speaker-0: Hello and welcome to For Fox's sake, the home of Independent. In depth Leicester City Football Club coverage. We've got some giggles from Joe and James there. Is that because of the the drama of Pete Selby's new titles? You can see him nodding, really impressed with himself there. Is that ⁓
speaker-1: I love it. I love it.
speaker-2: time I've seen it yeah.
speaker-1: I'm an artistic type. I don't normally ⁓ say you should use AI, but that is a brilliant use of AI, I must say. But
speaker-0: How did you know it was AI?
speaker-3: And and also I've I've I've been down to Filbert Street with my phone, with a with a camera crew, and I've trained a fox all summer to do that sort of thing. You know what I mean? So I don't know what you're talking about, but you know, it's very good. I

speaker-3: Well, I mean it's great to be with you, Rob Hayes, sports fans, everyone. ⁓ also it's great to be with the breakout star of last season, and that's James Terrell with with the prediction of Leicester being relegated. So let's ch let's just like let's just clap our hands. No, no, no, we're not gonna clap, James. But yeah, a little salute, I would say. That's that's a good idea, Joe. But yeah, so James was the breakout star of last year. ⁓ this year I'm gonna be s slightly obvious, but I think it's someone who's gonna be playing most of our games and anchor in the midfield. I think it's Sammy Braybrook, who's gonna be the breakout star because I think he's gonna move from a player that we all thought might have played more last season and and we all think will be eventually a Leicester City regular midfielder, and I think he will be this year. So the breakout star for me will be Sammy Braybrooke because he's gonna be the central ⁓ midfield star of this ⁓ Of the team this year. ⁓ around him, I've I've got question marks over who will play alongside him. That'll become more clearer, not when we play Knotts County, but the team after the end of the transfer window. But the one player I think will be at the center of everything this season, right in the middle of the park, and will play virtually every game and will be a star. It will be Sammy Braybrook, and he will be a regular Leicester midfielder, not for this season, but for the next decade.
speaker-0: Big claim. ⁓ James, seeing as Pete has just put you on a chin pedestal there, why don't you go next?
speaker-2: I do want to clarify that I wasn't happy that I was right. Let's just put that out there. Well, it partly depends on whether he gets bought by Manchester United or not. But clearly, Louis Page is a very, very good footballer who, even at 18, is probably above league one level. I was just reading that he won EFL apprentice of the year last year. I don't really know what that means, but well done to him.
speaker-0: ⁓
speaker-2: So yeah, if he doesn't win, think I would probably agree with Pete on ⁓ Bray Buck. ⁓ He looks really good as well. And maybe, you know, Will Alves, who's kind of had little flashes that you go, okay, looks like a little bit of a player. If he gets five, 10 games in a row, gets a bit of confidence, he could be pretty good as well, I think, at this level.
speaker-0: Joe, breakout star, breakthrough star, young star of the season, whatever you want to call it, who you back in?
speaker-1: Yeah, ⁓ I like what both of those guys have said and I think it speaks to the strength ⁓ with that we've got with the with the youth, 'cause I was always gonna go for Jaden Joseph.
speaker-2: Please.
speaker-1: We all thought I sort of thought it would be a Luco this year. He's keeping him out for a start at the moment. He's gone off and had his his loan. I think it was Tramir. He's come back. He's he's in good shape. He looks he looks strong, quick. I really like the ⁓ the look of that right hand side actually with the with the youth, ⁓ with Sammy, with ⁓ Will Alves down all combining down that right hand side. ⁓ and yeah, for me breakout star, he's ⁓ You know, he's a name that I was slightly aware of, but not not much, you know. ⁓ and now I I've I'm be really looking forward to seeing him in the flesh. ⁓ playing playing down there. Yeah.
