## Transcript

[0:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This is our first time, and probably our only time.
[0:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Right, like, we could talk about Jurassic.
[0:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, we didn't do falling kingdom or anything.
[0:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I wasn't like on OG, so.
[0:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[0:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't think so.
[0:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't think so.
[0:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[0:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So, it James, have you read the books?
[0:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[0:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[0:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[0:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So like,
[0:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I just wanted to start there real quick.
[0:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, we're not, we're this is a cold open, but I just wanted to get any information we can get from you about these books and like, whether or not.
[0:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Right.
[0:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Are the books messing us up?
[0:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The books are not messing us up.
[0:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The books are not messing us up.
[0:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The books are not messing us up.
[0:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The books are not messing us up.
[0:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The books are not messing us up.
[0:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So I think the first mess up is Spielberg.
[0:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So Spielberg's the first mess up.
[0:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[0:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: First mess up is their work use.
[1:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They're working on the, they're working on the first right now.
[1:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Well, here's what it is though.
[1:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We're working on the first Jurassic Park.
[1:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: and Spielberg's like, this is too good, Cretan.
[1:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You got to write another book.
[1:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[1:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That was the first one.
[1:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So it was only one book.
[1:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There was only one book and they were, they adapted the first, the second movie off of the man.
[1:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like he wasn't, it wasn't funny.
[1:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't think it would have been published yet.
[1:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: When you go back and look at the timing, I think the lost world book still came out before the movie came out.
[1:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But the music.
[1:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Right.
[1:38] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The idea for it came from and you can actually see the way that I just tell to people is that last scene where Lex is on the is on the computer, trying to figure stuff out.
[1:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That scene is a scene that influence the scene that's in the lost world book.
[1:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like there's this weird thing where
[1:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: a scene in the lost world book is influenced by a scene that cried in co-wrote in the movie and stuff like that so it's like it's so I think that was the first mess up and then there are scenes from the book that essentially exist in almost all the movies there's like little scenes from the first from the first Jurassic Park that there's still like when to be cool if this happened you know like we still never did that let's let's put that and did it you know so okay anyway
[2:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But the books are not messing up.
[2:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The books are great.
[2:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Books are great.
[2:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But wait, but you let.
[2:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay, but I was confused because you said the first I messed up with Spielberg telling Crite and two right another book.
[2:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But yes, the other books.
[2:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Well, so, and because, you know, it's like if we think that the issue is kind of like we keep making these things.
[2:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And we're not quite sure what this thing is and like, what is it, that started with the, it started immediately.
[2:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, it started right away.
[2:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's like the book came out and then they're like, please write another one.
[2:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He's like, I don't have another one.
[3:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, why the Malcolm dies in, uh, Ian dies in the first book.
[3:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But Ian is integral to the story in a way that we'll just in the way that he's writing about it, that he was like, I guess I resurrect Ian, who did not die in the first movie.
[3:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Right.
[3:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, I guess I resurrect Ian and then Ian is still the, you know, and I guess it was a couple, but they like literally talk about Ian's funeral at the end of, I see.
[3:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: At the end of Jurassic Park.
[3:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But he's that man's dead, a Jeff Goldblum, Malcolm Goldblum.
[3:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh.
[3:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: There's this name that his name is Ian that whole time.
[3:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Ian Malcolm.
[3:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yes.
[3:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Ian Malcolm.
[3:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[3:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's funny because I actually was I was literally talking about how I do not remember character names, but that name I remember.
[3:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know, I mean, no, no, you know, brain.
[3:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We know the other dude.
[3:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The one with the hat and the foot.
[3:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know.
[3:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know.
[3:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Maybe.
[4:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Alan Gray.
[4:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You said you wait.
[4:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Hold on.
[4:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Hold on.
[4:03] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Are we know that one?
[4:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You said you knew it, but you actually didn't say it.
[4:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I didn't.
[4:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I didn't even want myself up to it.
[4:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what I'm saying?
[4:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You needed a Jurassic World rebirth.
[4:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well.
[4:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Very well done, Bray.
[4:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Very well done, Bray.
[4:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Was it?
[4:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Honestly?
[4:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Honestly?
[4:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[4:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Cheers to that.
[4:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What?
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know what I mean?
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Cause it's just like, no, Bray, you did it to me.
[4:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That was damn good.
[4:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That was just moved.
[4:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And honestly, there's no way to work it back in, you know?
[4:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's that something you can keep finding ways to say, because it's a whole, I hate, I always hate doing it for the ones where it's like, I have to say the colon.
[4:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, it's, it's, I wish I could just say the one thing.
[4:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know, yeah.
[4:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Wait, what's so interesting is, well, we're getting until we get it to it.
[4:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[4:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We'll enter into Jurassic World Rebirth.
[4:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, it just, I'm just saying that.
[4:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's, that's, that's not it.
[4:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Whatever you just do, that's it.
[4:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's,
[5:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Rewind, okay.
[5:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Give me a Jurassic World rebirth.
[5:05] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, no.
[5:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's start the show.
[5:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Welcome to black man can't jump in Hollywood.
[5:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: How's it going?
[5:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Listen, before we get started, I'm not going to be able to do this.
[5:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't feel comfortable doing it.
[5:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: My boat, it's just my boat.
[5:40] \[SPEAKER_03\]: My boat means a lot to me.
[5:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Sorry, I just can't do it because of my boat.
[5:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's the quote I decided to do.
[5:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[5:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Was that right before they double the money?
[5:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yes.
[5:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[5:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I thought you were going to do the other way where you're sorry.
[5:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I really, I really want to, but no, no, we already did it.
[5:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[6:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: My man was ready.
[6:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He came in right.
[6:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I'm sorry.
[6:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I would love to do it, but I don't know if I can.
[6:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Also, what work?
[6:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I got questions, man.
[6:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were mercenary.
[6:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They were mercenaries for higher.
[6:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They weren't because they were scared.
[6:12] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They were scared.
[6:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were scared.
[6:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:30] \[UNKNOWN\]: They were scared.
[6:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared.
[6:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were scared
[6:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But these were people you were paying to help do a crime.
[6:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were criminals.
[6:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, I mean, yeah, they were criminals.
[6:41] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Ultimately, they were criminals.
[6:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This is what they were.
[6:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were just where they were.
[6:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, right?
[6:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[6:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They are people you hired to do criminal activities.
[6:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anywho.
[6:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[6:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Before, okay, let me just
[6:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I bring.
[6:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Maybe we have some new listeners.
[7:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And honestly, if we do, thank you so much for being here.
[7:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, thank you.
[7:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We're welcome.
[7:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This is a black man can't jump at Hollywood.
[7:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[7:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But we are, we're a film review podcast.
[7:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We typically review the film films of leading black actors.
[7:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Sometimes we review films that have leading actors of color.
[7:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Sometimes we review films that maybe the leaves are white, but like, they're black people in it.
[7:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And we're like, we just want to do it.
[7:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[7:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[7:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[7:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Also, you know what, this movie, this movie got dinosaurs.
[7:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So it sure does.
[7:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know, yeah.
[7:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's a protected class.
[7:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They're bringing it back to women.
[7:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Some of you know, some made up.
[7:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: John, you're about that.
[7:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What's that?
[7:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They bring it back to women.
[7:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I did know.
[7:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They did bringing back the woolly man.
[7:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Remember how they brought back the dire wolves?
[7:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The next man and what they bring it back is the woolly man.
[7:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What do you, who's they?
[7:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The freaking, you know, they put back the dire wolves.
[7:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know that fucking, you know.
[7:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You heard a guy who was a black engine is basically an engine or a biocin or something.
[8:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, there's no, there's no, there's a company that put it back.
[8:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They both, there's a company, there's a two-dollar wolf.
[8:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But the dire wolf, they're not really the dire wolf.
[8:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They're there.
[8:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's another kind of wolf, but it's the dire wolf.
[8:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, they're calling it the dire wolf, but there's certain elements of the genome that don't quite match up.
[8:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So it's not the dire wolf, but it's the dire wolf.
[8:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's what it basically what they say.
[8:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So you're telling me we're doing, we are on the path of doing this messed up bull crap that's happening.
[8:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Oh yeah.
[8:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You're actually part tweeted at them.
[8:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like when it went down, they were like, are you sure this is a bright idea?
[8:37] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They had like a tweet or something that went out.
[8:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: All right.
[8:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: All right.
[8:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And that's what they should have done.
[8:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yes.
[8:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I hate that.
[8:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I hate learning that.
[8:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I hate learning.
[8:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Well, you just have to find out because it's been a while.
[8:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's been a while.
[8:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And the woolly mammoths, they've been talking about that for years.
[8:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I had to tell you, I had turned the news off for less time.
[8:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then I just started, I just started turning, tuning back in to figure out the messed up stuff that's happening.
[9:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And that didn't get through.
[9:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let me just, there's just too much other things going on.
[9:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, sure.
[9:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That one to appear through.
[9:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Good to know there's another time to draw a set it.
[9:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, I forgot to do that.
[9:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[9:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And now they're trying to bring back a woolly mammoth because, okay.
[9:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's what happened anyway.
[9:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[9:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Wow, okay, well, be.
[9:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Do your whole shit off.
[9:25] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Listen, the distinction is important.
[9:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: If the goal is in mortality.
[9:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: If the goal is in mortality, then it's the goal.
[9:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Is the extinction?
[9:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't think that's the goal.
[9:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think that should be the goal.
[9:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You don't think the goal is, you don't think the goal of bringing extinct creatures back to life is eventually immortality for some.
[9:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay, I didn't say that.
[9:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I'm saying the goal should not be immortality.
[9:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, I see.
[9:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What are we doing?
[9:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, the goal is certainly immortality.
[9:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, Lord.
[9:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: There are three of us who host this podcast as you could probably tell the voice that you're listening to now.
[10:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It sounds like someone who honestly doesn't want to be anywhere near dinosaurs.
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I'll watch them on television.
[10:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know what I mean?
[10:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: If you were like, there were real.
[10:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I'd be like, that's great.
[10:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let me see all on TV.
[10:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's cool, bro.
[10:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Um, I don't need to be anywhere near these things.
[10:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't care if you tell me they're, oh, they're safe.
[10:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're only planning.
[10:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: There's like, that thing's still big and can stop on me.
[10:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, yeah, if you know.
[10:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[10:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So that voice is Jonathan Prattlock.
[10:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Um, this voice is at a drop.
[10:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Milligan.
[10:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And this voice, who also wouldn't go, but would be deeply tempted is James the third.
[10:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: James, you own that playing bro.
[10:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's the thing about being only tannators that has also always bothered me.
[10:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That don't mean they're not, they're not gonna be not threatened by you.
[10:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That doesn't mean they're going to be not threatened by you or like one of attacking somebody.
[10:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Simply agree.
[10:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like they might just want to attack you.
[10:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They might just want to bite you because you close to the egg or whatever.
[11:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like right like I would not consider an elephant or a right not like an elephant and a right not serious are both very dangerous animals.
[11:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mess around with neither.
[11:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mess around with not trying to eat you but they might they can easily kill you.
[11:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Didn't big ask tusks.
[11:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, even a whole go first.
[11:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[11:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[11:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Daddy who we if you have, I mean, obviously, you know we're reviewing Jurassic World rebirth.
[11:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This is the fourth Jurassic World movie.
[11:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It is the seventh fifth if you count the short film.
[11:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They did that sort.
[11:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I will.
[11:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I do.
[11:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's a short film.
[11:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They in a movie.
[11:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I'm not counting a short film.
[11:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That was the first one with only with black leads.
[11:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's why that's why it's a short film.
[11:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's why it's a short film.
[11:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's why it's a short film.
[11:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's why it's a short film.
[11:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This is the seventh movie in the Jurassic Park franchise.
[11:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Now, I do think this is a weird that, well, every Jurassic Park movie has been a sequel, like a direct sequel from the movie before.
