Papilio polymnestor, Blue Mormon, is a large swallowtail butterfly found in South India and Sri Lanka. This is a prepupa. The caterpillar can be distinguished from Papilio polytes, which it resembles, by its larger size, greenish white color of the underside and collar band. In Papilio polytes, the collar band and underside of segments 1 to 5 are dark/brown. (ID by Balakrishnan Valappil)
