Dome and crossing of the Roman Catholic church and Monastery of St. Francis, Quito, Ecuador. The monastery complex, the largest architectural ensemble among the historical structures of colonial Latin America, was completed in the 16th century. Construction took 150 years, and the building exhibits a mixture of architectural styles.
