[0:00] Hallelujah. Thank you for tuning in to this powerful message by David Entry at Karis Phase 2.
[0:07] Our Christ-centered youth services. You can never find Christ outside of the open Word of God.
[0:13] May Jesus Christ reveal himself to you as you listen.
[0:18] Chapter 5, verse 1. It says that,
[0:21] Be ye therefore followers of God. What's the meaning of that?
[0:27] It's not social media following.
[0:31] At that time, when we talk about following, it's not the social media type of.
[0:35] What does it mean to follow God? How do you follow him?
[0:39] Enoch worked with God, and he was not.
[0:42] Genesis chapter 4, 26 or 25, somewhere there. 524, rather.
[0:49] Enoch worked with God, and he was not.
[0:54] For God took him. That's kind of interesting.
[0:59] He was not. He worked with God, and he was not.
[1:02] He was not a human being.
[1:04] He was not. He was not.
[1:06] That's the, he was not.
[1:08] He worked with God, and he faded away.
[1:12] He was so much into God, so much into God, he eroded away.
[1:19] One theologian put it this way.
[1:20] He was working with God, and one day they were having sweet conversation.
[1:24] They were working. They were having sweet conversation.
[1:27] They were working. They were working sweet conversation.
[1:29] And then, now it was late, and God said, okay, you have to go back.
[1:33] But we are closer to my house.
[1:36] He was, okay.
[1:36] So God said, just come.
[1:38] So he walked with God, and then just God asked him to come.
[1:43] So he walked with God.
[1:44] But the reason I said is, you walk with God?
[1:47] When you are working with somebody, it's like the pace must be the same.
[1:54] But how can a man walk with God?
[1:57] Where were they walking?
[1:59] Will he be walking?
[2:00] Because the Bible says God is a spirit.
[2:02] Will he be walking in the air?
[2:04] How did he walk?
[2:05] Obviously, if you walk with God, you'll be not.
[2:11] He was walking with God.
[2:12] One of the ways to understand this is, and you walk with God for a long time.
[2:17] It's not just three days.
[2:19] For a long time.
[2:21] When you are walking with a child, and it's different if God is walking with him.
[2:28] He was walking with God.
[2:32] So he has to double up and catch up his pace with God.
[2:37] So you can imagine the amount of work involved in attempting to walk with God.
[2:42] Yet, Enoch walked with God.
[2:45] In fact, the Bible calls him, he was the first prophet.
[2:51] The first prophet, Enoch.
[2:53] He walked with God, and God took him.
[2:59] God likes him so much.
[3:01] He says, you know what?
[3:01] I don't want you to go back.
[3:03] You don't want something.
[3:03] You are chatting with somebody on the phone.
[3:06] And you like them so much.
[3:07] Are you still there?
[3:09] Are you still there?
[3:10] Okay, bye.
[3:10] Bye.
[3:11] He said, okay, bye.
[3:14] Are you there?
[3:15] Yes.
[3:15] You two are there.
[3:16] Okay, you go first.
[3:19] God said, Enoch, come with me.
[3:23] And God took him.
[3:26] I think the book of Jude calls Enoch the first prophet.
[3:31] Hallelujah.
[3:32] Hallelujah.
[3:34] So, Enoch also, servant from Adam, prophesied.
[3:40] He prophesied.
[3:42] Prophesied all these things.
[3:45] So, Enoch walked with God and spoke for God.
[3:50] Then we come to Ephesians chapter 5, and the Bible tells us to follow God.
[3:58] Be ye therefore followers of God.
[4:02] Let's go to American Standard Version.
[4:06] Then from there we go to English.
[4:08] Let's already allow.
[4:08] Let's go.
[4:09] Therefore, he imitates of God as the love of children.
[4:14] That's a serious one.
[4:16] How can you imitate God?
[4:18] So, that following, this is the right rendering.
[4:23] The Greek sounds more like imitation than following.
[4:27] English Standard Version.
[4:33] Same.
[4:34] Practically the same.
[4:35] Therefore, be ye imitators of God as beloved.
[4:40] Children who are loved imitate God.
[4:45] That's a big ask.
[4:49] Be amplified.
[4:50] Amplified.
[4:53] Amplified says that, therefore, be imitators of God.
[4:58] Copy him and follow his example.
[5:02] As well, as well-beloved children imitate their father.
[5:10] It says that, copy God.
[5:13] Imitate God.
[5:14] You know, I just said that, WWJD.
[5:17] I will do what Jesus will do.
[5:19] So, where is that?
[5:22] Imitates God.
[5:24] Here, it means that the statement, back to the English Standard or New American,
[5:33] the statement wouldn't have been completed.
[5:34] It will make sense.
[5:37] Without the us.
[5:42] You can only imitate God when you already have his nature.
[5:51] When you have Christians, we have the nature of God in Christ.
[5:57] So, God impacts his nature and his life in Christ into us.
[6:07] So, when you have Christ, what happens is you share the divine nature.
[6:13] You can't ask a dog to imitate you or copy you.
[6:19] But you can't ask a child to copy you.
[6:22] You can't ask a cat to imitate you.
[6:29] Even though, many, nowadays, we have a lot of cartoons that dogs are jumping,
[6:36] animals are playing, and all that, like human beings,
[6:39] donkeys are talking and all that.
[6:42] Lions are talking and lions are playing.
[6:47] You know, all those things, it's not real.
[6:50] It's not real.
[6:51] So, the reason why we can imitate God, in other words, we can live God-like,
[7:00] is based on the nature of God in us.
[7:04] Now, watch this.
[7:07] Look at verse 2.
[7:08] It will help.
[7:10] Verse 2 says that,
[7:11] We should walk in love as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us,
[7:17] an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor.
[7:24] Yes?
[7:25] We should walk in love as Christ did.
[7:27] But the Bible tells us in John 15, 13.
[7:34] Greater love has no man than this,
[7:39] that a man should lay down his life for his friends.
[7:45] There's no...
[7:46] When the guy says he loves you, don't mind.
[7:51] Jesus loves you better.
[7:54] When that girl tells you I love you, don't mind.
[7:56] Jesus loves you better.
[7:57] Jesus loves you better.
[7:57] Jesus loves you better.
[7:58] Because greater love has no man than this.
[8:01] Don't sacrifice the love of Jesus for a boy.
[8:06] Don't sacrifice the love of Jesus for a girl.
[8:09] Because greater love has no man than this,
[8:13] that a man lay down his life for his friends.
[8:18] Now, in Ephesians chapter 5 verse 2,
[8:21] we are being called into this kind of love.
[8:27] Walk in love as Christ.
[8:31] That's an example.
[8:34] Just give us how this love should be.
[8:36] So church people, when we love people,
[8:40] our love is not a romantic love.
[8:42] Our love is a Christ life.
[8:44] Our concentration on God's word helps us
[8:50] stay away from fleshly mess.
[8:54] Okay, so we are Christians,
[8:56] but that side of our humanity is still there.
[9:00] If you used to, if you like lasagna
[9:03] before you become born again,
[9:05] it doesn't stop.
[9:07] Sometimes you even like it more.
[9:08] Pastor, is it not so?
[9:15] Yeah.
[9:18] So, I am crucified with Christ,
[9:21] nevertheless I live.
[9:23] Then he said, yet not I,
[9:26] but Christ who lives in me.
[9:29] And the life that you see me living,
[9:32] even though it's I and it's Christ,
[9:35] I live by faith of the Son.
[9:36] So, it's not my life I'm trying to just copy Christ.
[9:40] I live by faith of the,
[9:41] it's Christ who lives in me.
[9:42] That's when some demands can be made on us.
[9:45] Now, watch this.
[9:48] The New Testament, the Old Testament,
[9:50] or the Old Covenant is full of,
[9:53] is built on the law of Moses.
[9:57] It's law.
[9:57] So, Romans chapter 8, verse 3.
[10:02] What the law could not do,
[10:05] in that it was weak through the flesh.
[10:08] God did.
[10:10] Who did?
[10:11] God did.
[10:13] God did.
[10:14] Let's all say God did.
[10:15] God did.
[10:17] The law was meant to accomplish something.
[10:21] The law was meant, watch this,
[10:22] the law was meant to make us righteous before God.
[10:29] Accepted before God.
[10:31] So, he said,
[10:31] God said,
[10:32] you want to have a relationship with me?
[10:35] These are the terms and conditions
[10:38] for a relationship with me.
[10:41] But the terms and conditions God gave us
[10:45] was so reflective of him.
[10:48] It was so
[10:50] depicted God's nature,
[10:57] God's character,
[10:58] and God's standard.
[11:00] So much so that
[11:01] when we brought ourselves near,
[11:03] it made us look like midgets.
[11:05] The standard of God is so high,
[11:08] a fallen human being cannot meet it.
[11:11] So, the law was given from God.
[11:14] Everybody say,
[11:14] the law is good.
[11:18] The law is good.
[11:19] According to Romans chapter 7,
[11:21] I think verse 13.
[11:23] It said,
[11:24] the law is righteous.
[11:25] The law is holy.
[11:26] The law is good.
[11:27] The law is pure.
[11:29] It said,
[11:29] therefore,
[11:30] the law is holy,
[11:31] verse 12,
[11:32] and the commandments are holy,
[11:33] just,
[11:34] and good.
[11:36] Good.
[11:37] The law is not bad.
