[0:00] Thank you for tuning into this message by David Entry.
[0:04] Every true revival is a product of the strong preaching of God's word.
[0:08] ! May you receive a word from this message that will spark a revival in you.
[0:12] In the book of Acts chapter 8.
[0:17] Thank you, Jesus.
[0:20] Acts 8, 26.
[0:21] And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying,
[0:25] Arise and go towards the south unto the way
[0:29] that goeth down from Jerusalem into Gaza, which is desert.
[0:40] And he arose and went, and behold, a man of Ethiopia,
[0:45] an eunuch of great authority under Candace,
[0:49] the queen of the Ethiopians,
[0:51] who had the charge of all her treasury,
[0:55] and had come to Jerusalem for to worship.
[0:59] was returning and sitting in his chariots,
[1:04] read Esaias, the prophet.
[1:07] Then the Spirit said unto Philip,
[1:10] Go near and join yourself to the chariot.
[1:14] And Philip ran thither to him,
[1:17] and heard him read the prophet Esaias,
[1:20] and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
[1:26] And he said, How can I,
[1:28] except some man should guide me?
[1:32] And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
[1:38] The place of the scripture which he read was this.
[1:42] He was led as a sheep to the slaughter,
[1:44] and like a lamb dam before his shearest,
[1:48] so opened he not his mouth.
[1:52] In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away,
[1:56] and who shall declare his generation?
[1:58] For his life is taken from the earth.
[2:03] And the eunuch answered Philip,
[2:06] and said, I pray thee,
[2:09] of whom speaketh the prophet this,
[2:12] of himself,
[2:13] or of some other man?
[2:15] Then Philip opened his mouth,
[2:17] and began at the same scripture,
[2:19] and preached unto him Jesus.
[2:23] And as they went on their way,
[2:26] they came unto a certain water,
[2:30] and the eunuch said,
[2:32] See, here is water.
[2:34] What doth hinder me to be baptized?
[2:39] And Philip said,
[2:40] If thou believeth with all thine hearts,
[2:43] thou mayest.
[2:44] And he answered and said,
[2:45] I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
[2:48] And he commanded the chariots to stand still,
[2:52] and they went down both into the water,
[2:55] both Philip and the eunuch,
[2:57] and he baptized him.
[2:59] And when they were come out of the water,
[3:03] the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip,
[3:06] that the eunuch saw him no more.
[3:09] And he went on his way rejoicing.
[3:11] But Philip was found at Azotus,
[3:16] and passing through,
[3:17] he preached in all the cities,
[3:20] till he came to Caesarea.
[3:23] Here ends the reading of God's word.
[3:25] Shall we please pray?
[3:27] Father, thank you so much
[3:28] for giving us the privilege to get into the word.
[3:31] We pray that give us illumination,
[3:34] understanding, enlightenment.
[3:36] For you said in your word
[3:38] that the entrance of your word
[3:40] brings light and gives understanding
[3:42] to the simple.
[3:43] Oh, teach us to know your word
[3:46] so we can apply our hearts unto wisdom.
[3:50] As your word is taught,
[3:51] let confusion be dispelled.
[3:53] Let doubt be removed.
[3:57] Let faith rise.
[4:00] Let manifestations of your power
[4:03] and your glory be the common occurrence
[4:05] as your word is taught.
[4:07] We pray, take us into avenues
[4:10] and chambers in your word
[4:11] which natural men can take us.
[4:14] We pray,
[4:15] give us understanding.
[4:18] Give us help.
[4:20] For our help is in your name.
[4:22] Thank you
[4:22] that our lives will be the same again.
[4:25] We are contacting dimensions of grace.
[4:28] That can only come
[4:30] through the teaching of your word.
[4:32] to the glory of your name
[4:34] in Jesus' name.
[4:35] Amen.
[4:38] It feels,
[4:39] it feels like the reading
[4:42] is so sweet.
[4:46] It feels like this is a reading
[4:47] that doesn't need explanation.
[4:52] It's so sweet and so nice.
[4:55] In our previous session,
[4:58] we saw how Philip,
[5:01] one of the seven
[5:03] who were chosen to serve tables.
[5:07] In Acts chapter 6,
[5:08] we are introduced to the seven
[5:10] starting with Stephen
[5:12] and then Philip.
[5:14] And then in Acts chapter 7,
[5:16] it was primarily about Stephen.
[5:20] Then in Acts chapter 8,
[5:22] we are introduced to Philip.
[5:25] So practically,
[5:26] almost all of Acts chapter 8
[5:28] is Philip.
[5:29] Acts chapter 7 is Stephen.
[5:31] Acts chapter 8 is Philip.
[5:34] And then you'll find out later
[5:36] that Acts chapter 9
[5:37] is the conversion
[5:38] of the greatest missionary.
[5:41] But Philip, we can see,
[5:42] was the first person
[5:44] to embark on a missionary trip.
[5:47] He introduced the church
[5:48] or missions in the church.
[5:51] Philip.
[5:52] So let's look at Philip again.
[5:53] We saw how he went down
[5:55] to Samaria,
[5:57] not because he planned
[5:58] to travel there,
[5:59] but because they were all scattering.
[6:01] And he ended up in Samaria.
[6:04] And we saw in our previous teaching
[6:07] how he preached in Samaria
[6:09] and even the sorcerer
[6:12] got attracted to follow him.
[6:14] And the whole city
[6:15] had so much joy
[6:17] because the word of God
[6:18] had come.
[6:19] So we saw the impact
[6:22] God made
[6:22] through Philip's ministry
[6:24] in Samaria.
[6:26] But something interesting happened.
[6:28] For God to make sure
[6:29] or to make a statement
[6:31] that what was happening
[6:33] in Samaria,
[6:34] even though the Samaritans
[6:35] and the Jews
[6:36] don't,
[6:38] they don't agree,
[6:39] they are not in good terms.
[6:41] God wanted to make sure
[6:43] that what had started
[6:44] in Samaria
[6:45] was intricately linked
[6:48] to what he had started
[6:49] in Jerusalem.
[6:51] As I said,
[6:51] so Peter and John,
[6:53] God,
[6:54] they didn't give them
[6:56] the Holy Spirit
[6:56] until Peter and John
[6:58] got there
[6:58] and prayed for them
[7:00] that they might receive,
[7:02] verse 17,
[7:02] that they might receive
[7:04] the Holy Spirit.
[7:05] But God could have given them
[7:07] that already.
[7:08] God wanted it to be clear
[7:10] to the Jews in Jerusalem
[7:11] that what is happening
[7:12] in Samaria
[7:13] is not different
[7:14] from what is happening
[7:14] in Jerusalem.
[7:15] And he wanted those
[7:16] in Samaria to also know
[7:17] that you are not detached
[7:19] from Jerusalem.
[7:20] So don't do your own thing.
[7:22] It's one body.
[7:23] One body.
[7:24] By one spirit
[7:25] have we been baptized
[7:26] into one body
[7:27] as the scriptures say
[7:29] in 1 Corinthians 12,
[7:30] verse 13.
[7:32] In Ephesians chapter 4
[7:33] it says that
[7:34] there is one spirit.
[7:35] Ephesians chapter 4,
[7:37] verse 4 and 5
[7:38] it says one spirit.
[7:39] So it's the same spirit
[7:41] who is awake
[7:41] in the church in Jerusalem
[7:42] who is also at work
[7:44] in the church in Samaria.
[7:46] And so one thing
[7:47] that I want to draw
[7:48] your attention to
[7:49] is after all that
[7:51] Simon the Sostra did,
[7:52] you know Simon the Sostra,
[7:53] I didn't get to tell you
[7:54] that there is a word
[7:56] called psi-money.
[7:58] Psi-money is to give money
[8:00] for church position
[8:02] or for promotion.
[8:04] So let's say
[8:04] you want to be a bishop,
[8:06] you pay, yeah.
[8:07] Psi-money is to give money
[8:09] so that you can be made
[8:10] a pastor.
[8:10] Give money
[8:12] so you can be made
[8:12] a bishop.
[8:13] It was quite common
[8:14] in the Middle Ages
[8:15] where,
[8:16] it's still common
[8:17] someplace now,
[8:18] where people pay
[8:18] their way
[8:19] to church authorities,
[8:21] ag-bishops,
[8:22] popes,
[8:23] bishops,
[8:23] they pay their way,
[8:24] they give them money
[8:25] so someone can be
[8:27] in the church
[8:27] not born again
[8:28] but can give money.
[8:29] Listen,
[8:29] I like that position.
[8:31] Can you make me a bishop?
[8:31] They pay, yeah.
[8:32] It's called psi-money
[8:33] and that tells you
[8:35] where it came from.
[8:36] It was derived
[8:36] from Simon Magus.
[8:39] Simon Magus,
[8:40] the magician
[8:40] who tried to buy
[8:42] office in the church,
[8:44] tried to buy
[8:44] relevance in the church,
[8:46] tried to buy
[8:47] importance in the church
[8:48] with his money.
[8:50] Psi-money,
[8:51] it is the buying
[8:52] or selling
[8:52] of advantages
[8:54] such as
[8:56] paid positions
[8:57] in the church.
[8:59] So,
[8:59] you are buying
[9:00] advantage by
[9:00] paying
[9:01] and getting
[9:02] into the,
[9:02] that's just
[9:03] for your information.
[9:04] So,
[9:04] Simon is a,
[9:05] it's a word
[9:06] that came from Simon.
[9:07] Now,
[9:08] after Simon Magus
[9:09] was rebuked,
[9:10] I saw something
[9:11] in verse 25
[9:12] that really
[9:12] thrilled my heart.
[9:14] Bible says,
[9:14] Peter and John
[9:15] and when they
[9:16] had testified
[9:17] and preached
[9:17] the word
[9:18] of the Lord,
[9:20] they returned
[9:20] to Jerusalem
[9:21] preaching the gospel
[9:23] in many villages.
[9:25] That's Simon and John.
[9:26] See,
[9:27] preaching was
[9:28] very regular.
[9:30] They actually,
[9:31] after they went
[9:31] to pray for them
[9:32] to receive
[9:32] the Holy Spirit baptism,
[9:34] they testified
[9:35] and preached
[9:36] the word of the,
[9:37] they testified
[9:38] and preached
[9:39] the word of the Lord.
[9:40] That's what
[9:41] they were actually doing.
[9:43] That's what
[9:43] the church life
[9:44] really is.
[9:45] The church life
[9:46] is about
[9:47] learning more
[9:49] of Christ
[9:50] from scripture.
[9:52] From scripture.
[9:53] Getting to know
[9:54] Jesus more and more.
[9:56] So,
[9:57] as I said
[9:57] at that time,
[9:58] it is necessary
[9:59] to,
[10:00] not minimize,
[10:02] a serious church
[10:03] must find
[10:04] every means
[10:04] to potentially
[10:05] eliminate
[10:06] pulpit entertainment
[10:07] and have
[10:09] Bible-centered
[10:11] preaching.
[10:13] Bible,
[10:14] I taught you
[10:14] the other time
[10:15] that one of the
[10:16] main signs
[10:17] of a true church
[10:18] is
[10:19] its biblical
[10:21] practices
[10:22] and biblical
[10:23] teachings.
[10:24] That's one of the
[10:25] main signs
[10:25] of a quality
[10:26] and a genuine
[10:27] church.
[10:28] The preaching
[10:28] is very biblical
[10:30] and it explains
[10:31] what the scripture
[10:32] says.
[10:34] So,
[10:34] these guys,
[10:35] that's their
[10:36] normal life.
[10:37] After they testified
[10:38] and preached
[10:40] the word of the Lord,
[10:41] they returned to
[10:41] Jerusalem and it's like
[10:43] from villages
[10:44] preaching,
[10:45] preaching the gospel,
[10:46] preaching the gospel,
[10:47] preaching the gospel.
[10:48] I believe God
[10:49] will be also
[10:49] working miracles.
[10:50] But focus was not
[10:51] given to the miracle,
[10:52] but the focus
[10:53] of giving to the
[10:53] preaching.
[10:54] Because the miracles
[10:55] are not essential.
[10:57] What are miracles
[10:57] without preaching?
[10:59] Yes,
[11:00] yes,
[11:00] yes.
[11:01] Satan can do it.
[11:02] Satan can do it.
[11:05] But God can use
[11:06] preaching without
[11:07] miracles.
[11:08] He does miracles
[11:09] to bring attention
[11:10] to the preaching.
[11:12] Miracles are signs.
[11:13] So,
[11:14] Bible says that,
[11:15] as I spoke about
[11:16] in verse 12,
[11:17] I like that text
[11:18] so much.
[11:18] but when they
[11:20] had believed
[11:20] Philip,
[11:21] as he preached
[11:22] the things
[11:23] concerning the
[11:24] kingdom of God
[11:25] and the name of,
[11:26] that's what he
[11:27] was preaching.
[11:28] Nothing else.
[11:30] He was preaching
[11:30] the things
[11:31] concerning the
[11:32] kingdom of God
[11:33] and the name of
[11:34] Jesus.
[11:35] Both men and
[11:35] women were baptized.
[11:36] Why?
[11:37] Someone,
[11:38] Margo's himself,
[11:39] got baptized
[11:40] and following
[11:41] Philip,
[11:42] wondering and
[11:43] following and
[11:43] was amazing,
[11:44] seeing the miracles.
[11:46] But you see,
[11:46] when someone,
[11:47] the social was
[11:48] mentioned,
[11:48] Bible put
[11:49] emphasis on
[11:50] miracles.
[11:50] That's what
[11:51] was brought in
[11:52] your attention,
[11:53] as I said.
[11:53] But when you
[11:54] look at the
[11:54] verse 12,
[11:55] Bible says that
[11:56] we believe the
[11:57] preaching.
[11:57] He was preaching
[11:58] and explaining
[11:59] the verse 12
[11:59] that he taught
[12:00] the things
[12:01] concerning the
[12:01] kingdom and
[12:02] that's why
[12:03] they were
[12:03] baptized,
[12:04] based on that,
[12:05] not based on
[12:06] the miracles.
[12:08] And so,
[12:09] miracles are not
[12:10] important,
[12:10] they are essential,
[12:12] they are necessary,
[12:13] but you can be
[12:14] saved without
[12:14] miracles.
[12:16] But you can,
[12:17] and then you,
[12:17] you can have
[12:19] miracles without
[12:20] being saved.
[12:21] You can have
[12:22] miracles without
[12:23] being saved.
