[0:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Check one two, check one two.
[0:04] Speaker 2: Is this Mike on?
[0:05] Speaker 3: Is this Mike going?
[0:06] Speaker 2: Hey? Listen man, it's the one and only trunks that
[0:08] Speaker 2: the DJ system and you're listening to cocktails Dirty Discussions
[0:12] Speaker 2: with Kikia Medina Monroe. Here.
[0:19] Speaker 1: Today's cocktail is called the Thankful Margarita. It's November and
[0:23] Speaker 1: it's almost time for Thanksgiving. So maybe you'll be thankful
[0:26] Speaker 1: for your family, thankful for your blessings, thankful for the food,
[0:30] Speaker 1: or you'll be thankful you got some alcohol and a
[0:32] Speaker 1: good cocktail to wash it all down with. So what
[0:34] Speaker 1: you're gonna need for this cocktail is three ounces of tequila.
[0:38] Speaker 1: I have Teremuna reposada right here, and then you'll need
[0:42] Speaker 1: three ounces of Grandmaier, an ounce of lime juice, a
[0:47] Speaker 1: tablespoon of simple syrup, and some chill prosecco to top
[0:51] Speaker 1: it all off. So what you're going to do to
[0:52] Speaker 1: make this cocktail is take a cocktail shaker, fill it
[0:55] Speaker 1: with ice, and then we're gonna ask the three ounces
[0:59] Speaker 1: of tequila. I have had this shaker. I just realized
[1:03] Speaker 1: I I have the one from Rebell. I used to
[1:05] Speaker 1: work for Rebell, and I don't know Rebel does not
[1:08] Speaker 1: make alcohol, but y'all know a good red Bull and
[1:11] Speaker 1: vodka or Rebel and rum or Rebel in anything that
[1:16] Speaker 1: was pre espresso martini era, good times. I love this
[1:20] Speaker 1: little shaker. I'm gonna keep it as long as I can, Okay,
[1:22] Speaker 1: So three ounces of that. Then we'll add three ounces
[1:26] Speaker 1: of Gradmrinier. If you don't have Grandmarnier or control, using
[1:30] Speaker 1: just a triple sec is perfectly fine, okay. And then
[1:36] Speaker 1: we're going to add in a ounce of lime juice.
[1:42] Speaker 1: You ideally want to use fresh squeeze, but I don't
[1:45] Speaker 1: have time for all that today. It was one of
[1:47] Speaker 1: those days, y'all know how it goes. These little line
[1:51] Speaker 1: things were just fine. So an ounce of that. I
[1:56] Speaker 1: don't have any tablespoon measures, so I'm just gonna do
[1:59] Speaker 1: it like a That should be good enough. And then
[2:04] Speaker 1: you're gonna take this and we're gonna shake it. There's
[2:10] Speaker 1: no ice in this drink, so make sure you shake
[2:12] Speaker 1: it really well so it's nice and cool. It's probably
[2:17] Speaker 1: hot in there with all your family members, all right,
[2:19] Speaker 1: So we're gonna pour this into the champagne flute. I've
[2:26] Speaker 1: got much room left, and then we'll top it off
[2:29] Speaker 1: with persecco. Had a little bubbly and that is a
[2:34] Speaker 1: thankful Margarita.
[2:36] Speaker 2: Cheers.
[2:37] Speaker 1: Welcome back to Cocktails Jerney Discussions. You guys, Hey, y'all,
[2:42] Speaker 1: I'm Kiki said, so.
[2:44] Speaker 2: I'm Medina Monroel.
[2:47] Speaker 1: And we're back again. It's just sus this week.
[2:50] Speaker 2: Another Thursday. What are Thursdays typically like for you?
[2:55] Speaker 1: Thursdays are usually pretty jam packed. Now, you know, last
[2:58] Speaker 1: Thursday we had our meeting. We had a meeting last week,
[3:00] Speaker 1: we typically do our meetings. That day, my eye was swollen.
[3:04] Speaker 2: Wait, did you figure out what happened?
[3:05] Speaker 1: It was an allergic reaction to the outside like nature. Okay,
[3:09] Speaker 1: to nature, hold on, you fuck with nature like that sometimes.
[3:12] Speaker 1: But I was outside playing with Whitley and we were
[3:15] Speaker 1: having a good time, and you know, I love to
[3:17] Speaker 1: snug on my girl. I guess it was just too
[3:19] Speaker 1: much for me. All that grass and nature and dirt
[3:23] Speaker 1: and grass and twigs and things. It irritated me. My
[3:27] Speaker 1: eyes were itchy, so I had been rubbing them, but
[3:30] Speaker 1: and then when I went to bed it kind of hurt.
[3:33] Speaker 1: But I was like, probably because I've been rubbing them
[3:35] Speaker 1: all day. The next day it was swollen but it
[3:37] Speaker 1: just seemed a little swollen. I was like, maybe it's
[3:39] Speaker 1: because I haven't gotten enough rest, but it progressively got bigger,
[3:42] Speaker 1: and then I hadn't been in a mirror. And then
[3:44] Speaker 1: when I got on the Google meet for the meeting,
[3:46] Speaker 1: I said, oh, hell, no, camera off, this is disturbed.
[3:50] Speaker 1: I look like Quasimodo.
[3:52] Speaker 2: Did you really? Yes?
[3:55] Speaker 1: I mean I didn't have a hunchback with damn near
[3:57] Speaker 1: because I was slauh. I mean it was just ugly.
[3:59] Speaker 1: So I when it got me a little steroid shot
[4:01] Speaker 1: and by the end of the day I was good
[4:02] Speaker 1: to go.
[4:04] Speaker 2: That was because I hate when something does happen on
[4:06] Speaker 2: your face and it's like, oh my gosh.
[4:09] Speaker 1: I imagine if we had to record, I would be
[4:10] Speaker 1: sitting here in glasses, like big ass sunglasses. And I
[4:13] Speaker 1: hate when people wear sunglasses inside, like who are you and.
[4:16] Speaker 2: What are you doing? Take them off?
[4:18] Speaker 1: Do you think you're jay Z? Like what's going on?
[4:20] Speaker 1: It's not that anyway. Yeah. Thursdays are typically pretty busy.
[4:25] Speaker 1: I have a lot of meetings and then I like
[4:29] Speaker 1: to go out to dinner, typically if I can make
[4:32] Speaker 1: the time for it, but sometimes I'm too tired. Last
[4:34] Speaker 1: week I didn't go because obviously under the weather, my
[4:37] Speaker 1: face was at least And then past couple of weeks,
[4:40] Speaker 1: I've been trying different sushi restaurants and I mean repeats,
[4:43] Speaker 1: but just not my usual and finding new little coffee
[4:47] Speaker 1: shops and little loungy spots that aren't super turned up
[4:51] Speaker 1: because every now and then I like going to like
[4:53] Speaker 1: the clubstaurants.
[4:54] Speaker 2: Right, but the clubstaurant, Wow, I never heard of refer
[4:58] Speaker 2: to that. What is it like?
[4:59] Speaker 1: Like like most of the places in Atlanta. So there's
[5:02] Speaker 1: a DJ that's loud as fuck. It's not a place
[5:04] Speaker 1: where you can go and have an intimate dinner. It's loud.
[5:06] Speaker 1: There's probably hookah Okay, it's just loud. Everything is overpriced.
[5:12] Speaker 1: Definitely grass on the wall with Neon signs.
[5:15] Speaker 2: You know.
[5:15] Speaker 1: Have you been at Toulom No, I've heard about it.
[5:19] Speaker 1: To loom has like a three point something on YELP.
[5:21] Speaker 1: So I just stay away now if I'm already out
[5:24] Speaker 1: hanging out and we end up there, okay, but that
[5:26] Speaker 1: has never been my destination.
[5:27] Speaker 2: No house. Sorry, Corey, I know the owner. I'm so
[5:30] Speaker 2: sorry because I'm proud of you as a businessman. But
[5:33] Speaker 2: I went and I was like, y'all need to lower
[5:36] Speaker 2: these prices, and what were.
[5:38] Speaker 1: The prices like just not what they should like high
[5:41] Speaker 1: end steakhouse prices.
[5:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you have plastic silver plastic wear and it's.
[5:46] Speaker 1: Like I don't stand that, Like you have high ass prices,
[5:50] Speaker 1: but y'all have plastic shit or even like the nice
[5:54] Speaker 1: plastic plates that look cute but it's plastic.
[5:57] Speaker 2: Yeah. Like it was like it's yeah, yeah, I give it.
[6:01] Speaker 1: What's the point of the prices being that high? Like
[6:04] Speaker 1: if it's a cheap hole in the wall, okay, whatever,
[6:06] Speaker 1: it's given cookout, but you know at the Bougian's house.
[6:10] Speaker 3: But do you see my hat?
[6:13] Speaker 1: I love it.
[6:14] Speaker 3: I love wearing this comma.
[6:16] Speaker 1: It's my president.
[6:19] Speaker 3: M y'all see the comma in the love.
[6:21] Speaker 2: Every time I walk the people, I'm like, do you
[6:23] Speaker 2: see what is my hat? Saying everyone's always like la
[6:26] Speaker 2: I saw.
[6:27] Speaker 1: A law And then I was like, oh, mama, because
[6:30] Speaker 1: y'all us started saying Madam Vice's President's name wrong, Kama
[6:35] Speaker 1: love like her little nieces and carry.
[6:37] Speaker 2: WATCHA said have you voted yet?
[6:40] Speaker 1: I have not? When y'all hear this, I will have
[6:42] Speaker 1: absolutely Yeah.
[6:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, we're voting, but y'all know, we pre record, so
[6:46] Speaker 2: it's still October. I haven't.
[6:47] Speaker 1: I didn't vote early, and I wasn't going to vote early.
[6:50] Speaker 1: I was going to go on election day because they
[6:52] Speaker 1: are playing vicious games out here. It reminds me of Scandal.
[6:56] Speaker 1: Did you watch Scandal?
[6:57] Speaker 2: Never watched Scandal? Was it? Say' worth it? Should I
[7:01] Speaker 2: go back?
[7:01] Speaker 3: And I love me somebody?
[7:02] Speaker 2: Ola Davies. I was really mad when they took her
[7:04] Speaker 2: off of them.
[7:05] Speaker 1: That's the other that's how to get away with murder.
[7:09] Speaker 1: Carrie Washington, Yeah.
[7:14] Speaker 3: Okay, I did watch Scandal, okay, but only with my mom.
[7:17] Speaker 3: I didn't watch it all the time.
[7:18] Speaker 1: It's good. So if you haven't, we're going to talk
[7:20] Speaker 1: about tea later. And you know, they were at one
[7:24] Speaker 1: of her rallies. Carrie Washington and whatever fits his real
[7:28] Speaker 1: name is the actor.
[7:29] Speaker 3: They feel like they really like each other.
[7:31] Speaker 1: They really do. And I forget that Carrie Washington is
[7:34] Speaker 1: actually married. Oh she had kids and everything, because she
[7:38] Speaker 1: was pregnant during Scandal at one point, and so she
[7:40] Speaker 1: had on all these cute pea coats and stuff. And
[7:42] Speaker 1: they were doing like how they used to do on
[7:44] Speaker 1: the Cosmic Show, and other shows where they hide the belly,
[7:47] Speaker 1: but she was absolutely tracking it to a black man.
[7:50] Speaker 2: His name is.
[7:50] Speaker 1: Nandi and he was a football player. Wow, they're very
[7:54] Speaker 1: private about that. I've never seen a picture of the kids.
[7:58] Speaker 1: If the husband hadn't been in the NFL, probably would
[8:00] Speaker 1: have never seen a picture of him. But yeah, she's married,
[8:03] Speaker 1: but their sexual chemistry is strong.
[8:06] Speaker 3: Talk about her TV husband, yes.
[8:09] Speaker 1: Because I don't know what's going on with a real
[8:10] Speaker 1: husband and some rumors about him.
[8:12] Speaker 2: But I always wonder, like the wives and husbands of
[8:16] Speaker 2: actors and actresses, is there ever a moment where like
[8:18] Speaker 2: they really do get upset because I think we're just
[8:21] Speaker 2: little podcasters and people get upset if you have to
[8:25] Speaker 2: really have a sexy and you're really kissing people and
[8:27] Speaker 2: then you're like, hey, I really got to go study
[8:29] Speaker 2: with my scene partner or naked or naked and for
[8:32] Speaker 2: you to get comfortable. If you're a method actor, you're like,
[8:35] Speaker 2: I really gotta lay my teddy in.
