We dive into personal reflections this week, underscoring the value of patience and thankfulness for life's little triumphs. These moments serve as a reminder of the importance of embracing who we are and the journey we've embarked on. We wrap things up with an exploration of vulnerability in the digital age, examining the courage it takes to share one's struggles while maintaining a sense of privacy. Insights on managing anxiety and self-perception during high-pressure situations pave the way for tales of romantic entanglements and self-empowerment. [0:12] Speaker 1: With Kikia Medina Monroe.
[0:14] Speaker 3: Here.
[0:18] Speaker 1: Today's cocktail is called mom Water. What you're going to
[0:21] Speaker 1: need for this drink is pretty simple. You're gonna take
[0:24] Speaker 1: one ounce of apparol, or you can use compari if
[0:27] Speaker 1: you want, like a more herby, bitter taste, and then
[0:30] Speaker 1: you're gonna need a splash of club soda and some
[0:33] Speaker 1: prosecco to top it off. So we'll take your champagne
[0:36] Speaker 1: flute and we're gonna add in about one ounce of
[0:39] Speaker 1: the apparol. I was like about an ounce, a splash
[0:49] Speaker 1: of clubs soda. I already have one open. I'm gonna
[0:53] Speaker 1: do another one.
[0:55] Speaker 4: It's mom Water.
[0:56] Speaker 1: So you might put this in your Stanley and take
[0:58] Speaker 1: it to the soccer game, or I'm gonna want you
[1:00] Speaker 1: chew it, and then we're gonna finish it off with
[1:03] Speaker 1: some prosecco or sparkling wine.
[1:08] Speaker 4: And that's all it.
[1:09] Speaker 2: Is to it. Mom Water.
[1:11] Speaker 1: Cheers well, cheers to the Mom's out there.
[1:15] Speaker 4: Out out to all the mamas who.
[1:17] Speaker 1: Have a nice little light beverage for the soccer games
[1:21] Speaker 1: in your water bottles and your Stanley So I've seen
[1:24] Speaker 1: you girls and.
[1:24] Speaker 4: I have alcohol and their Stanley's at the soccer game.
[1:27] Speaker 1: Medina. Absolutely. They sell a cup on Amazon where it's
[1:32] Speaker 1: like you put your hard liquor inside of this thing
[1:35] Speaker 1: and then whatever you want to mix with and you
[1:37] Speaker 1: push the button and it'll release a shot. So you
[1:39] Speaker 1: know how much you're putting in there. Those mamas are
[1:42] Speaker 1: not drinking smart water. Wow, they have wine and stuff
[1:48] Speaker 1: in their cups?
[1:49] Speaker 4: Are lady?
[1:51] Speaker 1: I always kids screaming? Anyway, Welcome back to Cocktail's Dirty Discussions,
[1:55] Speaker 1: you guys, I am Kiky said.
[1:57] Speaker 4: So I'm Medina Monroe. Hey y'all, So what you been
[2:01] Speaker 4: up to?
[2:02] Speaker 3: I have been.
[2:05] Speaker 2: I don't know which episode is coming out first, but
[2:09] Speaker 2: I went to Iceland. It was a very it was
[2:12] Speaker 2: I say interesting trip because of what I'm going through personally,
[2:16] Speaker 2: and the whole theme of the Iceland trip was a
[2:21] Speaker 2: glow It was the glow up journey with Jasmine Turner.
[2:23] Speaker 2: I'm not sure if you're familiar with her, but she's
[2:25] Speaker 2: a vlogger, a YouTuber girl.
[2:27] Speaker 1: I wasn't familiar with her, but funny enough, today when
[2:30] Speaker 1: I was getting ready, I was watching YouTube blogs that
[2:32] Speaker 1: blog from Iceland popped up, so I started it, but
[2:35] Speaker 1: I haven't finished yet. Yeah.
[2:36] Speaker 4: So she did two workshops.
[2:38] Speaker 2: One of the workshops her and I did together, and
[2:41] Speaker 2: I had the pleasure of interviewing her and getting to
[2:44] Speaker 2: know her a on a deeper level. She went to
[2:47] Speaker 2: law school and ended up dropping out, and then when
[2:49] Speaker 2: she dropped out, she was like everything fell apart. How
[2:51] Speaker 2: we were telling Veronica like healing processes are not pretty.
[2:54] Speaker 2: She was talking about the glowup journey, but really talking
[2:56] Speaker 2: about those those intricol parts where it's like, this is
[3:00] Speaker 2: when people do Instagram hiatuses and you don't know where
[3:02] Speaker 2: they went, and it's like, yeah, I mean she's down
[3:05] Speaker 2: bad like and it was just everybody got to connect
[3:08] Speaker 2: in a different type of way. That's what I love
[3:10] Speaker 2: about the retreats. And so life has been lifing in
[3:14] Speaker 2: my side of the world, and so I'm just in
[3:18] Speaker 2: a very interesting space.
[3:21] Speaker 1: So am I. I'm in a very interesting space too.
[3:25] Speaker 3: Girl.
[3:26] Speaker 1: I'm telling you she's stressed out or something like Ronica said,
[3:29] Speaker 1: she's really happy I've read that stuff. I don't know
[3:31] Speaker 1: what's going on. They say that, I don't know. I mean,
[3:33] Speaker 1: I know you love me down baby, but girl like
[3:35] Speaker 1: relying get flag on YouTube. Somebody in the comments was like,
[3:40] Speaker 1: why did y'all bleep out this? I said, because we're
[3:43] Speaker 1: trying to be monetized. One talk about this is contails.
[3:46] Speaker 1: Well we know what it was was recording it, but
[3:48] Speaker 1: also we're talking about an animal humping and doing all
[3:51] Speaker 1: of this, so like we can't have all that going on.
[3:53] Speaker 1: They're gonna shut the whole thing down. You ain't gonna
[3:56] Speaker 1: be mad about that, and I'm gonna have to bleep
[3:58] Speaker 1: this too. Blap you. You need calmed down anyway. But yeah,
[4:03] Speaker 1: so overall, you loved Iceland.
[4:06] Speaker 4: Loved it, loved it, loved it.
[4:07] Speaker 2: I kind of talked about it briefly last week but
[4:09] Speaker 2: didn't go into details since we had a guess. But
[4:12] Speaker 2: tried several different types of food. We did a volcano,
[4:18] Speaker 2: a lava cave tour. It was really cool. It was
[4:21] Speaker 2: it's so cold in Iceland.
[4:23] Speaker 1: I would imagine ice girl, but.
[4:25] Speaker 2: It's so beautiful. It just looked like Game of Thrones,
[4:28] Speaker 2: Like I wish I could have gone on one of
[4:29] Speaker 2: the Game of Thrones tours.
[4:30] Speaker 4: It was far.
[4:32] Speaker 2: So yeah, that was cool. It was a very healing trip.
[4:35] Speaker 2: I had a moment with one of my friends. Have
[4:36] Speaker 2: you ever had like a moment with a friend where
[4:38] Speaker 2: it's like, sometimes you need things but you don't know
[4:42] Speaker 2: what you need, and then like a friend will show
[4:44] Speaker 2: up in a way that they've never shown up before,
[4:46] Speaker 2: and it's just like, like I need a sad I
[4:50] Speaker 2: needed that, and it's almost like you get reminded that, like, bro,
[4:54] Speaker 2: we all be going through shit and sometimes you just
[4:56] Speaker 2: need a hug and a good cry. And so I
[4:59] Speaker 2: got to connect with one of my friends on that
[5:00] Speaker 2: trip where it was just it was just really special
[5:02] Speaker 2: and very much needed.
[5:04] Speaker 4: And yeah, that's good.
[5:07] Speaker 1: You brought me back some salts. I cannot wait to
[5:09] Speaker 1: try them. I have to report back later. You guys
[5:12] Speaker 1: got a variety of salts and I love them. And
[5:13] Speaker 1: I was sad because I had a bunch of salts.
[5:16] Speaker 1: I don't know what happened. I don't know if something
[5:18] Speaker 1: spilled or you know, i'd be having my cousin. Maybe
[5:20] Speaker 1: he spilled something. I don't know what happened. It might
[5:22] Speaker 1: have been me, but it's it's something spilled, and so
[5:26] Speaker 1: it was messing up the salts. And I had a
[5:27] Speaker 1: bunch of different ones and I had to throw them away,
[5:30] Speaker 1: and I was sad because I didn't get to use
[5:31] Speaker 1: them all. It was all different types of like flavored salts.
[5:34] Speaker 1: I loved trying them out on different things. So this
[5:36] Speaker 1: came right on time. I had to try out some
[5:38] Speaker 1: new stuff and these are different flavors.
[5:41] Speaker 4: What you've Beennna do?
[5:42] Speaker 2: How are you?
[5:43] Speaker 1: I am doing well. I have been busy, busy, busy.
[5:47] Speaker 1: I got a new job. I still got all my
[5:49] Speaker 1: old jobs, so I'm really excited about that. Congrat Thank you.
[5:53] Speaker 1: I'll tell you guys more about it later. But I've
[5:56] Speaker 1: started working. We've interproduction. I'm doing a news show and
[6:01] Speaker 1: it's really different because it's not about me. All I'm
[6:04] Speaker 1: doing is interviewing men. Could you imagine that I got
[6:07] Speaker 1: a job? Yes, everybody is a black man, And I said,
[6:11] Speaker 1: this is a personal challenge in so many ways, but
[6:14] Speaker 1: it's really interesting. I've only recorded one interview so far,
[6:19] Speaker 1: but we've got some more launch up in person. Well,
[6:23] Speaker 1: some will be virtual, someone will be in person. It
[6:24] Speaker 1: just kind of depends. But I'm really excited about it
[6:29] Speaker 1: and anxious to see how it goes. I get nervous
[6:31] Speaker 1: about everything. I'm just on a regular weekend basis. I know,
[6:36] Speaker 1: but it's like it's different. It's a different tone, it's
[6:39] Speaker 1: a different it's a job. It's not my idea, it's
[6:42] Speaker 1: somebody else's idea, and they're trusting me to bring this
[6:46] Speaker 1: to life. And then it's also like it's just different
[6:50] Speaker 1: in so many ways. But I'm welcoming different things. I'm
[6:53] Speaker 1: welcoming challenges I was. I told you I'm fifty million times,
[6:57] Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tall you fifty more times. I was in
[6:59] Speaker 1: a really bad rut for a long time, and it's
[7:03] Speaker 1: almost been a year. Hell or I guess it has
[7:06] Speaker 1: been a year. And working through everything that I've been
[7:11] Speaker 1: going through and trying to come out better or at
[7:16] Speaker 1: least where I was before I got into the rut
[7:18] Speaker 1: has been a challenge. And part of that challenge is
[7:22] Speaker 1: me challenging myself to speak up more about the things
[7:25] Speaker 1: that I want. It's like, Okay, you're unhappy about certain things.
