[0:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Oh, it's me out.
[0:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Patriot on city.
[0:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't do lines at the top of Patriot But this is a good movie For lying.
[0:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean This is what this is a good movie for lunch.
[0:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay But I don't do it.
[0:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So you're you're on so I'm not gonna do it right and I mean But you say that a lot and then sometimes you do do it, but I don't have to do it.
[0:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, but you're not doing it We're no no, all right Well, I guess that's the end of that bit
[0:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, what should we attend the burial?
[0:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, okay.
[0:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's dead, though.
[0:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I get it.
[0:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I wasn't doing a bit, so it maybe wasn't even alive.
[0:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, wasn't even alive.
[0:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wow.
[0:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This has gotten depressing.
[0:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We should have, yeah.
[0:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It deserves the...
[0:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, you know what, we don't do actually don't do segways.
[1:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you just did.
[1:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You just did.
[1:03] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, but you know what, let's take it back now.
[1:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We should have, it's time for the burial of my segway bit that is not the movie which we'll do in a sec.
[1:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Wow.
[1:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know, it was great.
[1:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It was like, I feel like it happened somewhat, you know, organically and then I don't know a
[1:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: people, you know, really loved it throughout the years, and some people hated it.
[1:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I think that was always the push and pull that kind of kept your army back to it.
[1:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I know some people might ask, well, how long do you think about these segues, people?
[1:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What are you talking about?
[1:44] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What is happening?
[1:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What is happening?
[1:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Wait, are we not, oh, sorry.
[1:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I was just doing, there was just a, because, you, I mean, there's a fairy tale.
[1:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's start the show.
[1:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Are you, no, no.
[1:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Well, no.
[1:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's just giving it a memorial.
[2:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Let's see.
[2:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, no.
[2:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You're legit.
[2:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, we don't even do that.
[2:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You can fuse.
[2:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're supposed to start.
[2:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We just start.
[2:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Right, but before we start, I was trying to say, no, there's no one to say we start, do we have to start?
[2:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[2:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, well, the Academy, we can do this just happen.
[2:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We can do this one.
[2:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I do think people want to hear our react quick reactions to, you know, what transpired.
[2:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I mean, the, you know, the first thing we got to talk about my wife, you know, you're a big jerk.
[2:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: To have joy for a person, you have never met.
[2:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, like, for a person, I have never met this man.
[3:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Never met him.
[3:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I mean, I guess I know his family, which is even weirder,
[3:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can't just casually say, I guess I know his family.
[3:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, you also said that while talking away from the mic.
[3:11] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, I'm saying, I'm like, I'm not an emphasis.
[3:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just casually saying.
[3:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm casual enough.
[3:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm casual enough with them that I can be like, congrats to the family.
[3:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, we need details.
[3:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How do you casually know?
[3:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, my goodness.
[3:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's family.
[3:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Bro, in 2020, I got hired to produce a YouTube
[3:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: special when everyone cared about black people.
[3:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Very wonderful special.
[3:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was produced by the special was called when everyone cared about black people or you're just.
[3:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I like it.
[3:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What's up?
[3:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, everyone.
[3:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was called.
[3:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it was called.
[3:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's such a good name for a doc.
[3:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What everyone cared about.
[3:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Thank you for.
[3:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just just just just 20, 20.
[3:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's just a couple weeks after.
[4:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Just 20, 20.
[4:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: George Floyd was, it was, it was called bear witness take action and it was produced by like Spring Hill and James, we talked about him before.
[4:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why am I forgetting this name?
[4:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: A very, he did, he did house party.
[4:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's a Reggie Hadland.
[4:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Reggie Hadland.
[4:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I remember when you did this, and you met Michael B. Jordan's family, because basically, I got pardoned.
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was the one in charge of they gave a bunch of social media people like a bunch of money.
[4:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like 30, I think 30 to 50 grand to do like a short or something.
[4:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's, you know, inspired by what was happening.
[4:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Spring Hill was in charge, and I was the
[4:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know the producer and charge of like talking to them.
[4:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it was one woman I spoke to for months.
[4:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm talking about like I spoke to this woman while grocery shopping, um, the day before things get in and I don't know the project ended.