[8:36] Speaker 1: His mouth like so and if he find I'm gonna do.
[8:39] Speaker 3: It, I know the spouse is be getting mad.
[8:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[8:44] Speaker 1: I mean a lot of things end up in divorced.
[8:46] Speaker 1: Think about Brad Pitt and Angelina Joelee. Before things went south,
[8:49] Speaker 1: he was still married to Jennifer Anistani and they.
[8:52] Speaker 2: Say, story made me so upset.
[8:55] Speaker 1: They did mister and missus Smith and then it was
[8:58] Speaker 1: like this whirlwind romance. But I mean, sometimes you need
[9:02] Speaker 1: to tread lightly because look at them now.
[9:04] Speaker 3: But they did have a very full life together.
[9:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, full of drama and all kinds of shit going on.
[9:14] Speaker 1: But yeah, so Carrie Washington was as a thing, and
[9:19] Speaker 1: that chemistry is just something else, and I'd be thinking
[9:22] Speaker 1: about it sometimes, and there's certain couples. Maybe we should
[9:24] Speaker 1: do an episode like that one day, thinking about people
[9:27] Speaker 1: who have great, honestcing on screen chemistry, and then we
[9:30] Speaker 1: can speculate, you know, just for fun, what we think
[9:33] Speaker 1: be going on behind closed doors would.
[9:35] Speaker 2: Be going on. You were talking about being outside with
[9:38] Speaker 2: Whitley and nature and stuff, and I thought about my
[9:41] Speaker 2: little shy shy shy. I caught her eating poop. I
[9:46] Speaker 2: was so mad, like afresh her own. It was her own,
[9:50] Speaker 2: freshly dookie poop. And I was looking at her like.
[9:55] Speaker 3: Well, are you feeding my girl?
[9:57] Speaker 2: I'm feeding the girl and I'm still cooking her. No.
[10:01] Speaker 1: Well, she like I need some swet and war.
[10:03] Speaker 2: Because I looked up the reasons why dogs because she
[10:06] Speaker 2: has done this before and it's so annoying. Like, so
[10:09] Speaker 2: I looked up the reasons why dogs do it, and
[10:12] Speaker 2: it's either they have a medical problem or but she doesn't,
[10:14] Speaker 2: or they're missing a nutrient out of their dog food,
[10:17] Speaker 2: which I did just switch her dog food, so I.
[10:21] Speaker 3: Don't know if that's it.
[10:21] Speaker 2: But there's another. The rest of the reasons. You know
[10:23] Speaker 2: what they are attention it said. One of the reasons
[10:26] Speaker 2: was if if they want attention. Another one, the last
[10:29] Speaker 2: one said if you act really shocked when you see
[10:33] Speaker 2: your dog eating the poop, they will continue to do
[10:35] Speaker 2: it because they liked the attention that you gave them.
[10:38] Speaker 3: Those little bastards.
[10:39] Speaker 2: They are so smart, Like I really be looking at them,
[10:43] Speaker 2: like you're really a smart, intelligent creature.
[10:46] Speaker 1: I just wish they could speak English, me too, I
[10:48] Speaker 1: really wish they could tired, I guess in sometimes have you.
[10:51] Speaker 2: Ever looked up what Whitley's breed was bred for?
[10:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, and I forget because Whitley's a mixed soap. She's
[10:59] Speaker 1: a Kava poo, so she's half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
[11:03] Speaker 1: kind of like a cocker spaniel, but they're not as cute.
[11:05] Speaker 1: So thank god you're mixed with that poodle and then
[11:07] Speaker 1: a poodle. I don't know what she was bread for.
[11:11] Speaker 2: These were bread for to I like hunt rodent. It's
[11:14] Speaker 2: like scavenge, like they would get like little bugs and
[11:17] Speaker 2: little fruits that fell on the ground and little rats
[11:19] Speaker 2: and little mice and like as they are. That makes sense. Yeah,
[11:22] Speaker 2: And they were like really good hunters. And I see
[11:23] Speaker 2: her doing it, and it's funny because she still she
[11:25] Speaker 2: likes vegetables, she likes fruits. When she sees the little girl,
[11:27] Speaker 2: she really tries to get them. I'm like, girl, you
[11:29] Speaker 2: are an old lady.
[11:32] Speaker 3: To put your hip out and were not getting surgery.
[11:34] Speaker 2: So yeah, we're at the end of.
[11:36] Speaker 1: The rope for her.
[11:39] Speaker 4: You said a man is not a necessity.
[11:41] Speaker 5: A man is a luxury like dessert.
[11:45] Speaker 4: Yeah, a man is absolutely not necessity. Did you mean
[11:48] Speaker 4: that to sound meaning bitter?
[11:51] Speaker 1: Oh not at all. I adore dessert. I love man, and.
[11:55] Speaker 6: I think man are the coolest, but you don't really
[11:58] Speaker 6: need them to live.
[12:03] Speaker 1: So I don't know if I told you all this
[12:05] Speaker 1: one of these last couple of episodes, but Whitley has
[12:09] Speaker 1: been in heat again because once again, I still haven't
[12:11] Speaker 1: been to get her fixed. I've been too busy. So
[12:15] Speaker 1: now when heat cycled number two, and this was a
[12:17] Speaker 1: real blood like that first one she had in April,
[12:23] Speaker 1: it was more like spotting. My first period was nothing
[12:27] Speaker 1: like that. I do remember talking about that on an
[12:29] Speaker 1: episode a couple months ago. But this one it's like, Okay,
[12:32] Speaker 1: this is bigger. But before that happened. So it short
[12:35] Speaker 1: at the beginning of October. It just ended over the weekend,
[12:37] Speaker 1: so a full three weeks. That's a long ass time
[12:40] Speaker 1: to be bleeding. I gave her all these diapers. After
[12:43] Speaker 1: like a week and a half, She's like taking her
[12:45] Speaker 1: diapers off, and I'm like, you're not about to be
[12:47] Speaker 1: free bleeding. We are not in France. We're not doing that.
[12:50] Speaker 1: That's like too progressive. But in September I knew it
[12:53] Speaker 1: was coming. Nipples started getting hard her. It starts like
[12:59] Speaker 1: swelling her vagina and start swelling.
[13:03] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[13:04] Speaker 1: So one day I had Walker, and Walker I just
[13:09] Speaker 1: hear him say Whitley stop. So I look to make
[13:11] Speaker 1: sure she's not trying to bite him or nothing crazy,
[13:13] Speaker 1: because I'd hate to have to get rid of my baby.
[13:16] Speaker 1: She was huh, this leg right. So I'm like, you're
[13:19] Speaker 1: a girl, say, isn't how this goes?
[13:21] Speaker 6: So?
[13:22] Speaker 1: Like you, I'm looking online attention what else essie attention?
[13:27] Speaker 1: Or they just be doing shit essentially. And then more
[13:31] Speaker 1: recently I looked it up somewhere because she started doing
[13:33] Speaker 1: it when I take my girl out to go for
[13:37] Speaker 1: our daily walks on the belt line, when we go
[13:39] Speaker 1: to the dog park, when we go to the potty park.
[13:42] Speaker 1: Please Peter, don't come get me. I just I'm just
[13:45] Speaker 1: trying to be progressive and just she stressed out. I
[13:49] Speaker 1: know what it's like. But she might jump on my
[13:50] Speaker 1: leg and before I know she's she's jumping on my
[13:52] Speaker 1: back trying to grab my arm and stuff. I'm like,
[13:54] Speaker 1: whoa there, baby, you gotta calm down. But if you
[13:56] Speaker 1: just want to jump up here like I don't know me, well,
[14:00] Speaker 1: not even money, just my foot with my shoe on it.
[14:02] Speaker 1: And so it's like, all right, let baby go ahead
[14:04] Speaker 1: and juice come out.
[14:06] Speaker 3: Nothing comes out.
[14:06] Speaker 1: She's just doing I mean she has on a diaper.
[14:08] Speaker 2: Wow, So you are progressing, yeah, And I'm just.
[14:13] Speaker 1: Like, you know, just everybody ignore her, don't give her
[14:15] Speaker 1: any extra attention. We're not going to feed into it
[14:18] Speaker 1: because if it is for the attention's sake, won't want
[14:21] Speaker 1: to do it. Well, I should have read further on
[14:23] Speaker 1: the article or articles that I found, And now I
[14:27] Speaker 1: was just like, well the fuck I am weird sex
[14:30] Speaker 1: this week? Because I did let her jump up the
[14:34] Speaker 1: every I didn't know, and I was just like, well,
[14:36] Speaker 1: she's a girl dog. And the first things I saw
[14:38] Speaker 1: was like, it's not sexual. They're doing it for attention.
[14:41] Speaker 1: I thought she might have had like a bladder infection,
[14:44] Speaker 1: u TI or something. Took her to the vet. It
[14:46] Speaker 1: wasn't that. So it's like, well, I don't know what's
[14:48] Speaker 1: going on. You get bathed regularly, everything's fine, but she
[14:53] Speaker 1: was so I bought her some toys something toys mm hmm,
[14:57] Speaker 1: some giant stuffed toys. So right now she has a
[15:00] Speaker 1: back because it's Halloween. There was a lamb chop. She
[15:02] Speaker 1: tore lamb chop to smith Reen.
[15:04] Speaker 3: My baby girl loves her little lamb chop.
[15:06] Speaker 1: Really, this is a big lamb chop, like it's as
[15:09] Speaker 1: big as your backpack, and she just hops on it
[15:11] Speaker 1: and goes to town. There was an old pillow I
[15:13] Speaker 1: let her have, but she also digs and scratches, and
[15:16] Speaker 1: I don't want all the cotton pieces everywhere. Anyway, I
[15:20] Speaker 1: learned that she won't be doing that again, and in December,
[15:24] Speaker 1: we don't We don't have a lot going on, so
[15:27] Speaker 1: I will definitely have two weeks to dedicate to her
[15:29] Speaker 1: to make sure she's not biting her stitches out, because
[15:31] Speaker 1: that's what I'm afraid of. When she gets big, I
[15:33] Speaker 1: feel like she will find a way to get about
[15:36] Speaker 1: that cone or the donut or whatever I have to
[15:38] Speaker 1: put her in so that she's not gnawing at her
[15:40] Speaker 1: stitches because I don't want your inside's falling out. Being
[15:43] Speaker 1: a dog mom has been quite a journey.
[15:46] Speaker 2: It's a journey, but I love it.
[15:47] Speaker 1: I wouldn't trade it for nothing. I love my baby girl, Whitley.
[15:51] Speaker 2: I love that.
[15:51] Speaker 1: You know what, this is the season to be thankful,
[15:55] Speaker 1: and right now I'm very thankful for my very happy,
[15:58] Speaker 1: healthy and wet vagina. And I would like to give
[16:02] Speaker 1: us special thanks to our friends over at bb Health
[16:05] Speaker 1: for creating Soaking Wet, the vaginal probiotic that we have
[16:09] Speaker 1: been talking about for a few months now. I am
[16:11] Speaker 1: taking it faithfully and it has just done my body
[16:15] Speaker 1: so good.
[16:16] Speaker 2: I love it, and I love to hear that. And
[16:18] Speaker 2: I also love when brands like this are created by
[16:20] Speaker 2: medical doctors because then it's like, oh, it's safe, it's safe.
[16:25] Speaker 2: A doctor's helping me make my little my little twatt,
[16:29] Speaker 2: little Kitticut, little plus plus Wet.
[16:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, back by science and not by old wives tales.
[16:35] Speaker 1: You know that's very important because you don't want to
[16:37] Speaker 1: have a flare up of anything going wrong down there.