[7:29] Speaker 1: You can't change everything, but you do have the power
[7:33] Speaker 1: to let people know or to put it out there.
[7:35] Speaker 1: People can't help you like we've been saying for a
[7:38] Speaker 1: while now, people can't help you if they don't know
[7:40] Speaker 1: that you need it, and you don't always every time,
[7:45] Speaker 1: and every time you try to get help, don't be
[7:48] Speaker 1: discouraged because whatever way you want to try something new
[7:51] Speaker 1: to get the help, to have the opportunity to do
[7:53] Speaker 1: whatever it is you want, that might not always work out,
[7:56] Speaker 1: but it doesn't mean something better won't come along. Like
[7:59] Speaker 1: I've tried different things and certain things weren't working, but
[8:02] Speaker 1: I felt I feel wholeheartedly that because I actually started
[8:06] Speaker 1: putting in actual effort, opening my mouth. Even the stuff
[8:09] Speaker 1: that I was asking or who I was asking to
[8:12] Speaker 1: help that didn't work out, but something else came to me,
[8:15] Speaker 1: And I feel like it's because I put it out there.
[8:17] Speaker 1: I prayed about it, and I didn't just pray about
[8:19] Speaker 1: it and hope for somebody to come save me. I
[8:21] Speaker 1: was doing things to make changes. And so I encourage
[8:24] Speaker 1: anybody to just try it, because what is it hurt?
[8:26] Speaker 1: You already hurting, so like, just try, just try it,
[8:30] Speaker 1: like what we're all trying to figure things out and
[8:33] Speaker 1: that's how life goes. And so that part's really exciting,
[8:38] Speaker 1: and I'm excited to see my family this weekend. My
[8:41] Speaker 1: niece is turning fifteen.
[8:42] Speaker 4: Y'all was crazy.
[8:44] Speaker 1: She is like a grown girl. Yeah, she's in a play.
[8:47] Speaker 1: She's in a Little Mermaid.
[8:49] Speaker 2: Is she area?
[8:50] Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
[8:51] Speaker 4: Is she gonna sing?
[8:52] Speaker 1: She is singing because she's in the chorus, so she
[8:56] Speaker 1: has to sing and dance. It's a musical. I can't
[8:59] Speaker 1: wait to see. It started last weekend, so her birthday's
[9:02] Speaker 1: on the sixteenth. I just can't believe she is so grown.
[9:06] Speaker 1: I remember when my sister was pregnant, and now she's
[9:09] Speaker 1: got this tall girl who like towers over me, and
[9:13] Speaker 1: it's so mature and has so much personality. It's just crazy.
[9:18] Speaker 1: And I'm excited to see my family. I did not
[9:21] Speaker 1: do a lot of traveling this year, and I haven't
[9:26] Speaker 1: seen them as much as I would like to. So
[9:28] Speaker 1: I was really happy when some of them came out,
[9:30] Speaker 1: but my nieces didn't come, and so I'm happy to
[9:32] Speaker 1: go home and see them, and then what else is
[9:36] Speaker 1: going on. I'm excited about the trip. It's just like
[9:38] Speaker 1: time is ticking and I need a vacation. I ain't
[9:40] Speaker 1: been on a vacation and it's so long. I was
[9:43] Speaker 1: talking to one of my homegirls. She's like, you haven't
[9:44] Speaker 1: been in Houston all year. I said, I know, and
[9:46] Speaker 1: I miss it bad. I miss it so bad. But
[9:48] Speaker 1: I've got if I want things to change, I used
[9:51] Speaker 1: to be there every week. Ain't got a record. We
[9:53] Speaker 1: don't have to do shit. I'm going right and I
[9:56] Speaker 1: would have a blast. But it's like, okay, if I'm
[9:59] Speaker 1: setting these goals and one thing that I told myself,
[10:03] Speaker 1: I mean, this didn't come towards the end of the year.
[10:06] Speaker 1: One thing is I would like to be that free
[10:07] Speaker 1: by my next birthday. Well, bitch, if you keep spending
[10:10] Speaker 1: money like you sell drugs and don't how you gonna
[10:14] Speaker 1: do that? You not touring this year, Checks ain't coming
[10:17] Speaker 1: in like they used to. You need to slow down.
[10:20] Speaker 1: Bills go up. You're still renting a place, do you?
[10:23] Speaker 1: And rent goes up every year Georgia power goes up.
[10:26] Speaker 1: Which can we get a class action lawsuit going? Because
[10:29] Speaker 1: Georgia Power is on some bullshit. Do y'all know that
[10:31] Speaker 1: they said they weren't participating in inflation and now they
[10:34] Speaker 1: are and that's why people's bills started going up earlier
[10:37] Speaker 1: this year. Astronomically reading little emails is going to your
[10:40] Speaker 1: span because they're on some bullshit. Anyway, bills are going up.
[10:44] Speaker 2: You saw Canva. I mean this is not Georgia Power,
[10:46] Speaker 2: but Canva tried to go up and then they rolled
[10:48] Speaker 2: it right back. Y'all better not be stop y'all fucking playing. Okay.
[10:53] Speaker 1: I do appreciate everything y'all done, because y'all have come
[10:55] Speaker 1: a long way. But like bitch Chill, I'm promoting y'all
[10:58] Speaker 1: all the time, okay, and we use it. So anyway,
[11:04] Speaker 1: bills is high, and I've got to make changes. I
[11:08] Speaker 1: can't do all the things that I want to do.
[11:09] Speaker 1: That's why I'm sitting here with nine fingernails. In the
[11:11] Speaker 1: last episode, I had t because one of my press
[11:13] Speaker 1: ons popped off. But I'm like, I've got to make
[11:15] Speaker 1: some cuts because there's certain goals that I want. And
[11:18] Speaker 1: unfortunately Captain saber Hoo has never come to knock at
[11:23] Speaker 1: my door. He don't be sliding my dms, none of that.
[11:27] Speaker 1: And that's okay, because why should somebody save me? Just
[11:35] Speaker 1: like the women that we come from, standing on these
[11:38] Speaker 1: two big old feet, get them on.
[11:41] Speaker 2: Cayler Perry need to make a Netphelix comedy series about that.
[11:45] Speaker 2: And I don't even know if it needs to be comedy.
[11:46] Speaker 2: You might need to be a dramedy.
[11:49] Speaker 1: Now, yeah, maybe we should write it.
[11:52] Speaker 2: Maybe we should write it now.
[11:53] Speaker 1: We just can go on down to Tyler Perry Studios
[11:55] Speaker 1: and pitch it.
[11:56] Speaker 2: Sir. We wrote a script about how we standing on
[11:58] Speaker 2: our own and don't.
[11:59] Speaker 1: Steal it neither. Do you think he would?
[12:02] Speaker 2: No?
[12:03] Speaker 4: I sent him a DM today. I ask what you say?
[12:05] Speaker 4: I said, could you help me, mister Tyler Perry.
[12:07] Speaker 1: I sent him a DM before, and I was like, Hey, birthday, twin,
[12:10] Speaker 1: have your birthday.
[12:11] Speaker 4: He's gonna see it.
[12:13] Speaker 1: No, I don't think he'd be on there. I think
[12:16] Speaker 1: when you got that much responsibility and that much money,
[12:20] Speaker 1: what would I be worried about a DM for? I
[12:23] Speaker 1: got somebody else to do it. I would rather somebody
[12:25] Speaker 1: else filter through my dms and let me know the
[12:27] Speaker 1: messages I want to see, and not see it because
[12:29] Speaker 1: think about like all the good stuffs that could come.
[12:31] Speaker 1: But imagine how many people say mean things about him.
[12:34] Speaker 1: People are mean on the internet, you know, And it's
[12:35] Speaker 1: just like that's a stressor that I'm too rich to
[12:38] Speaker 1: be dealing with. Somebody gets somebody else to do it.
[12:42] Speaker 2: All right, y'all. It is holiday season, and if your
[12:46] Speaker 2: love language is receiving gifts, that's amazing. But there's another
[12:50] Speaker 2: unspoken of love language, and that is giving gifts, like
[12:54] Speaker 2: the type of gifts you give. Are you a good
[12:57] Speaker 2: gift giver? I enjoy being a great gift giver. When
[13:01] Speaker 2: I get a good gift, I'm like, oh my gosh,
[13:02] Speaker 2: I didn't even know I needed this. Those are the
[13:04] Speaker 2: best gifts. And let me tell you, the Tushy bidets
[13:08] Speaker 2: are one of those gifts that if you give them it,
[13:11] Speaker 2: they're gonna be like, I didn't even know I needed this,
[13:13] Speaker 2: Like this is a necessity. It's a luxury for your butthole,
[13:19] Speaker 2: Like like you, I didn't know I needed a beday.
[13:22] Speaker 2: First of all, I didn't know that you could attach
[13:23] Speaker 2: a bidet to your toilet. So it's like, oh, I
[13:26] Speaker 2: don't have to have that whole, separate little toilet of
[13:28] Speaker 2: the kiki. I love my I use it so much.
[13:31] Speaker 2: I really need another one. I really want the travel one.
[13:34] Speaker 2: You know they got a travel size one.
[13:35] Speaker 1: I saw that one. I was on their website. You guys,
[13:37] Speaker 1: Tushi is great. I found out about Tushy a long
[13:40] Speaker 1: time ago and I ordered it right and since then
[13:43] Speaker 1: they have come out with so many more products. It's
[13:46] Speaker 1: all about luxury. They have different types of bidets. They
[13:49] Speaker 1: have the travel bidet. They have all sorts of like
[13:52] Speaker 1: bathroom and bidet essentials to upgrade your bathroom.
[13:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, and to make the bathroom experience.
[14:00] Speaker 1: And to keep you from having a dirty butt, because
[14:03] Speaker 1: it's that part. Because even though the flushable wipes are
[14:06] Speaker 1: called flushable wipes, I'm sure everybody has had an experience
[14:10] Speaker 1: with the clogged toilet and depending on where you live
[14:13] Speaker 1: in the situation, that could cost you a lot of money.
[14:16] Speaker 1: Plus the bidet is way more sanitary, so you can
[14:19] Speaker 1: attach it to your toilet. Like Medina said, you don't
[14:22] Speaker 1: have to have like an additional uh toilet. It's not
[14:27] Speaker 1: like in backs. You don't mean that now. I mean
[14:29] Speaker 1: it's nice if you get that. But it's great that
[14:31] Speaker 1: you can just pay a little bit of money to
[14:34] Speaker 1: attach this to your toilet. They have somewhere you can
[14:36] Speaker 1: have warm water on there. I think it feels really good.