[4:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And we had already followed each other on Instagram, but I don't look at people's pages like I just don't.
[4:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right, you just follow.
[4:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if it pops up, it pops up, yeah.
[5:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then one day, it's always not yet a hyphenated name.
[5:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then one day, I'm going to IG.
[5:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I see like Michael B. Jordan is the ambassador of Coach where he was.
[5:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I see like, you know, his sister, the wonderful, your middle of Jordan on there.
[5:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I was like, what the fuck she doing we're like Michael B. Jordan, like that's crazy.
[5:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then I'm looking at the name like,
[5:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I see her brother, and I see the brother Khalid who works at Mac, and I'm like, when the fuck is happening?
[5:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's just a bunch of family photos, bro.
[5:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was like, but I'd say it is seeing so many people like all over just going nuts from Michael B.
[5:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Even, I think I text out this.
[5:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I text break this.
[5:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, watching him win.
[5:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was like watching like a legit fan favorite like in just in the auditorium Like so much so to when he walked on that stage you saw my man look around and go Oh shit Like it was beautiful.
[5:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Beautiful.
[5:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[5:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I've been on a world when this this past weekend and so I have not been able to like sit down and watch anything yet But I've seen like a handful of clips and things and like I'm like excited like y'all know me
[6:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to like go back and just watch the whole ceremony and be a part of the anticipation and just wait watch the whole thing It's and and see it as if it happened in real time.
[6:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm I'm I'm like through I'm thrilled to to see everybody see see Ryan win for Which you call it
[6:37] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, you know, he's talking, he got it.
[6:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They got it.
[6:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We knew that was going to do it again.
[6:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We said we called it do it.
[6:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's like called it.
[6:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We just like they do that to black directors and it's like, What?
[6:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, he has an Oscar.
[6:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He is a wonderful script.
[6:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He has an Oscar.
[6:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not taking away from him.
[6:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just like, fuck man, this dude has went on a run.
[7:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, that's why people don't go on.
[7:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like legitimately, through every movie he has made, it's worth it.
[7:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's worth it.
[7:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he did his own original movie.
[7:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's crazy.
[7:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the thing is great, my last thing, great.
[7:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I swear to God.
[7:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I swear to God.
[7:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The last thing, we talked about this before.
[7:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They keep calling this fucking movie a blackbuster when one bow to another had double the budget.
[7:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Right, but I think budget or I think I think people think black buster in terms of because it's successful He made a good movie.
[7:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He made a good movie that people like well, also, I think it's also like Again, I don't know how one battle after the other has the budget that it does, but
[7:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: In terms of spectacle, I would say, sinners has a big, bigger, feels like a bigger spectacle, though.
[7:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: To be fair, one better after another is a clearly inaction film, and just because PTA directed, it doesn't make it any less so.
[8:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's also maybe the time of year that it came out.
[8:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: October versus April, but you're right, you are right.
[8:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They're both blackbusters.
[8:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: One just was more financially successful than the other one.
[8:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I will say I do think, you know, there are a lot of things, there are a lot of things go like, a lot of reasons why one battle after another, one over sinners, just in terms of how the Academy generally votes, and not the least of which is definitely Paul Thomas Anderson having been nominated a handful of times before and not winning before.
[8:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: First nomination though, arguably it should be at least at second one.
[8:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But you know, and with the idea being the problem, of course, is that people could have said the same thing about Spike Lee like early on with like do the right thing, but then guess what, they never give Spike Lee.
[9:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: an Oscar right so there's a little bit of that where you're like okay you're like well this is right in cougars first nomination like he'll win eventually and it's like well there's no guarantee that that will ever happen right um so who knows um
[9:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't know.
[9:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I mean, I mean, I just feel like the what the one difference even just thinking about like spike versus Orion coogler is the kinds of movies that that the two make and like
[9:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that I feel like the splashiness of Ryan's is gonna continue in a way that maybe he'll get more nominations, you know?
[9:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe?
[9:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, interesting because Spike Lee was doing the movies that
[9:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It was generally doing movies that like typically work it in kind, like should be it should have gotten a Academy of War nominations whereas Ryan Cougars more pop.
[10:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, sure.