[11:39] Just that we're so bad.
[11:41] When the law comes near us,
[11:44] it makes us look badder.
[11:46] When the law comes near us,
[11:48] it makes us look worse than we.
[11:51] So,
[11:52] kind of,
[11:53] we are better off without the law.
[11:57] We are.
[11:58] He said,
[11:59] once I was alive without the law.
[12:02] Romans chapter 7.
[12:03] But the law came,
[12:05] and death sprang up.
[12:07] Oh,
[12:08] look at from verse 9.
[12:09] Romans 7,
[12:10] verse 9.
[12:11] I was alive once without the law.
[12:14] But when the commandment came,
[12:16] sin revived,
[12:17] and I died.
[12:18] Ah!
[12:18] I would have been okay
[12:23] if you have not brought this law.
[12:25] I died.
[12:27] So,
[12:27] why should God give the law
[12:28] that He knows will kill us?
[12:32] But,
[12:32] that's why I made you understand
[12:34] that the law is good.
[12:36] The law is good.
[12:38] Why is it good?
[12:39] Because it came from God.
[12:41] God is reflective of God's nature,
[12:45] God's standard,
[12:47] God's principles.
[12:50] So,
[12:50] the law in itself is good.
[12:51] But,
[12:52] we are so bad
[12:54] that when what was good came,
[12:58] it made us even look worse.
[13:01] He says that,
[13:03] look at,
[13:03] I was alive without the,
[13:05] I was not.
[13:07] I was alive,
[13:08] look from verse 9.
[13:09] Let's go to 9.
[13:09] I was alive without,
[13:12] the law.
[13:12] I was fine,
[13:13] doing okay.
[13:14] Not with my relationship with God,
[13:16] but at least I was managing like,
[13:17] ah,
[13:17] kind of fine.
[13:19] Look at verse 10.
[13:22] And the commandment,
[13:23] which was to bring me,
[13:25] was to bring me,
[13:28] so it,
[13:29] it carried the life.
[13:31] It had some kind of life.
[13:33] It was supposed to help me get life.
[13:35] That the law was to,
[13:36] rather,
[13:38] I found,
[13:39] to bring me death.
[13:41] verse 11,
[13:45] it gets even interesting.
[13:46] For sin,
[13:48] that's why it brought me dead.
[13:49] Because sin was hiding somewhere in my life.
[13:53] So,
[13:54] when,
[13:54] when the law came,
[13:56] sin took advantage of the law,
[13:58] and used it as a murder weapon to kill me.
[14:02] Because I'm so bad,
[14:05] sin has dominated my life.
[14:06] The appearance of God's standard,
[14:09] sin,
[14:10] make it so obvious,
[14:11] that I'm bad,
[14:12] and rather,
[14:13] the standard that was supposed to bring me life,
[14:15] ended up killing me.
[14:16] Because,
[14:16] this same thing,
[14:17] this same thing,
[14:18] this,
[14:18] this,
[14:18] this,
[14:19] this same thing,
[14:20] this same thing,
[14:21] not only our actions,
[14:22] not only our conduct,
[14:24] but our internal condition,
[14:26] became compromised.
[14:27] So,
[14:28] we have been,
[14:28] when man fell,
[14:30] we were compromised on the inside,
[14:32] not just only in our conduct.
[14:34] We became internally corrupt.
[14:38] The file has been corrupted.
[14:41] I was alive without the law.
[14:43] So,
[14:43] the law is good.
[14:44] So,
[14:44] Romans chapter 8,
[14:46] verse 3 says that,
[14:47] what the law could not do.
[14:49] In fact,
[14:54] chapter 3,
[14:55] verse 20,
[14:57] it says that,
[14:59] therefore,
[15:00] by the deeds of the law,
[15:01] shall no flesh,
[15:03] be justified.
[15:04] I mean,
[15:05] how can you try and be keeping law?
[15:06] So,
[15:06] God said,
[15:07] well done,
[15:08] well done.
[15:09] Why?
[15:10] Because the law is the standard of God.
[15:12] How can you,
[15:13] how can you tell God,
[15:14] okay,
[15:14] what's,
[15:15] what's your price?
[15:15] Tell me I'll pay it.
[15:18] Do,
[15:19] do you know what you're getting yourself into?
[15:24] 20 Kobo.
[15:27] 20 Naira.
[15:33] So,
[15:33] it's like telling God,
[15:35] they brought,
[15:36] they asked,
[15:37] tell,
[15:37] they told Moses,
[15:38] tell God,
[15:38] whatever you say we will do.
[15:41] God said,
[15:41] really?
[15:42] You have a high estimation of yourself.
[15:46] You look at me and tell me,
[15:47] whatever I say you do,
[15:48] you don't know you have fallen men.
[15:51] Moses,
[15:51] here are my commandments.
[15:52] The one who brought the commandments,
[15:55] the one who the commandments was given to,
[15:57] the first time,
[15:58] he broke the,
[15:59] all at once,
[16:00] all the 10 commandments,
[16:01] he broke all of them at once,
[16:03] smashed it.
[16:09] It says that,
[16:10] for by the law shall no flesh,
[16:12] for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[16:18] Okay,
[16:19] therefore,
[16:19] by the deeds of the law,
[16:20] if you are doing things based on the law,
[16:22] you cannot be justified in the sight of God.
[16:25] Maybe in the sight of people,
[16:26] they will be impressed.
[16:28] By God,
[16:28] they are not impressed.
[16:29] Why?
[16:30] Because by the law,
[16:33] is the knowledge of sin.
[16:34] Rather,
[16:34] you,
[16:35] the law is supposed to define sin for you,
[16:37] not supposed to help you,
[16:39] nor sin.
[16:41] Did you understand that?
[16:43] The law is just coming to define sin,
[16:45] so you actually know,
[16:46] how sinner you are.
[16:48] Because previously,
[16:48] you didn't know,
[16:50] how,
[16:50] because the law was not there,
[16:51] you think you are fine.
[16:53] So the law,
[16:53] oh,
[16:54] oh my goodness,
[16:55] am I that bad?
[16:59] You're going around telling people,
[17:01] you have bad breath.
[17:03] Meanwhile,
[17:03] yours is super.
[17:08] The law.
[17:09] Romans chapter 5,
[17:11] verse 20.
[17:13] It says that,
[17:14] the law came so that sin can increase.
[17:18] Moreover,
[17:19] the law entered,
[17:20] that offense might abound.
[17:24] Let's look at New Living Translation,
[17:26] how it will put it.
[17:28] It says that,
[17:28] God's law was given,
[17:30] so that all people could see,
[17:31] how sinful they were.
[17:33] It doesn't mean to help us.
[17:35] So,
[17:36] Romans chapter 5,
[17:37] chapter 8,
[17:38] verse 3 says that,
[17:39] what the law could not do,
[17:43] God did.
[17:46] That's a very important thing.
[17:48] God did.
[17:49] The law couldn't help us,
[17:50] God helped us.
[17:52] And how did God do it?
[17:53] By sending forth his son,
[17:54] in the likeness of sinful flesh,
[17:58] and condemned sin in the flesh.
[18:01] Because no one could condemn sin in the flesh.
[18:03] Remember,
[18:04] sin was rather condemning you,
[18:06] with the law.
[18:08] The law came,
[18:09] sin will use the law to condemn you.
[18:11] For the first time,
[18:12] one human being walked on the earth,
[18:14] and he condemned sin in the flesh.
[18:17] That's a serious one.
[18:21] He condemned sin.
[18:23] He was in the flesh.
[18:24] And sin was in the flesh.
[18:25] And he was able to condemn sin in the flesh.
[18:28] He lived without sin.
[18:29] He obeyed all the laws of God.
[18:31] Because he is God.
[18:33] It's only God who can meet the standards of God.
[18:36] So God gave his standard.
[18:37] God said,
[18:37] you can't meet him.
[18:38] Don't worry,
[18:38] I can't be meeting myself.
[18:41] Because the truth is that,
[18:44] angels cannot live for you.
[18:47] Man cannot sin for angels to pay.
[18:50] When man sins,
[18:52] man has to pay for his sins.
[18:54] Right?
[18:55] If I'm owing you 100 pounds,
[18:58] I can go and bring 100 shekels.
[19:02] Or I can go and bring 100 yen.
[19:05] Or dollars to say,
[19:06] okay, that's your money.
[19:07] No, no, it's not the same.
[19:10] 100 dollars is not the same as 100 pounds.
[19:15] You have cheated me.
[19:15] Even 100 euros is not the same.
[19:19] Let alone could bring 100 Ghana cities.
[19:21] Excuse me.
[19:29] So then,
[19:31] if we were owing God,
[19:34] we have to pay it.
[19:36] But how can you pay your debt with God?
[19:38] The standard of God came to help us
[19:41] to see how much we owe.
[19:45] God said,
[19:46] give me this,
[19:47] give me this.
[19:47] I can't give.
[19:48] I don't have what it takes.
[19:49] God said,
[19:50] yes,
[19:50] I gave you the law to see how helpless.
[19:53] So Romans chapter 7,
[19:54] verse 25 says,
[19:55] oh,
[19:55] wretched man.
[19:56] That's the job of the law.
[19:59] The law was supposed to push you
[20:01] to the wall
[20:03] for you to be so helpless.
[20:04] And it will make you live somewhere else
[20:07] outside of yourself
[20:08] for help.