[12:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like they have, it's the same timeline, everything that happened in a previous Jurassic Park effects the next movie, almost to the point of, and at this movie,
[12:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, I guess we'll get into it, but I think it's Tyler Rebirth for a reason because they people wanted to honor the past, but also reset it a little bit.
[12:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What a clone at though.
[12:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We got clones in the world.
[12:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What's going on?
[12:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What a clone.
[12:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, and more I guess they were like, we're not going to tell about that right now.
[12:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, we're not going to talk about it.
[12:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And a part of the reset is the new new cast.
[12:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So no more Chris Pratt, no more Bryce Dallas Howard.
[12:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We got Scarlett Johansson, we got Marhursha Ali.
[12:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We also have Manuel Garcia, Garcia Russel, Rufel.
[12:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's go, Luna Blaze and David.
[12:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I'm gonna miss pronounce his last name.
[13:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know.
[13:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Wait, did you just kick over on, um, um, do you from wicket?
[13:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, Jonathan Bailey.
[13:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, I don't know, Bailey.
[13:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, but just, but brave typically starts with the people of color.
[13:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[13:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The sheer Sullivan, the sheer Sullivan in his movie speaks for his the whole time.
[13:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Hey, you know, American black man.
[13:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[13:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I do like Jonathan Bailey.
[13:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He was good for him.
[13:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then a rooper friend.
[13:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They've been three Jurassic Park movies.
[13:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Sorry, I know if they were in the same one.
[13:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: There's been three people in the world that have to clean my own society, right?
[13:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Actively, and I'm like, this is weird.
[13:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: This is weird.
[13:41] \[SPEAKER_04\]: By the way, speaking of, I saw, uh, I saw Justice at a party and I didn't talk to him at all.
[13:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't think, I don't, I'm pretty sure he didn't recognize me.
[13:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I obviously recognize him.
[13:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And I wanted to talk to him.
[13:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But then all I was thinking about was Jurassic Park.
[13:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And I was like, I don't want to talk to him about that.
[13:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He probably doesn't want to talk about that.
[14:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then I was like, everybody talked about it.
[14:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's a shame because I would genuinely want to have a conversation with somebody about Jurassic Park.
[14:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, outside of, it's like, yes, you are a famous person and you were in that.
[14:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But I just want to talk to you about it because I'm deeply interested in it.
[14:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I mean, it's not fair that you can't just be deeply interested in something.
[14:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Almost went up to, uh, somebody was like introduced me, but then I was, I didn't, anyway, okay, enough of that.
[14:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But he looked cool.
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He looked five.
[14:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, uh, what, what, what, what else do I usually do?
[14:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, I usually talk about, okay, here we go.
[14:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Uh, Rotten Tomatoes, what do you think?
[14:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's an, I've already seen it.
[14:40] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I didn't know the fresh, right?
[14:42] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's not fresh, right?
[14:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's not fresh.
[14:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Uh, fifty two percent.
[14:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And right, but it's the highest of the sequels outside of world.
[14:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think to address it, world is fresh.
[14:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, address it world is fresh.
[14:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Dominion.
[14:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, by the way, seventy two percent audience score.
[14:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That is wild to me, but I understand it.
[15:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think I understand it.
[15:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Wow.
[15:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think that's too high.
[15:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think it's too high.
[15:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Wow.
[15:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Jurassic World Dominion is twenty-nine percent in Rotten Tomatoes, but seventy-seven percent audience score.
[15:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So how about that?
[15:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So that only makes sense to me because I've talked to enough people who don't understand why I didn't like the movie, who at the very least were excited to see the OG folk come back.
[15:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think that's what I think that's the only reason.
[15:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[15:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, like, and that, like, it, like, works on people in a way that I'm surprised because I think that's one of the worst parts of the movie is at their back.
[15:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think one of the worst things that Jurassic World Dominion did was bring them back and spend all that time focusing on them and doing, like, weird homages to stuff.
[15:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was like, anyway.
[15:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And moving on to one, to one, to one.
[15:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You need it way more, to one.
[15:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, I'm gonna say it right now.
[16:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Falling King is forty seven percent.
[16:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, but and forty eight percent audience score.
[16:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So wait, as far as King, the one with the locus, that's the locus one.
[16:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, that's the minion dominions the one with the locus.
[16:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What happened to them?
[16:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Follow King is the one where they take them to the to the, um, take the island explodes.
[16:23] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They take them to a mansion.
[16:25] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And let me just quickly say, I have always thought that that basic format of taking like one or two animals back to an enclosed like lab and like having it be like a horror movie has it has been an idea that I have had in my head since I was in high school.
[16:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So I was excited to see that.
[16:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't think it was well done necessarily, but I thought that that was like that format was I was really excited to see it.
[16:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Can they make these movies like?
[16:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Even think it back to the original Jurassic Park.
[16:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I feel like that is like you would call Jurassic Park a family movie, right?
[17:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like this would be a yes.
[17:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's a TV.
[17:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's a TV.
[17:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Well, it's PG-Thirteenth.
[17:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Well, it's PG-Thirteenth.
[17:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, it's all the deaths.
[17:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But my thing about it is like, I feel like even thinking about that movie now.
[17:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I feel like they keep trying to add these horror elements where I ended the day.
[17:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: This is just like a popcorn.
[17:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Family for them.
[17:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's interesting because I, because when I talk to people about like the Jurassic Park movies getting scarier people go people always say that first one wasn't scary.
[17:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like people are surprised.
[17:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[17:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[17:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And they're surprised that I don't view that first one as being scary.
[17:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And it's probably because it traumatized me as a kid.
[17:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And so I only latched on to my home.
[17:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Latched on to like the fun adventures though.
[17:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But it's, you know, but and also like, you know, the focus on kids and stuff makes it
[17:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: is what takes it to family and stuff like that.
[17:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But I will say like the Jurassic Park like frightened being as a child.
[17:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And when you go back and watch that movie, like there are a lot of like genuinely scary parts, like especially if you get hit.
[18:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like the the first T rec scene is like, and then the raptor scenes are you're like holding your breath the whole time.
[18:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You're just like, oh my god.
[18:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And people don't know the movie.
[18:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So
[18:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[18:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This movie.
[18:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's a Jurassic Park movie.
[18:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So it's, it's two and well at the box office.
[18:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Currently, three hundred and eighteen million dollars worldwide.
[18:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's off of us.
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, he's seven million domestic, a hundred and seventy one million international.
[18:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Obviously, it had a big like.
[18:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's it's like opening numbers are kind of skewed because it opened on Wednesday.
[18:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: July's saying it opened on Tuesday.
[18:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Meaning the first paid performance.
[18:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, and actually the Tuesday night was at was legit midnight midnight screenings.
[18:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So it actually didn't open on Tuesday.
[18:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It opened on Wednesday, but
[18:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But as opposed to like the seven eight, you know, when they kind of started to you.
[19:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Right.
[19:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Right.
[19:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[19:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So Wednesday was it went thirty million twenty five twenty six thirty six twenty eight.
[19:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's the five day opening weekend.
[19:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So it's doing, it's doing pretty good.
[19:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It costs a hundred and eighty million to make, but it's doing well.
[19:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's doing better internationally than domestic, which usually means it's going to do pretty well.
[19:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's the thing they always bank on.
[19:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Gareth Edwards directed this.
[19:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yes.
[19:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Gareth Edwards people may know monsters.
[19:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He directed monsters.
[19:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yes, he does.
[19:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then Rick Star Wars, which I think is the best.
[19:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, we're going to.
[19:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, amazing.
[19:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And he also directed the creator, which did we, we must have been.
[19:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, we didn't or if we did, I wasn't there, but I wanted to see that.
[19:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's so crazy.
[19:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think it's because it, yeah, it was like a weird time.
[20:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And it was it on where we going to watch it on like Amazon or something.
[20:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, it was on one of those problems.
[20:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's funny that we didn't review that.
[20:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I was super excited about this Jurassic creative team.
[20:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like he was announced, David, Cap was announced and then like Scar Joe was announced like really early and I was like this movie will be good.
[20:27] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, I am looking forward to this to this dressing and the way that I have it, other ones.
[20:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Right.
[20:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It has a, it had good creators behind it though.
[20:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't know man, a lot of the Jurassic Park movies, I usually have somebody who you're like, oh yeah, like that person.
[20:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The last time I was this excited was Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic Park III is one of the lowest rated Jurassic movies.
[20:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But like the last time I was excited about the makeup of the team of people.
[21:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: like like because even the you know it's like grants back but I'm also was it I'm also excited about like William H. May C. Taley O'Neigh.
[21:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's wonderful like in in dress park three and then Alexander pain and and Joe Johnson directed you know they say oh this is a great group you know anyway.
[21:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[21:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's show you get into, is there anything else I need to say?
[21:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's it.
[21:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[21:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, basically, so the plot.
[21:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, there is a plot to be fair, at least.
[21:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: There's a man objective.
[21:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Essentially, a rack-tack team of criminals.
[21:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, a couple criminals, a scientist, and a, you know, facelift, not facelift, I guess there's a facelift, but they're all criminals, though, because they can.
[21:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're not supposed to be there.
[21:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Sorry, yeah, that's true.
[21:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So we get a, you know, a worker for a big corporation, you know, big evil corporation.
[22:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All of them are headed to an island where the remaining dinosaurs were alive exist and they're trying to get three DNA samples from these dinosaurs to help cure heart disease is the stated goal.
[22:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Meanwhile, a family
[22:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: a father, his two daughters.
[22:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Someone has a son.
[22:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This daughter's girlfriend.
[22:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, boyfriend, sorry.
[22:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They are sailing across the ocean and get trapped by a dinosaur and they also lay it on this island.
[22:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Why?
[22:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Why?
[22:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He said they do it all the time.
[22:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He said they do it all the time and they just happen to get hit by a dinosaur this time.
[22:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Bad luck, as he says.
[22:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And that's the movie.
[23:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[23:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Let me go last.
[23:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I feel like my half-to-go-last.
[23:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And this feel like it's important that I go last.
[23:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then I go first man.
[23:12] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I wanted to like this movie.
[23:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I did.
[23:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I didn't even, you know what it was?
[23:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: This is a movie that I didn't even dislike while watching it.
[23:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like, I saw it with Bray, saw it with another friend.
[23:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That friend got up and walked out.
[23:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He walked out so quickly.
[23:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, I turned to break and I was thoroughly perplexed because like the dial at this point was a little stunted.
[23:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like left the movie, like did not come back.
[23:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He left and I think he left.
[23:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I feel like he left basically before they really reached the island.
[23:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, didn't it?
[23:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It made his own.
[23:42] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He did.
[23:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's what I thought.
[23:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Were they on the boat though?
[23:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They did leave.
[23:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, they were on the boat.
[23:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, no, they were on the boat.
[23:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They were on the boat.
[23:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, no, they were on the boat, but the attack had like the main attack.
[23:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Did he leave when I think he left?
[23:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yes.
[23:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, during the back stories.
[24:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You're in the back story.
[24:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He left very shortly after that.
[24:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's exactly when you leave.
[24:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I turned to him and I said, this feels like it's written by AI.
[24:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then he was like, aha.
[24:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then like, maybe like a minute or two minutes later, I think he was like, I am out.
[24:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's when you leave.
[24:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That is when you leave.
[24:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: If you, if there's something that you're looking forward to in the movie, and then you get to that scene, and that happens, you leave.
[24:27] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's unfortunate.
[24:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: My thing is you need it a little bit of back.
[24:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think we could have just seen it.
[24:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So here's talk about it randomly.
[24:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, again, in the moment, I think even because that friend walked out, I was determined to not hate this movie.
[24:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But the more I thought about the movie as is as is.
[24:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: as we've been done watching it, then more and more I dislike it, but because I think there are certain things that just were unnecessary.
[24:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And again, money was, marketing was, I get it, I've texted the James, it's like me and Bray told them about it, it's like, hey, the mercenaries, cool.