[12:23] In fact,
[12:24] there are people
[12:24] who are following
[12:25] Jesus Christ,
[12:26] and when he
[12:27] multiplied the
[12:27] bread,
[12:28] he multiplied
[12:29] bread and fed
[12:30] them.
[12:30] John chapter 6,
[12:32] from verse 66,
[12:33] or something,
[12:33] the Bible says,
[12:34] and the disciples
[12:35] left him,
[12:36] they didn't follow
[12:36] him again.
[12:37] Meanwhile,
[12:37] from verse 20,
[12:38] they came to
[12:39] make him a king.
[12:40] They said,
[12:40] Jesus,
[12:41] they wanted to
[12:42] make,
[12:42] because of bread,
[12:43] they ate.
[12:43] when they
[12:45] saw the
[12:45] yeah,
[12:46] chapter 6,
[12:48] of John,
[12:49] verse 24,
[12:50] no,
[12:50] it can't be 24,
[12:51] 24,
[12:52] 25,
[12:53] 26,
[12:53] somewhere.
[12:54] Bible says
[12:54] that they
[12:55] decided to
[12:56] give him
[12:56] political
[12:56] advantage.
[12:58] Verse 15
[12:59] he said,
[13:00] and Jesus,
[13:01] okay,
[13:01] so verse 15
[13:02] says that when
[13:02] Jesus perceived
[13:03] that they were
[13:04] about to come
[13:05] and take him
[13:06] by force
[13:07] to make him
[13:08] king,
[13:09] he left
[13:09] there,
[13:10] so you can't,
[13:11] no,
[13:11] he left there.
[13:12] he left
[13:14] and went
[13:14] to the mountains
[13:15] alone.
[13:15] They wanted
[13:15] to make him
[13:16] king.
[13:16] Why?
[13:17] Because of
[13:18] the food
[13:18] they had
[13:19] eaten.
[13:20] These same
[13:20] people,
[13:21] these same
[13:22] people,
[13:23] in the verse
[13:24] 16,
[13:24] after Jesus
[13:25] taught,
[13:26] he taught
[13:26] them heavily
[13:27] from verse
[13:27] 30,
[13:28] about I'm
[13:29] the bread,
[13:29] your father's
[13:30] ate manna,
[13:31] I'm the bread
[13:31] that came
[13:32] from heaven,
[13:32] I'm the bread,
[13:33] unless you eat
[13:34] me,
[13:34] you don't
[13:34] have life,
[13:35] unless you
[13:35] drink my
[13:35] blood,
[13:36] and by
[13:37] verse
[13:38] 64,
[13:38] they said,
[13:39] this is a
[13:39] hard saying,
[13:39] who can listen
[13:40] to this?
[13:41] We don't like
[13:41] this preaching,
[13:43] they said,
[13:43] we don't
[13:44] like this
[13:44] preaching,
[13:44] this preaching
[13:45] is,
[13:45] ah,
[13:46] yeah,
[13:47] it says
[13:48] that,
[13:49] and therefore
[13:50] many of his
[13:50] disciples,
[13:51] when they
[13:51] heard this,
[13:53] they said,
[13:53] this is a
[13:53] hard saying,
[13:54] who can
[13:55] understand this?
[13:56] It is his
[13:57] preaching,
[13:58] they followed
[13:59] him to come
[13:59] and eat
[14:00] more,
[14:00] and he
[14:01] diverted
[14:02] their focus
[14:02] to this
[14:03] preaching,
[14:04] because God
[14:05] can't help
[14:05] you without
[14:06] the preaching
[14:07] of his
[14:07] word,
[14:08] it's the
[14:09] word,
[14:10] the word,
[14:11] the word,
[14:12] your spiritual
[14:13] growth is
[14:14] determined by
[14:14] your word
[14:15] growth,
[14:16] growth,
[14:18] and understanding
[14:19] scripture,
[14:19] so,
[14:20] in fact,
[14:21] in Acts
[14:21] chapter 14,
[14:22] can you
[14:23] imagine,
[14:23] that they
[14:24] came,
[14:24] they said,
[14:25] the gods,
[14:25] from verse
[14:26] 17,
[14:27] verse 14,
[14:27] the gods
[14:28] have come
[14:29] down to us
[14:29] in human
[14:30] flesh,
[14:31] after Paul
[14:31] did a miracle
[14:32] and healed
[14:33] somebody as
[14:34] Lystra,
[14:35] they came to
[14:36] come and,
[14:36] verse 11,
[14:37] they came to
[14:37] come and
[14:38] sacrifice the
[14:38] priests of
[14:39] Zeus and
[14:40] Jupiter,
[14:40] they came,
[14:41] because they
[14:42] said Paul
[14:42] was Zeus
[14:43] and then,
[14:44] they called
[14:46] Barnabas
[14:46] Zeus and
[14:46] called Paul
[14:47] Hermes,
[14:48] yeah,
[14:49] Hermes the
[14:49] one in
[14:49] the shop,
[14:52] maybe Gucci,
[14:54] so they
[14:55] called Paul,
[14:57] because he
[14:58] was the
[14:58] chasteel,
[14:59] and they
[14:59] came to
[15:00] sacrifice,
[15:00] oxen,
[15:01] they are
[15:01] coming to
[15:02] perform
[15:02] sacrifice,
[15:04] and Paul
[15:04] had to,
[15:04] they ripped
[15:05] their garments,
[15:06] they said,
[15:07] please stop
[15:07] this,
[15:07] we are
[15:07] look at
[15:08] us,
[15:09] nothing
[15:09] special about
[15:10] us,
[15:10] we are
[15:10] actually
[15:11] preaching and
[15:11] telling you to
[15:12] turn away from
[15:13] this vain
[15:14] behavior,
[15:14] now,
[15:15] because of
[15:15] the miracle,
[15:16] you see what
[15:16] miracle can
[15:17] do,
[15:18] because of
[15:19] the miracle,
[15:19] you are
[15:19] coming to
[15:20] make us,
[15:21] in fact,
[15:22] bring your
[15:22] staff,
[15:23] what we are
[15:23] trying to
[15:23] preach you
[15:24] away from,
[15:25] the human
[15:25] nature was
[15:26] now bringing
[15:26] to make,
[15:27] because they
[15:27] are so
[15:27] impressed with
[15:28] us,
[15:30] they didn't
[15:31] allow that,
[15:32] then,
[15:33] some enemies
[15:34] came from
[15:34] Lystra,
[15:35] and came
[15:36] and polluted
[15:37] these same
[15:37] people who
[15:38] said they
[15:38] are gods,
[15:39] do you know
[15:39] how the
[15:40] story ended,
[15:41] they caught
[15:41] Paul and
[15:42] beat him,
[15:44] they stoned
[15:45] him,
[15:46] yes,
[15:46] they stole
[15:47] Paul and
[15:47] dragged him,
[15:48] look,
[15:49] it is only
[15:50] verse 14,
[15:50] he said,
[15:50] don't do
[15:51] this to us,
[15:52] five verses
[15:53] downwards,
[15:54] why are you
[15:55] doing this
[15:55] to us,
[15:56] in the verse
[15:56] 15,
[15:57] four verses
[15:57] downwards,
[15:58] they stoned
[15:58] him,
[15:59] the same
[15:59] people who
[16:00] saw the
[16:00] miracle were
[16:01] so impressed,
[16:02] because they
[16:02] will not
[16:03] listen to
[16:03] preaching,
[16:03] because they
[16:05] will not
[16:06] listen to
[16:06] preaching,
[16:07] they stoned
[16:07] the one
[16:08] who was
[16:08] coming to
[16:09] deliver the
[16:10] message from
[16:11] God to
[16:11] them,
[16:12] and so
[16:12] it's important
[16:13] to understand
[16:14] that they
[16:15] went every
[16:16] village preaching,
[16:17] the work of
[16:19] God rises
[16:21] and falls on
[16:22] the preaching,
[16:23] not just
[16:24] preaching,
[16:25] but 2 Timothy
[16:26] chapter 4
[16:27] verse 2,
[16:28] first two
[16:29] words,
[16:30] first three
[16:30] words,
[16:31] first three
[16:31] words,
[16:32] if you
[16:34] get tired
[16:35] of hearing
[16:35] this phrase,
[16:36] I'm sorry,
[16:37] you are even
[16:37] about to get
[16:38] more tired,
[16:38] you hear it,
[16:40] whether they
[16:41] are tired
[16:41] of hearing
[16:42] the word,
[16:43] whether they
[16:44] are interested
[16:44] in hearing
[16:44] the word
[16:45] or not,
[16:46] whether they
[16:47] are in the
[16:47] mood to
[16:48] hear the
[16:49] word or
[16:50] not,
[16:51] whether the
[16:51] word feels
[16:52] old fashioned
[16:52] to them
[16:53] or not,
[16:54] don't change
[16:54] it,
[16:55] he told us
[16:56] what to
[16:56] preach,
[16:57] pastor,
[16:58] man of
[16:59] God,
[16:59] Christian
[16:59] brother,
[17:00] Christian
[17:00] sister,
[17:01] preach
[17:02] the word,
[17:04] not politics,
[17:06] not therapy
[17:08] sessions,
[17:09] not motivational
[17:11] talk,
[17:14] no,
[17:15] not financial
[17:16] relief,
[17:18] not social
[17:20] justice,
[17:21] not racial
[17:23] justice,
[17:25] preach
[17:26] the word,
[17:27] that's all,
[17:28] anything
[17:29] outside of
[17:30] the word
[17:31] and a man
[17:32] of God
[17:32] gets into,
[17:33] he has
[17:33] diverted,
[17:35] doesn't matter
[17:36] how wonderful,
[17:38] how loving,
[17:39] people like
[17:39] saying it,
[17:40] that's no
[17:41] matter,
[17:42] once you
[17:43] are out
[17:44] of the
[17:44] word,
[17:44] you are
[17:45] out of
[17:46] the message,
[17:47] so you
[17:48] can be
[17:49] preaching,
[17:50] but not
[17:50] preaching
[17:50] God's
[17:51] message,
[17:51] when you are
[17:53] traveling,
[17:54] and you go
[17:54] to the airport,
[17:55] there's
[17:56] something called
[17:56] gate,
[17:57] gate 16A,
[17:59] gate 14A,
[18:00] gate 10,
[18:01] gate 11,
[18:02] gate 27,
[18:04] some of it is
[18:05] gate 63,
[18:06] so many different
[18:07] gates,
[18:08] you have to
[18:08] walk and walk
[18:09] and walk
[18:09] and 63B,
[18:11] 63C,
[18:12] gates,
[18:13] but if you are
[18:14] having a conversation
[18:15] with your friend,
[18:16] and your plane is
[18:17] departing from
[18:18] gate 7A,
[18:20] and you go to
[18:21] gate 6A,
[18:22] gate 16A,
[18:24] you know,
[18:24] it's just
[18:25] small,
[18:26] but you end
[18:28] up in a
[18:28] different direction
[18:29] from where you
[18:30] are going,
[18:31] the same way,
[18:32] if the word of
[18:33] God,
[18:33] we don't focus
[18:34] on the word
[18:34] of God,
[18:35] and add a
[18:36] little bit,
[18:36] a little,
[18:37] just a little
[18:38] deviation,
[18:39] it can end
[18:40] as very far
[18:41] from what God
[18:42] has planned
[18:42] us to be,
[18:43] that is why,
[18:44] don't,
[18:45] I'm about to
[18:45] introduce a
[18:46] new concept
[18:47] here,
[18:48] don't spare
[18:51] or celebrate, don't celebrate or
[18:53] spare a preacher
[18:55] who is not focusing on the
[18:57] word. Don't spare them.
[19:00] Don't spare me.
[19:02] If I go of the word,
[19:03] don't spare me. Sometimes
[19:05] let your face share as precious,
[19:07] what's that?
[19:09] Yeah, and so, yeah, yeah, yeah,
[19:12] yeah, and so, can you
[19:13] stop the rant? It's nice to hear all
[19:15] the stories, but, you know,
[19:17] can you stop the rant?
[19:19] So,
[19:20] it's important,
[19:23] church, a growing Christian never
[19:25] spares a preacher
[19:26] if he goes, if
[19:29] migrates a little bit of the word.
[19:31] It's not like we attack the person, it's not like we
[19:33] are upset with the person, but you don't have
[19:35] proof of that, because this,
[19:37] you know, I was teaching, one of the first days
[19:39] I was teaching something, that when you
[19:41] are preaching, a pastor is supposed
[19:43] to keep one finger on their Bible.
[19:45] Even me now have to stop moving around,
[19:47] and as I'm preaching,
[19:48] as I'm speaking, my finger
[19:50] must be on the Bible.
[19:51] I'm speaking one, just in case I need this hand
[19:54] to do illustration, so I remove it, this one
[19:56] must go there,
[19:57] and keep, because it must be
[19:59] the word.
[20:01] And the word, preach the word.
[20:02] Hallelujah.
[20:03] Clap for Jesus.
[20:08] I heard a Christian theologian say
[20:10] that the preaching time
[20:12] is a very serious time.
[20:14] It's not meant to be funny.
[20:15] It's not meant to,
[20:17] it's not a comedy session.
[20:19] It's not popular.
[20:21] If you are here for popular entertainment,
[20:23] I think you might not like it.
[20:26] We all have to move away from excessive
[20:28] entertainment.
[20:29] There are times we'll come to church,
[20:31] short praise and worship,
[20:32] the word.
[20:35] Some people are not happy.
[20:36] You know the way moms,
[20:40] you didn't like
[20:40] veg,
[20:42] moms say,
[20:42] you eat it.
[20:44] You still eat the veg.
[20:47] Some of us,
[20:47] you only like dessert.
[20:50] So,
[20:51] then Bible says,
[20:52] look at this,
[20:52] the main point I want to,
[20:54] Philip got such a heavy
[20:56] endorsement from the Jerusalem
[20:58] apostles.
[20:59] They came all the way to endorse
[21:01] what he was doing.
[21:02] That was a big breakthrough.
[21:03] After the endorsement,
[21:04] that is when he's even had to start
[21:06] the departmental movements
[21:08] and make sure things are,
[21:10] you know,
[21:10] he has to buy a throne
[21:12] and make sure his chair is special.
[21:14] He has to,
[21:15] he has to,
[21:16] because the thing is working.
[21:18] Then Bible says that,
[21:20] verse 26 of Acts chapter 8,
[21:22] and an angel of the Lord
[21:24] spoke to Philip.
[21:25] Oh yeah,
[21:26] speak to me.