speaker-0: Interesting because there is a there's a piece on for foxate.news. Andy Moore wrote that ⁓ this week speaking to a a colleague of ours over at Trammere who ⁓ I mean the headline of it is that Jaden Joseph changed games last season and I and I think he played a bit higher for for Trammere than than perhaps he is he's scheduled to do so for Leicester, given the fact that he's been given the number two shirt and he's started at right back ⁓ throughout preseason. But I'm exactly the same as you, Joe. I th I think him being given the number two shirt. And being given that starting birth ahead of a Luca, who was somebody that we were more aware of because he'd been in the Leicester squad while Joseph was out on loan is is an interesting one. So I I don't disagree with the fact that he might break out and that Louis Page, if he stays, will will absolutely have a key role to play for Leicester. But my one that I wrote down beforehand to to be Leicester's breakthrough star this season is Sammy Braybrook as well. Incredible. That he he his his appearance in the in the League Cup last weekend was his full debut, his first start for Leicester, four years, almost four years after his one and only previous Leicester appearance, which should just shows how long his name's been around. I know he's had injuries and and loan spells, etcetera, but he's it's almost surely now his time. Leicester dropping into League One Al although it's it's a negative on many fronts, is a positive in the sense that we get to talk about all of these young players who have come through the academy very recently, who will get game time this season and who can star for us rather than just sort of dipping in and out of less important games or coming into consideration when there's maybe injury troubles. So I I also think H Braybrook is a similar kind of footballer to to players like Chaplin and Cullen, who are both very experienced. know the way around the EFL. So if you're ever looking for for some sort
speaker-3: Well, I've got s slightly controversial with the th these two because you've got top goal scorer and then you've got most important player or the star player, etc. ⁓ and many might think it's the wrong way round with me, but my my top goal scorer is going to be Cullum. I think he's gonna be top scorer because I think he's gonna play every game, hopefully if he stays fit. He's gonna play an advanced role, number nine at times, if we don't have the other number nine playing. More on him s ⁓ shortly. But I I think what we got here is a guy who is Essentially quality. We've got a number of these in our side who are ⁓ just a better player than what you're gonna get with virtually every other player in League One. And I think it's a step down for him. I think he's gonna be given an awful lot of the ball. He's gonna have a lot of time, he's gonna have a fantastic pitch at the King Power. The one thing that we've won over the last two years is pitch of the year, etc. And I think he's gonna play an advanced role. We've saw on Saturday against Northampton, even though it's disallowed the quality that he has. And I just think at this level he's going to score plenty of goals. He's going to be, ⁓ I think he's going to play ⁓ a more of an advanced role. You never know. He might drop back slightly, but I think overall Cullen and I and I think ⁓ 33s as well, I he's a he's he's quite a big price as well if you go down that avenue. But ⁓ for me, I think he is Leicester's ⁓ top scorer. ⁓ I think there's gonna be lots of players who get double figures, but for me, he might just edge it.
speaker-0: Lots of players to get double figures. Go on d give us ⁓ how man how many less the players get into double figures next season, Pete?
speaker-3: ⁓ I think we will have ⁓ five.
speaker-0: James. ⁓
speaker-3: Might not have we might not have we might not have the thirty goals from one of them, twenty five to thirty goals. We might not have the Matty Fryat in League One, but I think we're gonna have a lot of goals from ⁓ or ten plus goals from five different players. Prediction number three.
speaker-0: Interesting. I like it. James, top goal scorer for you this season.
speaker-2: massively convinced by our forward line. mean, Cullen's record is not very good, although if he's been playing as a number 10, but still 38 goals in nearly 250 games, it's not very good. Yeah, it's difficult. I am gonna go with, I think, like Pete says, I think we're gonna have quite a few players who score 10 goals. So I'm gonna go with Mavadidi. I reckon he's going to get about 12 and that'll be our top. He'll be our top. That'll be our top. Goal scorer. That number anyway.
speaker-0: Maveridi ⁓ for James with about twelve goals. Joe, Joe shaking your head in disagreement or disbelief, or a bit of both.
speaker-1: This this is what I'm here for. I I this is the reason I've come on this pod is to hear James's absolute maverick claims and go, What what? Didn't see that coming and hopefully ⁓ well like yeah, like last year, I mean I I was on the same pod when when James said we'd get relegated, I couldn't believe my ears and yeah wow, maverick shout, love it, James.
speaker-0: Have a D D.
speaker-2: He's play every game though, isn't he? Most likely.
speaker-0: What? ⁓
speaker-1: I'm hoping he's not even here in the next like week. He's done. He's done. Yeah, that is
speaker-0: Do we
speaker-2: one of these predictions isn't it? Are they actually going to be at the club?
speaker-0: Can Rangers find enough Scottish banknotes down the back of the sofa to sign him? That's the question.