[16:41] Speaker 1: BB Health created Soaking Wet and it is manufactured in
[16:45] Speaker 1: a very clean and safe facility. They have excellent reviews online,
[16:50] Speaker 1: so you don't even just have to take our word
[16:52] Speaker 1: for it. Again, like Medina said, it's backed by medical professionals,
[16:56] Speaker 1: and it really is good. You think about your health
[16:59] Speaker 1: and all different aspects of your health, but sometimes you
[17:02] Speaker 1: need to hone in on specific parts of your body,
[17:04] Speaker 1: like your vagina. Now only is it gonna keep it healthy,
[17:07] Speaker 1: maintain that vaginal floor. I have everything right, but when
[17:10] Speaker 1: it comes to sex, because I know that's what it's
[17:11] Speaker 1: all about at the end of the day, you want it,
[17:14] Speaker 1: why you want it functioning. You do not want to
[17:16] Speaker 1: have a broken pussy.
[17:17] Speaker 2: Okay, you don't want a broken pussy, So make sure
[17:19] Speaker 2: you guys, rush on over to soakingweight dot com use
[17:22] Speaker 2: code Cocktails to get ten percent off your purchase. Are
[17:26] Speaker 2: you traveling for Christmas?
[17:29] Speaker 1: I'm not sure, so Thanksgiving is coming up. I'm gonna
[17:33] Speaker 1: stay here, but I think it's the weekend this episode
[17:37] Speaker 1: comes out. I'm gonna go to Dallas. My niece is
[17:39] Speaker 1: turning fifteen. I gotta believe she's so old because that
[17:45] Speaker 1: makes me old. And it's just like she has an
[17:49] Speaker 1: attitude like and a personality fully developed. She has her
[17:53] Speaker 1: own thoughts, she has ideas about what she wants in
[17:55] Speaker 1: the world. The other day, we were on the phone
[17:58] Speaker 1: on FaceTime on Chaotic ass some call. She was shading me.
[18:01] Speaker 1: I don't really like that, but I appreciated the wit
[18:04] Speaker 1: so because she didn't say anything totally inappropriate. I did
[18:07] Speaker 1: not chastise her because I don't want to stifle her creativity.
[18:12] Speaker 1: She was quick witted, she was on time, and she
[18:15] Speaker 1: wasn't disrespectful. It just hurt my feelings what she say.
[18:19] Speaker 1: She's talking about wanting a boyfriend, and I was like, well,
[18:22] Speaker 1: what do you want a boyfriend for? Like you're fourteen?
[18:24] Speaker 1: And she said to carry her books and buy her
[18:26] Speaker 1: stuff and I was like, well, okay, carry your books
[18:29] Speaker 1: is one thing, but like you can't just be using
[18:31] Speaker 1: guys Like I get it.
[18:33] Speaker 3: And I love to carry my books and buy anythings.
[18:35] Speaker 1: What do you mean, Yeah, exactly what do you what
[18:38] Speaker 1: do you want? Well? Her Christmas not Christmas Birthday wish
[18:41] Speaker 1: list is rather extensive, and I was like, a few
[18:43] Speaker 1: years ago I brought her an iPad. She's very much
[18:46] Speaker 1: into art, and she was talking about wanting to get
[18:50] Speaker 1: into animation. And I'm all about supporting the kids and
[18:53] Speaker 1: the family with anything that could be an employable or
[18:57] Speaker 1: profitable skill. Right. So she is really really good at drawing,
[19:02] Speaker 1: at drawing, and she can do it digitally, she can
[19:05] Speaker 1: do it on pen and paper, and she's like really
[19:07] Speaker 1: into it so many different styles. And so me and
[19:10] Speaker 1: my mom were talking we buy her the iPad. I
[19:12] Speaker 1: ain't seen but two animations and one drawing, and I
[19:16] Speaker 1: had a bag her to see that, and I was like, no, ma'am,
[19:18] Speaker 1: you want me getting nothing else. I really wanted to
[19:20] Speaker 1: upgrade my desktop computer, so because mine is still in
[19:23] Speaker 1: good condition, I was thinking about upgrading for myself and
[19:28] Speaker 1: just wiping my current one and giving it to her
[19:31] Speaker 1: for her birthday. But then I thought about it.
[19:34] Speaker 2: No, I'm not.
[19:35] Speaker 1: You don't even call me to check on me.
[19:38] Speaker 2: Using like a real auntie. I am.
[19:40] Speaker 1: I'm very much auntie because the last time she did
[19:43] Speaker 1: call me to check on me, y'all, while the little
[19:45] Speaker 1: girl gonna say, well, Auntie diva, she was about to
[19:50] Speaker 1: ask me something, she stopped herself and she's like, well,
[19:53] Speaker 1: let me ask you how you're doing and what's going
[19:55] Speaker 1: on in your life before I ask you for what
[19:57] Speaker 1: I want.
[19:58] Speaker 2: Smart she should said it out, so I.
[20:03] Speaker 1: So I answered her, and then I said, okay, and
[20:05] Speaker 1: baby girl, let me just food for thought. Next time
[20:09] Speaker 1: you do this, don't let the intrusive thoughts win. You
[20:12] Speaker 1: say that inside, don't say it out loud because it
[20:16] Speaker 1: just takes away. You could have just got to the point.
[20:17] Speaker 1: You really could have texted me. But whatever, So she
[20:20] Speaker 1: ain't getting that shit. I don't know what she's getting
[20:22] Speaker 1: for her birthday, but the stuff on her list was
[20:25] Speaker 1: very big.
[20:25] Speaker 3: And did she get her boyfriend?
[20:28] Speaker 1: I don't know. She ain't called me to check on her,
[20:29] Speaker 1: so I'm not calling her to check on her because
[20:31] Speaker 1: I know she's just gonna ask for something. But what
[20:34] Speaker 1: she said to me was, I'm not trying to be
[20:35] Speaker 1: old and single like you. And it was me and
[20:39] Speaker 1: two of my aunts on the call, and so she
[20:41] Speaker 1: was talking about me and one of my aunts and
[20:43] Speaker 1: she was like, y'all just and I don't even know
[20:45] Speaker 1: what's going on with the other one.
[20:47] Speaker 2: And so I was at her ten year old we
[20:49] Speaker 2: canceling the King Sanata mm hmm.
[20:53] Speaker 1: And what's crazy that you mentioned King Sanatta?
[20:55] Speaker 3: I had.
[20:56] Speaker 1: She got on the line because I was I was
[20:58] Speaker 1: really talking to Phoenix, that's what girl.
[21:00] Speaker 2: Now.
[21:00] Speaker 1: Now she's talking and everything and she's cool. Gizelle jumps
[21:04] Speaker 1: on the line and I was like, oh, you look
[21:06] Speaker 1: really pretty because she went to it can say the
[21:08] Speaker 1: weekend before Melorie sent me pictures and everything. She's getting
[21:11] Speaker 1: into more girly stuff and she was in a wr phase,
[21:14] Speaker 1: but she's out of that. You know, watching kids grow
[21:16] Speaker 1: up is interesting. And she's like, thanks, I'm trying to
[21:19] Speaker 1: get a boyfriend. And that's how that kicked off. And
[21:21] Speaker 1: then she shaded me. I said, well, interestingly enough, I
[21:25] Speaker 1: just hadn't event on Tuesday with Cocktails, you know my
[21:28] Speaker 1: podcast that's successful. While you're talking about wanting to boyfriend
[21:32] Speaker 1: and all this stuff and shading me for being single,
[21:34] Speaker 1: and Elizabeth Gilbert said, studies report that it's really more
[21:38] Speaker 1: beneficial for men than women, and the women who are married,
[21:43] Speaker 1: which is what sometimes comes next after boyfriend and engagement
[21:47] Speaker 1: is a marriage, and especially the women with kids, it
[21:51] Speaker 1: doesn't really work out in your favor. So let's just
[21:53] Speaker 1: see who finishes out on top. And she's like, I mean,
[21:57] Speaker 1: we'll see, but I'm getting a boyfriend. I was like, okay, girl, whatever,
[22:00] Speaker 1: and don't call me when you need something. So I mean,
[22:02] Speaker 1: maybe that's why she hasn't got me. I don't know,
[22:05] Speaker 1: we get spicy, but now she said she's a teenager,
[22:07] Speaker 1: she's a ninth grade. Oh, we're gonna get spicy. And
[22:10] Speaker 1: I just gotta remember, don't get my feelings hurt. And
[22:12] Speaker 1: then middle child Gianna is funny. I was talking to Mallory.
[22:16] Speaker 1: She said that her husband was like kind of scared
[22:19] Speaker 1: of her because not like she'll do something to them,
[22:23] Speaker 1: but just like her comeback.
[22:24] Speaker 2: She is very quick with it. Oh you think she
[22:26] Speaker 2: gets that room, which did side of the family.
[22:29] Speaker 1: Okay, definitely Mallory because even when Gizelle was younger and
[22:34] Speaker 1: when they were younger and my mom too. They would
[22:37] Speaker 1: do these things, you know how people used to like
[22:39] Speaker 1: roast each other and then watching like wild'n Out and
[22:42] Speaker 1: whatever came before that, all the shows. It's fun and
[22:44] Speaker 1: it can be fun, and we like watching shady shows.
[22:47] Speaker 1: They spend a lot of time with my mom and
[22:49] Speaker 1: we're watching housewives in reality TV, so you know there's
[22:52] Speaker 1: gonna be lots of shady moments, and so we.
[22:55] Speaker 2: Let them watch it.
[22:55] Speaker 1: It's like, don't be disrespectful, but have a comeback because
[22:58] Speaker 1: sometimes people will try you and you don't want to
[23:00] Speaker 1: be stuck on stupid, but they've got to die down sometimes.
[23:05] Speaker 1: So I don't know. Okay, she called my sister broke
[23:10] Speaker 1: the other day.
[23:10] Speaker 3: She was, okay, turn the shows off.
[23:13] Speaker 1: Turn them off. And what's crazy is it's not my sister,
[23:16] Speaker 1: it's my mama. So she was like, they're roasting each
[23:20] Speaker 1: other back and forth and it was all funny games.
[23:22] Speaker 1: She's like, and that's why you're broke, and some someing
[23:24] Speaker 1: and am I always like okay, So she went to
[23:25] Speaker 1: her room and reevaluated. I don't know how that ended out.
[23:28] Speaker 1: I was like, well, I'm scared for the holidays, so
[23:31] Speaker 1: I'm going to come with small gifts, and I just
[23:33] Speaker 1: hope everybody's nice. I'm going to take them to one
[23:35] Speaker 1: of their downtown lunches or dinners. They're always like, can
[23:38] Speaker 1: we go downtown?
[23:39] Speaker 2: Is you know?
[23:40] Speaker 1: They don't live in the city, so they like to
[23:41] Speaker 1: go to the city, order their mocktails, try different stuff.
[23:45] Speaker 1: They like to get adventurous, cause I'm like, we're not
[23:47] Speaker 1: going place with kids MENI so you're gonna have to mature.
[23:50] Speaker 1: And I enjoyed those moments. So we'll see how it goes.
[23:53] Speaker 1: I'll report back at the end of the month.
[23:55] Speaker 2: Speaking of reporting back, have you since have you started
[23:59] Speaker 2: reading the gift asking?
[24:01] Speaker 1: I started listening to it. I got it on audible
[24:02] Speaker 1: and I love that is her voice?
[24:05] Speaker 2: Is it her? Okay?
[24:05] Speaker 3: I read the hard copy.
[24:07] Speaker 2: I don't listen to it.
[24:08] Speaker 1: Have you because she gets you together?
[24:10] Speaker 2: She does and a.
[24:11] Speaker 1: Few times it's like I started doing other stuff and
[24:13] Speaker 1: then she says something and it's just like the tone.
[24:17] Speaker 1: I'm like, oh I missed something, let me start over.
[24:20] Speaker 1: But it's good. I'm enjoying it.
[24:22] Speaker 2: Have you found yourself like trying to apply some of
[24:24] Speaker 2: the things, like or even based off of the conversation
[24:27] Speaker 2: we had with kemmy like. I love how she ended
[24:30] Speaker 2: the episode, and she talked about like, make sure you're
[24:32] Speaker 2: also asking people if they need anything from you, and
[24:36] Speaker 2: I've been doing that, not with everybody now because now
[24:40] Speaker 2: she also says, make sure you want to do it
[24:42] Speaker 2: and willing to do it for who is asking, because
[24:45] Speaker 2: more than likely they gonna come back with it.
[24:47] Speaker 3: They might even be like no, and.
[24:48] Speaker 2: Then they call you back like remember earlier when you
[24:50] Speaker 2: asked me offer, Yeah, baby, I didn't mean it like that,
[24:54] Speaker 2: but yes, have you been applying any of it or
[24:56] Speaker 2: not yet?