[21:27] Angel.
[21:27] Say,
[21:28] arise and go towards the south.
[21:29] Ah,
[21:30] go towards the south,
[21:33] along the road,
[21:34] which goes down
[21:36] from Jerusalem to Gaza.
[21:37] Now remember,
[21:38] where was he at this moment?
[21:40] Samaria.
[21:41] You remember how Samaria is?
[21:43] Towards the north.
[21:44] So,
[21:45] north of Judea.
[21:47] And Jerusalem is in Judea.
[21:48] And it's in Samaria.
[21:49] And now they said,
[21:51] go towards the south,
[21:53] along the road
[21:53] that goes to Jerusalem.
[21:55] So it's almost going back
[21:56] on yourself to Jerusalem.
[21:58] And then go past Jerusalem.
[22:01] And now you are going south
[22:02] because Gaza is south.
[22:04] It was the major route
[22:05] between Judea
[22:07] towards Africa
[22:08] through Egypt.
[22:10] So,
[22:11] Gaza Strip.
[22:11] They said you go to Gaza Strip.
[22:13] And it's a desert road.
[22:15] Desert road there means
[22:17] almost like a deserted road.
[22:19] People hardly use that road.
[22:21] Put you on the screen.
[22:22] The scripture.
[22:23] Now,
[22:24] an angel of the Lord
[22:25] spoke to Philip,
[22:26] saying,
[22:27] arise and go towards the south
[22:28] along the road
[22:29] which goes down to Jerusalem
[22:31] to Gaza.
[22:32] This is a desert.
[22:35] Look,
[22:35] he was in a buzzing city.
[22:38] Things were working.
[22:41] Things were working.
[22:42] I mean,
[22:43] he was a big guy.
[22:45] The whole city
[22:46] gave him attention.
[22:47] When he was coming,
[22:48] he had several,
[22:49] if he was today,
[22:51] he would have a lot
[22:51] of security guards.
[22:54] Living a very mean,
[22:55] powerful life.
[22:56] It's not bad in itself,
[22:58] but very comfortable.
[23:00] Then an angel
[23:01] comes to him
[23:01] after all the approval
[23:03] God has given him
[23:04] by apostolic approval,
[23:05] angel comes to him
[23:06] that,
[23:06] you know,
[23:07] there are some people
[23:07] when I send,
[23:08] they wouldn't like to go.
[23:10] But you,
[23:10] you didn't mind
[23:11] serving tables.
[23:13] Even though you had
[23:14] so much depth
[23:15] into scripture,
[23:16] you found yourself
[23:17] in Samaria,
[23:18] look at the revival
[23:19] you have brought.
[23:20] I want to trust
[23:21] something to you.
[23:22] God wanted to start
[23:23] a missionary move.
[23:25] He said,
[23:25] you,
[23:26] I can send you
[23:27] on a mission.
[23:28] And you walk away
[23:28] from everything
[23:29] because of where
[23:31] your heart is.
[23:32] Philip walked away
[23:34] from all.
[23:35] So angel said,
[23:37] move,
[23:37] thank you guys,
[23:38] move towards Gaza.
[23:40] Verse 27,
[23:41] and he arose
[23:41] and went.
[23:43] This is an interesting guy.
[23:45] As soon as he was
[23:46] told to move,
[23:46] he arose
[23:47] and went.
[23:49] He arose,
[23:49] let's not say
[23:50] he arose and went.
[23:51] He arose and went.
[23:52] Say it again.
[23:53] He arose and went.
[23:55] Will you arise
[23:56] and go?
[23:58] Will you arose
[23:59] and went?
[24:02] One day,
[24:03] can it be said
[24:04] about you
[24:04] that you arose
[24:05] and went?
[24:06] Even though
[24:07] where you were
[24:08] seems more lucrative.
[24:11] Can that be said
[24:12] about us?
[24:13] Oh God,
[24:13] help us.
[24:13] So he arose
[24:16] and went.
[24:18] Verse 27,
[24:20] and he arose
[24:21] and went
[24:21] and behold,
[24:22] a man of Ethiopia,
[24:25] an eunuch
[24:25] of great authority
[24:27] and Akandes,
[24:28] queen of Ethiopia.
[24:30] Now,
[24:30] a few points
[24:31] I want to
[24:31] bring to your attention.
[24:33] Ethiopia there
[24:34] is not
[24:34] the same
[24:35] as the modern day
[24:36] Ethiopia.
[24:37] Ethiopia there
[24:39] at that time
[24:39] is really
[24:40] almost
[24:40] all of Sahara,
[24:42] Africa,
[24:43] as far
[24:44] as possible
[24:44] low.
[24:45] So practically
[24:46] in the scripture,
[24:47] anytime you see
[24:47] Ethiopia,
[24:48] it's the kingdom
[24:48] and the land
[24:49] of the Cush.
[24:50] Isaiah chapter 18
[24:51] verse 1.
[24:52] Cush is one
[24:54] of the sons
[24:55] of Ham,
[24:58] Noah's son.
[24:59] So it says
[25:01] that,
[25:01] woe to the land
[25:03] shadowed
[25:03] with buzzing wings
[25:05] which is beyond
[25:06] the river
[25:07] of Ethiopia.
[25:08] And then
[25:08] yesterday's Bible
[25:09] reading in Isaiah
[25:10] chapter 56,
[25:11] you will see
[25:11] Cush being
[25:12] represented
[25:13] about 4,
[25:14] I think verse 4,
[25:15] 5,
[25:16] 6,
[25:16] or 3,
[25:16] 4,
[25:17] 5,
[25:17] you can see
[25:18] Cush was
[25:18] mentioned there.
[25:19] Cush is actually
[25:20] the African
[25:22] or the dark-skinned
[25:23] man.
[25:25] Yeah,
[25:25] in the Bible.
[25:26] So anytime you come
[25:27] across Cush
[25:28] in the Bible,
[25:29] it's talking about
[25:29] the dark-skinned
[25:30] man God
[25:31] created him to.
[25:32] So he said,
[25:33] get up.
[25:34] And when
[25:36] he was going,
[25:38] he met,
[25:39] when he traveled,
[25:40] the Bible says
[25:40] that there was
[25:41] this Ethiopian
[25:42] Enoch.
[25:42] Now,
[25:43] so Ethiopia first.
[25:44] Ethiopia was
[25:45] south of Egypt
[25:46] all down there.
[25:47] All that area
[25:48] was usually
[25:49] in Bible times
[25:50] called Ethiopia.
[25:51] Now,
[25:51] what's that Enoch?
[25:52] And Enoch
[25:53] is a man
[25:55] who has been,
[25:58] I think the word
[26:00] is,
[26:01] not cast,
[26:02] is castrated,
[26:03] but there's another
[26:04] biblical word.
[26:05] Deuteronomy chapter
[26:05] 23 verse 1
[26:07] in the New
[26:08] King James Version.
[26:10] Deuteronomy is,
[26:10] yeah,
[26:11] emasculated.
[26:11] That's the word,
[26:12] emasculated.
[26:15] Yeah.
[26:15] By crushing
[26:16] or mutilation.
[26:19] You don't want to see
[26:20] New Living Translation.
[26:21] It's okay.
[26:32] Take it off the screen.
[26:33] It's okay.
[26:33] It's okay.
[26:39] Now,
[26:41] just for information,
[26:42] it was a common
[26:43] thing in those days
[26:45] where some men
[26:46] are castrated.
[26:48] They are called
[26:48] eunuchs.
[26:49] what produces
[26:50] their testosterone,
[26:51] their hormones,
[26:53] their testicles,
[26:55] is removed.
[26:56] So,
[26:57] eventually,
[26:57] it's not anymore male.
[26:59] So,
[27:00] they usually tend
[27:00] to have a lot
[27:01] of feminine features.
[27:03] They can be
[27:04] very,
[27:04] very,
[27:04] like,
[27:06] rosy and,
[27:07] you know.
[27:07] When I was a boy,
[27:08] I told you,
[27:09] we used to have sheep
[27:10] at home.
[27:11] We had to have sheep.
[27:12] So,
[27:12] I was a shepherd boy.
[27:14] So,
[27:14] shepherding started a lot.
[27:15] David was a shepherd boy.
[27:16] The only thing is,
[27:18] the only thing is,
[27:20] I didn't have a harp.
[27:24] But,
[27:25] some of the things
[27:26] we used to do
[27:27] to the sheep
[27:27] is to castrate them.
[27:30] So,
[27:30] they become,
[27:30] they grow very,
[27:31] when they are
[27:32] lambs,
[27:33] male,
[27:34] you castrate them,
[27:35] take out their,
[27:36] their testicles,
[27:38] and they can grow,
[27:39] become very big,
[27:40] but they can't produce
[27:42] child.
[27:42] And,
[27:43] Bible says that,
[27:44] a eunuch,
[27:46] or someone who has been
[27:47] castrated,
[27:47] or emasculated,
[27:49] should not come into
[27:50] the congregation
[27:51] of the assembly of the Lord.
[27:53] She didn't come.
[27:54] Did you see how serious
[27:55] God takes reproduction?
[27:58] If,
[27:59] they have,
[28:00] made you,
[28:02] fertile,
[28:03] of purpose,
[28:04] so you can't,
[28:05] because,
[28:06] it's a sign that God
[28:07] likes us to reproduce.
[28:09] Anything that,
[28:10] that's why Jesus
[28:11] gets their fig tree.
[28:12] So,
[28:13] that's for another time.
[28:15] So,
[28:15] that's an eunuch.
[28:16] That's very important.
[28:18] And those days,
[28:18] they had eunuchs,
[28:19] to take care,
[28:21] they are the ones
[28:22] who normally
[28:22] would take care
[28:23] of their queens.
[28:24] Some of them,
[28:24] they birthed their queens,
[28:27] they take care,
[28:27] because they are not dangerous,
[28:29] they are sterile.
[28:30] So,
[28:31] it's either that,
[28:34] or some,
[28:34] are used for religious purposes,
[28:37] some are priests.
[28:39] You know,
[28:39] so,
[28:39] they didn't want a priest
[28:40] to have any problem.
[28:41] And it is,
[28:42] so,
[28:43] not in Israel,
[28:45] but in the pagan territory.
[28:47] So,
[28:47] it was a common practice
[28:48] in the pagan territory.
[28:49] So,
[28:49] this is a eunuch.
[28:51] But this guy
[28:51] is not a priest.
[28:52] This guy
[28:53] was a very big politician.
[28:55] Now,
[28:56] the Bible says
[28:57] that he was
[28:57] a great authority
[28:58] under Candace.
[29:00] What's Candace?
[29:01] Candace was like
[29:02] a title given
[29:03] to the queen.
[29:05] those days,
[29:07] the Ethiopians
[29:08] believed
[29:08] their kings
[29:09] came directly
[29:11] from their
[29:12] son god,
[29:12] S-U-N,
[29:14] was the son
[29:14] of the son god.
[29:16] So,
[29:16] they are not,
[29:17] the king is not
[29:18] supposed to work.
[29:19] So,
[29:19] it's like
[29:20] he rules,
[29:21] but doesn't reign.
[29:22] He's just like
[29:23] a ceremonial figure.
[29:25] So,
[29:26] and it doesn't work
[29:26] because it's very important.
[29:28] It's like a special
[29:29] person in those days.
[29:31] And,
[29:31] so then,
[29:32] the queen
[29:33] is the one
[29:33] who reigns
[29:35] and sees to the ruling
[29:36] of the everything,
[29:37] the kingdom and everything.
[29:38] So,
[29:38] it's the queen.
[29:40] And now,
[29:40] that queen,
[29:41] as soon as you become
[29:42] that queen,
[29:43] you are given that title
[29:44] like a Candace.
[29:45] So,
[29:46] this guy
[29:47] was a big person,
[29:49] very prominent person
[29:50] under the authority
[29:51] of Candace,
[29:52] the queen of the Ethiopians.
[29:54] And,
[29:54] he was in charge
[29:55] of the treasury.
[29:56] He was the chancellor
[29:57] of the exchequer.
[29:59] He was a big guy.
[30:01] Big guy.
[30:01] However,
[30:02] something interesting
[30:03] about this guy
[30:04] was that he would
[30:05] travel miles,
[30:06] about 1,500 miles
[30:08] those days
[30:09] on horse and chariots.
[30:11] And,
[30:11] it's not the chariot
[30:12] to fight.
[30:12] It's the one,
[30:13] the carriage.
[30:14] So,
[30:14] it's almost like
[30:15] the speed of a bicycle.
[30:17] And,
[30:17] you are traveling,
[30:18] let's say,
[30:19] from here to Spain
[30:20] on a bicycle.
[30:22] You can't tell
[30:22] the number of miles
[30:23] it will take you.
[30:24] And,
[30:24] you see his level
[30:25] of devotion
[30:26] to go all the way
[30:27] to Jerusalem
[30:28] for worship
[30:29] one.
[30:31] Bible didn't tell us
[30:32] whether he was a Jew
[30:32] or not,
[30:33] but he was Ethiopian.
[30:34] Those days,
[30:34] you know,
[30:35] there are some Jews
[30:36] who were taken
[30:36] to captivity
[30:37] and some theologists
[30:38] believe that
[30:39] some of them
[30:39] were Jews
[30:40] by Ethiopian Jews.
[30:41] Many also believe
[30:42] that this man
[30:43] was like,
[30:44] he was not satisfied
[30:46] with the pagan
[30:47] religion he's seen.
[30:49] He wanted something better.
[30:50] Just like Paul
[30:51] went to Mars Hill.
[30:52] They said to the
[30:53] unknown God.
[30:54] They were practicing
[30:54] things,
[30:55] but they still
[30:55] felt dissatisfied.
[30:56] nothing satisfies,
[30:59] no religion satisfies
[31:00] morally,
[31:01] no religion satisfies
[31:03] spiritually,
[31:04] and no religion
[31:04] satisfies naturally.
[31:06] Anytime you practice
[31:07] any religion,
[31:08] you still feel a gap
[31:10] as something is missing
[31:11] until you find Jesus.
[31:13] So this man was
[31:14] looking for God
[31:15] and he knew
[31:17] about the Jews,
[31:18] so he practiced
[31:19] that he wasn't
[31:20] a Jew,
[31:21] he might not be a Jew,
[31:23] and potentially
[31:24] not a proselyte.
[31:25] Who is a proselyte?
[31:27] A proselyte
[31:27] is a pagan
[31:28] or a Gentile
[31:30] who have converted
[31:31] to practice Judaism
[31:32] like a Jew.