[24:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You could have had a Jurassic Park movies, star mercenaries, great.
[25:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Or you could have a movie starring the family.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Great.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's Jurassic Park three.
[25:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't think you needed both.
[25:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay.
[25:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But then I thought about it.
[25:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like you can't kill this family.
[25:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Family guy kids.
[25:11] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You get kids to come watch this movie.
[25:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You can kill somebody's unnamed mercenary people.
[25:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Boom.
[25:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You got it.
[25:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like I get it.
[25:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think the idea of dinosaur mutants is great.
[25:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But in my mind is, why do we have that code open?
[25:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: If that dinosaur isn't stalking the people, the whole, like,
[25:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: is that if that mutant dinosaur that brain, I turned the brain, okay, when this movie started.
[25:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: when the dude dropped the brapper of the chocolate.
[25:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, my God.
[25:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I'm like a fart in the theater.
[25:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like I'm like this, they're not about to.
[25:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Wait, what is this?
[25:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Five destination.
[25:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So loudly.
[25:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I was like, you're not doing this because of a piece of bro.
[26:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Sure, sure.
[26:03] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Again, I do like my hercelin.
[26:05] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I thought a scholar Joe was really fun.
[26:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I like, I like Wicked.
[26:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know, the family, I'm here to miss about, um, I don't really like that.
[26:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Actually, actually, I actually, I don't like that family.
[26:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Um, I like the dad.
[26:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You don't like the family.
[26:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I like the, the actors are doing not like the, like how they're used in the movie.
[26:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I like the dad.
[26:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't like how the youngest daughter is used in any way, shape or form.
[26:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's fair.
[26:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I something about that was off putting to me, actually.
[26:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The guy,
[26:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, he got a lot of laughs and I think there's so cool.
[26:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, did he that's great cuz he yeah, we like to Yeah, bro.
[26:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, I was like he that do got laughs.
[26:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, we like we like there's a lot of times where he would did something funny and nobody laughed with it.
[26:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They I think he got he got the most laughs in the theater.
[26:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We will sure sure but but but but he got the most last but that's like he also
[27:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: you know, it's like, you know, it was like, you're like, and you're like, oh, they got twenty points.
[27:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's great.
[27:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then you look and they shot it like twenty five.
[27:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[27:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think there was a good Jurassic Park movie to be found.
[27:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think you could have you could have made it a little bit scary if you want it.
[27:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think
[27:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It tried to rehash old things.
[27:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think it tried to do a Jurassic World.
[27:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They tried to do the whole.
[27:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We're going to play this by the beats and pretend it opens with them saying dinosaurs are boring.
[27:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And that, oh, there's dinosaurs.
[27:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I couldn't wait to see in the world.
[27:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Hey, you're not about to cause our atmosphere kills them.
[27:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And there's like, so all you get to see the dinosaurs in the world?
[27:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, we were supposed to see that the last movie, Jura.
[27:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We were supposed to see that in Jurassic.
[27:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Right, it was three movies called Jurassic World.
[27:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I never got to see the dinosaurs in the world.
[27:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I get to this movie in this one dinosaur in the world.
[27:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And you know what he's doing?
[27:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's on the goddamn crate.
[27:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Is he dying?
[27:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, I don't see it dinosaur in the world.
[28:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Not a terrodactyl.
[28:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Then, okay, my last thing, my last thing.
[28:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Then you're gonna do these freaking terrodactyl Velociraptor hybrids.
[28:12] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then just redo the kitchen scene.
[28:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You just redent the kitchen scene.
[28:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I like that.
[28:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And you didn't do anything offensive when you redent the kitchen scene instead of having her like hide under the goddamn kitchen.
[28:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You had the girl hide in the in the in the and the thing what is that is like this was the dumbest shit.
[28:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then you're going to do a close-up of a call.
[28:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You're going to do a close-up.
[28:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You got things in the wings.
[28:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You got things with wings that can fly that can pick people off.
[28:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But no, what is your doing?
[28:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You put them in a space when they can't slap.
[28:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: James is whispering to us.
[28:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I hate it.
[28:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I hate it.
[28:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I hate it.
[28:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Guys.
[28:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[28:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Did I go?
[28:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Right.
[28:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Go ahead.
[29:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bring my friends down.
[29:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Oh, my God.
[29:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So first of all, I just got to say.
[29:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I just gonna say this right up the top and I understand writing screenplays is really hard.
[29:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I aspire to be able to get paid to write screenplays.
[29:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I have yet to do that.
[29:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We're trying, not for lack of trying, we're trying, but it has yet to happen.
[29:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And the person who, or one of the people who wrote this wrote the original Jurassic Park, they wrote
[29:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: the mission impossible and spider man and they have a lot of great right in credit so who might say anything.
[29:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But I will cause this with this podcast is about this is one of the worst groups I've ever it this is a trend is and it's like it
[29:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: the beginning, especially was so, so bad that I understand why my friend left, it's like you had to stomach through this like, you gotta set with us.
[30:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was just lazy, but you know, because I guess I'll say this, like, I understand like structurally you're like, well, technically it made sense and it's like, yeah, I guess like, kind of, but
[30:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was just so devoid of any creativity or imagination that I actually would have rather it make a little bit less sense and just take some swings and instead they were just like it felt like this movie was was desperately trying to
[30:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: be like, well, what's the, what was the magic from the first movie?
[30:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's try to force that into here, but like not really understand like, like not take any care in it, and especially not taking any care in like the characters.
[30:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And, and it's weird because it was like you had in this movie had it was like,
[30:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's a sequel, but they were rebooting it in a way because they were like, we're bringing in new people.
[30:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So it's like if you're bringing in new people and you're leaving the Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard behind, then like give us new people that we love that we want to see again, that we, you know, like, and I feel like
[31:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Mahersha Ali is an incredible actor.
[31:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Scarlet Johansson is like very, uh, magnanimous and, and she's been an incredible movies and like, she's able to carry herself and they're both very pretty people.
[31:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're very pretty people to look at.
[31:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Uh, and so they brought, they brought it.
[31:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I felt like they were bringing it, but like, man, they had so little to work with.
[31:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: There were some fun set pieces in this.
[31:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Ultimately, everybody still sees movies about dinosaurs because the dinosaurs are in them.
[31:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Terrarity mentioned this, I'll say it again.
[31:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This idea that they keep being like nobody wants to see dinosaurs, so we'll be creating these hybrids and that'll be the big bet.
[31:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I just don't understand it.
[32:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I really don't.
[32:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It feels like such a misguided attempt to
[32:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: make something better, even though we all want the original, I don't know, it's so weird.
[32:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So this new, this new hybrid dinosaur, I didn't like, I didn't like it.
[32:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I didn't like it.
[32:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: How do you look like?
[32:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He had a little arm.
[32:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It looked like it.
[32:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It looked to me like a rip off of the rank, ranker.
[32:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Is that what it's called from Return of the Jedi?
[32:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like it just looked like a rip off of that.
[32:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It looked like that on the poster.
[32:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I remember looking at the poster and being like, what the heck?
[32:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What is this?
[32:40] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I'm so glad I didn't see that poster clearly because had I, I would have been so upset.
[32:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, I was upset and that's why my, and so here's my thing.
[32:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I will say this.
[32:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think my bar for this movie was so low that I walked out of it being like, I guess it wasn't that bad.
[32:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But like any time we're going to talk about it, I'm like, oh, yeah, it was actually great.
[32:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think it looks like the cover of Cloverfield Monster.
[33:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, sure.
[33:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[33:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[33:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: All right.
[33:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The reason I wanted to go last is because I did have a good time.
[33:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I did have a good time.
[33:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think that the criticisms, both the art criticisms, I think are correct, are spot on in terms of like if we're trying to review a movie.
[33:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That that wanted to be a good movie.
[33:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Everything else is right.
[33:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I'm a die hard drives park fan.
[33:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There's Jurassic Park line on my wedding ring.
[33:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There's dinosaur bone on my wedding ring.
[33:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like it's in my blood.
[33:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There's only one Jurassic Park movie.
[33:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't like it's dominion.
[33:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was terrible.
[33:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I hated that movie.
[33:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I hated that movie.
[33:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So this so there was nothing this movie could do.
[33:42] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like I didn't think there was, I don't think there was a way this movie could ruin it.
[33:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I, one thousand percent feel like particularly when we got to the scene that that your friend walked out on.
[33:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I was really worried.
[33:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, I was already worried from the first trailer.
[33:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was a little lopsided.
[33:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Some of the lines felt like, like, especially the, like, forced jokes.
[34:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You saw the trailer?
[34:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I saw the first trailer, and then I didn't watch any more.
[34:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I thought, woo, this tone is gonna be weird.
[34:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then after the first scene, I leaned to cat and I go, the tone is still all over the place.
[34:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Then we get to that scene where they like, where they just walk through and explain everybody's backstory.
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I was like,
[34:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I get why they did it because I still feel like I don't know who Chris Pratt is and I only vaguely know who Bryce Dallas Howard is.
[34:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So they give us this scene where they just explain everyone's back stories, but like movies don't need to be like this.
[34:38] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like you can show us, you don't have to tell us like, you know, there are so many things they can do.
[34:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The reason that I did like the kitchen scene versus some of the other movies callbacks is this one to me, at least the way that it came about was
[34:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It kind of felt like they were like, they were kind of doing like, oh, mages versus like, hey, you remember all of the other Jurassic movies felt like they were like really throwing it in your face.
[35:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Whereas like this, to me, felt like it fell into the kitchen scene.
[35:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was like, oh, suddenly we're in the kitchen scene versus like, versus like the movie versus like the entire scene.
[35:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: being like, and now we're doing the chemistry and again, at least that was the vibe that I got and in watching it.
[35:25] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then there's a few things that are literally shot for shot, those those parts that you talked about.
[35:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But I did like it because it felt like it didn't feel as a grieges to me as some of the other stuff and some of the other movies.
[35:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I was on board with the thrills.
[35:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I really liked the acting.
[35:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And, you know, like they've been talking about hybrid dinosaurs as a diehard fan.
[35:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They've been talking about hybrid dinosaurs since the second one came out.
[35:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And so I've been very against them.
[35:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But, but now that we're doing them, I just sort of accept them now.
[35:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So like I don't have
[35:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like I've been talking to a lot of people and a lot of people are like, Oh, she's these hybrid dinosaurs.
[35:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I hate it.
[36:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I hate it.
[36:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I'm just at a point now where I guess I've already had that the funeral for the funeral for the regular dinosaurs already.
[36:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And so now I'm just like, I guess we watching this now.
[36:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So that's where I'm at.
[36:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Well, I'm excited to talk about it.
[36:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Be by beat, but
[36:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But yeah, but I thought, but it's one of the better dress.
[36:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's if not the best Jurassic world movie right now.
[36:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I rank it under Jurassic world just because that first one made really made me feel like a kid again when I saw it in theaters.
[36:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't know which movie is actually better.
[36:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I rewatch Jurassic World and I think Jurassic World is actually a better mood.
[36:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Jurassic World was such I think my expectations for Jurassic World were way obviously way higher than Jurassic World rebirth.
[36:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And so I remember being so mad at that movie when it came out.
[36:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But like going back and rewatching it, it's like
[36:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: to me it's like well Jurassic World is like one of the it's just like a stupid blackbuster where they're doing things but like ultimately it's like oh yeah like this is stuff that like fast in the furious does but like we all celebrated because we all go in like what was going on
[37:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Whoa, that's an appearance.
[37:12] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's kidding me.
[37:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Don't do this.
[37:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Go on on eleven.
[37:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Twenty years of twenty six years of greatness.
[37:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay.
[37:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay.
[37:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay.
[37:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: When the last time you see that man, jump a car off a freaking damn break.
[37:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Off a damn.
[37:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's out ran water.
[37:31] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He drove it down the Hoover Dam, didn't he?
[37:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You drive it down.