[14:40] Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll just be using it. I didn't even take
[14:41] Speaker 1: a poop, but I'm just gonna spray my little But
[14:44] Speaker 1: it feels good. You can adjust it. I like how
[14:46] Speaker 1: you can increase or decrease the pressure. You can switch
[14:49] Speaker 1: the angle, y'all. It's a life changer. And there's a
[14:52] Speaker 1: reason so many people around the world use bidets all
[14:55] Speaker 1: of the time. We haven't always done that in America.
[14:58] Speaker 1: But it's not too late for you to get on
[14:59] Speaker 1: the band. And toush has some deep discounts on all
[15:03] Speaker 1: of their products right now, so you really need to

[15:43] Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't know what I was talking about,
[15:45] Speaker 1: but I do want to remind y'all. I keep saying
[15:47] Speaker 1: this because I'm I'm feeling better now, not black, but better.
[15:53] Speaker 1: And I keep trying to remind people that it might
[15:57] Speaker 1: take a long time them healing journeys. Be looking quick
[15:59] Speaker 1: on you when they speed them up as they speed
[16:03] Speaker 1: them up, or they were on a hiatus for three
[16:05] Speaker 1: months and now they're coming out of it, so they're
[16:06] Speaker 1: back creating content.
[16:07] Speaker 4: And care grown back. M got veneers.
[16:13] Speaker 1: Money looking right, yeah, and so it's looking good. And
[16:15] Speaker 1: so it's just like you got to remind yourself, even
[16:18] Speaker 1: when you do get your small wins, be happy for them.
[16:20] Speaker 1: Be grateful. That's another thing I've been working on. Gratitude.
[16:24] Speaker 1: It's like I can complain about I didn't get to
[16:27] Speaker 1: take all of my trips this year, bitch, at least
[16:29] Speaker 1: you've got to because not too long ago, when y'all
[16:32] Speaker 1: knew what's them, I couldn't go on their trips. Every
[16:35] Speaker 1: bit of extra something I had was going back into this,
[16:39] Speaker 1: you know. And so it's like, it's nice to be
[16:41] Speaker 1: able to do stuff. It's nice to be able to
[16:43] Speaker 1: see people. It's nice to be able to go and
[16:46] Speaker 1: have a little bit of comfort and a cushion. It's
[16:49] Speaker 1: also cool the new people that I'm working with. It's
[16:53] Speaker 1: mostly women, and I've really been enjoying working with them
[16:57] Speaker 1: because so often people act like women can't work together,
[17:02] Speaker 1: and like we've worked together for a really long time,
[17:05] Speaker 1: for example, and while it's not always easy, we're still here, right,
[17:08] Speaker 1: but we know that it can be difficult, but it's
[17:10] Speaker 1: nice to be but we know each other, so it's
[17:13] Speaker 1: like it's a different baseline for us, I think. And
[17:16] Speaker 1: so working with strangers and it not being a situation
[17:19] Speaker 1: where it could be Caddy. I see a lot of
[17:22] Speaker 1: the girls who have their corporate jobs and they complain
[17:26] Speaker 1: about this, and then a lot of my friends they
[17:27] Speaker 1: tell me about like the microaggressions at work and dealing
[17:30] Speaker 1: with all of this, and so it also feels good
[17:32] Speaker 1: to not be in a situation like that. Yeah, And
[17:35] Speaker 1: it's nice to be with different people, a new energy,
[17:39] Speaker 1: And I just feel like it was good timing for me.
[17:42] Speaker 1: If it had came maybe three months earlier, it wouldn't
[17:46] Speaker 1: have worked out because I just I wouldn't have been
[17:48] Speaker 1: able to receive it and handle it. And so think
[17:50] Speaker 1: about that too. Sometimes maybe when things aren't coming your
[17:54] Speaker 1: way that you want, you're not ready to handle it.
[17:56] Speaker 1: I'd have an honest talk with myself in the mirror.
[17:58] Speaker 1: I was looking cute, so it's easy.
[18:00] Speaker 2: To do it is you look cute when you're looking
[18:04] Speaker 2: like Harriet. Let me not talk about Harriet because she
[18:07] Speaker 2: is a staple in the black community. Agr Mine, Well.
[18:12] Speaker 1: You Lookuie and not your best self.
[18:14] Speaker 2: Angie. Mama's family was really mad that they took her
[18:17] Speaker 2: off that shelf. They changed the they changed the.
[18:19] Speaker 1: Brain Pearl Milling Company.
[18:21] Speaker 2: They were like, no, we don't mind it, just look
[18:24] Speaker 2: we want that check.
[18:28] Speaker 1: And then it's confusing because like what the fuck is
[18:31] Speaker 1: Pearl Milling Company? Anyway?
[18:32] Speaker 4: But whatever, because ain't Jemima.
[18:34] Speaker 1: I just get missus butterworths now because I know that face,
[18:38] Speaker 1: because who the fuck is this meal?
[18:40] Speaker 2: I get the glass bottle, one, the whole foods one.
[18:44] Speaker 1: Oh, the real maple syrup. I like that too, but
[18:46] Speaker 1: you know, when the kiddies are around, the real maple
[18:48] Speaker 1: is not as sugary, and I just need them to
[18:50] Speaker 1: shut up. So anyway, every now and again they work
[18:56] Speaker 1: my nerves.
[18:58] Speaker 2: I don't know what I was saying talking about. It's yeah,
[19:04] Speaker 2: I was having an honest conversation with myself, and I
[19:06] Speaker 2: was like, you know, you say you want things, and
[19:09] Speaker 2: aside from putting in work to get them, if.
[19:13] Speaker 1: They were presented to you, would you have been able
[19:15] Speaker 1: to handle it? Would you have been too stressed out
[19:19] Speaker 1: or too worried about something else. Would you have been
[19:21] Speaker 1: able to manage the time? Would you have appreciated the opportunity,
[19:25] Speaker 1: would you have done what you needed to do to
[19:28] Speaker 1: really make it work? Or would you have fucked it up?
[19:32] Speaker 1: Things come when they supposed to. They say that. I
[19:36] Speaker 1: also thought I was supposed to get a winning lottery
[19:38] Speaker 1: ticket several times and that didn't happen, and that still
[19:40] Speaker 1: frustrates me every now and again.
[19:42] Speaker 2: But lottery tickets, I do twenty at a time. Okay,
[19:47] Speaker 2: I get warm, Okay, is everybody okay?
[19:50] Speaker 1: I just get one sometimes when I think I'm feeling lucky,
[19:53] Speaker 1: and then I switched it to when I'm feeling really
[19:55] Speaker 1: unlucky and having a bad day, I'm a buy a
[19:57] Speaker 1: lottery ticket because that could be a pick me up.
[19:59] Speaker 1: And if if I don't win, well, bitch, I'm already
[20:01] Speaker 1: in the gutter. So nothing has worked, but I'll probably
[20:06] Speaker 1: try again if I see it go really high up
[20:08] Speaker 1: on the bildboards. I like that there's an app now
[20:11] Speaker 1: that makes it easier. I've won six dollars before. Really, yes,
[20:16] Speaker 1: I made my money back. It cost me two dollars
[20:18] Speaker 1: and I got six. That's a four dollar profit. I'm
[20:20] Speaker 1: not mad at thought. You better get it anyway. That's
[20:23] Speaker 1: the gist of what's been going on over here and
[20:25] Speaker 1: trying to curb with Lee's whatever these emotions are that
[20:29] Speaker 1: called her to.
[20:32] Speaker 4: I was gonna.
[20:33] Speaker 2: I wanted to ask you something about when we were
[20:34] Speaker 2: talking about people not wanting to ask for help, what
[20:38] Speaker 2: do you think it is that makes us not want
[20:40] Speaker 2: to ask for help?
[20:42] Speaker 1: I know, for me, the biggest thing is the reminder.
[20:46] Speaker 1: And I will honestly say it hasn't even been that
[20:49] Speaker 1: many times, but it was disappointing enough. I don't like
[20:53] Speaker 1: that feeling. For me, it has been asking somebody for help.
[20:58] Speaker 1: They tell you that they will and then they don't,
[21:00] Speaker 1: and that disappointment and the stress that comes with it
[21:05] Speaker 1: is just like I don't even want to bother because
[21:09] Speaker 1: that is frustrating, kind of like rejection. How rejection goes
[21:13] Speaker 1: and you get reject you try something, you get rejected
[21:16] Speaker 1: and it's like, I don't want to do it anymore.
[21:17] Speaker 1: It didn't work out and that's not good. I'm working
[21:21] Speaker 1: through it. But that's what it is for me. What
[21:22] Speaker 1: do you think it is for you?
[21:26] Speaker 2: Maybe a little bit of that, but I think for
[21:28] Speaker 2: me it's always and this is it's weird to even
[21:32] Speaker 2: say this out loud. I think that for me, it's
[21:34] Speaker 2: like in certain areas where you need help and people
[21:39] Speaker 2: thinking that you wouldn't. Does that make sense, Like, oh,
[21:42] Speaker 2: like it seems like you just I don't like when
[21:46] Speaker 2: people say stuff like that. It's like, it seems like
[21:48] Speaker 2: you wouldn't do this because it's you. You don't look
[21:52] Speaker 2: like what you might be going mean anything, You wouldn't
[21:58] Speaker 2: need help, or you wouldn't I wouldn't need help the
[22:01] Speaker 2: judgment on that, and then also just like I guess
[22:05] Speaker 2: for me, the feeling would be just embarrassment when I
[22:07] Speaker 2: need help with anything. And that's something I've been trying
[22:10] Speaker 2: to get out of since before we had chemeon with
[22:13] Speaker 2: the gift of asking and talking about asking. I'm like,
[22:16] Speaker 2: but the more I have this conversation with people, because
[22:18] Speaker 2: this has been a theme amongst my friend group and
[22:21] Speaker 2: just different platforms. Yeah, and the amount of people that
[22:25] Speaker 2: just won't ask for help when you are literally exhausted,
[22:28] Speaker 2: like you definitely need help, whether it's you need a connection,
[22:32] Speaker 2: or you need some guidance, or you just need to
[22:35] Speaker 2: talk to somebody. Like the amount of people that really
[22:38] Speaker 2: not just me and you, but people that really feel
[22:41] Speaker 2: like if you ask for help, it's something wrong with
[22:44] Speaker 2: it or it's weak. And I'm really trying to get
[22:48] Speaker 2: out of that type of thinking because that doesn't lead
[22:50] Speaker 2: you to a good place. Yeah.
[22:53] Speaker 1: I said something like that to you, and I didn't
[22:54] Speaker 1: mean any offense by it. I just wanted you to
[22:56] Speaker 1: know I said something like I didn't realize you needed help.