[31:34] You go through rituals.
[31:35] But obviously,
[31:35] because of this man's
[31:37] eunuch emasculation,
[31:41] he is not likely to.
[31:43] So when he goes
[31:43] to the temple,
[31:44] obviously he can't be inside
[31:45] because proselytes
[31:45] are not inside.
[31:46] There's a wall.
[31:47] So he will be
[31:48] on the outer side,
[31:49] but he doesn't mind.
[31:50] He will travel
[31:50] weeks and months
[31:52] just to go and worship.
[31:53] And there's one
[31:55] that I told you,
[31:55] the traveling
[31:56] or festivals
[31:57] where Jews have to travel
[31:59] and people travel
[32:00] from all over the world,
[32:01] the Jews,
[32:02] two of them were
[32:03] Pentecost
[32:05] and Passover.
[32:07] And did you realize
[32:08] that Passover
[32:08] is 15 days away
[32:09] from Pentecost?
[32:10] And Jesus was killed
[32:12] at Passover
[32:12] and then
[32:13] all he goes
[32:14] came out,
[32:15] Pentecost.
[32:15] So usually,
[32:16] when you travel
[32:17] and go to Jerusalem,
[32:18] you are likely
[32:18] to stay
[32:19] for at least
[32:20] six weeks
[32:21] or seven weeks
[32:22] so you can enjoy
[32:23] Passover
[32:23] and also have
[32:25] Pentecost
[32:25] before you go.
[32:26] So he spent
[32:27] a bit of time
[32:27] and he was a rich man,
[32:30] a prominent man.
[32:31] He was a rich man.
[32:32] And because
[32:33] he had now finished
[32:34] and so it was likely
[32:36] he would have been around
[32:37] the third time
[32:38] Jesus was being executed.
[32:40] He still would have been around
[32:42] after the day of Pentecost.
[32:44] He would have been around there.
[32:46] So he had finished
[32:46] worshiping
[32:47] or whatever he was doing
[32:48] if the Bible says
[32:49] went to worship.
[32:50] And he was on his way
[32:51] back to Ethiopia
[32:52] because in those days
[32:53] people traveled
[32:54] to Jerusalem
[32:54] to go and worship.
[32:56] Acts chapter 24
[32:57] verse 11
[32:57] Paul said
[32:59] he was actually
[32:59] going to worship.
[33:01] So they go to worship
[33:02] because you may
[33:03] ascertain that
[33:04] it's no more
[33:06] than 12 days
[33:07] since I went
[33:08] up to Jerusalem
[33:09] to worship.
[33:09] They go.
[33:10] They try.
[33:10] It's common.
[33:11] So this guy
[33:12] has just finished worship.
[33:13] Let's go to the text again
[33:13] in Acts chapter.
[33:15] Is somebody learning something?
[33:16] The Bible says that
[33:18] verse 28
[33:19] was returning
[33:20] and sitting
[33:20] in his chariot
[33:21] reading Isaiah.
[33:23] As he has there
[33:24] in the King James
[33:25] is Isaiah
[33:25] the prophet.
[33:27] He was reading.
[33:28] Now this is another thing
[33:29] I want you to realize.
[33:30] Those days
[33:31] it's not books.
[33:32] It was scrolls.
[33:33] And the scrolls
[33:34] were kept
[33:34] in the synagogue.
[33:36] Yeah,
[33:37] in the synagogue
[33:37] and special places.
[33:39] Unless very,
[33:40] very rich people
[33:40] who can afford
[33:41] a scroll.
[33:42] so you can buy Isaiah.
[33:44] You can buy Jeremiah.
[33:45] You can buy Lamentations.
[33:46] We have got this luxury
[33:47] of having everything.
[33:49] Some of us
[33:50] now even have it
[33:51] on our electronic media.
[33:53] Yeah.
[33:54] Those days
[33:54] it is hard
[33:55] to find those days.
[33:56] You have to go.
[33:57] And so
[33:57] he has bought
[33:58] a scroll
[33:59] here he could afford it.
[34:01] And from Jerusalem
[34:02] he was busy reading.
[34:04] And number two
[34:04] the way they used to read
[34:06] was reading aloud
[34:07] like I told you
[34:08] on Thursday.
[34:08] Sometimes
[34:09] practice reading
[34:10] out loud.
[34:11] So he was reading aloud.
[34:13] He was reading aloud.
[34:14] So let's look at the text again.
[34:16] So Bible says that
[34:17] he was returning
[34:18] and sitting
[34:19] in his chariot
[34:20] reading Isaiah the prophet.
[34:22] Then the spirit
[34:24] said to Philip
[34:25] go near
[34:26] and join yourself
[34:27] to this chariot.
[34:29] Did you see
[34:29] the way the spirit
[34:30] was so influential
[34:31] in the works
[34:33] of the church?
[34:34] In Acts chapter 13
[34:35] as they ministered
[34:36] and fasted
[34:36] the Holy Spirit said
[34:37] separate unto me
[34:39] Barnabas and Saul.
[34:41] In Acts chapter 8
[34:42] verse 39
[34:42] Acts 8 39
[34:44] the Bible said
[34:45] that when they came
[34:46] out of the world
[34:46] the spirit
[34:47] of the Lord
[34:48] caught Philip.
[34:49] The spirit seems
[34:50] to be the main
[34:51] brain behind
[34:51] everything that is working.
[34:53] In Acts
[34:53] you remember
[34:54] Acts chapter 16
[34:54] verse 6 and 7
[34:55] they tried to preach
[34:56] in the territories
[34:57] of Galatia
[34:58] and when we had
[34:59] gone through
[35:00] Phrygia
[35:00] and the region
[35:01] of Galatia
[35:02] they were
[35:03] when they had gone
[35:03] through
[35:03] they were forbidden
[35:04] by the Holy Spirit.
[35:07] And look at
[35:07] the next verse.
[35:08] the next verse
[35:09] says that
[35:10] after they had
[35:10] come to Mysia
[35:11] they tried to go
[35:13] through but
[35:13] but the spirit
[35:14] so you can see
[35:16] how the spirit
[35:17] was actually
[35:18] the one in charge.
[35:20] That's why
[35:20] when Ananias and
[35:21] Sapphira lied
[35:22] to Peter
[35:22] Peter said
[35:23] you have lied
[35:24] to the Holy Spirit
[35:25] because he's
[35:26] the main person
[35:27] the main controller
[35:29] the main brain
[35:30] behind church work.
[35:32] So the angel
[35:34] this is interesting
[35:35] you know
[35:35] we didn't even explore
[35:36] how did the angel
[35:37] speak to him
[35:37] it's not necessary.
[35:40] Verse 27
[35:40] the angel
[35:41] from the Lord
[35:42] told Philip
[35:43] how did he speak
[35:44] to him
[35:44] is he vision
[35:45] is he dream
[35:46] did he see
[35:46] a physical person
[35:47] those are the things
[35:48] that easily
[35:49] the natural human nature
[35:51] or the human nature
[35:52] likes
[35:52] that can lead
[35:53] to sorcery.
[35:56] How did he speak
[35:57] how did he speak
[35:57] to him
[35:58] it's not necessary
[35:59] forget about
[36:00] the experiences
[36:01] and get
[36:02] the message
[36:03] God's message
[36:05] is one point
[36:05] so now
[36:06] after angel
[36:07] speaking to him
[36:08] Bible says that
[36:09] the spirit
[36:09] also spoke to him
[36:11] when he got there
[36:11] that go run
[36:13] the spirit
[36:14] said to him
[36:15] go near
[36:16] and take
[36:16] over
[36:17] this
[36:17] give me the
[36:18] kj
[36:18] I prefer the kj
[36:19] this
[36:19] overtake
[36:20] okay go
[36:21] overtake this chariot
[36:22] go near
[36:22] and he joined himself
[36:24] to the chariot
[36:25] the spirit said go
[36:26] that's not what he was
[36:27] riding his chariot
[36:28] I believe that
[36:29] you might believe
[36:29] with me that's likely
[36:30] he may have a lot
[36:31] of bodyguards
[36:32] because to travel
[36:34] in that road
[36:35] you might have
[36:37] bodyguards
[36:38] and he's a big guy
[36:39] but he went
[36:40] and I don't know
[36:42] all the details
[36:42] are not necessary
[36:43] scripture doesn't give
[36:44] it
[36:44] but the spirit
[36:45] said go near
[36:46] the chariot
[36:46] let's see the
[36:46] verse 20
[36:47] the next verse
[36:48] so Philip ran
[36:49] let's all say
[36:50] Philip ran
[36:50] the first thing
[36:52] you have to realize
[36:53] is Philip went
[36:54] now he ran
[36:56] the Holy Spirit
[36:57] said go
[36:58] he ran
[36:58] that's what
[37:00] determines how
[37:01] successful you are
[37:02] in the things of God
[37:03] sometimes we delay
[37:05] sometimes we are
[37:06] like a days ago
[37:07] sometimes we are
[37:09] maybe
[37:09] you know God
[37:11] is telling you
[37:12] to do something
[37:12] brother
[37:13] sister
[37:14] run
[37:15] therein
[37:17] lies
[37:17] your prosperity
[37:19] and your blessings
[37:19] therein lies
[37:21] the quality
[37:22] of how God
[37:22] will manifest himself
[37:24] the state
[37:24] of our obedience
[37:25] the nature
[37:26] of our obedience
[37:27] will determine
[37:28] the dimension
[37:30] or the magnitude
[37:31] of glory
[37:32] that will be
[37:32] lavished on us
[37:33] by God
[37:34] Philip
[37:35] run
[37:36] he said he should
[37:37] run
[37:37] and he ran
[37:38] so you see
[37:38] three key players
[37:40] in this text
[37:40] we have read so far
[37:41] number one
[37:42] is God
[37:42] number two
[37:44] is who
[37:44] is who
[37:47] I can't hear you
[37:48] are you sleeping
[37:50] number two
[37:53] is Philip
[37:54] God and the Holy Spirit
[37:55] is the same
[37:56] God
[37:58] angel
[37:58] the supernature
[37:59] and then number
[38:00] three is who
[38:01] the eunuch
[38:02] thank you
[38:03] someone are sleeping
[38:04] who is the one
[38:05] sleeping
[38:06] is there somebody
[38:06] sleeping
[38:06] the eunuch
[38:07] say the eunuch
[38:08] the eunuch
[38:09] I want you to
[38:12] notice that
[38:12] the eunuch
[38:13] was minding
[38:14] his business
[38:14] but because
[38:15] he was a
[38:16] seeker
[38:16] God has
[38:17] provoked
[38:18] a searching
[38:18] in his heart
[38:19] and look
[38:20] God went
[38:21] to Philip
[38:22] having a good
[38:23] time in Samaria
[38:24] told him
[38:25] travel
[38:25] go
[38:27] and meet
[38:28] this guy
[38:29] we
[38:30] naturally
[38:31] don't go
[38:31] to God
[38:32] you know
[38:32] in Genesis
[38:33] chapter 3
[38:34] verse 11
[38:35] it was God
[38:35] who came
[38:36] and said
[38:36] Adam
[38:37] where are you
[38:38] Adam said
[38:39] the woman
[38:40] you have
[38:40] it
[38:41] I had
[38:41] him
[38:41] called
[38:41] the woman
[38:42] then God
[38:42] went to Eve
[38:43] Eve
[38:43] God always
[38:45] comes to us
[38:46] God came
[38:47] to Noah
[38:48] and said
[38:49] Noah
[38:49] build the ark
[38:50] God came
[38:51] to Abraham
[38:52] Abraham
[38:52] was living
[38:53] in the
[38:53] era of the
[38:54] childish
[38:54] minding
[38:55] his own
[38:55] business
[38:56] God
[38:56] came to him
[38:57] he didn't
[38:58] go looking
[38:58] for God
[38:59] God
[38:59] came to him
[39:00] Noah
[39:02] God came
[39:03] to him
[39:03] Abraham
[39:03] God came
[39:04] to him
[39:04] and the word
[39:05] of the Lord
[39:05] you can't
[39:06] see all
[39:06] Moses
[39:07] was minding
[39:07] his own
[39:08] business
[39:08] family
[39:09] business
[39:10] he has
[39:10] gotten
[39:10] this wonderful
[39:11] wife
[39:11] and father
[39:12] in law
[39:12] amazing
[39:12] he was
[39:13] enjoying
[39:13] it
[39:13] and God
[39:14] appears
[39:14] to him
[39:15] God
[39:16] keeps coming
[39:16] God
[39:17] keeps coming
[39:18] and this
[39:18] Ethiopian
[39:19] it was
[39:19] God
[39:20] who sought
[39:20] him
[39:20] God
[39:22] went to
[39:23] Philip
[39:23] said
[39:23] there's
[39:24] somebody
[39:24] I want
[39:25] it's
[39:25] not
[39:25] coincidence
[39:26] you are
[39:26] going
[39:26] on this
[39:27] mission
[39:27] because
[39:28] there's
[39:28] one
[39:29] person
[39:29] oh
[39:30] he's
[39:30] the
[39:31] God
[39:31] of the
[39:31] crowd
[39:31] and the
[39:32] God
[39:32] of the
[39:32] individual
[39:33] he's
[39:34] the
[39:35] God
[39:35] of the
[39:35] crowd
[39:36] he cares
[39:36] about the
[39:37] crowd
[39:37] what was
[39:37] happening
[39:38] in Samaria
[39:38] crowd
[39:39] at the
[39:40] same time
[39:40] there's
[39:40] one
[39:41] person
[39:41] somewhere
[39:42] in the
[39:42] desert
[39:43] road
[39:43] and God
[39:44] said
[39:44] I equally
[39:45] care about
[39:45] you
[39:45] I'm going
[39:46] to reach
[39:46] out to
[39:47] you
[39:47] I don't
[39:47] know who
[39:47] I'm
[39:48] preaching
[39:48] to
[39:48] but I
[39:49] believe
[39:49] God
[39:49] has a
[39:49] plan
[39:50] to reach
[39:50] out to
[39:51] you
[39:51] God
[39:51] has a
[39:52] plan
[39:52] to do
[39:52] something
[39:53] about
[39:53] your
[39:53] life
[39:54] and
[39:54] your
[39:54] ministry
[39:55] God
[39:56] reached
[39:56] out to
[39:56] this
[39:57] Ethiopian
[39:57] union
[39:57] went to
[39:58] disrupt
[39:59] Philip's
[39:59] life
[39:59] it wasn't
[40:00] a
[40:00] disruption
[40:00] but in
[40:01] the
[40:01] natural
[40:02] it might
[40:02] look like
[40:03] a
[40:03] disruption
[40:03] he said
[40:04] go
[40:04] so
[40:05] God
[40:05] is a
[40:06] God
[40:06] of
[40:06] love
[40:06] he
[40:07] will
[40:07] always
[40:08] reach
[40:08] out
[40:08] to
[40:08] us
[40:09] he
[40:09] will
[40:09] always
[40:10] trust
[40:10] to
[40:11] let
[40:11] us
[40:11] know
[40:11] he
[40:12] is
[40:12] the
[40:12] unchanging
[40:12] God
[40:13] he
[40:14] doesn't
[40:14] change
[40:15] he
[40:15] is
[40:16] merciful
[40:16] he
[40:17] is
[40:17] kind
[40:18] he
[40:18] is
[40:19] good
[40:19] he
[40:21] will
[40:21] travel
[40:22] he
[40:22] will
[40:22] move
[40:22] any
[40:23] land
[40:23] to
[40:23] come
[40:23] and
[40:23] find
[40:24] you
[40:24] I
[40:24] know
[40:25] one
[40:25] of
[40:25] these
[40:25] days
[40:26] God
[40:26] somebody
[40:27] is
[40:27] going
[40:27] to
[40:27] have
[40:27] an
[40:28] encounter
[40:28] !
