From a high ridge, twin alpine lakes emerge in quiet symmetry, their still surfaces reflecting the stark geometry of the surrounding Himalaya. Fed by glacial melt, Nundkol Lake and Gangabal Lake sit in a fragile balance shaped by altitude, water, and time. Captured at ~13,400 ft near Zaj Pass during an 8-day Kashmir great lakes trek.