[37:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, anyway, that's why it's right.
[37:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, that's why it's okay.
[37:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The reason Jurassic World made so much money is because it did some of the same things that like some of the, a lot of the fast furious movies do.
[37:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What do um, which is yeah, it's just silly.
[37:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's just silliness.
[37:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And when you go back and you rewatch, when I rewatch it, I was like, okay, it actually is.
[37:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, like that movie was like a big dumb blockbuster popcorn movie in it, but it at least introduced anyway.
[38:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: A lot of the things that that movie does this movie doesn't really do and and the dialogue is a trotace in this movie.
[38:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It really is.
[38:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's like some of the worst dialogue.
[38:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's so forced fit.
[38:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think I think Bray to your point.
[38:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like I did watch Jurassic Park recently because I'm the first one.
[38:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The first one.
[38:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, Jurassic Park.
[38:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, it's because I'm thinking.
[38:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Come on, little, my little buddy also loves dinosaurs.
[38:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, so it's how it sounds.
[38:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I realize I do think I think the things these movies are missing are two things.
[38:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: man's man's less affuborous and the failures that come with that and then wonder.
[38:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And the thing is in this movie, I saw some people talk about it and like they articulated it probably better than that with, but when you see what one great and everyone sees the first, what is the tall down the solar James, the the brachia so are in the first
[38:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: When they first see them, the cigar drops, everything, it also, from a filmmaker standpoint, is we see those dinosaurs from their point of view.
[39:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We always are looking up to be like, oh my God, these are so majestic and so big and so wonderful.
[39:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: In this movie, they do that scene, but we never truly see the dinosaurs from their standpoint.
[39:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We just see a leg
[39:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: or we see a huge aerial shot of these things so you can't get the scale of them like you don't we also did the like
[39:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: they try to trick you into thinking, oh, it's a raptor, but then it's just the tail of the, what was that dinosaur called?
[39:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That was a habit.
[39:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Taitana, the Taitana story.
[39:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But also, my thing about it is they live in a world of dinosaurs.
[39:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So to me, the only one who truly would have that kind of one, I mean, again, I know it's still massive, but the person who would be that excited is wicked.
[39:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what I mean?
[39:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like he's a guy who's like, I've never seen it in the wild.
[39:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And they gave that scene.
[39:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They do him but do you mean do you mean that there weren't enough people to be and I don't think so I don't think I don't think anybody in this movie I think this movie told you dinosaurs weren't a big deal like characters in there like dinosaurs no one cares in the movie treated the dinosaurs like they weren't a big deal.
[40:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, and and and I'm mixed and I mixed on the way that that they're represented
[40:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: to because I fully agree with what you just said, like that's so real that they don't, that they don't even give us the time to appreciate them.
[40:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: on purpose, and on purpose, because I think a lot of the times, Garrett is like hiding the dinosaurs from us.
[40:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He's literally hiding them from us, because I don't know what it is.
[40:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Some of it is like for fear, like, oh, we don't get to see the full, like most of the sort.
[40:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We don't get to see the full, spin the source.
[40:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We don't get to see the full, you know, we're just seeing like a claw, we're just seeing a foot, we're just seeing a whatever.
[40:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I, and I really like some of that, but to your point, there isn't enough, oh my god, that's a dinosaur.
[41:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, it's like no time for any of that.
[41:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They don't give any any time for that.
[41:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And that's that's unfortunate.
[41:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They try.
[41:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Here's the thing is I feel like they really did, they tried to do it and they just failed at it.
[41:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But also that titan, titanosaurus scene like
[41:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I know he was trying to trick us into like being scared.
[41:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, I think I grew a break to pick up on a break.
[41:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Is that it doesn't make sense because they try to make that scary.
[41:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Also, my thing is, if you're going to pick three donos, wouldn't one of them be like a skit like a fucking we had to water one, but wouldn't like one of them be
[41:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, I think the quetzal is pretty scary.
[41:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think the, the, the, no, the, um, the, um, the, uh, Terraceur because I think it's pretty scary.
[41:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think they could have, I think we maybe could have interacted with it in a scarier way.
[41:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, the quetzal is the one in, um, it's the bird in the third, yeah, in the, in the third one, the third Jurassic World where they're like in the plane and the plane gets attacked by a giant.
[42:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: just a giant tears and like that scene I think in general is scarier than than the scene that we get with the with the quetzal in this in this one but that's a general problem with the with the movie is they have a movie I can't I can't pronounce the full name so I'm just saying part it's personal no wait James is that one is that the one in the third movie
[42:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: where they come out like it comes out of the shadows and some shit like if it flies up out of the cloud cover.
[42:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But does it one at one point like you're talking it.
[42:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, that's a Jurassic Park three.
[42:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, that's a chance.
[42:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: James, you're you mean Jurassic World Dominion.
[42:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Got it.
[42:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Got it.
[42:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: My fault.
[42:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Got it.
[42:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Got it.
[42:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Got it.
[42:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Got it.
[42:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[42:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Um, that's a tyrannidon in that one.
[42:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Um, but anyway, that was pretty- that is a scary animal, I think.
[43:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think it's actually pretty scary.
[43:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, they, they, they, they were like the the biggest land one, the biggest water one, the biggest air one, that that makes sense to me.
[43:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I, I had no problem with that.
[43:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I want to like, I want to, I want to, I want to, I want to, I want to, I want to, I want to, I want, I was expecting one of them to be like, um, in, uh, gone missing seconds where I was like, fuck, we gotta get to.
[43:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We got it.
[43:20] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[43:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And frankly, frankly, the, the, again, the quetzal is that one.
[43:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's, but what they end the way that they,
[43:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: the way that they got around it was they were like, well, we won't even try to get it because getting it would be impossible.
[43:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We'll get it's egg, you know?
[43:38] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But that is that one.
[43:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's the one that was supposed to be the one that you're talking about.
[43:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think I wanted it.
[43:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I guess they didn't treat it with like, like, for instance, if we broke, like, there's certain dolls I'm not walking past.
[43:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what I'm saying?
[43:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I felt like it didn't get that reference of like, hey, look,
[43:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I find no one had the weight of what they were about to do.
[43:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Correct.
[44:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[44:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So let's just, yeah.
[44:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's start from beginning.
[44:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Really quickly.
[44:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This movie does the same thing that Dominion does, which is like, through news is just like, here's what's happening.
[44:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, here's what's happening now.
[44:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[44:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All the dinosaurs are dying because they couldn't live in our climate, duh.
[44:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: In fact, actually, the movie Dominion made no sense because
[44:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: How would dinosaurs live in the coal?
[44:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They shouldn't have been running around the snow.
[44:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's the make any sense.
[44:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're trying like the climate back in the in those periods of time.
[44:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We're like super hot.
[44:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's hotter than the earth is now.
[44:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, even though the glory.
[44:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So all these dinosaurs are dying.
[44:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And now they only live near the equator and you're like, okay.
[44:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[44:41] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was very like rise of skywalker like the last movie is actually being no sense.
[44:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then you're like, all right, whatever, bro.
[44:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay, but fine, great.
[44:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So all the dinosaurs are dying in the now back in the islands that we know they used to only be just that's where they are.
[44:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But they still like have the remnants of having to deal with the other movies.
[45:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So we get the whatever it's not a broad of stories, but whatever that type of.
[45:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, it's like dinosaurs or something.
[45:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, that type of large dinosaur near the Brooklyn bridge, I think.
[45:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then we're introduced to Scarlet Johansson's character.
[45:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Don't really know much about her.
[45:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She likes to smile a lot.
[45:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We understand she extracts things she finds things and so basically her job is to go get these three DNA samples.
[45:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She doesn't want to do it because on her last job, she lost somebody we don't know how, but her teammate died.
[45:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So she doesn't want to do it and they go, we'll give you ten million dollars and she says that's a lot of zeros.
[45:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And that's supposed to be a joke because they bring that back later.
[45:41] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Did you tell them about this euros?
[45:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Not funny.
[45:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway.
[45:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So then the scientists is like, well, I've never actually seen these dinosaurs.
[45:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What?
[45:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No.
[45:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Scarlet your answer goes, don't you want to come?
[45:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, have you ever really seen these dinosaurs in person?
[45:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And when I say in person, I don't mean in a zoo or walking around a unnatural habitat.
[46:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean in its habitat.
[46:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And first of all, so I understand why this works, I guess.
[46:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But like,
[46:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Just her being like, I don't mean one just walking around the city and it's like, well, the dinosaur walking around the city is actually pretty freaking amazing.
[46:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I understand.
[46:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I understand what you're trying to say, but like also like a dinosaur walking around the city and you saw one, I wouldn't be like, it's not like I've never seen one.
[46:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's like, yes, I have.
[46:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I've seen one.
[46:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I saw one.
[46:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I saw one in the place, Jim the bin, but I definitely saw one.
[46:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's the only excuse they hadn't used yet, but it's very close to all of the excuses that have come before it to get the expert onto the island or wherever it is, they're trying to give it a do.
[46:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But they had to make the distinction of, and it's actual habitat because otherwise, otherwise there's nothing they even said.
[46:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, because they're like, no, well, dominion happens.
[46:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So actually,
[46:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I've seen every species of dinosaur on her.
[46:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I've seen them all.
[47:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So I'm okay.
[47:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Thank you.
[47:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So that one.
[47:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So he comes along great.
[47:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then obviously Scarla has her team part of that team is my hercialist his boat.
[47:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And they're all doing that.
[47:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're doing this.
[47:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The cure heart disease they say and it's just like.
[47:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Whatever.
[47:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Fine.
[47:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let's accept it.
[47:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We'll accept it.
[47:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Great.
[47:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So.
[47:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Meanwhile, we get this family.
[47:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This is where Geragot upset and understands it.
[47:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Does it make sense?
[47:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And it is one of the next things.
[47:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Does it not make sense?
[47:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The family is on the water, or does it not make sense?
[47:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I mean, the family is in the air.
[47:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It doesn't make sense.
[47:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It doesn't make sense.
[47:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The first thing says, first thing he says, why do you have your family out here?
[47:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like during dinosaur country, it's all here's the thing.
[47:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's tough because it's like,
[47:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We don't know anything about this family other than like his the mom like the mom's going to be.
[47:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we
[48:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And it's just like, okay, and like, obviously, I'm sure people do that, but it's hard because it's like, it makes me go like, well, that, this dad doesn't seem great.
[48:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then we have the, the introduced the boyfriend's character.
[48:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And the boyfriend to me was like, this dude's dick.
[48:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, he's, yeah.
[48:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He's just like a, he's so rude.
[48:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, so rude to the point of like, even when they were like redeeming him, I was like, I still don't really like this guy.
[48:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, like, and I also don't and because of him, I don't really like that daughter.
[48:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't either.
[48:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I kind of agree.
[48:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I kind of agree.
[48:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I kind of agree.
[48:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, from the jump, I'm like, here are three unlikable people in this family.
[48:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And one person I kind of like, which is the little girl.
[48:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And it's only because she's a little girl.
[48:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know what I mean?
[48:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We're just like a weird thing to do because with the kids in the first Jurassic Park, you care so much about them because
[49:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're like, what, there's his grandkids or his, or he, how was Richard out, but we're related to the grand grand grand grandkids.
[49:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The grandkids, right?
[49:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So it's like, his grandkids are coming to this thing.
[49:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And they're seeing the wonder and they're piled blind.
[49:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, it's like, they seem, and they'll be safe behind.
[49:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, exactly.
[49:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's safe.
[49:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And also, they established what I thought was so cool too, is that Grant does not like kids.
[49:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like I feel like we know off break.
[49:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He don't like his so when he gets to that guy damn island, they've established it's gonna be kids on his island and he gonna have to say these guy damn kids.
[49:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what I'm saying?
[49:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I know what I'm about this.
[49:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I know the growth that I'm gonna see when I watch this movie.
[49:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Literally, this family, I don't know what's up with the dad.