[20:10] Because human beings are so narcissistic,
[20:14] self-centered,
[20:15] and proud.
[20:16] We think,
[20:17] I can't do it.
[20:18] So God said,
[20:19] really?
[20:20] Here's my standard.
[20:22] Until you get so frustrated,
[20:23] realize I can't do it,
[20:24] you begin to look up to,
[20:25] who can help me?
[20:27] Oh,
[20:27] wretched man that I am,
[20:29] who can deliver me
[20:31] from this body of death.
[20:35] Somebody must deliver me.
[20:37] And he said,
[20:37] thanks be to God.
[20:40] I thank God through Christ Jesus.
[20:44] Hallelujah.
[20:45] Is somebody following something?
[20:47] Sounds very simple,
[20:49] but very,
[20:49] very profound.
[20:51] The Christian message
[20:52] is about a loving God
[20:55] coming to pay the price
[20:58] on the behalf of sinful men.
[21:02] So when Jesus came to live on the earth,
[21:04] he did two things.
[21:06] Number one,
[21:07] he lived a righteous life
[21:08] based on the law of God.
[21:11] So he could ask his opponents,
[21:15] opposers.
[21:16] I think John chapter 746 or 846,
[21:20] I think 746 probably.
[21:23] He said,
[21:23] which of you
[21:25] accused me of sin?
[21:31] Do you mind?
[21:34] He said,
[21:36] I was so tired,
[21:38] but when the word of God came,
[21:39] I revived.
[21:41] Yes.
[21:42] He said,
[21:43] the Lord came and sin revived.
[21:45] Me too,
[21:45] the word came
[21:46] and my spirit revived.
[21:48] Sit down please.
[21:49] He said,
[21:50] Jesus said,
[21:51] which John 846,
[21:53] which of you
[21:54] convict me?
[21:56] How can you,
[21:57] you can't convict me.
[21:58] You can't even accuse me,
[21:59] but you can't convict me.
[21:59] I've not done anything wrong.
[22:02] Jesus told him,
[22:03] this is not his friends,
[22:04] his enemies.
[22:07] Which of you
[22:08] convict me of sin?
[22:11] Do you look at him?
[22:13] The one who betrayed him,
[22:16] the man who betrayed him,
[22:17] what was his name?
[22:18] In Matthew chapter,
[22:20] I think 27,
[22:22] after Judas got the money
[22:23] for betraying Jesus,
[22:25] he went and returned,
[22:27] after Jesus had been arrested,
[22:29] he returned the money
[22:30] to the,
[22:31] in the temple,
[22:32] yeah,
[22:33] 27.
[22:33] Then Judas,
[22:34] his betrayer,
[22:36] seeing that he had been,
[22:37] Jesus had been condemned,
[22:40] was remorseful
[22:41] and brought back
[22:42] the 30 pieces of silver
[22:44] to the jeffers,
[22:45] and the elders said,
[22:46] no,
[22:46] the money I got
[22:47] for betraying him.
[22:48] Here he is,
[22:48] here he is,
[22:49] take it back,
[22:49] take it back,
[22:50] I don't want it.
[22:51] Do you know what they told him?
[22:53] They said that,
[22:54] they said,
[22:55] say,
[22:55] because he said,
[22:57] I have sinned
[22:59] by betraying
[23:01] innocent blood.
[23:03] He knew that Jesus was
[23:05] innocent.
[23:08] He knew it.
[23:09] That's why he said,
[23:10] please,
[23:11] I can't take this money.
[23:11] Now,
[23:13] the priests,
[23:15] these were priests,
[23:16] religious people,
[23:17] they said,
[23:18] it's none of our business.
[23:19] We don't care.
[23:20] We just want to get rid of him
[23:22] and you,
[23:22] you help us do it.
[23:24] We don't care.
[23:26] They knew,
[23:27] he threw the money
[23:29] on the floor
[23:29] and went.
[23:31] They collected the money
[23:32] and said,
[23:32] no,
[23:32] this money,
[23:33] they're religious,
[23:34] this money,
[23:36] it's not good to put it
[23:37] in the treasury
[23:37] because it's blood money.
[23:39] They knew it was dirty.
[23:41] It's in your Bible.
[23:41] It's because
[23:45] they are the price
[23:46] of blood.
[23:47] They can't put it.
[23:48] It's blood money.
[23:51] It's blood money.
[23:52] No,
[23:52] no,
[23:52] no,
[23:53] you don't want this money.
[23:54] It's to contaminate them.
[23:56] They knew Jesus
[23:57] was innocent
[23:57] because he was
[24:00] the only one
[24:00] who lived
[24:01] and was faultless
[24:02] and was sinless.
[24:06] He could meet
[24:07] the standards of God.
[24:08] How come?
[24:09] How?
[24:10] Because he was
[24:10] God himself.
[24:11] that's why
[24:14] he's the only one
[24:14] who can save us
[24:15] from our sins
[24:15] because in 1 Peter
[24:17] chapter 1
[24:18] verse 19
[24:18] it says that
[24:19] you are saved
[24:19] by the precious blood,
[24:21] a blood without blemish.
[24:23] There's no
[24:24] spot.
[24:26] Without blemish,
[24:27] without spot.
[24:28] very pure.
[24:31] Acts chapter 20
[24:33] verse 28
[24:33] said,
[24:34] take it to yourself
[24:35] and to the flock
[24:36] over which the Holy Ghost
[24:37] has made the overseer
[24:38] to shepherd
[24:39] the church
[24:41] of God
[24:41] which God
[24:42] bought
[24:43] with his own
[24:44] God has got blood now.
[24:45] He purchased
[24:48] with his own blood.
[24:51] So Jesus
[24:52] was God.
[24:54] So that's why
[24:56] what the law
[24:57] could not do
[24:57] in that
[24:58] it was weak
[24:59] through the flesh.
[25:01] God did.
[25:03] That tells you
[25:04] actually Jesus
[25:04] was God.
[25:05] by sending
[25:09] his son
[25:09] in the likeness
[25:11] of sinful flesh
[25:12] and on account
[25:13] of sin
[25:14] condemned
[25:14] sin
[25:15] in the flesh.
[25:17] So he did
[25:18] two things.
[25:19] His human living
[25:20] met all
[25:21] the requirements
[25:22] and the standards
[25:23] of God.
[25:25] And then
[25:26] after he had
[25:27] done that
[25:27] he went
[25:28] to the cross
[25:29] as a perfect
[25:30] man to die
[25:31] for imperfect
[25:32] people.
[25:33] So
[25:35] 2 Peter
[25:36] chapter
[25:36] 3 verse
[25:38] 18
[25:38] or 1 Peter
[25:39] chapter 3
[25:39] verse 18
[25:40] it says that
[25:41] Christ suffered
[25:42] for
[25:43] for
[25:44] the
[25:44] those of us
[25:45] who are
[25:45] the just
[25:46] for the unjust
[25:47] that he might
[25:48] bring us
[25:49] 1 Peter
[25:50] 3 18
[25:50] for Christ
[25:51] also suffered
[25:52] once for
[25:53] what sins?
[25:55] Can you imagine
[25:56] the only human
[25:58] being who lived
[25:59] without sins
[26:00] suffered for
[26:02] sins?
[26:06] He suffered
[26:07] for sins.
[26:09] Christ
[26:09] suffered
[26:10] also suffered
[26:11] once for
[26:13] sins
[26:13] the just
[26:15] for the unjust
[26:16] why?
