speaker 1: did that go?
[31:50] Speaker 6: Unless something happened and like continuously happen. Most of my
[31:54] Speaker 6: friends are like from childhood to be super honest, and
[31:58] Speaker 6: I have a lot of friends, but like my best friends,
[32:01] Speaker 6: they are long term, it's like, Okay, we're still here.
[32:05] Speaker 5: Yeah, I have some new friends with my core group
[32:08] Speaker 5: of friends are from college or like one of my
[32:10] Speaker 5: really close friends, we've been friends since junior high, a
[32:13] Speaker 5: couple of them since junior high. Not really friends with
[32:15] Speaker 5: many other people from elementary because I left where I
[32:18] Speaker 5: was at. But yeah, and it's so interesting seeing the
[32:21] Speaker 5: friendships that end up lasting. And just sometimes when we're
[32:25] Speaker 5: together or just talking on the phone, we reflect on
[32:28] Speaker 5: how different our lives have been. And like I was
[32:30] Speaker 5: hanging out with a friend last weekend. I was in
[32:33] Speaker 5: Texas with one of those friends and she's pregnant right now,
[32:37] Speaker 5: and so I'm going back to Texas. She's having a
[32:40] Speaker 5: gender revealed party. And we were just talking about stuff
[32:42] Speaker 5: and I'm like, you, I just saw you not too
[32:45] Speaker 5: long ago, and now you have this big stomach, Like
[32:47] Speaker 5: what happened? She hugged me and it's like a beach
[32:49] Speaker 5: ball there. And then I was like, do you remember
[32:51] Speaker 5: all the times we would be at the club and
[32:52] Speaker 5: we'd have to carry you out of the club, Sandra,
[32:57] Speaker 5: we have to carry her. I know she's a mother
[32:58] Speaker 5: and this is her second baby, and I'm like, it's
[33:00] Speaker 5: just so crazy to see the evolution and like how
[33:03] Speaker 5: much more calm she is and how like level headed
[33:07] Speaker 5: she is with so many different things, and when we
[33:10] Speaker 5: talk and just sharing the different things that we learn
[33:12] Speaker 5: from different people and being able to share friends.
[33:14] Speaker 3: I think it's beautiful. I love.
[33:16] Speaker 4: And also to touch on ships, it's when you have
[33:19] Speaker 4: friends that you've been friends with for song and they've
[33:21] Speaker 4: seen you go through all the season for real, all
[33:23] Speaker 4: the times people be married for two years and be like,
[33:25] Speaker 4: he saw all my seas a bit, you know he didn't, Yeah,
[33:27] Speaker 4: I did exactly, you know what I mean. And it's
[33:30] Speaker 4: interesting because it's like you have those friendships and they
[33:33] Speaker 4: are like that you see each other through so many
[33:34] Speaker 4: different things. There's a love there that a man could
[33:38] Speaker 4: never feel like sometimes even just in dating and in relationships.
[33:40] Speaker 4: Sometimes when you compare it to like your friends, you'd
[33:42] Speaker 4: be like, people can't even last through like you had
[33:44] Speaker 4: I had a drunk night or you saw somebody like
[33:46] Speaker 4: I'm going through. I'm I'm literally depressed and you like,
[33:49] Speaker 4: well you just you are drink. I'm just like but
[33:53] Speaker 4: yr girls they're gonna be like, oh, like I get it.
[33:55] Speaker 4: Let me just sit with you I know that's what
[33:57] Speaker 4: you need right now.
[33:57] Speaker 5: It's really can give you space and come back like
[34:00] Speaker 5: because you got to work this out and I'm going
[34:02] Speaker 5: through my thing.
[34:02] Speaker 2: It's not that over.
[34:04] Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just going to give you space to protect
[34:06] Speaker 5: the friendship. I'm here if you need me.
[34:07] Speaker 4: But friendships really naturally be the real ones, because they
[34:11] Speaker 4: don't all be like sometimes you do be like all
[34:12] Speaker 4: right bye girl. Yeah, but the friend them real ones,
[34:16] Speaker 4: they do be like for better or for worse, for real.
[34:20] Speaker 4: I'll never get I choked my best friend and I
[34:22] Speaker 4: just knew he wasn't gonna be friends no more.
[34:23] Speaker 3: I remember that ship and it was bad.
[34:27] Speaker 2: It was bad.
[34:27] Speaker 4: It was jumped out, it was bad, and we still
[34:31] Speaker 4: rock with each other. It wasn't like you and it
[34:33] Speaker 4: had out that way, And you really know me, like.
[34:41] Speaker 2: Years ago, kinky, since we were in not junior high
[34:45] Speaker 2: high school.
[34:46] Speaker 3: Yeah, years ago, years ago.
[34:49] Speaker 4: I went on the show last week, shout out to Renee,
[34:52] Speaker 4: and she asked me this question has been asked me
[34:54] Speaker 4: a lot.
[34:54] Speaker 2: My therapist has asked me.
[34:55] Speaker 4: Several people have been like, what do you feel like
[34:57] Speaker 4: is a relationship that has taught you so much about
[35:00] Speaker 4: relationships and yourself. And I always say me and Kiki's relationship,
[35:03] Speaker 4: because when you start a business with a friend, it's
[35:06] Speaker 4: up and it's down. Sometimes it's in between. Sometimes y'all
[35:08] Speaker 4: both going through things. Sometimes you're not seeing eye to eye.
[35:11] Speaker 4: But one thing we've always done is we know the
[35:14] Speaker 4: bigger picture. We know each other.
[35:17] Speaker 2: She knows me.
[35:17] Speaker 4: I know it's never been like this. Sometimes it might
[35:20] Speaker 4: be like, but it's always like and but I still
[35:22] Speaker 4: love you.
[35:23] Speaker 5: Yeah, Like right now I can't talk to you, but
[35:26] Speaker 5: I still love if you need me, but I don't
[35:28] Speaker 5: want to hang out.
[35:28] Speaker 3: I don't want to do shit. We needed some space.
[35:31] Speaker 3: Even when we say that it's okay, yeah, and it's.
[35:33] Speaker 2: Just it's to me, that's relationship. It's not relationship.
[35:37] Speaker 4: Isn't real if it's like we've never had a challenging
[35:39] Speaker 4: moment and we just always y'all don't know each other.
[35:42] Speaker 2: Bro, I want to know you.
[35:44] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[35:45] Speaker 5: I like.
[35:46] Speaker 6: That is me and my friends to the tea when
[35:49] Speaker 6: I send so I have. I have a lot of
[35:52] Speaker 6: close friends, but my core group. One is from third grade,
[35:56] Speaker 6: one is from high school, one is from college, and
[35:58] Speaker 6: we are all like completely opposites.
