Frescos in the ceiling of the basilica (built between 1563-1584) of the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid, Spain. The frescoes are work of Luca Giordano, dating from the reign of Charles II, and depict the death, burial, and Assumption of the Virgin.