[40:32] make it
[40:33] a
[40:33] delight
[40:34] in
[40:35] fighting
[40:35] you
[40:36] God
[40:36] will
[40:37] find
[40:37] them
[40:37] God
[40:39] trust
[40:41] God
[40:41] and
[40:41] leave
[40:41] the
[40:42] details
[40:42] to
[40:42] him
[40:42] I
[40:44] don't
[40:44] know
[40:45] who
[40:45] I'm
[40:45] preaching
[40:45] to
[40:45] so
[40:47] clearly
[40:47] you
[40:47] can
[40:47] see
[40:47] the
[40:48] sovereign
[40:48] work
[40:48] of
[40:48] God
[40:49] here
[40:50] and
[40:50] then
[40:51] you
[40:51] can
[40:51] see
[40:51] the
[40:51] submissive
[40:52] will
[40:52] of
[40:52] the
[40:52] servant
[40:53] of
[40:54] God
[40:54] Philip
[40:55] God
[40:56] told
[40:56] him
[40:56] go
[40:56] he
[40:56] was
[40:57] submissive
[40:57] and
[40:58] he
[40:58] went
[40:58] but
[40:58] this
[40:59] is
[40:59] all
[40:59] God
[41:00] who
[41:00] started
[41:00] it
[41:00] God
[41:01] is
[41:01] the
[41:31] one
[41:32] and
[41:35] so
[41:36] God
[41:36] goes
[41:37] to
[41:37] Philip
[41:37] and
[41:39] sends
[41:41] Philip
[41:41] and
[41:42] then
[41:42] quickly
[41:43] let's
[41:43] look
[41:43] back
[41:44] at
[41:44] the
[41:44] text
[41:44] and
[41:45] Philip
[41:46] ran
[41:47] to
[41:48] him
[41:49] and
[41:50] said
[41:52] do you
[41:53] understand
[41:54] what you
[41:54] are
[41:54] reading
[41:54] watch
[41:56] this
[41:57] this
[41:57] guy
[41:57] is
[41:58] someone
[41:58] who
[41:58] definitely
[41:59] must
[41:59] have
[41:59] been
[41:59] exposed
[42:00] to
[42:00] idolatry
[42:01] pagan
[42:02] religion
[42:02] and
[42:03] all
[42:03] that
[42:03] and
[42:03] it
[42:03] wasn't
[42:04] enough
[42:04] so
[42:05] now
[42:05] he
[42:05] went
[42:06] towards
[42:06] the
[42:07] Jews
[42:07] the
[42:08] Jewish
[42:08] God
[42:08] because
[42:09] there's
[42:09] something
[42:09] about
[42:10] the
[42:10] Jewish
[42:10] God
[42:10] let me
[42:11] tell you
[42:11] something
[42:11] please
[42:11] this is
[42:12] necessary
[42:12] to
[42:12] know
[42:13] okay
[42:13] God
[42:15] when
[42:16] God
[42:16] called
[42:17] Abraham
[42:17] he
[42:18] told him
[42:18] in
[42:18] Genesis
[42:19] chapter
[42:19] 12
[42:19] in
[42:20] you
[42:21] shall
[42:21] all
[42:22] the
[42:22] families
[42:22] of the
[42:23] earth
[42:23] be
[42:23] blessed
[42:23] say
[42:24] in
[42:25] you
[42:25] so
[42:26] God
[42:26] clearly
[42:27] told
[42:27] Abraham
[42:28] and the
[42:28] plan
[42:28] of
[42:29] God
[42:29] besides
[42:30] watch
[42:30] this
[42:30] besides
[42:31] the
[42:31] fact
[42:31] that
[42:32] within
[42:32] his
[42:32] loins
[42:33] the
[42:33] Messiah
[42:34] was
[42:34] coming
[42:34] God's
[42:35] plan
[42:35] for
[42:36] the
[42:36] Jews
[42:36] Abraham
[42:37] and his
[42:37] descendants
[42:38] was to
[42:39] use them
[42:40] to spread
[42:40] the knowledge
[42:41] of God
[42:41] amongst
[42:42] other nations
[42:43] but the
[42:44] Jews
[42:45] went
[42:45] topsy
[42:46] topsy
[42:46] they
[42:47] either
[42:48] go
[42:48] and they
[42:49] don't
[42:49] want to
[42:49] have
[42:49] anything
[42:50] to do
[42:50] with
[42:50] the
[42:50] people
[42:50] or
[42:51] they
[42:51] go
[42:52] and
[42:52] adopt
[42:53] their
[42:53] gods
[42:53] so
[42:55] the
[42:56] Jews
[42:56] kept
[42:57] failing
[42:57] God
[42:57] because
[42:58] the
[42:59] knowledge
[42:59] of the
[42:59] Lord
[43:00] the
[43:00] oracles
[43:01] of
[43:01] God
[43:01] was
[43:01] committed
[43:02] to
[43:02] the
[43:02] Jews
[43:03] so
[43:03] that
[43:03] the
[43:03] world
[43:04] might
[43:04] be
[43:04] blessed
[43:05] through
[43:05] the
[43:05] Jews
[43:05] they
[43:06] will
[43:06] know
[43:06] more
[43:06] about
[43:07] this
[43:07] Jewish
[43:07] God
[43:07] they
[43:08] will
[43:08] know
[43:08] more
[43:08] about
[43:09] tell us
[43:09] about
[43:09] your
[43:09] God
[43:10] so
[43:11] one
[43:12] of the
[43:12] reasons
[43:12] why
[43:12] God
[43:12] chose
[43:13] the
[43:13] Jews
[43:13] is
[43:14] for
[43:14] making
[43:16] the
[43:16] knowledge
[43:17] of
[43:17] God
[43:17] known
[43:18] to
[43:18] other
[43:19] nations
[43:19] but
[43:20] the
[43:20] Jews
[43:20] failed
[43:20] God
[43:21] so
[43:21] when
[43:21] God
[43:22] raised
[43:22] the
[43:22] church
[43:23] he
[43:23] said
[43:23] I'm
[43:23] going
[43:24] to
[43:24] use
[43:24] the
[43:24] church
[43:24] to
[43:25] send
[43:25] the
[43:26] knowledge
[43:26] of
[43:26] myself
[43:26] to
[43:27] all
[43:27] the
[43:27] nations
[43:28] and
[43:29] so
[43:29] he
[43:29] started
[43:29] with
[43:30] sending
[43:30] Philip
[43:30] remember
[43:31] he said
[43:31] you
[43:32] shall
[43:32] receive
[43:32] the
[43:33] power
[43:33] after
[43:33] the
[43:33] Holy
[43:33] Spirit
[43:33] has
[43:34] come
[43:34] upon
[43:34] you
[43:34] shall
[43:35] be
[43:35] witness
[43:35] you
[43:35] of
[43:54] this
[44:24] the
[44:24] scroll
[44:24] just
[44:25] like
[44:25] the
[44:25] Jews
[44:26] in
[44:26] the
[44:27] synagogue
[44:27] at
[44:27] the
[44:27] time
[44:28] of
[44:28] Jesus
[44:28] they
[44:29] had
[44:29] the
[44:29] scroll
[44:29] but
[44:30] they
[44:30] didn't
[44:30] understand
[44:31] what
[44:31] they
[44:31] were
[44:31] reading
[44:32] they
[44:33] couldn't
[44:33] understand
[44:33] because
[44:34] Bible
[44:35] says
[44:35] that
[44:35] until
[44:35] this
[44:36] day
[44:36] when
[44:36] Moses
[44:37] is
[44:37] read
[44:38] 2nd
[44:38] Corinthians
[44:38] chapter
[44:39] 3
[44:39] a veil
[44:40] verse 13
[44:41] and 14
[44:41] a veil
[44:42] covers
[44:43] their
[44:43] face
[44:43] but
[44:44] verse 16
[44:44] said
[44:45] yet
[44:45] never
[44:45] when
[44:46] they
[44:46] turn
[44:46] to
[44:47] the
[44:47] Lord
[44:47] hallelujah
[44:48] when
[44:48] they
[44:48] turn
[44:49] to
[44:49] the
[44:49] !
[44:50] the
[44:50] veil
[44:54] says
[44:54] in
[44:54] Luke
[44:54] chapter
[44:55] 24
[44:55] verse
[44:56] 45
[44:57] Bible
[44:58] says
[44:58] and
[44:58] he
[44:59] opened
[44:59] their
[44:59] understanding
[45:00] wow
[45:01] that
[45:01] they
[45:02] might
[45:02] comprehend
[45:03] the
[45:03] scriptures
[45:03] and
[45:04] the
[45:04] Bible
[45:04] says
[45:04] look
[45:05] at
[45:05] the
[45:05] next
[45:05] verse
[45:05] that
[45:06] they
[45:06] might
[45:06] comprehend
[45:06] the
[45:06] scriptures
[45:07] then
[45:07] he
[45:07] said
[45:07] unto
[45:07] them
[45:08] it
[45:08] is
[45:08] written
[45:09] he
[45:09] was
[45:09] not
[45:09] pointing
[45:10] to
[45:10] them
[45:10] in
[45:10] scripture
[45:11] previously
[45:11] they
[45:12] read
[45:12] it
[45:12] couldn't
[45:12] see
[45:13] it
[45:13] they
[45:14] read
[45:14] Isaiah
[45:14] !
[45:15] couldn't
[45:15] understand
[45:15] it
[45:15] the
[45:16] same
[45:16] thing
[45:16] was
[45:16] happening
[45:16] to
[45:17] this
[45:17] Ethiopian
[45:17] Enoch
[45:17] he
[45:18] was
[45:18] reading
[45:19] the
[45:19] book
[45:19] of
[45:19] Isaiah
[45:20] he
[45:20] invested
[45:21] into
[45:21] the
[45:22] scroll
[45:22] of
[45:22] Isaiah
[45:23] reading
[45:23] it
[45:24] but
[45:24] didn't
[45:24] understand
[45:25] it
[45:25] so
[45:25] Philip
[45:26] goes
[45:27] to
[45:27] him
[45:27] he
[45:27] said
[45:27] do
[45:27] you
[45:28] understand
[45:28] what
[45:28] you
[45:29] are
[45:29] reading
[45:29] he
[45:29] said
[45:29] how
[45:31] can
[45:31] I
[45:31] how
[45:32] can
[45:32] I
[45:32] accept
[45:33] some
[45:33] man
[45:33] guide
[45:34] me
[45:34] oh
[45:35] hallelujah
[45:35] hallelujah
[45:37] that
[45:38] is
[45:38] the
[45:38] job
[45:38] of
[45:39] an
[45:39] an
[45:39] an
[45:41] an
[45:43] an
[45:43] an
[45:43] an
[45:44] Christian
[45:44] will
[45:44] guide
[45:44] you
[45:45] into
[45:45] scripture
[45:45] not
[45:45] away
[45:46] from
[45:46] scripture
[45:46] it
[45:48] doesn't
[45:48] matter
[45:49] what
[45:49] they
[45:49] do
[45:49] in
[45:49] your
[45:49] life
[45:50] if
[45:50] it
[45:50] doesn't
[45:51] end
[45:51] you
[45:51] up
[45:51] in
[45:51] scripture
[45:52] and
[45:52] appreciating
[45:53] Christ
[45:53] in
[45:54] scripture
[45:54] that
[45:55] is
[45:55] why
[45:55] the
[45:55] Holy
[45:55] Ghost
[45:56] came
[45:56] in
[45:56] John
[45:57] chapter
[45:57] 16
[45:57] verse
[45:58] 13
[45:58] he
[45:59] said
[45:59] when
[45:59] he
[45:59] came
[45:59] he
[46:00] will
[46:00] guide
[46:00] oh
[46:01] I
[46:01] feel
[46:01] like
[46:01] preaching
[46:02] it
[46:03] is
[46:03] the
[46:03] same
[46:04] Greek
[46:05] word
[46:05] guide
[46:05] that
[46:06] was
[46:06] used
[46:13] job
[46:13] of
[46:13] the
[46:13] Holy
[46:14] Spirit
[46:14] so
[46:16] it
[46:16] makes
[46:16] sense
[46:16] when
[46:17] Philip
[46:17] was
[46:17] full
[46:18] of
[46:18] the
[46:18] Holy
[46:18] Spirit
[46:18] said
[46:19] go
[46:20] to
[46:20] the
[46:20] church
[46:21] join
[46:21] yourself
[46:21] to
[46:22] that
[46:22] chariots
[46:22] join
[46:23] yourself
[46:23] to
[46:23] that
[46:23] chariots
[46:24] not
[46:24] for
[46:24] political
[46:24] advantage
[46:25] but
[46:25] for
[46:25] gospel
[46:26] missions
[46:26] he
[46:27] joined
[46:27] himself
[46:28] to
[46:28] the
[46:28] chariots
[46:28] and
[46:29] heard
[46:29] him
[46:29] reading
[46:29] he
[46:30] said
[46:30] do
[46:30] you
[46:30] understand
[46:31] how
[46:31] can
[46:31] I
[46:32] it
[46:32] says
[46:32] somebody
[46:32] explains
[46:33] it
[46:33] and
[46:33] the
[46:34] !