[36:01] Speaker 1: And me and Anthony krack up about it all the time.
[36:04] Speaker 6: My college best friend Page, she's married, she's been with
[36:08] Speaker 6: her husband twenty years. Like she's good. She's saying she's
[36:11] Speaker 6: always gonna come and say something that makes sense. And
[36:13] Speaker 6: actually we made We all met at different times, well,
[36:17] Speaker 6: at least my child childhood best friend.
[36:20] Speaker 1: We all went to college together.
[36:21] Speaker 6: We all went to Clark, so her and Page we're
[36:24] Speaker 6: best our best friends also, and then we have Jasmine
[36:28] Speaker 6: women from high school. But everybody has their own little
[36:32] Speaker 6: vibe now choking.
[36:33] Speaker 2: I ain't choking them, but there was alcohol. I just
[36:36] Speaker 2: want to.
[36:38] Speaker 1: Choko and very very very seldom do we even have moments.
[36:42] Speaker 6: Me and Paige don't have moments because the Page is
[36:43] Speaker 6: saying and I like to think I'm not the same
[36:45] Speaker 6: with another group. Jasmine Jazz was gonna tweak every time,
[36:50] Speaker 6: She's always gonna tweet. But she is the life, she
[36:53] Speaker 6: is the love. She's one of the most beautiful spirits
[36:55] Speaker 6: on the plane. She's not a little liberal, she's a Capricorn,
[37:01] Speaker 6: but she's amazing.
[37:02] Speaker 1: But we just know what to expect.
[37:04] Speaker 6: To the point now you just laugh and if it
[37:06] Speaker 6: ever gets too much, it's the same thing, like, okay.
[37:08] Speaker 1: You know what, you really really tweet this time, I
[37:11] Speaker 1: need a minute, you know what I mean.
[37:12] Speaker 6: And then we'll always just come back, and it's usually
[37:14] Speaker 6: me that'll say like, Okay, well.
[37:16] Speaker 1: No, no, no, we gotta we gotta talk about this.
[37:18] Speaker 1: We gotta talk about this, don't never talk about.
[37:20] Speaker 6: Nothing me like a few days and it's like, Okay,
[37:24] Speaker 6: it's Jasmine, you know what I'm saying, Like we're coming back.
[37:26] Speaker 1: She just needed a moment for whatever.
[37:30] Speaker 6: But I totally understand the core group cause it's like
[37:33] Speaker 6: I would never be able to live life without any.
[37:36] Speaker 1: Of them, you know what I mean.
[37:37] Speaker 6: And we all bring different things to each other at
[37:40] Speaker 6: different moments. If you look at my Instagram and any
[37:43] Speaker 6: big moments, you're gonna see them there, you know. At
[37:46] Speaker 6: some point, I think it's so funny how this was
[37:48] Speaker 6: not even supposed to be talking.
[37:52] Speaker 4: I have another question though, and this is about friendships.
[37:54] Speaker 4: Have you found that it's everybody married in your friend groups?
[37:58] Speaker 1: No, just Paige.
[37:59] Speaker 2: Has there been like, like, do you think it's.
[38:03] Speaker 4: Hard when you do start getting into those serious relationships
[38:05] Speaker 4: you have found the love of your life and people
[38:07] Speaker 4: start expanding their lives, is it hard to do you
[38:09] Speaker 4: ever go through a phase with your friends where it's
[38:11] Speaker 4: like I feel the separation happening because right now I
[38:14] Speaker 4: have to focus on this, Okay, So.
[38:18] Speaker 5: Not with them.
[38:20] Speaker 6: Some of my other friends, my very very close friends, also,
[38:24] Speaker 6: they did not, they didn't like the separation at first
[38:27] Speaker 6: because I was also when.
[38:28] Speaker 1: I met Anthony, I was living in La.
[38:30] Speaker 2: Are you from La?
[38:31] Speaker 6: No, I'm from Chicago, Okay, okay, but I was in
[38:34] Speaker 6: LA for like thirteen years, and our relationship was very abrupt,
[38:38] Speaker 6: like came out here two times and then just never
[38:43] Speaker 6: went back.
[38:43] Speaker 1: I came in February, in May was my Latin.
[38:47] Speaker 6: No, maybe April was my last time coming out here
[38:49] Speaker 6: and going back to LA, and then I just stayed.
[38:52] Speaker 4: It was in love.
[38:53] Speaker 6: And my friends initially that were in La, we're not
[38:57] Speaker 6: rocking with that. It's like, okay, where's my friend?
[39:01] Speaker 1: Can't find you?
[39:02] Speaker 6: Oh you're so busy now because you gotta talk to Anthony.
[39:04] Speaker 6: Oh well I'm down. You can't answer the phone now,
[39:08] Speaker 6: or you know, I don't want to talk to you,
[39:10] Speaker 6: and Anthony like, I just want to talk to you,
[39:12] Speaker 6: and I was the thing, and I did. I understood it,
[39:15] Speaker 6: you know what I mean, because I do know that
[39:18] Speaker 6: when you're used to being in a certain space with
[39:20] Speaker 6: your friends, like how you were saying, like sometimes you
[39:23] Speaker 6: just need your friend, especially if these are your single friends.
[39:27] Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
[39:27] Speaker 5: I just want to talk to you all right, y'all,
[39:29] Speaker 5: we have to put you onto something because you know,
[39:32] Speaker 5: we're all about grown woman wellness over here, and lately
[39:36] Speaker 5: I've upgraded my routine. I'm talking to skincare candles and
[39:40] Speaker 5: even I'm trying meditation.
[39:42] Speaker 3: It's not working out so great.
[39:43] Speaker 5: But what is working out great that I would like
[39:45] Speaker 5: to celebrate is my celebrate tour.
[39:48] Speaker 3: Okay, yes, it's the celebrun y'all.
[39:51] Speaker 4: And listen before y'all try to get cue, this is
[39:54] Speaker 4: actually a sexual health and wellness device.
[39:58] Speaker 2: It's not just a toy.
[40:00] Speaker 4: It's literally made for women who maybe have a little
[40:03] Speaker 4: trouble reaching the finish line, you know, like it's way
[40:06] Speaker 4: more common than people might think.
[40:08] Speaker 3: And the reason it helps is because it actually doesn't vibrate.
[40:11] Speaker 2: It oscillates.