speaker-3: The team the team that starts, as I said, against Knotts County to the team that plays after the transfer window closes, I I think there's gonna be maybe six different players. So ⁓ there's a you know, we're we're predicting now for what we think is gonna happen against not Knotts County, but in that first period of time. It could look and I think it's gonna look a whole world of difference at the end of the transfer window. At least two first team loan signings will come in in the last few days of the window. But anyway, sorry, Joe.
speaker-1: yeah, I I mean I agree with that, Pete. ⁓ the the first match I'm gonna get to is ⁓ is Wigan and ⁓ it's a little way for us to come up, but ⁓ I thought Wigan at home we the team might have settled down by then, so there's half half a reason why I thought I would come a few few weeks into the season. ⁓ top scorer, I was tempted to try and be clever about it. I like the signing of Wes Burns. ⁓ I think he can get quite a few. ⁓ but nah, we just bought a new number nine. I'm having ⁓ Alan Biscuits. What's his name? Ad Adamir Brist Brist he I heard Bristrich. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm having him all day long. Big Bosnian bad boy. Let's have it. ⁓ he's gonna get us loads of goals. They're gonna hang him up for him all season long. He's gonna smash him in. ⁓ yeah, I'm not coming on a show when we just bought a a new number nine a day before and not saying that he's not gonna be scoring tons of goals. This is what it's all about. So yeah.
speaker-0: Bis.
speaker-1: Our biscuits for me.
speaker-0: I had exactly the same thoughts, Joe, when I was making my notes on on these four categories that we're predicting this evening. And I thought it's pro I totally agree with Pete and James that double figures are going to come from from across the team. And I I don't think there will be anywhere near, like Pete said, the the Matty Fryat of the the previous League One season that we had to endure. ⁓ so yeah, you have to you have to back him. Whether it's too much pressure because he's not played He's I mean, he's gonna he's gonna have a bit of a baptism of fire in English football, isn't he? I mean, come from Slovenian football, but ⁓ gotta back him, gotta back what you're calling him, biscuits, big Bosnian, bad boy, whatever you want to call him, Admir Bristrich, ⁓ top goal scorer, and and ⁓ Amit Chohan watching along is ⁓ of the same opinion, saying that Tommy Watson's gonna be incredible this season. Maybe we we put him in the breakout star because he's a young lad, even though he doesn't necessarily belong to Leicester. But an assist machine for Leicester's top scorer, Bristrich. So Amit Chohan agreeing with myself and Joe there in terms of the top goal scorer. So a couple of shouts for Bristrich, one for Liam Cullen, and one that we may need to delete in a couple of weeks' time when the window ends for Steffi Mavedini from James. We are about on halfway of this predictions podcast, ⁓ predictions show. Coming up soon, we are going to be discussing who we think the who we think Leicester's most important player of the season is going to be. Maybe you want to even make an early shout for this person being player of the season. We'll also look at where Leicester City are going to finish in the league and maybe even go on further and have a look at how many points they're going to get. Before we do press on, though, a reminder that for foxate.news, our website, the home of in-depth independent Leicester City coverage, is currently free for an entire month if you use
speaker-3: Well, I I said yesterday when we were talking, ⁓ myself and Dave on the podcast, when we were talking ⁓ all things ⁓ new signings and I I mentioned about Tommy Watson and I said about him he could be the difference between Leicester winning league and not, because if he hits the ground running and plays, he's he's basically a he's not a cheat code, but you get what I mean. He should be playing I'm surprised w what was the quote I said, I'm surprised he signed for us. He should have been going on loan to a Hull or a Coventry or maybe top end championship like West Ham. He's dropped down to the the league one. That's ridiculous. So he could be that player. But interestingly, I'm gonna go for Admir Bridich. I'm gonna go for the Bosnian bad boy. Mainly because I'm gonna give him half a season to get up to speed, to get up to running. I think everyone should. Okay, this is a guy coming from Slovenian football. I think he should be given time to settle in, etc. etc. Okay. If he doesn't hit the ground running, don't worry. But we are in league one, he's gonna get an Absolute ton of chances. If he does hit the ground running, we win the league. There's no two ways about it because we've got a settled number nine who's going to score 20 plus goals. And also that means that everyone else can play in their unusual positions and not worry about the number nine. We don't have to worry about that position. We don't have to play a cull-in in that position. We don't have to play a chaplain further forward, Words Burns in the center. If he actually really hits the ground running and be the less than number nine that we all hope he is. He's the most important player because he makes everyone else play in their usual positions. Watson on one side, Burns in the other, Cullen just in behind, along with Chaplin running around everywhere. And then the defense can sit back and go, This is fine, and we walk the league. So technically he's the most important player. But if he doesn't hit the
