The Diwan-i-Am in Agra Fort is the Hall of Public Audience, where the Mughal emperor addressed his subjects and heard petitions. Built of red sandstone with a large open hall and rows of columns supporting a flat roof, it features a raised marble platform (jharokha) from which the emperor presided.