[26:16] There's a purpose
[26:17] that he might
[26:19] bring us
[26:19] to God
[26:20] what the law
[26:22] could not do
[26:23] in that it was
[26:25] weak through the
[26:25] flesh
[26:26] God did
[26:27] by sending
[26:28] his son
[26:28] so when he
[26:29] died on the
[26:30] cross
[26:30] he suffered
[26:31] and died
[26:31] there was
[26:32] a purpose
[26:32] for the
[26:33] suffering
[26:33] that's why
[26:34] Satan
[26:35] through Peter
[26:35] said you
[26:36] cannot die
[26:36] he said hey
[26:37] Satan get
[26:37] behind me
[26:38] because there's
[26:40] a purpose
[26:40] Satan wanted
[26:41] to block
[26:42] it
[26:42] for the
[26:45] first time
[26:46] Jesus called
[26:47] one of his
[26:48] disciples
[26:48] Satan get
[26:50] behind me
[26:50] because it
[26:52] was a demonic
[26:53] agenda
[26:53] to stop
[26:54] the cross
[26:55] that's why
[26:56] when he was
[26:57] on the cross
[26:57] they were
[26:58] shouting on him
[26:58] he said
[26:59] if you are
[27:00] the thief
[27:00] on the cross
[27:01] he said
[27:01] if you are
[27:02] a king
[27:03] save yourself
[27:04] ah
[27:05] he didn't
[27:06] come to
[27:06] save himself
[27:07] he came
[27:08] to save
[27:08] us
[27:09] he didn't
[27:13] come to
[27:13] save himself
[27:14] he came
[27:15] to save
[27:15] us
[27:16] that's why
[27:17] he had to
[27:17] stay on
[27:18] the cross
[27:18] to save
[27:18] us
[27:19] if he had
[27:20] tried to
[27:21] save himself
[27:21] we would
[27:22] have still
[27:22] been in
[27:22] our sin
[27:23] but he
[27:25] came
[27:25] so that
[27:27] he can
[27:27] bring us
[27:28] to God
[27:28] that's so
[27:30] sweet
[27:31] he came
[27:32] that he
[27:32] would bring
[27:33] us to
[27:33] God
[27:33] he suffered
[27:35] for sins
[27:36] once
[27:36] that he
[27:37] might
[27:37] bring
[27:38] us
[27:39] to
[27:39] God
[27:40] what the
[27:43] law could
[27:44] not do
[27:44] in that
[27:45] it was
[27:46] weak through
[27:46] the flesh
[27:47] God did
[27:47] God did
[27:48] we thought
[27:49] the law
[27:50] could bring
[27:50] us righteousness
[27:50] the law
[27:51] couldn't do
[27:52] it
[27:52] God said
[27:53] I'm going
[27:54] to bring
[27:54] my righteousness
[27:55] so in
[27:55] Romans chapter
[27:56] 3 verse
[27:56] 20
[27:57] Romans chapter
[27:59] 3 verse
[27:59] 20
[27:59] therefore
[28:00] by the
[28:01] deeds of
[28:01] the law
[28:02] no flesh
[28:04] will be
[28:05] justified
[28:05] in the sight
[28:06] of God
[28:06] remember
[28:06] for what
[28:07] the law
[28:08] could not
[28:08] do
[28:08] in that
[28:09] it was
[28:09] weak
[28:09] through
[28:10] the
[28:10] flesh
[28:11] flesh
[28:12] he said
[28:13] therefore
[28:13] by the
[28:14] deeds of
[28:15] the law
[28:15] no flesh
[28:16] will be
[28:18] justified
[28:18] in the sight
[28:19] of God
[28:20] for by the
[28:21] law is
[28:21] the knowledge
[28:22] of sin
[28:22] now look
[28:23] at the
[28:23] next
[28:23] verse
[28:23] verse
[28:23] 21
[28:24] but now
[28:25] but now
[28:28] but now
[28:30] but now
[28:31] but now
[28:32] the
[28:33] righteousness
[28:33] of God
[28:35] outside
[28:36] of the
[28:37] law
[28:37] you can
[28:42] be a
[28:43] human
[28:43] being on
[28:44] earth
[28:44] and get
[28:45] right with
[28:46] God
[28:46] outside
[28:47] of the
[28:47] law
[28:48] God
[28:48] they
[28:51] said
[28:51] to
[28:52] Moses
[28:52] tell
[28:53] God
[28:53] what
[28:54] you
[28:54] say
[28:55] we
[28:55] will
[28:55] do
[28:55] so
[28:56] we
[28:56] can
[28:56] look
[28:56] good
[28:57] before
[28:57] you
[28:57] God
[28:58] said
[28:58] really
[28:58] he
[28:59] gave
[28:59] them
[28:59] they
[29:00] were
[29:00] flopping
[29:00] so
[29:02] how
[29:02] do
[29:02] we
[29:03] get
[29:03] to
[29:03] God
[29:03] there
[29:03] now
[29:03] the
[29:04] only
[29:04] way
[29:04] we
[29:05] can
[29:05] do
[29:05] is
[29:05] to
[29:05] make
[29:05] sure
[29:05] how
[29:06] do
[29:06] you
[29:06] pass
[29:06] an
[29:06] exam
[29:07] write
[29:07] the
[29:08] exam
[29:08] prepare
[29:09] and write
[29:09] the
[29:09] exam
[29:09] that's the
[29:10] only way
[29:10] you can't
[29:11] pass an
[29:11] exam
[29:12] you haven't
[29:12] written
[29:12] so
[29:15] if
[29:16] you're
[29:16] going
[29:16] to
[29:16] be
[29:16] right
[29:17] with
[29:17] God
[29:17] ask
[29:18] God
[29:18] for
[29:18] what
[29:19] he
[29:19] requires
[29:19] pay
[29:20] the
[29:20] price
[29:20] and
[29:21] get
[29:21] right
[29:21] with
[29:21] God
[29:21] and
[29:22] we
[29:22] ask
[29:22] he
[29:23] gave
[29:23] us
[29:23] the
[29:23] law
[29:23] the
[29:24] law
[29:24] rather
[29:25] made
[29:25] our
[29:25] condition
[29:26] worse
[29:26] suddenly
[29:28] after
[29:28] Jesus
[29:29] comes
[29:29] the
[29:30] Bible
[29:30] says
[29:30] that
[29:30] there
[29:31] is
[29:31] another
[29:31] way
[29:32] if
[29:36] I
[29:37] were
[29:37] you
[29:37] I
[29:37] would
[29:37] say
[29:37] hallelujah
[29:38] there
[29:42] is
[29:42] another
[29:43] way
[29:44] to
[29:45] get
[29:45] right
[29:46] with
[29:46] God
[29:46] outside
[29:48] the
[29:48] law
[29:49] outside
[29:52] you
[29:52] don't
[29:52] need
[29:53] 10
[29:53] commandments
[29:53] 10
[29:57] commandments
[29:57] 10
[29:57] commandments
[29:58] can you
[29:58] keep
[29:58] it
[29:59] there
[30:03] are
[30:03] 612
[30:04] commandments
[30:05] it's
[30:06] not
[30:06] little
[30:06] that's
[30:08] why
[30:08] it's
[30:08] called
[30:08] good
[30:09] news
[30:09] because
[30:11] the
[30:11] good
[30:11] news
[30:12] is
[30:12] that
[30:12] God
[30:13] has
[30:13] made
[30:13] a way
[30:14] to
[30:14] himself
[30:14] outside
[30:15] the
[30:15] law
[30:16] religion
[30:17] is
[30:17] still
[30:17] using
[30:18] systems
[30:19] to
[30:19] get
[30:19] to
[30:20] God
[30:20] religion
[30:21] man
[30:22] made
[30:22] systems
[30:23] to
[30:23] get
[30:24] to
[30:24] God
[30:24] God
[30:26] said
[30:26] you
[30:26] can't
[30:27] use
[30:27] systems
[30:27] to
[30:27] get
[30:28] to
[30:28] me
[30:28] because
[30:29] you
[30:29] can
[30:30] get
[30:30] to
[30:30] me
[30:30] you
[30:32] can
[30:32] get
[30:32] to
[30:33] me
[30:33] so
[30:34] he
[30:34] said
[30:34] I
[30:35] would
[30:35] rather
[30:35] come
[30:36] to
[30:36] you
[30:37] have
[30:41] you
[30:41] heard
[30:42] anybody
[30:42] who
[30:42] has
[30:42] gone
[30:42] to
[30:42] heaven
[30:43] and
[30:43] back
[30:43] say
[30:44] I'm
[30:44] going
[30:44] to
[30:44] visit
[30:45] and
[30:45] come
[30:45] you
[30:46] are
[30:46] so
[30:46] special
[30:47] no
[30:50] religion
[30:50] talks
[30:50] about
[30:51] their
[30:51] leader
[30:51] who
[30:51] is
[30:52] dead
[30:52] and
[30:52] back
[30:53] they
[30:54] die
[30:54] whether
[30:55] he's
[30:56] a
[30:56] prophet
[30:56] go
[30:57] and
[30:57] never
[30:57] come
[30:58] back
[30:58] and
[30:59] they
[30:59] can't
[30:59] say
[30:59] I'm
[30:59] going
[30:59] to
[31:00] visit
[31:00] God
[31:00] and
[31:00] come
[31:00] they
[31:02] look
[31:02] like
[31:02] representative
[31:03] of
[31:03] a
[31:04] deity
[31:04] and
[31:05] they
[31:06] can
[31:06] be
[31:06] very
[31:06] formidable
[31:07] and
[31:07] impress
[31:07] a lot
[31:08] of
[31:09] people
[31:09] but
[31:09] they
[31:11] themselves
[31:11] can't
[31:11] get
[31:11] to
[31:12] God
[31:12] God
[31:13] said
[31:14] we
[31:15] told
[31:15] God
[31:15] show
[31:16] us
[31:16] any way
[31:17] to
[31:17] get
[31:17] to
[31:17] you
[31:17] we
[31:18] are
[31:18] busy
[31:18] trying
[31:18] to
[31:19] fix
[31:19] things
[31:19] God
