A kite aerial photo of Sipar, an archaeological site in Istria, Croatia.

The settlement at Sipar was established the early 1st century BCE, went through many phases, prospered and getting destroyed a couple of times, until it finally went under the tide of history. Now the archaeologists are putting together its amazing story. And from above Sipar looks ... amazing.

Shot by Janez Vizjak with a camera attached to a kite line.

The blue speck above the centre of the sand spit is another kite, also carrying a camera :-)
