Branch of a horse chestnut in Sentmaring park in autumn, Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany The name is derived from “Park am ehemaligen Haus Sentmaring” (Park at the former Sentmaring House). However, the Sentmaring House, which gave the park its name, was demolished in 2003, along with its outbuildings. The garden has remained a landscape park. Part of the moat and a small cemetery east of the old moat have been preserved. On the west side of the park, directly adjacent to the busy federal highway 219 (Weseler Straße), a neo-baroque garden gate has been preserved. The landscape park itself was created in the 19th century.