[23:00] Speaker 1: I was only saying that, not because I want you
[23:03] Speaker 1: to feel a fairs or anything like that. Oh No,
[23:06] Speaker 1: but it's like to the point of, when you do
[23:09] Speaker 1: speak up, I wouldn't offer because I didn't think that
[23:13] Speaker 1: you wanted or needed it, and it's something I wouldn't
[23:15] Speaker 1: mind doing, so kind of like a reminder tell me
[23:19] Speaker 1: because then now I got my eyes open for something
[23:23] Speaker 1: in whatever it is you might need help with, and
[23:25] Speaker 1: I'll know to send them your way. I find it
[23:27] Speaker 1: overwhelming when people think that they're helping, and they send
[23:30] Speaker 1: you a bunch of informations like I don't need help
[23:32] Speaker 1: with this, and now you're just constantly sending meself. My
[23:34] Speaker 1: mama does this. It's very helpful, and I just don't
[23:37] Speaker 1: say much because it is my mom. But she constantly
[23:39] Speaker 1: sends me these little videos and she's like, this is
[23:41] Speaker 1: for your show, this is for your show, and it's like,
[23:42] Speaker 1: this is not for our show. But I just let
[23:44] Speaker 1: her do it because that's my mama, right. But it's
[23:46] Speaker 1: like twenty seven messages. We're not talking about this and
[23:50] Speaker 1: this is not real.
[23:51] Speaker 2: My mom al will send me something, go you should
[23:52] Speaker 2: have this person on the show. And I'm like, what
[23:54] Speaker 2: kind of people that she send you? It'll be like
[23:57] Speaker 2: an old woman that's just twirling a dress. And I'm like, mom, wamma,
[24:03] Speaker 2: does similar this person know image?
[24:05] Speaker 1: Or somebody's just like I hate man. This would be
[24:08] Speaker 1: good for your show, she said, And I'm like, girl,
[24:12] Speaker 1: who is this.
[24:14] Speaker 2: I'll just be.
[24:14] Speaker 4: Looking like mom, what are you talking to?
[24:16] Speaker 2: Mom? And be like, what do you think about having
[24:18] Speaker 2: more people like Elizabeth Gilbert on the show? And I
[24:20] Speaker 2: was like, Mom, do you know how many people we've
[24:23] Speaker 2: had on the like we've had we what are you
[24:26] Speaker 2: talking about?
[24:27] Speaker 1: Like, I just don't know what's're the end goal here?
[24:29] Speaker 1: What's the end game?
[24:30] Speaker 2: And I know she'd be trying to help because I'm
[24:31] Speaker 2: gonna be talking about growth. And I'm like, when I
[24:34] Speaker 2: was reading in my journal, girl, there was a journal
[24:36] Speaker 2: entry that I have where I was talking about cocktails,
[24:37] Speaker 2: and I was like, me and Keiky are doing good,
[24:39] Speaker 2: but we don't see no growth in the show. And
[24:41] Speaker 2: then we've had conversations where it's like bro, m hm,
[24:46] Speaker 2: and I was like, and it is twenty twenty four
[24:48] Speaker 2: and I was like, and so my mom was like,
[24:50] Speaker 2: what if you have this person? I was like, this
[24:52] Speaker 2: isn't gonna help. Like, you know, I don't be.
[24:54] Speaker 1: Going through my journal, but I love the memories that
[24:58] Speaker 1: pop up on your phone. I'm looking at the videos
[25:00] Speaker 1: and sometimes I'll just if a time period pops up
[25:04] Speaker 1: in my life or I think about somebody from my past,
[25:07] Speaker 1: like when were we really hanging out? When was like
[25:10] Speaker 1: a good time or a rough time, doesn't matter. I
[25:13] Speaker 1: will scroll back and look, and when I watch some
[25:16] Speaker 1: of the videos, I'm just like, huh, this is my
[25:19] Speaker 1: real journal. The random stuff I would take sometimes I
[25:23] Speaker 1: wouldn't write stuff down because, like I said before, I
[25:25] Speaker 1: lose it or I throw it away or it gets damaged.
[25:29] Speaker 1: I would just take my phone out and just record
[25:31] Speaker 1: myself and my thoughts and like it just like a
[25:35] Speaker 1: video journal.
[25:36] Speaker 2: I saw an Instagram post and I absolutely loved it,
[25:38] Speaker 2: and I copied her, and the girl did a video
[25:40] Speaker 2: of her past self.
[25:41] Speaker 4: She's like, hey, girl, where are we at?
[25:43] Speaker 2: What are we doing? Did we get over such and such?
[25:45] Speaker 4: Are we marryed? Do we have a baby? What happened
[25:46] Speaker 4: with that job?
[25:47] Speaker 2: And it's like like if you did it now and
[25:48] Speaker 2: then when you get to like the next year, and
[25:50] Speaker 2: then you're should go back and answer the questions like okay,
[25:53] Speaker 2: so let me tell you we're not depressed anymore. We're not,
[25:56] Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Like this is what we got.
[25:58] Speaker 2: We paid off our car to me like it was
[26:02] Speaker 2: so I said, oh my gosh, I love that.
[26:05] Speaker 1: That's a good idea. I'm gonna have to try that. Yeah.
[26:09] Speaker 1: I was looking through videos. I was looking at the
[26:13] Speaker 1: stress in my face, my hair, my eyebrows, my nails
[26:20] Speaker 1: or lack thereof looking at the people I was around
[26:25] Speaker 1: where I was at, like who's I hanging out with
[26:27] Speaker 1: What was I doing? Is this my I'm only going
[26:29] Speaker 1: to restaurant era. It was funny because just this past weekend,
[26:33] Speaker 1: my friend's husband was in town and he hit me
[26:36] Speaker 1: up on Instagram and he was like, Hey, Kiki, I'm
[26:40] Speaker 1: in Atlanta for the weekend. What's some good spots I
[26:44] Speaker 1: should go. I said, ooh, baby, I don't know. I'm
[26:48] Speaker 1: so sorry you trying to go eat or you trying
[26:50] Speaker 1: to turn up? And he was like, I just want
[26:52] Speaker 1: to go like some clubs or lounges. I said, I
[26:55] Speaker 1: don't even know. You should have told me you was coming.
[26:58] Speaker 1: I would have asked some other people that would no
[27:00] Speaker 1: and could have hooked you up. But like, this is
[27:03] Speaker 1: last minute. I didn't even see your message. You sent
[27:05] Speaker 1: it at seven pm. I was in the bed. Saturday
[27:08] Speaker 1: is my day. I like to nap and do whatever
[27:09] Speaker 1: the hell I feel like doing. And I nap all
[27:12] Speaker 1: day so I can stay up and watch from at
[27:15] Speaker 1: midnight when it's released. And I fell asleep that day
[27:18] Speaker 1: because I was just so tired. Last week was taxing.
[27:23] Speaker 1: For reference, today is Tuesday, November twelve.
[27:26] Speaker 4: I was out of the country.
[27:28] Speaker 1: You were what a blessing last week, tornadoes came to
[27:35] Speaker 1: Atlanta to my home, and we're swirling through by way
[27:39] Speaker 1: of text messages. Oh.
[27:41] Speaker 2: I was like, I didn't know what tornado.
[27:43] Speaker 1: You were looking like, bitch. I missed that news report
[27:47] Speaker 1: and I was skint weird sex because we don't need
[27:48] Speaker 1: to talk about that. We're just chatting today. Okay. We've
[27:51] Speaker 1: got guests coming for the next episode and some other stuff,
[27:54] Speaker 1: so we've got some things to share, and we're trying
[27:57] Speaker 1: to be vulnerable right there. Tornadoes coming left and right,
[28:02] Speaker 1: from sea to Shining Sea, from the East coast to
[28:06] Speaker 1: the west coast, up north, down south. It was just everywhere.
[28:09] Speaker 1: And I was just like, I just can't take it.
[28:13] Speaker 1: I won't go through what I was preaching about for
[28:15] Speaker 1: a long time. But there were other things going on too,
[28:17] Speaker 1: and I was just like, I am drained and every way,
[28:22] Speaker 1: and I kept I was answering phone calls. I was
[28:25] Speaker 1: abruptly leaving them. I was a goddamn mess. Okay, it
[28:28] Speaker 1: was a wreck. If this was a TV show, this
[28:31] Speaker 1: would have been great if I just started. And then
[28:35] Speaker 1: I did start writing down. I went on Amazon, and
[28:38] Speaker 1: I went to Target, and I bought several journals and
[28:41] Speaker 1: other like notepaths and stuff, and I was like, I'm
[28:43] Speaker 1: keeping these in a box. I have a container work
[28:45] Speaker 1: and keep it. It ain't fireproof, so I hope I don't
[28:47] Speaker 1: nothing burn down because it is very much rubber made, plastic,
[28:50] Speaker 1: rubber shit. Anyway, I was like, I'm just gonna write
[28:53] Speaker 1: down all these things, all these things that I'm feeling,
[28:55] Speaker 1: take these screenshots of these pictures. I got screenshots, receipts,
[28:59] Speaker 1: proof everything. Because so much life has happened in the
[29:03] Speaker 1: span of the past two weeks. I've got to use
[29:06] Speaker 1: this for something. Last time I had a moment like this,
[29:09] Speaker 1: you know what happened. Cocktails was born, So I know
[29:12] Speaker 1: I'm on the brink of something.
[29:14] Speaker 2: H come.
[29:15] Speaker 1: I'm just gonna.
[29:17] Speaker 2: When we.
[29:20] Speaker 1: Oh the idea try to come out too early. It's
[29:24] Speaker 1: not ready yet. Okay.
[29:27] Speaker 2: You know when we were like talking on the shone
[29:29] Speaker 2: and we're like I was going through this and I
[29:30] Speaker 2: was going through that, and normally we're like, we're normally
[29:33] Speaker 2: like open about dating and relationships. Do you are you
[29:36] Speaker 2: ever like I want to tell y'all what I'm going through,
[29:38] Speaker 2: but never mind, Yes, Okay, That's what I was thinking,
[29:43] Speaker 2: because I was like, I didn't want to tell the
[29:45] Speaker 2: listeners because I do think like when you're an open person,
[29:47] Speaker 2: like I'm pretty open. But it's so interesting because I
[29:51] Speaker 2: think we're at a point now where it's like when
[29:54] Speaker 2: you receive enough, like we said, like people be negative
[29:59] Speaker 2: in me pain opinions and you'd be like. One thing
[30:02] Speaker 2: I don't like about the Internet is like people people
[30:07] Speaker 2: try to act like in the comments, you haven't been
[30:10] Speaker 2: through some life. I don't even care if I know
[30:12] Speaker 2: you or not. Everybody has been through something, and you'll
[30:14] Speaker 2: continue to go through different things come out.
[30:16] Speaker 4: Or not come out.
[30:18] Speaker 2: And it's really interesting because I was thinking about it.
[30:19] Speaker 2: I was like, do we open up to the listeners
[30:21] Speaker 2: about like these moments, and then I was like, yeah, no,
[30:25] Speaker 2: I will I feel you.