[10:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Sure.
[10:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Sure.
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like thinking about the context of like the timing.
[10:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then.
[10:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, the timing in which those movies are coming out.
[10:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then the academy trends that are shifting slightly.
[10:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I mean?
[10:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and there is a shift.
[10:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There is a shift.
[10:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That may be, and only may be he'll get dominated again.
[10:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I think that's a, I agree, I do think he, I think what sucks about how the academy works is these three can we owe you one, like Paul Thomas Anderson should have had an Oscar two movies ago.
[10:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I mean, you're like, boogie nice, get.
[10:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So what he was 20 something.
[10:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Give it to him for fucking buggy nights like that was the best movie that year is like and I feel like we keep doing this thing What like because we owe somebody not we because they owe somebody something they end up screw somebody else over.
[11:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I look at Ryan Cooper and what he's done in 13 years.
[11:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: 13 years.
[11:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This man is accomplished something that like
[11:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: director's dream of bro, no weather is black, no weather is white, no weather is Asian like period and I'm looking at this movie and I don't think this is a perfect movie but I do think this movie on paper has less questions than one battle after another so much so that if you're one of those people who are very ready and you watch the interviews when people win the post award wins the fact that PT Anderson can't talk about or feels uncomfortable talking about the politics behind this movie the politics movies represents
[11:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: that's beyond a tailor of it all.
[11:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, the fact that he can't talk about that because it's what a hot button topic and you shouldn't have fucking made the movie, where you look at Ryan Kougler, this man not only made the movie, that is black, that played internationally.
[11:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, that's what they say we don't do.
[11:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I was saying?
[11:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, he did the thing.
[11:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He did the thing when a little of you came out from one of the biggest organizations, Loki, Trash in the movie, and it still was successful.
[12:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What else can you do, bro?
[12:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I think that's something that's so hard.
[12:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're about to go into a hundred years of the Oscars.
[12:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: A black person ain't when best director yet.
[12:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, no, just hasn't.
[12:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: John Singleton was 20, what, 26?
[12:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And boys in the hood came out.
[12:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: 26.
[12:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He lost.
[12:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He didn't, a movie that is literally- And then he did, he never got nominated again, right?
[12:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Bray.
[12:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Bray.
[12:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Bray, Bray, literally, I'm like, we're going to check, though.
[12:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're looking at movies that made it into the film reserve, okay, I'm being dead as and there's not to show it because I do like BTS, but I didn't also, you know, only one movie.
[12:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Which one do you think is going to go into the reserve?
[12:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I honestly think get a man to best direct a baby.
[12:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You think both of it.
[12:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think both of it.
[12:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't.
[12:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, that's how it's going to say to it does feel like a thing where I guess why do you love it now put how many yeah what I do right I like it
[13:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're just, you're mad at a very specific thing, which is fair, if you were to tell me about the movie, it's, it's the, it's the principle.
[13:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because I just don't know what else you can do.
[13:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I'm saying?
[13:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like at this point, like what else can you do?
[13:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, the hope is that he does, I also think the reality, Ryan Couglar's reality is like, is like, he'll get the Oscar for something where and everyone will be like, but this other thing, though.
[13:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's in like 50 60 something.
[13:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's all.
[13:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He'll get the IOU one and like, you know, it took, you know, like, I don't to be to be fair is a silly turn of phrase when talking about academy voters.
[14:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: However, it's the only one I can pull when I think about some of the trends.
[14:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: How long it took more than a score sazy when the best director, how long it even?
[14:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Even Steven Spielberg and, yeah, and like, I just like, the reality is like the best, the, this is true of the academy outside of race, but it is,
[14:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: compounded because they so rarely ever they there was like 767 years of the probably 70 rights or or I will say 65, 68 years of the Oscars where they would never have even thought of.
[14:44] \[SPEAKER_02\]: like a black director like that's not even a question where 100% not doing that you know what I mean so the fast majority of the time and then when they finally were like maybe it's like but we're also going to hold you to you.
[14:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: the same if not actually let's just read the reality is higher standards than white directors because you have to do a film that speaks to white people through a black lens because we won't let you direct our films.