[46:34] Bible
[46:34] says
[46:34] that
[46:34] Philip
[46:35] came
[46:43] the
[46:43] place
[46:44] of
[46:44] the
[46:44] scripture
[46:45] which
[46:45] he
[46:45] was
[46:45] reading
[46:45] he
[46:46] was
[46:46] actually
[46:46] reading
[46:47] Isaiah
[46:48] 53
[46:48] as
[46:49] I
[46:49] told
[46:49] you
[46:49] last
[46:49] Thursday
[46:50] is
[46:50] the
[46:50] first
[46:51] gospel
[46:51] or
[46:52] the
[46:52] fifth
[46:53] gospel
[46:53] Isaiah
[46:55] so
[46:55] without
[46:56] Matthew
[46:56] Mark
[46:57] Luke
[46:57] and
[46:58] John
[46:58] somebody
[46:59] was
[46:59] still
[46:59] doing
[47:00] gospel
[47:00] he
[47:02] was
[47:02] still
[47:02] reading
[47:02] the
[47:02] gospel
[47:03] and
[47:03] he
[47:03] was
[47:03] reading
[47:04] from
[47:04] Isaiah
[47:05] chapter
[47:05] 53
[47:06] and
[47:07] he
[47:07] had
[47:07] what
[47:08] the
[47:08] Bible
[47:08] talk
[47:09] about
[47:09] was
[47:09] the
[47:09] verse
[47:10] 7
[47:10] and
[47:11] verse
[47:11] 8
[47:11] but
[47:12] he
[47:12] wasn't
[47:12] only
[47:12] reading
[47:13] verse
[47:13] 7
[47:13] and
[47:13] 8
[47:14] he
[47:14] was
[47:14] actually
[47:15] reading
[47:15] the
[47:16] entirety
[47:16] of
[47:16] the
[47:17] scripture
[47:17] Isaiah
[47:18] 53
[47:19] talks
[47:20] about
[47:21] Jesus'
[47:21] incarnation
[47:22] it
[47:23] talks
[47:23] about
[47:23] Jesus'
[47:24] crucifixion
[47:25] it
[47:25] talks
[47:25] about
[47:26] Jesus'
[47:26] burial
[47:27] it
[47:27] talks
[47:27] about
[47:28] Jesus'
[47:28] resurrection
[47:29] it
[47:29] covers
[47:30] the
[47:30] core
[47:31] aspects
[47:31] of
[47:31] the
[47:32] gospel
[47:32] it's
[47:33] all
[47:33] embedded
[47:33] there
[47:34] so
[47:34] the
[47:34] guy
[47:35] was
[47:35] reading
[47:35] it
[47:35] and
[47:36] then
[47:36] he
[47:36] says
[47:36] so
[47:37] when
[47:37] Philip
[47:38] came
[47:39] to him
[47:39] and
[47:40] he
[47:40] said
[47:41] how
[47:41] can
[47:41] I
[47:42] understand
[47:43] except
[47:43] somebody
[47:44] guides
[47:44] me
[47:45] and
[47:45] Bible
[47:46] says
[47:46] that
[47:46] he
[47:47] was
[47:48] reading
[47:48] the
[47:48] place
[47:48] where
[47:48] he
[47:49] said
[47:49] he
[47:49] was
[47:49] led
[47:50] as
[47:50] a
[47:50] sheep
[47:50] to
[47:51] the
[47:51] slaughter
[47:51] and
[47:52] like
[47:52] a
[47:52] lamb
[47:52] damp
[47:53] before
[47:54] he
[47:54] sheareth
[47:54] so
[47:55] he
[47:55] opened
[47:55] not
[47:55] his
[47:55] mouth
[47:56] in
[47:56] his
[47:56] humiliation
[47:57] his
[47:58] judgment
[47:58] was
[47:58] taken
[47:59] away
[47:59] and
[48:00] who
[48:00] shall
[48:00] declare
[48:00] his
[48:01] generations
[48:02] for
[48:02] his
[48:02] life
[48:03] was
[48:03] taken
[48:04] from
[48:04] the
[48:04] earth
[48:04] who
[48:06] is
[48:08] the
[48:09] prophet
[48:09] talking
[48:09] about
[48:09] is
[48:10] he
[48:10] himself
[48:10] or
[48:10] somebody
[48:11] else
[48:11] those days
[48:12] the Jews
[48:12] used to
[48:13] believe
[48:13] that
[48:13] that was
[48:14] a scripture
[48:15] referring to
[48:15] them
[48:16] the things
[48:17] they would
[48:17] go to
[48:17] and some
[48:19] rabbis
[48:19] also believe
[48:20] that it was
[48:20] potentially
[48:21] the Messiah
[48:22] and others
[48:23] also believe
[48:24] that it was
[48:24] Jeremiah
[48:24] Jeremiah
[48:25] is known
[48:25] as the
[48:26] weeping
[48:26] prophet
[48:26] so
[48:27] some
[48:27] believe
[48:28] maybe
[48:28] so
[48:28] but
[48:28] they are
[48:29] not sure
[48:29] so
[48:30] he was
[48:31] even a Jew
[48:32] now he's
[48:32] asking
[48:33] I'm reading
[48:34] this thing
[48:34] and the
[48:35] man who
[48:36] is writing
[48:36] it's like
[48:37] he's writing
[48:38] about somebody
[48:39] who is
[48:39] this
[48:40] but that
[48:40] thing
[48:40] is very
[48:41] interesting
[48:42] it's not
[48:43] himself
[48:43] it's himself
[48:44] or somebody
[48:45] or somebody
[48:46] can you explain
[48:46] this to me
[48:48] ah
[48:48] hallelujah
[48:49] it says
[48:50] it says
[48:51] that of himself
[48:52] or someone
[48:52] and then
[48:53] verse 35
[48:53] Bible says
[48:54] that then
[48:55] Philip
[48:55] opened his
[48:56] mouth
[48:56] and beginning
[48:57] at this
[48:58] scripture
[48:58] preached
[48:59] Jesus
[49:00] to him
[49:01] preached
[49:03] Jesus
[49:03] Jesus
[49:04] is in
[49:04] the
[49:04] scripture
[49:05] he preached
[49:06] that means
[49:07] he didn't
[49:07] say Jesus
[49:08] but he
[49:08] explained
[49:09] and expounded
[49:10] the revelation
[49:11] about Jesus
[49:12] and explained
[49:13] how God
[49:14] loved us
[49:15] he taught
[49:16] him matters
[49:16] of faith
[49:17] and this
[49:18] man's faith
[49:19] kept alive
[49:19] in Jesus
[49:20] he believed
[49:21] Jesus
[49:22] finally
[49:23] Eureka
[49:24] Eureka
[49:25] Eureka
[49:25] finally
[49:26] I found
[49:27] the missing
[49:27] piece of
[49:28] the jigsaw
[49:28] puzzle
[49:29] in my
[49:29] life
[49:29] the man
[49:30] found
[49:31] the man
[49:31] found
[49:32] he believed
[49:33] Jesus
[49:33] because
[49:34] Philip
[49:35] preached
[49:35] Jesus
[49:35] from the
[49:36] text
[49:36] the text
[49:38] was the
[49:38] subject
[49:39] the text
[49:40] was the
[49:40] focus
[49:41] the text
[49:41] was the
[49:42] direction
[49:42] the text
[49:43] was the
[49:44] guide
[49:44] he spoke
[49:45] from the
[49:46] text
[49:46] not into
[49:47] the text
[49:47] he spoke
[49:49] from the
[49:50] text
[49:50] and Jesus
[49:51] emerged
[49:52] out of
[49:52] the text
[49:53] the
[49:54] man
[49:55] was
[49:55] guided
[49:56] by the
[49:57] teaching
[49:57] of
[49:58] Philip
[49:58] to
[49:58] find
[49:59] Jesus
[49:59] Bible
[50:00] said
[50:00] from
[50:00] that
[50:01] scripture
[50:02] so you
[50:02] see
[50:02] God
[50:03] was
[50:03] working
[50:03] behind
[50:04] the
[50:04] scenes
[50:04] prepared
[50:05] the
[50:06] man's
[50:06] heart
[50:07] how come
[50:07] he was
[50:08] reading
[50:08] that
[50:08] scripture
[50:08] at that
[50:08] time
[50:09] prepared
[50:10] Philip
[50:10] moved
[50:11] Philip
[50:11] God
[50:12] was the
[50:12] one
[50:12] working
[50:13] behind
[50:13] the
[50:13] scenes
[50:14] Philip
[50:14] met
[50:14] them
[50:14] it
[50:15] looked like
[50:16] coincidence
[50:16] but not
[50:17] coincidence
[50:17] Philip
[50:18] met
[50:19] the
[50:19] guy
[50:19] and then
[50:20] guess
[50:20] what
[50:20] God
[50:21] worked
[50:21] behind
[50:21] the
[50:21] scene
[50:21] Philip
[50:22] was
[50:23] obedient
[50:23] and then
[50:24] the man
[50:25] was open
[50:26] humble
[50:27] teach me
[50:28] and then
[50:28] they ended
[50:29] up
[50:29] in
[50:29] scripture
[50:30] and
[50:31] everything
[50:31] that's
[50:32] where
[50:32] everything
[50:32] unfolds
[50:34] they ended
[50:34] up in
[50:35] scripture
[50:35] and
[50:36] as
[50:37] he
[50:38] preached
[50:38] Jesus
[50:39] they were
[50:39] going
[50:39] I want
[50:40] to run
[50:40] up
[50:40] now
[50:40] watch
[50:40] this
[50:41] and
[50:41] Philip
[50:41] opened
[50:42] his
[50:42] mouth
[50:42] and
[50:43] beginning
[50:43] at
[50:43] this
[50:44] I like
[50:44] that
[50:44] that's
[50:45] so
[50:45] powerful
[50:45] but
[50:45] because
[50:46] of
[50:46] that
[50:46] I
[50:46] don't
[50:46] want
[50:46] to
[50:46] belabor
[50:47] that
[50:49] scripture
[50:49] that's
[50:50] preaching
[50:50] beginning
[50:53] at
[50:53] this
[50:54] scripture
[50:54] beginning
[50:55] at
[50:55] this
[50:56] scripture
[50:56] that's
[50:57] why
[50:57] I
[50:57] found
[50:58] out
[50:58] that
[50:59] great
[50:59] teachers
[51:00] and
[51:01] it's
[51:01] a
[51:01] custom
[51:01] of
[51:02] stable
[51:02] churches
[51:03] that
[51:04] understand
[51:05] dimensions
[51:06] or dynamics
[51:07] of theology
[51:07] to read
[51:08] scripture
[51:09] first before
[51:10] preaching
[51:10] because
[51:11] the
[51:12] preaching
[51:12] is meant
[51:12] to explain
[51:13] the
[51:13] scripture
[51:13] so
[51:15] that's
[51:15] why
[51:15] many
[51:16] when
[51:16] you
[51:16] go
[51:16] to
[51:16] some
[51:17] of
[51:17] the
[51:18] traditional
[51:19] churches
[51:19] they
[51:20] will
[51:20] read
[51:20] the
[51:21] scripture
[51:21] then
[51:22] they
[51:22] try
[51:22] to
[51:22] explain
[51:23] the
[51:24] scripture
[51:24] read
[51:25] the
[51:25] scripture
[51:26] most
[51:26] people
[51:27] have
[51:28] different
[51:28] styles
[51:28] and so
[51:29] God
[51:29] can
[51:29] be
[51:29] preached
[51:29] okay
[51:30] but
[51:30] that is
[51:31] why
[51:31] I
[51:31] make
[51:31] it
[51:32] my
[51:32] custom
[51:32] that
[51:33] when
[51:33] I
[51:33] want
[51:33] to
[51:34] preach
[51:34] after
[51:35] we
[51:35] say
[51:35] this
[51:35] is
[51:35] my
[51:35] Bible
[51:36] I
[51:36] read
[51:36] the
[51:36] scripture
[51:37] when
[51:37] I
[51:37] finish
[51:38] reading
[51:38] the
[51:38] scripture
[51:39] all right
[51:39] God
[51:39] now
[51:40] let's
[51:40] pray
[51:40] God
[51:40] show
[51:41] us
[51:41] and
[51:42] then
[51:42] from
[51:42] there
[51:42] we
[51:43] go
[51:43] into
[51:43] the
[51:43] scripture
[51:43] and
[51:44] my
[51:44] responsibility
[51:45] is to
[51:45] stay
[51:46] on the
[51:46] text
[51:47] or
[51:48] sometimes
[51:48] I can
[51:48] get
[51:48] excited
[51:49] I've
[51:50] been
[51:50] carried
[51:50] off
[51:50] one or
[51:51] two
[51:51] times
[51:51] which
[51:52] you
[51:52] know
[51:52] already
[51:53] and
[51:54] even
[51:54] now
[51:54] as
[51:55] I'm
[51:55] saying
[51:55] this
[51:55] I'm
[51:55] still
[51:55] being
[51:56] carried
[51:56] off
[51:56] now
[51:56] but
[51:57] stay
[51:58] on
[51:58] the
[51:58] scripture
[51:58] beginning
[51:59] at
[52:00] that
[52:01] scripture
[52:01] beginning
[52:02] at
[52:03] this
[52:03] scripture
[52:04] beginning
[52:05] at
[52:05] this
[52:06] scripture
[52:07] beginning
[52:08] at
[52:08] this
[52:09] scripture
[52:09] from
[52:09] the
[52:10] Old
[52:10] Testament
[52:10] he
[52:11] preached
[52:11] !
