MYRRHA is an accelerator-driven research reactor at SCK CEN (Belgium) whose timing system will be based on White Rabbit and the White Rabbit Event Node. At SCK CEN, we have ported the White Rabbit Event Node project to the DAMC-FMC2ZUP mTCA AMC card. In this implementation, the host applications run on the APU of the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC instead of an external CPU.

This presentation will explore the motivations behind the porting effort, the challenges encountered, and the technical aspects of its implementation as well as the initial approach of the timing system for MYRRHA based on mTCA platform.