[30:27] Speaker 1: I'll say for me something that I've been trying to
[30:30] Speaker 1: be more conscious of. Sometimes I do want to share stuff,
[30:34] Speaker 1: but I have a habit that I would like to break.
[30:38] Speaker 1: It happens in my real life on the show oversharing,
[30:42] Speaker 1: but not just oversharing sharing, and it's like you're not
[30:48] Speaker 1: the only person in the story, and you sharing this
[30:53] Speaker 1: experience is changing somebody's view of other people or another person.
[31:00] Speaker 1: It's not just your business. This isn't about people you've
[31:04] Speaker 1: thrown away. Now, if you're a throwaway, I will say
[31:07] Speaker 1: it because girl fuck you or boyfuck you whatever, Like
[31:10] Speaker 1: I'm done, I don't.
[31:10] Speaker 2: Know much like that. It's gonna include somebody else's business, but.
[31:13] Speaker 1: I mean not their business. It's my life. But it's
[31:16] Speaker 1: an interaction that happened with somebody else, so I don't.
[31:20] Speaker 1: I guess my point is, whenever I'm sharing stuff that
[31:22] Speaker 1: I may be going through my life, maybe it has
[31:24] Speaker 1: to do with an interaction or another relationship that I have,
[31:29] Speaker 1: And when I'm sharing it may be coming from frustration.
[31:34] Speaker 1: And when it's coming from frustration, it feels like venting
[31:38] Speaker 1: and now it's tainting. But of course, because I'm in
[31:41] Speaker 1: my motive, I want to share this just from my perspective.
[31:44] Speaker 1: I don't care about looking at everybody's perspective because this
[31:46] Speaker 1: is how I see it. If I'm really being trying
[31:49] Speaker 1: to get to a point of help and not entertain
[31:51] Speaker 1: and talk shit or whatever, then we can look at
[31:53] Speaker 1: the other person and how they may feel, but they're
[31:55] Speaker 1: not here so it doesn't matter. And being more aware
[32:01] Speaker 1: of how that affects other people affects what I want
[32:05] Speaker 1: to share because sometimes it's like it's a moment and
[32:08] Speaker 1: it could be fleeting and I just want to let
[32:10] Speaker 1: it out. But it's like, even though it feels like
[32:12] Speaker 1: a journal, or it has felt like a journal, at
[32:15] Speaker 1: some point, it's like, but it's an open journal that
[32:17] Speaker 1: other people get to see, and it's hurting people. So
[32:21] Speaker 1: do you really want to hurt somebody because you feeling
[32:23] Speaker 1: frustrated right now? Maybe, but maybe not that part. And
[32:30] Speaker 1: then yes, the outside opinions and everybody trying to preach
[32:34] Speaker 1: to you like they know a fool anything. It's like
[32:36] Speaker 1: nobody knows anything but me. It's my life. Everybody only
[32:40] Speaker 1: knows what they witness or what I choose to share.
[32:44] Speaker 1: And then it's still an outside person looking in, you know.
[32:48] Speaker 2: So it's like hard, It is hard, but I'll be
[32:51] Speaker 2: wanting to know, like to do other people go through
[32:55] Speaker 2: this like without saying what happened? Remember when we talked
[32:58] Speaker 2: the other day and I was crying, I told you
[33:00] Speaker 2: what I told you, and it was like I thought
[33:02] Speaker 2: about it and I wrote about it, and I've spoken
[33:05] Speaker 2: to other people about what I told you, and it
[33:08] Speaker 2: was so interesting how many people said, oh my gosh,
[33:11] Speaker 2: like I would never, like, I would never even tell
[33:15] Speaker 2: anybody that I've done that same thing. And I was like,
[33:20] Speaker 2: and it would be certain I'm sitting here saying I
[33:21] Speaker 2: don't like the people like I didn't think and I
[33:23] Speaker 2: didn't I would never say it out loud, but in
[33:24] Speaker 2: my mind, I was like, oh my gosh. Like one
[33:27] Speaker 2: of my girlfriends she told me she was like a girl.
[33:31] Speaker 2: She was like one time in life got really bad
[33:34] Speaker 2: and I went to a mental institution. I was I
[33:36] Speaker 2: was this close to checking myself in and I was
[33:39] Speaker 2: sitting there.
[33:39] Speaker 1: Like, really, did I know you then?
[33:43] Speaker 2: I knew her then, And just like the amount of
[33:45] Speaker 2: people that go through so many things and you really
[33:48] Speaker 2: do feel like you're alone when you're really not. Yeah,
[33:53] Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Like so I wasn't more
[33:55] Speaker 2: I more so was just talking about like sometimes I
[33:58] Speaker 2: do wonder with our listeners, like I've gotten very vulnerable
[34:02] Speaker 2: with like relationships, stuffs, definitely, sex, definitely booty holes, and
[34:06] Speaker 2: when it comes to like sometimes mental health, what you're
[34:11] Speaker 2: going through, what you're actually going through. I don't open
[34:15] Speaker 2: up about that part and most people don't, and it's like,
[34:18] Speaker 2: but you don't really know, like who you could be helping,
[34:20] Speaker 2: but it's a very thin line.
[34:22] Speaker 1: It is because it's like you want to help somebody,
[34:24] Speaker 1: but it's like, I recognize I'm too fragile because I
[34:27] Speaker 1: cannot handle any opinions, any critiques, any any feedback that
[34:33] Speaker 1: isn't uplifting. The smallest thing could break me. And I
[34:37] Speaker 1: am not willing to put myself on the line to
[34:40] Speaker 1: be totally broken, to be at the point where I
[34:44] Speaker 1: can't be here anymore. So I'm taking myself out or
[34:48] Speaker 1: I am scared of what I would do to myself,
[34:51] Speaker 1: so I have to check myself in. I'm not willing
[34:53] Speaker 1: to do that for a podcast.
[34:55] Speaker 2: When Kid Fury talked about it, so I really thought
[34:58] Speaker 2: it was admirable. Remember when he I listened, Remember people
[35:03] Speaker 2: were posting about it, and he was really like, I'm
[35:04] Speaker 2: not about to do this with you, like I can't.
[35:06] Speaker 2: I'm going through mental stuff and I gotta go.
[35:08] Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. I feel it. And I got eight nails.
[35:11] Speaker 1: But yes, when he did that, well not well eight
[35:15] Speaker 1: he came out. Okay, when he did that, I thought
[35:18] Speaker 1: it was so admirable.
[35:20] Speaker 4: Oh my god.
[35:20] Speaker 1: And I was so shocked because not because I couldn't
[35:27] Speaker 1: see it happening, right, But because even in this state,
[35:33] Speaker 1: you're still sharing. And because I listened to that show
[35:37] Speaker 1: and they've talked a lot about mental health for years
[35:40] Speaker 1: and years. I mean, Chrystal went to school to study
[35:43] Speaker 1: psychology to help and she's been through her own thing.
[35:47] Speaker 1: If you've never listened to the read, you miss it out,
[35:49] Speaker 1: please listen. But it's just like you still were brave
[35:55] Speaker 1: enough to share that. And I don't know if it
[36:00] Speaker 1: was something he felt like would help him, because sometimes
[36:03] Speaker 1: you do things so it's like you can't get help,
[36:05] Speaker 1: you can't get that, or if he just was like, oh, well,
[36:10] Speaker 1: I know that this could help somebody something in the
[36:12] Speaker 1: back of your head. I think it's admirable.
[36:15] Speaker 4: Yeah, wild, that was wild. I was talking to my
[36:17] Speaker 4: aunt too weak.
[36:19] Speaker 2: I'm a lit two week I'm working on getting stronger.
[36:21] Speaker 2: I was talking to my aunt and.
[36:25] Speaker 4: She was telling me. She was like, I want you
[36:27] Speaker 4: to remember something.
[36:28] Speaker 2: She was like, even when you ask people for advice,
[36:30] Speaker 2: or when you're talking to people and people give you
[36:32] Speaker 2: unsolicited advice or their opinions or whatever. Everybody. I am
[36:37] Speaker 2: pretty open with most things on the show, but then
[36:40] Speaker 2: like in my outside world, I don't mind letting you
[36:42] Speaker 2: know what the people that are close to me, or
[36:44] Speaker 2: if it's going to affect you, like what I got
[36:47] Speaker 2: going on, and because that's important. It's like that's fair.
[36:51] Speaker 2: And my aunt was like, but you have to remember
[36:53] Speaker 2: everybody's all like that. And she was like, people are
[36:55] Speaker 2: going to tell you. People are not going to tell
[37:00] Speaker 2: you the worst of the worst and the best of
[37:03] Speaker 2: the best. They're going to tell you somewhere someplace in
[37:05] Speaker 2: the middle. And she was like, you always have to
[37:07] Speaker 2: remember that. So when people are it's almost like when
[37:09] Speaker 2: you ask somebody for advice or you tell somebody what
[37:11] Speaker 2: you're going through and then they're like, well, this is
[37:12] Speaker 2: probably what you do, and it's like, yeah, but you've
[37:15] Speaker 2: been through some rough moments too. When you're not you
[37:17] Speaker 2: didn't do what you're telling me to do right now,
[37:19] Speaker 2: it's more so you do it just feels good. Sometimes
[37:21] Speaker 2: it just feels good to be in the position to
[37:22] Speaker 2: give somebody advice, if that makes sense, where you're not
[37:25] Speaker 2: really you're not giving the advice from a space where
[37:28] Speaker 2: it's like letting me know I've been there too.
[37:31] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[37:31] Speaker 2: And my aunt said that it was just like she
[37:33] Speaker 2: was like, I just want you to know even me.
[37:34] Speaker 2: She's like, I'm not going to tell you the worst
[37:35] Speaker 2: of the worst that has happened in my relationship or
[37:37] Speaker 2: the best of the best. I'm going to find what.
[37:39] Speaker 4: Makes sense to tell you.
[37:40] Speaker 2: So remember to like make your try to make your
[37:44] Speaker 2: own decisions. And it goes back to like what we
[37:46] Speaker 2: were talking about on last week's episode with Veronica, that
[37:49] Speaker 2: wholeness and how sometimes it comes back up in this
[37:52] Speaker 2: weird way where you thought you were whole and you weren't,
[37:56] Speaker 2: and different things point that out in you or bring
[37:59] Speaker 2: it out there, and it's just a constant. It is
[38:02] Speaker 2: just a constant work. That is really.
[38:06] Speaker 1: I take to look at yourself, at every piece of
[38:09] Speaker 1: yourself that you can't cover up and hide and mask
[38:12] Speaker 1: or any of that is difficult. I get what you
[38:14] Speaker 1: mean about, oh, people won't come from a certain place.