[49:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Does dad need to learn something?
[49:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know.
[49:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Does the dad need to get close to his kids?
[49:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Maybe he seems cool with the kids.
[49:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He's just a boyfriend.
[49:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[49:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Because the boyfriend is a dick.
[49:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what I mean?
[49:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So I'm like, okay, so the boyfriend to get that.
[49:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But then we get my herchelin who doesn't like the dad because the dad got him out here and why, which is all genuinely true is like, why do you have these kids going on this place and it's just you, bro?
[50:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Then the scars like you're not really mad at him.
[50:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Who the fuck is he mad at then?
[50:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Who is he mad at?
[50:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The family didn't bother me on this level that other y'all though.
[50:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You're in what you're saying and I and I I get it.
[50:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I guess that you're like already don't like like them.
[50:25] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The dad says one thing he goes he goes there are other boats on the water.
[50:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We make this trip all the time and I was like make this shivers time.
[50:34] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, certainly going to be people in a world with dinosaurs.
[50:38] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There are certainly going to be people who if they are used to doing a thing and almost especially if this is our last chance to do it because after this, I, where I'm divorced, and I won't see you anymore, you know, who are going to do something.
[50:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We're going to do something holy, like ridiculous, like it was stupid.
[50:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was very dumb.
[50:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, it's a death-wish type thing.
[51:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Here's the thing.
[51:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Ultimately, I don't care, but it just spoke to me the laziness of the script to
[51:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: First of all, when we cut to this family, it's, we just cut to them.
[51:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, we have, it's just like, oh, we don't know where we're going to be family.
[51:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Here's a random family has no connection to anything else you've seen so far.
[51:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And by the way, they're going to be some of our main characters.
[51:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And it's like, I,
[51:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We are a podcast that talks about leading actors of color and like it is cool that we finally are getting like like hey this is a family and it's not just a white family now right like we are used to white kids like in fact every movie every Jurassic Park movie except for two how to white kid and two how to
[51:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: had there was a black daughter and we never saw her mom so it's like, just, uh, you know, Ian Malcolm running around with his black daughter.
[52:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, so that was cool.
[52:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I liked I enjoyed that and I ultimately, I was like, I'm not going to care about this, but
[52:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: come on like I don't know.
[52:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I just it would make the movie so much better if we get invested into these people in a way that like makes us know and care about them more like.
[52:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't know, I just thought it was like a weird, it was a weird way to introduce it.
[52:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And also, like, thematically, I didn't really know, and maybe you took some things away from this movie, James, but like, I didn't feel like this movie had very strong themes.
[52:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, even... No, I don't think so.
[52:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The other ones, like, which I don't think are good, at least like had like an idea of what they were.
[52:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And like, this movie was like, weirdly was like, like, there was this like small thing about like,
[52:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: health care should be free for everybody but like they didn't really care about that and like it wasn't you know and then there was
[52:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't even know what, like, like what Mahershala and Scarlett were dealing with weren't really at play, you know?
[53:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, she's dealing with the death of a person we've never met.
[53:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We never see, we don't know how we died.
[53:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then it doesn't really play out for her.
[53:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then Mahershala is dealing with the death of a kid who we never met.
[53:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We never see, we don't know how he died.
[53:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And it just makes him more interested in saving this other thing.
[53:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You see a picture of the kid.
[53:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The picture of one time.
[53:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[53:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: How did he die?
[53:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Did they say I hate that?
[53:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I just missed it or no.
[53:31] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, they didn't.
[53:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They did not say how the kid died.
[53:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: See, this is another thing.
[53:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like, even though it's very simple, my hercialist actions in this movie to me make sense because of this child that we don't know how they died.
[53:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Because like his whole thing is like, go save the kids.
[53:44] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I do this.
[53:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Go say the kids.
[53:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Scarlet, she loses the friend and brave.
[53:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You and I spoke about this after the movie.
[53:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Everything she does in this movie is so
[53:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I guess you can see it as she's trying to say who she can, but there's so little remorse in her when people die.
[53:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That is like, do you feel bad?
[54:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Pretty.
[54:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I know.
[54:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's almost like less remorse than the average person.
[54:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: She gives a speech about why it's we need to keep moving and like these people are gone.
[54:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I was like,
[54:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What people die if fully rolls off her.
[54:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't even think that's propelling her at all, like wanting to keep everybody alive and not losing another person.
[54:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't think it's a part of her engine in the slide.
[54:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, and it made it be like, why did you introduce this other thing that doesn't factor because if anything, it should have been like
[54:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: see her get rattled and like freeze up and not know what to do and like realize like I don't know it just was like yeah it was only it was only there for the money thing which I think I was just telling y'all I was maybe telling another friend but like the money thing and the healthcare should be for all thing are connected right like she's like she's like I've lost everything and so now I just want I just want my money so that I can so that I can restart my life right and so like that's that's why they gave her that it had nothing to do with
[55:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: you know, how she was gonna experience deaths, but it was, it was trying to give her something so that we can then see when she's like, let's give it to everyone at the end.
[55:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, that's, that she has changed somehow, but I don't think there's nothing about the movie that shows, that shows that transformation.
[55:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, there's nothing that happens.
[55:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We just know her reasoning, you know?
[55:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There's also nothing in the movie.
[55:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, even though, this movie is like, I mean, this is such a classic example of like,
[55:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The thing they tell you not to do, which is just like, they're like, show, don't tell.
[55:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And this movie's like, no, we're just going to tell.
[55:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And like, we'll tell you what this character is like, but like, it does it like, oh, she's desperate for money, but or she really wants this money, but other than just they just make it so like, hey, wouldn't anybody want ten million dollars?
[55:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, wouldn't anybody do anything for ten million dollars?
[55:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And you're like,
[55:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I guess, but like, that's my good storytelling.
[55:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, if that even if you believe that's true, it's not good storytelling.
[56:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Tell me why this person, let me see why this person needs ten million dollars.
[56:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But the first time we meet Scott Johansson, she seems like she's
[56:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Good, bro.
[56:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's she looks.
[56:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, she appeared in that man's car.
[56:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: A pier in his car.
[56:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And what's who?
[56:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: How do you say you appear in somebody's car?
[56:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's doing fine.
[56:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She doesn't actually need the money, which is weird.
[56:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's just like so I don't even believe that she wasn't going to take this job to me.
[56:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I like if anything this movie is telling if anything this movie is showed me that this character.
[56:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: plays people so that she can get more money.
[56:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And it was just like to me, I was just like, that's just a negotiating tactic.
[56:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's just doing this because she's new.
[56:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's going to do it.
[56:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's in care.
[56:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's just this person who does things like this to get money.
[56:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay, but that's again, it's not like a very likable.
[56:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like all of these movies, like when the movies do something good, like they're creating these relationships and characters that we understand, like even like the loss, like let's say the loss world, the loss world,
[57:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Ian Malcolm Jeff Goldblum's character is getting a divorce.
[57:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He has his daughter with him, you know, and they're not getting a, they're not like quite getting a, it's just that like hairy relationship that a father has with a teenage daughter.
[57:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then it's like, she accidentally comes to this island that he knows as dangerous.
[57:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Doesn't want her to be like, we understand that dynamic.
[57:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, oh, that's super strong and clear.
[57:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The same thing with Jurassic Park III, hey,
[57:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Sorry, we tricked you into coming to an island.
[57:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You don't want to be at.
[57:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We said we were just going to fly overhead, but we're actually going to touch down and then an accident happens and now we're stuck on this island.
[57:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But the reason we did this is because our kid went missing and we want to fight the kid.
[57:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay, great.
[57:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like we get that way.
[57:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We're also divorced.
[57:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yes.
[57:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And we're also divorced.
[57:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, and it's like, okay.
[57:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then even Jurassic world, it's like, even though I don't think those two, I think one of the problems with that movie when I was rewatching and I was like, Oh, right.
[58:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think these kid actors are that good and like that's kind of a big problem with that movie like the brothers like that.
[58:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: should have been more touching than it was to me, I will say.
[58:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But at the same time, we get that.
[58:11] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The brothers, like they're having a little like thing.
[58:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They realize their parents are gonna get a divorce.
[58:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, like they hear that.
[58:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And like Bryce Dallas Howard is a distranged aunt who they never get to see.
[58:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And she then she realizes, oh my God, I've put so much time into my business, into this career blah blah blah.
[58:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I haven't been taking care of them.
[58:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I want to save them.
[58:34] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So we get all these things and then throw it away and fall in kingdom in a way that infuriates me, but anyway keep going.
[58:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Falling kingdom they throw it away and then they bring it back into median, but it's a clone.
[58:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't care about it.
[58:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know who boys in the first fourth.
[58:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's because their performances are I think that's why you're forgetting.
[58:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think it's like they're they're
[58:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No offense.
[58:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, I guess I am being offensive, but yeah.
[59:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The actors, performances are just not super compelling.
[59:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But how do people get movies like this?
[59:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: actually think the storyline is way more compelling than the acting and and then the the opposite is true for me for this movie the acting is way more compelling than the story the story line is not that like and yes we get the family and the thought here's a problem the whole fan the the reason the families here is because the father was just taking them on a trip and they just get randomly hit by
[59:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know a dinosaur which ultimately is like a week like when they when they talk about the open if you ever watch like blue planet or whatever like
[59:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The ocean is so huge even with a big like the blue whale or whatever a big predator like sharks or whatever it's just like the chances of you getting connecting with that animal you know at the right time or whatever is is pretty small so it's like okay but at the same time the reason they get on this island is because
[1:00:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They save them, but then they're like, we're going to this dangerous island.
[1:00:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's actually way more dangerous than what we just unbelievable.
[1:00:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I, the part that bothered me about about about the family and how forced it was to me is that once they picked them up, no one except the family is like, they should be docked somewhere.
[1:00:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, everyone, everyone on this mission is like, yep, we're gonna take them to the island.
[1:00:25] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, before they, before they get run onto the island,
[1:00:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That the idea is like, they're just gonna take them there.
[1:00:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And it just makes, it makes no sense to me in this, in this mission that like is as expensive as it is, you know, and as, and as you only get one shot as it is, it's like, yeah, you, you, you spend a couple hours to drop them off and then come back.
[1:00:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You don't, anyway, we're gonna say, no, you're, no, exactly right.
[1:00:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And the other thing is,
[1:00:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: There was no time clock on this.
[1:00:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's the other thing that I never understood.
[1:01:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're acting like, if they don't do this right now, they'll never get another opportunity.
[1:01:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But there's no explanation of why.
[1:01:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: These animals have been living here for years now.
[1:01:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You're going now.
[1:01:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What does a, what is a couple of hours costing you?
[1:01:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, it doesn't make any sense.
[1:01:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They're, they're not like, these animals are a good tie in three days.
[1:01:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, none of this makes any sense.
[1:01:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You don't even like, they eventually get the time clock of the like.
[1:01:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: of the, the rest of the, you know, but before that, the time clock is like, it's just like inconvenience, really.
[1:01:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: All of the other movies have always been the time, the time clock has been someone else.
[1:01:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, if we don't do it, someone else will and like, and that, and that literally the other person is actively doing it right now.
[1:01:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: you know, and so if you don't do it, yes, that's the time clock of this.
[1:01:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You don't do it right now.
[1:01:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And but is it?
[1:01:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Is do they say that there's something that I think he says it when before they go?
[1:02:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think he says we want to do this because if we don't somebody else, I think he says I think he does say that even still, but it's like it's like that someone is literally like like in the lost world book.
[1:02:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Biosen is there the other the other company is there trying to do the thing that they're there to try to stop them from to and it's like okay so that will at least put the that brings the ticking time clock into the movement that's cool it that's exactly I don't need to see this random ass family
[1:02:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Listen, you can have two teams competing for the thing.
[1:02:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And now they're like, it's just, didn't you have people to kill?
[1:02:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: If you can't kill everybody on Scarlet Don't have this team, you know what I mean?