[24:57] Speaker 1: I have And I've also been like I remember she
[25:01] Speaker 1: said this in the episode, and again, I'm not finished
[25:03] Speaker 1: with the book, but setting boundaries and also asking people
[25:06] Speaker 1: who ask me for a lot of stuff. Could you
[25:09] Speaker 1: let me know if this is a need or want,
[25:12] Speaker 1: because if it's a need, I'm more inclined to do it.
[25:15] Speaker 1: But sometimes the way that you ask me, it feels
[25:18] Speaker 1: like a need and then it's a want and I'm
[25:20] Speaker 1: like I should have said no. So just having like
[25:23] Speaker 1: better communication, being more open And again I don't know
[25:27] Speaker 1: if this is a part of the teachings or not,
[25:28] Speaker 1: but something else I've been trying to work on it's new.
[25:32] Speaker 1: It just started on Sunday. But when I am helping
[25:37] Speaker 1: people and then I feel like they might be a
[25:41] Speaker 1: little overly thankful, just like oh I'm sorry, or very
[25:45] Speaker 1: apologetic or just like overly grateful, I like to remind
[25:49] Speaker 1: them it's okay. I don't mind, to let them know,
[25:52] Speaker 1: like it's not a stress. I don't want you to
[25:54] Speaker 1: feel stressed, because maybe that's what you feel, and it's
[25:56] Speaker 1: okay to lean on me or to ask me for whatever,
[25:59] Speaker 1: and it's not a problem. So that they know that
[26:01] Speaker 1: the door is open.
[26:02] Speaker 2: I feel you on that. The overly stuff, like there's
[26:06] Speaker 2: certain situations where I've caught myself doing it and I'm
[26:11] Speaker 2: doing better at it, Like it is like, calm down,
[26:13] Speaker 2: I'm co listing a property with an agent and the way,
[26:17] Speaker 2: have you ever been doing something with somebody and maybe
[26:19] Speaker 2: you're the newer one and they want to make sure
[26:21] Speaker 2: I'm a direct person when it's time to get serious
[26:23] Speaker 2: when we do when we do live shows and stuff
[26:25] Speaker 2: like there's a funny medina and then there's the other
[26:26] Speaker 2: side where it's like business to get serious. Yeah, Like
[26:29] Speaker 2: it's not like funny in jokes, it's like, let's get
[26:32] Speaker 2: lets everybody make sure we do what we're supposed to do.
[26:33] Speaker 3: And it is two different people, and I.
[26:35] Speaker 2: Don't there's rude and there's just direct. And he was
[26:39] Speaker 2: being direct and he was like, I just want to
[26:42] Speaker 2: let you know. I don't mean to and I was like,
[26:43] Speaker 2: can you.
[26:43] Speaker 1: Oh, it's a guy. Yeah, but also it's probably overly
[26:46] Speaker 1: sensitive because he might have thought you were going to
[26:48] Speaker 1: be sensitive as a woman. You know, I have men
[26:49] Speaker 1: be thinking that sometimes.
[26:50] Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't think he was even thinking that, but
[26:53] Speaker 2: he but I was like, it was making me uncomfortable
[26:55] Speaker 2: because I'm not. I was like, I get it, Like
[26:57] Speaker 2: we got to get the stuff done and it's a
[27:01] Speaker 2: big deal. So I was like can I felt proud
[27:03] Speaker 2: of myself because I said, I was like, can you.
[27:04] Speaker 2: You don't have to keep like apologizing for being direct
[27:07] Speaker 2: to make sure that I'm doing the things correctly. I'm
[27:09] Speaker 2: telling you right now, you don't because I might be new,
[27:12] Speaker 2: but I'm not new new to peopling in the people world.
[27:14] Speaker 3: Like, I'm gonna tell you too.
[27:15] Speaker 2: I got some things to say as well, and I'm
[27:17] Speaker 2: not gonna apologize for the tone because it's not rude
[27:19] Speaker 2: or disrespectful.
[27:20] Speaker 3: It is just direct and you want to make sure
[27:22] Speaker 3: it's right.
[27:22] Speaker 2: Who's like okay?
[27:23] Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, yeah, how did it feel when
[27:28] Speaker 1: you were being direct with him and letting him know?
[27:30] Speaker 1: It felt really good?
[27:32] Speaker 3: Like it felt really good.
[27:33] Speaker 2: So yeah, y'all make sure I'll get the Gift of
[27:36] Speaker 2: Asking and really apply. It's just one of those life
[27:38] Speaker 2: changing books that makes you try to be a little
[27:42] Speaker 2: bit better.
[27:43] Speaker 1: M It's on the Libby app well, depending on where
[27:46] Speaker 1: you live. If y'all don't know about the liby at
[27:48] Speaker 1: we've been talking about in the book club, I don't
[27:51] Speaker 1: know what we're reading for November, but I'll put it
[27:53] Speaker 1: in an episode description. But most libraries are a part
[27:57] Speaker 1: of Libby or some other Peopla or some other digital
[28:02] Speaker 1: something where you put in your library cards so you
[28:04] Speaker 1: can check out books. They have audio books and the
[28:06] Speaker 1: ebooks right and then also if you are an Amazon
[28:09] Speaker 1: Prime member or you have Audible or whatever, they have
[28:12] Speaker 1: free books on there. The audio version of the Gift
[28:15] Speaker 1: of Asking is only like three and a half hours,
[28:17] Speaker 1: so like, you can listen to that in a day
[28:19] Speaker 1: of writing traffic and get your life together. Next up,
[28:22] Speaker 1: I'm going to listen to Power. I think Power or
[28:26] Speaker 1: the path. Yes, I'm very excited to hear that one too,
[28:30] Speaker 1: but I want to get through the gift of asking first,
[28:33] Speaker 1: and then I need to make sure I listen to
[28:34] Speaker 1: power before I go spend family time.
[28:37] Speaker 3: We really be reading the self help books.
[28:40] Speaker 1: I love them.
[28:40] Speaker 3: Was weird sex really or weird sex?
[28:42] Speaker 1: Yes, that's it, I say, because I was being a
[28:44] Speaker 1: progressive mama and I don't need any of the pet
[28:47] Speaker 1: people coming after me nothing. There was no actual beastiality,
[28:50] Speaker 1: to be clear, I just didn't know what was happening.
[28:53] Speaker 1: I just thought she wanted attention because that was the
[28:55] Speaker 1: article that I read, and she did, but it was
[28:58] Speaker 1: a different kind. And so things have changed in our home.
[29:01] Speaker 1: But I think within the next two weeks everything should
[29:04] Speaker 1: wind down and get back. I wish by a hip
[29:08] Speaker 1: would create something for pets. Maybe we should send them
[29:12] Speaker 1: an email.
[29:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, they need to just go ahead and make us
[29:14] Speaker 2: partners or maybe make us part of the creative.
[29:18] Speaker 1: I would like to do a real commercial, take us
[29:20] Speaker 1: to LA. I would like to go back to college.
[29:23] Speaker 1: I want to go through the factory. I would love
[29:26] Speaker 1: that and just see I want to see where they
[29:28] Speaker 1: grow it. They said all the things about the flowers.
[29:30] Speaker 1: I don't know really much about it. I just know
[29:32] Speaker 1: the ones I like and how they make me feel.
[29:34] Speaker 2: Okay, it was like some body was like, whatever type
[29:38] Speaker 2: of product you want to come out with, Like, I'm
[29:40] Speaker 2: going to just sponsor the whole thing, take care of everything, branding,
[29:44] Speaker 2: marketing or anything you need. Would you do you have
[29:46] Speaker 2: a product that you'd be like, I would love to
[29:48] Speaker 2: create this so.
[29:49] Speaker 1: Many but what would be the biggest one? Definitely, I
[29:52] Speaker 1: don't know which one, but something in the kitchen, something
[29:57] Speaker 1: in the kitchen. At first, I was thinking makeup stuff.
[30:00] Speaker 1: I hate seeing bad eyebrows, and mine aren't always great.
[30:02] Speaker 2: I now eyebrows.
[30:04] Speaker 1: Seeing it really upsets me. And like if I if
[30:07] Speaker 1: I was sitting here with you and your eyebrows were bad, honestly,
[30:10] Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't have hurt, shit you said, because I
[30:12] Speaker 1: would be looking at you, but I would be distracted
[30:14] Speaker 1: by those caterpillars or whatever you or pencils that you
[30:18] Speaker 1: had on your head. It can be very distracted. I
[30:21] Speaker 1: hate to think about that for a moment. Okay, do you.
[30:24] Speaker 2: Think that bad eyebrows?
[30:26] Speaker 1: Do you think that bad people?
[30:28] Speaker 2: Not that they're bad people, but do you think that
[30:30] Speaker 2: it says something about them.
[30:33] Speaker 1: Yeah. One, well it depends on what kind of what
[30:38] Speaker 1: depends on what they look like. But I definitely make
[30:40] Speaker 1: my assessments. And again I'm not listening to shit you
[30:42] Speaker 1: have to say, because you have distracted me. Where is
[30:44] Speaker 1: your hat and your bank?
[30:46] Speaker 2: Where is your mask? I would absolutely love it. You
[30:50] Speaker 2: know how people rate dick pics. I would love it
[30:53] Speaker 2: if people would send us just their eyebrows, like just
[30:55] Speaker 2: their eye and up and we get you think you
[30:57] Speaker 2: got really great eyebrows, or we get to just like
[31:01] Speaker 2: rate them and like critique the eyebrow. Please somebody that
[31:04] Speaker 2: baby send the picture and don't.
[31:06] Speaker 1: Send us none of our eyebrows on a bad eyebrows
[31:08] Speaker 1: because I've definitely had many recently, not recently, I've had.
[31:13] Speaker 3: Bad eyebrow days.
[31:15] Speaker 2: It was like a whole the society had bad eyebrows.
[31:17] Speaker 1: I saw on TikTok. I'm trying to get hip, y'all
[31:21] Speaker 1: keep sending me stuff. I appreciate it because I don't
[31:23] Speaker 1: really know how to work that shit. Anyway, I saw
[31:25] Speaker 1: something it was like eyebrow blindness, and people were showing
[31:29] Speaker 1: like they're saying they had eyebrow blindness because they didn't
[31:32] Speaker 1: realize how bad their brows were, and so it's like
[31:36] Speaker 1: they put it on the thing and then something swipes
[31:39] Speaker 1: across and then it's a picture of their eyebrows when
[31:41] Speaker 1: they had the eyebrow blindness. Oh, I don't even want
[31:46] Speaker 1: to go back to twenty fifteen and prior.
[31:50] Speaker 2: Ire on purpose, like me square in the front. Yeah,
[31:56] Speaker 2: I'm talking about like but it was like a too hard.
[31:58] Speaker 2: It was really harsh.
[32:00] Speaker 1: Yeah I had I had a face like that, too thin,
[32:03] Speaker 1: over arching them, getting them over, wax plucked whatever, too
[32:07] Speaker 1: dark and good brows. I still feel this way they
[32:13] Speaker 1: will make or break a face. If your eyebrows look
[32:16] Speaker 1: great some of the other stuff, you can look over
[32:19] Speaker 1: it or you don't, might not even need it. I
[32:21] Speaker 1: wish I had naturally thick, full brows. Some time ago.
[32:27] Speaker 1: I got my eyebrows microblade. It's time for a touch up.
[32:30] Speaker 1: But that was one of the best things since slice bread.
[32:32] Speaker 1: It helps a lot. But yeah, eyebrows, eyebrows.
[32:36] Speaker 2: Can do a lot.
[32:38] Speaker 1: And the good or the bad, what's your think? It
[32:39] Speaker 1: says about people.
[32:41] Speaker 3: I really don't know that you're rushing. There's a bad
[32:43] Speaker 3: eyebrow where it's just like you.
[32:45] Speaker 2: Are rushing and it's bad, and then there's a bad
[32:47] Speaker 2: eyebrow where you're just like you really you think this
[32:49] Speaker 2: looks good. I think maybe you're.
[32:50] Speaker 1: Concern when it looks like you took time on this
[32:52] Speaker 1: and it looks like Halloween.
[32:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, like you maybe just don't know style, or you
[32:57] Speaker 3: don't keep up with the trends. It's not It doesn't make.