[40:12] Speaker 5: Oh that means instead of it like buzzing or humming
[40:16] Speaker 5: and making that annoying sound, it's gonna move side to
[40:19] Speaker 5: side over one hundred times per second, So that thing
[40:21] Speaker 5: is getting busy, okay, and that motion that's what the
[40:24] Speaker 5: body responds to naturally. So there's engineers and scientists who
[40:28] Speaker 5: did all of the work so you don't have to
[40:30] Speaker 5: and you can just enjoy the pleasure. That's why it
[40:32] Speaker 5: is faster, it's deeper and more effective at triggering a real,
[40:36] Speaker 5: satisfying climax. So if you have trouble climaxing, you might
[40:41] Speaker 5: not with the celebrator.
[40:43] Speaker 2: Listen, call me usher because I'm climaxing.
[40:46] Speaker 4: It's wild because when you look at it, when you
[40:49] Speaker 4: look at the celebrator, it's super unassuming. It looks like
[40:52] Speaker 4: a little wellness gadget. But baby, the results and it's
[40:58] Speaker 4: engineered by my literal engineer using sound wave experiments. Y'all,
[41:03] Speaker 4: this sounds like science, So the motion isn't just random,
[41:06] Speaker 4: it's literally science designed to work with your body.
[41:10] Speaker 5: They put a lot of thought into this, and I
[41:12] Speaker 5: can tell each and every time I use it because
[41:15] Speaker 5: that hundred times the second of oscillation, it feels so good.
[41:18] Speaker 5: I don't know how many times it's gonna go for
[41:21] Speaker 5: me because I don't even last a minute. And the
[41:24] Speaker 5: material itself, in case you were wondering, it's premium body
[41:27] Speaker 5: safe silicon.
[41:29] Speaker 3: It's soft to the touch.
[41:30] Speaker 5: It looks like an electric toothbrush, so if you leave
[41:32] Speaker 5: it out, nobody knows. It's smooth, it's hyper hypo allergenic.
[41:37] Speaker 5: It's non porous, and that also makes it super easy
[41:41] Speaker 5: to clean. It's fully waterproof. It's whisper quiet, and it's
[41:45] Speaker 5: under fifty decibels, which is like if I put something
[41:48] Speaker 5: on the episode under fifty decibels, you couldn't hear it.
[41:50] Speaker 5: So you can discreetly even leave it out. If you
[41:53] Speaker 5: live with people, if you got kids or whatever, they
[41:55] Speaker 5: won't know.
[41:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, babe, they sure won't know.
[41:57] Speaker 4: And if somebody's downstairs or outside your door, they won't
[42:00] Speaker 4: hear you because it's quiet.
[42:01] Speaker 2: And that's what I like. It's polite, but it's powerful.
[42:05] Speaker 4: You know. The battery life, y'all. I still ain't charged it.
[42:07] Speaker 4: Since I took it out the box, it still ain't
[42:09] Speaker 4: been charged. And I am this is not this is
[42:11] Speaker 4: for real, like I have not. I'm always like now,
[42:13] Speaker 4: I'll just be using it to see if it's gonna die.
[42:15] Speaker 4: It ain't died yet, so it has up.
[42:16] Speaker 2: To three hours one on one charge. That's a lot
[42:20] Speaker 2: of me time.
[42:21] Speaker 3: That's why you have to charge it because you only
[42:23] Speaker 3: gonna be able to use it for a few seconds.
[42:24] Speaker 3: I mean, this is efficient.
[42:25] Speaker 5: If you're having a rough day, try it out and
[42:28] Speaker 5: you can do it in like thirty seconds or less.
[42:30] Speaker 3: Probably.
[42:32] Speaker 5: It also ships totally discreet. It's a plane box, no
[42:35] Speaker 5: weird labels. Even the billing statement is pretty neutral, so
[42:38] Speaker 5: your business stays your business. And they have a facility
[42:42] Speaker 5: in Georgia, so if you're in Georgia, you might even
[42:44] Speaker 5: get it next day, depending on the time of day
[42:46] Speaker 5: you order.
[42:47] Speaker 2: You need to reach that climax.
[42:49] Speaker 5: Okay, and right now, Third Planet Products dot Com is
[42:52] Speaker 5: giving our listeners twenty percent off and free shipping with
[42:57] Speaker 5: the code cocktails twenty. That's cockt al ees to zero
[43:02] Speaker 5: co cocktails twenty co cocktails. The league's in the episode
[43:06] Speaker 5: description and is.
[43:07] Speaker 3: On the screen. And now we'll get back to the show.
[43:10] Speaker 6: I don't want to talk to you and your man
[43:12] Speaker 6: every time, and I was constantly hearing that now, Jasmine,
[43:16] Speaker 6: and at least they're still in Chicago, so we don't
[43:19] Speaker 6: communicate on the phone as much. But that'sould be a
[43:23] Speaker 6: real big thing. But I know they might have a
[43:27] Speaker 6: little bit, you know, more than people that are used
[43:29] Speaker 6: to me being with them twenty four to seven, it's like, Okay,
[43:34] Speaker 6: how are we doing this? But then eventually I'm like,
[43:37] Speaker 6: y'all just get to know if y'all will love him.
[43:38] Speaker 5: So before they said something to you, did you feel
[43:44] Speaker 5: that happening? Did?
[43:45] Speaker 3: Okay?
[43:46] Speaker 1: Because my mind is just over there. I'm in bliss.
[43:49] Speaker 6: I don't know what y'all talking about. Like actually I'm serious,
[43:53] Speaker 6: Like I was literally like, what are you talking about?
[43:54] Speaker 6: Like when you call, I'm calling. But it's because I
[43:57] Speaker 6: didn't see him as an interruption of anything, Like I
[44:00] Speaker 6: didn't see him as you're taking time away from me
[44:04] Speaker 6: and my friends. Why we can't just all be together? Right,
[44:06] Speaker 6: That's how I saw it. But as my friends, they're like, no,
[44:11] Speaker 6: we want time separated. We want to just kick it
[44:14] Speaker 6: with Lindsey, and I'm sure I want.
[44:16] Speaker 1: They see this podcast, they.
[44:16] Speaker 6: Probably still feel like I still want my friends with friendships.
[44:21] Speaker 2: It's really interesting.
[44:22] Speaker 4: I don't know the smooth way to do it because
[44:24] Speaker 4: it's like y'all were grown like even though we did
[44:26] Speaker 4: say with your friends for better and for worse thinking thing,
[44:28] Speaker 4: but like you not my man.
[44:30] Speaker 2: I got to meet a man and love him and
[44:31] Speaker 2: get to know him.
[44:32] Speaker 4: I'm just it's gonna be this phase is gonna be
[44:34] Speaker 4: for a minute, and then I don't know the way
[44:36] Speaker 4: to do it unless y'all went to I think Sandra
[44:39] Speaker 4: and Blank Door. Really they've been together so long that
[44:41] Speaker 4: they're like a unit. So it's like you already know.
