A Bencini Comet camera. Using 127 film, they were made by CMF Bencini in Italy from 1948. The rotary shutter was set to 1/50, but also supported a B mode - the lever on the right of the lens is currently raised, placing it in that configuration. The lens could be manually focused, although there was no rangefinder, and the negatives were 4x3cm "portrait" images. The body of the camera was made from cast aluminium.
