The Helong Bridge, located on the Jinsha (Upper Yangtze) River at the border between Deqin County in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and Derong County in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China, was named in honour of General He Long, who led the Chinese Red Army to cross the Jinsha River near this site in 1936. The bridge was built in 1958 and is now preserved as a memorial. The cliff sculpture of the flag of the Chinese Red Army is on the right of the picture.