speaker-0: It's interesting point there from from Pete as he as he disappears to go commentate on ⁓ on dogs and horses. ⁓ that that the reason we decided that this category should be named most important player rather than necessarily player of the season or or anything like that is because you know some players do jobs or make contributions that don't necessarily grab the headlines, don't necessarily make them stand out as somebody that the fans or the players themselves would vote for in the end of season awards. But if Bristrich ⁓ it does get up to speed and and can hold that position, even if he doesn't contribute to becoming top goal scorer, even if you know he fluffs his lines a few times, what he does do is is allows everybody else around him to to do their job. So I I I do see where Pete's coming from there. I don't always, to be perfectly honest, but on this occasion I will I will back him up. Tony's watching along. Evening, Tony. Tony's saying Connor Chaplin is a class actor. Tony's backing Connor Chaplin to stand out as one of the most important players for Leicester this season. James, we'll move on to you. Who do you think's gonna be most important player for Leicester this season? I'm torn between
speaker-2: Oliver Skip and Aluko. I think the issue with Aluko is obviously he might be gone to Italy, back to Italy. I don't think there's that many people in for Skip. I don't think there's been that many rumours about him. Yeah, I think we have a lot of young players. We have a lot of unproven players. I get the excitement around Breszczyk, Biscuitz. I'm not sure calling him the Bosnian bad boy slightly for those who know the history is a bit uncomfortable. But I mean, he's only scored 21 goals in 117 games. So it's a big jump for him to be now scoring 20 goals at the third tier of English football, which is going to be a much higher level than Slovenia. But you never know, he's still only 23. I think obviously Russell Martin is absolutely an ideal arc when it comes to how he wants to play football, possession, dominating the ball, and Skip is ultimately going to be our pivot, knitting it together if it works out. I think if Martin's type of football is going to be successful, then I think Skip has to have a really, really good season.
speaker-0: Yeah, 100% agree. The system does rely on balls going into his feet in dangerous areas all the time. So if he's on the money and he stays with us, then yeah, absolutely. If he if he does his job, and and a lot of the time he's the unsung guy that does that job, but if he does that job, he could absolutely be very, very important to this system. Joe, most important player this season. ⁓
speaker-1: ⁓ sorry, James, you said a Luco and then you said he's gotta go he might go back to Italy. You didn't mean a coli, did you?
speaker-2: That's who I did mean. Yes, that is what I did mean. Yeah.
speaker-1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I did wonder. I well yeah, but ⁓ yeah, I d I I think I disagree on those ones. I I actually went for Braybrook ⁓ because of the reasons both you guys said, ⁓ both ⁓ James and Pete on ⁓ on the breakout. I just yeah, you could call him a breakout star. I I sort of assumed that he had made a couple more appearances than just a debut. ⁓ Feels like he has, but yeah, the injury and everything he's just been around a while. But I just think he looked to cut above already. and I think he's just gonna be a real midfield maestro for us. Probably for the reasons that you've just said about skip. I think Brayberg's gonna do it really for us. And ⁓ yeah, like I said already, linking up on the on the right a little bit. ⁓ being that dynamic midfield player. And I think he's, yeah, you know, if if the front line sort of gets going, he's gonna be a main man along with them and he's ⁓ gonna be that link. So ⁓ I'm you know, I'm really behind what Pete said, you know, hopefully he's gonna be a top Leicester player for years to come. ⁓ and I just think this is gonna be the season where where we all really think that and we sort of say I was there for that league one season when he was just unbelievable for us. You know, fingers crossed he can have that sort of season. So yeah, Sammy Braybrook for me. I'm elevating him ab above breakthrough into most important guy.
