This text is designed for CHEM 231 Organic Chemistry I, the first semester of a one-year organic chemistry sequence. Topics include the chemistry of hydrocarbons with emphasis on structure and reactivity of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, and conjugated systems.