[31:20] said
[31:20] you
[31:21] know
[31:21] I
[31:21] care
[31:21] about
[31:21] you
[31:21] don't
[31:22] come
[31:22] I
[31:22] come
[31:23] and
[31:26] Enoch
[31:27] worked
[31:27] with
[31:27] God
[31:28] and
[31:28] he
[31:29] was
[31:29] not
[31:29] why
[31:29] why
[31:31] he
[31:32] didn't
[31:32] take
[31:33] God
[31:33] it
[31:37] must
[31:37] be
[31:37] initiated
[31:38] by
[31:39] God
[31:39] so
[31:39] he
[31:39] can
[31:40] help
[31:40] us
[31:40] salvation
[31:42] must
[31:43] be
[31:43] an
[31:44] initiation
[31:44] from
[31:45] God
[31:45] not
[31:45] man
[31:46] man
[31:47] cannot
[31:47] design
[31:48] a
[31:48] system
[31:48] to
[31:48] save
[31:48] us
[31:49] else
[31:50] we
[31:50] will be
[31:51] charged
[31:51] for
[31:51] it
[31:52] you
[31:53] have
[31:56] to
[31:56] subscribe
[31:56] you
[31:57] monthly
[31:58] fee
[31:59] so
[32:05] he
[32:05] says
[32:05] that
[32:05] God
[32:08] said
[32:09] I'm
[32:09] coming
[32:09] down
[32:11] so
[32:13] when
[32:13] he
[32:13] came
[32:14] down
[32:14] he
[32:15] didn't
[32:15] come
[32:15] as
[32:15] in
[32:17] his
[32:17] glory
[32:18] as
[32:18] God
[32:18] because
[32:18] he
[32:18] ran
[32:19] away
[32:19] he
[32:20] said
[32:20] angels
[32:22] have
[32:23] to
[32:23] keep
[32:23] telling
[32:24] don't
[32:24] fear
[32:24] please
[32:25] relax
[32:27] one day
[32:28] one day
[32:30] one day
[32:31] they were
[32:31] with
[32:32] Jesus
[32:32] he
[32:33] said
[32:33] let's
[32:33] go
[32:33] I'm
[32:33] going
[32:33] to
[32:33] pray
[32:34] Matthew
[32:35] chapter
[32:35] 17
[32:36] from
[32:37] 1 to
[32:37] 3
[32:37] and
[32:38] he
[32:38] took
[32:38] them
[32:38] to
[32:38] the
[32:38] mount
[32:38] and
[32:39] as
[32:40] he
[32:40] prayed
[32:40] the
[32:41] one
[32:41] God
[32:41] used
[32:42] to
[32:42] give
[32:42] them
[32:42] the
[32:42] law
[32:43] came
[32:45] to
[32:45] say
[32:45] you
[32:46] are
[32:46] the
[32:47] reason
[32:47] for
[32:47] the
[32:47] law
[32:47] Moses
[32:48] came
[32:49] the
[32:50] one
[32:50] God
[32:50] used
[32:50] to
[32:50] tell
[32:51] them
[32:51] about
[32:52] his
[32:52] plans
[32:52] and
[32:52] the
[32:53] prophets
[32:54] the
[32:55] leader
[32:55] of
[32:55] the
[32:55] prophets
[32:56] is
[32:56] Elijah
[32:57] Elijah
[32:58] also
[32:58] came
[32:58] both
[32:59] of
[32:59] these
[32:59] people
[33:00] no one
[33:00] saw
[33:00] their
[33:00] death
[33:01] Moses
[33:04] no one
[33:04] Moses
[33:04] God
[33:05] said
[33:05] I'll
[33:05] bury
[33:05] you
[33:06] myself
[33:06] else
[33:07] the
[33:07] Israelites
[33:07] will
[33:08] make
[33:08] a
[33:08] shine
[33:08] out
[33:09] of
[33:09] you
[33:09] so
[33:09] God
[33:10] took
[33:10] him
[33:10] somewhere
[33:10] and
[33:11] he
[33:11] vanished
[33:11] God
[33:12] buried
[33:12] him
[33:13] himself
[33:13] so
[33:13] no one
[33:14] knows
[33:14] where
[33:14] Moses
[33:14] was
[33:15] and
[33:15] Elijah
[33:16] Elijah
[33:16] just
[33:17] took
[33:17] him
[33:17] away
[33:18] that
[33:21] guy
[33:21] was
[33:21] serious
[33:21] prophet
[33:26] can you
[33:26] imagine
[33:26] he was
[33:27] walking
[33:27] he said
[33:27] I'm
[33:28] about
[33:28] to
[33:28] go
[33:28] I'm
[33:29] about
[33:29] to
[33:29] go
[33:29] before
[33:30] the
[33:30] invention
[33:31] of
[33:31] plane
[33:31] I'm
[33:32] about
[33:32] to
[33:32] go
[33:32] something
[33:33] take
[33:34] planes
[33:34] go
[33:35] somewhere
[33:36] on
[33:36] earth
[33:36] rockets
[33:39] space
[33:40] shifts
[33:41] they go
[33:42] to
[33:42] go
[33:43] to
[33:43] space
[33:43] but
[33:45] to
[33:45] go
[33:45] to
[33:45] heaven
[33:46] it
[33:46] must
[33:46] be
[33:46] something
[33:47] else
[33:47] he
[33:51] came
[33:51] and
[33:51] chariot
[33:52] of fire
[33:52] took
[33:53] him
[33:53] and
[33:53] he
[33:53] didn't
[33:53] burn
[33:54] him
[33:54] so
[33:58] he
[33:58] said
[33:58] senior
[33:58] prophet
[33:59] and
[33:59] yet
[34:00] in
[34:01] Jesus'
[34:02] glory
[34:02] the
[34:04] senior
[34:04] prophet
[34:04] appears
[34:05] and
[34:06] the
[34:06] law
[34:07] giver
[34:08] appears
[34:08] and
[34:09] Bible
[34:10] said
[34:10] they
[34:10] came
[34:10] and
[34:10] they
[34:11] were
[34:11] talking
[34:11] to
[34:11] him
[34:12] so
[34:14] when
[34:15] he
[34:15] was
[34:15] on
[34:15] the
[34:15] floor
[34:15] he
[34:15] said
[34:15] he
[34:16] said
[34:18] he
[34:18] called
[34:18] Elijah
[34:19] Elijah
[34:19] already
[34:20] came
[34:20] to
[34:20] talk
[34:21] to
[34:21] him
[34:21] preparing
[34:21] for
[34:21] the
[34:21] cross
[34:22] he
[34:23] said
[34:23] I
[34:23] called
[34:23] Elijah
[34:24] to
[34:24] bring
[34:24] Elijah
[34:25] said
[34:25] that's
[34:25] my
[34:25] boss
[34:26] what
[34:31] the
[34:31] law
[34:31] could
[34:31] not
[34:32] do
[34:32] so
[34:35] Jesus
[34:37] came
[34:37] down
[34:38] as
[34:38] God
[34:39] but
[34:39] not
[34:40] in
[34:41] his
[34:41] full
[34:41] glory
[34:42] as
[34:42] God
[34:42] else
[34:42] we
[34:43] will
[34:43] run
[34:43] away
[34:43] so
[34:44] when
[34:44] he
[34:44] took
[34:45] them
[34:45] to
[34:45] the
[34:45] mount
[34:45] of
[34:45] transfiguration
[34:46] he
[34:47] just
[34:47] allowed
[34:48] a
[34:48] little
[34:49] glimpse
[34:49] of
[34:50] what
[34:50] we
[34:51] because
[34:51] listen
[34:52] in
[34:52] John
[34:52] chapter
[34:52] 17
[34:53] verse 5
[34:54] says
[34:54] that
[34:54] oh
[34:55] now
[34:55] now
[34:56] oh
[34:56] father
[34:56] glorify
[34:57] me
[34:57] together
[34:58] with
[34:58] yourself
[34:59] with
[34:59] the
[35:00] glory
[35:00] which
[35:00] I
[35:01] had
[35:01] with
[35:01] you
[35:02] that's
[35:06] that's
[35:06] yours
[35:07] he said
[35:08] glorify
[35:10] yourself
[35:11] glorify
[35:13] me
[35:14] together
[35:14] with
[35:15] yourself
[35:15] with
[35:16] the
[35:17] glory
[35:17] that
[35:18] I
[35:18] had
[35:18] with
[35:19] you
[35:19] which
[35:20] religious
[35:20] leader
[35:21] can
[35:21] say
[35:21] this
[35:21] he
[35:24] said
[35:25] I
[35:25] had
[35:25] glory
[35:25] with
[35:25] you
[35:26] which
[35:27] religious
[35:27] leader
[35:27] can
[35:28] dare
[35:28] to
[35:28] say
[35:28] I
[35:29] and
[35:29] the
[35:30] father
[35:30] are
[35:30] one
[35:31] which
[35:34] religious
[35:34] did
[35:35] anybody
[35:35] say
[35:36] something
[35:36] like
[35:36] that
[35:36] which
[35:37] religious
[35:38] leader
[35:38] can
[35:38] say
[35:39] before
[35:39] Abraham
[35:40] I
[35:40] am
[35:40] which
[35:44] religious
[35:45] leader
[35:45] can
[35:45] say
[35:46] I
[35:46] am
[35:46] the
[35:46] resurrection
[35:47] please
[35:54] sit
[35:54] down
[35:54] John
[35:54] 11
[35:55] 25
[35:55] yes
[35:57] we
[35:58] can
[35:58] say
[35:58] that
[35:58] John
[36:01] chapter
[36:01] 10
[36:02] verse
[36:02] 18
[36:02] which
[36:03] religious
[36:03] leader
[36:03] said
[36:04] I
[36:04] laid
[36:05] down
[36:05] my
[36:05] life
[36:05] Magana
[36:12] Shagaya
[36:12] sit
[36:14] up
[36:14] which
[36:16] religious
[36:17] leader
[36:17] can
[36:18] say
[36:18] I
[36:19] am
[36:19] the
[36:19] way
[36:20] the
[36:21] truth
[36:21] no
[36:23] one
[36:23] comes
[36:24] to
[36:24] the
[36:24] father
[36:24] except
[36:25] by
[36:25] me
[36:26] which
[36:31] religious
[36:32] leader
[36:33] can
[36:33] say
[36:33] that
[36:33] let's
[36:35] get
[36:35] different
[36:36] when
[36:43] dying
[36:44] can
[36:45] tell
[36:45] a
[36:47] criminal
[36:47] today
[36:48] you
[36:49] will be
[36:49] with
[36:49] me
[36:49] in
[36:50] paradise
[36:50] !