[44:43] Speaker 4: But when you do meet somebody new, when they come
[44:45] Speaker 4: in and your friends they're like, well, you're always with him,
[44:47] Speaker 4: and it's like, but we're always together.
[44:49] Speaker 5: To know what else I like about him, he'll be
[44:52] Speaker 5: there and I forget so because he's quiet, and I
[44:55] Speaker 5: feel like if I ever did some dirt, I would
[44:58] Speaker 5: tell him before I talked, because he does not tell shit,
[45:02] Speaker 5: because that is the most secret keeping. Not in a
[45:06] Speaker 5: negative way, but he would. You can trust him to
[45:09] Speaker 5: like not say shit, And I'm like, how do you
[45:11] Speaker 5: do that? You don't want to tell your mama, the
[45:13] Speaker 5: dog nobody. Oh, you're good. I think eventually, like Alce.
[45:18] Speaker 6: They got to meet him and really know him like
[45:21] Speaker 6: I knew him. Then it became much easier because now
[45:24] Speaker 6: it's like, okay, now now we all can kick it. Actually,
[45:27] Speaker 6: if I'm sleepy, I remember the firs. No this time
[45:31] Speaker 6: when I was pregnant. He knew I was pregnant because
[45:33] Speaker 6: I was telling him and Jazz.
[45:36] Speaker 1: Like, you know what, y'all just go kick it.
[45:37] Speaker 6: Y'all have some broinsist time, I'm gonna go to bed,
[45:39] Speaker 6: and it's like ten o'clock, which is not me at all.
[45:43] Speaker 1: But now they have their own relations.
[45:47] Speaker 6: It's not me just saying a name like oh, I
[45:49] Speaker 6: can't talk to you because I'm with Anthony, Oh I
[45:51] Speaker 6: can't talk to you because I'm with or they call
[45:53] Speaker 6: him apple Way, I can't talk to you because I'm
[45:55] Speaker 6: out running around, or I'm just too busy for you.
[45:59] Speaker 6: And they just want their friends right, you know. But
[46:03] Speaker 6: like I said, I'm sure they still feel the same way.
[46:05] Speaker 6: But now that I've heard it so much, I try
[46:07] Speaker 6: to Yeah, no, they said it.
[46:15] Speaker 3: Somebody it will stew on something. They wait and blow
[46:18] Speaker 3: up about it. It's just like, well I didn't realize
[46:21] Speaker 3: that's how.
[46:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, y'all better read the boundaries. But talked about that.
[46:24] Speaker 4: It's like it's your fault if you brew in on
[46:26] Speaker 4: something that don't say nothing, and you want the other
[46:28] Speaker 4: person to acknowledge it, say it's not their responsibility.
[46:30] Speaker 2: You feel a way say it Yeah.
[46:34] Speaker 5: I also think sometimes whenever I'm talking to my friends,
[46:39] Speaker 5: I notice a difference and my friends that are here
[46:41] Speaker 5: and local and the far away friends. It's so much
[46:44] Speaker 5: easier to manage the far away friends because it is
[46:47] Speaker 5: just phone calls, or it's easier to like text, and
[46:50] Speaker 5: we have our group chat, so we might miss some
[46:52] Speaker 5: Sometimes people get mad, but I'm just like, okay, if
[46:55] Speaker 5: there is a major update, and y'all not just dilly
[46:58] Speaker 5: dallion in the chat tag me, because some days I'm
[47:02] Speaker 5: not looking at it. It's overwhelming. Y'all have sent two
[47:04] Speaker 5: hundred messages. Did anybody work today? I'm looking at the phone.
[47:09] Speaker 5: I want to see what's going on. I'm gonna need
[47:11] Speaker 5: a summary, which I love new Apple update by the way,
[47:14] Speaker 5: because it will summarize.
[47:15] Speaker 2: Your text update.
[47:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll summarize it.
[47:19] Speaker 5: It'll summarize your text like it'll be like, Okay, well, basically,
[47:22] Speaker 5: this is what's going on. This person is going through
[47:24] Speaker 5: a crisis, this person thinks they're pregnant, this person wants
[47:27] Speaker 5: to know if we want to do a group trip
[47:28] Speaker 5: next year. Like, it will really summarize it pretty well. Yeah,
[47:31] Speaker 5: And you can just see a group chat the groups
[47:34] Speaker 5: or any of your texts. It'll just have like a
[47:36] Speaker 5: little summary. I wish I had some, but I put
[47:38] Speaker 5: my phone on do not disturbed, so it's not going
[47:40] Speaker 5: to do it. But yeah, it'll summarize the chat for
[47:43] Speaker 5: you or your messages or even like your voicemails and
[47:46] Speaker 5: you see the little banner come across and it'll summarize
[47:49] Speaker 5: the voicemail and you can read the voicemail or listen
[47:52] Speaker 5: to it.
[47:52] Speaker 1: Technology is getting crazier.
[47:54] Speaker 3: Apple, turn that off.
[47:58] Speaker 5: I want it on because because if I got two
[48:01] Speaker 5: hundred messages every two hours and it's just y'all three yeah, and.
[48:05] Speaker 3: Y'all are talking about the Housewives? Was there two hundred? Stop?
[48:09] Speaker 2: I like you, I like to look and be going
[48:11] Speaker 2: through it.
[48:12] Speaker 6: Really sometimes, but sometimes I gotta clock inn as soon
[48:16] Speaker 6: as I get there. I'm not going back to two hundred.
[48:18] Speaker 6: As soon as I get there, I'll start responding from there.
[48:21] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm saying, but I do like to see, like, oh,
[48:23] Speaker 4: y'all you're communicating going back to the friend thing.
[48:26] Speaker 2: Also, like I was gonna say, it's interesting because now
[48:29] Speaker 2: at my.
[48:30] Speaker 4: Big age, I have gotten to the point now with
[48:32] Speaker 4: my friends, my oh, the ones that are that I'm
[48:35] Speaker 4: really close with they get it. But some of my
[48:37] Speaker 4: newer friends who I met later in life, I have
[48:40] Speaker 4: gotten very clear on being like, hey, listen, I don't
[48:43] Speaker 4: want to go to everything, and I don't also want
[48:46] Speaker 4: it to be a fallout about whatever it is that
[48:50] Speaker 4: I am not. I'm not just because I'm not going
[48:52] Speaker 4: to all the dinners. That does not mean I'm mad
[48:53] Speaker 4: at somebody or I'm in love and about to replace
[48:55] Speaker 4: y'all with a nigga.
[48:56] Speaker 2: That is not what's happening.