[32:58] Speaker 1: You bad eyes checked. Sometimes I think about that.
[33:03] Speaker 2: You don't want to spend the money on the quality
[33:05] Speaker 2: products that could also be it, But but no, that's
[33:08] Speaker 2: not it because you can make it. You can use
[33:09] Speaker 2: a cheap product, you can use Yeah, yeah, I gotta
[33:14] Speaker 2: dig deeper into that.
[33:16] Speaker 1: Or maybe you just do want to look like el
[33:18] Speaker 1: Vira Princess of the Dark or what's that movie with
[33:22] Speaker 1: a little stick figure cartoons? Oh, Nightmare before Christmas or
[33:27] Speaker 1: whatever it is? What is that the vibe?
[33:31] Speaker 2: No?
[33:31] Speaker 1: No, but you know, different strokes for different folks. Yeah,
[33:37] Speaker 1: what product would you make?
[33:42] Speaker 2: I would make? I was gonna say makeup. I'm gonna
[33:47] Speaker 2: steer away from makeup. That's a good question.
[33:52] Speaker 1: You know what I picture for you? While you're thinking glasses?
[33:55] Speaker 1: Glasses are hats? Those are your thing? Like a wear
[33:59] Speaker 1: a lot of hats, and hats are unisex. They don't
[34:05] Speaker 1: really go out of style. Maybe what's on there does,
[34:08] Speaker 1: but you are a hat person, hat girl. Even if
[34:11] Speaker 1: it was just like I don't know what it's called,
[34:13] Speaker 1: like a baseball cap, that kind of I.
[34:14] Speaker 3: Know what I would make what because I've actually thought
[34:16] Speaker 3: about this before.
[34:17] Speaker 2: Okay, glasses girls, I'm a glasses girl. I would rather
[34:21] Speaker 2: have contacts, but I would rather wear glasses.
[34:23] Speaker 1: I always like Grace, you are up to the club
[34:26] Speaker 1: where you used to go, I will, I'll still wear them.
[34:29] Speaker 1: We do have some old club pictures where you was
[34:31] Speaker 1: definitely in the glasses. I must be yelling at Grace,
[34:34] Speaker 1: why do you? Why are you wearing that to the club.
[34:36] Speaker 1: She don't go no more, but you know, back in
[34:38] Speaker 1: the day anyway.
[34:39] Speaker 2: So I would make I always complain about I literally
[34:43] Speaker 2: I keep my handkerchief in my pocket always or in
[34:45] Speaker 2: my fanny pactice for my glasses. And if you look
[34:49] Speaker 2: very closely, there's so much makeup on the glasses, like
[34:52] Speaker 2: when you if you're a glasses girl, handkerchief and the glasses,
[34:56] Speaker 2: it gets on the glasses.
[34:57] Speaker 3: You gotta wipe it off.
[34:58] Speaker 2: And so I've always wish that somebody would create like
[35:02] Speaker 2: something that could also be stylish and you really don't
[35:04] Speaker 2: see it unless you look from the side. But it
[35:05] Speaker 2: doesn't matter because we already have these bars. Something that
[35:07] Speaker 2: can just slightly lift your glasses up and off of
[35:11] Speaker 2: your face so when you put them on, they're not
[35:13] Speaker 2: actually messing your makeup up?
[35:16] Speaker 1: Is that not what them little adjustable things that are
[35:18] Speaker 1: on some glasses are for.
[35:20] Speaker 2: No, because that's still pressing in your nose, so it's
[35:22] Speaker 2: still on you. Like I don't know how anybody could
[35:25] Speaker 2: even do it, but just something where it's like it
[35:27] Speaker 2: could still fit on your face tight and comfortably, but
[35:30] Speaker 2: it's not actually like sitting on any part of your
[35:32] Speaker 2: nose or your cheeks and messing up your conceiler.
[35:35] Speaker 1: Hmmm, maybe you need to meet an engineer friend to
[35:39] Speaker 1: help you put that together. I'm wondering would it feel secure?
[35:43] Speaker 1: You think maybe you just need a strap around the
[35:46] Speaker 1: back to I'm not I mean, I'm not a glasses girl.
[35:51] Speaker 1: Anytime I wear them is strapped.
[35:53] Speaker 2: Now, that's real.
[35:57] Speaker 1: To just set your glasses.
[35:58] Speaker 2: I could put an extend in between the this. Maybe
[36:02] Speaker 2: they could do an extender and stick them out just
[36:03] Speaker 2: a little bit. I'm not sure what they could, like
[36:06] Speaker 2: an extender between where this where the bar to here
[36:09] Speaker 2: farm is, yeah, and what where the glasses like this
[36:13] Speaker 2: can break? How this can come off? Mm hmm, like
[36:16] Speaker 2: it would be in between here.
[36:20] Speaker 1: Glasses something like that. Are you like what we figured
[36:24] Speaker 1: it out? Because I'm sure that people who do wear
[36:27] Speaker 1: glasses can totally relate and they would love that shit
[36:30] Speaker 1: and they're gonna eat it up.
[36:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, I would definitely get it, just.
[36:33] Speaker 1: Like I have. I know somebody and they have a
[36:38] Speaker 1: very bad vision, Like I'm like, are you legally blonde?
[36:42] Speaker 1: I remember that girl? I'm legally blonde. No, you don't
[36:45] Speaker 1: remember that girl that was hanging on the car. I
[36:47] Speaker 1: can't remember what she said. Anyway, she's legally blond, and
[36:51] Speaker 1: that's why she was trying to get out of getting arrested.
[36:53] Speaker 1: Didn't work. But glasses are so fucking thick, And I
[36:57] Speaker 1: was like, well, I would think that after sin trees
[37:00] Speaker 1: of people wearing glasses, there's something that could be figured out.
[37:03] Speaker 1: Because when I'm looking at you head on your eyes,
[37:07] Speaker 1: it's like I'm seeing like it's like a kaliscope, not you,
[37:12] Speaker 1: You're really looking at you. I'm talking to you. No,
[37:15] Speaker 1: yours look fine. So I don't know what your prescription is,
[37:17] Speaker 1: but it's not given that you blind, even though I
[37:19] Speaker 1: know you said you are. So you got the script
[37:23] Speaker 1: with the right lenses. He was like, it is, but
[37:26] Speaker 1: it costs way more. And that's why these are my
[37:28] Speaker 1: nighttime glasses because I broke my other glasses. That's why
[37:31] Speaker 1: these are so thick. And I'm like, baby, you need
[37:33] Speaker 1: to fix this because I'm looking at you and it
[37:35] Speaker 1: looks like I'm looking at eight of you in your
[37:37] Speaker 1: two sets of eyes and they're just thinking. They're just
[37:39] Speaker 1: reflecting back and forth. And he was just like, I said, well,
[37:42] Speaker 1: I get it. You gotta see put your contacts seeing.
[37:44] Speaker 1: Don't break these because what you're gonna do, But that's crazy.
[37:48] Speaker 1: If you guys are engineers or whatever, you need to
[37:51] Speaker 1: be optimal optomologists, optimologists him Adina up, she's got an
[37:56] Speaker 1: idea patting something and get something going, break or.
[38:00] Speaker 3: Flya little glasses be cute.
[38:03] Speaker 2: While we're making announcements, I wanted to make an announcement
[38:06] Speaker 2: that you guys, I really want to just play matchmaker.
[38:09] Speaker 2: You don't have to pay me, like, I just want
[38:11] Speaker 2: to play with it. Because there's so many people in
[38:13] Speaker 2: the world that'd be like, do you know anybody? And
[38:14] Speaker 2: I don't, But I'm like, we have a whole platform
[38:19] Speaker 2: of people that listen. If you know any good single men.
[38:23] Speaker 3: Good good single.
[38:25] Speaker 2: Men, Okay, say both, because some of y'all don't want
[38:28] Speaker 2: the good men. Like just like whatever you're you think
[38:30] Speaker 2: is good and they're single, and you also want them
[38:32] Speaker 2: to get hooked up with somebody, Will you please DM
[38:35] Speaker 2: me or the cocktails page and then figure like we
[38:37] Speaker 2: can figure it out.
[38:38] Speaker 3: The age range is.
[38:39] Speaker 2: I'm currently looking for a man, an older man for
[38:41] Speaker 2: an older, beautiful woman who is very successful. How old
[38:45] Speaker 2: I don't know how.
[38:45] Speaker 3: Old she is, but she's older.
[38:46] Speaker 2: He can be like forty five and up and he's
[38:49] Speaker 2: to be forty five and up for that one.
[38:50] Speaker 3: So send me a few forty five and ups.
[38:52] Speaker 2: Send me some of y'all daddies and uncles and stuff
[38:54] Speaker 2: and cousins, and then also send me somebody you know
[38:57] Speaker 2: late thirties to forties, So y'all send them, send them
[39:01] Speaker 2: in so we so I can play. I want to
[39:02] Speaker 2: just play.
[39:03] Speaker 1: We did a Patreon live I guess it was last September,
[39:07] Speaker 1: and we were talking about one of the old advice letters,
[39:13] Speaker 1: and then we were talking about it with our patrons.
[39:15] Speaker 1: So patriots will get first priority. But y'all need to
[39:19] Speaker 1: send that stuff in, send your pictures, send your profiles in.
[39:21] Speaker 1: And even wants to help you. I'm gonna look, I'll
[39:23] Speaker 1: help her. I'll be her assistant.
[39:25] Speaker 3: Do you know any older men that are single?
[39:28] Speaker 1: Not that I would recommend. I know, I know trifling ones.
[39:31] Speaker 1: I know one trifling. I would never put them onto
[39:35] Speaker 1: anybody unless you wanted your world to collapse.
[39:41] Speaker 3: H wow.
[39:44] Speaker 1: I just don't have any trust in them, and I
[39:45] Speaker 1: would never want to stick my neck out say oh
[39:48] Speaker 1: I know that. Nope, nope, nope, no, because I know
[39:51] Speaker 1: how you do the women, and you're not about to
[39:52] Speaker 1: be messing up our cocktails people and have them upset
[39:55] Speaker 1: with us and then on you because I'm just your assistant,
[39:58] Speaker 1: so it's gonna.
[39:58] Speaker 2: Be on you.
[39:59] Speaker 1: But then in the match and they're gonna be like
[40:00] Speaker 1: her matchmaking is shitty.
[40:03] Speaker 3: When now I'm at court, you are a baby, and.
[40:05] Speaker 1: Then I don't care, and yeah, we're not having those problems.
[40:09] Speaker 1: Yeah I don't. I don't know any good quality ones.
[40:12] Speaker 1: But if I do find some, because constantly mean. People's
[40:16] Speaker 1: relationships change. The last person I met who I felt
[40:19] Speaker 1: like might be a quality match is my brother that
[40:21] Speaker 1: I met on ancestory dot com. But he got a
[40:23] Speaker 1: new girl.
[40:24] Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, but.
[40:27] Speaker 1: I had when we went and when we went to
[40:29] Speaker 1: Seattle last year, he was in a relationship. I don't
[40:34] Speaker 1: know what's going on with that. I guess I should
[40:35] Speaker 1: call him or something. My dad asked for a match again,
[40:39] Speaker 1: like I said, refer to what I said thirty five
[40:42] Speaker 1: seconds ago. No, he wants a nurse, a housekeeper, a cook.
[40:46] Speaker 1: I said, you want hired help. That is not what
[40:49] Speaker 1: a partner should be in my mind. So I ain't
[40:54] Speaker 1: got nobody for you.
[40:55] Speaker 2: Baby.
[40:55] Speaker 1: You should have did that twenty thirty, forty fifty years ago,
[41:00] Speaker 1: even would have been appropriate, because you all now that's
[41:03] Speaker 1: what happens.
[41:05] Speaker 2: Well, you know, I guess we can tackle some of
[41:08] Speaker 2: these things topics that are on here. If our guest
[41:13] Speaker 2: isn't here in which I think I heard of it.
[41:14] Speaker 1: It's here, but we can do. Let's do like two
[41:16] Speaker 1: or three and we can save the rest for another day.
[41:18] Speaker 2: Okay.