speaker-0: Yeah, he's gone he's gone there absolutely top. He has, yeah. ⁓ and I think f from my point of view, it's really exciting to see midfield players who are willing to turn and drive forward with the ball. We haven't really seen anybody with with a forward thinking brain pretty much since Yuri Tielemans in in the in the s in the dead centre of midfield. And now you're talking about Braybrook, Chaplin and Cullen all playing in those kind of areas. Page as well. They tried to do it at last season, but you know, he was in a team that that was frightened to go forward, wasn't he? So yeah, a lot of advanced midfielders who who want to play forward. Let's have a look at what other people are saying. ⁓ five cask, evening to you. Thanks for joining us. Saying Braybrook is a great shout. I think he should be a big part of why Bristrich will score lots of goals.
speaker-1: Rob, can I give a shout out? That's my boy there.
speaker-0: ⁓ of course that's that's why he's agreeing with you.
speaker-1: He's just watching down he's watching downstairs in the kitchen. Nice.
speaker-0: Not like you've forced an opinion down him there. Good. I like that. Yeah. Agreed. Agreed. Yeah, plenty of assists for Bristrich as well. I think I feel like we've got a lot of people that will put him into lots of good positions. Absolutely agree. advisor watching from the USA. Thank you very much. ⁓ great YouTube thumbnail as well there. ⁓ saying possibly Will Alvez for most important player, but cannot argue with Braybrook. Will Alves did come up in the conversation at the beginning of the show where we talked about who we think the breakout star might be. Didn't necessarily get named by one of us, but as the breakout star, but definitely on on the short list, if you like. And Andy Moore, ⁓ editor of forfox sake.news, say most important for will be Chaplin, think he may be the skipper if Suter goes. I've got to say, Andy, ⁓ it's like you read my mind because Chaplin is the man on my list as well. Just looking at his stats before we came on air. 29 goals in all competitions the last time he played in League One in the 2022, 23 season for Ipswich. ⁓ and if he can contribute that from midfield. And what I've also what I like about him and what I've seen of him in the past is he's not just a sort of lightweight luxury attacking midfielder. He he registers numbers like that, but he's very busy as well, very willing to work off the ball. You don't qu you don't often get Both. You you quite often will get a workhorse in midfield and then somebody else who gets the headlines, somebody else who gets the numbers, where Chaplin looks like the kind of player, certainly at League One level, that can contribute both of those. So ⁓ four different names from ⁓ from us for for the most important player. Pete's gone with Admir Bristrich, ⁓ James has gone with Oliver Skip, Joe's gone with Sammy Braybrook, and I've gone with Connor Chaplin. last category coming up. So if you are watching along live, please do get yourself involved with this. Where do we think Leicester City are
speaker-2: don't think we're going to, if I was to put a bet on as to like a specific position, I would say eight is my prediction as to where we're going to finish. With a possibility of sneaking into the playoffs. ⁓ I don't, I don't think we're going to win the league and I certainly don't think we're going to smash the league. ⁓ I hope we do, but I am not convinced that the club has moved forward enough that the downward trajectory that we've been on for the last four years has been averted. Now, do I think we're going to get relegated again? There's definitely a dark part of my psyche, you know, that probably needs more therapy that thinks that we're going to get relegated. But no, I do think that we might be in League One for two or three seasons is kind of how I'm feeling about it.
speaker-0: Okay, for those of you that missed ⁓ the ⁓ beginning of the show, ⁓ in last season's predictions podcast, James actually predicted that that Leicester would get relegated, and that came true. And now he's saying eighth place, maybe sneak the playoffs, but be stuck in League One for a couple of seasons. And there's even a tiny part of Mystic James that reckons Leicester could suffer three consecutive relegations. Very interesting. Joe, are we a bit more optimistic?