[48:57] Speaker 4: If I don't If you say I want to come
[48:59] Speaker 4: over and I don't want you to come over, that
[49:01] Speaker 4: doesn't mean I don't love you. Like I've had to
[49:02] Speaker 4: get very clear because there are some friendships that make
[49:06] Speaker 4: you really start getting stressed, like, bro, I'm fighting for
[49:09] Speaker 4: my life, but I don't want nobody around. I'm really
[49:13] Speaker 4: close with my sister, and sometimes I have to remember, like, oh,
[49:16] Speaker 4: you have friends, but I'm so close with my sister
[49:18] Speaker 4: and she fulfills a part of my spirit that sometimes
[49:23] Speaker 4: I'd be like, oh, okay, I see with the friends
[49:25] Speaker 4: we talking about, but also like y'all got to chill. Also,
[49:28] Speaker 4: I'm not mad. This don't need to be a fallout.
[49:31] Speaker 3: Every time. I don't need to give you a reason
[49:34] Speaker 3: we are not in school.
[49:35] Speaker 4: We're not just because I'm not coming to the birthday dinner.
[49:37] Speaker 4: That's that is not a reflection of our friendship. Stop
[49:39] Speaker 4: turn Instagram off, pray. I'm trying to get close to
[49:43] Speaker 4: God real quick. And if you don't understand it, I
[49:45] Speaker 4: don't really know. Art.
[49:46] Speaker 2: That's what we need to be looking at.
[49:49] Speaker 4: Like you don't understand that somebody's pregnant, they're having a
[49:51] Speaker 4: baby and they're trying to focus on being a mom,
[49:53] Speaker 4: or they got married and you getting mad talking about
[49:55] Speaker 4: my man.
[49:55] Speaker 2: Man, this is a family.
[49:56] Speaker 4: Now, Yes you are still my friend, but like we
[49:58] Speaker 4: got other things that were doing and I just need
[50:00] Speaker 4: to focus on this right now.
[50:02] Speaker 2: Relax e for.
[50:03] Speaker 5: Anybody who might be going through like those kind of
[50:06] Speaker 5: friend things. One thing I talked about was Sandra. I
[50:09] Speaker 5: was nervous that when she got married, well first when
[50:12] Speaker 5: she got engaged, and then she got married.
[50:14] Speaker 3: I was like, I really hope I don't lose my friends.
[50:16] Speaker 5: She never did anything to make me feel that way,
[50:19] Speaker 5: but I had a little fear of you know how
[50:21] Speaker 5: people act like married people can't have single friends. And
[50:26] Speaker 5: then it's like, Okay, we're already doing the show. I
[50:29] Speaker 5: know that we're we have a reputation even though this
[50:31] Speaker 5: is a show, this is an hour of the week,
[50:34] Speaker 5: not my whole life. But it's like, is he not
[50:39] Speaker 5: going to want her to be around? Is she not
[50:41] Speaker 5: gonna want to be around in all those things? And
[50:43] Speaker 5: I made sure that I wasn't always just inviting her
[50:46] Speaker 5: to stuff that we used to do, And especially when
[50:50] Speaker 5: she had her baby, I was like, I am in
[50:52] Speaker 5: town because she doesn't live here.
[50:53] Speaker 3: I'm in town. Can I come over?
[50:55] Speaker 5: Do you need me to bring you something? You want
[50:57] Speaker 5: me to go get you some lunch? We can just
[50:58] Speaker 5: sit at the house. And she was telling me that
[51:01] Speaker 5: one of our mutual friends. Neither of us are friends
[51:04] Speaker 5: with that friend anymore. She would never do that kind
[51:07] Speaker 5: of thing, and she lived in town, and it was
[51:08] Speaker 5: just like only inviting her over to her place or
[51:11] Speaker 5: only inviting her out to events and functions. And she's like,
[51:15] Speaker 5: my life has changed, and I'm trying to adjust. But
[51:18] Speaker 5: I don't always want to go out to a party.
[51:20] Speaker 5: I don't always want to do late night stuff. I
[51:22] Speaker 5: wanted to have a child.
[51:23] Speaker 1: I have my child.
[51:24] Speaker 5: I want to spend time with her, and I want
[51:26] Speaker 5: her to know you too. Can we do something during
[51:29] Speaker 5: the day that is friendly to her. She's like a
[51:31] Speaker 5: well behaved kid because I'm like, we can all go
[51:33] Speaker 5: to brunch.
[51:34] Speaker 3: I don't need to be at the club brunch. We
[51:36] Speaker 3: can go to regular brunch.
[51:37] Speaker 5: La Marco gonna have her mocktail and eat her meal,
[51:40] Speaker 5: and she engages in conversations. She's not a tablet baby.
[51:43] Speaker 5: And we all sit there and we chat and she
[51:45] Speaker 5: was when we were talking one day recently, she was like,
[51:48] Speaker 5: I just really appreciate that about you. So sometimes if
[51:51] Speaker 5: you are the single person that's not going through life
[51:54] Speaker 5: changes and you got these friends and you're upset, check
[51:56] Speaker 5: yourself and see what are you doing to like kind
[51:59] Speaker 5: of eat ease the way to keep the friendship going,
[52:02] Speaker 5: or how are you supporting your friend because you're not
[52:05] Speaker 5: going through no changes. They are right, and they might
[52:07] Speaker 5: want to ask something of you and they think that
[52:09] Speaker 5: you don't want to and you might be over to it.
[52:11] Speaker 4: So if you up to just do it, everybody has
[52:13] Speaker 4: to make some adjustments. And just like in a relationship,
[52:16] Speaker 4: sometimes you're giving more and then sometimes the other person
[52:20] Speaker 4: is giving more and it's it's like.
[52:21] Speaker 2: That with the friendships. Hey, we just got to learn
[52:23] Speaker 2: how to adjust.
[52:24] Speaker 4: Like if everything is a fallout, it's a problem with you,
[52:28] Speaker 4: and you need to pick up a book.
[52:30] Speaker 2: I say this every week. Y'all need to pick up
[52:32] Speaker 2: some books and read them. You need to turn a
[52:34] Speaker 2: little baby off. A love little baby, but you need to.
[52:36] Speaker 4: Turn them off for a minute and stop listening to
[52:38] Speaker 4: what the people are saying, because they'll have you alone
[52:41] Speaker 4: and just sitting on the floor with a pillow.
[52:44] Speaker 6: I'm glad you said that. That was actually really deep
[52:47] Speaker 6: and I didn't think about that. But I am blessed
[52:50] Speaker 6: to have friends that kind of moved with my life changes,
[52:55] Speaker 6: you know what I mean. I don't have friends that
[52:57] Speaker 6: are at least not my close friends, that are judging
[53:00] Speaker 6: into or saying, hey, also, you want to get married now,
[53:03] Speaker 6: I'll so you want to be engaged?