[36:50] I
[36:51] can
[36:51] say
[36:52] this
[36:52] when
[36:53] he
[36:54] was
[36:55] dying
[36:56] can
[36:56] tell
[36:57] a
[36:57] criminal
[36:57] today
[36:58] you
[36:59] will be
[36:59] with
[36:59] me
[37:00] in
[37:01] paradise
[37:02] today
[37:02] you
[37:03] will
[37:03] be
[37:03] with
[37:03] me
[37:04] in
[37:04] paradise
[37:05] so
[37:17] he
[37:17] says
[37:17] glorify
[37:19] yourself
[37:20] in
[37:21] me
[37:21] with
[37:21] the
[37:21] glory
[37:22] that
[37:23] I
[37:23] had
[37:24] with
[37:24] you
[37:24] before
[37:25] the
[37:26] world
[37:26] began
[37:26] oh
[37:27] so
[37:28] he's
[37:28] trying
[37:28] to
[37:28] say
[37:28] that
[37:28] I
[37:29] have
[37:29] always
[37:29] been
[37:29] before
[37:29] the
[37:30] world
[37:30] began
[37:30] does
[37:32] it
[37:32] take
[37:32] rocket
[37:33] science
[37:33] to
[37:33] know
[37:34] that
[37:34] he's
[37:34] not
[37:34] an
[37:35] ordinary
[37:35] human
[37:35] being
[37:36] are
[37:36] you
[37:36] so
[37:36] damn
[37:37] how
[37:39] can
[37:39] you
[37:39] be
[37:39] so
[37:39] damn
[37:40] and
[37:40] think
[37:40] Jesus
[37:40] is
[37:40] an
[37:40] ordinary
[37:41] human
[37:41] being
[37:41] which
[37:42] ordinary
[37:42] human
[37:42] being
[37:42] talks
[37:43] like
[37:43] that
[37:43] that
[37:47] glorify
[37:48] me
[37:48] with
[37:48] the
[37:48] glory
[37:48] I
[37:49] had
[37:49] with
[37:49] you
[37:49] hey
[37:50] this
[37:51] guy
[37:51] feels
[37:52] himself
[37:52] he's
[37:52] telling
[37:53] God
[37:53] that
[37:53] I
[37:53] had
[37:54] glory
[37:54] with
[37:54] you
[37:54] before
[37:55] the
[37:56] world
[37:56] began
[37:56] !
[38:00] please
[38:07] sit
[38:07] down
[38:07] so
[38:14] the
[38:14] Christian
[38:14] message
[38:14] is
[38:15] Jesus
[38:15] is
[38:15] God
[38:15] and
[38:17] he
[38:17] came
[38:17] to
[38:17] die
[38:17] for
[38:18] our
[38:18] sins
[38:19] we
[38:19] are
[38:19] sinful
[38:20] we
[38:20] couldn't
[38:20] help
[38:21] ourselves
[38:21] and
[38:22] the
[38:22] standard
[38:22] of
[38:22] God
[38:23] was
[38:23] actually
[38:23] drowning
[38:24] us
[38:24] so
[38:25] he
[38:25] says
[38:26] that
[38:26] but
[38:27] the
[38:27] righteousness
[38:27] of
[38:28] God
[38:28] apart
[38:30] from
[38:30] the
[38:31] law
[38:31] watch
[38:32] this
[38:32] has
[38:33] now
[38:34] the
[38:34] righteousness
[38:35] of
[38:35] God
[38:36] apart
[38:36] from
[38:36] the
[38:37] law
[38:37] is
[38:37] now
[38:37] revealed
[38:38] being
[38:39] witnessed
[38:39] by
[38:39] Moses
[38:40] and
[38:40] Elijah
[38:40] whatever
[38:46] Moses
[38:47] wrote
[38:47] was
[38:48] pointing
[38:48] to
[38:49] the
[38:49] day
[38:49] that's
[38:50] why
[38:50] Jesus
[38:50] said
[38:51] in
[38:51] John
[38:51] chapter
[38:51] 5
[38:51] 46
[38:52] that
[38:52] Moses
[38:53] wrote
[38:53] about
[38:54] me
[38:54] I
[38:58] was
[38:58] his
[38:58] subject
[38:59] I
[38:59] was
[38:59] his
[38:59] topic
[39:00] Moses
[39:02] you
[39:02] won't
[39:03] believe
[39:03] Moses
[39:03] wrote
[39:04] about
[39:05] me
[39:05] if
[39:06] you
[39:06] believe
[39:06] Moses
[39:07] you
[39:07] will
[39:07] believe
[39:08] me
[39:08] there's
[39:10] no way
[39:10] you
[39:10] can
[39:10] say
[39:11] you
[39:11] have
[39:11] followed
[39:11] Moses
[39:11] and I
[39:12] come
[39:12] and say
[39:12] no
[39:12] I
[39:13] don't
[39:13] like
[39:13] you
[39:13] because
[39:14] everything
[39:14] Moses
[39:15] was doing
[39:15] was
[39:15] about
[39:15] me
[39:16] so
[39:17] when
[39:17] I
[39:17] come
[39:17] it's
[39:18] so
[39:18] natural
[39:18] it's
[39:18] natural
[39:19] it just
[39:19] flows
[39:20] it
[39:22] flows
[39:22] when
[39:23] you see
[39:24] a man
[39:24] pregnant
[39:24] you
[39:24] be
[39:25] confused
[39:25] but
[39:27] you
[39:27] see
[39:28] a wife
[39:28] pregnant
[39:29] you
[39:29] are
[39:30] not
[39:30] surprised
[39:30] at
[39:30] all
[39:30] you
[39:31] are
[39:31] actually
[39:31] happy
[39:31] wow
[39:32] it's
[39:34] part
[39:34] of
[39:34] it's
[39:34] natural
[39:35] it flows
[39:36] it's
[39:36] a natural
[39:38] progression
[39:38] it's
[39:39] a logical
[39:40] derivation
[39:42] or
[39:42] progression
[39:42] so
[39:43] if
[39:44] you
[39:44] really
[39:44] following
[39:45] Moses
[39:45] there's
[39:46] no way
[39:46] I
[39:46] show
[39:47] up
[39:47] and
[39:47] you
[39:48] will
[39:48] notice
[39:48] me
[39:48] or
[39:49] you
[39:49] ignore
[39:49] me
[39:49] that
[39:50] means
[39:51] that
[39:51] you
[39:51] are
[39:52] following
[39:52] you
[39:53] are
[39:53] not
[39:53] following
[39:53] Moses
[39:54] you
[39:54] are
[39:54] following
[39:55] something
[39:55] apart
[39:56] from
[39:56] Moses
[39:56] you
[39:58] can't
[39:58] claim
[39:58] you
[39:59] know
[39:59] God
[40:00] and
[40:00] fight
[40:00] church
[40:01] he
[40:08] said
[40:08] if
[40:08] Abraham
[40:09] were your
[40:09] father
[40:09] John
[40:11] chapter
[40:11] 8
[40:12] 40
[40:12] 39
[40:14] 30
[40:15] 40
[40:15] he
[40:16] said
[40:16] Abraham
[40:17] does
[40:17] not do
[40:18] these
[40:18] things
[40:18] you
[40:18] say
[40:19] he
[40:20] answered
[40:20] and
[40:21] said
[40:21] if
[40:21] you
[40:22] were
[40:22] Abraham
[40:22] children
[40:22] you
[40:23] will
[40:23] do
[40:23] the
[40:24] works
[40:24] of
[40:24] Abraham
[40:24] but
[40:26] you
[40:26] are
[40:26] of
[40:26] your
[40:26] father
[40:27] the
[40:27] devil
[40:28] hallelujah
[40:35] !
[40:35] Jesus
[40:36] came
[40:39] to
[40:41] live
[40:41] the
[40:42] standard
[40:42] meet
[40:44] all
[40:44] the
[40:44] standards
[40:45] of
[40:45] the
[40:45] law
[40:45] so that a human being has lived that life
[40:49] and accrued the credit
[40:52] so that when you come to,
[40:54] and then not just that,
[40:55] he went to the cross to die for our sins.
[41:00] So when you come to him
[41:02] and he lives his life in you,
[41:04] your sins are of a necessity forgiven.
[41:08] God cannot hold your sins against you
[41:10] if you are in Christ.
[41:12] Why?
[41:13] Because the sin has been paid for.
[41:17] John chapter 19 verse 30,
[41:19] he said, it is finished.
[41:22] I've paid.
[41:23] I've paid it for.
[41:25] It's finished.
[41:26] It is finished.
[41:27] I've paid for the sins of that brother.
[41:29] So last two weeks or so,
[41:31] I was teaching and I said,
[41:32] God doesn't forgive sins arbitrarily.
[41:35] They just look at you.
[41:36] Oh, the way you feel sorry.
[41:38] I forgive.
[41:38] No, he can't forgive sins.
[41:40] It's just like you go to the bank
[41:41] and you have taken a loan
[41:42] 10,000 pounds loan.
[41:44] And then later on,
[41:45] things didn't go well.
[41:47] And he told them that,
[41:48] you know what?
