"The Arabian Nights Entertainments - Volume 01" by Anonymous is a collection of Middle Eastern folktales compiled during the Islamic Golden Age. A king, devastated by betrayal, vows to marry and execute a virgin each morning. His vizier's daughter Scheherazade volunteers as bride, then cleverly postpones her death by telling captivating stories that end on cliffhangers each night. For one thousand and one nights, she weaves tales of adventure, magic, jinn, sorcerers, and legendary places, buying her life one story at a time. (Summary by Project Gutenberg, written by machine.)
