Villages in the west part of Hullathy Gram Panchayat, view to the SW from below Melur. A steep valley in the north face of the Nilgiri Mountains, being in the rain shadow it gets low rainfall. Villagers have created a vibrant agrarian economy, largely vegetables and tea, using terraces and irrigation.