[1:02:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's like, yeah, exactly.
[1:02:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That is just such a much better, because then then the Scarlet Pose of the question, which came out of left field of like, what should we do with it?
[1:02:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What would you do with it?
[1:02:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I would give it to everybody.
[1:03:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Nico, what?
[1:03:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Well, when was that sort of moral form?
[1:03:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You were helping these people the entire time and knowing what they were doing.
[1:03:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Now all of a sudden, you get all here like, I will give it everybody.
[1:03:11] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Everyone came on this trip to steal.
[1:03:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's also not how that works.
[1:03:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No.
[1:03:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, like, no truly.
[1:03:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I just like, I'm like, okay.
[1:03:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: like no it's a great idea but like you're acting as it like what does that even mean like practically what does that means because they now no longer even have the connection to the pharmaceutical company that they had in the first place because my man got eaten by the d-rex right like me so how are you gonna who you gonna give this to
[1:03:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What is this, the blood, you have to then, you have to then, you have to then find someone who is humanitarian enough that can also have the resources to create this drug that they can then also distribute to places and avoid
[1:04:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: you know big pharma the cartels that are big pharma like how do you do that in what how no truly how like it that's what I'm saying like it actually made no sense and the thing that was annoying about it was like it really had no bearing on the movie either anyway it was just like a random thing that they threw up in the air and it was just like I swear to god at this movie felt like it was like I would not be surprised if Garrett put some of this into AI and then was like okay and then like
[1:04:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, whatever.
[1:04:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, so the way that they crash is illogical and I had to be like, okay, we just accept this because it's really upset.
[1:04:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They knew they knew exactly.
[1:04:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They knew the dinosaurs.
[1:04:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They knew they knew they were coming.
[1:04:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Somehow some way this dinosaur sneaks up on them.
[1:04:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't know how that happens.
[1:04:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, like, or do you tell me this boat didn't have radar?
[1:05:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, what is going on?
[1:05:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, remember they were like, they saw a second thing on the radar.
[1:05:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And, but only a second thing, but the second thing wasn't a most sour.
[1:05:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was, I guess, the cluster of spinosaurs.
[1:05:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I was so confused by even what, by what this was and why the radar was, was showing what it was showing because it didn't seem to make sense.
[1:05:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And so, okay, and so this guy who introduces like this nerve
[1:05:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Dart thing is the worst shot in the world of whatever.
[1:05:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's a movie.
[1:05:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I get it.
[1:05:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He's the worst shot in the world.
[1:05:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He gets eaten.
[1:05:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was so anti-climactic.
[1:05:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I was like, wow, he didn't get, he literally didn't get one shot.
[1:05:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, he came in acting like a dude who is so badass.
[1:05:47] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And my man couldn't take out a single dinosaur.
[1:05:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And there were many dinosaurs.
[1:05:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yep.
[1:05:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then, were they getting chased?
[1:05:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So he's taking them into the shallows.
[1:05:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He keeps saying it won't follow them into the show, but he's so does.
[1:06:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It does.
[1:06:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It does.
[1:06:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And the spinosaurs are by pedal and amphibious.
[1:06:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And like, and Jonathan Bailey knows this.
[1:06:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And right.
[1:06:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And Mahershila keeps saying, they can't go in the show.
[1:06:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I truly kept expecting them to go into the show.
[1:06:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then us to see the spinosaurs just start walking.
[1:06:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: it was like, it felt like they said it so many times that it was like, oh, they're setting that up because this guy's clearly an idiot and doesn't know that they're gonna be able to do that.
[1:06:31] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But then, but then that doesn't even happen.
[1:06:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They just run a show.
[1:06:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: run a shore and don't get attacked.
[1:06:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: One just happens to be on the, like they don't get attacked by the ones that are in the water.
[1:06:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: One just happens to be on shore already.
[1:06:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I, I, this sequence made me so mad.
[1:06:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It made me so mad because there are so many other ways that could have been, that could have been exciting.
[1:06:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, it's fine.
[1:06:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's fine.
[1:06:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was all convenient.
[1:07:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: All this stuff was convenient for the, for the, for the plot.
[1:07:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, oh, also, can I just say, yeah, I'm gonna just say this.
[1:07:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That the, the uh, I don't even know what is this guy's name, the guy who works for the company, and I don't even know what the company is.
[1:07:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh yeah, I remember that guy.
[1:07:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The guy who works.
[1:07:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right, let me.
[1:07:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know the guy who works for the company.
[1:07:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[1:07:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: His name apparently was Martin.
[1:07:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[1:07:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Martin, he stops the older girl from calling and help because they're doing something illegal.
[1:07:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, right.
[1:07:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She's like, what are you doing?
[1:07:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Get off me.
[1:07:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She pushes him, then falls.
[1:07:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He's on the ground while these things are attacking.
[1:07:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then she falls in.
[1:07:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Was it that bad?
[1:07:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, I think he has to take it.
[1:07:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He has to take it.
[1:07:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He has to take it.
[1:07:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And he kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:52] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:07:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled a little bit.
[1:08:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He kind of smiled
[1:08:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Hey, he pushed her, but he helped her either.
[1:08:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He definitely pushed her.
[1:08:16] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He definitely did it.
[1:08:17] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He helped her either.
[1:08:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And she did say, she didn't say he pushed me, right?
[1:08:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: She kept saying he let me die.
[1:08:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: She kept saying like that.
[1:08:23] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, like she didn't.
[1:08:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: She's trying to kill her.
[1:08:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: She kept saying he's, he tried to kill me.
[1:08:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, he did.
[1:08:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He did.
[1:08:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He did.
[1:08:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's not one point.
[1:08:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I don't want you to try to kill him.
[1:08:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I one point, Scarlet goes, what happened?
[1:08:35] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And he's like, I don't know.
[1:08:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then he went, Scarlet was like, did you try to save her?
[1:08:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And I was like, now that doesn't.
[1:08:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, of course.
[1:08:41] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That was for us.
[1:08:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That was, they were like, we got to put this in the movie.
[1:08:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, there's no way that Scarlet would do to ask that question.
[1:08:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then she says, the if by some chance I find out that you did anything else.
[1:08:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Also, say he got scared.
[1:08:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He didn't.
[1:08:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He definitely let her fall.
[1:09:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No.
[1:09:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He could have got scared.
[1:09:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: He could have got scared.
[1:09:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Correct.
[1:09:03] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But he let her fall.
[1:09:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And that's what he should have said.
[1:09:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But no, he lied.
[1:09:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: He should have said he, he should have had him.
[1:09:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Why in a way that
[1:09:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, I just whatever.
[1:09:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay, so now they're all on the island.
[1:09:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: A person gets immediately eaten by one of the spinners or even though even though the doctor Bailey is yelling out, they are fimmiest.
[1:09:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We have to get out.
[1:09:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And they're trying to drag something that we don't even understand what it was.
[1:09:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was cool.
[1:09:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Wow.
[1:09:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was revealed though.
[1:09:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I like that.
[1:09:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That was one of those surprises.
[1:09:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Right.
[1:09:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I can't.
[1:09:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:09:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was cool.
[1:09:37] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:09:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And we and she like died behind the thing like.
[1:09:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:09:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:09:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:09:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: All that was cool.
[1:09:42] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Garth and Garth was doing this thing with stuff like that.
[1:09:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I really liked that.
[1:09:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So then they go in.
[1:09:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So then they go in for and then Scarly gives that weird speech of like
[1:09:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Here, this still matters to you and this still matters to you and that still matters to you.
[1:09:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So let's go do the thing we were we're paid here to do and you're like okay.
[1:10:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So they're going to go get their samples and they do.
[1:10:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't know, all of this stuff just, but at this point, here's the thing.
[1:10:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We understand the families trapped here.
[1:10:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: These people aren't, they're trapped because they're both got run ashore, but they're still, the dangers on this island are the exact dangers they were always going to face.
[1:10:23] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:10:25] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But they only had one gun.
[1:10:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I don't understand.
[1:10:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, they were all on the stuff.
[1:10:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They were on the floaty things, right?
[1:10:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's what's on the floaty thing.
[1:10:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, because they they say they're like, we don't have any weapons and and then Scarjo says the thing of like the weapons we're never going to work, which as evidence by when Ed was shooting the dudes, the right in missing the spines and missing and or hitting sometimes, but they were like they were like
[1:10:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It just they took them they had zero firepower that was absurd what they did anyway It was absurd So all the people who die on this island I which isn't that many I'm just like I'm kind of just like yeah, I mean y'all were always gonna die like this is a dumb plan like this is a weird like not the team to do this doesn't feel quite what anyway yeah Only one more person dies.
[1:11:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't know two more people die two more.
[1:11:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's the the big bad and then and
[1:11:19] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What's his name?
[1:11:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What's Bashir?
[1:11:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Is that his name?
[1:11:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Bashir Daja.
[1:11:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir.
[1:11:24] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:11:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:30] \[UNKNOWN\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:30] \[UNKNOWN\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:34] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:37] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:37] \[UNKNOWN\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:44] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:44] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir Daja.
[1:11:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Bashir
[1:11:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They, is he not French?
[1:11:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I ain't have a nuns.
[1:11:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's his Haitian, so.
[1:11:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, I like, again, I knew him very briefly, but he spoke English.
[1:11:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like, I mean, like, you know, he probably did.
[1:12:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:12:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So why was he French?
[1:12:02] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But even then, like, yeah, my thing is like, why did you have a character speak French?
[1:12:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Period.
[1:12:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like, what was it?
[1:12:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I don't know.
[1:12:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's cool character, you know, dad.
[1:12:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Even the doodle freaking, um,
[1:12:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The boys when he speaks French, he goes out of French and English because he's talking to different.
[1:12:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Right.
[1:12:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Right.
[1:12:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:12:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The fact that he didn't, it's strange, I guess.
[1:12:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's like, all right.
[1:12:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I'm thinking too much.
[1:12:28] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You know what, that's, you know, it's all me.
[1:12:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's, it's a somewhat blockbuster, baby.
[1:12:32] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It is, what am I doing thinking about like plot details and things of this nature?
[1:12:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I'm the crazy one, y'all.
[1:12:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It is me.
[1:12:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It is me.
[1:12:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Decrease.
[1:12:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I mean, I, yeah.
[1:12:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I mean, we're not there.
[1:12:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We're here.
[1:12:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Now the where on the island.
[1:12:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I guess, finally.
[1:12:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I'm not sure what the movie what if the movie was like.
[1:12:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't know.
[1:12:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was a little too dire.
[1:12:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There was a little too hopeless.
[1:12:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was a little too like I'm not going to believe.
[1:13:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: However, they get out of this.
[1:13:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't think I'm going to believe it.
[1:13:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was sort of how I felt once that boat was inoperable once they couldn't get back on the same boat they got on.
[1:13:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I was like, I don't think I'm going to believe.
[1:13:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: any way they get off the island and I ultimately don't believe how they how they escape like it like the movie like fast forwarding to the to the literal end they you know they the helicopters gone they don't have the helicopter but what they do have is a boat that is smaller than the boat that they had originally and that boat got attacked by the most or now maybe the most sort isn't going to see a boat of that size
[1:13:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: as a threat in the same way but whoops the it already did oh whoops it already did that's how the family got there yeah that's how the family got there so so what are we what are we talking about like like how are they going to how are they going to get hope they're all dead like what is this also how they're muting down the soil how come nobody hears it
[1:14:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You're coming here.
[1:14:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It made no sound.
[1:14:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It made no sound as it walked, but it moved heavy as it made for some cool imagery in the in the in the clouds like that was cool to see it in the smoke, but it made no sound.
[1:14:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Also, why didn't every dinosaur move so damn slow?
[1:14:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Every dinosaur, every dinosaur moved so slow.
[1:14:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The T-rex scene that they've been waiting to do since the first move.
[1:14:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The T-rex scene, they've been waiting to do.