[53:04] Speaker 1: So now you want to have a baby?
[53:05] Speaker 6: Okay, fifty eight exactly, Like when do you want me
[53:09] Speaker 6: to do this? Like I waited all this time, like
[53:11] Speaker 6: when do you want this to happen? But I think
[53:15] Speaker 6: that is one of the things I can say that
[53:18] Speaker 6: I do appreciate and I didn't pay attention to that
[53:21] Speaker 6: at all. But once I do have a baby, I
[53:24] Speaker 6: don't want everybody in my ears screaming about okay, so
[53:27] Speaker 6: you ready to go to.
[53:28] Speaker 3: The club now, or you know you can't watch the
[53:30] Speaker 3: baby ye.
[53:33] Speaker 2: In your throat?
[53:34] Speaker 6: I come over, and I don't want to feel bad
[53:36] Speaker 6: about it, Like I don't want to feel bad to say, hey,
[53:39] Speaker 6: I want to be with my child, and or hey,
[53:42] Speaker 6: I just want to be with my man and my
[53:43] Speaker 6: child right now, like that's it, or like you said,
[53:46] Speaker 6: I don't want I have to stay on Instagram too,
[53:48] Speaker 6: because I kept constantly getting to get invited to events,
[53:52] Speaker 6: and I was also this whole pregnancy outside meaning like
[53:56] Speaker 6: working or you know, premieres or this, that and the
[53:59] Speaker 6: third because I do have to work. But I had
[54:02] Speaker 6: to ask, hey, respectfully, stop inviting me to stuff. Yeah,
[54:06] Speaker 6: I'm nine months pregnant, Like I do not want to
[54:09] Speaker 6: drop this baby on your floor. But I don't want
[54:11] Speaker 6: to feel bad and I don't want you to feel
[54:12] Speaker 6: like I don't support you or that I don't love you.
[54:15] Speaker 6: So that was something that I had to check myself with,
[54:18] Speaker 6: like don't feel bad for saying you need a little
[54:20] Speaker 6: space right now, or hey, I physically just cannot do
[54:23] Speaker 6: that right now, or I just don't want to do
[54:25] Speaker 6: that right now.
[54:26] Speaker 1: I just want to chill, you know.
[54:30] Speaker 6: Yeah, I just remembered your question from earlier.
[54:32] Speaker 4: What was it?
[54:33] Speaker 6: Because I don't went on a totally while as you said,
[54:39] Speaker 6: how did How was the experience when we decided.
[54:44] Speaker 3: When y'all talked about did y'all talk about it?
[54:46] Speaker 1: We did?
[54:47] Speaker 6: Okay, so we planned it because Lord, we planned I
[54:54] Speaker 6: love y'all.
[54:54] Speaker 1: We can definitely kick you out the time.
[54:58] Speaker 6: We planned it because of the carriage. So okay, it
[55:02] Speaker 6: was okay, Well, let's do it when we're ready.
[55:06] Speaker 4: Now.
[55:06] Speaker 6: I do feel like spiritually, like all of that happened
[55:09] Speaker 6: for a reason. We weren't mentally in a different space.
[55:12] Speaker 6: Like our relationship happened very very fast.
[55:15] Speaker 1: It was beautiful.
[55:16] Speaker 6: But we learned a lot and did a lot very
[55:18] Speaker 6: very quickly, and we took on a lot very very
[55:20] Speaker 6: quickly once that baby came. Oh yeah, we you know,
[55:24] Speaker 6: we we switched up a lot of things within our
[55:26] Speaker 6: life and we wanted to stay on that path. And
[55:28] Speaker 6: I feel like that happened absolutely for a reason. We
[55:32] Speaker 6: checked each other really quick, but we also knew, hey,
[55:37] Speaker 6: this could be so much better if we planned this,
[55:39] Speaker 6: like if we knew.
[55:42] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[55:42] Speaker 6: We all kind of got that app, that that glow
[55:45] Speaker 6: app that's weopulating and all of that. So I had
[55:48] Speaker 6: the app and we made the decision like okay, well
[55:52] Speaker 6: how about say around March or so, like, let let's
[55:55] Speaker 6: just try it. And I said, okay, so I'm gonna
[55:58] Speaker 6: just turn my app off now in February, he proposed.
[56:02] Speaker 6: But I turned my app off and y'all can do
[56:06] Speaker 6: the math last as soon as that app turned yea.
[56:12] Speaker 6: But I think it was much better this time that
[56:15] Speaker 6: we were This was no accident at all. It was like, okay,
[56:18] Speaker 6: we knew this was happening. I didn't know when it
[56:21] Speaker 6: was going to happen. I just let it, put it
[56:22] Speaker 6: in Guy's hands, like, Okay, when you're ready for me
[56:25] Speaker 6: to get pregnant, we can try this again. But now
[56:27] Speaker 6: we're open to it, and now I feel like it's
[56:31] Speaker 6: it's been a nice little breeze.
[56:35] Speaker 2: I'm just starting to do a Mother's day friendship girl
[56:39] Speaker 2: really quick before.
[56:41] Speaker 4: We okay, yeah, really quick, but just one more topic
[56:44] Speaker 4: because you are in Zatima, yes, and on BT BT
[56:49] Speaker 4: plus and.
[56:49] Speaker 1: It was playing on BT also yes, you are.
[56:52] Speaker 2: Crazy on this on the show.
[56:55] Speaker 4: Yes, can you tell our listeners who might not watch
[56:57] Speaker 4: the show a little bit about your character?
[56:59] Speaker 6: Okay, so my character is Leslie. She is I feel
[57:04] Speaker 6: like Leslie is misunderstood. I'm gonna say that she's very,
[57:08] Speaker 6: very misunderstood. But she is a psychopath. She's been through
[57:12] Speaker 6: a lot of things. She is the woman that she's
[57:16] Speaker 6: not in a good relationship at all.
[57:18] Speaker 1: She now she took her friend's man.
[57:22] Speaker 3: Okay, and that's the current.
[57:24] Speaker 1: She's started off wrong current but needs to be on
[57:27] Speaker 1: the way out.
[57:29] Speaker 6: But he is obsessed with the lead, Crystal Renee Fatima,
[57:34] Speaker 6: so he's in love with her, but she is in
[57:37] Speaker 6: love with him, and that whole dynamic has caused her
[57:42] Speaker 6: to be overly obsessed with Crystal, and she just is
[57:47] Speaker 6: not receiving the love because you tried to get it
[57:49] Speaker 6: from somebody else, baby like, So it's not working out
[57:52] Speaker 6: for her. But that whole process is really really making
[57:55] Speaker 6: her crazy. But I think there's a backstory to this
[58:01] Speaker 6: that we don't know yet, But I think that she
[58:04] Speaker 6: just gives so much trauma. She gives young trauma, like
[58:06] Speaker 6: maybe her dad didn't love her enough, or her dad
[58:10] Speaker 6: always wanted her to be like somebody.