[15:12] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You have to direct a film that's about your culture and your race but still somehow speaks to white people as well as being authentic to yourself.
[15:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We can't be the bad guy to do it that right.
[15:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's that's well, you I mean, you could have black you could have bad black people in your movie but you have to But you have to have a good black Hero protagonist that isn't that complicated and a white and and some you know some sentence of whiteness as well anyway it's it's a
[15:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: it's it's it's tough.
[15:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, it's one of those things that I think about it like this year it was no black woman nominated for best actors.
[15:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, that's true.
[16:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I and then we didn't get the and here's the thing I will say that I I find disappointing and this is controversial, I guess, but I don't care.
[16:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Tiana Taylor's character, that's come like made it so that people were like, oh, I guess we're not voting for her for best supporting actress.
[16:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think that performance wasn't credible and I hate that it's been so tainted by people's disdain for that character, which is a worthy conversation, but I think it sucks that like,
[16:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: usually when that kind of, when somebody like comes out blazing hot and then they take this dive, it's because like something else has been happening like, you know, like with Amelia Perez, it was like something like that.
[16:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: woman wound up, you know, they found all this racist tweets or whatever and all that stuff or like even with Timothy, like it's like people are like, I don't know about this guy, like it felt like with Tiana was just like the conversation about the movie and like PTA, you know, but like it was like this like friendly fire hit that the movie took and
[17:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Nothing at Jamie Madigan.
[17:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: She's great too and weapons is fun and I loved her performance and there were other performances.
[17:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like I think there were a lot of performances that were worthy of an Oscar or whatever, but like it kind of was like, oh, the Academy.
[17:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Historically has said, whatever, we are not ever, we're rarely, ever giving in a best actress to a woman who is not white.
[17:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So we'll give you guys your supporting actress.
[17:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And while that is obviously sucky, it does help people's careers, but now Tiana Taylor doesn't get that benefit because it was like this thing that happened, well, yeah, I mean, I think I went that to and I think you're right.
[18:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that conversation is really important and also it's like,
[18:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It ain't her fault that she had to sort of, like, it's not her fault.
[18:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, she had, like, again, like, which made me so, and like, so angry is that when this reporter asks Paul about, you know, the conversation dialogue around that character, when this was after that, that's good.
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so he's like, you know, we do that like whatever he just got his plate on to the whatever.
[18:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he goes, well, Ciana has been talking about this a lot.
[18:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, and you, I like, but that would be like one of the first words when he just put the Ernest back on her again.
[18:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's like, she didn't write it.
[18:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, this is a woman who wanted a good part and is a part where freaking Leo is like, like, why are you keeping Ernest?
[18:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[18:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[18:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's this weird thing that people like we have.
[18:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Because our her we've been so culturally trained to be like if you're not a part of this like identity group then you're not a lot of talk about this thing and then so when somebody gets asked a question they're like
[19:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, my a lot of talk about this, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
[19:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: even thinking about autumn winning as the first female and woman of color similar to photographer.
[19:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I look at that award and I go, this woman had to be perfect.
[19:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like she had to give the perfect speech.
[19:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I'm saying?
[19:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This, the substance pressure, I think when people are coloring, I look at her and some of the talk of her, of course we all, I mean clearly was beautiful.
[19:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I think about her speech and even in that speech, that speech was inclusive of everybody.
[20:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I'm saying?
[20:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was inclusive of like all women, sorry, but all women like like the fact that it wasn't just like a person the color not the fact that it was just a woman.
[20:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, even the shot bro is I remember I was like, where's where's the shot Orion?
[20:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then they cut back and he's running down with her kid.
[20:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, bro, get us.
[20:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sorry that man deserve that man deserve the best director.
[20:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sorry.
[20:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I will never let it go.
[20:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I will say it even when he does finally win one I would be like he deserved it for this Which you know hey that puts you up there with so many other people also one one last thing which is crazy and I
[20:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Guys, we all know I'm a K-pop Dima Hunter stand.
[20:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I am, is gold in my favorite song?
[20:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not even close.
[20:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But what's so interesting is that it's not, it's so many other songs.
[20:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Other songs.
[20:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I see.
[20:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So many other songs.
[20:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So many other songs.