[1:14:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What are they doing?
[1:14:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What are they doing?
[1:14:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The scene in the river.
[1:14:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, they've been that was a scene.
[1:14:31] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They storyboarded it in the first move.
[1:14:34] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And that was fun.
[1:14:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And the little girl being under the raft, that was fun.
[1:14:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:14:40] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The T-rex couldn't bite that raft.
[1:14:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: T-Rex just goes like, ah man, it's plastic.
[1:14:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's too gummy.
[1:14:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You see me in many movies chump through metal, right?
[1:14:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's a flavor.
[1:14:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It can't do that.
[1:14:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then it's like choosing to move.
[1:15:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I mean, I get it at a certain point.
[1:15:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The river is so deep that it can't stand up.
[1:15:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think, but I don't even know how true that is.
[1:15:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like I just, but then it starts to swim, doesn't it?
[1:15:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yes, it does start to swim and his move is slow as hell.
[1:15:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I just don't get why the whole movie, the dinosaurs are all moving so slow.
[1:15:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: As I was watching Dominion, I was like these dinosaurs are moving way too fast.
[1:15:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like they were moving.
[1:15:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, they actually were.
[1:15:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I was like, it doesn't and also their stamina.
[1:15:29] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I was like, do we ever, we never talk about the fact that like, I feel like because it wasn't this way in Jurassic Park.
[1:15:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It wasn't this way in the other movies, but in the fallen kingdom and dominion movies, the stamina of these raptors is insane.
[1:15:44] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's like they're running after cars, which can go.
[1:15:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: A hundred miles an hour.
[1:15:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And let's say because of the climate, they're only going sixty.
[1:15:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So these raptors, which I don't even think raptors can run that fast.
[1:15:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But like, these raptors are going like basically forty, let's say forty five miles an hour.
[1:16:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like forty five to six miles an hour, top speed.
[1:16:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Four.
[1:16:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I also usually getting hit like falling down the tapping back up and then running four speed again.
[1:16:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I was like, well, that's not real.
[1:16:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They do establish that they can run.
[1:16:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Sixty I think I think it's around sixty in the first movie, but but also it is that thing of like which I guess this movie is taking more into account than other movies that like they would need You know, they need ahead.
[1:16:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They need the the leg room to like get up to that speed and they have to let it's not like zero to sixty to like that whereas this movie was like all like
[1:16:41] \[SPEAKER_03\]: who, if I was out in the open, I'd be moving so much faster, right?
[1:16:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like it seemed like that was the inner monologue of every time I saw it in every attack.
[1:16:51] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Ooh, if I just had the wiggle room, ooh, I would be getting it.
[1:16:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But I can't all damn the river.
[1:16:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Oh, man, give me a second.
[1:17:00] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Listen, James.
[1:17:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Also, this is the thing that got me.
[1:17:03] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And Garth Edwards, I think, is really good at this.
[1:17:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So I was very shocked at,
[1:17:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The thing that I really don't like about how the dinosaurs are presented is this.
[1:17:14] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think he's really good at scale.
[1:17:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Like if you think about one of you guys remember, but in the first Godzilla, how Godzilla is real?
[1:17:23] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's like, is that the airport, you see his leg, then something else, and you see, you can see the size of him almost before he gets there.
[1:17:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: In this movie, dinosaurs felt like they changed sizes depending on what they, like the big mutant one.
[1:17:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: At one point,
[1:17:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I felt like he was massive.
[1:17:39] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Another point he is sneaking behind something like an ability.
[1:17:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I'm like, how big or how small then he has to be big enough to grab that helicopter before it gets, that is like, how big is this thing?
[1:17:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: When we get to the raster, the raster, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
[1:18:21] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I was so true.
[1:18:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You have no, and especially because these, and somebody was, someone afterwards had a comment about that when the T-Rex scene that literally from from shot to shot even, it looked different sizes.
[1:18:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But I think particularly with the hybrid ones, because there's no, we have no frame of reference for even what they are, that like it's even more confusing to see them.
[1:18:45] \[SPEAKER_03\]: to see their, to see their scale from shot to shot because we don't have a, we don't know what it is.
[1:18:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like we don't know what it looks like compared to anything else.
[1:18:53] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Also, I know it towards the end, but I have one big grief.
[1:18:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I gotta like, I gotta put out that.
[1:18:59] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I know everyone says that what's her name?
[1:19:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: James Shelley, what's the, what's the T-Rex name?
[1:19:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, she got a name.
[1:19:04] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What's the T-Rex name?
[1:19:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, she, like this.
[1:19:06] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Was it Rax?
[1:19:08] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Was it Rax?
[1:19:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, whatever.
[1:19:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: What do people call her?
[1:19:11] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, I thought she had like a name they gave.
[1:19:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I have heard like, Rax, I have heard like, Raxy.
[1:19:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Um, I've heard Mama Rax.
[1:19:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then they're my T-Rex.
[1:19:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: This one's not the same T-Rex.
[1:19:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, this one's not the same.
[1:19:23] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[1:19:23] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The other one had, the same T-Rex has the scar from the first movie.
[1:19:27] \[SPEAKER_03\]: This one was not yet.
[1:19:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: This was just some other T-Rex.
[1:19:30] \[SPEAKER_02\]: This, this is my thing that bothers me about this thing I've been like about this movie is they try to play my philosophy rafters like dang shit, okay?
[1:19:36] \[SPEAKER_02\]: They use them as a joke and I don't like that, okay?
[1:19:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: My man is taking the P.P.
[1:19:41] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay?
[1:19:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And why he's P.P.
[1:19:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's funny.
[1:19:43] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Big ass burger came down in light.
[1:19:47] \[SPEAKER_02\]: demolish them, not even on camera and I get it.
[1:19:50] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It was a cool sight gag, but you do that with one of those little bum-ass dinosaurs, okay?
[1:19:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You don't do that with a philosopher after.
[1:19:56] \[SPEAKER_02\]: We already pretended like they're bigger than they really are.
[1:19:58] \[SPEAKER_02\]: As I've seen the books, they smoke on his head.
[1:20:01] \[SPEAKER_02\]: You can kick them a little more for this.
[1:20:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Also, raptors have un-packs.
[1:20:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We established this many, many times throughout the world.
[1:20:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:20:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:20:07] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:20:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So a lone drop of us.
[1:20:09] \[SPEAKER_02\]: No, it was three.
[1:20:10] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It was three.
[1:20:11] \[SPEAKER_02\]: The bird messed up three of them.
[1:20:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:20:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay.
[1:20:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I saw two.
[1:20:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I was like, oh, maybe it was two.
[1:20:18] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I thought it was two.
[1:20:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:20:19] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I thought it was two.
[1:20:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They're definitely might have been three.
[1:20:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Because by the time the other one was gone, I was like, maybe I only saw one.
[1:20:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I couldn't believe that it got them, that it got them so quick.
[1:20:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, and then the other one was ran away.
[1:20:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And I was like, but also, again, that bird.
[1:20:31] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, like we're going back to that bird.
[1:20:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That bird was big enough to do this to a T-Rex.
[1:20:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then I mean, to it for lots of time to just fly off, right?
[1:20:38] \[SPEAKER_02\]: At one point, he looks so massive.
[1:20:40] \[SPEAKER_02\]: But the way he was moving around that got to him.
[1:20:42] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Okay, if I was like, didn't burning that big.
[1:20:44] \[SPEAKER_02\]: And then we need to do it anyway.
[1:20:46] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I'm just
[1:20:48] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, maybe we need more purpose.
[1:20:49] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Our purpose expensive animatronics more expensive to see.
[1:20:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They're not doing they're not doing them as much anymore since Stan Winston died.
[1:20:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't know if his studio is still making purpose like that, but but since Stan was his death like so many like the Jurassic world movies.
[1:21:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think either barely have any puppets or don't have any puppets.
[1:21:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think that first movie definitely did have like a cupping the first movie to see you.
[1:21:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But I don't know when I haven't been paying as much attention to the characters we're all CGI for sure.
[1:21:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:21:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:21:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: A lot of them were a lot of things we're seeing.
[1:21:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:21:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, we get this weird hybrid thing, which they, they didn't even really, they were just like, yeah, they were experimenting with basically it wasn't even like in the other Jurassic World movies, these hybrids were like made specifically to be even a scarier killing machines.
[1:21:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And like this one, they were like, oh yeah, these were ones that like we just messed up.
[1:21:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And we like, just left on this random test.
[1:21:48] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We kind of just left, but it was just like, these were the ones that were like, like, oops, like, Whoopsies.
[1:21:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Nope.
[1:21:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, that was wrong, but it wasn't like scary.
[1:21:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It wasn't supposed to be like more intelligent or anything like that.
[1:22:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And therefore, it wasn't even that.
[1:22:04] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It was just like, what was the difference between this or a T-Rex?
[1:22:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, I mean, I understand I had the claw to like,
[1:22:10] \[SPEAKER_04\]: grab somebody and like you them, which they really like obsessed with that.
[1:22:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Also, what happened to the dinosaur from Jurassic Park three?
[1:22:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: They never brought that guy back.
[1:22:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, yeah.
[1:22:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But that, what that specific dinosaur, we have not seen that one again, but that's what was in the water.
[1:22:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Those were what the, uh, those were what was in the water helping the most sort of hunt and what they're just smaller ones.
[1:22:34] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, yeah, I would say so.
[1:22:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I mean, the only one we ever really saw was that one that stood up and grabbed home girl, but it was far enough a way that maybe we didn't quite get the scale of that one either, you know, but yeah, that's they're the same one I want to say.
[1:22:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Again, that's why I thought it was going to eventually start walking up next to them because they could because they do it.
[1:22:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Wasn't it in Jurassic Park three?
[1:22:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I felt like that thing was massive.
[1:23:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was huge.
[1:23:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:23:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:23:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was huge.
[1:23:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And they leaned into how big it was because the point was that it was going to you serve the two wrecks.
[1:23:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But you could do any, you know, you could, you could see it of any side, you know, but yeah, it was massive.
[1:23:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[1:23:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, anything else?
[1:23:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't, I mean, like, I could talk about this all night, but we shouldn't.
[1:23:24] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I got to be real by my, by my, the fireworks of my dogs, but I, I appreciated that T-rex scene.
[1:23:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I appreciate what they were trying to do.
[1:23:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I just felt like, ultimately, it was just like a, a much lesser version of, you know, the Jurassic Park.
[1:23:39] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And here's what they meant.
[1:23:42] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The first three tracks apart.
[1:23:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The sequels weren't like, obviously as good as the first one.
[1:23:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But I just think there was such a precipitous drop from, like, I guess Jurassic World is fine too.
[1:23:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's just like, I don't know, man, these movies.
[1:24:02] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think this is the fourth, fourth best Jurassic Park movie.
[1:24:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think this, wait, you think it's better than Jurassic World?
[1:24:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, I think it's, I think it goes.
[1:24:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You think it's better than Jurassic Park three.
[1:24:18] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I think so, but I have to rewatch Jurassic Park three because Jurassic Park three every now and again, when I saw it again after world, I was like, oh, no, this is better than work because at the very least, these characters are real people and there's actual stakes.
[1:24:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Where exactly?
[1:24:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: World feels insane.
[1:24:33] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like it's like you go back and look at the world.
[1:24:35] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No one's behaving.
[1:24:36] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No one's behaving real.
[1:24:37] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like what is it like?
[1:24:39] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Um, so I guess it depends on what you are looking for.
[1:24:42] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But right now I rated under underworld, which is fourth to me right now.
[1:24:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then then Park three is fifth in terms of movies or just talk about movies.
[1:24:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I think Jurassic Park three is definitely is better than this movie.
[1:24:55] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
[1:24:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, yeah.
[1:24:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:24:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: What other sequences, like, oh, you were saying, you liked the convenience store sequence.
[1:25:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I did like it.
[1:25:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I did.