speaker-1: Yeah, I know I was a little bit more prepared for it this time round. So I I haven't just fallen off my seat quite in the way I did last season. ⁓ but fair shout, James. ⁓ no I I I think we're gonna be top. I think we're gonna piss it. HMS pissed the league. Let's have it. what I do think is that it may well be quite a similar season to what we saw under Moresca. ⁓ If I'm being picky, yeah, I got a bit bored of the football. ⁓ I do think football is about entertainment. ⁓ but after the last couple of seasons we've had, I'll take winning in any way, shape, or form. ⁓ and I just like the look of us through pre-season from what I've seen on paper, the recruitment's been quite good. if we can if we can get ⁓ Bristrich ⁓ firing And I'm hoping for a kind of big, big announcement on the first game of the season where he smashes one in with his head or whatever and away we go. ⁓ but yeah, I you know, I I'm I'm one of these people. I'm gonna predict that we're gonna win the league every season. ⁓ that's always gonna be my prediction, apart from when I probably should have gone down the betting drop in that magic season. I d I'm not a betting man, unfortunately. But apart from that, yeah, yeah. ⁓ we're first, yeah, of course. ⁓ we're gonna pass him a death. It's gonna be boring and we're gonna win 3 0 and and you're gonna be sort of scratching your head, going, ⁓ I think that was fun. We won anyway, that's fine. Okay, cheers. On to the next one. ⁓ or I'm hoping for a Russell Martin, 'cause he went on a tremendous run at one point, didn't he, with Southampton where they were scoring a lot. So I'd happily take that as well. But yeah.
speaker-0: Yeah, we want ⁓ we want some entertainment along the way, don't we? Let's have a look at what other people are saying. Tony saying first ⁓ and a hundred points. Is that exactly Tony? Exactly a hundred points, finish with that. ⁓ Andy Moore saying I'm generally someone with misguided optimism, and I think we'll walk it, but as I said, often misguided. And then he's followed that up with over a hundred points and finishing first. So don't worry about the the fact that you might be misguided, Andy, just get stuck in. Absolutely. ⁓ advisor across from the US saying ⁓ we'll struggle a bit at first, but we should be in the hunt for promotion. Most likely top two, but definitely playoffs for sure. And goes on to say depth in the squad will be our weakest part and biggest concern for me. Interesting. Opinion might change in a few weeks by the end of the transfer window. There's likely to be a few more comings and goings ⁓ between then. ⁓ I will Yeah, I wanted to say first. I wanted to be like Joe. I wanted to be like Andy. I wanted to to believe that it's gonna be like that League One season from before, like the Moresca season in the championship. But something tells me there's gonna be a team that that does League One better than us this season. But I still can't in my heart can't turn down a a chance to predict automatic promotion. So I'm going for Leicester to finish second. Who that top of the table team is, I'm not totally sure yet because a lot of people thought it might be Wednesday with the ⁓ with the sort of new feeling of optimism with their new ownership, but they're not they're not looked fantastic during preseason. ⁓ there's some other decent teams in there.
speaker-2: That's a big jump as well to go from where they were last season. Just as a club in general, that's a massive shift. yeah, I would agree with that, that we might get caught out by the intensity of League One and how other clubs are kind of used to it, the kind of clubs that are always knocking about the promotion places. But I think if we get into the playoffs, we'll have had a good season.
speaker-0: Yeah, absolutely. And and we'll have had the season we need if we get promoted by the playoffs. Does not matter. ⁓ does not matter where we end up as long as we end up back in the championship. Pete Selby, who left us about ten minutes ago from the show to go and do some work, has commented that ⁓ Leicester City, the giant of league won to eclipse the rest of the league. How very topical, Pete Selby, given that the eclipse is allegedly happening now. Although I can't really see it out the window yet. So ⁓ we're Don't worry, guys, we're not taking you away from the eclipse there. ⁓ Pete also wanted me to make sure that he got these other points. I can't believe I have to now voice his ludicrous ideas. ⁓ McCarthy to be the regular goalkeeper, Leicester to score seven plus in a match this season, and the club to be sold before the first game in the championship next season.
speaker-1: I wanted to do that one as well. Yeah, I I was gonna say that one.
speaker-0: You're agreeing with Pete Selby, wow, honestly. James is predicting us to finish eighth you're agreeing with Pete Selby. This show's been an absolute farce, hasn't it?
speaker-1: It's all downhill.
