Method to the Madness: Ayelet Waldman 2.24.17 Ayelet Waldman, novelist, essayist, screenwriter, and activist, talks about her new non-fiction book A Really Good Day: How Microdosing Made a Mega Difference in My Mood, My Marriage, and My Life, in which she describes a month long experiment treating her unstable moods with minuscule doses of LSD. Finding psychotropic med prescriptions of little help, Waldman became intrigued by the work of Dr. James Fadiman, a psychologist and researcher who has chronicled the positive effects of microdosing LSD. Waldman is also a lawyer, an accomplished former federal public defender and former teacher at Boalt Hall, U. C. Berkeley's law school. Her legal career includes working to rescue women from prison and advocating for drug-policy reform.