[38:17] Speaker 1: Sometimes I like to remind people because I get what
[38:20] Speaker 1: you mean. I don't know how to say it either,
[38:22] Speaker 1: but I get what you mean. Because sometimes I find
[38:25] Speaker 1: when I'm giving advice, I if I do offer advice,
[38:29] Speaker 1: because sometimes I'm like, oo, girl, I don't know, and
[38:32] Speaker 1: that's it. I don't have nothing for you. But when
[38:35] Speaker 1: I do give somebody advice, whether I've been through it
[38:38] Speaker 1: or not. Sure, Sometimes I'm giving advice and I did
[38:41] Speaker 1: not make that decision. Now I've been trying to make
[38:46] Speaker 1: sure I say I've been through that I didn't do it.
[38:48] Speaker 1: I wish I would have done this. Maybe you could
[38:50] Speaker 1: try this because this is what I'm seeing, or I
[38:52] Speaker 1: think this might work better for you and what you want.
[38:55] Speaker 1: But when I give advice, chill out weekly. That's why
[38:59] Speaker 1: I was but it's just kind of stuff. But whenever
[39:05] Speaker 1: I am giving advice, if I take the time to
[39:08] Speaker 1: think about what you're saying and listen to you and
[39:11] Speaker 1: give you advice, whether you're a listener or friend, anybody,
[39:15] Speaker 1: I am honestly going to look out for what I
[39:18] Speaker 1: think is your best interest, not what I want, not
[39:21] Speaker 1: what I just want for you. And I wish you
[39:22] Speaker 1: would change your life and be like this, But I
[39:24] Speaker 1: really try to give advice for what I think that
[39:27] Speaker 1: you need based on what you've shared with what you
[39:30] Speaker 1: want now the listeners, it's only so much. That's why
[39:32] Speaker 1: sometimes i'd be wanting a little bit more detail. It's hard,
[39:35] Speaker 1: but people in my life it's like, Okay, well you
[39:37] Speaker 1: said this, and you said this and I'm trying to
[39:38] Speaker 1: pull it all together because I really do care, and
[39:41] Speaker 1: I don't make great decisions. Sometimes I know I'm making
[39:44] Speaker 1: a bad decision. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I do it
[39:46] Speaker 1: for the fun of it. I get bored and I've
[39:48] Speaker 1: got to find a new hobby. But other times it's
[39:51] Speaker 1: like let people know that, because maybe when you don't,
[39:57] Speaker 1: it gives them the the wrong idea about where you're
[40:02] Speaker 1: coming from. And it's all in coming with an overall
[40:06] Speaker 1: theme of being more vulnerable. You got to share that.
[40:08] Speaker 1: Maybe don't want to share that. I know sometimes I
[40:10] Speaker 1: want to share shit with people. I don't know how
[40:14] Speaker 1: they'll take it. I don't know how they'll perceive me.
[40:17] Speaker 1: I don't often think about looking weak because I've looked
[40:19] Speaker 1: weak in front of people for so long. Really, yes,
[40:25] Speaker 1: really absolutely, And it's just like, oh well, I mean,
[40:31] Speaker 1: like you've seen me in some pretty shitty but I.
[40:33] Speaker 2: Think that's it's important when like you look at your community.
[40:37] Speaker 2: I was talking to my sister about some other day,
[40:38] Speaker 2: because sometimes you need the people around you to remind you,
[40:41] Speaker 2: like like in your weak moments, like really to like
[40:45] Speaker 2: to to talk your ship for you, because I want
[40:48] Speaker 2: to tell you, little Massy. I am so proud of
[40:51] Speaker 2: you for this new job, and you are proud of yourself.
[40:55] Speaker 2: I know it, don't be nerves, have the nerves, but Kiki,
[40:58] Speaker 2: when I tell you, are more than worthy and capable
[41:01] Speaker 2: of doing whatever it is that you're doing for the
[41:05] Speaker 2: show and making it pop, just like cocktails. I've been
[41:08] Speaker 2: reading Power Moves by Sarah Jakes and she talks about how,
[41:12] Speaker 2: like how you can be powerful in one area, like
[41:14] Speaker 2: in this arena, you're powerful, and you can take that
[41:17] Speaker 2: same power and apply it to what you're doing now
[41:19] Speaker 2: and make it top, make it, make it pop twenty
[41:22] Speaker 2: one more time, I hope.
[41:23] Speaker 1: So you had a budget, so it's gonna be so much.
[41:25] Speaker 4: Who's got it?
[41:27] Speaker 2: You about to be the standout, a standout.
[41:31] Speaker 1: But it's scary, like anything new for me is always scary,
[41:35] Speaker 1: doesn't matter what it is. And I'm like, how many
[41:38] Speaker 1: times have I been on the brink of something like
[41:41] Speaker 1: this and talked myself out of it? I know what's
[41:45] Speaker 1: happened before, and it took some confidence. I'll tell you this.
[41:49] Speaker 1: We were having a budget meeting. You were having a
[41:52] Speaker 1: one a budget meeting, okay, and I wasn't quite sure
[41:57] Speaker 1: how things you're going to go, or like who's who's
[42:00] Speaker 1: leading this meeting? Who's supposed to do what? How does
[42:03] Speaker 1: this work?
[42:03] Speaker 2: Like?
[42:03] Speaker 1: This is very different. It has been so long since
[42:07] Speaker 1: I have worked in like a professional setting with new people.
[42:14] Speaker 1: I was gonna say something shady. It just comes so naturally.
[42:17] Speaker 2: I won't.
[42:20] Speaker 1: Said, see y'all see me working on me. It has
[42:24] Speaker 1: been so long and it's very different. So anyway, we
[42:28] Speaker 1: got to have this budget meeting.
[42:29] Speaker 2: I was stressed, stressed because you didn't know if you
[42:33] Speaker 2: have the knowledge to do it or.
[42:35] Speaker 1: I knew I had to, but I was like, is
[42:36] Speaker 1: this good enough? Is this going to be right? Am
[42:40] Speaker 1: I going to be thorough enough? So I was stressed, stressed, stressed,
[42:48] Speaker 1: And then I was trying not to let anybody know
[42:49] Speaker 1: I was stressed because I didn't want anybody to rethink things.
[42:51] Speaker 1: And this is still a contract size, so I'm still nervous,
[42:54] Speaker 1: like they can be like never mind. So someone sends
[42:58] Speaker 1: me like what they have been working on and I
[43:01] Speaker 1: was like, oh, this is very different than what I have,
[43:06] Speaker 1: and that nothing was wrong with what she did. It
[43:09] Speaker 1: was just like, Okay, I'm stressed about stuff I'm putting
[43:12] Speaker 1: in formulas and shit, and this is like very straight
[43:14] Speaker 1: into the point. Maybe I'm doing too much. Then I
[43:16] Speaker 1: have another meeting at the radio and there's something about
[43:20] Speaker 1: somebody was telling somebody else they were doing too much.
[43:22] Speaker 1: Then I was like in my head about it and
[43:24] Speaker 1: was overthinking, and I was like, fuck it, stop, just
[43:27] Speaker 1: do how how would you want it to be done?
[43:30] Speaker 1: If this was your thing and you were the big boss,
[43:34] Speaker 1: what would you want somebody to present to you? Do
[43:36] Speaker 1: that and stay in that and if it's not right,
[43:38] Speaker 1: they gonna tell you. And if it is right.
[43:41] Speaker 4: You can relax.
[43:43] Speaker 1: But I was still nervous. Do you know that meeting
[43:45] Speaker 1: was all of six minutes long. I was prepared for
[43:48] Speaker 1: an hour. I've been stressing. I was practicing the mirror.
[43:50] Speaker 1: I was going to talk about stuff, how to justify stuff.
[43:52] Speaker 1: I'd done all this stuff. I figured out all these
[43:54] Speaker 1: fucking formulas. From sheet to sheet. I had formulas going
[43:58] Speaker 1: where if I change the number all sheet one that
[44:00] Speaker 1: I hadn't renamed, it was gonna change on the last sheet.
[44:04] Speaker 1: It had notes things was color code. I mean, I
[44:07] Speaker 1: was a I was an excel mama, okay, And I
[44:12] Speaker 1: got a D in a county and I took business
[44:15] Speaker 1: laws three times, never passed, so I had to change
[44:17] Speaker 1: my minor. So it was just he was like, everything
[44:21] Speaker 1: looks great. It looks great, and I was like, kidd
[44:24] Speaker 1: it be why were you doing that to yourself? But
[44:27] Speaker 1: that's me. But it also reminded me I feel the
[44:30] Speaker 1: same way. I remember when we had our first live show.
[44:32] Speaker 1: I cried sitting on the side of the stage, and
[44:34] Speaker 1: I was like, bitch, what you crying for. It's time
[44:36] Speaker 1: to go out there. You got to mess up your makeup.
[44:38] Speaker 1: You don't got your makeup done. BARKI would beat the
[44:39] Speaker 1: fuck out of both of our faces, and I'm about
[44:41] Speaker 1: to cry. But I was just like, you know, you
[44:43] Speaker 1: can think about something, you can dream about something, but
[44:45] Speaker 1: when it happens, the nerves. But it was like it
[44:49] Speaker 1: was appreciative tears, but I was still nervous and I
[44:51] Speaker 1: didn't have a voice. That was a time, but I
[44:53] Speaker 1: always get nervous. But it lets me know I'm excited.
[44:56] Speaker 1: It's like an anxious and a positive way. But that
[45:01] Speaker 1: is so uncomfortable and it's hard to tell people that.
[45:03] Speaker 1: And it's like I can't tell other than that. I mean,
[45:05] Speaker 1: they're gonna hear it. Now, but I could tell them
[45:08] Speaker 1: I was nervous.
[45:09] Speaker 4: And scared because they listened to the show. Oh I
[45:12] Speaker 4: love that.
[45:12] Speaker 1: That's how they found me.
[45:14] Speaker 4: Love it.
[45:15] Speaker 1: And so it's just like, ah, but it's it's nice.
[45:19] Speaker 1: It's nice to feel like you can do something in
[45:22] Speaker 1: a creative, creative space that's different, you can still do it.
[45:27] Speaker 1: It's like, Okay, you're not on one trick, phoney, you
[45:29] Speaker 1: can't do something else. Stop being scared, because I'd be
[45:31] Speaker 1: scared of everything, y'all everything, And I hate that for me,
[45:35] Speaker 1: but it's part of it. I'm sure many people can relate.
[45:38] Speaker 1: It's hard. It's and like being in rooms with people
[45:43] Speaker 1: who like I already follow you on Instagram. I know
[45:46] Speaker 1: who you are. I've looked you up on LinkedIn, vide
[45:48] Speaker 1: live times, let me take hognito windows.
[45:51] Speaker 2: I had a moment like this kicking and I literally
[45:53] Speaker 2: was like, so, y'all know, I've been going to live
[45:58] Speaker 2: Atlanta and I joined a church group to of them.
[46:00] Speaker 2: One of them is an arts and craft one, which
[46:01] Speaker 2: is so much I've only been able to make it in.