[41:19] Speaker 1: I found I was on BuzzFeed. I love BuzzFeed because
[41:23] Speaker 1: I love a listicle, but I don't know what's going
[41:26] Speaker 1: on their website because it's very slow to load. Y'all
[41:28] Speaker 1: got to get that under control. But there were a
[41:32] Speaker 1: lot of different ones about different dating things. So pull
[41:35] Speaker 1: some stuff about, like some toxic traits that people have.
[41:42] Speaker 1: So I thought it might be interesting for us to
[41:45] Speaker 1: go through and pick and choose a few. We'll just
[41:47] Speaker 1: do like three or four today and we'll share if
[41:50] Speaker 1: we've experienced these and with the experience, have we been
[41:54] Speaker 1: the one who did it or were we on the
[41:57] Speaker 1: receiving end?
[41:59] Speaker 2: What's your f one?
[42:00] Speaker 1: Okay, let me open up my phone again. All right,
[42:03] Speaker 1: So first one is stonewalling. Okay, so this therapist did
[42:15] Speaker 1: they consult it doctor or butch orton? It doesn't matter
[42:20] Speaker 1: the doctor, doctor, oh said stone Walling is when a
[42:24] Speaker 1: partner leaves the room and the and the partner without
[42:27] Speaker 1: saying anything or addressing their concerns or their partner's concerned,
[42:31] Speaker 1: so they just leave, kind of like ghosting, but more
[42:34] Speaker 1: in an immediate sense, which you haven't left the home.
[42:37] Speaker 3: You're in the middle of a disagreement or argument, and
[42:39] Speaker 3: it's just like.
[42:40] Speaker 1: It's just like giving a silent treatment. So it's just
[42:42] Speaker 1: like you know what, I'm not saying shit else I'm
[42:44] Speaker 1: just gonna leave. I'm gonna retreat.
[42:46] Speaker 2: I've been on both sides of it. I've been the
[42:48] Speaker 2: one doing it and I've had it done to me.
[42:52] Speaker 1: And how did it feel when it was done to you?
[42:55] Speaker 1: It was horrible?
[42:56] Speaker 2: Like it feels like after so long it be feeling.
[42:59] Speaker 1: Like abuse, Like, bro, what do you do or the
[43:03] Speaker 1: last time it happened? If you can remember it?
[43:05] Speaker 2: Really, it depends on like what it is, if like
[43:08] Speaker 2: if I really because when that happens, when the person
[43:10] Speaker 2: is doing it, Tea, it's like you probably are the
[43:12] Speaker 2: one who did the wrong thing or whatever it was
[43:14] Speaker 2: your fault, like you caused whatever.
[43:16] Speaker 3: This whole discussion was.
[43:17] Speaker 2: Over, And so that makes me feel really bad when
[43:20] Speaker 2: anybody does it to me, like and I can't even
[43:25] Speaker 2: do it that long to like somebody that I really loved.
[43:27] Speaker 2: But when you can really go along.
[43:28] Speaker 1: With it, what's long?
[43:31] Speaker 2: The whole day so long, like you get up and
[43:34] Speaker 2: get out of the conversation is like I'm done talking
[43:37] Speaker 2: about it, and then you just don't say anything and
[43:38] Speaker 2: then you leave because like I don't know, not that
[43:40] Speaker 2: I haven't done it before. I have, and I'm not
[43:42] Speaker 2: proud of it. I don't think same.
[43:44] Speaker 3: It doesn't feel good.
[43:45] Speaker 2: It really does feel like, oh my gosh, like you're
[43:46] Speaker 2: really not talking to me. And then I instantly go
[43:49] Speaker 2: to I'm dramatic. I go to like, Okay, we don't
[43:51] Speaker 2: left the house, we're not talking to each other. What
[43:52] Speaker 2: if something happens to somebody, that's the last thing we're
[43:55] Speaker 2: gonna remember, and it's gonna be. Now I'm falling out
[43:59] Speaker 2: hanging on the cab and you didn't have to do that.
[44:01] Speaker 1: When it's like, let's Kingdom come. You said that movie
[44:06] Speaker 1: when Jada Pinkett fell out at that funeral.
[44:09] Speaker 2: I mean I think about that all yeah, because your
[44:11] Speaker 2: last words with somebody was probably crazy or just non existent.
[44:13] Speaker 2: That's not going to feel good. So I don't like
[44:15] Speaker 2: to I've gotten better with that type of thing. It's like,
[44:19] Speaker 2: let's just say, hey, I think let's take a little break.
[44:21] Speaker 2: I don't want to really talk about it anymore.
[44:24] Speaker 1: That's what makes you do that, though, makes you stonewall
[44:27] Speaker 1: when you're the one doing it to someone else.
[44:30] Speaker 2: You have really pissed me off, like or you but
[44:33] Speaker 2: like how maybe you said something that was like a.
[44:38] Speaker 3: Not necessarily disrespectful, a.
[44:40] Speaker 2: Dig or you really like hit a nerve that you
[44:44] Speaker 2: know how sometimes you know certain intimate things about somebody
[44:47] Speaker 2: that really could crush them, Like we know that about
[44:49] Speaker 2: our best friends, we know what about it if you
[44:51] Speaker 2: got a manager, even if you just laid up with somebody,
[44:53] Speaker 2: there's certain things you know about people worry about.
[44:54] Speaker 3: I said, low blow, see a low blow? You hit
[44:58] Speaker 3: me with a low blow.
[44:59] Speaker 2: I can normally communic hate through most things, but if
[45:01] Speaker 2: it's a low blow, I would like, I want to hate.
[45:04] Speaker 3: You for real, and so I got to get up
[45:07] Speaker 3: and walk out.
[45:08] Speaker 1: I totally agree. If it's a low blow, I'm getting silent,
[45:12] Speaker 1: and I want you to be as scared as my
[45:14] Speaker 1: brother in law is of his middle child, more scared.
[45:19] Speaker 1: And I'm scared too, because it's just like, Okay, is
[45:22] Speaker 1: this going to be the moment that you snap? Is
[45:24] Speaker 1: your story going to end on Oxygen, own Lifetime or
[45:29] Speaker 1: Phulu hopefully at least Netflix, but like, hopefully it doesn't
[45:33] Speaker 1: have to go there. You know, Netflix will glamorize it
[45:37] Speaker 1: for you. But I think about that low blows or
[45:40] Speaker 1: the other thing that's not as dramatic, because I'm totally
[45:43] Speaker 1: with you on that. The other thing is when I'm
[45:45] Speaker 1: talking and I feel like you're convinced that you don't
[45:50] Speaker 1: want to understand me or that you can't understand me,
[45:52] Speaker 1: so you're not really listening and you're just it's too combative.
[45:56] Speaker 1: It's just like, Okay, I'm trying to pivot and like
[45:59] Speaker 1: meet you where you at or overthink things. I'm trying
[46:03] Speaker 1: to reach a resolve because no matter the argument, I
[46:05] Speaker 1: do want to reach a resolve. If I don't care
[46:07] Speaker 1: about a resolve, I'm not going to even engage. That's
[46:11] Speaker 1: gonna be a different type of stonewall. That's gonna be
[46:13] Speaker 1: stone hinge. I'll be in the Faery Mountains in the
[46:17] Speaker 1: UK somewhere, but I won't because I can do that.
[46:20] Speaker 1: But if I will talk at least a little bit
[46:22] Speaker 1: or instapone or whatever, I care. But it's frustrating when
[46:27] Speaker 1: it feels like you are convinced on disagreeing or not
[46:32] Speaker 1: understanding or not listening, and that is so hard to
[46:34] Speaker 1: get through. It is hard to get through, and especially
[46:36] Speaker 1: when I'm wrong.
[46:39] Speaker 2: It's really funny that we're talking about this because I'm
[46:41] Speaker 2: reading a book right now on audible or on audiobooks
[46:43] Speaker 2: dot Com. They have a whole special going in is
[46:46] Speaker 2: for you for thirty days.
[46:47] Speaker 1: I know that's right. I love a deal, so do I.
[46:49] Speaker 2: And so there's this book that I'm reading that my
[46:51] Speaker 2: brother suggested to me. It's called Fight Right. Have you
[46:54] Speaker 2: heard about it? No?
[46:55] Speaker 1: But let me add it to let me check all
[46:57] Speaker 1: the girl because I got two credits.
[47:00] Speaker 2: Download this book. I'm almost already done with it. Fight
[47:03] Speaker 2: Fight Right by Julian and John Gotman. Julie and John Gotman,
[47:07] Speaker 2: they're married and their therapist and they do these studies
[47:10] Speaker 2: on They got forty thousand couples together, goddamn forty thousand
[47:16] Speaker 2: to get this, to get this research and this data.
[47:18] Speaker 1: It goes two hundred and sixteen. They got five stars
[47:22] Speaker 1: on Audible. Y'all show the god whoever's reading it, whether
[47:25] Speaker 1: it's them or somebody else, that makes a difference.
[47:27] Speaker 3: It is a very good book.
[47:29] Speaker 2: I thought it was gonna be one of books where
[47:30] Speaker 2: you reading and it's like, you know how people make
[47:32] Speaker 2: the couple of books, and it's like, but you don't
[47:33] Speaker 2: know everything about it.
[47:34] Speaker 1: I don't read couple's books, so we're gonna find out.
[47:36] Speaker 2: But part like it's like Okay, this is not like relatable.
[47:39] Speaker 2: It's so really I'm not a married person, and it's
[47:41] Speaker 2: about like married people. And they they literally created this
[47:45] Speaker 2: whole research, Like they research couples, and they research like
[47:50] Speaker 2: how you fight and like the like even the most
[47:54] Speaker 2: healthiest relationships.
[47:56] Speaker 1: I wonder, actually, wait, is this the same author. Oh no,
[48:01] Speaker 1: this is a different person from one of those articles
[48:03] Speaker 1: that I saved. I think that they were contributors to
[48:06] Speaker 1: the article one of the articles that I say from BuzzFeed.
[48:09] Speaker 3: I wonder.
[48:10] Speaker 2: But they study these partners, They study these couples literally,
[48:13] Speaker 2: there are certain parts of the study where they put
[48:17] Speaker 2: them up to a computer, like with the tubes and
[48:19] Speaker 2: stuff to see how your heart rate, your blood rises
[48:23] Speaker 2: when an argument happens. They record you in an argument.
[48:26] Speaker 2: They bring up hard discussions that everybody has, like one
[48:29] Speaker 2: argument that you just always have in your relationship. And
[48:32] Speaker 2: they talk about how like people look at conflict in
[48:35] Speaker 2: a relationship like it's a bad thing, when actually it's
[48:37] Speaker 2: a really good thing. Even the most worst of conflicts.
[48:41] Speaker 2: You shouldn't be hitting each other. That's different when abuse
[48:43] Speaker 2: comes in. But conflict is it helps you, It gives
[48:48] Speaker 2: you a moment of intimacy, like to get closer to
[48:51] Speaker 2: somebody because there's a problem. We need to get to
[48:53] Speaker 2: the bottom of it. But you probably never will. Like
[48:55] Speaker 2: they actually talk about in the book, how eighty eight
[48:57] Speaker 2: percent or some crazy number or crazy high number of
[49:00] Speaker 2: problems are not solvable. You can't solve some of the
[49:04] Speaker 2: problems in as a couple. It's you have to learn
[49:07] Speaker 2: how to talk about them and get your feelings out
[49:09] Speaker 2: and listen to each other and work through. But they're
[49:12] Speaker 2: not solvable there I think they said perpetual, and that
[49:16] Speaker 2: is and people try to get to this resolve and
[49:17] Speaker 2: that's when people get mad because it's like, there's really
[49:19] Speaker 2: not anything we can solve about this. Most of the
[49:21] Speaker 2: arguments come from fear, dreams not being not coming true.
[49:25] Speaker 2: Finding You have to learn how to like just maneuver
[49:27] Speaker 2: these conversations as an adult, and that gets hard because
[49:30] Speaker 2: emotions get involved. Your blood pressure starts rise and heart
[49:32] Speaker 2: starts beating. And they actually said that a lot of
[49:35] Speaker 2: men die from that. You got to read the book, bitch,
[49:37] Speaker 2: it was so great.