[1:25:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It did not bother me because it because when it's, it truly, it was the fact that like, they're like getting stalked and then suddenly you realize it's the kitchen scene.
[1:25:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It wasn't like, we're about to do the, every call back.
[1:25:20] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I said, it's already.
[1:25:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But every call back,
[1:25:22] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And in all the other movies, it's like, yeah, remember Jurassic Park.
[1:25:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And this is like, I'm tired of that.
[1:25:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And so then when it became even more overt like zooming in on the tapping claw and stuff, it was like, that is cool that it's the, you know, um, and that this is happening to them in this in this way.
[1:25:40] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So I did like that.
[1:25:42] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And I liked a lot of these sequences.
[1:25:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I liked the Quetzal sequence.
[1:25:44] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I liked the, you know, I liked the D-Rex kind of appearing in the fog.
[1:25:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I liked that they were like in the tunnels and the thing was in the tunnels.
[1:25:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: They didn't do much with that.
[1:25:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I thought that could have been made.
[1:25:54] \[SPEAKER_03\]: She just shot him all the scarier, like we could have seen it stalking them more.
[1:25:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, we could have kind of experienced that a little bit more, but yeah, but I just kind of kind of one moment.
[1:26:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:26:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:26:06] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But the shoes get down boom.
[1:26:08] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You know, the daughter of deciding she's gonna, she's gonna slide through and help.
[1:26:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That was really sweet and, and by now we know that the family's blessed.
[1:26:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So seeing her do it is just fun to see her do it.
[1:26:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I, and I'll just say this.
[1:26:23] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I also genuinely had hoped somebody was gonna die once it really started getting dire at the end.
[1:26:29] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was like,
[1:26:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay, we've had a lot of fun with like then being blessed and like we know that the family's not nothing's going to happen, but then it was like, not somebody can the tag and die or, you know, the boyfriend can can sacrifice himself or or Mahersula, who I think actually should have died, you know, but none of that happens.
[1:26:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That was infuriating.
[1:26:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That was infuriating.
[1:26:48] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That literally no one died.
[1:26:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It was infuriating.
[1:26:51] \[SPEAKER_02\]: How many movies do you do the whole, um, flare thing?
[1:26:54] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It was in the first thing.
[1:26:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I always do it.
[1:26:55] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's in all of them.
[1:26:57] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It's in, it's in, it may not be in two.
[1:27:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No, no, it definitely isn't two, right?
[1:27:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It isn't two.
[1:27:06] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Isn't it the, isn't, doesn't, I feel like somebody tries to do it with the T-Rex and dies.
[1:27:12] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Oh, maybe, maybe it might be a, it might be.
[1:27:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It might be, it's been so long since I, I thought it was in the, by the way,
[1:27:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: The Lost World Jurassic Park is Loki a pretty really, really fun Jurassic Park.
[1:27:26] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I just got long towards in, that's it.
[1:27:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And here's the thing, in comparison to the first one, I get why people are like, oh, it's not that good.
[1:27:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But like when you go back and you watch the lost world, you're like, this movie has some of maybe even the best, like that first, that scene in the camper with the, uh, yeah.
[1:27:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And then there are two, and then it's like, there are two T-Rexes now.
[1:27:49] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like that reveal is so good.
[1:27:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That whole sequence is maybe one of the best sequences in Jurassic and the Jurassic Park franchise.
[1:27:58] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Let alone, you know.
[1:28:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Absolutely.
[1:28:00] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Just a sequel.
[1:28:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Absolutely.
[1:28:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Anyway, that, uh, I thought maybe there was a flare thing there, but maybe not.
[1:28:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: There might there genuinely might be a flare in that one.
[1:28:10] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I just, I think it's okay that they used a flare to distract.
[1:28:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It didn't feel too, it didn't feel too like, like, referencing to me.
[1:28:17] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It just felt like that was the way they distracted.
[1:28:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know, I would, I had no problem with the flare.
[1:28:22] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I, I just, you know what it is, ultimately.
[1:28:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This movie was,
[1:28:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Fine, it's just like I think I just didn't care enough about the characters and that's kind of like what separates the bit like the one that do that feel better than the other ones.
[1:28:38] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's like you care at least you care more about those characters and like you're having fun with them.
[1:28:43] \[SPEAKER_04\]: And I was like, I don't really feel like as much of that, like, imagine it was cool, but like, I don't know how much fun were we really having with them.
[1:28:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Any?
[1:28:52] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Not much.
[1:28:53] \[SPEAKER_03\]: The most fun we were having I thought was between Bailey and Scarjo, but then they didn't even,
[1:28:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: they didn't even allow that relationship to grow.
[1:29:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like I don't, I don't, like I keep going to like, you know, she finds love and she loves Joan and or he finds love and they find each other or something because he was clear.
[1:29:11] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But it doesn't even have to be that.
[1:29:13] \[SPEAKER_03\]: It could have just been that they grew closer, like she opens up to him, he opens up to her because they're both so into their own work.
[1:29:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But that didn't even, that didn't even happen.
[1:29:24] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And that's like so infuriating to me.
[1:29:28] \[SPEAKER_03\]: and then the rehearsal should have died.
[1:29:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Those are the things that I thought should have happened.
[1:29:32] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like, and you just don't feel that.
[1:29:34] \[SPEAKER_03\]: You don't feel a relationship brewing, and you don't feel, and you don't feel, and it doesn't seem like my hersula earns the like, I can finally rest now because blah, blah, blah, I say that kid or whatever.
[1:29:47] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah.
[1:29:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: All right.
[1:29:52] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Well, we very review films not based on how much we like them, but whether or not they help the cause and more leading black actors or actors of color in Hollywood.
[1:29:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We feel like it fully helps the cause, that cause.
[1:30:01] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We give it a black fist.
[1:30:02] \[SPEAKER_04\]: If we feel like it's somewhat helps the cause, we give it a white palm.
[1:30:05] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Feel like it doesn't really help the cause at all.
[1:30:07] \[SPEAKER_04\]: We don't give it anything.
[1:30:08] \[SPEAKER_04\]: So in the count of three, we'll raise up our ratings for Jurassic World rebirth.
[1:30:13] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Not based on how much we liked it.
[1:30:14] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But cause.
[1:30:16] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[1:30:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: All right.
[1:30:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Okay.
[1:30:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: in the count of three, one, two, three.
[1:30:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, three white palms.
[1:30:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that's about right.
[1:30:30] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Yeah, I think mostly because of my man's, what's the name, what's the name, what's the name, David, David?
[1:30:38] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Not the sad, the boy friend.
[1:30:43] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Mostly because of him, but that whole family, you know.
[1:30:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: David, yeah.
[1:30:49] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And mostly because of that.
[1:30:50] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And then, you know, Mahershula, you know, I said this to y'all, but that, like, it's like, I bet they reroute the ending so that Mahershula can come back because they knew they weren't going to do blade.
[1:31:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So they were like, oh, we can, we can bring them back.
[1:31:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, he's available.
[1:31:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: All right, let's, we got to reshoot the ending.
[1:31:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: So, you know, more movies from Mahershula is, you know, I'm down for that.
[1:31:13] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Marshley to be leading movies man.
[1:31:15] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I'm like, it's so crazy to me that my man has not let a movie in.
[1:31:19] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It is wild.
[1:31:20] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It is like Jonathan Bailey was more of the lead than he was, which I was just like, why?
[1:31:27] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, why?
[1:31:28] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I mean, John Bailey is cool, but like, what's going on?
[1:31:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like, how is my hersula not like his heat?
[1:31:36] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Is he supposed to be the Ian Malcolm in this movie, but even that he's not because he doesn't have a fun thing.
[1:31:45] \[SPEAKER_04\]: He doesn't have a thing.
[1:31:46] \[SPEAKER_04\]: This thing in this movie is I'm not going to die in the jungle.
[1:31:51] \[SPEAKER_04\]: That's his thing.
[1:31:53] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know what I mean?
[1:31:54] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like he has no.
[1:31:56] \[SPEAKER_03\]: What's his character?
[1:31:58] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And honestly, had that been like a catch phrase like I'm getting too old for this.
[1:32:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: or what?
[1:32:03] \[SPEAKER_02\]: That's at least something.
[1:32:05] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That would have been actually hilarious if like, if after every, if after every scrape, he was like, not today, jungle, like some dumb shit like that.
[1:32:15] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's the other thing about this.
[1:32:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's so funny.
[1:32:17] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's like, with these characters, it's like, I know Scarlett technically says like, this maybe will be my last mission and maybe it could be your last mission.
[1:32:26] \[SPEAKER_04\]: But like, it doesn't feel like it's their last mission.
[1:32:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: You know what I mean?
[1:32:30] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like it doesn't.
[1:32:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: No.
[1:32:32] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's not like it isn't like a Danny Glover in Leet the weapon where you feel like this dude's about to retire like it doesn't feel like that.
[1:32:40] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It just feels like this is a thing that they do and they always do and they felt like it was so normal even though it wasn't normal.
[1:32:46] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I just watched a rewatch the old guard last night and had this felt like the old guard like where it's like oh man by the end of this I like these people still work together again or whatever the James you watching new one though.
[1:32:59] \[SPEAKER_03\]: No, not yet.
[1:33:00] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I'm going to watch.
[1:33:01] \[SPEAKER_03\]: We had to rewatch it because we couldn't remember what happened.
[1:33:03] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Okay, that would off.
[1:33:04] \[SPEAKER_03\]: I don't know.
[1:33:05] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, I cut that off.
[1:33:07] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Oh, okay.
[1:33:09] \[SPEAKER_03\]: That's why I thought it was who left about it.
[1:33:12] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Get this out of here.
[1:33:14] \[SPEAKER_03\]: But anyway, yeah, that's exactly right.
[1:33:16] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like how did felt like this was the last mission for them, you know.
[1:33:21] \[SPEAKER_03\]: And like, and that like, they have strong Jonathan Bailey along, because it did, it also didn't really feel like that.
[1:33:26] \[SPEAKER_03\]: Like he didn't really feel like out of his element, you know, it did that in feeling enough.
[1:33:31] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah, like they didn't feel like, I don't know.
[1:33:33] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I don't know.
[1:33:34] \[SPEAKER_04\]: just how they got everybody here was just so lazy and I think it really made them most of the movie like not feel that that cool because it just wasn't it's not invested enough and because of that that's why I gave it a poem because I not because of the idea like the movie because it was just like I don't know of the outside of David like a lot of people really didn't even get to shine that much you know and you know I mean I think David it did work I wasn't so into it I just kind of was
[1:34:03] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I was like, yeah, honestly, the feeling that I had watching it was like, I was like, oh my God.
[1:34:09] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Am I a millennial looking at like a Genzi actor being like, oh, I'm like this Genzi.
[1:34:15] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Is this the Genzi vibe?
[1:34:18] \[SPEAKER_04\]: I literally was like, is this how these kids are nowadays?
[1:34:21] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Cause man, I don't like this.
[1:34:22] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Is this how these kids are nowadays?
[1:34:25] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Cause man, I don't like this.
[1:34:27] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I mean, I think also acting is, we talk about this.
[1:34:29] \[SPEAKER_02\]: I think acting style are changing a little bit where like, um,
[1:34:33] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It is a lot of, we can talk about that later.
[1:34:35] \[SPEAKER_02\]: It's just, I think acting styles are changing.
[1:34:37] \[SPEAKER_02\]: So I think what you're, what you're feeling is very, like a lot of people have been feeling that way, but it's like that's what he's seeing.
[1:34:45] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah, but I think that's a real thing, but I think that's because the style of acting is, it's not right.
[1:34:50] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Like what he was trying, what he was doing is, is, so it was a kind of, that's interesting.
[1:34:55] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:34:56] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It felt like it.
[1:34:57] \[SPEAKER_02\]: Yeah.
[1:34:57] \[SPEAKER_04\]: It's, yeah.
[1:34:59] \[SPEAKER_04\]: Yeah.