[46:04] Speaker 4: One group, and this was last week.
[46:05] Speaker 2: But I made we made little reefs like for the
[46:07] Speaker 2: door handles and the other one that I go to,
[46:09] Speaker 2: it's a business it's a business group, and I go
[46:11] Speaker 2: every money and when I tell you, I love it,
[46:13] Speaker 2: I love them people down and it has just been
[46:15] Speaker 2: such a great experience and a different type of community.
[46:18] Speaker 2: But the Arts and Craft one I went and immediately
[46:22] Speaker 2: like we started talking about like things that we were
[46:25] Speaker 2: going through and like I'm like, I'm just going to
[46:27] Speaker 2: be an open book here and like in moments in
[46:30] Speaker 2: areas like that, it's just like there's so many different
[46:33] Speaker 2: medinas like and they're all me but you just if
[46:36] Speaker 2: it's a depending on the space, you just don't know
[46:40] Speaker 2: what is really which one you're gonna get. And so
[46:43] Speaker 2: they got like the vulnerable media like I'm saying like
[46:46] Speaker 2: exactly what I'm going through and just like it feels
[46:49] Speaker 2: so good to be around this community. And one of
[46:50] Speaker 2: the girls was like I listened to the show and
[46:52] Speaker 2: I was like.
[46:53] Speaker 1: At church, is that how you're feeling?
[46:56] Speaker 3: No.
[46:56] Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, how I'm sitting here
[46:58] Speaker 2: like I'm not going to tell them the thing and
[47:00] Speaker 2: it's like.
[47:02] Speaker 4: Person, please be It was just like a moment where like.
[47:09] Speaker 2: Oh the fear sometimes it'd be in me because of
[47:14] Speaker 2: because of the show. Honestly, like when you get into
[47:17] Speaker 2: the real world of just like I don't like I'm
[47:20] Speaker 2: not like attention. It's not an attention, it's the assumptions.
[47:24] Speaker 2: And I think that's weird to do. I don't do
[47:26] Speaker 2: that to people. I don't even look at Beyonce and
[47:28] Speaker 2: assume that she doesn't have problems or struggles just because
[47:30] Speaker 2: she's Beyonce. And I think that people just like how
[47:33] Speaker 2: we've been saying in last week's episode, the internet is
[47:37] Speaker 2: not real, Like everybody's showing you what we're what we
[47:42] Speaker 2: would like to show you. You don't know what we
[47:45] Speaker 2: cry about. You don't know what we're struggling with. You
[47:47] Speaker 2: don't know what our prayers are. You don't know what
[47:48] Speaker 2: dreams didn't come true. You know what I mean. And
[47:50] Speaker 2: so like when you really let that wall down and
[47:52] Speaker 2: let somebody know who knows you is different because they
[47:54] Speaker 2: do be Like that's not if you don't know Mandina
[47:56] Speaker 2: and Kiki outside of cocktails. You don't know who they
[47:59] Speaker 2: really are, the essence of them. Not that we're faking it,
[48:01] Speaker 2: but it's just different.
[48:03] Speaker 1: It's like very focused on one little piece. Yeah that
[48:07] Speaker 1: is amplified, but it's like, do you all think that
[48:09] Speaker 1: we go home and talk about this all day? Like, no,
[48:11] Speaker 1: We're not having gender wars at all. No, I'm looking
[48:14] Speaker 1: at puppy videos and Neville Goddard and trying to learn
[48:20] Speaker 1: about conscious and subconscious. I am listening to high frequency
[48:23] Speaker 1: vibrations for ADHD.
[48:25] Speaker 2: So I am making our Pikes Place looking walking around
[48:28] Speaker 2: with the old white lady nursery. Yeah, I love just
[48:31] Speaker 2: walking around there. I'm not I have the club like
[48:34] Speaker 2: it's like, y'all.
[48:35] Speaker 1: When the people was asking me about the club, I'm like,
[48:37] Speaker 1: you haven't checked in. Your wife was just here. I
[48:40] Speaker 1: know she told you. We were in the house watching
[48:42] Speaker 1: from Eating Food.
[48:44] Speaker 2: I met a young lady shout out to Regina. She
[48:46] Speaker 2: listens to the show. She came to Iceland, and we
[48:48] Speaker 2: were when I'm on my retreats, I am very submerged
[48:51] Speaker 2: in the people because the type of people that are
[48:53] Speaker 2: attracted to my retreats, it just it makes so much sense.
[48:56] Speaker 2: And so we went out one night, not out out.
[48:59] Speaker 2: We were want to try some well and she was like,
[49:03] Speaker 2: we were in a We grabbed a taxi on the
[49:05] Speaker 2: way back and she was like, I just didn't think
[49:08] Speaker 2: you were going to be like this, and I was like,
[49:10] Speaker 2: what do you mean? She was like, like nice, and
[49:14] Speaker 2: I was like, I said, do I give off like
[49:17] Speaker 2: am I giving off the vibe and I'm not nice?
[49:19] Speaker 2: She was like no, but that's just how like the
[49:21] Speaker 2: Instagram people are. I didn't think you were gonna I
[49:23] Speaker 2: just didn't think you were going to be like this,
[49:25] Speaker 2: like you really want to be around us.
[49:26] Speaker 4: I was like, girl, I want friends, like I like connection.
[49:30] Speaker 2: I like listening to people's stories in a real way,
[49:33] Speaker 2: not to like I like to I like to connect,
[49:36] Speaker 2: and like, I want to know you. You want to
[49:37] Speaker 2: know me.
[49:37] Speaker 4: I want to know.
[49:38] Speaker 2: You, like what you're thinking? You happy on a scale
[49:42] Speaker 2: from one to day. How you feeling is that man
[49:44] Speaker 2: treated you right? Like I truly want to know that
[49:46] Speaker 2: about people, And so it feels so good when you
[49:49] Speaker 2: meet people like that and you get to really show
[49:51] Speaker 2: them your essence and so when sometimes when you do
[49:52] Speaker 2: it them, I wasn't expecting someone to be like I
[49:54] Speaker 2: listened to the show and it's like, please let me
[50:00] Speaker 2: tell y'all what she's really going through out here talking
[50:02] Speaker 2: to anyways. It was just it was just I've been
[50:05] Speaker 2: having just so many different moments in life where it's like,
[50:08] Speaker 2: one day I will tell y'all, I promise one day
[50:10] Speaker 2: when I get a little bit through some of it.
[50:13] Speaker 1: Well, I am promising, y'all know nothing. That's what you're
[50:15] Speaker 1: gonna get. I don't know, is y'all be like I'll
[50:19] Speaker 1: be trying to kick people in nuts and I don't
[50:21] Speaker 1: even have you know, It's just like, God, damn can
[50:25] Speaker 1: I breathe? Mm hmm makes you want to shut down,
[50:28] Speaker 1: but I ain't shut down yet. Yeah, it's hard. It's
[50:30] Speaker 1: hard opening up. I know people always say give people grace.
[50:36] Speaker 1: It sounds good, right, but maybe you should do it.
[50:38] Speaker 1: Maybe you should think about a time when you wish
[50:39] Speaker 1: somebody would have given you that, or maybe just outside
[50:43] Speaker 1: of that, think about like anyone that you love in
[50:48] Speaker 1: your life, any friend, any family member, and think about
[50:51] Speaker 1: when's the last time you called them without telling them
[50:53] Speaker 1: anything about your life. Not to be secretive, but so
[50:57] Speaker 1: that you can really talk to them and see what
[50:59] Speaker 1: they're going through. Maybe try that. I was talking to
[51:01] Speaker 1: a friend and he was venting to me about another
[51:05] Speaker 1: friend that he has, and he was like, he forgets
[51:08] Speaker 1: my birthday all the time every year, and it's always
[51:11] Speaker 1: an excuse it's never a oh, I'm sorry, I forgot.
[51:16] Speaker 1: It's well I forgot this person's too, and just like
[51:18] Speaker 1: very dismissive things like that. And it's like every time
[51:21] Speaker 1: you call me, you're in the car, so you're bored
[51:23] Speaker 1: because you're sitting in traffic. It's like you don't care.
[51:26] Speaker 1: Maybe if you do care about people and you found
[51:29] Speaker 1: who I do kind of do that thing. Maybe to
[51:32] Speaker 1: use this as a time to check in with people
[51:34] Speaker 1: and listen. Don't do it when you can't pay attention
[51:37] Speaker 1: and you're not open, but do it and like check
[51:39] Speaker 1: in on your people, whether you think that they're not
[51:42] Speaker 1: going through something or not. Sometimes people don't want to
[51:44] Speaker 1: just open up, but all it takes is to ask
[51:47] Speaker 1: and they are ready to share, but they think nobody cares.
[51:50] Speaker 1: So I would challenge you to do that. I can't
[51:52] Speaker 1: tell you how many times somebody has done that with me,
[51:54] Speaker 1: are you honestly, I'm not good? I do it in
[52:01] Speaker 1: five fucking weeks and I just I need to let
[52:04] Speaker 1: this out. And this probably isn't what you mean. You saught.
[52:05] Speaker 1: I was gonna say fine, but I'm not fine. I'm
[52:08] Speaker 1: not fine. Song. It's okay not to be okay. Is
[52:13] Speaker 1: that Andrew Day it's okay not to be okay? Somebody
[52:16] Speaker 1: from you? I can't sing, so I don't want to
[52:19] Speaker 1: her daw ears, But I don't know. Somebody says it's
[52:21] Speaker 1: okay not to be okay and they get a song
[52:23] Speaker 1: or is it just you Jay? I don't know. Now
[52:24] Speaker 1: I gotta look it up. I'm gonna listen to it
[52:25] Speaker 1: to look it up. It's a good song. If you're
[52:28] Speaker 1: going through song, listen to it. It's okay not to
[52:30] Speaker 1: be okay. I think she has a good message in there.
[52:32] Speaker 1: If not, like, just go to somebody else, but it'll
[52:35] Speaker 1: be in there during the time. Did we have an
[52:39] Speaker 1: advice we did?
[52:41] Speaker 2: Did you oh?
[52:41] Speaker 4: Did you want to do weird sex?
[52:43] Speaker 1: Or now I'm always gonna skip it. This week we
[52:44] Speaker 1: were just having a vulnerable moment.
[52:46] Speaker 2: We were okay, all right, y'all. We know that it's
[52:48] Speaker 2: cuffing season, or maybe cuffing season already started. The point
[52:53] Speaker 2: is I know that those little vaginas have been working
[52:55] Speaker 2: really hard and it's time to take it to the
[52:58] Speaker 2: spy ladies. Yes, spa, and I'm talking about VB health.
[53:03] Speaker 2: They are probiotics, prebiotics that you use for vaginal health.