[49:38] Speaker 1: I'm always looking up things while men be having heart
[49:41] Speaker 1: attexts because y'all be checking out, And I know it's
[49:43] Speaker 1: because y'all be stressed out about stuff. And I was
[49:46] Speaker 1: talking to some men one day. I can't remember what
[49:48] Speaker 1: the situation was, but I was like, this is exactly
[49:51] Speaker 1: why y'all feel like you got a hole things in
[49:54] Speaker 1: and y'all, this is why you blood pressure hot. It's
[49:56] Speaker 1: not what you ate. Well, that's a contribute in factor,
[50:00] Speaker 1: but on top of that bullshit that you ate, you
[50:03] Speaker 1: also are holding things in or and it started having
[50:05] Speaker 1: arguments and expecting somebody to change and you know they
[50:08] Speaker 1: want and then you're choosing to stay there and it's
[50:10] Speaker 1: like your blood pressure gonna be high.
[50:12] Speaker 2: But it's also starting to get my ours because, like
[50:13] Speaker 2: I do, I love men and I love the conversation
[50:16] Speaker 2: of men being like we can't. We wasn't raised to
[50:19] Speaker 2: talk about our feelings. Yeah, but we're in a new
[50:21] Speaker 2: state in the world and it's like we're trying to
[50:23] Speaker 2: help everybody talk about their feelings. And now we're in
[50:25] Speaker 2: a moment where you can talk about your feelings. Talk
[50:27] Speaker 2: about your feelings, even if it's a little inch, that's
[50:29] Speaker 2: better than yesterday.
[50:30] Speaker 3: Bro, say something you holding it in it don't feel good?
[50:32] Speaker 1: Say something I feel you on that because it's like Okay,
[50:36] Speaker 1: I don't. At this point, we are one hundred years old.
[50:40] Speaker 1: Why are we talking about how we were raised. If
[50:43] Speaker 1: we can also sit here and share with each other
[50:46] Speaker 1: that we don't like some things from the past, why
[50:48] Speaker 1: are we gonna keep doing the shit that we've already
[50:51] Speaker 1: I just tried in some bullshit.
[50:53] Speaker 2: I do some research the other day with a man
[50:55] Speaker 2: and he was like, it was easy for women. I
[50:57] Speaker 2: hate that conversation. It's not easy. It's still very hard,
[51:00] Speaker 2: it's still embarrassing.
[51:02] Speaker 1: You need to be upset and crying sometimes I be crying.
[51:04] Speaker 2: I don't want to be crying.
[51:05] Speaker 1: I don't want to be washed like I want to
[51:07] Speaker 1: listen to something besides Fly like a Bird by Myrick
[51:10] Speaker 1: Carey that I had to repeat all more, and the
[51:13] Speaker 1: only way to get me out of it I had
[51:14] Speaker 1: to turn on Jeezy? Is that really how I need
[51:17] Speaker 1: to have my day?
[51:19] Speaker 2: Well?
[51:19] Speaker 1: Forty five? Just no, it's not about time. It's not
[51:24] Speaker 1: just time. I should not be listening to Jeezy. She
[51:27] Speaker 1: turned on Kirk Franklin, But then I thought about his
[51:29] Speaker 1: porn addiction, and it cycled me back to the bullshit
[51:31] Speaker 1: that I knew.
[51:32] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not easy, and I don't like when me
[51:35] Speaker 2: saying it's easy for y'all. It's really not easy, y'all,
[51:36] Speaker 2: but it doesn't feel good to hold it in, like,
[51:39] Speaker 2: oh my god.
[51:39] Speaker 1: It's not easy to be super emotional. And I hate
[51:42] Speaker 1: when the men. I ain't gonna harp on y'all too
[51:44] Speaker 1: bad today because we wrap this up, but I hate
[51:46] Speaker 1: with a man talk about how emotional women are as
[51:50] Speaker 1: they're y'all. Are y'all show it, maybe in different ways.
[51:53] Speaker 1: Maybe you're not crying in front of us or wileside,
[51:56] Speaker 1: but y'all be doing some fuck shit. Okay, I have
[51:58] Speaker 1: one more that I want to bring up. We'll definitely
[52:01] Speaker 1: save this one, not delete this from the dogs, and
[52:03] Speaker 1: we can get into this another time because we've got
[52:05] Speaker 1: plenty more episodes to record this year. But one thing
[52:09] Speaker 1: that to which one do I want? Okay, I'm gonna
[52:14] Speaker 1: pick what dismissing your partner's feelings. I cannot stand when
[52:20] Speaker 1: something bothers me and I've brought it up, and if
[52:27] Speaker 1: I've brought it up, I did do a lot of
[52:28] Speaker 1: overthinking because that is me and I'm working through it.
[52:31] Speaker 1: But I bring it up and then you dismiss it
[52:34] Speaker 1: as if my feelings are invalid, they don't matter, or
[52:37] Speaker 1: it's like you're overreacting, you're being emotional. That is extremely
[52:41] Speaker 1: frustrating for somebody to dismiss your feelings about whatever. I
[52:45] Speaker 1: would rather you talk about them and tell me you
[52:48] Speaker 1: didn't see it that way and you're sorry, and you
[52:51] Speaker 1: can even have a short response to it because it
[52:53] Speaker 1: wasn't a big deal to you and you didn't know.
[52:56] Speaker 1: But to act like I'm tripping because I feel away
[52:59] Speaker 1: like these are my feeling Have you ever been in
[53:01] Speaker 1: a situation where somebody was like making you feel like
[53:04] Speaker 1: your feelings were just like, girl, what you're talking about.
[53:07] Speaker 2: I've done both. I've literally been on both sides of it.
[53:11] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and it's frustrating. It's like, I think
[53:17] Speaker 1: that when you are in a situation where because I've
[53:20] Speaker 1: been on the other side where it's like you talking
[53:22] Speaker 1: about some bullshit, maybe just don't say that out loud.
[53:26] Speaker 2: I don't feel it, And if you do feel you
[53:28] Speaker 2: should just be curious and ask the question like what
[53:31] Speaker 2: exact can you explain?
[53:32] Speaker 1: Ask more questions when you want to say what the
[53:35] Speaker 1: fuck you talk about? Pause, take a deep breath and
[53:39] Speaker 1: think about it. If you were in their shoes and
[53:42] Speaker 1: you had an issue, it obviously wouldn't be this one,
[53:44] Speaker 1: because in your mind is some bullshit. How would you feel?
[53:47] Speaker 1: What do you think is going on? Just don't dismiss it,
[53:49] Speaker 1: because when somebody is building up the courage to address
[53:53] Speaker 1: an issue, a concern or whatever, when you do that shit,
[53:56] Speaker 1: it's just like you don't know if your chef is
[53:59] Speaker 1: going to be on, if your tires will be slashed,
[54:02] Speaker 1: or if they'll be jump.
[54:04] Speaker 2: How do you know?
[54:05] Speaker 1: You just never know what's going on? I told you
[54:08] Speaker 1: jump anyway. Okay, well, we'll move on said we don't
[54:14] Speaker 1: get too deep in the crazy pool, so we can
[54:16] Speaker 1: get to the next episode before we get into advice, though,
[54:19] Speaker 1: we will move on to Indecisive Diane, and we'll table
[54:22] Speaker 1: the rest of these little talking points for another day.
[54:24] Speaker 1: But y'all, let us know. What are some things that
[54:28] Speaker 1: you feel like upset you or you feel like your
[54:33] Speaker 1: partner might not understand, like little issues. Are things that
[54:35] Speaker 1: you get in fights about that could be red flags
[54:38] Speaker 1: or deal breakers that you wish you had the words
[54:42] Speaker 1: to express properly how you feel and why it's important
[54:45] Speaker 1: to you. Let us know in the comments or in
[54:47] Speaker 1: a message dm whatever, email, it doesn't matter, Okay. So
[54:50] Speaker 1: we'll go on to Indecisive Diane, and when we come back,
[54:52] Speaker 1: it's time for advice.
[54:56] Speaker 3: Would you stop.
[54:56] Speaker 2: Thinking about what everyone wants? Stop thinking about what I'm want?
[55:00] Speaker 2: What do you want? What your parents want?
[55:02] Speaker 5: What do you want?
[55:03] Speaker 3: What do you want?
[55:05] Speaker 4: What do you want?
[55:08] Speaker 3: What do you want?
[55:13] Speaker 6: Hey, ladies, it's me Diane and I want to remind
[55:18] Speaker 6: you let your hair down.
[55:19] Speaker 3: For New Year's Eve.
[55:21] Speaker 6: Coffee Beanjean is hosting a really nice retreat, a hot
[55:25] Speaker 6: yoga retreat all levels with Elizabeth Gilbert and Paradise and Vibe.
[55:31] Speaker 3: Go to Paradise and.
[55:32] Speaker 6: Vibe dot com to start your payment plan or if
[55:35] Speaker 6: you're a rich bitch paying fool. But if you're not,
[55:38] Speaker 6: it's all right. They have a firm. Happy New Year.
[55:41] Speaker 4: Bye.
[56:11] Speaker 1: All right, So we are back from Indecisive Diane, and
[56:13] Speaker 1: it is time for the advice. If you have a
[56:15] Speaker 1: question that you would like to ask us on the show,
[56:17] Speaker 1: email us ask cocktails at cocktailspot dot com. Okay, so
[56:24] Speaker 1: or sorry advice. I don't know why I said ask
[56:27] Speaker 1: cocktails advice at cocktail spot dot com.
[56:31] Speaker 2: That mayby made up a whole new email.
[56:32] Speaker 1: That was the old email asked cocktails at Gmail.
[56:35] Speaker 2: Okay, we'll read one advice. So this one is titled
[56:38] Speaker 2: should I send my boobs or not? Hey, ladies, I
[56:42] Speaker 2: love the show and I love y'all. Here's my dilemma.
[56:44] Speaker 2: I've been seeing this guy for about a year and
[56:46] Speaker 2: a half. He's pretty cool and I enjoy spending time
[56:49] Speaker 2: with him. In the time we've spent together, we have
[56:52] Speaker 2: built a deep bond in connection. He's a great time
[56:55] Speaker 2: and I enjoy spending time with him. She said, that's
[56:57] Speaker 2: several times. The sex is great and that's not the problem.
[57:00] Speaker 2: He often asked me for sexy pictures, and even though
[57:02] Speaker 2: I'm thirty, that's something I've never done before. You know,
[57:06] Speaker 2: if you scared, I get it. That is the scariest
[57:09] Speaker 2: thing if.
[57:10] Speaker 1: You haven't done it. Yeah, it's kind of like what
[57:12] Speaker 1: it did.
[57:12] Speaker 2: Be scary. It's just like what you doing to do
[57:14] Speaker 2: with the picture you're gonna show somebody, Okay, not just
[57:17] Speaker 2: with not just with Current Bay, but with no one ever.
[57:20] Speaker 2: I know that's crazy, No it's not, but something you see,
[57:23] Speaker 2: something has always stopped me from sending them. I really
[57:26] Speaker 2: liked Current Bay, so I wanted to be more open
[57:27] Speaker 2: to exploring nudes with him. A while ago, Medina talked
[57:30] Speaker 2: about an app for sending sexy messages and pictures and
[57:33] Speaker 2: we tried it. When I sent a teaser in the app,
[57:36] Speaker 2: he basically roasted me. Was it fieled? No? Remember that app?
[57:41] Speaker 2: And it was like I played with it for a
[57:44] Speaker 2: little bit. It was really fun. I can't remember the
[57:45] Speaker 2: name of it. And it would give you could play
[57:47] Speaker 2: little games and it would be like.
[57:48] Speaker 3: Oh, the guy was based in La.
[57:50] Speaker 1: It was yeah, I do remember, though vaguely.
[57:54] Speaker 2: Damn okay, so damn that's me. So he basically started
[57:58] Speaker 2: roasting me, calling me child for sending my boobs covered
[58:01] Speaker 2: up now. I ad meant the picture was modest, but
[58:04] Speaker 2: I was trying to see how the app worked before
[58:06] Speaker 2: taking my tea out.
[58:08] Speaker 1: Very classic. Well that's just.