[20:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Sorry, but I didn't recognize and I've had a lot of friends being like, oh, a shit and win it shit and win and I'm like, but it's the most popular song and you're like, does not a song it's just like a hook and like a like a verse and I didn't realize until seeing the standards performance and then seeing the K-pop deem of the performance how that song doesn't exist like golden is
[21:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: a minute and a half like that's not a song I was like like I was like that's it's pretty short I mean they it's also like split into two parts that's on right in the movie yes like yeah it's kind of like it comes back at the end it's memorable though
[21:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I just was like, man, and also I felt like the sinister performance.
[21:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it felt like they were doing too much movement.
[21:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I didn't get to see Misty.
[21:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, I felt like, why does the camera move in some who directed this?
[21:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The direction of the audio.
[21:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, but seriously, it was like a certain point.
[21:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just really bad.
[21:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I know it was hard, but like that should job.
[22:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I don't know, like the angles are really bad.
[22:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, they were cutaways where you could tell Conan was like, what the fuck?
[22:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, really at one point, he made a comment.
[22:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, Conan's confused by the cutaway.
[22:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, like, yeah, two cutaways he was like,
[22:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know where.
[22:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Well, they cut, well, one of them was they cut to him, they cut to him because they wanted him to move on and they cut somebody's speech short and they they literally shut down the lights and started lowering the mic and he wouldn't look at the camera and he was looking forward, but then he started laughing and then he was like, I have to address the fact that I'm laughing, but they still, but the cameras that kept on and it was so awkward and then finally,
[22:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's like, and then he, he still didn't really do anything.
[22:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's just waited and kept looking back over.
[22:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then they finally moved back to the people who were there who didn't move away.
[22:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They turned the lights back on and they opened their mics.
[22:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So they could finish their speech.
[22:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they didn't back.
[22:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Was that, was that Conan's idea like the show start?
[22:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the Conan said, we're not cutting anybody off.
[22:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is that what happened?
[22:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or, or where did the not cutting anybody off thing come from?
[23:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You would just tell he tried to have like a positive like like didn't he even address it like what did he say he wanted to have like a positive like yeah He didn't say there weren't any rules and I think he was like
[23:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what, I am going to go with this crowd and if the crowd feels like what they're doing is not cool then I'm gonna be like, it's not cool.
[23:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And the crowd was like, oh, you cut off these people's bikes and so he was like, great, yeah, I'll be with you, y'all.
[23:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I will say, there is a part of me that's like, yes, the show itself is really long and it's like people wanna stop watching but also like what else are people watching?
[23:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And it started at seven o'clock Eastern, freaking four o'clock Pacific time.
[23:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like we can all watch an extra 30 minutes.
[23:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like yeah, fine.
[23:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's fine.
[23:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And did I like zone out at times or of Lee, I left the party that I was at and came back home because I was tired of standing.
[24:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it's so funny.
[24:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wanted to come and I was like, I feel like that's going to be a lot of people.
[24:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was.
[24:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like so many people.
[24:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I saw like 90 something.
[24:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, oh, that's a lot.
[24:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[24:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was too many.
[24:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, the Bachelor especially played after Skylar's Veteran it was so weird.
[24:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It was so weird.
[24:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Anyway, anyway, that's not why any of you actually is probably the only reason you're listening to.
[24:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's not weird.
[24:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But, uh,
[24:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We do have a movie to review today.

[24:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's only number six, which still is great.
[24:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like when he was listing people, I was like, oh, he could remember.
[24:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then I was like, wait, no, that's all.
[24:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, there it is!
[24:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I literally, there was also a member.
[25:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But there was so funny.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Dude, I for real, like when he was like Hallie Berry, and then I was like, how can we only mention Hallie Berry?
[25:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then I was like, all right, cause she's the only woman who's one.
[25:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The best actress, I was like, I can't believe that this is reality.
[25:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It still doesn't feel real that my brain was like, It feels real to me.
[25:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He was like, I seriously, I was like, Dude, you stood on a lot more than that.
[25:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then I was like, oh, no, he's just listing the people who've won best actor or best actress.
[25:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's all of them.
[25:37] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's seven.

[25:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But six.
[25:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you're right.