speaker-0: It is right. Well, we'll wrap it up there. Those are our predictions for the season. I'll tell you what, we'll have a quick summary of them. So if you're just joining us right now, you'll get through it. We looked first at who we think the breakout or the breakthrough star will be this season. Sammy Braybrook got votes from myself and Pete. James said Louis Page, if he doesn't get his head turned by a Premier League club ⁓ this summer. And Joe has gone for Jaden Joseph. Top goal scorer. Joe and I backing the new ⁓ striker Bristrich to be top of the goal scoring charts. James has gone a little bit left field with this one and tipped Mavadidi to top the goal scoring charts. And Pete said Liam Cullen to top the goal scoring charts, but five players to reach double figures for Leicester this season. Then we looked at the most important player this season. Pete saying Bristrich, the number nine, the position we've been missing ⁓ for well, since Vardy left, let's be perfectly honest. ⁓ James saying skip at the base of that midfield, keeping that ball moving under Martin's style. Joe elevated Braybrooke from the two votes that he got for the breakthrough star to actually be the most important player this season. And his son Cass agrees with him. So you know he's got two votes there, double the backing. ⁓ and I picked out Connor Chaplin, and so did Andy Moore for Fox sake in the comments, as well as the as the star. And then the finishing positions. Pete and Joe have gone for top. I've gone for second, and James has gone for eighth, but maybe sneak the playoffs. We'll see. Well, we'll we'll have a look back at this at the end of the season and see if any of our predictions actually land anywhere near the mark. Hopefully some of them do. Hopefully it's not yours this time, James. Let's be perfectly honest. No offense whatsoever.
speaker-2: And hopefully not all of the plays that we've spoken about will get sold in the next 10 days.
speaker-0: Yeah, well, I mean, this show's good right now while it's live. But if you're listening back to this at the end of the transfer window, then yeah, just ignore it completely. Right, we've got two more shows coming up in the countdown to the league one season this week. Join me live tomorrow evening for the preview, the first preview of the league season, Leicester versus Knotts County. And then on Friday, all three of the directors of for Fox8.news, myself, Pete Selby and Andy Moore, will be getting together on a live show to yes discuss what's going on at Leicester but also to help you out with a little bit more about what's happening on our website. If you missed me over advertising it throughout the show, I'll tell you one more time before we close. ⁓ he's back. Look at the Pete, I'm wrapping up now we don't need you anymore. ⁓ it is right now if you use the appropriate code, which I'm about to put on your screen

Pete, ⁓ put I sent spoke all of the comments that you've put in. Have you got anything you want to add before we wrap up?
speaker-3: ⁓ no, I mean really when it comes to the ⁓ the offer there, free twenty twenty-six to join for fox eight dot news. A number of people joined after yesterday's ⁓ episode on this countdown to the season series. Tomorrow, of course, ⁓ I don't know you've been saying it's yourself ⁓ talking all things, the preview with ⁓ the knots county game I'll be there as well. And then on Friday on the eve of the season, ⁓ the three from for fox eight dot news myself is ⁓ Rob and ⁓ and also Andy, but a number of people joined for Fox8.news After the episode yesterday. First of all, they commented on how how easy it was to join and how simple it was to use the code, etc. But the the one thing, apart from when they were going around the site, etc., there were two things actually that stood out. One is that I got a lot of comments saying how easy it is to use on a mobile. What a great mobile site it is. So if you've got your phone in front of you, you can just do it on there. ⁓ that was the one real standout. ⁓ and the second one was a lot of people said how. They like the fact that the subscription is in their hands. So it's a month completely free. After that, we know it's a five or a month. But of course, it's in their hands. So ⁓ let's just say that that they've got something on that or they've got on holiday or whatever, and they just want to cancel it for a month. Of course, you can do and then resign up, etc. etc. It's in your hands. Okay. So ⁓ try it out. That's what it's for. That's what this ⁓ free month is for for you to try it out and then hopefully you can stick around and ⁓ and support what we're doing ⁓ with ⁓ independent in-depth coverage ⁓ from industry ⁓ football commentators like myself like yourself rob and ⁓ of course ⁓ the number one journalist ⁓ mr andy more with the the thickest black book in the world with all his contacts ⁓ and ⁓ yeah a nice little step back from the breaking news and you get the full story a couple of days after with some ⁓ again insight
speaker-0: Absolutely. Thank you very much, Pete. Thank you to everybody that's joined in live with us on the comments this evening. Thank you to Joe and James for your time and your crystal balls, shall we say. ⁓ that is it for For Fox Sakes season prediction show. We'll be back tomorrow evening, Thursday evening with the preview with myself, Pete, and John O, looking ahead to Leicester, Knotts County. We'll see you there.