[52:13] from
[52:13] the
[52:13] Old
[52:13] Testament
[52:14] who
[52:14] told
[52:14] you
[52:14] there
[52:14] is
[52:15] there
[52:16] this
[52:18] book
[52:18] is
[52:18] about
[52:19] him
[52:20] he
[52:20] is
[52:21] there
[52:22] he
[52:23] there
[52:23] Peter
[52:25] preached
[52:25] from
[52:26] the
[52:26] Old
[52:27] Testament
[52:27] Paul
[52:28] preached
[52:28] from
[52:29] the
[52:29] Old
[52:29] Testament
[52:29] Stephen
[52:30] preached
[52:30] from
[52:30] the
[52:31] Old
[52:31] Testament
[52:31] all
[52:32] their
[52:32] preaching
[52:32] was
[52:33] based
[52:34] on
[52:34] the
[52:34] Old
[52:34] Testament
[52:35] Christ
[52:35] the
[52:36] same
[52:36] Christ
[52:37] yesterday
[52:38] today
[52:38] and
[52:39] forever
[52:39] everything
[52:40] the
[52:40] gospel
[52:41] is in
[52:41] the
[52:42] Old
[52:42] Testament
[52:42] Galatians
[52:43] chapter
[52:43] 3
[52:44] verse
[52:44] 7
[52:44] and
[52:45] 8
[52:45] talks
[52:45] about
[52:45] therefore
[52:46] the
[52:46] gospel
[52:47] was
[52:47] preached
[52:47] to
[52:47] Abraham
[52:48] for
[52:51] the
[52:52] scripture
[52:52] foreseeing
[52:53] that
[52:53] God
[52:53] would
[52:54] justify
[52:54] Gentiles
[52:55] by
[52:56] faith
[52:57] preached
[52:58] the
[52:58] gospel
[52:59] to
[53:00] Abraham
[53:01] beforehand
[53:02] the
[53:04] gospel
[53:05] from
[53:07] this
[53:08] scripture
[53:08] he
[53:09] preached
[53:10] Christ
[53:10] from
[53:12] this
[53:12] scripture
[53:13] he
[53:14] preached
[53:14] Jesus
[53:15] Philip
[53:16] is a
[53:16] Jesus
[53:17] preacher
[53:17] oh
[53:18] may
[53:18] God
[53:18] make
[53:19] us
[53:19] all
[53:19] like
[53:19] Philip
[53:19] and
[53:21] quickly
[53:22] look at
[53:22] the
[53:22] next
[53:22] verse
[53:23] now
[53:23] as
[53:24] they
[53:24] went
[53:24] down
[53:24] the
[53:24] road
[53:25] there's
[53:25] something
[53:25] else
[53:25] that
[53:26] came
[53:26] up
[53:26] they
[53:27] came
[53:27] to
[53:28] some
[53:28] water
[53:28] remember
[53:29] that's
[53:29] a
[53:29] desert
[53:29] area
[53:29] God
[53:31] orchestrated
[53:32] that
[53:32] they'll
[53:32] see
[53:32] some
[53:33] water
[53:33] somewhere
[53:34] some
[53:34] oasis
[53:35] must
[53:35] appear
[53:36] somewhere
[53:36] because
[53:37] somebody's
[53:38] ready to
[53:39] walk in
[53:39] full
[53:40] obedience
[53:40] so as
[53:42] they were
[53:42] going
[53:42] watch the
[53:43] text very
[53:44] carefully
[53:44] as they
[53:45] went down
[53:45] the road
[53:45] they came
[53:46] to some
[53:46] water
[53:47] and the
[53:47] Enoch
[53:48] said
[53:48] see
[53:48] see
[53:49] here is
[53:50] water
[53:51] because it
[53:51] wasn't a
[53:52] common thing
[53:52] they would
[53:52] see
[53:52] here is
[53:53] water
[53:53] what hinders
[53:56] me from
[53:56] being
[53:57] he introduced
[53:58] baptism
[53:58] that means
[53:59] they were
[53:59] having the
[54:00] discourse
[54:00] they were
[54:02] having a
[54:02] discourse
[54:03] he has
[54:04] understood
[54:04] what it
[54:05] means to
[54:05] be
[54:05] baptized
[54:05] he has
[54:06] understood
[54:06] because
[54:07] Jesus
[54:07] said
[54:07] go into
[54:08] the world
[54:09] and make
[54:09] disciples
[54:10] of all
[54:11] nations
[54:11] baptizing
[54:13] them
[54:13] in the
[54:14] name of
[54:14] the
[54:14] father
[54:15] and of
[54:15] the
[54:15] son
[54:16] and of
[54:16] the
[54:16] holy
[54:17] spirit
[54:17] teaching
[54:18] them
[54:18] to
[54:18] observe
[54:19] all
[54:20] that
[54:20] have
[54:21] commanded
[54:21] you
[54:21] and
[54:22] Lord
[54:22] are
[54:23] with
[54:23] you
[54:23] to
[54:24] the
[54:24] end
[54:24] of
[54:24] the
[54:24] ages
[54:25] teach
[54:27] them
[54:27] baptize
[54:28] so
[54:29] when
[54:29] he
[54:29] was
[54:29] see
[54:30] that's
[54:30] why
[54:30] don't
[54:31] let
[54:31] us
[54:31] move
[54:31] away
[54:32] from
[54:32] the
[54:32] word
[54:32] of
[54:32] God
[54:33] your
[54:35] breakthrough
[54:36] is
[54:36] word
[54:37] determined
[54:37] your
[54:38] peace
[54:39] is
[54:39] word
[54:40] determined
[54:40] your
[54:41] longevity
[54:41] is
[54:42] word
[54:42] determined
[54:43] your
[54:43] future
[54:44] is
[54:45] word
[54:45] determined
[54:46] keep
[54:49] the
[54:49] word
[54:49] as
[54:50] your
[54:50] focus
[54:50] and
[54:51] he
[54:52] taught
[54:52] them
[54:52] about
[54:53] baptism
[54:53] he
[54:54] says
[54:54] baptize
[54:54] them
[54:55] and
[54:56] can you
[54:57] imagine
[54:57] if this
[54:58] man
[54:58] had
[54:58] left
[54:59] who
[55:00] was
[55:00] going
[55:00] to
[55:00] baptize
[55:00] him
[55:01] in
[55:01] the
[55:02] desert
[55:02] God
[55:03] made
[55:03] a
[55:03] provision
[55:03] and
[55:05] you
[55:06] can
[55:06] imagine
[55:06] his
[55:08] excitement
[55:08] when
[55:09] he
[55:09] saw
[55:09] the
[55:09] water
[55:09] he
[55:10] said
[55:10] sing
[55:10] sing
[55:12] sing
[55:13] here
[55:14] is
[55:14] water
[55:14] here
[55:15] is
[55:16] water
[55:16] see
[55:17] here
[55:18] is
[55:18] water
[55:19] he
[55:20] came
[55:21] he
[55:21] spent
[55:22] money
[55:23] buying
[55:23] the
[55:23] scroll
[55:24] Simon
[55:24] the
[55:25] sorcerer
[55:25] wanted
[55:25] to spend
[55:26] money
[55:26] to buy
[55:27] the
[55:27] gift
[55:27] he
[55:29] bought
[55:29] the
[55:29] word
[55:30] Simon
[55:31] wants
[55:31] the
[55:31] gift
[55:31] so
[55:33] he
[55:33] didn't
[55:33] have
[55:33] a
[55:34] place
[55:34] there
[55:34] this
[55:35] man
[55:35] look
[55:35] at
[55:35] how
[55:36] the
[55:36] thing
[55:36] is
[55:36] ending
[55:36] he
[55:37] saw
[55:37] and
[55:38] that
[55:39] means
[55:39] baptism
[55:40] was so
[55:40] essential
[55:41] to
[55:41] the
[55:42] Christian
[55:42] life
[55:42] and
[55:43] it
[55:43] is
[55:43] Jesus
[55:45] said
[55:45] baptizing
[55:46] them
[55:46] in
[55:47] the
[55:47] original
[55:48] Greek
[55:48] sounds
[55:49] like
[55:49] into
[55:50] the
[55:50] name
[55:50] of
[55:51] the
[55:51] father
[55:51] the
[55:52] son
[55:52] and
[55:53] of
[55:53] the
[55:53] holy
[55:53] so
[55:53] we
[55:54] baptize
[55:54] we
[55:54] are
[55:55] baptized
[55:55] into
[55:56] the
[55:56] trinity
[55:57] we
[55:58] are
[55:58] baptized
[55:59] what
[56:00] do
[56:00] baptize
[56:00] in
[56:01] we
[56:02] are
[56:02] baptized
[56:03] into
[56:03] the
[56:04] trinity
[56:04] and
[56:04] watch
[56:04] this
[56:05] another
[56:05] interesting
[56:06] word
[56:06] that
[56:06] is
[56:06] about
[56:07] when
[56:08] you
[56:08] study
[56:08] the
[56:08] book
[56:08] of
[56:08] Acts
[56:09] they
[56:09] baptize
[56:10] in
[56:10] the
[56:10] name
[56:11] of
[56:11] Jesus
[56:11] into
[56:12] the
[56:12] name
[56:12] of
[56:12] Jesus
[56:12] so
[56:13] they
[56:15] Galatians
[56:16] chapter
[56:16] 3
[56:17] verse
[56:17] 27
[56:17] see
[56:18] how
[56:18] he
[56:18] puts
[56:18] it
[56:19] Galatians
[56:19] 3
[56:20] 27
[56:20] says
[56:21] that
[56:21] for
[56:21] let's
[56:21] go
[56:22] we
[56:24] are
[56:28] baptized
[56:29] we
[56:30] are
[56:30] baptized
[56:31] did
[56:32] you
[56:32] see
[56:32] that
[56:33] you
[56:33] are
[56:33] baptized
[56:34] into
[56:34] him
[56:34] when
[56:35] you
[56:35] are
[56:35] being
[56:35] baptized
[56:36] you
[56:36] are
[56:36] being
[56:36] buried
[56:37] into
[56:37] him
[56:37] you
[56:38] are
[56:38] being
[56:38] put
[56:38] into
[56:38] Christ
[56:39] when
[56:41] you
[56:41] bury
[56:41] a
[56:42] person
[56:42] it
[56:44] is
[56:44] not
[56:44] death
[56:45] and
[56:45] burial
[56:45] which
[56:46] one
[56:46] comes
[56:46] first
[56:46] did
[56:49] you
[56:49] say
[56:49] burial
[56:49] death
[56:50] and
[56:50] burial
[56:50] which
[56:51] one
[56:51] comes
[56:51] first
[56:52] so
[56:53] when
[56:53] a
[56:53] person
[56:53] dies
[56:54] they
[56:54] bury
[56:54] but
[56:55] in
[56:55] Christianity
[56:55] we
[56:56] are
[56:56] buried
[56:57] we
[57:01] are
[57:01] buried
[57:01] in
[57:01] Christ
[57:02] we
[57:03] are
[57:03] buried
[57:03] in
[57:03] Christ
[57:04] we
[57:04] are
[57:05] buried
[57:05] in
[57:05] Christ
[57:05] so
[57:06] we
[57:06] are
[57:07] baptized
[57:07] into
[57:08] the
[57:08] Trinity
[57:08] we
[57:09] are
[57:09] baptized
[57:09] into
[57:10] Christ
[57:10] and
[57:11] I
[57:11] want
[57:11] to
[57:11] submit
[57:11] to
[57:11] you
[57:12] Romans
[57:12] chapter
[57:12] 6
[57:13] verse
[57:13] 4
[57:14] we
[57:15] baptized
[57:15] into
[57:16] his
[57:16] death
[57:16] we
[57:17] are
[57:17] baptized
[57:17] into
[57:18] his
[57:18] death
[57:19] baptized
[57:20] into
[57:21] what
[57:21] he
[57:21] says
[57:22] therefore
[57:23] we
[57:24] are
[57:24] buried
[57:24] with
[57:25] him
[57:25] through
[57:25] baptism
[57:26] where
[57:26] into
[57:27] this
[57:27] I
[57:27] told
[57:27] you
[57:28] baptism
[57:28] burial
[57:29] come
[57:29] before
[57:30] the
[57:30] death
[57:30] !
[57:33] buried
[57:34] with
[57:34] baptism
[57:35] into
[57:36] his
[57:36] death
[57:37] 1
[57:38] Corinthians
[57:38] chapter
[57:38] 12
[57:38] verse
[57:39] 13
[57:39] it
[57:39] says
[57:40] that
[57:40] we
[57:40] are
[57:40] baptized
[57:41] by
[57:41] one
[57:41] spirit
[57:41] into
[57:42] his
[57:42] body
[57:43] one
[57:43] spirit
[57:44] for
[57:44] by
[57:44] one
[57:45] spirit
[57:45] where
[57:45] we
[57:45] all
[57:46] baptized
[57:46] in
[57:46] no
[57:47] I'm
[57:47] drawing
[57:47] attention
[57:48] to
[57:48] that
[57:48] into
[57:49] for
[57:50] God
[57:50] so
[57:51] for
[57:52] God
[57:52] so
[57:53] love
[57:53] for
[57:55] God
[57:55] so
[57:56] John
[57:57] 3
[57:58] 16
[57:58] for
[57:59] God
[58:00] so
[58:01] love
[58:01] the
[58:02] world
[58:02] that
[58:03] he
[58:03] gave
[58:04] his
[58:04] only
[58:06] begotten
[58:06] son
[58:07] that
[58:07] whosoever
[58:09] the
[58:09] original
[58:10] Greek
[58:11] is
[58:11] believes
[58:11] into
[58:12] him
[58:12] you
[58:14] believe
[58:15] into
[58:16] him
[58:16] you
[58:17] put
[58:17] on
[58:17] Christ
[58:18] you
[58:19] are
[58:19] found
[58:19] in
[58:20] Paul
[58:20] that
[58:20] Paul
[58:21] said
[58:21] that
[58:21] I
[58:21] might
[58:21] be
[58:21] found
[58:22] in
[58:22] him
[58:23] not
[58:24] having
[58:25] my
[58:25] own
[58:25] righteousness
[58:26] being
[58:26] found
[58:27] in
[58:27] him
[58:28] you
[58:28] believe
[58:28] into
[58:29] Christ
[58:30] so
[58:30] we
[58:31] are
[58:31] baptized
[58:31] into
[58:32] Christ
[58:33] we
[58:33] are
[58:33] baptized
[58:34] into
[58:34] the
[58:35] trinity
[58:35] we
[58:35] are
[58:36] baptized
[58:36] into
[58:37] the
[58:37] body
[58:37] we
[58:38] are
[58:38] baptized
[58:38] into
[58:39] his
[58:39] death
[58:40] it's
[58:40] all
[58:40] the
[58:40] same
[58:40] you
[58:42] are
[58:42] in
[58:42] Christ
[58:42] you
[58:43] are
[58:43] in
[58:43] his
[58:43] death
[58:43] so
[58:44] he
[58:45] said
[58:45] see
[58:45] see
[58:47] here
[58:48] it's
[58:48] water
[58:48] and
[58:49] look
[58:49] at
[58:49] his
[58:50] expression
[58:51] what
[58:52] hinders
[58:53] me
[58:53] from
[58:54] being
[58:55] baptized
[58:55] what
[58:56] hinders
[58:56] me
[58:57] and
[58:57] Philip
[58:57] said
[58:58] if
[58:58] you
[58:59] believe
[58:59] with
[58:59] all
[58:59] your
[59:00] heart
[59:00] that's
[59:01] all
[59:01] it
[59:01] requires
[59:01] all
[59:03] your
[59:03] heart
[59:03] that's
[59:03] it
[59:03] that's
[59:04] all
[59:04] it
[59:04] takes
[59:05] if
[59:05] you
[59:05] believe
[59:05] all
[59:05] your
[59:06] heart
[59:06] and
[59:06] he
[59:06] answered
[59:07] look
[59:08] at
[59:08] the
[59:08] belief
[59:08] that
[59:09] means
[59:09] he's
[59:09] been
[59:09] taught
[59:10] something
[59:10] deep
[59:10] there
[59:11] are
[59:11] things
[59:11] that
[59:12] no
[59:12] religion
[59:12] accepts
[59:13] apart
[59:13] from
[59:14] our
[59:14] work
[59:14] with
[59:14] God
[59:15] the
[59:15] only
[59:16] thing
[59:16] that
[59:16] determines
[59:17] whether
[59:21] God
[59:21] in
[59:21] other
[59:22] words
[59:22] believing
[59:22] that
[59:22] Jesus
[59:23] is
[59:23] God
[59:23] he
[59:25] said
[59:25] you
[59:25] want
[59:25] to
[59:25] baptize
[59:26] you
[59:26] got
[59:26] to
[59:27] believe
[59:27] that
[59:27] and
[59:28] he
[59:28] answered
[59:29] and
[59:29] said
[59:29] I
[59:30] believe
[59:30] that
[59:31] Jesus
[59:31] said
[59:38] hallelujah
[59:38] hallelujah
[59:39] hallelujah
[59:40] hallelujah
[59:41] I
[59:41] believe
[59:42] that
[59:43] Jesus
[59:43] is
[59:44] the
[59:44] son
[59:45] of
[59:45] God
[59:45] let's
[59:46] say that
[59:46] together
[59:46] I
[59:47] believe
[59:48] that
[59:48] Jesus
[59:49] is
[59:49] my
[59:49] soul
[59:50] please
[59:50] say that
[59:50] loud
[59:51] I
[59:51] believe
[59:52] that
[59:52] Jesus
[59:53] some
[59:53] of
[59:54] you
[59:54] are
[59:54] not
[59:54] saying
[59:54] let's
[59:54] say
[59:55] that
[59:55] loud
[59:55] as
[59:55] again
[59:56] I
[59:56] believe
[59:56] !