[53:07] Speaker 2: And since we have a sex podcast, a sex positive podcast,
[53:11] Speaker 2: we always have to remind you ladies to take care
[53:15] Speaker 2: of those nannies whatever you want to call it, a
[53:17] Speaker 2: poor nani, a nanny, your little kiddie cat. You have
[53:20] Speaker 2: to take care of that thing. You got to make
[53:23] Speaker 2: sure that it's getting juicy, the right amount of juice,
[53:26] Speaker 2: you know what I mean. So you got to take
[53:28] Speaker 2: those probiotics and prebiotics. I absolutely love VB Health. They're affordable,
[53:32] Speaker 2: they are made by doctors. That always stands out to
[53:37] Speaker 2: me because vaginal health is very important and it's sensitive,
[53:40] Speaker 2: so you want to make sure that people creating it
[53:41] Speaker 2: know what they're doing exactly.
[53:43] Speaker 1: So if you want to make every encounter slipperier, sexier
[53:47] Speaker 1: and downright sensational, it's time to get soaking wet and
[53:52] Speaker 1: keep those good times coming. Literally and the best part.
[53:55] Speaker 1: Soaking Wet is formulated by medical doctors at VB Health.
[53:59] Speaker 1: So if you just visit it soaking wet dot com
[54:02] Speaker 1: and use code cocktails c O C K T A
[54:05] Speaker 1: L E S, you'll get ten percent off. Or you
[54:08] Speaker 1: can just click the link in the episode description below. Okay,
[54:39] Speaker 1: let me give y'all some advice real quick. Okay, So hey, ladies,
[54:43] Speaker 1: I love y'all so much, love you. Right back, About
[54:45] Speaker 1: a year ago, I joined this friendship group a romantic
[54:48] Speaker 1: interest someone he lived with. Uh, well, that's so many
[54:53] Speaker 1: and I'm confused. Okay, About a year ago, I joined
[54:57] Speaker 1: this friend group a romantic and he would maybe it
[55:02] Speaker 1: was he was helping out a romantic interest. I don't know.
[55:05] Speaker 1: Somebody's got a romantic interest. Comma, someone he lived with
[55:10] Speaker 1: parentheses Okay, wait, wait it's in the middle. Okay, a
[55:16] Speaker 1: romantic interest, someone he lived with, his brother and a girl.
[55:20] Speaker 1: That's the friend group. So the someone he lived with
[55:24] Speaker 1: is somebody he was helping out homel and then his
[55:27] Speaker 1: brother and the girl. But the girl is not the
[55:30] Speaker 1: brother's girlfriend. It's the homegirl. Okay, got it. They were right.
[55:34] Speaker 1: It's just I guess the way it was broken up.
[55:36] Speaker 1: I'm sorry, girl, I didn't mean to go off on
[55:37] Speaker 1: you like that. Anyway, we all had a great time together,
[55:42] Speaker 1: and I ended up matching homegirl with my romantic interests.
[55:46] Speaker 2: Brother.
[55:47] Speaker 1: Fast forward, I feel like with the person my romantic
[55:50] Speaker 1: interest was helping out who he was also sleeping with
[55:54] Speaker 1: that created a dent and I and my I guess
[55:59] Speaker 1: he in somebody's romantic interest relationship, so for a while
[56:04] Speaker 1: it was just me, my romantic interest brother, and homegirl Girl.
[56:08] Speaker 1: You should gave us some faction.
[56:09] Speaker 2: We were confused.
[56:11] Speaker 1: Okay, there were a lot of nuances in this relationship,
[56:15] Speaker 1: but I'll skip because I'm trying to keep this as
[56:17] Speaker 1: short as possible. Fast forward to Homegirl's birthday. She wanted
[56:23] Speaker 1: to invite my romantic interest, who I had not seen
[56:26] Speaker 1: in a long time and the one I fell out
[56:27] Speaker 1: with I wasn't cool with. But I wasn't cool with it,
[56:31] Speaker 1: but I decided to go along because she made my
[56:33] Speaker 1: birthday really special, so I wanted to do the same
[56:35] Speaker 1: for her. Here we go. This damn birthday is gonna
[56:39] Speaker 1: be the death of all friendships during the During the party,
[56:43] Speaker 1: she kissed my romantic interest and was very touchy philly
[56:47] Speaker 1: with him. She later said it was a game. My
[56:50] Speaker 1: romantic interest brother, who she was in a situationship with,
[56:55] Speaker 1: was not happy about this and cling to me for
[56:58] Speaker 1: the rest of the night to a rebound that quick.
[57:01] Speaker 1: I think it was trying to get with me. Since
[57:03] Speaker 1: this girl was moving mad, was moving mad weird. I guess,
[57:07] Speaker 1: but I was two in my head to notice the
[57:09] Speaker 1: signs till after the party. Probably too drunk too. Oh yeah,
[57:12] Speaker 1: that's where the confusion comes in. Fast forward. I fell out.
[57:16] Speaker 1: I fell out with my romantic interest brother and Homegirl.
[57:19] Speaker 1: Because it's some weak ass shit. I know what you're
[57:22] Speaker 1: gonna say, Why are you falling out with everybody? I
[57:24] Speaker 1: wasn't say, girl, what was he writing? But right, Okay,
[57:30] Speaker 1: I know the role I played in each of these fallouts.
[57:33] Speaker 1: I've sat with it and to have most of the work.
[57:35] Speaker 1: The takeaway was that they did not align with what
[57:38] Speaker 1: I wanted in France and they were too messy. Plus
[57:40] Speaker 1: Homegirl was a real bitch. Now to the advice, in
[57:46] Speaker 1: a couple of weeks, I've moved to a new city
[57:48] Speaker 1: with and my life will change for the better. I've
[57:51] Speaker 1: made so much progress in my looks, material things, career wise,
[57:56] Speaker 1: am I or in general? Well, I don't know if
[57:58] Speaker 1: or it's gonna go with those all right, girl, I'm
[58:01] Speaker 1: a ride with Jim, but I can't shake off the
[58:03] Speaker 1: thought of reaching out to my romantic interests. I'm not
[58:07] Speaker 1: looking for anything serious. I just want him to experience
[58:10] Speaker 1: me before I move, just for the plot. Are you
[58:12] Speaker 1: writing a movie or book?
[58:15] Speaker 4: Are you okay?
[58:16] Speaker 2: No?
[58:17] Speaker 1: I know if I text him he would want to
[58:19] Speaker 1: see me. Maybe this is the aries in me who
[58:22] Speaker 1: does not handle rejection. Well, well, absolutely, because girl, what
[58:27] Speaker 1: I feel like I need to have the last word.
[58:29] Speaker 1: I know he'll be in shock when he sees me
[58:31] Speaker 1: because the difference is very clear. You guys, some work done,
[58:34] Speaker 1: because that's what it's given. Because she said, that's all right,
[58:40] Speaker 1: you had your The plan is is get him hooked
[58:45] Speaker 1: and dipped. I know these thoughts are crazy, they are,
[58:48] Speaker 1: but I can't shake them off. What do I do?
[58:50] Speaker 1: By the way, I'm twenty four, so this ain't some
[58:52] Speaker 1: deep shit like that. For real, girl, let the shit go.
[58:55] Speaker 4: She's twenty four. She's gonna do it.
[58:57] Speaker 2: She is.
[58:57] Speaker 1: I don't know why you wrote in, and I don't
[58:59] Speaker 1: know when you sent this. Honestly, girl, what you want
[59:03] Speaker 1: to get your He played you at a party or
[59:05] Speaker 1: whatever was going on. I'm a little confused and he
[59:08] Speaker 1: just wasn't feeling you. And now you feel like, because
[59:10] Speaker 1: you're looking better, you wanna do to him what he
[59:13] Speaker 1: did you? And then what ask yourself that? And then what? Yeah,
[59:18] Speaker 1: you think he's gonna be laying away thinking about you.
[59:21] Speaker 2: I'm trying men don't work like that because I'm trying
[59:23] Speaker 2: to think about times when I wash she's twenty four,
[59:24] Speaker 2: she is gonna do it.
[59:25] Speaker 4: We know you're gonna do.
[59:26] Speaker 2: It is and I just don't know how you're gonna
[59:27] Speaker 2: be feeling out words because he gonna you're gonna have sex,
[59:30] Speaker 2: and he's gonna be like, that's what I wanted, right
[59:33] Speaker 2: for you perceive.
[59:34] Speaker 1: I just don't. I don't think you should do it
[59:36] Speaker 1: because I mean, I'm just gonna tell you what I
[59:38] Speaker 1: think you should hear. We got an idea what you're
[59:41] Speaker 1: gonna do or what you already did by this, but
[59:46] Speaker 1: I want you to sit with this. What were the
[59:49] Speaker 1: lasting effects of that interaction? And you're talking about your area.
[59:53] Speaker 1: That's kind of something other people got to see and
[59:56] Speaker 1: tell you what they think. Weally don't like it, and
[1:00:00] Speaker 1: she feels it. And she's a vibe checker because she's
[1:00:03] Speaker 1: not nice to everybody. She was nice to Alaska. She
[1:00:06] Speaker 1: was very excited to see Ben dating everybody today. But
[1:00:08] Speaker 1: somebody's vibe is throwing her off. And I think it's
[1:00:11] Speaker 1: this nigga you're trying to put that pussy on and
[1:00:13] Speaker 1: you need to stop because really don't like that. Like,
[1:00:16] Speaker 1: somebody delivered some stuff to the house today and she
[1:00:18] Speaker 1: was not feeling in but the maintenance man was there too,
[1:00:21] Speaker 1: and he's not normally there and she was nice to him,
[1:00:23] Speaker 1: and I was like, see she peeps vibes. It's some
[1:00:26] Speaker 1: people that she's seen that I've had dealings with in
[1:00:30] Speaker 1: the past, and she cannot stand them. And I said,
[1:00:34] Speaker 1: my girl knows. That's why sometimes she just gotta go
[1:00:36] Speaker 1: with me places because I need you to let me
[1:00:38] Speaker 1: know what's up. She ain't gonna do nothing. She's not
[1:00:41] Speaker 1: gonna fight, She's gonna run up and climb up my
[1:00:43] Speaker 1: arms and I've got to protect us both. But at
[1:00:45] Speaker 1: least she's gonna warn me, and she's trying to warn
[1:00:48] Speaker 1: you dogs be knowing.
[1:00:50] Speaker 2: The only advice I have for you, guess is do
[1:00:52] Speaker 2: what's gonna make you feel good. So that's gonna make
[1:00:55] Speaker 2: you feel good. Do it, y vibrator girl, and move
[1:00:59] Speaker 2: on with your life.
[1:01:00] Speaker 1: Anyway. If you guys want advice, you can email us
[1:01:02] Speaker 1: advice at cocktail spot dot com.
[1:01:05] Speaker 3: Uh uh, but it'm.