[41:48] Everything's for so.
[41:49] And the bank manager says,
[41:50] I understand.
[41:51] Don't worry.
[41:51] He just,
[41:52] no.
[41:54] If the bank manager likes you so much
[41:56] and you are his cousin
[41:58] or you are her friend,
[42:00] then she will have to use her own money
[42:02] to write off.
[42:04] No.
[42:04] No.
[42:05] So if God wants to forgive you,
[42:07] there must be legitimate,
[42:10] legal,
[42:11] judicial grounds
[42:12] for your forgiveness.
[42:14] Else,
[42:15] that's not justice.
[42:16] Why must he forgive this one
[42:18] and not forgive that one?
[42:20] That's not fair.
[42:22] It's not justice.
[42:23] So on the cross,
[42:24] two thieves,
[42:25] they are all condemned criminals.
[42:28] One received forgiveness,
[42:29] the other one didn't receive.
[42:30] On what grounds?
[42:31] Not because of what they have done,
[42:32] but because of faith in Jesus.
[42:35] So whilst he was dying on the cross,
[42:37] he wasn't dying his death.
[42:38] He was dying for our sins.
[42:40] So whosoever believes in him,
[42:43] the sins he died for,
[42:45] covers you,
[42:46] your sin.
[42:47] If you don't believe in him,
[42:48] you are on your own.
[42:50] You will die and go to hell
[42:52] and bang in hell.
[42:54] Why would you do that?
[42:56] I thought you were smart.
[42:58] Why would you do that?
[42:59] But I don't believe.
[43:00] Die and see.
[43:02] I don't believe it.
[43:09] I don't believe it.
[43:10] You believe your age?
[43:14] You believe your date of birth?
[43:17] Were you there?
[43:22] Did you supervise your birth?
[43:24] Please.
[43:26] Even sometimes,
[43:27] people are not sure
[43:27] of who their father is.
[43:28] So sometimes,
[43:38] in arrogance,
[43:39] I don't believe all these things.
[43:41] I don't mean,
[43:41] the Bible is not true.
[43:43] The Bible,
[43:43] you have read it from page to page,
[43:44] cover to cover.
[43:46] You've read it from cover.
[43:47] Did you find out yourself
[43:49] or someone told you it's not true?
[43:50] I thought you were a bit smart.
[43:55] Now you've hit below the belt
[43:56] and doesn't make you look
[43:58] wise at all.
[44:00] For it to say,
[44:00] the Bible is not true,
[44:01] the Bible is not true.
[44:02] On what grounds?
[44:03] What's your basis?
[44:04] Have you checked it yourself?
[44:06] Have you researched it yourself?
[44:07] You haven't.
[44:08] So why are you running
[44:09] on such a conclusion?
[44:10] What if eternal life is real?
[44:14] For it's appointed unto man.
[44:17] And after that,
[44:18] after that,
[44:20] not reincarnation.
[44:22] You are not coming back.
[44:24] You are not coming back.
[44:26] You are not coming back.
[44:28] Prepare to meet the Lord.
[44:29] You are not coming back.
[44:31] Prepare to meet your Lord.
[44:33] You are not coming back.
[44:36] Hallelujah.
[44:36] You stay there and say,
[44:43] I don't believe.
[44:44] I don't believe.
[44:45] It doesn't affect anybody
[44:46] but you.
[44:49] The thief on the cross.
[44:51] The other one said,
[44:52] I just want an escape.
[44:55] I'm not looking for
[44:56] conversion.
[44:58] I'm not looking for
[45:00] forgiveness of sin.
[45:01] I'm not looking for redemption.
[45:03] I just need an escape.
[45:04] Can this church help me
[45:05] just escape from my problems?
[45:07] I'm looking for a guy.
[45:08] And I hear that
[45:09] there are nice guys
[45:10] in the church.
[45:12] This salvation,
[45:13] salvation business.
[45:14] I'm not interested.
[45:16] So there are people
[45:17] who come around the church.
[45:18] There are mothers
[45:18] and fathers who said,
[45:20] I like the way
[45:20] this boy has changed.
[45:22] Can you come to your church?
[45:23] Ah.
[45:23] No.
[45:24] We are not a changing organization.
[45:26] We are a Christ organization.
[45:29] It is.
[45:30] If the person
[45:31] can receive Christ,
[45:33] then we can guarantee
[45:34] because the signs
[45:36] of a genuine conversion
[45:37] is that there will be
[45:38] a change of life.
[45:42] When people receive Christ,
[45:44] their lives invariably change.
[45:47] So some of you,
[45:48] already you know
[45:49] what I'm implying.
[45:50] I'm implying that
[45:51] the way your life
[45:52] hasn't changed,
[45:52] you have not been converted.
[45:53] You are actually not saved.
[45:56] You are actually not saved.
[45:57] You are actually not
[45:57] genuinely converted.
[45:59] You are not genuinely
[45:59] born again because
[46:00] one of the signs
[46:01] of genuine conversion
[46:02] is transformation
[46:04] of life.
[46:07] Transformed lives.
[46:10] So you are coming to the church.
[46:11] Oh,
[46:11] can we send some criminals
[46:14] here so that they can change?
[46:16] We can't guarantee.
[46:18] We can't guarantee.
[46:20] Because
[46:20] even Jesus
[46:21] couldn't change
[46:22] the other criminal.
[46:23] even Jesus.
[46:27] Now,
[46:28] it's not just that
[46:29] even Jesus.
[46:30] That criminal
[46:30] was at his last
[46:32] stages of life.
[46:33] And even that one
[46:34] could not be saved.
[46:36] He was dying.
[46:39] Why don't you
[46:39] die saved?
[46:44] Because
[46:44] really,
[46:45] you don't have
[46:45] anything to lose.
[46:47] So,
[46:48] that's why Jesus
[46:48] came to live
[46:49] a certain life
[46:50] to
[46:53] have the
[46:54] credit of righteousness.
[46:56] So,
[46:56] when you appear
[46:57] before God
[46:58] and you are in Christ,
[47:00] you don't come
[47:01] in your own righteousness
[47:02] because you don't
[47:02] get it.
[47:04] Your righteousness
[47:04] won't do.
[47:06] You come in
[47:07] somebody else's
[47:08] righteousness.
[47:11] Like,
[47:12] you want to go
[47:13] take your friend
[47:14] to the restaurant
[47:14] but you don't
[47:15] really have money
[47:16] on your own.
[47:17] Then,
[47:17] I give you
[47:18] my card.
[47:20] So,
[47:21] you can buy
[47:21] whatever
[47:22] because there's
[47:23] money on the card.
[47:26] It doesn't matter
[47:27] whose card it is
[47:28] as long as
[47:29] you have been
[47:29] authorized
[47:30] to use it.
[47:33] We have been
[47:34] authorized
[47:34] to swipe
[47:35] on the righteous
[47:36] account
[47:37] of Christ.
[47:42] You're authorized.
[47:43] So,
[47:44] when you are
[47:44] praying,
[47:45] that's why
[47:45] Christians pray
[47:46] in the name
[47:47] of Jesus.
[47:49] That means
[47:49] you are swiping
[47:50] not on your
[47:51] account,
[47:52] on the righteous
[47:55] account
[47:56] of Christ.
[47:58] That's what
[47:59] it means.
[48:00] So,
[48:00] as I told you,
[48:02] God doesn't
[48:02] arbitrarily just
[48:03] excuse people
[48:04] of sins.
[48:05] There must
[48:06] be grounds.
[48:07] So,
[48:07] Christ died
[48:08] so when God
[48:09] can forgive,
[48:10] he forgave
[48:10] on the grounds
[48:11] of the punishment
[48:13] he has given
[48:13] to Christ.
[48:15] So,
[48:15] he actually
[48:16] punished sins.
[48:18] But your sins
[48:19] will be punished.
[48:21] If you are in
[48:22] Christ,
[48:22] it has been
[48:23] punished in retrospect
[48:24] on Christ.
[48:26] It's already
[48:27] punished.
[48:28] So,
[48:29] when you are in
[48:30] Christ and you
[48:30] even fall into
[48:31] sin,
[48:32] as long as you
[48:33] are in Christ,
[48:35] God will not,
[48:36] he can
[48:36] chastise you,
[48:37] he can discipline
[48:38] you,
[48:39] but he doesn't
[48:40] punish Christians
[48:41] for sins.
[48:42] because it will
[48:44] be double jeopardy.
[48:47] He's already
[48:48] punished on
[48:48] Christ.
[48:50] Christ has
[48:51] absorbed,
[48:53] that's why
[48:53] on the cross,
[48:54] my God,
[48:59] why have you
[48:59] forsaken me?
[49:00] He took on,
[49:01] 2 Corinthians
[49:02] chapter 5
[49:03] verse 21,
[49:04] God made
[49:04] him who
[49:05] knew no sin
[49:06] to be sin
[49:07] for us.
[49:10] Galatians
[49:11] chapter 1,
[49:12] verse 4,
[49:13] he says that
[49:13] God sent
[49:15] God,
[49:16] God's son,
[49:17] he gave himself
[49:18] for our sins
[49:20] that he might
[49:21] deliver us
[49:21] from this
[49:22] present evil
[49:23] age,
[49:24] according to
[49:25] the will of
[49:26] God the
[49:26] father.
[49:27] He gave
[49:27] himself for
[49:28] us.