[59:57] Jesus
[59:57] my
[59:58] soul
[59:58] let's
[59:58] all
[59:58] say
[59:59] I
[1:00:00] believe
[1:00:00] that
[1:00:01] Jesus
[1:00:01] is
[1:00:02] the
[1:00:02] son
[1:00:02] of
[1:00:02] God
[1:00:03] hallelujah
[1:00:04] hallelujah
[1:00:06] I
[1:00:08] believe
[1:00:09] that
[1:00:10] Jesus
[1:00:10] is
[1:00:11] the
[1:00:11] son
[1:00:12] of
[1:00:12] God
[1:00:12] he
[1:00:13] is
[1:00:13] the
[1:00:13] son
[1:00:13] of
[1:00:13] God
[1:00:14] he
[1:00:14] died
[1:00:18] on the
[1:00:18] cross
[1:00:19] for me
[1:00:19] he
[1:00:20] was
[1:00:20] rejected
[1:00:20] from
[1:00:21] my
[1:00:21] forgiveness
[1:00:21] he
[1:00:22] was
[1:00:22] bruised
[1:00:23] for
[1:00:23] my
[1:00:23] iniquities
[1:00:24] the
[1:00:24] chastisement
[1:00:25] of my
[1:00:25] peace
[1:00:26] was
[1:00:26] upon
[1:00:26] him
[1:00:26] by
[1:00:27] his
[1:00:27] choice
[1:00:28] I
[1:00:28] was
[1:00:29] healed
[1:00:29] I
[1:00:30] believe
[1:00:30] that
[1:00:31] Jesus
[1:00:31] is
[1:00:32] the
[1:00:32] son
[1:00:33] of
[1:00:33] God
[1:00:34] I
[1:00:34] believe
[1:00:35] that
[1:00:35] Jesus
[1:00:36] is
[1:00:36] the
[1:00:36] son
[1:00:37] of
[1:00:37] God
[1:00:38] I
[1:00:38] believe
[1:00:39] that
[1:00:39] Jesus
[1:00:40] is
[1:00:40] the
[1:00:41] son
[1:00:41] of
[1:00:41] God
[1:00:42] died
[1:00:43] he
[1:00:56] died
[1:01:08] because
[1:01:08] we're
[1:01:08] talking
[1:01:09] about
[1:01:09] Isaiah
[1:01:09] it's
[1:01:09] more
[1:01:10] about
[1:01:10] his
[1:01:10] death
[1:01:10] his
[1:01:11] crucifixion
[1:01:12] the
[1:01:12] way
[1:01:12] he
[1:01:12] suffered
[1:01:13] look
[1:01:13] at
[1:01:13] the
[1:01:14] last
[1:01:14] verse
[1:01:14] verse
[1:01:15] verse
[1:01:15] it
[1:01:17] says
[1:01:18] that
[1:01:18] therefore
[1:01:19] I
[1:01:20] will
[1:01:20] divide
[1:01:20] him
[1:01:21] a
[1:01:21] portion
[1:01:22] with
[1:01:22] the
[1:01:22] great
[1:01:22] and
[1:01:23] he
[1:01:23] shall
[1:01:24] divide
[1:01:24] the
[1:01:24] spoil
[1:01:25] with
[1:01:25] the
[1:01:25] strong
[1:01:25] because
[1:01:26] he
[1:01:27] poured
[1:01:27] out
[1:01:28] his
[1:01:28] soul
[1:01:28] out
[1:01:29] of
[1:01:29] death
[1:01:29] and
[1:01:30] he
[1:01:30] was
[1:01:30] numbered
[1:01:31] with
[1:01:31] the
[1:01:31] transgressions
[1:01:32] and
[1:01:32] he
[1:01:33] bore
[1:01:33] the
[1:01:33] sins
[1:01:34] of
[1:01:34] many
[1:01:34] and
[1:01:35] made
[1:01:36] intercession
[1:01:37] for
[1:01:37] the
[1:01:37] transgressions
[1:01:38] He
[1:01:38] bore
[1:01:39] the sins
[1:01:39] !
[1:01:40] This
[1:01:41] must
[1:01:42] be
[1:01:42] the
[1:01:42] Son
[1:01:42] of
[1:01:43] God
[1:01:43] This
[1:01:44] must
[1:01:44] be
[1:01:44] the
[1:01:45] Son
[1:01:45] of
[1:01:45] God
[1:01:46] That's
[1:01:49] what
[1:01:49] determines
[1:01:49] whether you
[1:01:49] are
[1:01:50] Christian
[1:01:50] or
[1:01:50] not
[1:01:50] whether
[1:01:51] you
[1:01:51] go
[1:01:51] to
[1:01:51] church
[1:01:51] or
[1:01:51] not
[1:01:52] whether
[1:01:53] your
[1:01:53] father
[1:01:54] is
[1:01:54] a
[1:01:54] pastor
[1:01:54] or
[1:01:54] a
[1:01:55] push-up
[1:01:55] what
[1:01:56] determines
[1:01:56] whether
[1:01:57] you
[1:01:57] are
[1:01:57] Christian
[1:01:57] is
[1:01:57] if
[1:01:58] you
[1:01:58] believe
[1:01:58] genuinely
[1:01:59] with
[1:01:59] all
[1:02:00] your
[1:02:00] heart
[1:02:00] that
[1:02:01] Jesus
[1:02:01] is
[1:02:02] the
[1:02:02] Son
[1:02:03] of
[1:02:03] God
[1:02:04] the
[1:02:04] Christ
[1:02:05] the
[1:02:05] Son
[1:02:06] of
[1:02:07] the
[1:02:07] living
[1:02:07] voy
[1:02:37] on that thing, on the chariot.
[1:02:39] They went down, down,
[1:02:41] going down into the water.
[1:02:43] And he was baptized. And look at the next verse.
[1:02:45] Now when they have come out
[1:02:47] of the water, that means they went into the water.
[1:02:49] When they have come up, thank you very much,
[1:02:51] up, out, so they went
[1:02:53] down into.
[1:02:55] Baptized by mission to identify
[1:02:57] with his burial.
[1:02:58] So we are baptized into his death.
[1:03:02] Burial and resurrection.
[1:03:03] And then the spirit of God
[1:03:05] caught Philip
[1:03:06] away. So the Enoch should have
[1:03:09] been worried. Ah, where's the guy? No.
[1:03:11] He couldn't be bothered. He couldn't be bothered.
[1:03:14] He couldn't be bothered.
[1:03:16] Oh, this is one of the
[1:03:17] reasons why he should be praying for me.
[1:03:19] And praying for all genuine men of God.
[1:03:21] That we don't end up trying to draw attention to
[1:03:23] ourselves.
[1:03:25] We shouldn't be the center of the work of God.
[1:03:27] Philip left.
[1:03:29] And the man was fine.
[1:03:31] The man was fine.
[1:03:33] He has met the Jesus
[1:03:34] Philip came to introduce.
[1:03:36] Philip, thank you so much.
[1:03:37] I love you so much.
[1:03:38] How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel.
[1:03:40] But what I found,
[1:03:42] even if you are not there,
[1:03:43] I always remember what you've done for me.
[1:03:45] But this is,
[1:03:46] this is what I,
[1:03:47] Jesus is enough.
[1:03:48] Jesus is enough for me.
[1:03:50] Jesus is enough for me.
[1:03:52] I pray you come to church
[1:03:53] every time and find Jesus.
[1:03:57] Not a pastor.
[1:03:59] Not nice people.
[1:04:00] It's good.
[1:04:00] All those things.
[1:04:01] But,
[1:04:02] Jesus,
[1:04:02] if you didn't find Jesus,
[1:04:04] you actually didn't come to church.
[1:04:08] And you'll find Jesus
[1:04:09] if the Bible is closed.
[1:04:12] From this scripture,
[1:04:14] he preached Christ.
[1:04:15] And,
[1:04:17] the Spirit took Philip
[1:04:18] away
[1:04:19] so that the Enoch
[1:04:20] did not see him anymore.
[1:04:22] But he couldn't be bothered.
[1:04:23] The guy,
[1:04:23] you see the same thing that happened in verse 8.
[1:04:25] There was great joy in the city.
[1:04:27] This man went.
[1:04:28] And historians,
[1:04:30] Bible historians
[1:04:30] believe that
[1:04:31] all that territory
[1:04:33] became a pastor,
[1:04:34] opened many branches
[1:04:34] in Ethiopia
[1:04:35] and established
[1:04:37] the Christian church
[1:04:38] in Africa.
[1:04:40] That one man.
[1:04:42] That one man.
[1:04:42] You might think
[1:04:44] one thing you do
[1:04:45] for one person
[1:04:45] might be something little.
[1:04:47] Don't underestimate
[1:04:48] what God can use you
[1:04:50] to trigger.
[1:04:51] Yes, that's.
[1:04:53] Where are the Philips?
[1:04:54] Let the Philips arise.
[1:04:56] Let the Philips,
[1:04:57] they are obedient servants
[1:04:58] and they don't mind
[1:04:59] the sacrifices.
[1:05:01] And,
[1:05:02] Philip now
[1:05:03] find himself,
[1:05:04] the Spirit told him
[1:05:05] to go to a place called,
[1:05:06] not Azontos.
[1:05:07] Not Azonto,
[1:05:08] okay.
[1:05:10] Azontos.
[1:05:10] He found himself
[1:05:12] in Azontos
[1:05:13] passing through.
[1:05:14] Listen,
[1:05:15] he didn't stop preaching.
[1:05:16] He preached
[1:05:17] in all the cities
[1:05:18] till he came to Caesarea.
[1:05:21] That's where he settled.
[1:05:23] So in chapter 21,
[1:05:24] verse 9,
[1:05:25] verse 8 and 9,
[1:05:26] they were in Caesarea.
[1:05:27] Philip,
[1:05:28] the evangelist,
[1:05:29] he had to protest.
[1:05:30] The next day,
[1:05:30] he went to the company
[1:05:31] of the departed
[1:05:32] and came to Caesarea
[1:05:33] and entered into the house.
[1:05:36] Philip,
[1:05:37] the evangelist.
[1:05:38] And now,
[1:05:39] can you imagine,
[1:05:39] he had seven,
[1:05:41] one of the seven,
[1:05:42] and he stayed there
[1:05:43] and he had daughters.
[1:05:44] How many daughters?
[1:05:46] Four virgin daughters
[1:05:47] who prophesied.
[1:05:50] Yeah.
[1:05:51] He was such
[1:05:52] a pure man of God,
[1:05:54] his daughters
[1:05:54] were manifesting it.
[1:05:56] His daughters
[1:05:57] were manifesting it.
[1:05:58] He was in Caesarea.
[1:06:00] He has preached.
[1:06:02] And that's the last time.
[1:06:03] Really,
[1:06:03] we didn't hear much
[1:06:04] about Philip
[1:06:04] because it's not about him.
[1:06:07] It's not about him.
[1:06:08] It's the message.
[1:06:09] He went everywhere
[1:06:09] still preaching.
[1:06:10] When the apostles
[1:06:11] left Samaria,
[1:06:12] they went through
[1:06:13] all the regions
[1:06:14] preaching the message.
[1:06:15] Philip,
[1:06:16] after this experience,
[1:06:18] he didn't cross his leg.
[1:06:19] He went everywhere
[1:06:19] preaching,
[1:06:20] preaching.
[1:06:21] The essence
[1:06:22] of your living
[1:06:23] as a Christian
[1:06:24] is the message of Christ
[1:06:25] and the testimony
[1:06:26] of Christ
[1:06:27] in your mouth.
[1:06:28] Don't be a secret
[1:06:29] service Christian.
[1:06:30] Well,
[1:06:32] I've gone way
[1:06:32] beyond my time.
[1:06:33] Did you receive something?
[1:06:35] Come on,
[1:06:36] let's give Jesus praise.
[1:06:38] Hallelujah!
