Rich ceiling of the Niobe room, Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italy. The room is an example of neoclassical architecture. It was commissioned by Leopold II to provide an appropriate setting for the sculptural group (known as Niobe group) found in Rome at the beginning of 1583. The architects in church of the room were Zanobi del Rosso and Gaspare Maria Paoletti, but it was Giuseppe del Moro, who created the panelled ceiling decorated with gilded roses.