[58:10] Speaker 2: That just discouraged me completely told and I told him
[58:13] Speaker 2: I didn't want to use the app anymore. Fast forward
[58:15] Speaker 2: to now, and he asked pretty frequently for them and
[58:17] Speaker 2: I still haven't given him. Usually when he asked me,
[58:21] Speaker 2: I respond with telling him to come see them in person. However,
[58:24] Speaker 2: lately this has turned into a much bigger conversation in
[58:26] Speaker 2: our relationship. And he feels that I don't trust him
[58:29] Speaker 2: because I don't send him naked pictures. On one hand,
[58:32] Speaker 2: I said, and don't because the fact that he got
[58:36] Speaker 2: an attitude whow On one hand, I don't want this
[58:40] Speaker 2: to get in the way and I don't want him
[58:42] Speaker 2: to feel like I don't trust him. On the other hand,
[58:44] Speaker 2: we have had to work through some other things, and
[58:47] Speaker 2: sometimes he talks like, if I just started sending him nudes,
[58:49] Speaker 2: our problems would be fixed. I'm not delusional. Sending nuds
[58:53] Speaker 2: won't fix all of our other issues. Should I hold
[58:55] Speaker 2: out on sending him my tits until our other issues
[58:59] Speaker 2: are resolved? Her? Am I overthinking it sent from my iPhone?
[59:04] Speaker 1: Well, iPhone? I don't think that you're wrong. I think
[59:07] Speaker 1: that him having all these issues that is raising all
[59:11] Speaker 1: the rape red flags to me. I don't like it.
[59:13] Speaker 1: He should not be that thirsty for your naked pictures,
[59:16] Speaker 1: especially when porn hub is still free.
[59:19] Speaker 2: I do.
[59:21] Speaker 1: But if she sent it and he's like, oh, well
[59:24] Speaker 1: you need to send it and they have other issues,
[59:26] Speaker 1: you still.
[59:27] Speaker 2: For the town Because it's, like she said, he roast her.
[59:30] Speaker 2: When she said roast, I'm not always going to be
[59:32] Speaker 2: like a roast. He just was like, you really you
[59:35] Speaker 2: really modest with the titties.
[59:36] Speaker 1: Well that's all he said. Or he roasted her, and
[59:39] Speaker 1: she's saying that she's modest because I heard it as
[59:43] Speaker 1: she's saying she's modest, but he roasted her first, because
[59:47] Speaker 1: I'm like, why would you roast somebody?
[59:48] Speaker 2: He roasted me, He called me childish, persent in my
[59:50] Speaker 2: boobs covered that. I thought he was like talking about
[59:52] Speaker 2: her titties, like that's all you got, like something like that.
[59:55] Speaker 1: Okay, he's saying like, bitch, why are you covering that
[59:57] Speaker 1: shit up? I've already put them in my mouth and
[59:59] Speaker 1: you wrote on my ass like what, I don't know,
[1:00:02] Speaker 1: that's a rose? Could have that could have been a
[1:00:04] Speaker 1: flirt moment. She felt like it was a rose. So
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: it's also like you gotta be conscious of the other
[1:00:11] Speaker 1: person's feelings and if you are making her uncomfortable, what
[1:00:13] Speaker 1: the fuck is gonna make her want to send pictures?
[1:00:15] Speaker 1: You had to send the pictures.
[1:00:17] Speaker 3: I get it.
[1:00:17] Speaker 2: I think if you like him, I think it should
[1:00:19] Speaker 2: be a conversation and just be like, dang, not really
[1:00:21] Speaker 2: hurt my feelings And it made me feel uncomfortable and
[1:00:23] Speaker 2: then see if y'all can move forward still with sending
[1:00:25] Speaker 2: sexy pictures, and then maybe he can help you and
[1:00:28] Speaker 2: y'all can have a cute little date night where he
[1:00:30] Speaker 2: tries to like take the pictures of you, and this
[1:00:32] Speaker 2: whole negative can be turned into a positive. CEIs that's
[1:00:35] Speaker 2: what I think. I don't think it's that big of
[1:00:36] Speaker 2: a deal. But if you think it's that big of
[1:00:39] Speaker 2: a deal, talk to him about it and be like,
[1:00:40] Speaker 2: that really hurt my feelings.
[1:00:42] Speaker 1: I definitely agree to a certain extent that you should
[1:00:45] Speaker 1: talk to him. Tell him it could be cute for
[1:00:47] Speaker 1: him to take the pictures, and maybe if you do
[1:00:49] Speaker 1: it in person it could be like fun. But open up,
[1:00:53] Speaker 1: let him know you're a little shy, you're scared, you
[1:00:54] Speaker 1: never done this before. But if he's still making jokes
[1:00:57] Speaker 1: and shit, bitch, are you a comedian, let me go
[1:00:59] Speaker 1: see you at your sh show. Not in my text messages,
[1:01:02] Speaker 1: I wouldn't like it. So just see how he reacts
[1:01:04] Speaker 1: to you telling him it made you feel uncomfortable or
[1:01:07] Speaker 1: you felt like he was playing you, or you know,
[1:01:10] Speaker 1: making things too light when it is serious to you,
[1:01:13] Speaker 1: And see how he reacts. Because I'm not sending nobody.
[1:01:16] Speaker 1: I'll send news to a lot of people, but I'm
[1:01:19] Speaker 1: not sending them if you roasted me. Now, that's where
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: the book stops, and it doesn't stop too many week
[1:01:25] Speaker 1: let us let us know if you hit him up
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: and tell him this and take Medina's advice, and if
[1:01:31] Speaker 1: he's like, okay, if things soften up, but if he
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: still talks to you and it makes you uncomfortable, girl
[1:01:35] Speaker 1: a board mission. All right, So on that note, we'll
[1:01:38] Speaker 1: move on to the cocktails. And if you have a
[1:01:41] Speaker 1: cocktail that you want to share, and make sure you
[1:01:43] Speaker 1: email it to us cocktails at cocktailspod dot com.
[1:01:48] Speaker 5: Uh, but if you ain't got took on comfort? How
[1:01:58] Speaker 5: didn't mean you think no.
[1:02:02] Speaker 6: Cat?
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: Once upon a time, not long ago, I was all right,
[1:02:12] Speaker 1: this one says choot choo. I think, oh oh lord,
[1:02:17] Speaker 1: she's smiling though, so I think it might be the
[1:02:19] Speaker 1: emoji is a smiley woman some context. Twenty two year
[1:02:23] Speaker 1: old black girl dating a forty year old white guy.
[1:02:28] Speaker 1: All right, At the time of this story, we were
[1:02:33] Speaker 1: about two years in. Yeah, okay, looking back, I was
[1:02:37] Speaker 1: definitely trifling, but I knew that my boyfriend would bend
[1:02:40] Speaker 1: over backwards to keep me I had cheated on him
[1:02:43] Speaker 1: several times, and each time he still came crawling back.
[1:02:48] Speaker 1: It disgusted me, honestly, but at the same time I
[1:02:52] Speaker 1: used it. I told him the only way I'd stay
[1:02:55] Speaker 1: was if he let me fuck other men. Well, all right, girl,
[1:03:00] Speaker 1: life by the neck and tell it what you want,
[1:03:03] Speaker 1: and to her surprise, he agreed. It wasn't long before
[1:03:06] Speaker 1: he suggested putting an ad on Craigslist. How old is this.
[1:03:10] Speaker 3: Sweet, craigs, You're gonna get murdered.
[1:03:13] Speaker 1: They're gonna be on the first forty D or Hulu
[1:03:17] Speaker 1: or Snap or over or oxygen.
[1:03:20] Speaker 2: Apps like safe appslist.
[1:03:24] Speaker 1: They want to live life on the edge. They want
[1:03:26] Speaker 1: to be down at the truck stops. All right, lot lizards,
[1:03:29] Speaker 1: all right? Okay, So we got drunk one day and
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: the idea didn't seem so crazy. In fact, he thought
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: of random men coming over to fuck me in the
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: mid afternoon, and it turned me on. The first guy
[1:03:42] Speaker 1: came over and it was laughable. He was young and
[1:03:47] Speaker 1: so nervous that he could barely function. His hands were
[1:03:51] Speaker 1: trembling putting the condom on, and his stroke game was whap.
[1:03:56] Speaker 1: I wonder why even agreed to this. In the first place.
[1:03:59] Speaker 1: Maybe this thing was a mistake. After he left, we
[1:04:02] Speaker 1: sat down for a few minutes, then st bucket and
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: hit up the next dude. Second guy was older, not
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: really my type, but he knew how to handle He
[1:04:11] Speaker 1: knew how to handle himself. His stroke game was solid,
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: but again I wasn't feeling it. At this point. I
[1:04:18] Speaker 1: was reconsidering all of my life choices. Is this really
[1:04:23] Speaker 1: what's out here? Mediocre dick, that's the choice?
[1:04:28] Speaker 2: I was questioned?
[1:04:30] Speaker 1: Right, okay? Determined to not take a complete l loser,
[1:04:36] Speaker 1: I gambled on a third encounter. The inbox was flooded
[1:04:40] Speaker 1: at this point, but this particular guy caught my eye.
[1:04:43] Speaker 1: I was not ready. She put a period in between everything,
[1:04:48] Speaker 1: so I had to do it for dramatic effect. This man,
[1:04:52] Speaker 1: he walked in like he owned the room. A firefighter
[1:04:56] Speaker 1: with broad shoulders, strong hands, and a smile.
[1:05:00] Speaker 2: Firefighters do be fine, Like it's very rare that I
[1:05:03] Speaker 2: see an ugly firefighter. I'd be looking at them like
[1:05:05] Speaker 2: y'all do, especially the Atlanta ones. They'd be like fine,
[1:05:09] Speaker 2: I don't see him.
[1:05:10] Speaker 1: I trying not to burn my house down, but I
[1:05:11] Speaker 1: get it.
[1:05:12] Speaker 3: My mama standing outside Kroger. Allay, my mama.
[1:05:17] Speaker 1: Knows about the firefighters, so she does be burning houses down,
[1:05:20] Speaker 1: and but she said they'd be fine anyway. Okay. Before
[1:05:23] Speaker 1: I knew it, he was between my legs, and damn,
[1:05:27] Speaker 1: he knew how to eat puss it puss, puss it.
[1:05:32] Speaker 2: Well.
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: I didn't put a w in there. I just felt
[1:05:34] Speaker 1: like she might. I don't know, that's the vibe I got. Okay,
[1:05:38] Speaker 1: his mouth was doing things I didn't even know where possible,
[1:05:42] Speaker 1: and I was soaking it up, enjoying every second of it.
[1:05:47] Speaker 1: Mind you, the whole time my boyfriend was watching all
[1:05:52] Speaker 1: of these I forgot she had a boyfriend.
[1:05:53] Speaker 2: I didn't.
[1:05:54] Speaker 3: He's the one who invited the man over this job,
[1:05:56] Speaker 3: like slavery.
[1:05:57] Speaker 1: I forgot about all this shit. Okay, okay, okay, mind you.
[1:06:01] Speaker 1: The whole time my boyfriend was watching all of these encounters,
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: and he could tell that this was different. He became
[1:06:09] Speaker 1: more assertive and got pushy about joining in. Why was
[1:06:13] Speaker 1: he even there? Well, bitch, because he started up a
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: little annoyed. I took my boyfriend's dick into my mouth
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: while the firefo firefighter pounded me from behind. They both
[1:06:27] Speaker 1: came hard one in my mouth and the other on
[1:06:30] Speaker 1: my ass come dropping down, dropping dropping down my chin
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: and pussy. I cannot Yes, I let this stranger fuck
[1:06:43] Speaker 1: me raw, and I loved every second of it.
[1:06:49] Speaker 2: To come on as with a representative, to talk about aides.
[1:06:52] Speaker 1: Exactly, and this is this is the story. This is
[1:06:55] Speaker 1: not my story. Okay. The next day, damn, this is
[1:07:00] Speaker 1: a continuance. Okay. The next day, all three guys messaged
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: my boyfriend, thanking him and asking him for another round.
[1:07:07] Speaker 1: But I didn't care about the first two. The firefighter
[1:07:10] Speaker 1: was the only one on my mind. I considered reaching
[1:07:13] Speaker 1: out to him privately, but that's when something clicked. I
[1:07:17] Speaker 1: spoke candidly to my boyfriend about how I was feeling
[1:07:20] Speaker 1: and broke up with him. Well that clicked fast. Since then,
[1:07:25] Speaker 1: I've done nothing even remotely close to that. I'm now
[1:07:28] Speaker 1: in my mid thirties and have been This is a
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: major turn. I'm now my mid thirties and have been
