Thorsten Nordenfelt, by C. M. Bell Restoration notes A lot of damage, but little of it on the face and only a bit on the jacket. There was a lot of damage to the background - especially the big thumbprint on the right, but there was never much information there, just some random gradients, so the major damage was well away from important areas. Does mean the random background gradients might not perfectly reflect the original gradients in places with high damage, but then, almost none of the encyclopedic value is in those parts of the image anyway. The jacket, meanwhile, has a pattern and texture, which gives a lot of information about what should be in damaged areas, and, as I said, was less damaged than the background.