[58:11] Speaker 4: Else or how old is she in the show? Is
[58:13] Speaker 4: she supposed to be like in her thirties or twenties.
[58:14] Speaker 4: She's in her thirties, okay, so she need not be
[58:16] Speaker 4: doing it. She needs some help at.
[58:18] Speaker 6: Least, that's yeah, she's she's in her thirties. Everybody, everybody
[58:21] Speaker 6: grown enough to know right is right, wrong is wrong.
[58:24] Speaker 6: But I think she has a lot of deeper layers.
[58:27] Speaker 6: At least that's what I discovered from her, and we
[58:30] Speaker 6: need to kind of unravel them. But as of right now,
[58:34] Speaker 6: she is ape shit, like you never know what she's
[58:38] Speaker 6: gonna do. She's fake pregnant, and it's so funny because
[58:42] Speaker 6: I'm pregnant now, you know what I mean? And so
[58:45] Speaker 6: when I get on lives and I do stuff now,
[58:46] Speaker 6: they're like, I'm no, Leslie, not pregnant for real. But
[58:51] Speaker 6: I I wear all of her exact same hairstyles. I
[58:54] Speaker 6: show up at her job like I'm just overly obsessed
[58:57] Speaker 6: with her because I want to become her because my man.
[59:00] Speaker 6: I think my man wants me to be her, and
[59:03] Speaker 6: if I be her, then he's gonna love.
[59:05] Speaker 1: Me, right, which is like, girl, like we got to
[59:09] Speaker 1: talk about that on its own.
[59:10] Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, Like, that's the type of
[59:12] Speaker 6: woman that ain't got enough friends that we talked about.
[59:14] Speaker 2: That's what it was.
[59:16] Speaker 1: But I got enough friends to sit her down and say, hey,
[59:20] Speaker 1: this man is not for you.
[59:21] Speaker 3: She didn't have time. She's too busy trying.
[59:23] Speaker 6: To be exact exactly. She has these shrines, but she
[59:27] Speaker 6: is a whole.
[59:28] Speaker 2: Is this a fun character? But I feel like this
[59:30] Speaker 2: so fun character, and I would like to play a villain.
[59:32] Speaker 3: I want to be a villain.
[59:35] Speaker 1: It's so fun.
[59:36] Speaker 6: I've been I've been so tired of being Okay, you're
[59:38] Speaker 6: the cute girl, you the wife. I could not get
[59:41] Speaker 6: them to stop sending me high school rolls, college ros.
[59:45] Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I'm thirty. Went back then. That was
[59:48] Speaker 1: the last time I did. I think I was thirty
[59:50] Speaker 1: playing high school.
[59:51] Speaker 2: Let me ask you, do you have a favorite villain
[59:55] Speaker 2: in all of villain history? I don't.
[1:00:01] Speaker 1: I don't know if I have a favorite villain.
[1:00:03] Speaker 5: The first one that comes to mind that I quite
[1:00:06] Speaker 5: enjoyed no Lynn Whitfield in a thin line between love
[1:00:11] Speaker 5: and hate?
[1:00:11] Speaker 1: Really okay, Well that's Leslie.
[1:00:16] Speaker 4: And Diary of a Mad Black woman, she was still
[1:00:19] Speaker 4: the villain even though that was a family story.
[1:00:21] Speaker 2: She was Remember she was like my mama.
[1:00:25] Speaker 3: Remember she's never not she always love with field.
[1:00:32] Speaker 6: Okay, so see, you would be one of the fans
[1:00:34] Speaker 6: that I'm like, I appreciate that you I'm not going
[1:00:36] Speaker 6: to be because.
[1:00:37] Speaker 3: You need that, you need the conflict in the show.
[1:00:40] Speaker 3: This isn't a Disney Channel.
[1:00:43] Speaker 4: Even though when you get into the villain story, you
[1:00:45] Speaker 4: do be sad and you be like, d she ain't
[1:00:46] Speaker 4: even she brings the drama.
[1:00:49] Speaker 1: They are eating it up. I'm very, very grateful.
[1:00:52] Speaker 6: I will say this is my absolute favorite role that
[1:00:55] Speaker 6: I've ever played because it is a villain.
[1:00:58] Speaker 1: I never saw myself saying, hey, I want to be
[1:01:00] Speaker 1: the villain.
[1:01:01] Speaker 6: Actually, in the beginning, I'm like, everybody's gonna hate me
[1:01:04] Speaker 6: if I do this, if I you know, if.
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: I blah blah blah. I'm like, should I just ease
[1:01:08] Speaker 1: this back? And they're like, no, that is not the
[1:01:11] Speaker 1: point of it. Be who this person is.
[1:01:14] Speaker 6: And I'm like, okay, I'm in there like biting myself,
[1:01:17] Speaker 6: hitting myself in the head like she is.
[1:01:18] Speaker 1: Literally.
[1:01:20] Speaker 4: I always wonder when people get so much into a
[1:01:22] Speaker 4: role like that, does the role ever follow you home?
[1:01:24] Speaker 6: And you'd be like, okay, no, I am not with
[1:01:31] Speaker 6: this character. And I always tell people this, This was
[1:01:34] Speaker 6: no type of method acting.
[1:01:36] Speaker 1: This was not I could not do it.
[1:01:38] Speaker 6: First of all, I couldn't relate to her, even if
[1:01:41] Speaker 6: I wanted to. I got a man at home. He
[1:01:43] Speaker 6: loves me down like I'm sitting here and bliss and
[1:01:47] Speaker 6: you are the complete opposite. First of all, I don't
[1:01:50] Speaker 6: even want to think like how you're thinking and then
[1:01:53] Speaker 6: bring that home. But also I just could not relate
[1:01:57] Speaker 6: to her. So our director is in Courtney Glade. He
[1:02:02] Speaker 6: called me and was saying, you know, let me talk
[1:02:05] Speaker 6: you through the character. Let me talk you through what
[1:02:06] Speaker 6: I want because y'all so wrote the series. So I
[1:02:09] Speaker 6: was watching certain shows. One of them was Nurse Ratchet
[1:02:14] Speaker 6: so Netflix, if you remember the Psycho that was on there.
[1:02:18] Speaker 6: So I was just watching her mannerisms, watching her movements,
[1:02:21] Speaker 6: and just studying people. I watched a thing line between
[1:02:23] Speaker 6: love and hate fifty thousand times.
