This American Government textbook provides a comprehensive introduction to the U.S. political system, beginning with foundational concepts of politics, governance, and civic engagement. It explores the development of the U.S. Constitution through philosophical roots, the first American government, and the principles and debates behind its ratification. The text then delves into federalism, examining the division and evolution of power between national and state governments.