[49:30] He said,
[49:30] yeah,
[49:30] I'll take the
[49:31] bullets,
[49:32] the bullets for
[49:33] him.
[49:34] He took the
[49:35] bullets for
[49:35] our punishment.
[49:37] So,
[49:38] Isaiah 53
[49:39] said,
[49:40] by his,
[49:40] by the,
[49:41] the,
[49:42] chastisement
[49:43] of our
[49:43] peace
[49:44] was upon
[49:45] him,
[49:46] and by
[49:46] his stripes
[49:47] we are
[49:48] here.
[49:48] Ah,
[49:49] ah,
[49:50] ah,
[49:52] ah,
[49:53] ah.
[49:54] what has
[49:58] this got to
[49:59] do with
[49:59] Ephesians
[49:59] chapter 5?
[50:00] Now,
[50:00] let's connect
[50:01] and close.
[50:05] Let's connect
[50:05] and close.
[50:06] I just got
[50:07] caught up in
[50:08] talking about
[50:08] Christ.
[50:08] It's so sweet.
[50:09] love it.
[50:10] Love it.
[50:10] Love it.
[50:11] One of the
[50:12] signs that
[50:12] you are
[50:13] genuinely
[50:13] converted
[50:15] is that
[50:17] you appreciate
[50:18] the gospel.
[50:19] Yes.
[50:20] I love it.
[50:21] And you
[50:22] have an
[50:22] appetite for
[50:23] God's word,
[50:25] the Bible.
[50:26] There's no
[50:27] amount of
[50:27] preaching of
[50:29] Christ or
[50:29] of the true
[50:30] gospel that
[50:31] will ever
[50:32] bore
[50:33] !
[50:39] So,
[50:40] now,
[50:41] the reason
[50:41] I told you
[50:42] so much
[50:42] about Jesus
[50:43] and what
[50:44] he came
[50:45] to do
[50:45] on earth
[50:46] and the
[50:46] law
[50:46] was that
[50:48] the law
[50:49] is 612
[50:51] commandments
[50:52] and it's
[50:55] hard for
[50:55] the people
[50:55] to take
[50:56] keep.
[50:57] But what
[50:58] people don't
[50:58] realize is
[50:59] Christianity
[51:00] is harder
[51:01] because
[51:04] Ephesians
[51:07] chapter 5
[51:08] verse 1
[51:09] says that
[51:10] imitate
[51:10] God.
[51:13] That's
[51:13] harder than
[51:14] just keeping
[51:14] the law.
[51:18] Be
[51:18] imitators
[51:19] of God
[51:20] as beloved
[51:21] children.
[51:21] Be
[51:21] imitated.
[51:22] Jesus
[51:23] Christ,
[51:24] listen,
[51:25] in Matthew
[51:26] chapter 5,
[51:27] this one will
[51:28] be good for
[51:28] most of you,
[51:29] verse 28.
[51:31] Let's go to
[51:31] verse 27.
[51:34] Let's start
[51:34] from 27.
[51:35] You have
[51:36] heard that
[51:36] it was
[51:37] said of
[51:38] them of
[51:39] old.
[51:39] Thou
[51:40] shall
[51:40] not
[51:40] come in
[51:41] the
[51:41] old.
[51:43] So he
[51:43] said that's
[51:44] the standard.
[51:45] But I'm
[51:45] taking it
[51:46] further.
[51:49] He said
[51:49] looking,
[51:54] he said it
[51:56] has already
[51:57] happened.
[51:59] Which one
[52:00] is more
[52:00] difficult?
[52:02] Jesus'
[52:03] standard is
[52:04] higher than
[52:05] the Mosaic
[52:05] standard.
[52:09] So,
[52:11] what is
[52:11] this argument?
[52:12] If the
[52:13] law could
[52:14] not do
[52:14] some things
[52:15] in the
[52:16] flesh,
[52:18] and you
[52:18] are coming
[52:18] to help
[52:18] us,
[52:19] why do
[52:19] you lift
[52:19] up the
[52:20] bar?
[52:21] Why do
[52:21] you raise
[52:22] the bar?
[52:22] Why do
[52:23] you tell
[52:23] me to
[52:23] love my
[52:24] enemies?
[52:26] The law
[52:27] says an
[52:27] eye for
[52:28] an eye,
[52:29] and a
[52:29] tooth for
[52:29] a tooth.
[52:30] But you
[52:31] are telling
[52:31] me that I
[52:32] should love
[52:32] my enemies.
[52:35] How can I
[52:35] do that?
[52:37] Jesus changed
[52:38] the game.
[52:38] So in
[52:39] Galatians
[52:39] chapter 5,
[52:41] verse 24,
[52:43] after he
[52:44] says,
[52:44] or 23 and
[52:45] 24,
[52:45] after he
[52:46] mentions the
[52:47] fruit of
[52:49] the spirit,
[52:50] then,
[52:51] verse 23,
[52:52] no,
[52:52] no,
[52:53] 23,
[52:55] it's a
[52:55] continuation
[52:56] from 22.
[52:57] He said,
[52:57] against such
[52:58] there's no
[52:59] law.
[53:00] No one
[53:01] can legislate
[53:02] against the
[53:03] fruit of
[53:03] the spirit.
[53:04] How can
[53:05] someone
[53:05] legislate
[53:06] against being
[53:06] meek?
[53:08] Some of
[53:08] you,
[53:08] the people
[53:09] you remember
[53:09] in your
[53:10] life,
[53:11] that are
[53:11] so nice
[53:12] to be
[53:12] with meek
[53:13] people,
[53:14] so gentle,
[53:15] even when
[53:15] you are
[53:15] wrong,
[53:16] the way
[53:16] they tell
[53:16] you,
[53:17] oh,
[53:17] you could
[53:17] have done
[53:18] it better.
[53:19] That's
[53:19] why some
[53:19] of you
[53:19] like some
[53:20] of your
[53:20] aunties
[53:21] and you
[53:21] don't
[53:21] like the
[53:21] others.
[53:25] The meek
[53:25] people,
[53:26] everybody
[53:26] likes meek
[53:27] person.
[53:28] Everybody
[53:28] likes
[53:29] someone
[53:29] who has
[53:30] temperance.
[53:31] So you
[53:32] misbehave
[53:32] and you
[53:32] are doing
[53:33] it,
[53:33] he has
[53:33] patience.
[53:35] Temperance.
[53:36] He has
[53:36] time,
[53:37] he has
[53:37] patience for
[53:38] you,
[53:38] he knows
[53:38] you are
[53:39] wrong,
[53:39] but he
[53:40] takes his
[53:40] time to
[53:40] help you
[53:41] to get
[53:41] it.
[53:42] How can
[53:43] you legislate
[53:43] against something
[53:44] like that?
[53:44] How can
[53:45] you make
[53:45] a law
[53:45] against
[53:46] love?
[53:48] Not
[53:48] lust,
[53:49] love.
[53:50] Verse 22,
[53:51] against
[53:51] love,
[53:51] the fruit
[53:52] of the
[53:52] spirit is
[53:53] love,
[53:54] joy,
[53:55] peace.
[53:56] How can
[53:56] you make
[53:56] a law
[53:56] against peace?
[53:59] Against
[53:59] long
[53:59] suffering,
[54:00] someone who
[54:00] is able
[54:01] to take
[54:01] the pain
[54:02] for a
[54:02] long time
[54:03] without
[54:04] reacting
[54:04] wrongly?
[54:06] You can't
[54:07] legislate.
[54:07] So he
[54:07] says,
[54:08] these are
[54:08] higher standards.
[54:09] And he
[54:10] said,
[54:11] against
[54:11] such,
[54:12] there is
[54:12] no law.
[54:15] So you
[54:15] have come
[54:16] into something
[54:17] that is
[54:17] higher than
[54:18] ten commandments.
[54:22] Huh?
[54:22] Then I'm in
[54:23] trouble,
[54:23] how can I
[54:24] leave it?
[54:25] You don't
[54:25] have to
[54:25] leave it,
[54:26] you have
[54:26] to have
[54:27] the nature
[54:27] of Christ.
[54:30] That's the
[54:31] only way
[54:31] we can do
[54:32] it.
[54:33] We have
[54:34] the nature
[54:34] and the
[54:35] life of
[54:35] Christ.
[54:36] When you
[54:37] have the
[54:37] nature and
[54:38] the life
[54:38] of Christ,
[54:39] it comes
[54:40] naturally.
[54:41] So,
[54:42] what I'm
[54:42] trying to
[54:42] say is,
[54:43] if the
[54:43] Bible says
[54:44] that we
[54:44] should
[54:44] imitate
[54:45] God,
[54:46] that means
[54:46] we have
[54:47] the
[54:47] supernatural,
[54:49] supernaturally
[54:49] natural,
[54:50] or naturally
[54:53] supernatural.
[54:55] By default,
[54:56] we have
[54:56] that supernatural
[54:57] life that
[54:59] makes us
[55:00] be able to
[55:00] live and
[55:02] imitate
[55:02] Christ.
[55:04] Then he
[55:05] goes on,
[55:05] walk in
[55:06] love.
[55:07] Next week,
[55:07] I'll pick
[55:08] that.
[55:08] I should
[55:09] walk in
[55:09] love.
[55:11] Ask
[55:11] Christ
[55:12] to
[55:14] walk in
[55:16] love.