[1:02:25] Speaker 2: Have you ever seen The Hand that Rocks the Cradle?
[1:02:27] Speaker 1: Yes, I have, And that's a good movie.
[1:02:29] Speaker 2: I saw.
[1:02:30] Speaker 1: That's that's what it's given. That is exactly what it's given.
[1:02:36] Speaker 4: That for people that that's really happened to. Imagine you
[1:02:38] Speaker 4: meet somebody you're like, oh my god, she's so great.
[1:02:40] Speaker 2: And really I.
[1:02:41] Speaker 6: Would if somebody came in there and stole my baby,
[1:02:45] Speaker 6: I would be Leslie. I would turn into her, like
[1:02:48] Speaker 6: I would go all the way left just like her.
[1:02:52] Speaker 6: But the character is I had to study more of that,
[1:02:56] Speaker 6: study mannerism, study how do they cracked jokes? Because I
[1:03:01] Speaker 6: constantly just leave my eyes open. All crazy people just
[1:03:03] Speaker 6: leave it like this.
[1:03:05] Speaker 1: They don't like.
[1:03:08] Speaker 3: Like just they have that twitch, that's it.
[1:03:11] Speaker 6: And Courtney would tell me during certain movements or certain moments,
[1:03:16] Speaker 6: like after saying like Okay, we're about to do this thing. Now,
[1:03:18] Speaker 6: this is what I want you to do. I want
[1:03:19] Speaker 6: you to hit your head, I want you to bite
[1:03:20] Speaker 6: your arm, I want you to blah blah blah, and
[1:03:22] Speaker 6: then I would just do it because he was a
[1:03:24] Speaker 6: good director in that moment. So a lot of the
[1:03:27] Speaker 6: stuff that they were saying like yes it was, well,
[1:03:32] Speaker 6: it wasn't in the script. And I think that was
[1:03:34] Speaker 6: the fun part about doing this as well, because I
[1:03:37] Speaker 6: never knew like, Okay, what are we about to create?
[1:03:40] Speaker 4: Now?
[1:03:41] Speaker 1: What is Leslie about to do?
[1:03:42] Speaker 4: Now.
[1:03:42] Speaker 6: I was curious myself because I knew, whatever's on this script,
[1:03:45] Speaker 6: that's not all that's about to happen.
[1:03:47] Speaker 1: I was about to really go left, and.
[1:03:49] Speaker 6: It will just play with it if I naturally did something.
[1:03:52] Speaker 6: There's some scenes in there that are more comedic because
[1:03:54] Speaker 6: I'll just play all day, but it would be something crazy.
[1:03:58] Speaker 6: He when she was fake pregnant and she was telling
[1:04:00] Speaker 6: her husband like, yeah, I'm pregnant because Fatima is pregnant.
[1:04:03] Speaker 6: The girl that I'm obsessed with, she got pregnant, so
[1:04:05] Speaker 6: now of course I got to be pregnant. And he's like, girl,
[1:04:08] Speaker 6: I can't have kids, and she's like, oh well why not?
[1:04:13] Speaker 6: You know now we got a miracle baby. Why do
[1:04:15] Speaker 6: this miracle baby can't be yours? Like she was just
[1:04:17] Speaker 6: left and stupid, like, I literally cannot have kids, you're lying,
[1:04:21] Speaker 6: and I dramatically just fall out on the floor, fake pregnant.
[1:04:24] Speaker 6: He leaves me, and I'm like, ow, you know what
[1:04:25] Speaker 6: I'm saying.
[1:04:26] Speaker 1: Whatever, like you just don't love me.
[1:04:30] Speaker 6: But yeah, this is season one, this is I'm on
[1:04:32] Speaker 6: season three and season four, Season four, y'all season watch,
[1:04:36] Speaker 6: you have.
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: To watch it.
[1:04:38] Speaker 6: We are going to break right now. But season four,
[1:04:40] Speaker 6: go back, binge watch it. We're coming back in a
[1:04:44] Speaker 6: few months, hopefully sooner than later. They split it up,
[1:04:48] Speaker 6: but the first ten episodes are definitely out.
[1:04:49] Speaker 4: Now that's a lot to get through, ten episodes, so
[1:04:51] Speaker 4: y'all got time in the space for it.
[1:04:53] Speaker 2: You also have a production company. Tell us a little
[1:04:57] Speaker 2: bit about that.
[1:04:58] Speaker 1: So it's called La Elite Production.
[1:05:01] Speaker 6: Lindsay Anthony Elite had a productions Our story is crazy. Also,
[1:05:09] Speaker 6: we filmed three feature films between April and May. All
[1:05:15] Speaker 6: three of them are coming out this year. One of
[1:05:17] Speaker 6: them is out now. It's called Girls Night, is playing
[1:05:20] Speaker 6: on Fox Soul. It airs again Friday at seven pm
[1:05:26] Speaker 6: ten pm Eastern time. It's based on the story of
[1:05:29] Speaker 6: Tamla Horsford. Do you remember her story. It's a true
[1:05:32] Speaker 6: story that happened in Georgia very quickly, her and her
[1:05:37] Speaker 6: husband moved to come in Georgia and she went.
[1:05:41] Speaker 2: To a sleepover with.
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: Yes.
[1:05:46] Speaker 6: So that that is girl that's out now Friday, Girls Night.
[1:05:53] Speaker 6: What I just say seven pm Pacific time, ten pm
[1:05:57] Speaker 6: Eastern time.
[1:05:58] Speaker 4: Oh friend, I know you about to drop that baby off,
[1:06:00] Speaker 4: and now I got an idea when you when you're

[1:06:16] Speaker 5: theme party, and I want to do that so bad.
[1:06:19] Speaker 3: They had different stations for each character. Okay, and everybody came.
[1:06:23] Speaker 5: They had their pajamas and they even did The meal
[1:06:26] Speaker 5: that they had was all the food that what's her
[1:06:29] Speaker 5: name was saying Loretta Devine's character, every little thing that
[1:06:32] Speaker 5: she said she was having that day when she was
[1:06:34] Speaker 5: watching when the neighbor was watching her walk away, that's
[1:06:36] Speaker 5: what they ate. They had a hookah section because for
[1:06:42] Speaker 5: Bernadette for when she burned the house down. And then
[1:06:45] Speaker 5: they had like a few other little things and they
[1:06:47] Speaker 5: watched the movie. They played some games.
[1:06:49] Speaker 2: It was so crazy. I have to have a watch
[1:06:51] Speaker 2: and I will host it. It'll be so much fun.
[1:06:53] Speaker 6: Okay, the story is said, but I hope everybody, yeah,
